"Gosh newsradio eight forty WHAS welcome back to handle on the lawn marginal legal advice hello Josie welcome the handle on the law all right post surgery and then I have to have another surgery to correct the first surgery and then hello I'm wondering about the statue of liberty limitations because my I told that was not involved in either surgery has become bent and distorted and more hammer told and uglier than it than it ever was it should be in touch and sorry when we first surgery happen July of twenty eighteen one but the second one was in March of twenty nineteen yeah you're okay you're within that year within the statute and yeah you are but you know who's gonna pick it up in reality there who's going to represent you every so what you have ugly toes okay I'll gladly toes I mean can you imagine the jury's going back and say all right we give Josie proudly toes and then half the jury takes off their shoes show the other half ugly toes and now what in addition to that my story is much wider than my right foot now I have to have custom made shoes a lot yeah well I mean that's something but again you know what so let's say they get you for about how much your your custom made shoes probably about four hundred dollars okay here you go how many are you going to buy over the next thirty years which arrive probably about four or five years but I usually do wow okay so yeah three thousand at ten thousand twelve thousand dollars worth of damage is there over the next thirty years I think you're gonna get a lawyer to go for it and the only thing you're gonna be able to do is go to small claims court and by the way small claims court will not hear a medical malpractice case is that right yeah what you what you think died the judge is going to sit there and decide a medical malpractice case they sort of want to be judge was actually a lawyer volunteers because they like wearing the robe and sitting up there on the bench which is a vanity plate for them now now they're not going to get involved with that so you got screwed no question about it but the damage is ugly toll and wider flight hi is the jury chose uglier than when I started tears about your ugly toes Josie ugly does mean nothing the only issue here are the cost of the shoes and by the way yes you question how come they have to be custom made as opposed to just get two pairs of shoes are the same kind wonder why no one not your email okay it's me right or no shoes okay fair enough all right so Josie have a malpractice case you can sue for eight or ten thousand dollars no lawyer's going to take it you're not going to go to small claims court and you're gonna sue hospital now what and what little it took it took a big practice okay which are you going to sue the practice Josie and here's the first thing they're going to do is they're going to kick it right in the Superior Court so now you're no longer in small claims court now you're talking to lawyers and you're talking to doctors who say there was no malpractice that's just one of the complications that happens in X. percent of people here's her consent form that she had signed it by the way probably have to go to arbitration and then you'll get to prove malpractice now do you know what it cost to bring in an expert that is going to testify on your behalf a doctor stored near your mouth yeah twenty five twenty five hundred dollars a day and you probably have to have also not only the testimony but also looking at the case and now now unfortunately there's I mean you're screwed it but there's not much you can do as far as I see it yes Sir let's start with you this segment hello Esther welcome to handle on the law I did build that morning and I am calling from Corpus Christi Texas and I'm calling in regards to my son he's also from corporate he had an accident about three months ago motor vehicle accident in which it was the other person's fault I had to come home as you get medical attention he had an MRI on his neck and on the need those with the injuries that he suffered he obtained a lawyer and he ended up having a herniated yeah and he shifted his knee which the doctors that it's probably going to cause problems in the future as well the lawyer said that he could only get twenty five thousand dollars from the other guy's insurance and the lawyers taking thirty five percent of battered thirty seven percent of that and also my son had accumulated to about ten thousand dollars in medical fees which she's gonna have to pay for settlement yeah thank you my question is can he go after this guy for more no no I'll tell you what's going to happen once your style your son not written by the lawyer signs off and accept the twenty five thousand dollars on it part of accepting money is written is relieving the other side from all liability done I'm finished no more lawsuit now you can say no and file a lawsuit against the guy in the insurance company will come in up to twenty five thousand dollars but there has to be a judgment against the other side driver so believe me it's twenty five grand that's all you're going to get now the issue is if this is not about how much work did the lawyer do not and here's the reason I ask because it could have just been a phone call his injuries he has injuries that are severe enough where the insurance come just write them a check thirty seven percent a little high hi that's for starters the other thing it's a lawyer's duty to negotiate with the medical people to right now I'm done any of that okay it's time to fire the lawyer then get another one okay that's trying to fire the lawyer and they'll be a negotiation he's gonna want this thirty seven percent the the current lawyer that you hire someone his percent but it's going to be a negotiation between the two lawyers and die it's it's one of those right they just think you got the wrong lawyer also does okay and also I don't think they have a date yet well they're going to well they're going to win he's gonna get a thirty seven percent I was so it was a bad agreement that was signed as for starters are too much money I mean I don't know what the what the lawyers go for Corpus Christi but certainly in southern California California and certainly the state Sino it's usually a third hi and that so there's five and a half percent also negotiating with the insurance with my medical providers to get reduced money that's the other thing the lawyer dies and on top of that your sign in he is he should have medical on his insurance yeah so with the lawyer has to deal with all of that and so it's just trying to get another way or have a good long conversation with your lawyer all right today you know how crazy it is out there today's digital world you're much more likely to have your identity stolen than your car stolen even or your home burglarized especially now where the amount of hacking and the identity theft that's going on is completely crazy someone's identity.

V.'s in with binoculars checking out the property and then of course as we now know the a ten programme was actually something else called Ostap that was initiated by the DIA Bob Bigelow I had a contract with them they were studying the property and I'm in a much broader spectrum of of issues and I wanted to know if you've had either outreach from government to to ask you what's going on there or at request for partnership or any indication that somebody is you're under surveillance out there by unknown parties good question I first and foremost and in response I I've had no interest in partnership with the government not because I I don't love my country I love being an American we live in the greatest country in the world and are very blessed and fortunate to be here and to to to to to be part of this incredible United States of America but I just did not want long a investigation ever to be compromised and and really have no interest in partnering or being involved or taking money from any government related enterprise that said in direct response your question yes I I have been approached in two weeks you know our team was summoned in the past to to Washington DC to give testimony and to report on what we have been observing on the property there appears to be a very real sincere interest on the part of a number of agencies and programs that that are at least monitoring what is happening relative to reports on the ranch and and you know the the they seem sincere and die in the spirit of collaboration again hi I didn't have any problem presenting the the evidence and the data that we had collected and I I felt like it was it was that it was a demonstration at least on my part of my team's part that we really do consider this a stewardship and work work sincerely focused on on the facts and and and really utilizing real scientific rigor the one thing that disappointed me was the lack of of exchange I mean it it it seems that you know everyone wants information everyone wants us to to impart that which we have learned and which is great and we're happy to share but we see very little exchange and that's a little disappointing that's probably been one of the the more disappointing aspects of my journey is that I've I felt like we were kind of a in a lot of weight on our own which is both you know exciting but it's you know it's it's surprising as well and that you know I would have expected a little bit more of a of a cooperative exchange but that's thanks let the chips fall I I don't really care I mean we're we're running up a privately funded and manned program an investigation and I think that has really helped us maintain the integrity of what we're doing and and also it is it allows us to do I think share what we're doing with the public I think one thing that that that Mr Bigelow was challenged with this and I think he and his his people were we're dealing with classified information and I'm sure there that there were young nondisclosure agreements in place and I respect that I completely respect that they need to honor those but we're a we're approaching this from a different angle the the premise of the Ostap study which is so bass was the contractor for the D. I. A. is that there are national security implications for what has been reported at the ranch I don't know exactly what that is maybe you know worm holes holes in the sky beings coming in and out from someplace else and intelligence operating there do you do you agree that there are national security implications were here I think I think you're right when you're when you're seeing objects and phenomena that said that yup seemingly violating our airspace that aren't showing up on on radar or you know you know or or really operating behaving the way that conventional crafted behave I think it's you know I think it it it should raise questions that I would think that there are there are implications I know and I I would think it would be of great interest I'm I'm glad that there has been I think a more serious effort to bring the truth to light I think the the New York times story and the other journalism the other reports that have now come forward and you know everything from your fighter pilots to others that have had the courage to go on record relative to what they've seen I think it it it really shows that we may be entering a new era of disclosure at least honesty and that's I think that's refreshing I I would think that anyone who does their due diligence and look into this this field of inquiry it has to look at it from an honest perspective and in has to admit that there is some real compelling evidence we've seen it at skinwalker ranch we'll take a couple of calls starting with west of the Rockies Howard in Vancouver I Howard you're on with Brandon fugal Georgian Brandon I have a question for you I know that animals seem to have a heightened awareness of things about paranormal nature and I'm wondering if you've noticed is this phenomenon has any effect on the wildlife in that area good question yes the answer is yes we have we've actually recorded on many many occasions animals responding to unforeseen forces that the although not picked up on camera surveillance leave other trace evidence if you will in in the email I don't know what to make of the whole cattle mutilation phenomena right the I. it's it's complex and it's it's disturbing but we've we've seen here what appears to be a continuation of of some of that out in the area and that I I don't know how to explain it and but it's it's definitely something that we've had to take into account so the answer is yes absolutely thanks for the call Howard you know it we know that the previous studies used animals dogs in particular sort of biosensors they would catch on to something that might be coming the way the investigators before before the human side I'm sure you probably did some of that as well yeah well we have you know our ranch dog you know that that accompanies our security on patrols William has really been a key part of our team and it's interesting to see him respond he you know the dog interestingly appears to in many cases anticipate just before something happens you can see the the dog reacting to something that ultimately ends up showing up whether it be on try field meters or whatever and so I I think having biosensors out there I think that's important and we've tried to maintain you know from traditional ranching activities and no introduced cattle for the property and in some other interesting animals that you'll see on the series animals don't that don't fall into any known category well animals usually you wouldn't see on a on a ranch like this you know the the we've heard these reports in the last couple of months that what goes on out there allegations that its testing of secret military equipment any indications that that's what's been going on yeah I haven't seen anything that would indicate that I I I haven't seen any evidence since acquiring the property that that is going on you know I I don't want to be dismissive of you know experiences people have had or concerns you know eight we try to show great respect especially to those who have served on the property prior to two hour program but we really haven't seen a dentist you know the team yeah most notably like meet doctor Taylor who's been very vocal about it but also you know Eric Barnard and Dr Sigala are still you know scratching their heads at some of these claims and reports because work we're seeing something that seems to defy explanation even that has an explanation east of the Rockies Josh in Indiana you're on with branded what's on your mind hi George thanks for taking my call I realize Brandon with my question that there's probably a certain level of I don't know hypothetical or abstract nature to the question but obviously this phenomenon has shown some level of intelligence in its invasion or voice of being documented but do you feel like it has any awareness or consciousness as to the potential for this greater information of this disclosure that could come about with the history channel series and if so what level of impact will that have it doesn't gain that awareness on future activity good question I I think there is evidence that that there really is an intelligence at work hi yeah I think it is both ignorance and arrogance for us to think that you know you know it he ate an entity or intelligence that can literally manipulate you know sophisticated surveillance systems you know manipulate the very consciousness of those who are on the property it they wouldn't be aware of what what is happening and even be able to potentially anticipate what is what is going on in the end and I think that's why we we try to approach the property and what we're doing with with the degree of humility and reverence I think we were truly dealing with an advanced intelligence again just by virtue of the just the data and the the ability for whatever is going on to to be able to the performance standing feats on this property so is it aware of the I guess he's asking is it aware of you is it is it watching you watching it yeah I I would assume so and we we have conducted our research into and really are our activities in a in a way that technologists thanks that they're all very well aware of what we're doing and we try to be respectful in a sense it's a form of communication yes indeed the international wine we go to rob in Canada hi rob what's on your mind are your the great show great curling up requesting a given the uniqueness of the pixel cation I would've thought in the comments of the problem with a belief whose place was answered and that the contract agreement have you done anything along those lines unique weather be like oh lord you know the firm normally you can go on yes that's a that's a very good question you know we we have seismic.

"WHAS welcome back to the U. K. health care John Calipari show you can call us tweet us post on Facebook or text it will give you all those numbers here just a bit but first we're going to visit with coach cal here in this first segment I'm just going to start with a question by wants to know did you ask did you get a shot at all for I get into that because I don't think anybody really cares about that how about this drakes that is why in a pretty good all day this place over about a month it's been open a month I mean and if it's like there are other places who will be great the service will be ridiculous the prices will be moderate you know yeah great they need to drop the price to some but what what just happened something happened but they they they know what they're doing I mean they just the you know they build it and what's that thing and if you build it they will come they will come here here this is it this place is packed so so they know what they're doing did you know what you were doing when you're gonna everybody tries to give me a way more credit than I deserve they always do but I did that on purpose no I did it so let me I have to explain and I did it a couple different times I did it to the team after I wanted the technical there were three or four five things that happened in a row that there comes a point where you say unacceptable I didn't like the way the game was going I had to put Ashton back in with four files with eleven minutes to go we had talked about zone and different things that we would be able to use which probably should have gone to earlier but the staff did a great job but when I got the technical both officials must've been looking at me for some reason I have no idea but they both called a technical their coach thought I was gone I thought it was gone so if I'm gone I'm not just gonna walk off the court you're going to get a little extra in before you walk off the court and that's what I did it when he said your other your regular what you gonna throw me out twice then they come back and say well if they both called for the same reasons it's only one technical I never heard of that to be I've done this you're not being thirty eight years I've never heard of that they call technical he called a tentacle that's two technicals I thought you were gone but what happened when I walked here here's the other thing I didn't know I've been married thirty three years I don't know yeah my wife I said what did you I come home and she's like it would he be you get thrown out and it's the worst feeling for me and I go or what you never told me that I'll get up thrown out more but I so what she says it's the absolute worst and and she said but what may be feel good was when Ashton put his arm around you and you could tell what he did was he just said coach we got this and what I want to tell you that it played out good the staff unbelievable Kenny Tony Jole John they kept everybody poised but the biggest thing you if you've ever how many of you have heard me talk before how many times do I talk about the team needs to be empowered it's got to be a player driven team it cannot be a coach driven team it can for a while but that was not by design but we became a player driven team at that moment they told me in time outs the guys were talking common each other down I've never seen my team talk as much on defense they talked they had guys arms flail in and and I'm watchin I'm like guys you this is now a player driven team and I I talked to Ashton and in a manual both playing so well I said it's your team now now if there are issues you ready you deal with them if you want to play forty minutes I'll go with that but now you're gonna have a couple guys not play much you've got to deal with that he talked to obviously they're not going to play forty but you guys now if there are things you want to do their ways what we're in a huddle you talk at halftime before we get it talk it's a big sign for us now I don't know going forward if there were exactly ready but you know what happened they were thrust into that kind of situation and they stepped up to get together and I said it the end of the game for eight minutes we basically played five guys five guys played and I told them I said Johnny in in again for everybody as Johnny why did I put you in in the first half he studies I was there we had filed trouble that's why you played but you know what happened you took advantage he made his first jump shot since November twenty eighth not really but he was ready for his moment Keyon you played the last eight minutes and played well why did you play Z. J. filed out now their choices the staff was Nate you or cheon when they win with key on and we started winning what Nate accepted it and didn't play much but he was so happy we won that means they're player driven they get it sell at aside from me being a static we want believe me I thought I was out of my mind but when I saw that side of it that crew did us a favor it did me a favor thank god they both called tentacles and I thought I was going to get I was already thrown because I would not have been thrown out of the game the game was too close I just was trying to get the thing let's get this in line here what's going on but it was a good win a great folks they had for five thousand students lined up outside the building when we pull that bus they had over a thousand in the morning when we came in at eight o'clock to do a shoot around lined up this was their game their moment they're doing it it's on I get thrown in my team comes together and they win that game incredible a great I had one guy say it's one of the top ten games for me because the how it unfolded and for me I'm telling you I also thanked Ashton in a manual I said I want to tell you what you two did because they lead to charges what you did for Kenny Payne and Tony Barbee.

"Eight forty WHAS welcome back to coast to coast George nori with you Dan Collins with us we'll get your calls this hour as well Dan dia as we're talking about hacking what's their goal what are they trying to get at well the the big friend this year's been ransomware and it's a profit motive that's not state sponsored that's just people in a lot of this is Russian base the Ukrainian based Bulgaria it's been an absolute absolute crisis issue two hundred twenty twos schools have been hit just since October of this year with rain somewhere wow we we had seventy two school districts this year hit with rain somewhere with it eighty two cities and municipalities hit with rain somewhere in twenty nineteen I think there's a big cases Atlanta Baltimore New Orleans just got hacked last week these companies city employees come in and every computer shut down every server shut down and they end up literally paying half a million dollars a million dollars in bit coin so what's changed it is the ranch where we do a lot of there's a lot of it's a recall of a virus call wreak it'll basically get administration privileges that copies all your files encrypts them and then delete your files so you have to pay them in big going to get back home god in companies pay them it all the time it's happening every day because that's the only way they can get their data back now at that hippogriff my company we have cloud based sandbox tools that will stop phishing attack lead all common social Yeary phishing attacks if they sent out the fifty P. employees in your company guarantee someone's and click on it yep the problem how you need is one right yep all you need is one and what's changed in last year's US thing about this the other day is really it is a bit coin and I'm a proponent of crypto currencies in big point but what happened is if you're sitting in Kiev in twenty twelve you could send mail where to accompany United States but how are you going to get paid you can go to the bank and cut the wire transfer you're gonna get arrested so that was crypto currencies these guys can send the mail where and send the bitcoin wallet address and then just check the address for the money that you sent it's not really traceable I mean it's traceable the queen is very traceable if you get the F. B. I. involved and you put a lot of resources on it but for cases of two three four hundred five thousand dollars in it the bad actor is overseas we're gonna get away with it and a half dollars it's happening all time is really a crisis mode we expect to see twenty twenty even worse and the kinds of tools out there now X. X. including former state developed ransomware products that that that are floating around so just gonna get worse why hasn't China rain did North Korea yet then well North Korea and China have a strange relationship so imagine your North Korea gather the they they hate Japan had a war which panic still upset about it it was war to it's kind of like a monster on the doorstep right I mean it's like an eight hundred pound gorilla they could they do they probably had China I used to go to at Tsinghua university when I went to school they are north Koreans China is educating these guys they probably have all kinds of agents and then if the Kim family ever fell they could probably kick country or next day so that they're actually kind of scary China but there are a hundred percent depending on China and I love to use careers as a as as a as a great analogy between capitalism and communism you have two countries roughly the same size roughly the same population they speak exactly the same language there North Korea South Korea Siemens necessity that there's no there's no X. factor in this equation but in the south green said you have the most advanced semiconductor fabrication plants in the world one of the highest standards of living the media entertainment loved all over Asia it's a thriving economy and then you go forty five minutes north and they don't have plumbing electricity in their starving half to death those of the communist so it's it's it's a very inching taxonomy between these two but so China it has been pushing North Korea I've actually been on the border North Korea the mayor of the city in China we went on a bowl in little you gonna jumped off on to the north shore and we saw north Korean there and they just looked like someone had taken sold it is yeah this call on the solus rest hi you did look healthy and it was a it was a very inexperienced but the very comfy relation between North Korea and in China and United States and Japan so what is keeping the Chinese military from queen and taking over I think at this point in as long as it can families there and they don't create too much trouble they'll tolerate them and they always keep North Korea is what you call it geopolitical blocking states of them walking state from South Korea and Japan and the west so they always be there if it's something happens they'll run it as a puppet state would be might would be my guess and what's keeping the military from taking over of their own country China.

"WHAS welcome back the countdown to kickoff to Gabriel with you at Kroger feel would allow cats will play for the first time in two weeks following the open week mark stoops says it's been a good week of practice he talked about it with our own Tom leach market was at a practices we can the energy level was so off the charts it was a very enthusiastic group that that I saw which to me seems like a really good sign yeah no doubt it was really good week I think couple things factored in the the guys finally get a day off last week you know coming off the by the they had the opportunity mail Friday Saturday to get a little rest and in get away from it for a minute heal up and then also we had a great beautiful week with weather so you know it wasn't ninety five degrees when they're out there so beautiful week but but the guys have always been good they've got a great attitude very spirited and really worked hard so hopefully this can carry over to the game tonight let's talk about the the Arkansas team that you face coming off I'll be at a loss but one of her better efforts of the season two weeks ago and I know you got to watch a good bit of that down the hotel itself Caroline yeah without a doubt you could tell watching it live them that they were team that was very very close coach more such a great job and and you could tell that they're getting very close I thought both quarterbacks really threw the ball exceptionally well in some really tight window she could see their very talented wide receiver group of merging and they really played a good game across the board had every opportunity to be a lamp the two quarterbacks had to go to their back up with the entry down in the a and M. gave it back to the start of this game what does the challenge change much depending on which one they would use now that really don't change the game plan they they do what they do there I'm sure they'll be some new role rankles being that they had two weeks to prepare for this game but they're both very good players we struggle coach why he said one of the things especially first and second down they'll give you a lot of different looks and they usually put something they haven't shown in for each week so that's a a challenge for you guys in communication right yeah there's no doubt in that they do a nice job of formations they get into quite a few different formations that would definitely have a new wrinkle with some of their formations in you know a little bit like us with a lot of the unbound sets and different variations off of that that we've always given a lot of teams problems with so they'll do a bunch of that as well what do they do best with a clicking well I think in a team it's best you know has some balance in their offense you know definitely their quarterbacks in wide receivers are very talented group they throw the ball they're very efficient draw.
