One it's always great to speak with you and even better to speak to all you have the same time so welcome to the show. Gin's thanks for having us guys. Thanks so i'm sure the audience really going to enjoy this station. And what you guys see in the financial markets right now. Toby whereas and i wrote a book of fairy long time ago now. It's almost a decade since it came out and that's pretty good explanation of sort of the underlying process which is like the screen basically and then under a few things on top of that. I think the most interesting thing in the market at the moment is kathy would and ach. Etf's you might remember. In the early dot com days those funchal janus and the head break performances go great flows like a of flaws as a result and they were focused on smaller quid. Take names said janus had these gripe flows into these very illiquid stocks and they degrade performance as a result and it was probably van driving up. The performance of those stocks has been a similar argument made about ach that they tend to focus on smaller. Non-profitable take stokes and Sorta gigantically big of the last few years. It's now sort of a third or fourth biggest. Ats show out there that flows now that go into these small illiquid tech stocks of they control prices of these textbooks. Had this little wobble of the last few days colson redemptions for them which may cause them to do some selling as well they also have been exposure tasteless I just think that that's the driver of the market at the moment is potentially getting some redemptions having to sell out of some of those stocks which will push an the names and a very sort of beholden to what tesla Much big stuff. But it's still quite volatile. Hasn't made a great deal of money and so there's some risks that creates Cascade selling an odd gets coordinated. And then i didn't know what that does to the rest of the market. That seems to me that there's a lot of money in tessler knocked is fairly new money. Little be sensitive to what happens

"People. Very nice. West grey, very nice to Starbucks on the corn. But the joke joint it today. It's a joke. Joining. Joke joint. That was called Danny Martinez on that one time. He said, I want you to have line, any show up on Friday. His wife was dash. You would make let me work thirty. I'm struggling and fucking toys. The end the mi- set I see this lady put a hand up and the pupil. On. She removed the hand and she just went blah, over the front table on the stage. I did about two minutes and the smell. Everybody fucking around. Have to be a troop to live through them. Yeah. Yeah. You just grow yet ends up and you go back to your room and go, what have you was that ever? What's I can tell you the closest I've been to walk off stage hours in Myrtle Beach and? These people were talking in the audience, and I was kind of talking to them. And then another table, get tired of them talking to, and then they started to argue with each other, and there was, nobody from the staff coming into break it up and nothing. I was saying was, so they I sat on the stage and watch them argue and pretend fight for it had to be five minutes. And I was like, I have to, because I couldn't at the time figure out how to control it, and I was like, do I just walk off the fucking state? Like I've literally lost control of this show. I can't get either table to calm down. And then other people are screaming tables, and I can't control the crowd at all. And I just sat there and it was a closest I've ever been to Dan fuck this if I like this is going to be the whole show, and I can't control it. I gotta walk off. I just sat I ordered a couple of drinks and just sat and waited for them to get tired of you on each other. But I didn't know that. The closest I've been walking off your clothes. No. No. I've never been close to walking. I've had my moments when I wanna cry up on stage where like you doing really bad just not get them. Just not taking the ride, but when I was doing coke attitude on stage because all I would think about was going on stage and doing forty five minutes. Go to coke. How did that change your that quick around GAO sky quicker and get the my fucking voodoo bag of that? So I had that problem for a long time and I just wanted to fill my. Obligation. I didn't really give about what I talked about state, and that's why I really had no success at that area was doing movies and stuff. I really had no control. I was just doing it to go on the road and not, you know, when you have an addiction you go on the road and number knows about it here. I would do it once a week here when I was on the road every night, you know, Wednesday through Sunday. I mean you storm Beaumont I mean, that was just, you know, I think about Beaumont I wanna get sick. You don't want a week from the audio on Sunday. The Friday my face was, but. Like my face was bent for five.

"Welcome to season to everyone. We're kicking things off by talking about momentum. What it is why it works. And why it's so hard to stick to momentum is a big area of research for academics and practitioners and today's guests are kind of both they got their PHD's from the university of Chicago. And both use momentum themes to manage real world portfolios. My name's west gray, I'm CEO of alpha architect, high cliff, Agnes, managing principal, and a co founder at a QR momentum at its core is pretty straightforward. If security has done well over say the last, twelve months, you buy it. If it's done poorly, you sell it piece of cake, but things get a little trickier once. You get into the details, here's Wess if you talk to people about momentum in our business. It means so many things to so many different people. If you talked in academic momentum means relative strength. Whereas if you talk insane momentum to practitioner, a lot of times think you talk about trend falling or time series momentum, which is where you got a single security measured over two different time.

"Exclusions apply. Corner of west gray and Montross. Glad you're with us. Welcome in the Monday beyond the headlines now, this morning's Mike Gavin is here with a look at some of the other stories you'll be talking about this morning. Good morning. Well, Doritos as it turns out or more than just a junk food for teens with the munchies they help deputies in San Bernardino, California. Lure a very large pay the size of a mini horseback. Home. The sheriff's department wrote online yesterday that deputies learned of the runaway pig and do to previous calls. They knew where the pig lived. They said the responding deputies quote, lured him back home with Doritos one of our deputies had in her lunch bag and the hungry pig followed their trail, the Instagram post was accompanied by a video showing and they weren't kidding about the size of this pig. Always had stood up on its hind legs would have dwarfed this. Female deputy that was lowering down the street with three does well for sure. This is a monster. That would that would be something to see because I don't think I've ever seen a pig. Stand up on the Tyne legs. Right. Well, yeah. I guess so and you know, again, apparently this big, I guess they knew where it lives because it had escaped before is that something, you know, we've gone through this before escaped animal, right? Why do they continue to sort of allow this to happen, right? I think a mildly offended by the by the age discrimination in your opening sentence, by the way. Doritos or more than just a junk food for teens with munches. Okay. Sure. Portent part of my diet, Mike, and I I don't I don't like that. Yeah. I I'd have to agree as well. I'm sort of just following the lead of the of the story that I kind of got this where I found this. But yes, I I would agree. There is no age discrimination. When it comes to Rita ranch. You gave me some ranch coup ranch. Definitely ranch. You know paired with wine or beer good for the afternoon, by the way with shows you and I have similar taste buds to pig. Yeah. Which is perhaps not uncommon for a man or people in radio for for that matter. And, you know, Gordon, there are a few of us who don't love pizza and many of us wish we could eat it every day. Enter a New Jersey man who says he only eating pizza for dinner every day since he was four years old Mike Roman who is now forty one told the new theory podcast that it was his mother that gave into his picky eating allowing him to only eat pizza for dinner and for about ten of those years, even a pizza every day for lunch. Oh, he now mixes it up with a peanut butter sandwich. Roman who works as a teacher only eats plain pizza with no toppings. He also typically goes out for pizza instead of cooking it at home Roman who is now married said that when he used to go out on dates, he only went out to places with pizza. Did he have pizza on his wedding day? You ask of course, he also had it at the cocktail hour and for lunch that day. How about on his honeymoon? Sure Aruba has pizza places. So your next question might be how healthy can a person who eats pizza every day. Be. Yes. Roman says, he has no health problems to speak up any manages to maintain normal way. Despite his greasy daily meal, adding that pizza has three of the four basic food groups. Okay. He does as we discussed before. But yeah. You know, he's a normal looking guys farces weight goes as probably because he's a super picky eaters is not snacking all the time. Like you. And I would be everything that's around. He's just waiting for his one meal pizza meal, man. You know, what I've I've started using on pizza for added flavor. Lemon salts lemon salt. Nice. I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of lemon evolve. Crushed red pepper. Oh boy. Nice combo. All right. We we're we're definitely eating something after this is over by the way, just quick math. Yeah. If.
