"Play whatever the plane rock band we you don't need to all right and that brings us to shelf stacking box and i'll go first on this. This is going on the shelf. This is a really good movie. it's still funny. I want to say. I like the first ant man better but i can't really remember if i'm remembering correctly that i liked the other movie or i just i don't really know 'cause it's been watching. Wendy mc movies in a row up by the way but it's a really good film jokes land. I enjoyed it. I definitely me. I haven't seen a since theaters and watch it again for sure. It's it's a really good movies going on the shelf. And i'm glad we watched it. How about you use is going to go on. The box does not. This is my favorite z. Move and love this language. It's such a fine self contained story other than the references to civil war in the first man but and like you said the jokes all landed. Comedy is well done in this one. I think there's a single one that is like Jr whatever like. I was laughing. The whole movie is great and the action is among the best amsi. You which i know is going to get some gas at people. 'cause amc is known for its action but there's nothing like it in this like the action in this movie isn't the action in any other movie with the shrinking the whatnot. So yeah it's it's it's good. I can't even put into words partly put into words very nice job. Don't know what you billboards. I can't say this is my favorite movie. I think that's what we're gonna actually do. "Was like okay. No pressure so so so for me what that means. I have to try and think of things that people will actually cook and so that already limits right means not super fancy or very expensive over labor intensive over time intensive things. Unless there's like the one in a million very special thing. And then i think about things that maybe means something to me or maybe some sort of a dish that i've come across in my eating. That is something really delicious. That i would love to tell or if there's a story so there's a lot of different things last year. I had one that. I wrote about chocolate kebabs from pakistan which i had eaten way back when and have always thought about is a delicious thing and then as i started thinking about it i remembered that kebab is an ethnic slur a religious slur against muslims. And so then. I was able to turn it into this sort of more. Like meditative thing on what it is to be a brown person in america so but it always starts with the food and then what i found is that almost always like even when i least suspect it. There's a story somewhere. And so all i have to do is sort of. Listen and ask and an unusually people say the funniest weirdest stuff. And that's what's the most charming. So so how. How is this playing into the new book. God can we talk about the new sure. It was announced just a couple of weeks ago. Right you're gonna be cooking your you and wendy mc not in your illustrator from salt. Fat acid heat are teaming up around too and it'll be called what to cook too. Which coming from you feels a little prescriptive. Oh yeah but it's also like could be a question what to cook. So what should we so. I wasn't planning to sell a book this year. That was a mistake accident due to somebody evil in here. You know who you are. But basically it started with a show and nut flakes when they bought salt fat acid heat. They told me to think about what the next show would be. And they wanted me to think about Something that could be evergreen and have like an infinite number of episodes and be a little bit less labor intensive and time and cost intensive to shoot so not involving travel or international traveling like being one fixed place so essentially they were like. We want you to think of your version of julia child's show or like a in stir show and i was like i will die. My soul will die. If i have to stand in stir show because that's not what i care about what i care about is like teaching people and learning and interacting with humans. And so i was mulling this over for a long time and one day i realized what i could do rather than like showing up and saying today. We're gonna make these three things for some contrived like fake dinner party. What if i actually took the opportunity to look at real circumstances whether they were mireille circumstances or somebody else's real circumstances in cooking and just as like as a professional cook. I was talked to think about salt that acid and heat of these four elements as my sort of points on my compass. Professional cooks are also you know like chefs. Don't show up at work and be like what am i gonna invent today. I mean at least not the shafts. I know you show up to your restaurant. And there's a real set of constraints involve like time and who's coming to work today. And are they a very skilled cook. And what leftovers do we have that we have to use up and those are mirrored in home kitchens because your kid might be losing their mind and you need to have dinner in twenty minutes or like. I have a friend who has a baby and she has to cook one-handed because her baby like will not let are put her down. So what you make with. Just one hand or another one is at thanksgiving. I o people are always like. How do i get everything in the oven. And i'm like okay. We'll your oven is your constraint. So how do we build a meal around are limited oven space so these limitations in in cooking their true and re for everyone. So if i could teach you how to think your way through that. Then that's how you get to a meal and so every episode could be a different scenario. You know whether it's from my life or someone who i visit. And then when i was telling my agent she was like well. That's a book too. And i was like i hate you and then that was like we don't want that show yet so it's not my next show but it is going to be my next book and the more i thought about it. I was like if this book even more so. This book should be illustrated by wendy macnaughton. Because it's all about decision making. And that's what i want to teach you to do. The whole point of salt was to teach you to taste and to think through your way your way through the kitchen without a recipe. And so for this. I would like you to think your ways. You're what you're going to do and be confident in deciding what to do and knowing how to execute your plan you know without having to be like. Oh but i don't have forty two cherry tomatoes or whatever so But because of the way the whole brouhaha selling book happened. I am actually not writing that book yet. And i won't start writing it for probably a year because i have to work on another show right now so i'm trying to figure out i'm still trying to figure out what that's going to be. My dream has carbs of the world. And and and so. We're going to we're gonna get into making that show this year and then i also like i want to make an end lewis documentary. I wanna make their million things. I wanna do so. I am on the hook for a book. It's coming publisher. I promise just not in a year. In the meantime we can by the prince from awesome.
