Grey's Anatomy Shocker: George O'Malley Returns
"Anatomy just brought another character back from the dead. Oh gee cast member. Tr night aka. George molly main appearance on the abc show last night. I wouldn't want to leave either. The beach kids got great kids. They're the best. He didn't meet them a check. In sometimes too i choose. Do i get to decide if i go back. I didn't. I would've stayed if i couldn't say from heaven. I really love the character. George i you know a couple of weeks ago when patrick dempsey i return. We all made predictions on the show. Like who come back. None of us thought about george tyranny was like did not even enter. My mind was little like caught off guard in a great way i was like. Oh my gosh. Yes because like meredith. And george were so close. I listen i listen. I'm going to try. And i'm not the biggest. I don't have as much experience with as she does with. Gray's i feel like i haven't seen that much of it but obviously i know these characters i know how to love the show is on and i think that right now is the time that people need a little bit of fantasy you know so i think people really appreciate these moments you know what i mean just to them happy and feel good and forget about like sort of everything that's going on in the world we need to that answer. Morgan because oddest grey's anatomy wars in heaven. The whole show was gone. I'm just kidding. Fans ever never started for me. So sh- no no shade. There i just never got into it though. I do appreciate being fan of the show and when you have favorite characters you haven't seen him in ten years. It's very exciting to have him come back and i think it is a nas plot twist or plotline to have them appear from heaven right. That means any character. Let's ever ever now can appear in. This brings in that. He's been on a long time so it could be anyone. But i am still on sandra. Oh i think we're going to get one more visit from a legendary character. And it's gotta be sandra. Intensive scare: covid-19 ravages America
"We're likely to lose another two hundred and fifty thousand people dead between now and january this week grim headlines and milestones in america the daily covid nineteen death. Toll hit a new record on wednesday. The infected patient count in hospitals asked one hundred thousand for the first time the contagion has now reached every corner of the country with ninety percent of all. Us hospitals in areas designated as corona virus hot zones cases have topped a million in florida texas and in california governor gavin. Newsom warned of worse to come just in the last fourteen days close to one thousand californians have lost their lives due to covid nineteen. The bottom line is if we don't act now. Our hospital system will be overwhelmed. We don't act now will continue to see a death. Rate climb. healthcare systems are becoming overwhelmed in ways not even seen during the pandemic's panicked early stages in the midwest things have been particularly dire with intensive care units filling up doctors and nurses exhausted and in many places. The public just isn't acting in a way that will stem the tide right now across the midwest. We've seen a surge of cova cases of people being rushed into hospital. Adam roberts is our midwest correspondent in states like north dakota. South dakota is when talking to health workers in those hospitals. They've been telling me that. Icu beds are at eighty percents. Ninety percent occupation ensured. The hospitals seem to be getting quite full and sometimes quite stressed and how have the hospitals in the region been preparing for this surge. I spoke to several health. Workers including dan rooney. Who's with the emergency medicine department at the university of iowa hospitals and clinics. That's in iowa city and his hospital because it's an academic center is just about the best equipped in the state. It's been doing everything it can to clear. Space to let covert patients have as much from his possible. So inpatients have been sent home when they can be. They've added extra. Icu beds that being postponing elective surgeries and dr renee told me that it's being taught and go from the outside. It sounds like okay. Everything was handled any sort of at the moment. But it's just hard to convey how close you are to going from just being able to barely need it to be overwhelmed and the fact that has been handled so far has been partly down to the actions of frontline workers. We've been lucky of the health care system to mostly not quite break. But i think people be shocked about how close we get and just what it takes in terms of individual level responses to make the thing keep going so from what dr wendy says. It sounds as if the public doesn't really know how bad things are at the moment. Yes don't worry says. He worries members of the public and governing. Politicians just haven't grasped what happens when hospitals get to full take for example the impact of canceling elective surgeries as a common misconception that those are surgeries onto poulsen until the no pressing when you hear hospital canceling elective surgeries. That means people potentially with cancer. Getting their tumor excise. It means people that have gallbladders either heart disease or vascular disease that need intervention that are putting them at risk of really bad side effects and sickness or death. That's real that's happening. So when the hospitals become overwhelmed is not just covid. Nineteen patients who suffer. It's the rates of excess non virus. Deaths that also could search and what about the situation outside urban areas like iowa city. I mean the situation. Equal kind of across the region. No is is not equal. So what you see. Is this interrelationship between the big hospitals in places like iowa city and then rural places small hospitals. That might just have one doctor one us now these rural hospitals. They're under great strain. Not least because many of them have closed in the last decade or so around one hundred thirty rural hospitals across america have closed and that puts a lot of pressure on the ones that remain. They can be overwhelmed with just one two three patients coming in and you can imagine that when covid sweep through a small town maybe a local meat packing plant is affected or prison. Those hospitals are overwhelmed. Very quickly. I spoke to ben christians. Who's an emergency care doctor. In sioux falls in south dakota who said that for the past two months they've been functioning at over one hundred percent capacity of their icu. Beds and they've been adding more beds as well and he takes patients from eighty sparsely populated but Reflected counties spread all across south dakota and beyond and these are patients who are coming in from as far as a hundred and fifty miles to get to his relatively small hospital. And it's not surprising that those places get overwhelmed more quickly than in the biggest cities. And why do you think the situation is so bad particularly in the midwest. What is moving out from the midwest now but the first surge hit the midwest this autumn i think partly because these are more northern states and it's colder weather up here and so people are in those and maybe spreading the virus more easily but it's also a fact that in rural areas in parts of northern wisconsin and the two dakota's people have just not taken serious measures. It's not unusual for me when i've been reporting and wearing my mosque going into small towns to be stead at and for people to look at me as if i'm an alien. They don't want to wear masks. They don't want to do social distancing as winning liz people in the cities and that may be why they're also being affected badly now and the third reason is that politicians in those states including the governors have been refusing to order rules on mosques and closing restaurants and businesses. And so it's not unusual in all of these places to have mass gatherings people going to church people going to bars and restaurants even when the infection rate is extraordinarily high and that must be that much more frustrating for over the frontline workers who are seeing the effects of all that don't originally told me it's very difficult the thing that's been harder as as this has gone on the sense that we're not really in this together as a community as a state a nation you know. We're watching people get sick. We're watching people die. We're watching our colleagues really extended themselves to prevent the system from completely breaking and then to see scenes of full airports full bars to see people talking about their individual liberty with regards to amass. That has been that's been and a lot of the healthcare workers in other places. I spoke to said exactly the same that frustrated. They're exhausted some falling ill themselves but is there a bright side here. I mean haven't health professionals come a long way since the spring and in terms of coping with these outbreaks. Yes so the saving grace of all this is frontline. Staff know much better ways to treat patients for example they're much slower than people on ventilators. They discovered that if you'll put on a ventilator you own you have a five to ten percent chance of actually surviving it and so far. Fewer people are being intimidated than before. It's only the most desperate cases and generally there a better treatments better drugs use of steroids and someone so there are reasons to be more hopeful. That if you are infected you can survive. But on the downside. We've had a big surge in infections. Recently is not just the colder weather. It's the fact that people are getting together as the holiday season and run the said he stands by and he watches in fear. Because the thanksgiving weekend. The past probably is a sign that they'll be more affections and we'll see a big surge in the weeks to come. You know for all the fatalist and say well. It's paying them into a disease. what can you do. You can just look around the world that responses and places have crushed to this and there is no reason that a place with the material wealth and the scientific expertise of the united states shouldn't have been among those countries and the fact that we haven't it's an enduring tragedy. Adam thank you very much for joining us. Thank you jason.
Coronavirus Stimulus Talks Moving in Right Direction, Party Leaders Say
"This morning Democrats getting behind a scaled back stimulus toe. Try to restart talks for more. We're joined by Brown University Political science chair Wendy Schiller, professor Good to have you on with us this morning of morning where it seems like stimulus hopes. Spring eternal. But how much hope do you put in Speaker Pelosi in minority leader Schumer backing this bipartisan legislation that was worth about $900 billion it was put forward this week. Good morning, agent. Well, I mean, I think that they recognize that the you know the whole country is being hit really hard by this, but that they're the areas that are you know, traditional sport of Democrats are getting hit again really hard, and they had wanted direct aid for states and cities. They couldn't get it from Trump. They're not going to get from Senate Republicans. So basically someone like Durban and represents Illinois Big City like Chicago has to make a decision system Majority Minority Leader and them hard party and say, all right, we gotta get something you know if we you know, we especially unemployment, either top off or extension or some combination of those things on. I think the Democrats want to get what they can and not turn this into the first battle that Biden have the face once he's inaugurated. Is this about the pandemic, getting to the level that it's at now? Or is this a dose of political reality, given how the election turned out for the house, particularly with Democrats losing seats in November? I do think that the Democrats are not looking at a scenario that they hope to be looking at come January, which was a majority Democratic Senate and then picking up more seats in the house, where they could really, you know, right from ticket with Biden, so given that that's out the window. Even if the Democrats take one or two of US Georgia seats that's still not really a likely scenario you can control the Senate, barely. I have a very razor thin margin in the house now for the Democrats, So yeah, it's a political reality. But I think it's also about what they hope Biden can achieve What becomes president and taking one really big thing off the table before he starts that job, and I think that's a big incentive for them because then they could turn to things like infrastructure, which would also help the economy. Well, what's your sense of what President Biden could achieve. Given the realities of what Senate control is gonna look like either way, depending on how the Georgia run offs turned out, it's going to be a razor thin margin, no matter which way you slice it, and the president elect has said. Whatever gets past if something gets past, but during this lame duck session is going to be a down payment. For something much bigger. Well, right. I mean, this is what you know. Obama wanted a much bigger stimulus than he got in 2009 as well, and he had all three chambers. It's a very hard thing, particularly with it, you know, $3 trillion deficit and rising. So I mean, I just think one of the key factors. Both parties were looking at Tau look towards 2022. Because that's where both parties are looking right now, at least in the Congress side is that suburban voters were willing to split their ticket. And very noticeable voted Republican straight down the line voted for Joe Biden and maybe because it in like Trump. We don't know for sure, but they were willing to do that and then vote for Republicans in other offices, knowing that they're willing to do that means that they're up for Gramps, and I think that's the serve Achilles heel for the Republicans in blocking everything for Biden. I don't think they think they can do that and still safely hold onto the seats they want to defend in 2022, so that's where Biden and the Democrats have a bit of a bargaining advantage. In trying to get moderate proposal through that will help Cove it will help the economy will make suburban voters happy. I'm curious to get your take on how Biden has been starting to fill out his cabinet. Now. There are reports that he plans to announce his health team next week, and one of the names were hearing for health and human services. Secretary is someone that you're familiar with in your home state of Rhode Island Governor Gina Rowe Mondo That Gina Romano has done in an outstanding job in a very small state, but a very, very heavily densely populated state. So she's been dealing with sort of a big outbreak for a long time It subsided. Then it came back. She's been excellent communications and made some missteps very early on in terms of summer management with nursing homes, as other governors did, but generally speaking, has had very high approval ratings and has been thought to make this situation much better than it would have. Then, so she shown leadership in a very stressful time, And she's also communicated really well about why she's doing what she's doing. And I think any pick for HHS secretary has to be an excellent communicator because you have to basically explain the American people why we're doing what we're doing, and when we're doing it, and she's been doing that so consistently, and then it helps bring her state's not complete compliance. Bring her state along in a way that's been relatively successful. Are you surprised at all that, at least so far, we haven't heard any names of Democratic primary opponents on any of Biden's Cabinet shortlists. Well, he can't take. I mean, really. He just can't take anybody out of the Senate. Right? So that takes worn out that takes Sanders out. I know Sanders. People are very disappointed about that on. I think that's what Bernie was hoping for debris Sanders was hoping for, but you just can't take a Democrat out of the Senate. Even the Democratic government still can't do it right now, so that makes sense to me. I think people usually think people wanted him to get something he may still get something There's been talk about veterans affairs. But remember, you know, the Republicans have been relatively accepted to buy these choices so far, except for one choice. Neera Tanden for O M B. I think that's going to hit some some bumps along the way. Probably big bumps. But generally speaking, he wants a smooth Cabinet confirmations, You know process. So anybody who's super politicized more to the left of Biden for a top job. It's just probably out of the question, given the composition of the Senate. Only about 30 seconds left here. Do you think Attorney General Bar is on borrowed time after the voter fraud allegations from President Trump? I think during her borrow, looked ahead to the future and decided does he want to leave the Trump administration with any shred of credibility? And I think this move was designed to show that he wouldn't be try to leave with credibility and confirm the election knowing he's gonna leave anyway. And, you know, thinking about what's next so that he gets fired doesn't get fired. I think what he did was forward thinking for him. Not Miss Ellie and President Trump. Thank you Always could have you on with us. Brown University Political science chair Wendy Schiller with us this morning on
Bitcoin price tumbles more than 10% in a Thanksgiving Day correction
"The price of Bitcoin tanking dramatically overnight thinking about getting in on that hot crypto currency ride. It has cooled considerably. It's a rich man's world for sure if you're invested in Bitcoin, the digital coin was steaming toward a record $20,000 this week until it wasn't Overnight, It's value plummeted down 2000 and a matter of hours sale. Trump pardons former national security adviser Michael Flynn
"Observers have long expected President Trump today wiped clean the record of former national security adviser General Michael Flynn. President Trump has often made clear how he feels about the prosecution and conviction of his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn. I think he's a hero of the general Today. He did something about it. CBS is Natalie brand President Trump announced on Twitter that he has granted a full pardon to his former national security adviser, General Michael Flynn. Flynn tried to rescind his 2017 plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller on charges of lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials. Larry Sabako is the director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia. It isn't a surprise because Flynn, in Trump's view, was the victim as much as he Woz of the Mueller investigation, the investigation into the foreign events that resulted in several convictions of people. Close to Trump. I'm Wendy Gillette. The pardon drew quick condemnation from the head of the House Intelligence Committee, Burbank Democrat Adam Schiff talked to KNX. It's another terrible abuse of power by the president. He came into office acting like an organized crime figure, and he leaves office in the same way. Determined to use his power to protect and reward his friends. Those who lie on his behalf. And still seeking to punish his enemies, so another true to form action by the president. But another body blow is well to the rule of law shift points out that the president himself said he fired Flynn. Because he had lied to the vice president shift says he expects more pardons to come during Mr Trump's final weeks in office,

I like their razor. I like the fact that it shows up regularly. So i am never out. Because prior to that razors. Were one of the things that i was terrible about replacing so i would be using the same dole razor for a long time because i would keep forgetting to add it to my target list and now i have quite a few backups because turns out i'm not actually that great about releasing my blade as often as i should but i shave my legs daily no matter the season i hate the feeling of like prickly legs leg hair against clothing. I don't enjoy that This is not a statement. About what i think anybody else will do with her body. It is like this. I don't like the feeling on my own body. I have never finished a body butter. Never and i went and re purchased it yesterday. 'cause i like free will but you know what i also saw. You know that line raw sugar. They use i. I see that target. That's where i see that. Do you know what i'm talking about. Raw sugar yes. I love their lemon hand. Wash and body wash. Yes but they also have body butters that. I don't think i've actually ever seen in store. But they had them online. And i was like i want to try one of those so i might find one of those and just change it up a little bit. What about do you ever do. You take baths hardly ever so a bath can kind of go either way because too much like a hot bath or a hot shower is actually going to dehydrate. Your skin right but if you take a bath with like something added to it. I really like from urban four their coconut that so it's like like a powder that dissolves That sounds awesome. Yes and it smells good and your skin feels amazing. Of course you can get like you know. Lush has like those like their bat. Bombs have oil in them button. I do enjoy those but also like a lot of times. They look leave glitter in my bathtub. scrubbing like the pink as off my backed up so as much fun as they are and i like the smells like watching them. Dissolve in the bath. Water sometimes just like the plain white powder bats soak. That's not going to like. Give me extra chores also backed like it makes my skin feel amazing and i love a bath in the wintertime. Where do you buy that. They sell it itself. Untruthful at other places but i got mine at sephora see like i hate the process of putting lotion on i hate it so much i oh do you. I just can't stand it. I don't mind the process. I don't like especially in the winter. And i'm using a heavier product. The waiting like i have to wait like a minute or two to get dressed. I don't like that see. That's why i don't really change anything super heavy like i'll put a body better on like before i go to bed but i won't wear body butter like during the daytime. I'll stick to my like lotions. No yeah my routine has been like get out of the shower and hot tip like you should be listening immediately out of the shower like pat your skin dry. And when it's still a little damp put the lotion on unlock that moisture. In and then. I'll put on my bathrobe that we talked about last episode and all kinds of like you know. Comb my hair. Brush my teeth and continue getting ready. Wall everything soaks in. And then i'll get dressed. That's so funny. To hear your richie because my lotion routine is like way steps after that app after you've gotten out of the shower yeah my skin's on fire yeah. I know i'm no expert here telling you what i do. Not necessarily ain't it. Works is my routine. Do you have products. You used to hydrate like not your skin but other parts of your body yes. I struggle with like dehydration like all the time so during an early in quarantine actually our mutual friend. Wendy wendy is. She turned me onto something called liquid. Iv hydration multiplier and it's basically like a powdered electrolyte. That you add to your water. I really like it. They have like six or seven. Flavors you can get it on amazon. They have it at costco I personally like the lemon lime and the passion fruit and away. Drink that like in the morning do you add it. Length thing i so what i would use. I put it in a hydro flask. I can't remember like the ratio water. You should put to actually add more water to it. Because i don't like that like strong. wavered water. So then i just sit on it all day long. This is like when i do. I don't do it regularly. i wish i would. It does have forty five calories and twelve grams of carbohydrates but it also includes dextrose. Which is artificial sweetener so. I don't think you can drink it. Right isn't it. Stevia thought proteins heads stevia. All of them. It's not vital proteins. It's liquid eileen. Yeah all of those hydrates liquid. Iv vital proteins. There's there's lots of hydrating drink powders right now. And i know liquid. Iv is probably the when people talk about. I have yet to find one. That doesn't include some form of artificial sweetener and for those who don't know i am an artificial sweetener baby. Not that i don't like it. It makes me violently ill and for some reason this is just a side now if he walked argue with me about that they're like oh you get a headache if i have aspartame to know friends like so sick like when i discovered this when i was sixteen years old and constantly sick and my mom like took me to the doctor and they did test after test after test after test and finally doctor goes. Hey do you drink diet soda or eat. Sugar free candy and i was sixteen years old and diet. Coke was like half of my diet. Yeah and he was like yeah. Don't do that. And then i stopped getting sick and then like over. The years discovered like splendid does the same thing and stevia does the same thing so..

"Drop back like that and make a snow angel. However i am not sure if i would do it as an adult. My daughter used to do it all the time. She was two to three years old. And then she says wendy. I have also never watched a hallmark movie ever. Am i try and watch some of the ones you case review. See if. I actually like them. Thanks again for doing the podcast. Heidi thank you heidi. Us my high school best friend. So really i yeah. You didn't know. I knew her but i didn't know that level of the connection. Yes so. I'm very excited. That she's listening to our podcast. It makes me happy. Thank you heidi. And i appreciate the snow angel intel. Because we don't know anything about knowing not one damn thing. This week's episode is all about. Never kiss a man in a christmas letter featuring ashley williams and nile mater as maggie and lucas. Yeah do you want me to read this synopsis here. I do okay. single mom. Maggie is facing christmas alone into lucas. Crashes into her life and becomes an unexpected house guest together. They overcome christmas while finding comfort in their growing bond megan. It took me six hours to watch this movie. I have a full page of complaints about this. I have quite a few you. But let's just jumping. Okay let's start with. Let's start with what we loved about this movie. Let's let's go hi. can i start please. I really liked ashley williams. I think she's a great actress. I can't tell you anything else. She's been in but i. She was great with the material she had. She could probably handle a lot more like to me. She's missouri corky fun and maybe like a little bit of a physical actress. You know what i mean. A physical comedy actress. I just thought this material was real below average. But i i agree i like her. She's definitely a hallmark christmas movie. Darling and so. I know her from that. I enjoyed her quite a bit. Like you said. I think she was given a dud of script for real. One thing i loved was at the very end of the movie. The video messages from the troops. That's always like a heart. String puller for me. And i would like more of those i could have. I could've stood to have a little bit more of that part of the movie really because they only showed to. They had one very short one and then they had a long one. Who was the dad of the little boy. Read and i think he had a sister And that was very heartfelt. I do think there could have been more storytelling around that aspect of the movie I thought that was really sweet to. I'm not little boy read. I thought it was so cute. I mean like how can you not feel for families who are not together. You know absolutely was the most touching part of the movie for me and and i do think that saved the movie for me because otherwise it it like it struggled for me but i did enjoy that and even the third video message. We only saw. We didn't see it. We only heard the audio of it and then we saw like shots the audience so i would have enjoyed more of that okay. What else did you like anything else. I liked the exterior of maggie's house like her porch with her little fire pit. I enjoyed that. We're really reaching What about you know. That's all i got. That's the only two notes. I have under what i liked. That's it for me too. Okay in these movies we've been tracking the niece count and this movie throws a curveball and not a niece nephew. It's a nephew and our robotic daughter e. yeah. I was like who's this. I've never seen a teenager act like this. She was so sweet and kind and then yeah no no loving to both of her pair. Yes okay going back to the nephew thing one thing. I think this movie did a lot of is. If you take every hallmark movie trope. I mean every single one of them and write them on a piece of paper. Feel like this movie tried to do every single one of them and one thing we often see. Is we have the niece or nephew character. Being mistaken for the child of the main character and of course happened here And it took very long was resolved in the hospital. All right. we're going to move in to what is going to be the bulk of the podcast for this particular movie. And that is this little segment. We like to call. Did you see that when we talk about questions we have moments that really stood out as and potentially some plot holes. Have so much to say. Okay kick it off okay. let's start with. I watched as movie with my husband and the number of children she had in her classroom was nine. I didn't even notice. Oh that's funny second grade classroom not lay a preschool yet. That seen actually made me really sad.
Week 10 fantasy football rankings: Running Backs
"I running backs schedule running backs derrick henry. It's actually pretty terrible for the next. three weeks. colts ravens colts. They are top for against fantasy running backs. Then it is unbelievable. And this is the time of year. We're derrick henry gets going anyway His last three his fantasy playoffs are jacksonville. Detroit and green bay. So i i'm recommending. My dalvin cook sell high. And we're going to wait until this primetime game against the colts and hope derrick henry struggles a little bit. And then we're going to sell dalvin cook for derrick henry and very good wide receiver. Okay i because he's going to destroy jacksonville detroit and green bay and the fantasy playoffs. Jonathan taylor is. I have a tough time. Buy into this. But has four matchups against teams. That are twenty nine. Th or worse against running backs this week against tennessee. I don't think it's that great of a match up. They've been really good. The last five games against running backs these per carry giving up some points. But they're giving up touchdown they are giving up touchdown touchdown every game tennessee this year. But you know he's got houston he's got vegas. He's got houston again in week. Sixteen might be tough against pittsburgh but the match ups are great. Does it matter. I don't know what jonathan taylor. We'll see what his role is he's got to just he's got to start playing freely and i think that's what the colts are waiting for. I think the colts are going to give him every opportunity to to get there but he. He's splitting the russian downs. Work with jordan wilkins in the hemans. The hurry up back the passing downs back. David montgomery talked about best remaining schedule. And then two teams. That probably doesn't matter but the foul. I guess i shouldn't say that all that. You guys determine that via broncos and the patriots like damian harris is is locked in. He could be pretty good down the stretch but obviously we don't know if that's going to be the case but yeah patriots and broncos have good schedules now. You go running backs with bad schedules. This one i think is very very important. Kenyan drake. I don't know if anybody is really into kenyan drake but terrific low. You think so yes. Because he's got some very good run. Defenses coming up very good. Maybe he's not such a good bye. I hate the schedule. Buffalo's not good. That's this week. if he's back. Seattle is a good run defense. Their twelve against running backs new england's of matchup. But then after that. So we're talking. That's week ten eleven weeks thirteen and on the rams the giants the eagles the forty niners. That's weeks fourteen. Thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen. Those are four really good run defenses. And that's kenyan drake who only runs and doesn't have any involvement in the passing game so the whole point is to trade firm at the lowest possible price and it's because chase edmonds isn't gonna take his job when he comes back at it sir feels like he'll still have that role that rundown role maybe drake as the guy to go target. If you're desperate for a running back in the next three games not so much for the rest of the season you think this week. He might not even play this week. That's the problem is today. It feels like those games that you're referencing in the playoffs. Are more chase edmonds games than kenyan drake games like. Drake could play all four of those games against her. Three of those games against a good wendy fences and for edmonds might just be better. I think it's four good run. Event is the rams giants eagles niners and the giants thing. They're just about like fourteenth about as close to average as you can be but that's because they're really bad against pass catching running backs. They're not fourteenth in run. Vincent fourteenth and fantasy points allowed to running backs so that does feel more like a chase edmonds game like you. Just look at antonio gives they give us some touchdowns. Mckissic was a lot better than gibson. Even though gives another touchdown i dunno. I dunno school. Fantasy points because of the touchdown. But that's my point like these are good run defenses. So for a guy who's not involved in the passing game at all too scary schedule. I think down the stretch for kenyan drake.

And yeah you mentioned that. You didn't want to go into detail about the philosophy of plato aristotle. But i think it's quite a nice way of kind of tying in those historical figures which brings to the question that i didn't remember to ask yet was that did you have a character. All my historical character dot you draw inspiration from when you are building your your character aliko stories. He like a combination of different stories and sources. Or how how did you. We're going to drop a picture to that and the show notes because when he sent me that text and felt like a Monday morning really absolutely felt like a Monday morning off, you know in slightly happier distraction news. Yeah last night. I finished Emily in Paris on Netflix. Yes, would you recommend it to me a few weeks ago? Okay. Yeah. Well, I think the text was like what channel your parents it's cute. It wasn't like a ringing endorsement not like you were saying it was the greatest thing on Netflix, but I I think I sent that after the first episode. Okay for me got progressively worse as it went on and I was like did I actually recommend this song? Okay. Well, I'm going to give you a chance to walk that statement back, but I have some thoughts about that show after having watched it first. I did find it enjoyable. Like it is beautiful the scenery the costuming the people all very beautiful. I enjoyed all of that. Yes. It has a little bit of the like ugly American moves to Paris doesn't really make a strong effort to learn to speak English. I cringed a few times like when she's in a restaurant. She's like, oh no, no..

"It's just getting into something else that is bigger than me, maybe because that so often, you know, I'm a Virgo. I'm a very practical person but so I often think of myself as not being able to benefit from the spiritual side of things right? Like there's no to do list to be jacked. There's no there's no measurable outcome. However, I don't know month ago 2 months ago. We went on a bike ride to a park in our neighborhood wage. And we had a picnic my husband and my kids and I and we spread the blanket out and we were sitting under these trees and I was just laying on the blanket looking at the leaves move and I get rid of was this Moment of Zen which is not a word. I would ever describe my life with but it was very much outside of myself and it was just so nice and I don't really like outside because I don't like bugs and I don't like sweating and woke don't like things that I can't control and yet there are some moments in nature that kind of blow your mind. So that is so funny. You say that and this is I'm not surprised that that's true you are because I'm the total opposite like those are the moments. I'm looking for. I want those moments like laying in the pool and just feeling the motion of the water or juice. The the way the sun Sparkles off the ocean like those are like those make me so happy and bring me so much joy. So all of that said all of these different jobs has of self-care. What do we do with it with an election? Barreling down upon us in the next couple of weeks. Well, I think it's important to have a plan like obviously don't go into the next five weeks without having a solid foot flexible plan of how you should treat yourself. So you don't, you know fall into the Trap of feeling miserable with whatever outcome we should experience. Yes protect yourself build up your armor now build the foundation. Do you have a plan I do and not before I get into it. You have a plan for a plan. I have a plan for a plan. Yes to be my motto. So we created like a template it is on our website and we will link it in, New Jersey. No notes. We also created a similar template for Instagram that will be on our Instagram at Megan and Wendy L S F. It is basically just a blank template with this. I'm sorry for key dimensions of self-care and what you are going to do to make yourself feel better over the next few weeks and you don't need to make it that debugging are gifts in there. Right but like a hundred percent 100 with salad GIF in there and some feet moving, you know, it is important to think about these things as a plan because you're not just going to wake up one day and be the model of self-care without actually taking the time to implement the steps. You need to take to feel better. I mean, it's not just going to happen. Yeah. I haven't done that in forty-five years, so I don't know why I would like, you know expect otherwise so tomorrow I'm off. Wake up as a self-actualized human and I'm not going to need to try to do any of this. But reality is it's work. It is work. It's going to be work gotta but it's worth it. This episode of long story short the podcast is brought to you by the countdown to the holidays workbook friends. The holidays are roaring toward us..

Can with Wendy has been around for five years now I started in Germany I'm a military spouse and I started writing for the newspapers for the military to help get spouses off post in kind of a out of their comfort zone to experience what was around them? What we were finding out was a great deal of military spouses were home alone, and they were here in a strange country with a strange language with strange customs and we were finding out. There was a lot of depression and sadness, because the spouses would be deployed further away, Afghanistan Iraq and. And in so there was a lot of isolation, and there wasn't a real place for people to connect and explore in so part of my job was to rate these kind of fun articles of of the local area and I was studying German on based on one of the American bases and my core little group. I told them about my job and I said I need I need a test group. 'CAUSE THEY WANNA test these places out I. Promote them in of course right away. I had several years. I WANNA go I. WanNa go. Oh, you're talking about. In, Germany I want to get. And I think there's a security numbers when you travel and in groups of women, and of course, there isn't a business in the world. International renowned BASECAMP and children from all over the world come to learn about space, and hopefully get them inspired to possibly join the space program some day, or at least study science more seriously, was wide, not real well, it starts. You know just like everything else is starting to grow, but yes, it's mostly military communities I do speak. I'm getting ready to go around the country. kind of. to Colorado Springs and I'll be speaking to us. Military families out there undo do troubling sort of likely will. Did you do troubling locally? High Kit hikes things like that. And now that we're here in the states for a couple years in possibly will go back to Germany or Europe I have really dove into hiking around here justice two weeks ago. We to Lexington Kentucky for the weekend and nobody's really out right now. Except on a hiking trail, so it was just wonderful had around a Kentucky so I'll be having a podcast coming out about that, too, and what we discovered in this week. We're going to Asheville and in North Carolina, so there's a lot of beautiful trails in North Alabama where at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains so it's. It's lots of freshwater lakes than actually mountains in hills and. I'm going. To Germany trouble run not sure so. I started a small company Small Tour Company. That's part of travel with Wendy and. Once that little group grew from doing day trips. We went further, so he went to Italy Slovenia. Scotland and I would only take five to six, because also a core of who I am is supporting small businesses, so we would stay at breakfast ish at Toes Agri. Snows and again I would only take small groups and rented a big. We call it a minibus. And we went country entry and stayed for about five days than. Everywhere who says you say coming out from the states coming riding in Europe? Is it very strange environment to them because? Different customs completely different is how you get on a train. How do you travel by train for example exactly? As, you know because England has some of the best. Traveling by train is a major form of transportation, and sometimes it's much easier to take the train than to hop in your car based on traffic patterns and busy times of year, so I have an entire book at written on how to take the training in Europe, because of that, it's not that hard once. You learn the systems, but I did learn that. That Spain is a little different than Germany Germany is a little different than England. So so just knowing those systems before you go, Kinda gives you that sense of ease. We found that last year we were in the Czech Republic non-insulin action nearby We found the trains really good, but was it difficult to work our platform. It was extremely with not not number rate didn't correspond to the edge of the track. In the Czech Republic. We went to Prague and we went to Renault which is. and. Then we went to a few other little towns of things will arrive around Arabia, we went to. One of my favorite little towns is Carlo, Vivari and. which is a little bit probably an hour and a half two.
