"Order. It's a Denver Defense Without von Miller too. So it makes you wonder if. Tennessee offense is gonNA run into some issues this year without. Lying. I think they just caught the whole by storm is here. Yeah I live Tanna. Zanele Tannehill look like a guy that was going to be a backup quarterback presses current and he just walked his way to multi million dollar contract. That's an interesting division and they look like a nine and seventeen when you that division this year. So it'll be interesting to see how plays out but colts don't look good Jackson looks better than expected but still not great. So. Yeah I'm actually really looking forward to seeing how Robinson Luxury Jacksonville. Nice busy at a solid game like rushing wise and a couple of I believe and. That was his first game as an undrafted free agent. He didn't even he was fourth stringer until two weeks ago. Yeah. It's cool to see from Illinois state. So you know. Close to home for us, but one other interesting stat is that both the Jaguars and the titans have the only two running backs last week to have one hundred percent of the teams carries for the running back. So I miss that that's what I'm saying. It'd be interesting to see if he gets like ninety five percent of the touches again. Yeah. Amazing. It's it's compel they're both compelling starts because the Tennessee defense didn't inspire me the way. I thought they would and Jacksonville's is not got it all. So Dude, how bad their events get over like right after they made that run to the Super Bowl. It's amazing. They were so close to winning and like going to the super bowl now again now, we don't want to do that anymore. It all came crashing down. So quickly, which is one of the things about football is you don't need to rebuild like a baseball team. You can put together a competing team within one or two seasons, and then it can all fall apart with one or two seasons. Injuries, injuries, and regression regressions back injury and regression. That's what it is. Is. There any other richer bigger gods are frank? I mean regression such a big thing like I always fault trap to it. I always take someone who is unlike uptick the year before I draft him in addition progress. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA name my fantasy team team aggression I. usually draft one year before they're God then they regressed to being good. So were you trade you trade them one week before going off As true and then give Dylan a sixteenth round Alvin Kamara keeper for the next I Berman years of all I was tax people were taxing criticizing me when I made that trade. So where I I was. Founded it. Now, you were. Get asked. In Russell Wilson's number five of Alvin. KAMERA's rookie year Russell Wilson marriage straight up because I attack. Adrian Peterson have been caught. Camaros starting to come on strong but he had done I. think he put together like a ten eleven? I. Mean he was solid. I. Thought I was getting a Here's Watch College Belmont I was just like I really liked the way this guy loads when you're on the wall. And then. The rest of the season happy knows like all my God and that's when I found love in for context too. I mean you're GonNa win and YOU'RE GONNA lose trades it happens to everybody what hurts the most knew he was going to be that right? What hurts the most is that Dylan actually wanted Doug Martin and I was like, no, I can't give up that much. Value. Out I thought, I was doing a missile by giving them. A guy was sixteenth around keeper so but you can't don't I've made a lot of trade since then at one he's won some key is. Also will fish rendered will be number one quarterback year. Man We played in US runner up game. So I guess I got sweet revenge winning third place which forever this work but it is a trade that just goes down in History Sean drafted Alvin Kamara in the sixteenth round four out of six leagues. I don't know how he knew about him I. Don't Know How you actually knew to take him. It spent almost a plague though because since then I've been trying to hit the same way I did that and I think I've wasted a lot of guys aren't what made you pick him in the sixteenth throughout what made you say who informed you because I don't think you're at the Saints Practices Right Isis Lock, you know. Like you take a chance on them and it works out for him at work out for us. Open my chance I'm Brian Edwards and all my keep your lease in the last round works out. Is there any other to match ups you guys wanted to talk about? Gobert Zimmerman Minana. New England Seattle Sunday night should be a lot of fun but I don't know I don't really know the defenses are like they're it's mean Seattle got scored on a lot of that game, which is kind of out of hand with passing like crazy and then New England played Miami which I don't really have not. That's a barometer further defense. Yeah I'm kind of interested to see the raiders. Monday. Oh that's a good Monday night game. Yeah. I I want to see how good the saints are without my I. Think The saints when they lose someone like last year remember they lost drew brees and they went six. They got murdered by the Rams in the game that he got hurt by saints and especially like Champagne in that coaching staff I think that they love new challenges. So when something happens like their defense was just fired up when drew brees went out there one of the best events is the NFL I think that you could see that again I think you could see their defense just firing on all cylinders defense is pretty good about the buccaneers. So yeah, I mean they have they.

Chicago White Sox clinch winning season, plus current playoff field
"Turn your head because I certainly did over the past couple of days maybe I got washed up at a bit of college football, the NFL return and but I didn't realize the Chicago White Sox. We're now in first place in the American league central after going eight and two in their last ten games they are. Let's see a game up on the Minnesota twins who have figured things out and are now in second place in that. Leaves the Cleveland Indians losers of six straight all the way down to third place at twenty and twenty one and four and a half games out. So so the Indians have gone from first place in the division arguably the team to beat in the American League two. Now, a wildcard team outside of the top two in the division and four and a half games out just that quickly I mean, don't you know six in a row and when the white sox are winning four that's at least. Four Games in the last four days and with a deficit of four and a half, it's gone from a half a game to four and a half year. By the time Friday rolled around you have the Detroit Tigers at twenty and twenty six, and then the Kansas City royals at twenty and twenty eight. Neither of them are atrocious baseball teams, which honestly is a bit better than I had anticipated for both of them but neither of them are going to be infecting the playoff picture with their presence. Where do we go here? The Chicago White SOx thirty and sixteen winners of four, straight eight and two in their last ten they swept the Tigers this past weekend. Let's take a look at their scheduled down the stretch here. See who they have coming up. They have four with the Minnesota twins who I just spoke about being a game back. So this'll be a fantastic series between the white. SOX and the twins it'll be in Minnesota Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday some fantastic pitching matchups in those. Then they travel to Cincinnati to Cleveland and retell her for return home ver-. CHICAGO. So the white sox tough schedule down the stretch with clubs over five hundred and then the reds mixed in there. So we'll see if they can continue to play quality baseball they continue to be led by Jose Abreu. He's crushing the Baseball fifteen home runs. Forty eight RB is Tim Anderson is currently your Major League leader. In batting average, he'd be your batting champion at three, sixty two. If he qualifies in Thirty six games, one, hundred, fifty, two are bats I think he has just qualified fine when it comes to that statistic on the pitching side of things Lucas g Alito. Continues to pitch well, Dallas Kaikal not a lot of people talking about it but six in two two, one, nine era talk about a successful year Then you got mad foster coming out of the bullpen with a one three, one era so Chicago a well rounded team they were my surprise bic in the American league at least they got the memo because. My Cincinnati reds on the other side will get to them but they still haven't figured things out sell but hey, one or two in regards to surprise picks. So the summer I'll take that absolutely. Did I think they'd be a first place team I didn't think the white sox will be a first place team but I certainly thought they were good enough to. Make the wild card and make the playoffs. Now we're talking standard one, sixty, two, five teams but yeah, certainly a pleasant surprise on the south side of the windy city.

"And so I'm eighty one and eighty one. I probably would have gone a significant amount higher if they had gotten mookie betts but they did not and I think the future is probably pretty bright but it's probably closer to twenty twenty one and twenty two uh-huh so if you nail it and they do win eighty one. It's been ten years since the padres trays last winning season and that would not be a winning season. Would there be a lot of angst among the fan base. Would they think we're behind where we should be or where we thought we would be a a few years ago or would that be as okay. Well it's progress and this is just the Bridgier to when we really start winning. That's partially dependent on how they get to eighty one and it would definitely be seen with angst in that team like this fanbase really really really wants to go to the playoffs. But if they get to eighty one if if they get to eighty one and the reason they lose eighty one games is because maybe Garrett Richards isn't Garrett Richards maybe Joey Luke as he struggles a little bit guys that like you know going forward you're GonNa have answers in the rotation with Mackenzie Gore Louise Patino and maybe the reason the offense struggled a little bit is because does the catching situation is fully resolved. Ann Lewis Camp Asano is is the answer. Their long-term their their past to a successful eighty one win not accessible athlete when when season but at eighty one win season. That's palatable but the overarching theme I think if they win. Eighty one games is probably GONNA be disappointment. Well even if they win only eighty one. They'll look good doing it. Because the Brown and Gold is back the classic padres uniforms resurrected which I think everyone is happy about including non padres fans but padres fans especially especially feel like the identity of the franchise has been restored in some sense along with those traditional colors. So they've got that going for them which is nice you can read about the padres all season long. Ha will read about them at an upbeat dot com and you can find him on twitter at his name. Ha Castle Aj. Thank you very much. Thanks for having me guys all right. Let's take a quick break. We'll be right back to talk to James. Begin about the white sox. Aw could win well come back strong. "From the padres has been in the news this week as we record? No one has officially league traded for Mookie Betts but the padres are definitely not trading for him. It seem so. How close did they come to getting him? Do you have any sense of what what package was under discussion. And why do you think that fell through. And is there a reason that it did. I don't think it ever got close per se in the sense that like Both teams kind of felt like it might happen. But it was definitely close enough within wear like Kinda throughout the past week week after I had people within the organization saying hey there's so momentum here this is the thing that might happen because I think with. Aj probably hear about a lot of different rumors all the time and a lot of them don't have legs it's just AJ calling guys or guys calling him because he has the good prospects to trade and so this was real and the package was something along. The lines of Wil Myers plus some cash for part of his salary and then a they package of prospects slash young major leaguers. which if I had to guess would have been led by Louis campus auto who is kind of the top guy in their second appear if you WANNA qualify the first year as Mackenzie Gore Lewis Patino? Cj Abrahams guys who are off limits. Especially for a guy who. mookie Betts would have only been a a one one year guy for the padres and so it seems like based on what the dodgers ended up giving up for bets like. The Red Sox had two different avenues. News for what they would do to get rid of vets and one of them was take this package of prospects slash young major leaguers which might have included. I Dunno Josh Naylor or Ormen while Marco or Joey Lucozzi. That was probably a better package. But it doesn't include David Price and they don't end up getting under the luxury tax threshold without taking on David Price Bryson. So that's where I think this whole thing went awry for the padres and I think ultimately it could have been. It could've been a deal that came to fruition if the dodgers weren't involved involved but the the red sox kind of knew what they wanted to do and that was again under the luxury tax threshold. Dodgers helped them that the best. It's one of those situations. Where if the PADRES madres had gotten him they would have gotten him? They also have kept the dodgers from getting him and vice versa. And that doesn't always happen that way where it's like. It's kind of like a two for one where you're making your your main rival worse the same time. But I kind of wonder whether I'm thinking about that wrong because maybe the padres don't really see the dodgers as catchable anyway and they see themselves as you know essentially playing for ninety plus wins for a bunch of years and you know some wild cards and a lot of happy seasons where they're in in pennant races and not starting this season looking at seventy games. So do you think they view the dodgers as their main kind of competitive rival right now or are is that sort of out of range given just how can unstoppable. The dodgers seem as an organization for the next few years I think to question in for for the span of what Bets contract is which is just one more season. I don't think the padres are even close to being the dodgers right. Well even if they had gotten mookie Betts I. I don't know that puts them within ten wins the dodgers who are probably a hundred win team again and so is in the short term that that is one way to look at it a year a year from now if the if the padres progress and get better in these young guys do what they're supposed to do. The pitcher pitching staff becomes kind of Chris. Patrick McKenzie Gore or maybe Louis Patino and they didn't give up prospects for mookie Betts. Maybe they're in a better spot that being said. I think there's a lot of people here that want to want to see the gap closed close on the dodgers and I don't think the Padres long-term view the dodgers as uncatchable. They probably view them as uncatchable in twenty twenty with or without Mookie Betts. And so it's it's it's a steep hill to climb when you're playing in the National League West especially given the resources the dodgers have but the sense that they are losing out on this guy and he's going to division vision rival. I think that's probably a little bit more fan driven because fans here associated the dodgers when Indonesian every single year than it is we need to catch the dodgers in the National League West. Because and if we're being realistic they probably weren't going to do that anyway. So we'll be talking about the white socks a little later in this episode and these teams are sort of in a similar boat. I think in that they haven't haven't been good for a while. They put together. Strong farm systems have a lot of compelling young promising players some of whom have already broken through and they've made some outside it investments in signings and trades and so I think the padres kind of well they beat the white sox to Manny Machado last winter and of course there was the hosmer signing and so so they have made some investments this off season. They didn't spend a ton of money. They got drew pomeranz. They made the Louis Rea- straight and got Trent grisham Insect Davies from the brewers. Were they very much in the running for other big free agents. Did they consider spending more than they did. Obviously they. They went after mookie so they felt like they aristo room to improve there. So did they come close to anything else and do they feel disappointed by their winter. Was Pretty much what they had in mind I think they would. I have probably called the winter relative victory if things kind of hadn't gone off the rails in Mookie gone to the dodgers division rival. Is We kind of said. It's interesting the way. Their winter went because the beginning of the winter. You look at the team in the first thing you kind of think that they needed starting pitching because there were so many question marks on the pitching teaching staff aged probably even at the deadline last season when they didn't get Noah syndergaard or anyone else for the rotation he said something lines of well will basically get in the off season and then they went out really really didn't do anything to shore up rotation they focused all their energies on building a really good bullpen which I vote bullpens are volatile but I think it might be the best. That's bullpen in the National League. And then they really tried to shore up their offense with with Grisham and Tommy Famine Jerks profile and these are all the Tummy Fam- trade eight is probably is the big one but the rest of the moves. Were just to kind of get a little better around the edges. They were all the interesting part of their all win. Now moves in so trading for Tommy. Fam- you get two years of him when you could have had four years of Hunter Renfro. In six years Xavier Edwards in trading signing drew pomeranz. His best seasons are now in the next or maybe the next year or two and I think. Aj prowler in the past has kind of been building for the future when you judge offseason moves and even their pursued a monkey bats. It's pretty clear that that he would like twenty twenty to be the year that this window for contention or at least that they kind of push for that wildcard spot and he's is also moves kind of indicated that and then they they didn't get Mukhi beds biting It's telling just the sense that they were after mookie betts whereas I don't know that in the past even though they went after hosman they went after Machado. Those were with a long-term vision in mind. This was very clearly a let's winning twenty twenty. And that's that's what they want to do. I kinda find it very hard to assess the padres because you know like last year. We thought that they would be you know pretty good kinda take some steps forward and then be awesome this year and sure sure enough. Halfway through the season they were pretty good and a bunch of great things that happened and there were some can't some players who had really taken big steps forward and everything looked right and then they were like just about the worst team in baseball from the rest of the season and I don't know what caused that. Why why what happened in the second half like? How much does that reset all of the expectations that we had for the same or reassess who they are what they are what they're capable of versus it just being three bad months? So can you tell me what happened in the second half yet. I think that's a question. The padres front office kind of been grappling with winter like this version of the team. That was that was pretty good in the first half and legitimately really exciting this version of the team. That's one of the worst baseball in the last two months and to me it's it was a bunch of different factors all of which kind of piled on top of each other there and became an turned into the second half padres. I kind of struggled out of the out of the gate in the second half and and they were on that buyer seller fringe rindge at the at the all-star break but by the deadline they were kind of out of it and then they traded away front. Mariah's who who everyone loved Fun Power Hitter in a guy who you don't overstate the importance of clubhouse presence but everyone their loved him any was a used their number four hitter and all of a sudden they trade him. Don't get any big league pieces back for it. And I think that was a blow and then two weeks later entities juniors out for the season as much as a twenty year old can be a catalyst for a team the whole entire padres offense kind of looked to him him to be that guy and those things happened and I think the padres were in it for so long and they. Maybe weren't that good. And as soon his things started spiraling they just they just kind of couldn't stop. Manny Machado wasn't who he was the first four months. Eric Hosmer was okay. At times. During the first part of the season he struggled down the stretch. They fired their manager in September and just kind of all seem to go off the rails and so if I if I have to assess it I think they're probably closer to the team that they were in the first half of the season on other the factors that the shut Chris Patrick Down for the season because of his innings limitations and so they're probably closer to the team. They were in the first half but they weren't that good but the second in half maybe allowed them to go into the off-season reassess some things and reassess maybe the value of Hunter Renfro whether they needed to upgrade their bullpen and their offense and so so they've done a few things to do that and ultimately if the second half force the padres hand to go out and get better this winter. Maybe it's viewed as a success long-term and of course the Patriots is were without Fernando Totti's junior for the last six weeks or so of the season which was disappointing..

"Traded. Obviously, you get team, you know, obviously very, very much more in Chicago, rebuild right now are you know taking away to the ranks that got a lot of who should strikes you make your major league debut against the Boston Red Sox in September second, that will. That is okay for team. We're from, you know, I'm from Rhode Island, you know, white by benway and not only do throw while sitting against vesting baseball, but you strike out my when my inflator baseball, nj berry Jackie, which you know nobody washing game to be fair unto. We didn't even know like we were. We were watching you. We were watching you really. Oh, that's cool. He's making a debut and they were like, oh, wow, yeah. Yeah, and then struck out at explorer, announce a cut catchy. So you take us through the motion that you go from the emotion of being kind of confused in like amps down, not women don't stock in the in the new guy traded, then you go over the White Sox. You get pushed into the system and now you making your major league debut gainful some day in against the loss. Yet. I mean, so getting traded, you know, I'm driving from brand to Charlotte, which is about ten hours. I mean, that was that was fun. And you know, I'm talking to my family's on going down. I'm talking to my fiancee, just everybody is drawn down this ten hours in one thing that everybody kept saying was White Sox, rebuilding. You're going to have an opportunity in it's time to season and in order to get an opportunity with the Yankees, it's an organization, but a lot of things had to happen in order for minor leaguer with pets with that organization to get a chance. And with the White Sox as mealy when I got there, I knew what the plan was like. They were seeing who is a part of their future. And I felt like I had a month trial in Charlotte, and the guys in Charlotte were fantastic staff. Teams, the team like the Charlotte wraps emit teammates were fantastic. Everybody welcome you with open arms, Tiffany, like two days to feel part of that Keith. And like I was included in everything in everybody was just fantastic douger. And then so the month was great. The last kitchen through I got tossed on triple eight. I was that was some cool. Got tossed out. Yeah, I got tossed out. So we're planning on Durham and Austin meadows is having a Hekmat game. He's four, three home, runs them yelling at like for anyone that doesn't have lost. The medal says exactly. He's, he's on fire tonight, and I enjoyed them like two or three or four days, something like that and we lose him. So we're just kind of cycling through Pinyo just getting whoever the freshest guy is out there. So I've got the night bidding and play seven. So I go out to get him to one goal festival up slider away, slide away, and I want to go fastball up at any challenge from a little bit, and I get him on the hand. He he's diving over the plea, get him on the hand, I get tossed immediately seven, nothing big. They wanted us like this strategy that really. Yeah, exactly. And it's not like it was the first pitch. He was the first Jenner the inning, but it was. So would come on. Yeah, exactly. And. So I get tossed immediately. Breads along manager gets tossed immediately, and I'm not even mad at the Durham guys at all. Like I don't care like the Deutz having a great game. I wanted to get him out. I won't make four or five. And. So I start yelling, like I gotta deal hitching side. That's, I mean, that's not cool, and he's like, you don't have enough control to go inside. And so I started, I started off on the unpire and their dugout shot. I was talking to them the whole time. And some benches clear and all that. And in our little Irwin pile. I ended up right next, Austin meadows because he was on first base after I did. And I just look over, are you good? He's he's like, do you do it on purpose? I'm like, oh, I wanted to get you out. He's like trout. I mean, what? What? What's the pointing is? This isn't don't. You see Sobat the up. You're trying to prove a point because you're the veteran and the season you're you pitch and Trump open system..

"So let him let him be slightly below average outfielder you can live with that, you know, especially with that outfit when he doesn't have to play the field. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. I mean, that's the best defensive outfielder in baseball with that without they should all win gold glove. While JJ should finally get his first gold glove. This year more, you can defensive outfielders. He might be the worst hair in baseball like legit. Adamy goal buddies phenomenal out there though. Yeah, he's good outfielder. I mean, that might legit keep him in the league for ten years. You so good defensively. He's Kevin care Meyer basically, like I was just, yeah, I was gonna, say bucks Meyer quite ninety to close off entity. I know you're Meyer only had one or two good years authencity, but I mean, he's he's a freak defensively. Yeah, he's he's sick up there and like Buxton have rallied rear four home runs against. The Yankees than Yankees fans like just going to Witter and look up. Adam eagle Yankees, and you'll get like just a scrolling list of all these Yankee fans. I fucking hate this fucking get who the hell is because he he was Reverend nothing. But bombs off from this year. Yeah. Was it in New York because that means they were hit what like two hundred five feet. Yeah. In New York this. So often you have anything else for days? White Sox, really. I mean, Dave, you were on real man. I mean, I do. You knew you're shit. Obviously. That was never question. I just didn't. I can't believe you came out and just vented it all out. No, this is like I said, this is kind of stuff I love to talk about right now because you know, I'm I didn't blog a lot this this year because obviously known cares read about Atta mingle or mat Davidson head some fans, Rhode Island right here that that read about that read about it a big, big fan over here. You're writing appreciate that one. Yeah. I mean, the White Sox as much as the meathead fans across the country, just assume they're going to be the White Sox because the White Sox been banned for the last ten years. They're, they're going to be really good. Ver-. Who did you emulate growing up in miles city Montana. Norm Charlton, use a lefty reliever for the Seattle Mariners in Billy Wagner Wagner what a great guy will look up after those are pools. I like it those. That's awesome. In an interview, you said that a Montana you played with the same group of guys throughout high school was a different playing with a different group of guys. When you got to the pros, did it take some getting used to. Not too differently. Like we, the group that I played with high school had been gathered since we were around nine to ten years old, and we played all the way through high school together. Never played high school baseball. So we are on the same team. It was out. I love as club, but getting drafted was was really cool. There's a nice dynamic, you know, I'd played on routine slick showcasing. And whatnot. So it's not like I'd only played without long baseball club, but the those guys talk is for accord group and we had each other's backs when you were other guys didn't perform as well when you were. We had to step up a little bit depict the other guy up and so a twelve guys, we, we really bonded over the courses, almost ten years. Yeah, that's phase. I mean, you don't often nowadays, especially they'll travel teams and you know kids starting, you know, playing baseball with, you know, three different someone at age eight. So the fact that you were playing only know high school Bubba with Saint group. So long as crazy when you go from, you know your small town to that to the Yankees? Probably the biggest name in all baseball. They take the eleventh round which is a very high, especially for reliever. And you know what was that process scouts on t. beforehand, they fly out a leg to go with doing a bus trips today in all, then you family like, you know, what was that like and how did it make you feel as a player? You know, you've got all this attention and you had these guys coming in and said, hey, we want to take you to comply the nature lease one day. It started..

"On a priori deal is making half a million dollars more years of that to you. Best power I've ever seen like grade eighty power. He's like Jim Thome in the batter's box. He just hasn't clicked yet, but I would give him all of next year to see if he can learn the hit a lefties slider, lucky fastball, or if he can learn to walk. And his minor league numbers say that he can't. He watch it like a twelve percent clip all through the Myers than this year through a full season in the majors. It was like five, it was. It was like half of what he his offensive profile through the minors was so, but he he's like in that same Davidson's not because he is, but like the fan base fell in love them because he's just goofy dude. Like he's gives great interviews. He's always messing around with the fans like before the game in everything out, give him the entire next year and say, hey, like this is this is your maker break. You're, you're gonna. You're gonna be twenty six, twenty seven like it's do or die. He hit almost thirty home runs this year yet is under thirty. Yeah. In I wanna say like twenty eight bombs in was pretty limited at bats. He only seen right handed pitching for most part. So yeah, you only played one hundred. He only starting in one hundred games. Yeah, if I mean that's he's got legit. Forty home run potential like no problem. Oh, no problem at all is just it's just the, the average is getting on base, really. I mean, he's PS was close to eight hundred already. What if she, if you if he can get, you know if he can hit two fifty with three thirty on base and just do what he did this past season with the power numbers than that's something you know. That's nice. Toyota has at the modern day launch angle guy through and through to just hit home runs as d. h. position which is watch angle thing as much as you sa- brute strengthen. He's built like, yeah, just just like like an Evan gattis type. He's he's okay. He's an exit below guy. Okay. Look up all the like top exit last season. Baseball. It's Aaron, judge Jean Carlos Stanton, and then Dana, polka and ninety. Nine percent of baseball players will have no idea who gang pockets. This sounds like my baby Jay from couple from the beginning of this year when he was smoking balls is right to people, and he just hits the shell of all White Sox fan. Red Sox fans, maybe White Sox fans to Red Sox fans. I like the guy sucks. Like all you can do is play defense. It's like this guy smokes the ball. He just a lot of bad luck last week. Once the season, he had a better clue. He was slashing better than Giancarlo and modern day whatever. You know, pink fans are just like, you know, whatever. Look at this guy. He. A lot. Yeah, exactly. It's so frustrating Pollock seems like that guy for you. So I hope turns out, I mean, I didn't know about him being, I don't know about you all said, I didn't know he was kind of like a, you know, players player, you know, fans guy. That's cool. I like that especially off. Yeah, he like he sends autographs. People send him like fan, Melanie, make sure send everybody autographs back in. When I was out in Arizona this year it was. It was an overcast day randomly enough in that doesn't happen in Arizona. It's always not a communist. The White Sox there. They share a stadium with the dodgers in Arizona, and it was the reds versus the White Sox in Daniel Pollock is up. He had a random like you know how in spring training when a guy comes up to bat, he doesn't have his name on the jersey as like a random offensive lineman..

"Came back from that tore a muscle in his quad, and then once we got back from that hit one of his teammates wives hitters day ruck first day in the parking lot. Yeah, I am department teammates, wife, hit him with a truck. And then he had to get his gall bladder out once he recovered from that, the dude is just, yeah, he, he was. He recovered from that getting hit, you know, in the bag and then he's driving home. Cross country doesn't feel good. He's twenty one years old time, young kid and his stomach, certain stomach codes, urgent care, gallbladders failing gallbladder removed. So surgery, Goldline all all in a span of a year or two, we we're thinking of putting the interviews bond. Yeah, we're thinking putting the interview on the bottom of after this just to kind of link it together so we can just win the hearts of White Sox nation over. Yeah. I mean, the White Sox guys law love this. 'cause White Sox fans turned into prospect nuts talking about, we're talking about the die hard. The smaller market teams nine, the small market teams to the teams that aren't good right now. You know, some of them have a plan. I don't. The Kansas City really has that Grado plan personally with Mayfield this year. I don't know why didn't. I don't know why didn't either. I don't think the reds have a good plan, their their dumpster five. Heels are going to be bad for the oil is going to be bad. San Francisco is going to be bad because they're just they're just hold on the twenty thirteen all star team every every year. Now. Teams like the White Sox teams like the San Diego's? Yup, they're, they're the teams that are, you know, so exciting to watch because of the future in the prospects of the great phrase and awesome guy. Great guy. That's too, and he's going to be up Clinton for sure. He's a big due to every player. Got your news. Good. Yeah, he struck out so I hurt and JJ and his first first appearance, he's, he's legit. His fastball. I'm horrible names who is the closer they did Orioles destroyed them to the eighties, Britain, Britain when he was good like his fastball, it was like trying to hit a bowling ball, just a heavy, heavy, heavy sinking Latin fast has. That's who came affair reminds me of the White Sox have another kid, jas, Friday drafted him in the third or fourth round all like three years ago, he's a two-time time. John survivor. I wanna say out of Oregon's dad, Oregon state, and he if you wanna look up his numbers, his era was a little inflated, but his strikeout numbers were absurd. His sliders like a fan grabs the other day. They said it was one of the most unhittable pitches in baseball this year, and he'll be just unhittable. Against Latinos hitting than they had. They did the same thing. They traded international money for Ryan Burr, Arizona state guy. He was like a fifth round draft pick as a reliever. He's flown up. He he got touched around a little bit when he got called up this year, but ninety seven ninety nine awesome. Curved while good change of good command really big Burling kid. Someone who should be able to handle a full seasons workload regularly than they have in Hamilton, a Washington state kid. They drafted him in the tenth round and they were like shocked that he fell to them. He flew through the system. He is electric in every sense of the word than they traded more international money that they literally couldn't spend on to the raise for hunter, Shriver another just a pitcher who supposed to fly through the system. So what they did with all of those players is kind of allow. The flexibility hopefully to not have to drop. You know a ton of prospect capital or financial capital on, say, a player like Andrew Miller in the future when they are competing. Because all already have those guys Inc to six, seven hundred thousand dollar deals in the year that plane. So n it's allow them financial flexibility to say, hey, we have all of these guys who were pitching for pennies on the dollar that and we can go and sign Manny Machado or whoever, whatever ex player they want, they can maybe overpay because these guys are making such little money. Yeah, absolutely. And it's, it's, that's the philosophy at this point. I would say from outside perspective, just throw baseball, nerd myself..

"That's chopped up into two three year deals. So three years, like fifty million dollars, I would. I would be all over that for the White Sox. And that's a huge increase. He's made four million dollars in like last two years. He signed a one year, two million dollar. Yeah, show me you'll. This year is deal for sure. Yeah, Provea deal for sure. And obviously he proved it. He's proved it in the postseason. He proved regular season might as one hiccup against the Orioles on a shitty night, didn't even matter whatever. You know besides that, where gave up a million runs in to watch the Astro sign on and tournament do si-joong with like a million spin ridden Ray, oh yes. It's been rate, spin Ray God's down there. And he's, I mean, I'm hoping the Red Sox bring him back for whatever it may be a year. In a two or three or deal. He would fit perfectly not rotation, especially with Porcelli leaving, and we're not going to resign Portillo, especially at that that contract, but so he would fit in there. That's a very specific guy. You're talking about Kyko stay away from core Brin. I think we're kind of, I think everybody in the world thinks he's going to New York. I think he's going to New York. The Yankees obviously like that. So if you miss out on a volley and you miss out on Cobra, you're going to bring guys back like shields or someone like Phil, what about what's is Rinaldo Lopez ever going to be White Sox fans want him to be. Yeah. Okay. Look up. If you look up his splits, he was having trouble trying to. Put put hitters away this year. I want to stay in the first half years. Strikeout per nine was like six, which is for someone who'd he throws legit, he'll he'll hit a hundred. So like we're, how does it correlate? Why does he not strike people out? You didn't have good off secondary stuff. The second half of the season. He developed a really good change in a really good cutter that was generating swings and misses. I wanna say is his strikeout per nine spiked like eight point eight per night. And he he has balls. The size of my forehead are literally polar opposites per personality wise like Lopez seized Mike trout at the better spots. He wants to strike him out..

"I almost want to like the raise what they do, what the GOP I can't stand their egos and personalities down there. The cardinals fans are the biggest dish bags ever. Oh, absolutely. I wish I, I wish I could like them as they're the cubs biggest rival by far Onoda. Brewers are great this year and everything, but. The cardinals are, are the natural rivals for the cubs. So I wish I could like him, but I guess all the whispers in Chicago, at least Tommy fan wore out his welcome there. Other GM's knew that, so they weren't going to give the cardinals anything for him. So that's crazy. Thank about. But the reason I brought up the razor note that the big game, James, James shields, you know. One more year left. He's under a club option first question, do you bring him back? I. While they're absolutely turning, they're not picking up that option. Yeah, they're not gonna. Pick up the options not worth sixteen, no. Bring him back as adept guy yet. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised after the kopech injury if they do that. But at the same time, I think they're gonna look to fill that with someone that could potentially be a flip piece. I mean, if they bring back for two million dollars to come and throw hundred innings, whatever. 'cause I don't think they're going to be a playoff team next year they might they're going to, they're going to be a lot better next year than they were this year. You've heard the weakest division in baseball, so anything can happen? Well, that is very true. I, I would love them to go forward this offseason. 'cause Indians are on the downswing bending the Royal stink. You'll tiger stink. Oil. The twin stink. Hit the twins, had one good year. I mean, they really do stink. So James shields, you bring back obviously before the kopech injury. Another guy that was in the Chris sale treadmill the guy that Red Sox fans know very well. You're starting three next year was mostly getting a look. Something like g. Toledo road don't and kopech no specific order. But those are going to be your three guys. Most likely we got ruined down. We got you. Lido you know, shields, maybe maybe he's like a number five guy who fills out the rest of that rotation starting day, who's who's your one through five wall? I would love to see the guy who started for the Red Sox. The White Sox next season. He's a free agent. I think he would be perfect fit for that team next year. Are you? You're listening to all the? Yeah, volley. I love the White Sox. Go after him next this off season I have. No, it ended price because you can have the price. We'll keep you can have their price. I don't wanna pay two hundred seventeen the remainder of two hundred seventeen million dollar deal for over thirty pitcher. We don't even. Yeah. Yeah, no one does. I mean of all the perfect guy there for you? Yeah, I do. I'm be really surprised if the white socks don't make conservative, offer a effort to sign vats. Very specific pitcher Nathanael volley on. He would be he would fit perfectly in that rotation. I don't. I mean, a lot of people are saying douse Kyko because he's a, he's a free agent this year too. I don't. I don't. I don't wanna dusk. I go. I don't. I would not want anything to do with Dow's. Lake was on the back end at thirty. He's shown he's worn. He's not what it used to be. Now. I don't know if that's hot. Take to say that. But I like tonight with the Red Sox came up like attacks. My buddy said, we can get the Dallas easy, and I'm just not afraid Dallas guy claimed Moore, he's not. We was three years ago. No, not at all. Use Shortlands ace and someone's going gonna pay him for what he used to be. Yup, not white. Yeah, that's that's. That is absolutely baseball. But Ugalde I, I mean. Three year. I mean, I would. I haven't looked at what similar pitching profiles has signed for over the last few years, but this is a complete guess. I would guess he signs for something like three years. How old is he? You've already. He's not old. He's under thirty. He's like, I want to say twenty seven twenty eight off top of my head. I don't. I think days of giving David price deals are done yet wouldn't be surprised if like six, he's when they six years left in his in his career as a pitcher who throws a hundred f..

"That's why they've, you know, obviously they're under such different budget restrictions as compared to the rest of baseball that like they're gonna have the really bad years, but every few years we're gonna put it all together and they're gonna be awesome. Obviously they want one in done in a in a wildcard game this year. But I mean they're the best team in the second half this year them in the raise, which is yeah, them in the days in the race. Yeah, no team stance. Very similar to that. So yeah, that's like that's what I'm looking at like these these guys that can come in perform similarly for much cheaper so you can't afford to drop, you know, three hundred fifty million dollars on Machado type player. So let's let's get the exciting part. This outfield has prospects for days. What is the even the top two could be all-stars within the next five years. Between Robert Illinois. He was just be next year. Yeah, he very well could be. He's gonna walk into major league baseball. Just mash baseball's to the moon. So who's the opening day outfield the Chicago White Sox. Do you think it's e won't be in it for money in contractual in control reasons? Basically, like Vladi at this point, find no fault of the White Sox? Yeah, just like Vlad fled. Junior, I know I know players getting pissed edit that is nothing they can get pissed at because that is collectively bargained and they can look at Tony Clark to get pissed at the guy that represents them. But but yeah, I mean, opening day, I dunno Ingle Cordell probably who's actually a very good athlete in his own. Right. I actually really liked me. She's a little older for a prospect, and then I don't know whoever else I couldn't even tell you who who else? There's so many people. I mean, you have. A ton on their contracts on top of, obviously you know the guard to Garcia's which is always great. Hope Garcia's long, abseil Garcia. I hope he's gone. Oh, so you do hope he's gone. Yeah. He I mean twenty seven years old come last Rb or so. It's kinda like a Castello bread. You either sign 'em long-term and he'd bees that grandpa the team. He's not that I, I think they're going to end up doing is they do tender deal. All I doubt it goes arbitraging because he was hurt this Ernie as the leverage the I played all of this year to thirty six. You how many games have even play this?.

"It seems like you guys dry. If you guys draft guys, throw gas and outfielders. That's what it really looks like, which is good. Obviously, I mean, those are the position need UNIFIL pitching. There's a lotta pictures out there and three outfielders compared to you know, one middle infielder here and there. Yeah. I mean, like I've looked at up of a few different times as different transactions have been made it around the league. It pains me pains me pains me to say this, but the keys are in unbelievable financial position of after this year. Oh yeah. They are a Rod's. They're no longer paying era after this year. So that contracts, you know, off the books they're they're walking into next year with like an eighty. Five million dollar payroll White Sox is going to be like thirty five. So obviously, but teams like the cubs are in their extremely tight with money right now. I mean, assuming that they don't wanna pay in insane, luxury tax. Moving forward on same at the dodgers. The Red Sox are up there, but the Yankees at mandate, they will Jit could say, here's four hundred million dollars Machado and then give. I mean they can. They, there's no. Way they could get both Harper and Machado without pain. It'd be like a hundred and twenty million a year after the third year, the luxury tax so but they could legit. Corbin are getting Corbin have already sold off on. Yes, they're gonna get corporate Machado because they're going to move on from CC. I think they move on from Didi. He's not worth twenty million. He's gonna want twenty million as USA and now they had Tommy John damaged goods. And I think Yankee Stadium makes him Manny is the perfect Yankee through and through Corbin fits right behind savvy. It just makes all the sense in the world. Yeah, they and they legit do it. So that's got. And I know Hans been working on a sales pitch for Machado. It's gonna. It's gonna end up going down to the highest bidder and the White Sox will probably get priced out of I mean, 'cause is any player on earth worth that much money? I don't know. Hope really. Probably not like do you give out of thirty million market values? Twenty six ESE I don't know. I mean, they're going to have. To overpay for him for sure, because at in such like who wants to come to a team that you don't know exactly if they're going to be good or bad. I mean, hypothetically, they should be, but in, you know, in a year or two by, that's not a given at the same time. So Hans got himself in extremely difficult winner ahead of them on that front. But the at third base, as far as prospects go is definitely the the the weak link added sits right now because because of the burger injury that said they still got third picking next year's draft who knows who they're gonna take. There's going to be so much movement. I mean, it's nine in work looking at, you know, mock drafts right now, there's going to be guys that you've never heard of that. Go top ten. So yeah, of course. But, but yeah, third, third base is the, it's the week, Lincoln Yohmor Sanchez, not not in the least bit. That's to say yes. 'cause he's an unbelievable. He's a great fielding defensive player, and he's got a good contract, which is just he's on there is operatives controls all that. Yeah. I mean, he's going into RBIs hero probably get five million or whatever it is. Yeah, double salary from two point three. Yes. Something like that. The contracts after the battle for really thinking about it, oh, it's all the battle. At this point in this day and age, it's the contract. You gotta get the sweetheart deal. You gotta get guys young and and mix them in like Gary Sanchez like an Aaron judge that are your this great deal on a team already flourishing. Yeah, it's like like fans and I, I try to like, like you said, so over the last few years I've been I, I've been forced to really narrow or zero win on the Mike white socks in not just White Sox like all of baseball's minor league systems, and it goes back to you, don't you don't buy players you by wins, and you want to get the most efficient use out of your money. Possible. And that's why the as have been so good this year..

"They're already moving him to shortstop from what I've what I've heard, not because of anything Anderson's done, but obviously his best value will be at shortstop if he can provide those numbers. So fraternities by right their dream, Lee polish player. Carl said that he wouldn't be surprised if he's up in may next year. I don't think that is going to happen probably more like two thousand twenty, but he'll flat shoes system. Am I got big when he said, may I was like, holy crap. I if the socks were like dead set on competing right now, but they're not. So they're gonna take the time with them and not burn service time in all that, but he hoped fly through the system. Could you heard you? They. I don't. I don't know if his arm strong enough boy, a apparently showing off to play short. So maybe it is. I mean, at the corners you want, somebody can drop bombs, he's never going to drop jazz. True. I mean his buildings raving what is got sixty fielding great. I mean, that's yeah, he really good. Obviously, he's athletic builder. Yeah. I mean, he's looking like another Turner for you, which I mean, imagine that'd be that'd be. I'd be thrilled with that. That's what I'm saying. If you've got a guy like that, that would be unbelievable. So we know second base right now and the future is Moncada we know the future for shortstop, most likely, Nick third base. Currently, you're running with Sanchez. I believe it is note what I mean by default default. Yes, but he's not your future. No. Is your future third baseman if you had, if you've got to call your buddy, you know the wonderful GM out there in Chicago. Who would you pick up the phone sites? All this. Jake burger out of Missouri state of another. So Jake burger literally d exact opposite build of Nick magical. He's like six to three hundred. Yeah, he he's, he's chunky chunkys little back about sexual kinda yet. He's there's this kind of like Schwarzer, but he's the actually he's he's a good athlete, but he towards achilles twice this year. Yeah, back back, same achilles. I don't know how that happens. I talked to him semi regularly, but I'm not going to be like, hey, how the fuck you do that? You know, yeah, yeah. Can you stop doing that place? Exactly. I'm not gonna say anything like that, but they drafted him eleventh. Overall, I wanna say out of Missouri state and another similar profile doesn't strike out at all. Obviously, he has power, Nick Hostetler said that they drafted him because they thought he was the best power bat in the entire draft class that your so obviously him tearing his achilles. He's it kills a year of development, probably two years of development in for being honest, and you don't know how a player's gonna rebound from that. I mean, I know baseball's not like football or basketball. It's not like necessarily in explosives, not all exposing exactly, but the he was the guy that they were hoping would eventually take over third base or if not be trade, bait down the road now, white socks, they, they have no money on the books for the coming years. I mean, if they especially if they trade Abrego so White Sox fans are like dead set on just handing may Machado blunt check saying what a number down. Here's what Machado one thousand percent putting on the books. I know hard, not having listened to your podcast in a little bit to be honest by read all your stuff. And I, you know, I think Machado or Harper is the fit there in Machado makes more sense than Harper because of your outfield prospects that you have..

"And the big thing about those deals that you know, you idiot, White Sox fans, and we've idiot Red Sox fans to that is the least. Yeah, exactly. And the big thing for me is the last two years when he's thirty and thirty one their club options, they don't have to pay him. You don't have to pay for you to just like what sale in Quintana, and that's huge because if he blows you get him out of there for nothing. But if he's there, you can turn it into Moncada and kopech like they would sail. You know, they got a good return for Quintana as well, which you know that that deals looking great for them could Tana struggled in the with the White Sox with the cubs. So y'all worked out really well and think about it. If. Those players can Tana and a sail weren't into those deals. They wouldn't have returned what they did. A big reason they had so much trade value is because they are on the cheapest deals of all time for what they providers pitchers because the contract provides value by itself. Exactly, exactly. So let's talk about a guy is just blown through the system. Probably gonna start and I would think Birmingham, if maybe even higher Nick module Gosden absolutely incredible since he got drafted, like what? What's your thoughts on him? How long is it gonna take and when you need up. So I don't know if you guys listen to my podcast at all. I would understand if you didn't sense it's very various Chicago Centric. But when he got drafted a text, Carling stocks took a magical and he was like beyond thrilled because he's like, I've seen this kid play a hundred different times like on TV and whatnot. That kid is just a baseball player. In every since he's five, seven bucks seventy or something like that. And then I mean that program hide sewage, probably even a little smaller. He's out to a big, probably five strikeouts in two hundred at bats or whatever. It was just puts nothing puts a bat on the ball, no matter who's pitching and apparently plays gold glove, defense and see. They'll obviously his thing is, is, is the power gonna come? I have watched him swing. A bunch of times his swing is not conducive to hit the ball over the fence, but if he can just make a little little adjustment, just a slight uppercut in his swing where he's getting lift under the ball in these. 'cause you don't need to be tall or big to hit a home run. You need to know how to swing the ball through or swing the bat through zone. Nate contact. If he just can make a little tweak or to hit twelve or fifteen bombs year, if that and then swipe forty basis. That's a I mean with the gold glove defense, he's apparently able to provide like they're gonna..

"And I'm guaranteeing multiple all star appearances. Form a big contract on the road form. He is one thousand percent, the White Sox, second baseman of the future. And he's gonna be just a stud in every single way. Yeah. I mean he's going to I think he's going to be good. I don't know if he's gonna hit thirty. Five home runs a bat, three hundred dollars once. I think a very consistent slash line year to year firm will be like a weighty. He'll get on base it like three seventy clip and held pill hit. Thirty home runs a few different times and then he can ask, they told they stopped. Once the second half came, they told him to stop stealing basics. They don't want like break away. You're so, I mean, stealing basis isn't easy. It's not just like you can't just be fast in run. Our form that's things like anything else is, and but they did tell them like, hey, we don't. We don't need you stealing right now. Like we can. We'll get to that point one. We're trying to win baseball games, you know? So. But I mean a twenty twenty with two eighty and getting on base at a crazy clip for a second baseman. What more can you want? You know much. I mean, he's similar to for Red Sox fans. I mean, Deborah catches a lot of flack here and there for his defense. But Adrian BELTRAN was a disaster. His first couple of years at third base, and he was an absolute vacuum later on each that, but yeah, absolutely, absolutely. And also knows all about that living down Texas. I mean, he grew up watching that guy, so young guys that you could teach them writer throughout your defensively as well. Yep. So I, I love McCotter that there's nothing on plant earth that would make me want to do that trade over man. And you got you have three guys that are gonna wind up helping this organization. I mean, if Diaz could ever figured out, maybe even four, but I don't think that's happening at this point. I know he. Ironically enough. He was down in Arizona last week in instructs, like throwing his first baseball of the entire year. And it was like three pitches in. They pulled them for injury, so crazy. He was a wild card from the get-go. But I mean if he would turn into like a seventh or eighth inning guy. Awesome. But you know, whatever, we're gonna we're gonna jump to shortstop just because this is a guy that really intrigues me in this contract that. Thomas, I loved him Henderson for some reason. I don't know why, because he strikes out a crapton but Tim Anderson love. So what what's your thoughts on Tim Anderson? He's got a really good contract if he even becomes remotely anything because he's locked down for years to come. Right? Yeah. Like the dome White Sox fans are really pissed off today, contract coach, zoos, given to him before he had really proven himself. But all of that white, all that contract did was it was beneficial. I mean, they did it with sale. They did it with Nate Jones who it hasn't really worked out for because he's been hurt. They did it with Jose cantata. It's a perfect deal that a lot of teams are going to start to emulate the cubs, even did it with Anthony Rizzo. It's basically just buys out your Arbor's instead of, you know, you're so it guarantees you make eight million ten million, whatever it is he's making per year instead of five hundred thousand, and it gives. The White Sox two extra years on the end of when you would be free agent eligible. So it's a win win for everybody. It's like even if he fizzles out, it's like a what? Eight year twenty five million dollar dealer sometimes around that range is twenty. Five is the fact that it's always going to be below what a market value shortstop is when you in the exact. I don't know why more people don't do white socks did with Chris sale too. They made him a rich man and they he was under the best kind. He still is under the best contract in all of baseball. It's it's, he's greeted that. Yeah, you might have the best GM for signings that you have to because Alantic years? Yes, Harvey long, I went to Michigan and northwestern for his other degrees, whatever they were in. So he's smart guy in that sense. Yeah..

"Farm system, we're going to be doing one of these for all thirty teams. There's also a Chicago White Sox player interview at the end Caleb ver. He's reliever. We hope you enjoy the White Sox are in a little bit of a different situation than your neighbors up north, the cubs cubs win now mode. The White Sox are in rebuild and retool mode. You have specifically five catchers on the contract right now, from what I see, you have Castillo who the veteran making money until twenty twenty on a club option. Then you got a bunch of the guys. You got Navarra as you kansallis Garneau and Smith. What do you think of those guys. Hey, guys, any of those guys to be in the future? Detri- move Castillo out for another prospect, either the summer at the deadline next year. What do you think the plan should be with the White Sox? The okay. So with the Whiteside. All right. So automatically take garnell out. He's I mean, he might be gone already to be honest. But I mean, he's not come back. You just organizational dept if you really need someone to come catch a game or give you a few innings behind the plate. I mean, he's thirty plus years, older ready. I want to say, but he's he's got zero part of future. So not even worth talking about Wellington Casio. So recon I don't like I have this whole running joke on Twitter, everything where I'm friends with three kind. I'm friendly with recon it's not like I'm sitting there texting the White Sox general manager like, oh, what about this? What about that? You know course he had mentioned a few times that over. So last off season this this coming off season and probably next offseason. Is or two off seasons from now as well that they're gonna start making these bridge signings with not exactly old like outdated veterans, but you know, guys that are still productive major league players like a welling tickets. I mean, if you're a war guy, I wanna say Wellington Cousteau's war with the Orioles, two seasons ago. Now for the White Sox, at least so twenty seventeen season was like he was almost three win catcher hit like two seventy with like almost twenty bombs, and he's a good catcher. But this year you got popped for steroids. It was a two year deal with third year team option. After this. I mean, I would have said that he would have been the guy to like be the the, the brick, the brick wall behind home plate for the next couple of years because he is a really good receiving catcher. He can control a running game. He knows how to call a game, and he's been around the league for five, six, seven, eight.

So they'll tell you, I good. I was sitting the ball. We're speaking with hawk Harrelson about his varied and fascinating career in sports over the course of the last sixty years. Really his new book is hawk. I did it my way. You're one of those guys who's known everybody who's been around everybody who's been in to every party to every bar has a personal story with every major figure centrally in the world of sports over the last five decades who is the guy or who are the guys who the most. Fun to be around. So many of 'em Arnold course less that aren't went out, but it has for over forty years when the golf course, and he was, I miss that guy. You know he, he was John Wayne and they hills great still great, but it's not the same without and then there will be, but you know, you talk about, I have been blessed Jerry, you know, it's just like like Lou Garrick said, you know his farewell address. He said, you know, today I consider myself to be luckiest man on the face of the earth. Well, that's the way I feel and I've been so forth. I had a wonderful mother. She was married and divorced. She was married to a guy who she divorced when I was young guy and she raised me and she probably some big values and one of the value she told me she don't ever lie and don't ever be afraid to fail. And those are two big things that you know, and she still owes me and she also told me he came up on. Wrong side of the tracks, so to speak and Savannah, Georgia, and and if you did that you were going to have to fight. And she told me, I came home one day. I had a bloody nose, and she said, let me tell you some. So she says, if somebody hits you want him back harder if they if you want to hit them quite. And that's the way I grew up. That's the only thing I knew and to carried it over my life, you know? And there have been chore, the guy who have other mothers as much as idea. Dog actually, nobody knows someone ever other mother more ideas. You've had a charmed life. You've led a charmed life. He's gone to do the things you've wanted to do short of winning a major in golf, the broadcasting aspect of it which you've been doing now for so long. What kind of pleasure do you derive satisfaction? Do you drive from from being a broadcaster? I love I love baseball. And baseball has been really interesting may and all of white socks. This would be my thirty third year with the White Sox broadcasting my in my last year about casting, and I'll tell you what your I have such a again. I've been blessed because of the fact I have seen the game entirely different. You know, you've been around baseball long time and and you know the game and you know what's different game today than it was, you know, twenty thirty forty fifty years ago and you know, come, I'm gonna be with my socks for a long time after just retirement year, but come January first twenty twenty. That'll put me in a in a very elite club and that club being they can only find four guys. I'm sure there's more, but you're right or.
