"Mojo in the morning. Show your home of the phone. Scams the war of the roses and shannon's dirty on the thirty. We were supposed to go for dinner over the weekend to this restaurant. That is really hard to get into actually shannon. You did go to this restaurant. I know on friday and And we had reservations on Saturday and it took like a month and a half or something like that to get a reservation to this place which i to be perfectly honest with you. I am not a restaurant or no matter how much i looked like one to me. You like lee is the word you like to go to the same. I'm not a foodie. I would much rather eat at applebee's red robin or pf changs than eat at some some new restaurant. Because i'm one of those people that i like to know what i'm going to get you know like what's the thing and this was a a restaurant that is It i guess is doing really well. It's one of those farm-to-table type restaurants you know so to speak. i guess. I don't even know what that means. I thought everything comes from afar. Goes right to your table is doesn't reservation by the way is because a couple of months ago my friend. Tiff like randomly sign opening on their website. And she just booked it for four people not even knowing who she was going to bring with. Her invited invited us to calm with our the restaurants. I live in west bloomfield restaurants. Not that far from my house. It's called sylvan table. It's in like an old barn grow a lot of their food on site but yet is all very like fresh farm-to-table so saturday night. We were to go out with some friends who made reservations and then asked us if we would like to join them in chelsea is one of those ones that you know. She likes to eat different places which is just want to eight the same thing all the time. We don't ask pretty much from three restaurants all the time and it's the same three restaurants and so she was kind of like us cool so i kinda was looking forward to it. It was going to be nice. And then on saturday afternoon we got a phone call around one o'clock that are friends that he was under the weather not feeling well and he didn't want to. You know expose us to whatever he might have had a in to be quite honest with you. He probably was exhausted and saturday. They wanna go out. but You know chelsea goes okay. No problem are great. She goes well. We're off the hook. No dinner tonight. And i go in normally chelsea would look at me on time like that and say oh my god look how excited he is..

"Frank Beckmann Show News Talk 7 60 wjr. Welcome back into the program, Everybody the spot where we keep you the best informed audience and all of radio talk about all the issues with you and 808 590957, and we're doing that again as we kick off this this brand new week. And let's get to the phones here in West Bloomfield right now, Steve, you're gonna lead off this section of the show. Good morning to you, sir. Young man. I'm very good. Thank you for the compliment. Oh, you know, I don't even know where to start. You hit a couple of very interesting points just before you want to, uh, went to the two breaks. Um, first one that that you hit was was regarding the power grid. All right, Jo Jo y turning over some access to the Chinese break gap me for a number of years has been in front of Congress trying to explain to, uh explain to our in quotes, leaders why we need to hard in the power grid. And why it is so important when he was when he was talking to Congress and trying to get them the hard part of the power grid. It was over and E M P attack. And what would potentially happen if, in fact we were. We were the recipient of any M P s. P by the way for people who don't know his electromagnetic pulse and that would wipe out our electrical system. Right? Uh, the percentages that they that he was he was he was estimating would be a 90% fall out rate, meaning 90% of the population of the United States would be dead within 12 months for various reasons, if in fact something like that, where they happen. What makes what makes him stop. It should stop someone called Eyes thinking that Joe Biden is going to give instead of receiving the MP attack is going to give is going to give one of our Enemies. Key to come in without an attack and just shut the power off at will. I don't understand why it is It's daunting when you listen to these people that talk about And any mode on why it is that they could not vote for Donald Trump. Because he didn't They didn't like the way part of his hair or because you didn't wear a mask or because it was Tuesday, and the sun came up. Degree off of where normally should APS don't care about your feelings. And if you're not Adult enough to educate yourself between the two candidates that were that we have foisted on us, then you probably shouldn't bother going into the voting booth begin with because you have a responsibility to not only yourself. But those of us that are stuck with this bag of dung that you leave us with when you elect someone like a Joe Biden, aura, Kamala Harris or Gretchen Whitmer or whatever. When they tell you they're going to do something you probably ought to believe them and possibly look towards Weren't not worrying about whether or not your feelings or get hurt. It's what's going to be best for you in the long run, and for our country, Steve, let's face it. I mean, was it getting into the Paris climate accord again is absolutely absurd. It's not going to do anything to help our country and to allow the Chinese. Any access to our electrical grid here in the United States to me is an absolute threat to our national security. The Chinese Just unleashed this great virus on us. And what are they going to do if they have control of our electrical system, too? As they have control of many of the drugs that we manufacture here because they've allowed them offshore drug manufacturing. Here it is. This thing collectively is getting worse in worse now, in in the idea that That we don't pay attention to what they say they're going to do and think all they would never do that, or in fact, they're starting to do it keeps Don't pipeline being one of them. Now we haven't seen the increase in in in prices and fuel at the gasoline pump or the overall cost of living. But what is gonna happen is if these lawsuits from the Utes don't don't come through or the various states don't come through or happiness. We'll still get oil out of Canada. But it's going to come in on rail cars. It's gonna come in on trucks. Something far less safe. And you're still gonna have the better part of of 10 to 20,000 people that are unemployed, wondering what the heck they could do what they can all go do according to Hillary Clinton become programmers. I just They think the it's more ironic for anyone to sit back and sit there and look at something and say Well, and I'm not picking on Joe. He didn't wear a mask, so in good conscience. Dot dot dot Well, doc that that should be just don't go to the polling station and don't and don't pull the lever for someone who's going to be detrimental to the country. I don't get it, Frank. You know, as a matter of fact, after all of his warnings about the virus and protecting yourself and all of that he was walking around the capital the day of his inauguration without a mascot. So you know you gotta follow your own your own rules and guidelines, I think and He's gonna have to pick up on that going forward. Well, he had one would hold one would hope But you know the public is is myopic as it relates that and they're in there and they don't think past their nose, although I do have a way to salvage the Keystone pipeline. If if anybody would care to hear this house that the owners of the Keystone Pipeline in the Canadian government just need to go to Joe and say, OK, what's the percentage kicked back that you want us to send a hunter? So that we can keep this thing open, get his number. Added to this added to the bottom line, and I think you probably find that he's gonna have a turnaround and keeping the Keystone Pipeline over. Yes, Steve, I'd like to say that you're that you're using.

Grade schools ban Uber Eats, GrubHub deliveries during school day
"Of packing lunches, many high school students now pack their cell phones ordering food delivered to their school with apps liked grub hub door dash and Uber eats the deliveries have become so frequent and disruptive that many schools have banned them. Pat Watson is the principal at west Bloomfield high school in west Bloomfield Township Michigan he said, quote, it was getting to the point where you'd have eight ten fifteen deliveries a day. It's a building policy. You can't have food delivered during the school day unquote, other schools have done the same thing. School officials have addressed the issue in states from California to Florida. Diane Blaine is spokeswoman for Chippewa valley schools in Macomb County Michigan which is north of Detroit. She said, quote, we view it as a safety concern. Having strangers and people that we don't know coming to our buildings with delivery bags. We just don't allow it. I'm quote, Blaine said, the district's Dakota high school band the practice about three years ago, and it's other high school Chippewa valley followed suit some schools have policies explicitly prohibiting it others frown on it. But don't formally van. It all them say the practice has exploded with cell phone use. And the proliferation of delivery services, high school students are the only ones who order food deliveries to school. That's according to Jeff huger assistant manager of the jets pizza about a mile north of west Bloomfield high. He said that some students in elementary school. We'll have pizza delivered for lunch. I mean, it sure beats a carton of milk in some cafeteria pizza. Huger said, quote, the parents will call and say my kids lunches at noon, can you deliver a pizza to the office and maybe throw in a bottle of water, unquote. Looser good. They're staying hydrated. Parents typically pay what the credit card or through the jets app on their phone. The delivery driver will bring plates. Napkins if requested. Jets charges three dollars and fifty cents for delivery compared with four dollars for grub hub. He said that his pizza places across the street from a middle school and a prep school. In addition to two nearby elementary schools. He said all of them are good for business. He also mentioned that teachers are known to order pie for lunches. Well, that's what I was going to say is going to say the ban on this seems like it would hurt teachers more than students whose poor teachers. They just want to have pizza delivered to their teachers lounge. But now now students of even ruined that for them. Poor things they work really hard to wouldn't it be nice for them to just be able to do not have to run out and drive somewhere. Go through the drive thru not all the schools in the same area addressed the delivery issue in the same manner. The Plymouth canton school district just northeast of an Arbor Michigan, which operates three high schools in one location does not have a formal policy about food deliveries. But the building procedures don't allow it said spokesman, Nick, Brandon he said that the main reason for the ban of school safety, but there are other reasons as well Brennan said quote, the second that food enters the school office. It becomes the school offices responsibility, unquote. He added that it created concerns of food safety foodborne illnesses and allergic reactions. He said, quote, it's also overclouded issue for office personnel. If they're having to manage multiple food orders at a given lunchtime. With all the other things they have to be responsible for that's a concern as well on quilt. Brandon said that the district works hard to provide healthy good tasting food and. Cafeterias and students are always free to Brown bag it the principal at west Bloomfield said deliveries aren't always on time. Tardy deliveries made for tardy students. Watson said, quote, it's supposed to be here at twelve and my lunches done at twelve thirty now shows up at twelve thirty five so no I haven't gotten to class. But now, I've got my Panara, and I go to class to eat in their unquote Watson's at teachers object to kids eating class. But the students would complain it wasn't their fault that the delivery was late Watson also has heard plenty of excuses for why an order was placed. What's instead quilt kids say, oh, my mom forgot to put money on my lunch account. He said that one student claimed a cousin ordered it for him not knowing it wasn't allowed Watson said that claims seemed doubtful when the delivery driver knew the student's name. The school does allow deliveries to school after class end so students staying after school for a sport or other extracurricular activity can order all they want. He said what's said, quote, when I was in high school, we knew to pack two lunches one for lunch and one for after school, I guess the new normal as you whip out your cell phone and order some food unquote cell phones have become so pervasive in high schools that Watson has used them to his own advantage. When he wanted to remind kids of the no food orders during school hours policy. He sent it out in a tweet just goes to show that if your parents really love you they'd take you to Pinera the night before. Give you

I said west Bloomfield, which is at city within Oakland County. And let me just tell you about Oakland County, none of those Jews live anywhere but was field in Bloomfield hills. So the fact that made forty one in a county, that's really just wasp. I was only saying west Bloomfield, which is a city could. Counties and independent cities as of two thousand eleven but you're naming counties. Oakland does probably I didn't hear any cities. I know because those are probably the ones with the highest population. I don't know. I don't know. But I don't think you're right earmark. This though, we gotta do cities. Okay. Because that was my claim. I know you hate me. You hate me very much, no way. There's more Jewish people. Then in one of the cities in Rockland county. Then like, there's just no way. That's what you're saying. But I don't know that that's true. If there's twenty nine point three percent Jewish people in that whole county. There's a city within it. But I'm telling you that I think that was Bloomfield's over fifty percent Jewish. Okay. Unruly so managers. I can't I I won't be able to find that. This is the best attested. We're gonna have the reasonable conclusion is that's not that's not the reasonable conclusion. Because this number one county could have Jews spread all throughout the county. But I'm telling you Oakland County doesn't have juice flows. Read all throughout Oakland County. It's primarily just in west Bloomfield in Bloomfield hills K, we'll do more digging. Okay. We can't very well. Still be right. Literally forty one on the list compared to all these other mainly all these New York counties, Phil super possible. Some telling you that just those two cities tip the whole county up into the top fifty. So yeah, I think it's still possible. Would love if we could disagree about this nut Madam. I am not mad is just on this. I'm researching I'm I'm typing and all the stuff that at some point west Bloomfield would have come up in my research. Probably if that were true, I don't I don't know. I don't know what you've you search counties or cities or that's fine. Yeah. We can we can keep looking for the okay, I read is right though, that he said, dear we're Michigan's most Arab city in the country. The city's population includes forty thousand era Americans her the two thousand centers air Americans total twenty nine thousand one hundred eighty one or twenty nine point eight five percent of Dearborn population the city has largest proportion of Arab Americans in the United States. So he's right about that. I'm not shocked. He's very smart. Yes. Oh, it's a higher bar like he's on MPR..

"But I share that with you because I'm from a community right next to west Bloomfield, Michigan, which is super dense population Jewish people. So I assumed that the every suburb was yeah. My ex wife was from exactly there. I know exactly that area. Yeah. Yeah. We are told that it's the second high. Concentration outside of Israel. I don't know if that's true. But that's certainly what we're told Monaco factor of Jews west Bloomfield. Look, you seem very suspicious percentage. Her capita did not share numbers. That's got to be New York by sheer numbers. Gotta be New York. Yeah. Yeah. So. For fact, checking we'll see a few claims in my childhood. We also were the blackest city in the country. Detroi- was ninety two percent black when I was growing up. It was the highest estimates era city in the country. Yes, something like that Dearborn is actually brand is the most. She's the most everything I think it means that we're very compartmentalized in Detroit in its, but your mother, so I think we I've ever met your mother, nor of even really heard you talk about her much. But I think we also share in common very strong mothers. Is that accurate? Yes. Yeah. When I was in middle school. She became a psychologist in the sixties writers middle school Sally early seventies. Yeah. And then she was colleges. She got her PHD. She became a researcher. She wrote a book about extramarital affairs, researched did Survey Research with people about affairs, but then also would see couples especially in her practice and had a whole theory actually about something. That was changing I'm interested in this paradoxical way of living. We've chosen of monogamy. Yeah. My mom discovered. That was that was new at the time was with those found through survey data that she did. I'm and then seeing it in. Practice. The quickest way to summarize it is that people have affairs who weren't unhappy in their marriage, which if you think about it, of course, that's true for some people. But just finding a significant percentage of the man a smaller percentage of the women, and what was going on in the seventies. When she was doing this research was that more and more women were in the workplace as equals to men and so enter practice people come in and people would say like I happy in my marriage. But like you spend ten hours a day with somebody at your office, and you get closer and closer to them. And then, you know, then stuff happens and then without them having meant to when they began that process. And so that was part of what she was saying and it had like clinical application because what would happen when you went into therapist back. Then if you went in and said like why cheated on my partner, but I wanna stay with my partner the thing that therapists would talk about is what's wrong with your marriage. And like I can't remember exact numbers. But it's like a third of the cases with the men. Nothing's wrong with marriage. They're happy with marriage only by trying to talk about what you're doing. That's like. Annoying. You you can always find something. And like, and it was just sending people down the wrong path was the right pass. You're saying was the lying like, basically, you know, you lied to your partner. It's completely traumatic for the person you're with and that's the actual problem. The couple has if they want to get back together that should be front and center for for these couples, the other thing, she said was that she she was very strong that she said the point at which you've cheated is not when you kiss for the first time, and she says, a very specific moment in the cases, she was saying, and she's like, that's when you cross the line, and she could name it. And it's so usable as thing that really carried it with me. And it's the moment when you can fide in the other person about your partner. Yeah. It's like a suit as you can find in one about the other that person's your primary person soon as you're telling the person at work. Well, my wife's kind of driving me crazy or whatever at that point. You've crossed the line, and you broken your vow kissing is just like that's just gonna come. Sure. And and actually operationally. Actually, very concrete because you can just be like if you feel yourself start to do that. You stop yourself. If you wanna stay with your partner, and it's just a really good role of thumb..
