"I was gonna do it. I probably should do it. I got a lot of great tax and I'll try to read some of those. So let me refresh. Let's get the latest update numbers on our show poll today Confined it Twitter at 6 20 wtmj or at WTMJ, Steve right now about 50% of people say 10 minutes is there Is there drop dead number? You know that's right in the middle, and I'm I guess I would Would wait that because I definitely would wait that long. If I gone through place my order and paid and they were going to run it out to me. I'd wait 10 minutes for, although 30% say five minutes that's pretty quick. Right? I mean, this is before you order, by the way, so not there's a couple places. I didn't want to make this too. To us straight here, But there are places where you go in the drive to your trap. There. There's one down the street. Here you are. Once you're in the line, you're done. You can never get it out until they let you out. Okay? I'm not a fan. I try to avoid those places. I did have to set my girlfriend and I we always stop by a place on our way up to her cabin. And we got stuck. And it was pretty irritating. Getting your chili cheese fries for the cab. Uh, no, I was I was we were. I don't know where we went, but we got a sandwich and it was just like brutal. All right, Jordan. What you have to say, I'm thinking what you said about drive throughs where you can escape. Always wonder what if somebody gets a flat tire in Milo's things where you can't back out? Well, maybe you can back out if everybody just at some point, they gotta clear it out. Somehow they got a nudge it out or get out of my car and start directing traffic. Well, here's Here's another kind of expansion of my original question. Would you as you're waiting there and it gets to be 10 minutes, which beep your horn. No, really. I don't want to be one of us has happened. No. What's what's that gonna accomplish, though, that I never understood that. What's that going to accomplish? Just Hey, I'm here and I'm mad. I'm mad about you. Well, then, would you take it out on the people that you eventually take your food in your order? Me like, what the hell's taking so long? That's what I do. I go. All right. What's up? What's the What's the problem? And in almost nine times out of 10 1 of the customers changed their order was uncertain about their order. That's almost always what it is. You know what? Here's my deal. On guy could be completely outrageously wrong and not good about this. But the thing is, is that I if you mess up your order Get out of line and go around and get back in line and get what you want. Don't sit there at the window and make everybody else wait for you as you change your order. If you get it wrong, you got to start all over again. That's another thing. There are people that because they're not happy they will camp out in the line of the refused to move. Yes. That happens on the window. Hey. They get in. They take the line hostages since the moment Um, let's see a couple texts here. Well, here's this is real. If you leave, you're both mad and hungry. True. Right, But you know, here's the deal is that there's always another place right down the road. How many times have you seen just one fast Food restaurant just sitting on a big stretch. It doesn't happen. They're all over the place. You can find another one or go park your car, and I know this is not this defeats the purpose of the drive thru get out of your car and go in because they're good service much quicker because there's nobody in there. Here's one I go to a burger King in West Bend the only one in West Bend. Yes, And they have a lady that can only really do one order of the time. I've mentioned this to management. Nothing has been done. I've given off several times as Jeff U. S Navy retired. Thanks for service, Jeff. Yeah, I mean, You don't want to come down. I mean, they're not making a ton of money doing that job. No, not at all. But don't you agree? When they're good at it? They're good at it. There. There's some of these kids and seniors are just amazing at doing their job. Cranking it out. Yes. I can tell you right now. I could order a Jimmy Johns and I'd have something in my hand in about 10 minutes. You're fast so that they're super quick. Somehow they make your sandwich before you ever ordered it. How did they do that? They just know that some sort of a sensing thing, right? I walk in they eye scan you. They already know what you're gonna have. Well, I used the app for Jimmy Johnson. I ordered the same thing every single time. So I just go. Yeah. Reorder if only you could have that broken chicken delivered to your house. Yeah. Maybe I'd never leave the house. This is not doing that now. This was not really related to what we're talking about, but emergency bathroom situation and drive through. Not good. Oh, Lord, Can you imagine anything worse? You're going def Con five and you can get it. Get any car. That's that's a detail on job. Don't want we're gonna break. How would you feel after you wait in the drive through for your order, Got your order and it's not prepared properly. That's a problem. And you've already paid for. It happens way too often. I then you are held hostage to the fact that you gotta park your car and go in and just say this is wrong. And once again, it defeats the purpose of the drive thru because people don't want to get out. That's a that's a safety zone. You know for people right now, with the pandemic. It's a safety zone. All right. Rick from marble will read this before we go to break. You guys realize that all this grousing is going to change anything. It's like telling people to driving in the fast lane left lane. They're going too slow. No, it's not going to do anything. It's just that I think people listen..

"So very glad to have you with us such interesting times you know I I mentioned yesterday that I I went to the department of motor vehicles in in west bend the deal was my driver's license was due to expire in in a couple months for my birthday and so I I needed to get a new drivers license it wasn't just the the idea you could send in the money and renew it I also wanted to get that real ID driver's license because the way it stands now starting in October if you want to fly you need to have a you wanna use your driver's license for TSA purposes it has to have that star on the top of it it has to be you the the real ID no I don't need one of those because I have a passport and I've got a global entry card but I I wanted to see what the process was so that you know we could talk about it so yeah I could talk about it that's that was that the whole idea so remember my renewal stuff came a couple weeks ago and and and actually the DMV it couldn't have been easier to work with I got it I went online and made an appointment at the west bend office for yesterday morning at nine o'clock you know that they tell you what you need to bring if you want the real ID there is you have to you just have to take a moment to prepare it because what you have to do is you have to come in with proof of citizenship either a certified copy of her birth certificate wore a passport you have a passport I don't expect passport brought that you have to have your social security card were some of the reprove sort of thing has your social security number so no problem at my social security card and then in my case at least since my address was different than it was eight years ago you had to have like a utility bill or something for proof of address so it took me three minutes the simple all the stuff about the west bend I was kind of curious as to with all these closures really gonna keep at the DMV open or not and got their five minutes tonight ten minutes to nine had my appointment they they got to me right away I was out of there by ten minutes after nine so it couldn't be easier and I've got my little certificate and they say they're going to send your driver's license you get in the mail in five to ten business days so that's fine but obviously my time was okay because yesterday afternoon I saw that governor Eberts has decided and and it it's kind of like this expanding thing and that's if I would be critical of the way the governor's handled this it would be the kind of whack a mole approach that we've had the closures you know one day it's five hundred then the next day it's gatherings of fifty okay the restaurant's figure we can stay open would just limit then the next day it it's ten and then we have okay well child care could stay open and then the next day it's no we're not gonna let child care child care could stay open but only if there is a limited number of kids that are there it's such a it's such a well it was interesting because like I said if they left the DMV open well yesterday afternoon they announced that the DMV's would be closing for cleaning on Friday and then when they re open they will re open only for very limited purpose for at least in person servicing what they said is that the to do what I want to do if you were to get renew your driver's license you're not going to be able to do that you know in person or and what they said was please keep driving with your old driver's license will be good for an extra sixty days but they're only going to be open for very very limited purposes so in this case I they did a great job my my my timing was fine but again what we're starting to see the these closings just ratchet up more and more one of the things that we discussed yesterday was in some of these businesses were even though they're not dealing with large numbers of people what what do you do if you are a massage therapist what do you do if you are a barber or hairdresser who had a really interesting segment yesterday but you know what what what do people do it and what if you have a situation where let's say your barber your hairdresser you know works in a very small salons whose only maybe two or three stylists or whatever that are there so you're not going to exceed the numbers but did you want to talk about something where you really do have close contact you're not maintaining that that six foot social distance if you got somebody that's cutting your hair washing your whatever you know how it is that you know how do you balance all that out so there's all those different things that are going on and then there's the big picture stuff summer fest is late June now I happen to think here we are in in mid March I don't think just like we didn't know two months ago where we would be today I think it's very difficult to know with certainty we're going to be two weeks from now four weeks from now or three months from now but you mean you do have to make contingency things but my understanding is there was a meeting of the summer passport today and they were discussing all the various options that are out there saying okay what what what what happens if this this goes on and on and in some respects our perspective of summer fest they you can have the best plans in the world but if you have all these acts that you've booked all these bands that you've booked and they decide that they're canceling their tours well okay what what are you going to do it there's not much control that you have so they're considering all sorts of alternatives now like I say there's there's a time limit you need you've got now it's March Summerfest doesn't kick off till June so you've got some time to let this thing all play out but I mean they're they're trying to be proactive with this I I listen to a lot of music on the radio when I'm driving around and not listening to talk radio there's not too much on sports radio right now so what what I end up doing is I I you hear about these different performers and artists who are at least canceling the spring legs of of their tour right now it's too soon I think to make any definitive decisions about summer fast but you know all these different businesses are trying to decide how do we how do we proceed and kind of taking it day to day which is I think the way that we have to proceed all right we'll take a quick break when we come back I want to talk about the business impact of this because I side from the health issue and obviously you don't want to get it you don't want people you know to get corona virus but you know the other affected this you've got people who are getting sick that's a big deal but you have people who are losing their jobs were being laid off you have businesses that are being just economically devastated we're going to talk about that aspect of the story just a couple minutes please don't go anywhere it's Jeff Wagner W. T. M. J. don't go anywhere Jeff Wagner is back right after this Hey WTMJ fast help contribute to our shows call the accu that mortgage.

Buy the bullet: global defence spending
"Hello and welcome to the intelligence on economist radio. I'm your host. Jason Palmer every weekday. We provide a fresh perspective on the events shaping your world. The first of may brings out protesters all over the globe campaigning for better labor conditions. But in France weekly demonstrations by the so-called issue lay zone have been going on for months. Yesterday's mayday gatherings. Brought out a violent fringe that threatens the Jones message and president of annual Macron's attempts to address it. And we take a look at a new study that tries to measure, which English speaking country produces the most bullshit. But I. Last week. China's navy celebrated its seventieth birthday in grand style. As president Xi Jinping peered through binoculars into rain and mist a flotilla swept through the South China Sea. Nine. Winds there. What this moving you. Rose of white clouds, sailors stood on worships and saluted Mr. g who was aboard a brand new destroyer China has also boasted of its nuclear submarines and says it's building a new aircraft carrier America sees China as a growing rival, not just a military threat, but also economic one and the contest is being felt by America's closest allies in Britain yesterday. Gavin Williamson the Defense Secretary was fired by Prime Minister, Theresa may. He was accused of leaking details of how the country plans to let hallway a Chinese tech firm. Build part of its future five g mobile phone network. In response to that plan. America has threatened to cut back intelligence sharing with Britain. Beyond this America and China are leading the world in rearmament race. As a new report makes clear essentially the will to spending enormous sums of money on defense. Shizhong Joshi is economists defense editor this is the report by the Stockholm International Peace Research institute Cypriots Swedish thing Tang, and what it says this year is that global defense spending in twenty eight teen walls one point eight trillion dollars. Now, obviously that's a loss of money to put it in context of just how much it's the highest amount in real terms since sippy began this exercise in nineteen eighty eight and collecting these figures the end of the Cold War. It is seventy six percent higher than nine hundred ninety eight which was the peak of the post Cold War peace dividend when western countries began slashing on forces slashing spending. So you can see just how far we've come in the last twenty years. Also, just how much things have changed geopolitically and who's spending this one point eight trillion dollars, well essentially to. Countries are spending a leading the charge. That's America and China surprisingly America is heading shoulders above everyone else. It will spend about seven hundred sixteen billion dollars this year. That's significant increase from last year it out spends the next eight or so countries combined which gives you a sense of just how far ahead it is. Now, China is well behind spends a fraction of that. But it's military spending growing very quickly. It grew at an average of ten percent every year between two thousand and 2016 between two thousand fourteen in two thousand eighteen churned out. More ships ships with greater tonnage than the entire Indian Japanese navy. So that gives you a sense of just how rapidly they growing. And is this grew spread also among other nations or only American to the growing. It is great will that's provoking response. Particularly in Asia in Asia, for example, with seeing huge spurts among other countries. India for example, now. Spends more than any country in Europe. And I think Indians very proud of the fact that they are outspending not only countries like France, Germany, but also their old, colonial master Britain. Modern and invincible. Of whom stupefaction? Residency is Joel Indian skies ever own words. But Asia, Shirley, isn't the only place where governments want to to be up their defenses. No on Marshall Europeans. Have also been tooling up in recent years. They're obviously very worried by Russia, particularly after Russia's annexation of Crimea in two thousand fourteen they've been spending substantial amounts of quite quickly. If you're one single country its military spending would be four times that have Russia. In fact, it would be the second biggest military power in the world. So back to China, which has been spending money hand over fist as you say. But the their capabilities are still much much weaker compared to America's is there. Some sense of of when China might sort of outpace America will it'll be many many years before it can actually equal American spending. But I would say China gets to concentrate most of its military forces in its front garden in the western Pacific America has global commitments. So could we have a situation where Chinese forces in Asia? Outmatch American forces. Absolutely. We could have that very soon. Indeed. Depending on what America does depending on how China stretches capabilities so beyond America, China is is there anywhere where this would've frenzy of military spending. We'll kind of change the league table. I think we've seen a few changes taking place to Saudi Arabians in the Middle East have been spending huge amounts in the past ten years to the point where they are. Now, the third biggest spender in the world that obviously is going to have a major impact on the Middle East. If you look at Turkey, I think they've also been on a spending spree, and I think in Europe, one of the most interesting countries in eastern Europe, which of course, it's closer to Russia more about Russia's influence, and that's Poland. Police spending has been rising very quickly. They've been buying lots of American weapons, including an American Ed defense system, and they have been at the vanguard of some of this military spending spree in central and eastern Europe that we've seen in recent years. So looking at all these numbers is it's a global trend is everyone spending more. No, I think there's some pretty interesting places. West bending is is shrinking stagnating. The first example is the Middle East. Having said that Saudi Arabia. It was on this spending spree for the last ten years that slowing down. Sippy says that military spending the Middle East shrank by one point eight percent. In two thousand eighteen Saudi Arabia is planning on cutting spending after a number of years of growth, Iran is planning on cutting spending. Although we we don't have data for a few big countries like the United Arab Emirates and Casio. I think Africa's another good example military spending in Africa in two thousand eighteen shrink for the fourth consecutive year. And of course, as we know they're they're big protests in ALgeria and Sudan the military's under pressure from protesters to give way to civilians that could have an impact on on military budgets. I think finally the one I'd like to mention which is really interesting is Russia. Russia has modernized its armed forces over the last decade invested in lots of shiny new weapons. Sippy now says that his slowing. Down at that that boom in Russia is coming to an end. It's calculation say military spending in Russia shrunk by three and a half percent last year. Okay. Some of that could be to do with the fall of the ruble. This little probably spending a lot in ruble, terms. But I think what we all seeing is that the years of Russia plowing money into its military driven by oil that is slowly coming to an end, and that will have an impact, of course, on the European military balance. I mean, it's it's tempting to imagine that more spending on arms makes conflict more likely. There's just simply more more guns and weapons in more hands. What's your take on the Wilbur one really gave us a strong association between alms racing and conflict? We thought the Germans and the British and others competing supremacy. In your building up ships building up weapons and that played a role in contributing to willed, we'll one I think the political science the sort of social science around. This is a bit more complicated. I don't think there is necessarily clear connection between rapid arms racing. And outright conflict. Some people would say actually countries build up weapons, they feel they can deter their adversaries, they feel more secure. They don't feel the need to be vulnerable into lash out. So the association is complicated. What I would say is. I think there's a kind of cycle relationship between mistrust and building homes, the more countries don't trust each other like the US and China over China's island building and in competition in Asia, the more they build up weapons to prepare for the possibility of a clash the more. They build up weapons the less they trust each other. Thank you very much for coming in. Thank you very much.

I I can't I'm out selling residential and commercial properties right now for a Brockton Hagen we came from out in guanaco area. And that's on the eagle area. There's a lot of a lot of snow on the roads. But it's not the plows by any means. It's the weird. Open fields and any religious near where it's blowing yellow they're going to be covered and snowing in their starting up. Yeah. That's gonna be the problem. But at least, you know, the the the cruiser out there, you must be when you when you pull into a parking lot people must be delighted to see you Jacob. You're the plow guy. You're the most popular guy on days like today or yesterday? Yeah. And this is I'm just helping out short-handed staff. So the senior in my normal jazz. But I do enjoy my my dad was actually a you retired from the city of Brooksville and works through Waukesha county highway department for fifteen years, so well, we we thank you. Call jacob. There's no question we on days like yesterday and today and over the weekend. We all appreciate the folks that are driving snowplows sandy in Milwaukee. Sandy or WTMJ, very briefly. I just took my car I'll for exercise 'cause I won't be using it in the next couple of days. And I was surprised I drove mainly the city streets. Right. Everybody was driving about twenty five miles an hour. Lots of room between the cars, nobody passed me going forty five or kitschy miles an hour. So I was very pleased with how everybody was handling everything. And the roads were really not bad. But I can understand if people drive too fast, you lose control. So you took your car out. For exercise some people take their pets out for exercise. You took the car out for exercise thing is I won't be driving for the face. Why didn't you get up earlier and take your puppy out to westbound? Oh, well, they'll be caught extra. No, no, no. Because because the lady who watches her is in a position to take her until tonight. So that's no, no, no don't leave that. And plus plus I mean my goodness gracious. I'm I mean, I just I don't wanna have to I to keep my puppy. So as I possibly can without having to give her up. So no can't lay that went on on me. She'll he's going to watch your Sasha for a couple of days. Curly in Germantown curly, you're WTMJ. Hello, jeff. How're you doing real? Well, thank you. How are the roads out by you just followed a Germantown show plough on northbound on pilgrim road? And he's doing a heck of a good job. Real grateful for WTMJ this morning now. I drive a truck part time from Benami falls up to the town of Mozell north of Sheboygan. Right. And just before I got on I forty three here. I hear that forty three was closed, and I was able to circumnavigate the you're on port Washington road. Right. Back though, I could see indentations in the snow banks all the way south on forty three. Every quarter mile look like somebody had gone in. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's I mean, thanks to call. I mean, again, that's and I learned I learned over the years, you do wanna be listening to us, especially when this stuff is going on because we can help you. We can in fact help you not get on that freeway. Just like that happened. Bottom line. Is sounds like the road crews doing the best job they possibly can things are passable right now they are. But you just need to be smart.

"Continues right now. Twenty eight degrees in greenfield. Bob tarintino is your host Don crime forced and Bill Schmidt both agents at redefined realty, it's part to the property tax show. Bob, we're getting a lot of calls. We'll just go to the phones. Awesome. Yeah. Let's do it. And find out if your taxes went up or down and where you live, and then we'll just go onto the next call we go in a rapid pace. And we'll try to get to everybody. Seven nine nine eleven thirty is the phone number starting in Alcorn, Nancy good morning. Good morning guys. Merry christmas. Everybody to merry Christmas. Christmas are my taxes? Went up again for the third year in a row. Boy. Yeah, that's Alcorn. It is. So what's going on in Elkhart? Did you guys have any big referendums or anything over last? We have a new field house at the high school. The city workers have a new building. Going up. Okay. Ticket items. Projects how how much Nancy percentage or dollar wise? Did they go up mine went up about two point five percent, which was one hundred dollars? What about last year? Do you? Remember last year? They went up even more not a not a trend you on a sea. No, definitely not at all Nancy. Thanks for calling. You guys take care of merry Christmas. Okay. Now, we go to west bend. This is your community. I think Bill right? Yes. Jeff is calling. Jeff how're you doing in west bend? I am doing just fine and yourself fantastic. And I think you're doing really fine because it looks like your property taxes went down. Yes. It did. It went from fifty two hundred down to forty eight. Oh nice. That's almost what body percent or something. Like that. It's a big jump. Are you in the city or the town? I am in the city. I'm one of the lucky people I have been an entire acre right in the city. That's that's unusual. And you said typically Bill the city's a little bit higher than the town of west bend. Yes. The. As an example when I moved up there. Oh date myself about eighteen years ago, the taxes in the town where? Or half of what the city taxes were. I think it's equalised a little bit. But the town is still a little bit lower than the than the city. Jeffrey can have a merry Christmas. Merry christmas. You guys. Thanks, jeff. Thanks for calling in. All right now, we've got a new Berlin. And this is one of the towns last week when we talked about taxes. Everybody was saying they were going up in new Berlin seven eleven percent, Pat. Good morning. Good morning merry Christmas merry Christmas. Pat. I heard you guys say that earlier about eleven percent. And I actually did not even look at our property tax Bill yet to see without actually was and I was pleasantly surprised ours. Went up by about one hundred dollars. Okay. That's not too bad. Then not eleven percent. That's good to hear so up, but just slightly. Yeah. That's not bad at all. Why the difference by why would some well, depending on if you had work done to look at each property tax Bill and analyze it. So that's the part. We can't really do here on the air, but some people get reassessed. And so maybe the value of their house went up quite a bit and the taxes just filed suit where somebody else may be didn't in it stayed closer to the same. So, you know, we'll if we get a chance here over the next couple of. Weeks. We'll do a little bit of research. And we'll see if we can't report back in new Berlin, you know, down the road and just do a little analysis ahead of time. But you know, that that's why we have the phone calls. It's nice to have a whole bunch of people calling in because we can see if there's a trend where you know, four five six people new Berlin say the same thing. Well, then we know we've got something going on. But you know, now, we have Pat call, and he says that there were basically flat. Yeah. Well, that's that's a good size box. Call that about even. Yeah. Yeah. Pat, thanks for the call have a mirror Christmas. Yup. Appreciate it. I tell you about we've got a couple of callers that just have some questions I'm buying and selling. Let's sneak those in quickly Chuck is in Waterford, Chuck. Good morning and WFAN. Yeah. Mike what you're buying? We're in a condo, my wife, and I and the guy, but we have a couple of or by our place and he wants to walk into ready lost four and a half. Now, either about four three eight seven five, and he wants me to close say in the middle of February and stay there until we moved in the middle of may. And my question to you. I don't I'm willing to do that. But I don't wanna pay anything extra in right now. Like to access my mortgage insurance or about eighteen hundred bucks. And I got a two and a half percent mortgage shirt with I'm I'm sure he born a lot more. And he's saying I who determines what the rent will be for those three months. That's something that you guys can negotiate. And you know, whatever the number is there's no right or wrong answer. It's just whatever you guys agree to we have this happened quite a bit. And as a seller, you know, my personal opinion is you wanna close in that property as soon as you can and get that money in your pocket. And then if you do pay rent back home, you know, maybe you just tell them. Hey, my payments eighteen hundred a month now, and I'm willing to pay that to you for a couple of months, but I'm not gonna pay anymore, and he may very well be agreeable to that. If it's an interest rate thing for him. Now, eighteen hundred nine John my won't go hired two thousand twenty one hundred or something like that. And that's where it should be. Yeah. Right. It's completely up to you. Because there's no reason to close early if the contract says, you know, at a later date, you can stick to that date and force him. Earlier today. What you said they have the money one thing and be. Able to get a good place. Great work it out with a you'll be surprised. Thank you, Chuck. Appreciate the call. This happened quite a bit. What he described not a lot. But it does happen. And as a seller always looked to close as soon as you can. And then if you can rent back, that's the best case scenario because not only do you put that money in your pocket. But a lot of times your rent is going to be the same as what you're paying now or less and the buyers are happy to do it that way. Hey, if you're just joining us on the redefine realty show. Bob tarintino is your host last week. We started the property taxes scotch, and this will probably be the last week or do this. Bob. Maybe some foul up, but we last week with what we're doing. We do this every year. I I tell you this every year about my favorite show. I seem where we're at because we saw the trend in Wisconsin for so long property taxes. They were just getting out of control. They were I remember five years ago. People were calling up and they were screaming at us because their taxes have gone up so much and they're getting so mad as your after year after year. And then finally we saw him dip. And now now seems almost like things are leveling out. That's what have the impression I've got his either leveled outer can starting to go back. Exactly. Yeah. Now, we heard from some new Berlin, callers, and we got more from new Berlin. This one is from guanaco a, Darlene. You're in WINS how you doing? Hi, very good merry Christmas to you. All thank you Harry, Christmas, Christmas and merry Christmas to my husband, and I are taxes went down six hundred dollars. Nice about ten percent. All these folks. That's a lot. That's maguelonne. Go MC wanna go. Excellent out last year. Do you remember to lean where they down or up? Let's see this is our I believe our third years here. I think they went. I think you went down a little bit. Then you're seeing the good trend. Yeah. Yeah. I can buy an extra Christmas present for your husband. I know he listening on the other end. Don't give away any secrets, right. Well, darling. You are going to have a merry Christmas. Thank you for calling us. Okay. Thank you Bye-bye. Guess what we have another new Berlin caller Glenn is calling in good morning. Yeah. Let's see if Glenn went up or down in and how much Glen good morning. Good morning hard to hear you on your phone now, make sure your radio turned off Glenn. Okay. Yes. It is. It's turned off. Yep. Perfect. Thank you. Good. Mike access went up. I don't have the Bill in front of me. But it's two to three percent. I just I wanted to call in. I think I think you folks are are missing the point. Or some new Berlin residents are in the west Allis west Milwaukee school district school taxes are the big driver. And those are the folks I think who saw eleven percent Berlin's been been pretty good last couple of years this year was a little higher. But it's in a two to three percent range that makes sense. Yeah. And you know, and that's a good point that he makes there are handful of communities out there Brookefield is one of them where most people think well, I live in Brookefield. I go to the Brooke schools, there's part of Brookefield that goes to the Waukesha school district. And so same goes for new Berlin. And there's some other communities like that as well. And he's he's exactly right. The schools play a big role, and what your taxes are going to be schools in referendums. Yeah. Did a west Alice have some big referendum year two ago? Glenn? And it's usually the taxes are gonna go up. Call. I recall talking about it. On on the show. And usually it's about a year or two after by the increase in taxes. You'll see exactly right. So that that may be explaining things you're still up in new Berlin Glen, but only two or three percent. That's not bad. Not bad a little higher than it has been. But better than than it was in the past. All right. Thanks. Glad you too merry Christmas. Glen, I'm glad call in good point brought up on explains the difference with because new we've seen new Berlin up. Two percent up eleven percent all over the place. Yeah. There's been a lot of different numbers that we've got put everything seems to be mostly up in New Orleans. We took a whole slew of property tax questions. This guy Cornelius has been waiting on. Hold for about twenty minutes. We apologize, but thanks for your patience. Cornelius. You have a question because you're first time buyer. Good morning. Good morning. Thank you. I inherited my mother's house. And I was wondering do I feel qualify as a first time home buyer? So you're gonna look to buy another house is that what you're saying. I was in the process and the last time I went to the underwriter they just wanted a larger down payment sure in between, and I inherited my mother passed away. And I inherited her. Okay. You know, what I would recommend on that? I don't know that. I have a good answer. Maybe maybe you guys do, but I would recommend talking to a landmark credit union or great, mid West Bank, one of the local lenders, and they've got the best programs out there, usually as far as first time home buyer programs go, and then they might be able to advise you better as to whether or not you will call for one of those programs. So just so we're on the same page, Cornelius. You're looking to buy another house. You're not talking about the your mom's house said you inherited, right? No. I'm on the plan is to rent hers out and buy your, okay? I don't know the answer to that. I mean, technically, you didn't really buy that house. Right. You inherited it. Yeah. I'm not sure how that would work. It's almost a legal question know, what it comes down to is the the banks especially and this is why I always recommend work with a small local community Bank. They have the ability to look at a situation like that in a just to it and make the call and say, you know, what I think cornell's qualifies, and they'll go ahead and give you.

"Thanks as always to west bend the silver lining for making follow the Packers happen. Speaking of the Packers mentioned before buddy of mine sent me a link to an article by Kaelin Kayla. I believe the name is sports Illustrated's Kaelin Kayla. The latest in the long list of writers diving into what's wrong with the green and gold, and this is quite a deep dive it. So lengthy piece I've not been able to read the whole thing. But I did find one part that I found intriguing about the relationship between Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers who keilor's says are both alpha males. When people familiar with the two were asked to describe the relationship is defined by tension until this year. It was a healthy tension that lifted both quarterback and coach in two thousand eighteen something has been different McCarthy, they say is a play caller. But because Rogers is so intelligent such good improvisational player. The quarterback has the green light to change plays on the field as he sees fit. He does so often that can be hard for McCarthy to get into a rhythm. It's the play caller McCarthy might call the same play three times in a game without the plea actually being run as he called it recurs. He calls a play that Rogers doesn't like early in the game that can sour the mood for the rest of the game. Several sources familiar with the inner workings of. The organization say devolved into a competition over who can call the play better in both. What the credit when things go, right? There's more. Yeah. Aaron says a source close to Rogers won't be upset. This story is being written. And some of those frustrations are getting out there. Interesting. And it also goes into some of the things about the organization itself as well. And whether or not they relied too much on Aaron Rodgers. There's a standard says when the quarterback is the type of singular talent who can mask glaring weaknesses and make an average supporting cast look elite. It invites complacency. Say that forever. You haven't seen that for years? You're right. The mini controversy between Rogers and McCarthy they right was nothing compared to what CBS cameras captured during a victory of the Bengals last season after taking a sick in the third quarter. Rodgers look to the sideline it didn't take an expert lip reader to decipher his message stupid effing call. Then again for good measure stupid effing call the following week. When Rogers walked in news individual meeting with McCarthy, the head coach had the broadcast clip pulled up on the screen ready to review and discuss early in Rogers career McCarthy spent a lotta time coaching him to better control, his body language when frustrated that they had something of a refresher course. And that's something we put it on during the Seattle game. He was in rare form Rogers was of. Armed flipping I rolling and all that kinda stuff to the point where they asked him about it after the gazer. And look I understand the during the course of a game there's going to be tension between coach and quarterback, and it's born out of competition. And that's part of sports, and I'm fine with all of that. That's again, if you're going to have any kind of relationship that is built on some sort of trust. And I I do think they have a relationship that is built on trust is still do believe that. But again, every relationship at some point, you know, reaches its natural end. And you know, I think we're at that point. I think.

"Cubs are not helping us out. Anyway, they're playing some great baseball as well. So lots to pay attention to lots of heavy lifting for the brewers, but it can be done. So interesting times I'm talking about this decision. Not a decision. This hall pass west bend east and west basically. The kid to stay in the classroom and not learn on a valuable education experience on the textures weighing in Jeff at least teachers trying something new bathroom privileges are widely abused in rural suburban and urban schools. And I think more should be done about this from the nine to I would want that I would want my student in that class the teacher probably takes her class. Seriously. It's an interesting debates. Let's go to Alison Chicago, you're on WTMJ. Good morning Alice. Good morning. So this is an interesting topic. My son who was in high school. He did not get the privilege of open campus. You know, where you can actually lead the school and have lunch off campus. Right because he was tardy to class three times last year. Wow. If you do the math classes a day times one hundred and eighty school days, he was only three times. And so we decided it was just fast. He wouldn't be demerits. If he just he's. The restroom gearing class. Interesting, and what was the response by the teacher school? Oh, I actually called the school and spoke to them. Like, I spoke to you about the. They get four minutes between classes, I've heard I've heard that that's not long enough heard that from both teachers and students. This is why you've got kids who carry thirty pounds backpack from class to class because they don't have time to go to their lockers, let alone use the restroom. I think but I do overall agree with you. There's a bigger picture. Who cares? You know? What I mean? It's just. The bathroom pass missing an education and hold it. We can get worked up about all these things. And a lot of this stuff is is still at the discretion of the teacher. And in this case, she she put a message on there that got garnered a lot of attention. But I think if they were to not hold kids accountable for having to actually use the rest of now, I understand some people my over use the restroom. Well, that's a case by case basis. But when you've got a kid like mine who's actually a pretty good kid. You know, he's the first kid to football practice in the last one to leave. He's a great kid. But if you're charting three times a class, you can't leave the and there are kids who get excused by their harbor. Parents doing are worth. All right. Well, thanks, thanks for the call. Appreciate your listening from Chicago. You know, we're not going to solve any problems with this one. But I think it it speaks to something that's going on there. There's a general how should how should I say this lack of enthusiasm among some kids to focus on what they're really there for plays out in some school districts more than others, obviously. So whatever the teachers intent was at west bend east and west she's going to be reprimanded, not not probably too harshly by her administration. I think she met well, and I'm support teachers here, you know, what they want you to learn they need you to be in the classroom to learn at some point. That's where you're but needs to be in that seat. And I've heard from a lot of school districts. There's a general lack of understanding that in a school day kids shouldn't be wandering the hallways. Some school districts. Let these kids get away with it. Beyond the others you know what in the face it's it's interesting, I was the last one I was in the they, have a small one I small is relative. They had a a comparatively I think a smaller one and told her store in west bend and. I was in there or, not that long ago, and I was just kind of I, seriously I was just sort of overwhelmed some walking up and, down the aisles about. All the different stuff they had things that again like I was saying I don't know that I need, it but you kind of. Think I. Might end up wanting this this type of thing and now I think they're, also looking at building a new larger store out in the west bend area but they're doing something that's that's right Matt in Milwaukee net rental DTM j. good afternoon Good afternoon I take my regular I there before I get avenue it typically traditional when you head up north and there more and more, out of state plates comments coming up, and you know it it just a one stop shop for everything you, need to, get your you, know bar unit oil you, get your fish bay everything there and and and and they just.
