Fresh update on "west coast" discussed on Anything is Possible

"I'm Jack Priscilla this is anything is possible and we're talking to Greg cluxton for the last 26 plus years he's been The White House correspondent for Salem radio network Greg welcome and honor to have you Thank you drag It's great to be with you Thanks for the invitation All right let's start by talking about your childhood And your mom and your dad please Sure I grew up mostly in Seattle When I was a young taught we were in New York State but moved out to the West Coast and I did most of my growing up in the Seattle Washington area I have a younger brother three years younger loving family My mom and dad are still in Seattle And the rest of us have scattered across the country But I had a great growing up just a normal childhood I had a paper route once I got to about you know 6 7th grade And I fell in love with the radio not by just listening to it but because of a speech class a drama class that I was in in 8th grade And it was in that class that we did a one act play that was based on happenings at a radio station The interesting thing is the drama teacher had actual working props with a turntable a microphone and headphones And you have to remember Jack this was before walkmans and iPods and we just didn't have mobile audio equipment necessarily available to a lot of households or a lot of kids in those days And so this was really the first time I was using this equipment and even though it was just for a play I was really intrigued by it and I went home and I started fiddling around with my dad's old cassette tape recorder and I bought some headphones from RadioShack with some of my paper route money and I started making radio programs recording radio shows in my basement bedroom I would interview my brother I'd go across the street and interview kids I would read newspaper stories out of the paper into the cassette recorder and I was just playing records and experimenting a lot So that was where my early love of radio began in 7th or 8th grade What's the biggest thing you learned from mom and what's the biggest thing you learned from dad Well my mom is one of hospitality She has a gift of hospitality She's an excellent cook And she loves to entertain and she is extremely generous And that is just the perfect combination of being a hostess and a gracious neighbor and a kind coworker and she is all of those And just a fabulous mom a loving mom My dad also a loving dad Different characteristics different traits different strengths He was involved in higher education during his career started as a high school English teacher then went into college administration and consulting and has been involved in higher education his entire life And he really showed me the benefit of following through on a job in terms of putting effort into whatever project you're working on seeing it to completion and he really instilled in me the importance of doing quality work And hopefully that's carried over into my own life and my own career We're talking to Greg cluxton If you want to learn more at WWW dot SIN online dot com Greg how did you get your first break in broadcasting Well it's interesting because I moved from Seattle to the state of Michigan the summer before my senior year of high school Not the most opportune time to be moving and changing schools right before your senior year but it turned out to be a great move and opportunity for our family and for me personally as well I had a great senior year in the tiny town of spring arbor Michigan a couple of hours west of Detroit And what was interesting is the small college there in town spring arbor college now spring arbor university had two radio stations A.m. and FM radio station they had a very strong communications program for their undergraduate students and I was really drawn to this radio station and it was a small town and I was able to even visit the station and go on to campus And it wasn't just an on campus station for students to be broadcasting to their buddies in the dormitory These were legitimate radio stations that had a large listening area around southern Michigan and they were operated to give training and students the opportunity to learn what was like doing real radio work while they were in college And so I ended up attending spring arbor and I got my first break the summer before my freshman year So before the other freshman even arrived because I lived in town and the station was short of staff workers that summer they said hey we know you're going to be coming in as a communication major and a radio Person of interest And we'll get you started And so I started working that summer that was the summer of 1984 So I was immediately drawn to that opportunity It turned out to be a wonderful hands on experience I worked every imaginable shift over the next four years as a college student And then also branched off into working at some other local radio stations in Jackson and Lansing Michigan working at both a country radio station and later a rock and roll oldies station just getting any chance I could to work overnight shifts weekend jobs I just fell in love with radio and knew that's exactly what I wanted to do You.

"Knot just turned into a question mark. It's a shape shifter now. Next story, target is testing a partnership with thredUP. Thred up the second hand marketplace, you may have shopped on it. I have shopped on it numerous times. They are behind target testing out selling second hand clothing on their website. So thredUP is running the back end of it. So you can get to it through targets website, but thredUP is doing all the backend stuff. Target is saying that it is a way to further its sustainability goals and better serve its customers. They are including about 400,000 women's and kids items. That's a deep catalog. The products that are part of this are target private label, but they're also a bunch of other brand too. It's like the target dresses that you'd find on sale. Like stuff like that. But it's also brands like J crew. Free people. Zara, that are showing up on this website. This is not new, a lot of companies are doing secondhand. We've talked about many of them. Here, a lot of luxury companies are starting to get into it. ThredUP itself has partnered with a lot of brands like madewell and Macy's and things like that. I went on the site and the thing that why I brought it to the podcast is this. It was the first time it really struck me that the public is giving the clothes to these places where it's going secondhand. So my thought process is this. Since they can sell like a J crew sweater on target site. That came from somebody. And targets ultimately getting a cut of it. That struck me is kind of weird this time around. Because I can't determine where my clothes are going. I'm assuming when I give clothes to thredUP. When one of their bags, they're going to thread up like they're selling on their site. But they're curating for other companies, too. Um. So, are the prices the same as they would be if you were shopping on thredUP directly? Do we know that? So I perused and I felt like the prices were fair. They were what I would expect a secondhand. What I would expect from thredUP on their website, it seemed good, but it was like, I was just like, this is our sweater. They're selling it through thredUP on target. So what's happening with the products? I don't know. Am I overthinking this, Lisa? I want to see this. I'm coming to liqueur. I'm coming. I need to see it with my eyes. Okay, shop now. Okay, I see it. Yeah. Why do I got to do this on the target website? Is my question? Why don't I just do this on the thredUP website? I'm guessing because they're curating for a target audience. And when you look at the product as a whole, I could say as a target shopper, you're like, yeah, I'm kind of within this realm. I kind of get this, which is a service. It really is because when you go on thredUP, there's so much product and so many different types of styles. Like the idea of being able to call that a little is helpful. These pictures also look pretty good in comparison to some others I've seen. Am I overthinking this? Actually interesting. I don't know, it's interesting. And I can't, you know, you know why it bugs me. You know what grinds my gears? Is that it was like before when we were talking about search engines? When I go to Amazon target Walmart, the process of filtering through what is a third party seller, versus a thing that is sold by Amazon or target or Walmart, meaning it is in their warehouse and it gets shipped from them. That part of the process is exhausting to me. And I hate it a lot. Because it's confusing and because the shipping cost and time promises the retailer gives me isn't always in line with what is realistic with the third party seller. And so I may click on something put it in my cart and find out that that's not what's really going on. And it's just a lot of back and forth for me mentally. And if I went to target dot com and happened upon this site, which is target dot thread up dot com. I think it creates more confusion for customers who are already overwhelmed with my search. That's what I think. If I'm going to target, I don't want someone's used Lululemon shorts. That's still cost 40 bucks. I think there's something that's just not lining up here. And I can't really articulate it. But it bothers me. Not to the point where I'm going to go hold a sign outside of target. I'm just saying we're like, as a business, it doesn't really match up for me. Yeah, I'm a little confused by it too. It doesn't mean it's a bad partnership. It just means that I don't know what the ultimate goal is, I want to see how this plays out. And they are framing it as a test. So it may be something that they do for a little while and then pull back on because it's not working or it's not meeting the objectives that they want or who knows. Before a 100,000 items is a big way to start. It's a big, broad.

"And we know a lot of people who do like really amazing handcrafted work and I feel like they're getting beat up right now with this platform. Yeah, yeah, I did a little bit of a search this week to see what would happen if I went on the website. Could I tell that there was anything going on. And so I just typed the word strike into the search and I got lots of results of sellers who had taken down all but one listing in this one listing had screenshots of what it cost, like basically showing a sale for one of their typical items and then showing all the fees coming off and what was left for them. And this is a platform that rewards sellers who ship fast, ship free, who are giving in to instant gratification. Well, it's an Amazon mindset of how you sell because exactly that's what the company wants to compete with, but you still have people who are literally making soap in their small garages or whatever. That's who's putting out the products and they're doing an amazing job at it. But you can't have that person. They're not a one person Amazon. They're just not. Right. And they should not be expected to be. I think we can have it both ways. It's just you Etsy need to double down on what you really are and what you really should be. You can grow Etsy with without losing sight of that original vision. I don't know exactly how, don't ask me for tangible to dos. They don't want me anyway, so don't worry about it. Why don't they want you, Lisa? Everybody wants you. I don't think they would like my attitude. I would come in and be like, see what you're doing wrong. I would mansplain it, honestly. And I don't think they would appreciate that. That would be the first time in my life that I've mansplained something. Listen, your top knot would just get bigger and more glorious as you did. Oh man, I'd be like, listen here. My top knot turns into a megaphone. And it projects my voice. This is what every boyfriend I've ever had. It's their nightmare. Having a megaphone in anywhere in my vicinity. Yeah. I think it sounds delightful. Or at least you like it. My opinion is what counts. Let's do this. This is straight. On this show, there's two opinions that count. And you're listening to them both. Thank you so much. Why are you turning it off? What's that? Don't leave. Please, we love you. I hear you reaching for your phone, stop that. Let's move on. Let's give them more of what they came here for. Which is our voices. I'm going to give you a fun one. Mike Gallagher Goes to the 'Freedom Convoy' Following Lack of Coverage

"Last week when I couldn't find any media coverage of the freedom convoy. I said on the air, I thought maybe it had petered out. Well, as we've discovered with our own eyes and ears here in Hagerstown, Maryland, it has hardly petered out. There are thousands of vehicles, trucks, cars, signs everywhere, lots of let's go Brandon signs. There are signs that say Trump won, let's take our country back. But this is really a mass grassroots protest against mandates against lockdowns against government overreach. So I decided to pick up and come to Hagerstown, Maryland, and we're standing right now in the Hagerstown speedway, parking lot. If you're watching us on the sale of news channel, you can see the trucks, the American flags, the signs, the symbols of patriotism everywhere, and it's pretty fun. It's like a kind of a festival atmosphere. Trucks driving by honking enthusiastically. And this is sort of part of a fluid protest that started out of the West Coast and is winding its way to Washington,

A Response to 'Are You Retired, or Do You Work?'

"I want to be one of those seniors who's had a relatively easy time. Now, that doesn't always happen. As I found out with my hernia surgery and my hip replacement and my COVID and I guess COVID is an age related. Yesterday I was kind of curious about this condo building that's being built in St. Petersburg. And it's being spearheaded by John catsimatidis in New York, who's the really amazing businessman. He owns the supermarket chain. And he bought WABC radio. Prior to buying WABC radio, he worked a lot with the station we're on in New York. I am 9 70. The answer. I went over to check out their building this the biggest building on the West Coast of Florida. It's going to be like, I think 60 stories tall. And I was just kind of curious. I've never, I would never buy a condo sight unseen. I mean, they do this slick sales pitch where they beautiful artist renderings and everything and the model. I'm thinking, you know, the guy and the guy was good. And he asked me not knowing what I do for a living. Are you retired? Or do you work? I almost broke out in tears. I almost started crying. I was like, who the heck are you? What do you mean am I retired? Do I look like I'm retired, kid? Is about this 30 something year old guy? Are you retired or do you work, mister Gallagher? No, I work, pal. And I'll be working long after you're gone. 'cause I get cats and Matias to fire your butt because you're asking people they're old.

Red Wave To Sweep the Nation

"Com, but let's get back to this massive red wave that's happening because I like a little good news. Here and there, right? We could use it. And this is very good news. There's a brand new poll out showing that if the election were held today, 54.4% of all Americans would vote for a generic Republican, they would vote for the Republican Party compared with 49.9% voting for Democrats, which puts the GOP at a 12 point advantage over Democrats, 3.7% are undecided. Now, there's a reason for this. There's a really, really big reason for this. And it has to do total utter failure of policies. For the last couple of years. Really and truly, the Democrats have just completely whipped on this. I mean, for goodness, I told you just in yesterday's program, right about how annoying it was to see all those maskless celebrities and the massless politicians out at the big shindig, the Super Bowl. Out on the West Coast when they keep force feeding us this idea that no, no, you have to have to have to absolutely wear masks. It's all in the name of science to which you know I've said. Yeah. Political science. That is what it is all in the name of. You already are now starting to see that start to peel back in the northeast with so many states now saying, okay, and maybe we need to leave it up to the individual schools, the individual communities, whether or not they're wearing masks. Why? Because they know they're not going to get reelected. These governors are not going to get reelected. They know there is no chance in AG double L given how upset people have become.

"Most interesting story of the afternoon was Brian Flores. Late last afternoon on the West Coast. It's early evening on the east coast. I'm starting to do my show prep, and I see Brian Flores, who was head coach of the Miami Dolphins for a couple of years, has just unloaded on the NFL. Alleging discrimination against black coaches. And he shot at the NFL and his complaint, and he hit it, but he really took out Bill Belichick. Because Bill Belichick thought he was texting somebody other than Brian Flores. And he was texting, I think Brian did all telling him. Hey, the fix is in. Don't worry, there's the paraphrase I don't have in front of me. Don't worry, Brian, you've got this job, you're gonna get this job. They told me you've got the job. Good for you. You're gonna do great with a giant Brian Florence was in the about to head off to interview at New York Giants land. He had to go through a charade because of the Rooney rule. The Rooney rule requires that you hire at least one African American. You interview at least one African American for every opening for GM and head coach. I think that's the Rooney rule. Now the browns have actually lived by the Rooney rule. They had Hugh Jackson as their head coach. They got the amazing Andrew Barry, who's maybe the best GM in football, both black men who are great professionals. You didn't do so well. But but you can't pretend. The Market Can't Sustain Fictional Growth That's Not Anchored in Reality

"As we go to air here, we've got a market that's been seen tremendous downside down roughly a thousand points there on the Dow, now down around 500 or so, we'll see how this winds up shaking out. But I think the reality is this Americans investors everywhere are waking up to the reality that you can't have this sort of fictional growth in the stock market that's not based on relevant growth within the rest of the economy. And as we increasingly look at a stagflation like environment, and that's what we're looking at right now. There are questions as to whether or not earnings will continue coming in with positive with positive growth. And we'll see how this plays out. There's been some big misses, right? You've got Goldman Sachs, which missed last week, you've got Netflix, which again took it on the chin today down about 5% in trading because it's not growing as quickly as people had anticipated all of this affect sentiment Microsoft Apple both which have earnings this week down about 2% Tesla down about 5%. Clearly, there's some jitters out there, and there's some jitters because you can't have such an inflationary environment without any growth. And that's the real fear right now. You got last week's jobless claims, which showed an uptick. You've got so many supply chain problems that are continuation of this whole COVID nightmare. And that's not going to change. Anytime soon, it's not like it's not like you can flip a switch and say, okay, the supply chains are back on. You still have ships on the West Coast that are struggling to offload. You've got a need for truckers to then take all of those products and get them out to Americans. What Is Redistricting?

"I wanted to take just a few minutes to explain me districting. The basics, because I get most people to understand it's crazy. So every ten years, every state has to redistrict, which means their legislative lines and the congressional lines, the federal lines they have to redo. And so how it traditionally has worked all throughout history is that the legislature is responsible for doing this. So usually it's the House of Representatives for your state is tasked with basically redrawn the lines in the Senate approves them or vice versa. And then they basically have to get signed into law by the governor. Now, in about the last 20 years, the left has basically overtaken this entire process by implementing what is called independent redistricting commissions. This is the scary thing. So if your state has an independent redistricting commission, and there's I think it's about ten states that do it right now. It might be about a dozen. Arizona is one of them. California is obviously one of the whole West Coast does this. Virginia does it. This is where basically a independent quote unquote bored or body is established that is not the legislature, which was originally intended by the founders. And these people basically get to draw the lines. And so it actually involves less people in most states, like here in Arizona. So they take the census data allegedly. They mix it all up and take the census data and so where you have an independent redistricting commission that commission is appointed in Arizona it's 5 people. There's two Republicans to Democrats and one independent. So basically it comes down to the one independent one person, one singular individual, and the entire state of Arizona decides all the lines for the state of Arizona. One of the most important states, top three most important states in the

Internet Of Things (MM #3925)

"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason. We hear people talk about the Internet of Things all the time, but most people still don't know what it means or what we're talking about. Basically the Internet of Things is what connects our smart devices, if you will, with the Internet in the cloud, usually by a service from Amazon called AWS. You may have heard about AWS recently because a lot of websites were down because AWS was having problems on the West Coast.

That also meant some of your Internet services, some of your connected technology was down as well, and that's a problem. Not only for some of the work I do, some of those services that we use web based cloud based services, they were down for a day and a half, but all of my smart devices were down as well. "Grant mixing him at the starters, Horford playing great when he's out there. So like, I like what they look like without Brown right now, and that's not to say they're better without Brown to do that kind of thing. But these guys have had the opportunity to match and you're right. You think of what are we talking about now with Brown two games on top of 8, so ten games without Brown with the hamstring plus another with the knee. So that's 11 games that they've been without Brown these. As many games as they've had them, they've not had them and you've had a lot of opportunity here to create good solid rotations without them. And I want to keep see I keep rolling the records really good. I don't have enough to top my head. They played well in that stretch without them the last time. Now a win and another great offensive performance, the game before this in Utah. Sometimes clicking. I don't know if it's a case of just Brown and Tatum not being able to mesh out there at the same time. And like I said, I hate going there because it feels like it's an unnecessary hot take. It's just an observation. When you sit, when you're talking about meshing, that's the one thing I haven't seen yet. You know, as you started mentioning it. But what you have seen is they've unlocked a few things, you know? Marcus smart like, you look at the evolution of the team and a lot of different ways. And again, I was just happy off a loss as I've ever been yesterday just watching the way they played. And I know people will be like, the defense was atrocious, but like Celtics played like they played against Utah, all season long. They're a four seed, you know, and you'll be, I mean, you'll be satisfied with that effort. You know, night and night out. But you've unlocked a couple of things. Marcus smart's clearly getting better at this as the season goes on. He had a really rough first few weeks as he was figuring out who he was supposed to be on this team. And in this offense and again, since the talking to since the smart comments and they mentioned it a bunch of other broadcasts since that smart has played a lot better. The offense has run through him a lot more Tatum has Tatum has gotten better. Brown hasn't really been around for it. Things have improved, but he's gotten better. Richardson has gotten better..

Jennifer Horn Sees Parents Waking up and Pushing Back

"Let's talk about what's happening in Virginia. The incredible meeting at loudon county. I just want to play one more cut. We've been playing them all afternoon. Let's go to cut 5 another father, the loudon counting meeting, a year last night, play cuts. There's also word of a freedom high school teacher who's been transferred to Belmont ridge three weeks ago after sexual impropriety with a student. It's been learned 5 years ago. There was yet another sexual assault on a freshman girl at tuskegee wear high school, with someone this boy covered up. Scott, why are you so close to the Commonwealth attorney? It seems like our kids are being used as pawns in some social reform game. Scott, why did you have a private non foible meeting with the Commonwealth attorney, on October 15th, at that fundraising that you and I both attended? We witnessed it. Why am I still waiting on the page that was missing from the foia results on how you plan to spend the 11 hours tied to your masking and testing mandates? Resigned tonight, all of you, and in the mockery you've all brought in this great county. Resign tonight. Why are schoolboard members having none the foible meetings with other offices in the state? Are these stories are these visible at all? Do they resonate in California or are there analogs? Is anything happening at California school board meetings, Jennifer? Well, I think there's something that's replicating on the West Coast, just like on the east coast and everywhere parents are waking up. I think COVID did it. I think it was an unintended consequence of the left shutting everything down and fear mongering. Everyone home for a year and a half, parents realized what the curriculum was in school and just what is really happening and they're starting to push back. But I think there's two things going on here. First, you've got people pushing back against curriculum and critical race theory. Attorney general Merrick Garland was testifying today about about his memo in which he's completely, it got a conflict of interest. He's earning money about from critical race theory, or at least his son in law is, while he's trying to call parents, domestic

Why Are There So Many Job Openings in America? Something's Not Adding Up

"This. Hey, David, thanks for calling, why are there so many job openings still in America? 5000 job openings, a golden corral? Did you can you believe that? I appreciate time. Thank you. We appreciate all that you do. Thank you. It's all part of the plan. It's part of destroying America. Pay people to stay home. You know, in our schools, they got CRT and mask mandates and the injection. Inflation, look at the board. Look at Afghanistan. The food shortages barges out in the West Coast. They can't even land. It's all part of the plant to destroy American. If The White House don't step up soon, we're all going to be trouble. I mean, this is like this is like David. David, this is like a Hollywood movie. If you put a script together and said, how would you slowly but surely destroy the country, these are the policies that would be enacted. I mean, you're so right. Now, let's go back to your first point though about paying people to stay home. The unemployment, the pandemic unemployment benefits ended him over a month ago. So why aren't you go ahead programs after that? There's still programs after the helping people write less. It might not be clear for people to see, but there's still people out there getting money to do nothing. Yeah, but if you work, I don't know. If you work at a golden corral and you're making, you know, 14, $15 an hour, $17 an hour, maybe you get tips. You know, however that works, whatever the income is for people. And then you're paid to stay home for a year, I get it. All the unemployment, the key COVID era unemployment programs that were established by the cares act ended September 6th. People aren't getting paid anymore to stay home, so don't they have to go to work? Did people save enough? While they weren't working? I mean, something else is going on here. There's something that is not making sense.

"Visit you places but to my family's all back in new jersey so to be able to you know kinda go for work but also get to spend time with them and and kind of you know maybe spend a day or two on the front end or back. End is really really nice But in terms of recruiting people. I mean for the most part. I mean we're spring sport but it kind of technical smarts in the winter so it's not a bad cell to to say come to southern california where it's seventy five and sunny all the time and you can play the sport that we play outside. You know The weather's great and we got the beaches so Yeah it's it's not too hard to sell for the kids. I think you know coming east. Some of them obviously want to stay a little closer to home. But it's more the parents you know. I think really kind of wrapping their head around their kid. You know going across the country and things like that but Yeah we were from all over. So i had the exact opposite. I i got the phone call late at night. Saying oh my god when my daughter started playing in maryland and it was like my hands are freezing. It was forty degrees. I had so much close on can barely move because she drew up around here. Yeah so i know. And we've tried mean we when we travel in the spring we'll play some east coast teams and sometimes in february or march. And we've tried it all in terms of preparation you know but you can't you just can't prepare for it and i'll tell you what i mean. You get you get accustomed accustomed to it pretty quickly out here to grow up on the east coast and i. I was tough. I am no longer as tough as i used to be. That that is for sure that that was that came along with the phone call when she went back after christmas break and she goes. There's five feet of snow around my car. He had yeah shovel shoveling. That's exactly what i said. Start shoveling and that's something i mean. That's i think how much more west coast growth do you see coming up. I mean is it going to be i know. Ucla's club team and san diego state and santa barbara has got really good club team. Yeah it's definitely it's definitely growing more and more. I think you know there are still challenges. Being out on the west coast. I think you know just in regards to scheduling and getting people to come out year. I think more from the east coast just because for them. It is so easy to jump on a bus in play a number of teams right there. So i think that's our biggest challenge you know. Our universities are extremely supportive of us. Going to the east coast to play in. That's great but still getting teams out here. Come and play. Us is sometimes a challenge. But i think the growth of the game in in california and just on the west coast in general is is very very exciting in so i think you know the more we continue that the more that are programs out here in the west are competitive. And ito's really make waves in the ncaa in the national. Polls all those things. I think That will continue to help the growth as well but even consistently the best west coast team is oregon like the next best I mean honestly. The pac twelve is is extremely stanford. the conference last year colorado Has been you know extremely extremely competitive. Arizona state has come on in the last couple of years. They got a new coach So really across the board. You know The pac twelve is really really growing and We're starting to beat each other up a little bit..

"Out of that rigid You know kind of mentality on the on the field when you travel what what do you how do you spend your time That's a great question. It depends i guess on know it depends on the year and what time you know. Obviously when we're in season it's. I'm watching film pretty much twenty. Four seven of our games other games Our opponents all of that But when i when we're not you know kind of in the thick of things. I am a big like movie. Tv you know Buff in terms of being able to decompress a little bit kind of shut it off for a little bit so i definitely you know will will kind of watch movies. Read some books to kinda get my mind off of across a little bit but obviously sometimes it's it's a lot of film. It's a lot of scheming ensalada. You know game planning and that kind of stuff do your next year assistance and talk permit or you. Just you know it's funny. I think it's really we travel agent. Does our flights and so usually it's actually done alphabetically so generally don't right near the assistance we kinda you know. End up mixing it with the girls or Just kinda wherever or put so. Sometimes it's nice to not again if you're sitting next year assistance. Talking five hour straight. I think you might both you know you may both get get sick of that after a little bit so do end up. I'm just curious as a coach. Do you end up thinking more about like. You're going to go to the east coast this weekend when you coming back. Are you just constantly thinking about okay. That girl did that and we did that. We got to work on that. You know we're working on that or it's hard to shut it off for me a little bit. I think again. Sometimes i'm better at it sometimes. Not so great. But so yes on the flight i definitely will be watching some film and thinking and all that but again right now. It's it's the fall season so it's really the time to make mistakes and learn and grow and sort of all those things so i think the little different than spring. Probably when we're really in season But yeah i'm someone who like will wake up in the middle of the night like thinking about all across drills so we have that that piece to it too but again we're just excited to go out there to have you know we didn't have this last fall. We weren't able to travel. We didn't actually eat in practice last fall so Really for us like just the team bonding sense of like being in the airport or staying in a hotel like all that fun stuff is is really the number one thing that i think. We're all looking forward 'til that'd be a good year curious when when you recruit. Are you the one still recruiting. Are you going out and seeing the high school teams. Go to the tournaments. Yeah it's definitely a shared responsibility for the entire staff. So we kinda split up the tournaments pretty evenly all go out there and and watch games and see people and then obviously kinda do Some camps and clinics both at sc and then across the country just to be able to work with kids and Kind of have that one on one interaction And then obviously bring on campus and things like that so yeah. It's definitely all of us. Must be interesting for you to go back east and try to recruit kids from becky's to your west coast. It's it's it's nice to go back like the travel piece of this job..

"Chao. I'm glad you were available today because there are two headlines one from the wall. Street journal biggest. Us retailers charter private cargo ships to sail around port delayed then in the new york times. It's not sustainable. What america's port crisis looks like up close. There aren't enough workers. There aren't enough ships. You've been the secretary of labor in the secretary of transportation. What do we do well. I can This is a very dr situation when colder initially hit our shores. Early twenty twenty. I was in secretary of transportation and we quickly focused on keeping the transportation supply chains open. You know in our country so that essential medical supplies groceries and other essential. Oh we're valuable and that effort actually acquired some pretty strong measures number one we Decided to eat some restrictions on truckers that they can keep good moving. we made. Sure that the national airspace kept airplanes flying because even one point planes when nearly empty a passengers commercial airline also routinely trust transport a lot of good especially medical supplies You know the minimum remember those early days of the initial lockdowns. We had hoarding of toilet papers. Any wives shortage of mass doors of putting limits on how much customers can buy of one item and more than seventy percent of domestic freight move by a truck but today's supply chain problems. Extend all the way from foreign ports where worker shortages and covert lockdowns a flow the mode of The loading of cargo ships from where they started to. Us ports primarily the west coast port. The one of the i love about that book is that you can still hear his elitism. As he's writing the book he's critiquing it but in exposing it but it's still in them right and reverence for right and video was perfect. You don't wanna be around you nigga. Couple years later he came back out. Like damn i was wrong about that. Shit you but That you say kenny. I want to touch on a really good point Oh yeah the same lady. I don't work in certain types of fields. So i don't know what it's like in certain types of fields so i'm not judging people but me personally. I don't wanna work place. It'll be like you know. A person tripped over some immigrants. Triple like what are you talking about. How far removed from the beatles. Africa's that do that shit. What are you talk. You know africans is that they argue with the same wasn't twitter and they swear at best. The representation of the country of cotton right argued continent is basically that they had with two people that happen to be african african. But there's a picture up and they got the nigerian flag. So that's their africans. Let all africans that way. Do you understand how toxic of a mindset that is. i think i've seen one was arguing with this african. Do for nothing in the deal was like burlap was born in america and i never been to africa right about and he still kept going at him. Oh my wow yeah but see no because you african so you know what's going on right there. Hollas mess up the generation. So you know. I'm not even going to say like you know how people like. I'm gonna third second-generation this or third generation. That like i don't. I don't always watch that. But basically his parents grandparents and his parents were from there in the. He's born in america. He never been off the continent before and Is that what that is generation born here generation. The you know they got on wa while as nigerian getting on while and i think in his lyrics when he made that one he was really talking about. Fbi they don't even like black women you know you're asking what he said on their song. That's colbert is getting. Wow wait it would. I'm like damn. I knew some some riffs. You know this but the thing is like there are legitimate conversations and we can have about immigrants how how impacts black people in america and whatnot. I think i'm not against that conversation with these people. Don't wanna have that real conversation. They just want to blame. Everything on caribbean people are african people in hate us. And that's how they i know. I think there are some that hate us. I definitely think that's true. I think there's misinformation given about us all over the world. You know So that's not because we buy mind you none of us own any the worldwide media right none of none of the nigga on the planet own the worldwide immediate all white people right and some asians but the thing is we. Are you know we we have. There are definitely differences. Definitely some things of places of contention and things. I think are very legit however when we start to label every body that way. "That was because they have an excellent video game design. That's his thing he wants to get into santa barbara. It's one of those one of those two. He wanted to video game design. And so you know. They had a supposedly have a reputation having a really good program up there and then so we were going through all these different. Well you know the The arts center design you know supposedly they're mostly upper echelon and all this type of stuff once you look at that one two in the on just kind of added to the mix and then once we start having conversations with the with the counselors and everything over there it was just like oh man. This is it. You know what i'm saying. Like they sold a really good They sold their program really well and one of the things that attracted him was the the video game design program that they have there is is new so he was like man i can get in on that and they kinda like building it up and i could be part of one of the first class to graduate from there for that and it's a world renowned school already. You know what i'm saying. So he was excited about the prospect of being one of the first people to grass away from their video. Game design emphasis in this kind of stuff but then it was like the plus the money. I ain't gonna lie like that school over fifty k. In after aid of like oh man we free for him right right exactly. Yeah and the thing is with community college. I started at a community college The second time. Because the first time i was playing football doom being a dummy But checked just literally community college. You just you're allowed more resources when you get onto a college like for whatever reason if he wanted to transfer from pcc and go to usc or go to ucla or go to a pepperdine or it's going to be so many people like your counselor don't have time. "Gatorade knows there are many paths to greatness. How you get there is up to you. Sometimes you got to grind it out to get up early and put the work even when you're not failing a hundred sometimes. It takes thank focused on a goal knowing where you wanna be and you'll have to pour everything into get their other times. You just need to dig deep. Show some guts to be brave and never let anything stand in the way of what you want to accomplish. Then there are the days you have to get in the gym and see some gains to put an all the reps and get stronger each day. But whatever path you take to greatness. Gatorade is there to help fuel. The journey because greatness starts with g. me back to the middle bay is my childhood. Can't wait time tomorrow right here. I take us given a what else can folks expect. Can expect him t-ball on fridays again. Expect michael irvin on mondays. They can expect to see. Marc spears and obviously ryan clock and keyshawn johnson. And kimberly more and dan olaf ski. And jeff saturday and tedy bruschi and all the whole crew regular crew of contributors that we have but they can also expect to see new faces as well because there's a lot of people in the world of sports and then the world entertainment were trying to get at me for years where it up down like michael stray earlier at me. Well the list is long. But i'm here. And i intend to be lord willing so let's get it on anybody that wants to be in that chair that produces at. I take their numbers are not hard to find. Damn sure ain't hard to find. So that's what. I'm opening it up to the world and by the way that includes some fans out there as well. I'm keeping an eye on fence. I don't want any idiot. Knowledgeable i want. I want knowledgeable fans who know how to be classy in-depth by the way i'm particularly because you can't. You can't just dress any owais in look in. Galway show up on national television. I got to see the look or hand. Swipe less kimberly martin. Here is set a standard been setting a standard. For years now damien. Woody is not wearing a tie. Mockus being not win. Is the dress code. Y'all it's wait in line at the club like okay you come in. That's stephen wright. Plenty more still to come here. Guys get your popcorn ready for the stephen a. Interview with travis. Kelsey the titans. As patrick mahomes is not the most exciting player in the league. What he has some explaining to do stay tuned for that. Can't wait to see travis in stevens sitting down together. Quick dates guys. Ready to kimberly two thousand by low and not being named a dolphins captain something for nothing molly at something because think about it. Here's an opportunity for his teammates coaches to say we trust you. We believe in you. You're the guy. And what's the one thing. The dolphins had not done since last year. This off season is come out and commit to to a you. Are the guy so this to me is a little troubling i. I'm worried about two this year. We've heard rumors watson. wilson was named staunch. They should treat what sharon watts manship stephen. A thirty or cardinals coach. Cook kingsbury says he's unfazed by outside fresher to make the playoffs that he'd be feeling the heat should be feeling the heat. Because i mean how many dobbs. You watt san francisco seattle and l. a. Make the playoffs. But you coming up short. Let's face to face reality. We love column murphy. And what we've seen from him but a lot of it is based basically his lettuce athletic prowess and his playmaking ability as opposed to kings birds. Play calling we got kifah. He's the right man from jeff. Hi kimberly a hoodie edge. To this week one matchup washington's defensive line for justin herber. I you know what ma. I spent time with chasing off season. So i'm gonna say washington d. line this week is going to get the better of just in herbert but just in herbert. He's nice. charges are better west. That's d. lineman both sides. Let's say in la here. Matthew stafford is china winning. First playoff game and justin. Herbert is looking to build off his rookie year. Campaigns chargers star as you can see here receiver in an allen. Said that about her. I don't think he has a ceiling really. I think this is a really good question. And i'm not in this day. And because i'm asking it but la quarterback. Would you rather have the season to me. This one was easy. it's just an herbert. Because when you think about matt stafford. What's the narrative around stafford. Finally has the pieces. You finally has the defense. The offense the coach the organization vc. Guess what justin. Herbert he is that piece. When you think about the chargers and how this is a team more people should be talking about because it is that legit. We've talked about his offense rookie of the year campaign. He won that by a wide margin. Forty one to nine. That's how that's how wider margin he had because of that breakout season and to me. It's the the upside like quarterbacks when you some games in the regular season of course great quarterbacks potentially great quarterbacks when the game it's late fourth quarter two minutes on the clock in your life him down like what can get in the huddle you look in your quarterback and you see just her like okay. We're good and matt stafford's career trajectory facing a super bowl or bus season tells me that you can't trust the numbers. You can't trust that he will definitely take you to the super bowl. I have more faith than just in her. You sil- you won't but i mode sister. Linda law lady abigail calm in my sisters. They love themselves. From kimberly ma and watching the they've been reading at work in new york newsday years no less the or she blessed us with her presence on national television. So i have to monitor my own. He's gonna bring you go beat beneath audit okay. Let me be very clear kimberly wrong. Oh first of all just in. Herbert just guy. He a baby in playoffs last year. Breath but wet behind this. But i'm right this particular moment in time right now. Herbert muhammad breath melton like semi lack. Okay i got mad love and faith in him for the future but for this she hears about matthew stafford. And it's about those los angeles rams and when you talk about who you'd rather have i would remind you. Although to record is seventy four ninety one as a starting quarterback in the nfl over twelve seasons would put more bond for pets. Perpetually more von detroit lions. don't blame your staff for that. I will remind you. Let me read a couple numbers to you. Got seventy four wins in his twelfth season. How many of them were credited to game. Winning drive led by stafford molly. Thirty eight thirty eight. That's a fifty. "Have you ever tried to upload video amid frustrated by the time it takes of land on the server. Put your video upload woes shane. It's no easy task yet. It gets done relatively seamlessly every single year for that. You need to send your thank you. Notes to garrett boss cio west coast at box where he is responsible for providing the infrastructure and technology to the broadcast. Crews that bring you your favorite. Sporting events and television shows are mandate really is to reduce friction everywhere we can to enable those creatives and those production people just spend all of their energy and time focused on those things. I want him remove every barrier every pickup every challenge that they have it's not related to their talent of putting inspiring content on the air for our viewers. Expectations are getting higher and higher. Innovate fast empower every employee and skill with confidence from anywhere with a customer at the center of everything you do learn more at salesforce dot com slash platform. Welcome everyone to another episode of. It visionaries and today we have the cio of the west coast fox corporation garrett boss garrett. Welcome to the show thank you. It's great to be here pleasure to meet you and look forward to the conversation. Yeah let's dive right into it. So fox is a huge company. We all know that it's got many many different forms of products services content. You name it whatever you wanna say. It fox's huge. Where specifically do you work over. 'cause you cower starting certain describe it you know. West coast fox with the difference between east coast fox. How does this all work and lay out because we understand that fox from the outsiders perspective. Fox's just huge. Right right yeah. So fox. Really has four divisions within its There's our sports division. Which is everything broadcast. Nfl major league baseball etcetera that we put on the network in our f s one in fsu channels and then there's box entertainment. Which is what you think about mass senior. You know nine one one all those all those shows in prime time and then there's fox news which is our news cable news channel which most people are familiar with. And then there's fox television stations which is a set of owned and operated Affiliates around the country that fox manages so our. Our company is primarily based in new york in los angeles and are to east coast. Businesses are fox news and fox television stations on the west coast. We have sports and entertainment. So i have a counterpart on the east coast. Who oversees the operations. The technical in enterprise operations on the east coast on the west coast seattle. I manage our sports entertainment stakeholders and make sure that they have what they need from a technology perspective. So you know most people when they watch a form of entertainment. Whether it's sports live television some of the their movie. They don't really think about how much technology that is behind it to get it going or the takes us support and deliver that content and so i always describe it when people ask me because the last simple questions. Can you send me this file. And of course we know that email im- oxus have limits. Anyone who's ever tried to upload. A video understands that network speed has a big time factor in transporting goods. Talk about what it takes to support the business that you run. Because you guys are moving files of unimaginable size like and it's got to be in real time and it's streaming and all these things have to happen talk about what you have to plan for as the cio to support all this data that you're going to flow and unlike other industries by the way there's no like oh if it gets to me overnight it's cool i mean right. I'm watching a game. You need to get this to me. Garrett in real time that'd be reliable. Expect no drops. Yeah for sure. And that's our business over a medium broadcast company that were trying to Make that experience impeccable for our viewers and then our with all of our direct consumer digital offerings again trying to make that that experience world class it in terms of the technology. That's long you're right. I mean it's you know the the file size of gotten enormous the processing of this data and making sure you have the bandwidth satellite up links. All handled all of that stuff managed properly. Everything that's being distributed over ip making sure that that goes smoothly. I think one of the things that box focuses on compared to a lot of our competitors is we're all about what we say is the power of now which is power live television and it's a whole different ballgame setting a file or streaming something. That's coming out of authority films versus being a stadium Having drones flying around that stadium putting on a live event and having that feed out over broadcast network to all of our distributors in all the cable packages also over the over the internet. In how that all happened with low latency with with great reliability so we put a great experience out there for the consumer and really maximizing the advertising. We can do on those on those on those events. So i think you're right it's it's very challenging in it's our business But then on top of that. If you go to the live in focus on live it gets even more challenging. I think fox is really does that well compared to our competitors we really focus on that so talk a little bit about how you even plan for something like this because you know i'm i'm curious because it's kind of like a chicken or egg kind of deal i feel like camera. Technology improves resolution. Technology improves and than tv's improve. But in order for you to take advantage of all this your infrastructure has to support it right. So what happens. I you build infrastructure. And then then when someone launches the eight k camera or eight vision you'll be like oh we can take advantage of that or does someone have to invent the technology and they. Oh geez we have to do something to support that because obviously high def four k. tv. That wasn't around ten years ago but now it's here and then we already. You already know plenty of customers. Want to see their content in that resolution. Yeah it's great question. I think you know one of the things that happened in the medium broadcast world and again. This is my. My focus is on enterprise technology. I have my my colleagues that i work with who manage our median broadcast operation but within.

"When i hear. The song is paul blurred. That's a great movie. Very underrated. communicate sleeper It is it's so good but now that's going to be great in my head is docked jamming out as we come back in. Welcome in to brew. Talk on this wednesday evening Let's talk about this some traditional. Ip's fellows i ask you this question quite a bit. I'm going to ask it again. Where does this rank as a beer. Category for you guys It's got to be up there at the top for me. That's your favorite one. This is like number three or four for me. It's a it's in my go-to wheelhouse. So i really enjoy the bitterness. The the hoppy character and stuff like that but You kind of have to pace yourself if you go a little too much on this. Then you get sleepy the hops you know causing you to get a little bit sleepy in the behind the scenes kind of approach but so all the way at the top It really is. It's the style that that i've been drinking for a long time and Older it's not so much the sleepiness but sometimes the hop soul if it's too much Instant heartburn co so Show working it's an old man. What about you. As long as i have my This is climate for me. I didn't use to like these at all. But it's definitely that traditional west coast. Ip as definitely climbing up my list. I don't know if it cracks top five it's probably closing in there but It's definitely a very good style. Let's let's see we get his phone to work here Let's see if we get some better connection. Graham hurst with the brewers mclellan's bring company Joining us Graham west coast traditional. Ipa's where do they rank on your style beard. I love them. I mean i. I really am a big fan of lots of ip field but you know it was my person. Inductions american craft was the west coast ip And news little bit fever because new young up and coming night as they're pulling the heads there in the corner. But i you know sierra nevada i think the she's just you know i always have a six pack ridge. I think this style for everybody. what are your thoughts on on some of these new hazy. Ipa's illness i think he's i think he's a high at the moment. I think it's all going to be too expensive. That people are trying to pitch that style too far into looking like an orange spots at. There's still a great ones there And you know the guys down in greeley like Wiley and you know really really leading the way. They're so I do. I do kinda cheekily wang them up every time. See him about About the bts they're drinkable they're nice Not necessarily my top ten list of styles but Something hands mcconnell to jeweler anything when you Graham when you lie to you does your does your voice get High pitched trying to find the most politically correct answer to that question. You could and i respect that. I respect that but yeah i mean i. It wouldn't be i ip menu. But you know. I i understand is fun but i'm pretty old school. You know like to be able to see through might be you're supposed to You know that kind of stuff but at the same time if you want to drink and it gets them things the dark side of crappy bring You know that's just one boston. So that's cool man. Yeah grandma We were just talking a lot of people. I don't know if they know this about you guys but you guys always keep a couple of cascales on already. I believe we have six On the go any one time and one of them probably the big seller is an ip. Ed it just happens to be a very old satellite. It's a recipe dates back to eighteen eighty five From during our times. Actually i find myself but yeah so. We have the six casket engines on anyone tighten. Some of them are surprised. You can actually do with cask. What's the difference in brewing from Bar brewing just a normal beer in cask ale. Well i mean literally is just a container just serving. It just happens that we don't call up so the brewing process is almost exactly the same until we put into into the cast. Then we just leave a little bit yeast in there. He's the sugar. Here's a national effervescence Which is more like nitro which actually was created to emulate casks so Yes it a much smoother. Drink and Because let gasping you can drink more. Yeah of course. responsibly get there. What's been the most fun beer that you've brewed in the last year. So oh well We actually have fun one. That's going to have a very limited release in november. it's it's i mean an imperial. We heavy so it's a nine percent scott style We actually age dot in Hill bradford's bourbon barrels Yeah so just moved. They're going to do limited release for special guest list. Yeah makes you their samples for you guys. I love it love it. It's yeah. I mean it's a solid. I just love the coolest style from the accent. I do like that style. Do you think you know mclellan's and yourself have you found the niche that you're looking for when it comes to beer that you make well. I'm to be honest. I think You know We tend to uk style a little bit more traditional but the The colorado beer-drinkers are so passionate. The you know they're willing to try new things that are quite brought. Shall we say but But yeah i do think there's many places outside of uk where you can Introduced cat scale of so Yeah it's that question but you know what i mean. I completely understand it. Just okay the here. let me let me. If it's bad question. I'll take the blame on every brewery like you mentioned the weld works. Why the roots. They're known for a certain beer. Wha what is yours. I mean is it the cask.

"He's the go he's look people were saying about you. I mean he'll pull up in your comments with his little troll followers blade outright and it was like buddy buddy with him along in. Why would you say this on twitter. When i was last on there is a lot of negative on there now. That was showing their teeth. When donald trump won the presidency in that do do was one of them and they all were white house. Ornate slipped tat. Nope do they was also in eighteen now all of a sudden they pro black us. I've forgot buddy buddy with kurdish the the ricky von motherfucker and people just straight up coenen strike up showing eighteen tapping and i was like wait a minute. I'm trying to change the identity now all of sudden here but let you do it. And when i started noticing was a lot of the people they were not on twitter back but they don't remember they don't know what i'm saying i'm saying that because i heard ato's it was on actually in person was at my house. San eidos smells like withheld. Saito's and that's what i it all face but in Learned about who yvette carnell in all of them was never seen it on twitter until recently. And that's why. I didn't even know it was like really colt thing until i got into like more pro black Previous account wasn't in as many pro black Spaces for whatever reason But it was like a whole lot of of people like Like q. rate that kind of stuff. It wasn't like professor isn't shit like a follow now. I have mostly hip hop shit tom. I had a hip hop publication. So that's what. I was focused on. So i didn't even know anal should exist Gotten my other account bands. And i opened up mike star media. And that's when. I started seeing all his adl shape and i was like what i never even heard of. It really had that one who mentioned it in Was lear just let it go. Could associate somebody made a and being away and being in. La you always ran. In beijing circles ibm ibm limited part. Slimmer park Those who don't know that's like people. I'll call ho- taps that's definitely must basic project blows the hip hop space. But then they're kinda like on the you know pro black canary Pan african type shade. Our earth oh well as long as i've known since the nineties i've been out here swin that so that's kind of known for so those spaces you know our here all types of shit so i will hear you might hear somebody say some new term to black american right a nubian or some shit. There's always something new. Turner a more american or. I'm a more i'd just so you know. American incident a slaying saying senator or african slavery. Whatever it's called Saying the term. And i was just like okay just you could just say black. You don't have to thin this term. But like i said it didn't mean anything to me i go online and see like it's literally a cult. The point where people are like tagging the demanding that i say that i'm eidos got it control and and that's the part because leg all good movements started out absolutely very promising saying they would. They were about they've been. This amazing is connected. All it takes us for a few of them start coming in connected with certain type of politics and i started noticing. How a lot of started off right wing politics based on the fact that they don't like caribbean immigrants That one guy. I'm not gonna say his name. That guy was calling m okay conservatives is using these different I saw a guy. I was on there and he was talking about how it was going to snitch on the people at this job because they hired a bunch of mexicans so he was gonna call ice and my whole thing is this i mean i. I'm the street. So i was like regarding thing. I didn't tell nobody shit. You know what i'm saying to people because they got jobs at the end of the day. You don't even like the job. And i asked the dude i said. What kind of job isn't it was some type of warehouse job but it was making below minimum wage. I said nikki. You mean to begin a better job any fucking shit saying telling nobody. Fuck eddie is funny to me. That's another conversation. When i kinda wanna go there because it really does irritate me. The way that we have very dishonest conversations around immigration. Cause me wrong as a person who worked in healthcare in la tell you. Immigrants latino immigrants in l. a. are racist fuck especially in the healthcare industry right and i don't think and at the same time i'm not appear trying to turn in some team. Oh family because they you know they over here undocumented girl like that and then being here bigger as as a black person. You've got way bigger resources. If they're taking away aren't mine and not even taking it away. They're being given and on top of that most of the ship that We have now. I won't even know exists like we should be focused on folk to meet focusing on. What do we have access to encounter. We get that to our people because there is that that exists in. We just don't know about it. I know because that was my job trying to get it to people so they can learn more about it or think about okay. All there's a job where you can do outreach to teach african americans that they have access to these type of resources. No nobody's doing that. There's money to latino community to do that is not one of the black community. Do that but black people. Sales aren't even focused on how we grow that. Ben focused on lethal latinos over there. And what they doing hockey watching worried about what somebody else doing accents supposed to do. And like our mario said in essence and in the beginning the movement was a great thing because it was based on facts it was based on forward thinking and doing something tangible. What happens is just like any other gang or religion you get the knuckleheads involved and the knuckleheads get in good love. 'cause knuckleheads are gonna have nothing to do but talk. That's all they're gonna. Do you know what i'm saying. They're gonna keep talking. Keep talking do nothing tangible and the people that are actually doing the work that i didn't support them because look what had been started beeping with your on tone talk. Won't we'll just change the name and all this other kind of shit know what i'm saying. It's like okay. You guys really don't want this. You guys want something else. Which is ninety percent attention base.

"This is my first time doing it. You know especially with the magical better. I used to the old school way. So raid different than how it was for starting out because this day. You can't come to my house if you had. Gps on your phone right. it's crazy. how things have changed can take no pictures. You can do nothing. Because i wasn't trying to get caught up. Yeah well and. I don't know if i mentioned i'm originally from mississippi. So a lot of my yeah. A lot of my Early days with cannabis was very nerve. Wracking time Had lots of friends that got busted with pipes in their cars or whatever simple things because that's how the police liked to get you will in mississippi like to get you in your car. Getting you and your home is a little harder but getting you to pull over during a sobriety test in saying oh something weird and then that turns into you know having your car stripped out and you're sitting on the side of the road just wondering if you're about to go to jail or not it sounds like you can relate to that experience. Yeah he's who he wanted out there delores understand abs- absolutely and it's we're getting into a generation of folks now that really can't relate to that things have changed so much over the past even five years even even in states where things are still very strict 'em especially with him and cbd. Now it's just it's just a different totally different world and so a lot of kids these days really don't have the appreciation for what folks went through not that long ago Risking a lot right just to just to interact with the plant a little bit and you know in and have the this relationship within Yeah i mean it's it's when you mentioned you went into atlanta my head just immediately start spinning about all of my stories. I have about the southeast Like yourself. I made myself a move to the west coast. I decided that a little better. But yeah and that's and maybe that's an encouraging thing that things have changed that much that people are have trouble relating to two stories like that. Because i certainly want to see the ending. The war on drugs is just such a i mean. It's it's the machine that feeds the system that steals ability to to you know to get business.
