"Now, you gotta admit Chris that is a special talent vividly hit that every Friday, Frank. I listen to you saying you're pretty good. Eat your heart out, Justin Timberlake. You bet. Got nothing on me. Well, maybe you're too. But you know, I looked better in blue than he does you for your time is right on. Yeah. Exactly. Let me get back to my culture and our listeners in Clawson. Patricia. Thank you for holding. You're next on the Frank Beckmann show. Patricia. Thought lost you. I just wanted to call and say how much I enjoyed your presentation on the polar bears in World War One because I class in which is close to the white chapel cemetery. And I've seen that I've seen that monument and because we have family Jerry there. But I never knew the story. And I I really enjoyed hearing this story. Well, you gotta read the book and hear about these incredible men and what they were going through. And it's to think about what they did way back then one hundred years ago to to go into the wilds of the tundra of near the Arctic, circle and Russia and to fight the battle they did. And then for some of our men to go back and claim those who lost their lives there to go back and bring their remains to Michigan and elsewhere. Is is just a remarkable story about our military and says so much having having seen that monument there. I had no idea what the story was it. I really enjoyed it. And appreciate it. Thank you so much. And now, it'll mean even more to you now that, you know. Oh, yes. Well, thank you. Thank you, Patricia. Appreciate it. We go to Michigan center and Bill you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Hello. Hey, how you doing good? Whereas Michigan center or by Jackson. Okay. You know, what I have seen the sign for that? Yup. But anyways, I keep this quick. Now, Trump what he needs to do is through the old Ross Perot thing. Bring out an easel and say see this big pizza pie here. This is the amount of money Brock Obama's fat Senate all of that cash over Nazi went thirty transport planes in this little lion represents the amount of money. I need for my wall. Second of all, you know, he needs to have monitors behind them after you've news conferences with the loop running of rock Obama saying how important the walls were and Bill Clinton. None. How important of all is word. How security how important security was on the order and do a continuous loop of that playing in the background. And they you know, just because the crime is down on the border. These idiots that are in the front of the news there. You need just come out and say, well, duh. Yeah. Because we are cracking down on it finally, and people know that become the United States, but but it's also going to give him a free hand. It's also a matter of simple math to let's say we've got we have somewhere between twelve and fifteen million illegals in the United States. Right. We have a population of three hundred million in the country. Of course, their rate of crime is going to be lower. There are fewer of them, but they don't belong here. We don't want criminals of any kind citizens are done. But. The number is going to be lower because there are not as many of them not all of the illegals are are carrying out criminal acts within the country coming here is illegal. That's a criminal act. Okay. I get that. But I mean, we're talking about robbery assaults even murder when you get into that. They're not gonna commit as many as the typical American population. Because they don't have as many know now that it's a he just needs to come up there and say, you know, what there's so much gray area was created and that nobody can do anything anymore in the government because we're going to affect us group. We're going to do this. We're gonna hurt that person. And what about the people back remember peck in the eighties? When when the money was being spent on other countries and all the waste wasteful spending. On other countries, we got problems right here in the United States. We need help. Why are you doing send them all this money? What happened to those people? You know, that that we need to handle white give these other countries a handout, you know, it's just gotten Philly. Bottom line is Democrats want votes. They need vote that you're gonna give out absentee ballots in they're going to own the state or the house the Senate and the president for the next fifty years if we allowed to happen because they learn that when they lose an election. Unlike Republicans, they say to themselves we're never going to let this happen again. You know, we're gonna we're gonna do cheat. Doc ballots, whatever it takes to win election illegal votes, because you know, that's going to happen. Next time. These absentee ballots are going to be given to legal if just fill out the thing. Let us know where you live. So we can fill out the ballots for you. And then they're never gonna lose another election. Don't ask me to prove this in court. But I I've got a hunch there already have been ballots cast by people who don't have citizenship here. Thank you for the call. I gotta run I want to get one more in Paul is on the freeway somewhere around here. He could be anywhere in thirty five states. Let's get him on the Frank Beckmann show, a thirty five states. I hope I'm ninety four here. Thank you for taking my call. Are you are you on ninety four in Michigan? Yes. I am. All right. Listen, he and three weeks budget to congress. I whatever he's short. Why can't you just put it in there and do the legal way? Surely, he's going to get his money. And surely, we need to secure our borders. But if you can't get one way why does he have to clear national emergency? Let's do it the right way. And let's let them vote on it and get it done. Well, that'd be fine. If congress would would approve a budget, but we we haven't had a real budget in our country for heck twelve years ten years something like that. Then a long time. I understand that. But somewhere another arrogance declaring a national emergency. Yeah. I'd like to see it. I wanna see it done the right way. And see if we can't get it done. Invent the wall, and and get it done the right way. That's all I have to say, no, I get what you're saying. And I respect that that you don't like this this move. But on the other hand when you can't get any cooperation, you'd think it's important you're gonna find a way to get it done. And so you know, that's what he's doing. And is he is he potentially setting a dangerous precedent? Yes. He is. Because the same. Yeah. That's what I'm worried about you, Frank. All right. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it. When's.

"You're hearing the Frank Beckmann show. News talk, seven sixty. Richard that border security Bill where the Dem's have ordered the offered the president much less than he asked for to continue construction of some sort of barrier between the US and Mexico. That Bill will will come up for a vote. I am I right in in reading this one thousand pages long. It's long. Yes. Hundreds of pages. Yeah. That's just amazing. So that's why the president said why here are day or two ago. We're going to have to read this thing. And see what's really in it. What a novel idea. So he's going over it. And he's getting a lot of advice people on the left or are predicting that that he's going to sign it because it's been approved by the loud voices of right wing media. Because Rush Limbaugh Ann Coulter say it's okay. I didn't think I spoke that loudly. But if if that's where they they want to go, that's fine. But we'll see what the what the president. Does. He sees checking it out first and wants to read all the details. And there are suggestions for how he can get other funds for building the wall such as declaring a national emergency. And and then drawing on funds from other spaces to pay for that that seems like might be his best option. We shall see. We shall see. Now coming up on the show a little later on after the bottom of the hour. We're going to tell you about a great Michigan event for the second straight year up north coming up in a few minutes. But then after the bottom of the hour. You you're not gonna wanna miss this interview. By a man who's written a book? His name is James Carl Nelson and in two thousand seventeen he received the Marine Corps heritage foundation's Colonel Joseph Alexander award for biography. He's written three acclaimed histories of the American experience in World War One the story of USMC legend Clifton Cates. The bellawood victory in the great war. Five lieutenants heartbreaking story of five Harvard men who let America victory in World War One. And then the remains of company the story of the great war and. He has now written a book called the polar bear expedition. Now, you know who the polar bears were yes, they were. They were a unit that was based right here in Michigan. In fact, you will find a monument to them. Out at. What's a cemetery to come on Frank? What's the cemetery? The I seventy five at big beaver there. Boy chapel white chapel. Yeah. White chapel. I couldn't think of that my father-in-law's buried there for heaven's sake. But any rate they have a they have a memorial to the polar bears there, and the this group of warriors from World War One about which so little still is known. This story of the polar bears is is unbelievable. They fought when a lot of people thought the war was over these Michigan men, and we lost over one hundred of them in the northern reaches of Russia. That's where they were fighting up at archangel. I believe it was called in. And I'm not even gonna try to describe where that is. It's it's just below the Arctic circle safari, suffice it to say she you know, what the conditions were like and these polar bears that we lost were never returned. And so. A group of polar bears from here in Detroit. Went over and retrieved the remains of I think it was over fifty of our brave soldiers who had lost their lives in World War One brought them back and and they were buried at white chapel cemetery. And that's where this this great exhibit in memorial is built toward the polar bears, but their story based right here in Detroit is an incredible one. And James Carl Nelson has summed it up in this book called the polar bear expedition. And we're gonna have James Carl Nelson on. All right. Yeah. I can't wait to hear the ause gonna be just wait when whenever we do our show from up at the Michigan heroes museum in Frankenmuth at where you walk in the door, and they got a huge polar bear right in this glass display case. And it's it begins to tell the story. But James Carl Nelson is continuing that story, and it is just it's on Spiring. That's great. Bill Rabi Bill Rabi told me about them many years ago. It was my first information about the polar bears Bill the late PR man for various things around here up in northern Michigan was very knowledgeable and was friends with many of the polar bear families from northern Michigan. And I'm glad that somebody has some this up on a book. That's great. Yeah. It really is. And you know, again, it's one of the I didn't know about the the polar bears until I was up at at the museum in Frankenmuth the heroes museum and and found out about it. And Ronnie Cyrus told me more things Ronnie whose grandfather fought in World War One is part of the polar bear expedition. I think that was the connection and they rate we'll talk to James Carl Nelson coming up. Don't miss this. It's it's absolutely inspiring. You think the Vietnam war was the forgotten war World War? One was the forgotten war to and involve the entire world and the. The battles at these men fought in the frigid conditions are almost unbelievable. It was the war to end all wars tragically. Did not supposedly. Yes, thank you, Richard. And we'll be back in just a moment. James Carl Nelson will be joining us in. You'll hear the story of the polar bear every day. More than a million Michigan students get up in the morning and go to school community college or university teachers and professors Greek them in classrooms from enro- to Saint Joe Novak to Ironwood ready.
