It also demonstrates a certain degree of of confidence and independence because of course. The governor has not said that he's going to allow college sober in the fall and In this state you cower in submission until Andrew the virus King By his leash gives you Permission to do what he decides he want you to do. So here's what Circuit University is going to do They are going to start the semester. One Week earlier. Okay so it'll be towards the end of August and they also are going to increase the class load. They're going to add Friday classes. There may be some Saturday classes. The a purpose is to have all classroom instruction done by Thanksgiving Break Right. Two factors at play. You have your group of of Students on campus. You have a community While they're on the community there will be all sorts of you know distancing and also co hoarding things Like Nazareth was talking about the other day where you try to keep people in groups or whatever and limit transmission of whatever so anyway what they're gonNa do is GonNa Start One week early There will be Extra classes right. You're you're going to have to meet more often With with your teacher and the gold is to have all on campus instruction done by Thanksgiving and then you go home right now. 1 in 4 female undergrads said they were sexually assaulted on campus

"About one quarter of undergraduate women say they have been victims of sexual touching or penetration without consent since starting college this is according to a survey that was done this year on sexual assault and misconduct at thirty three major universities washing oppose education reporter Nick Anderson joins me to discuss this and make it according to your article this is the second survey done in recent years how the numbers stayed pretty much the same and what it what are you getting from these numbers about the reporting of assaults and how well colleges are actually handling this well first of all it's a disturbing trend right let's see knowledge that I think anybody of parents the a students an educator anybody would say that one sexual assault is one too many and so if you have a quarter of the undergraduate women at these universities saying that something of this nature happened to them it's it's gonna make you stand up and pay attention so stipulate to that the the thing that this survey does as far as I can tell is it confirms a pattern of sexual misconduct and awareness of sexual misconduct at college campuses that has been documented Studley in the last few years including far four years ago so this is this is one in a series of studies that deliver some sobering news so is this one of the cases of our reporting is better so our numbers are higher yes but so remember the D. this survey results or coming from an anonymous online confidential questionnaires that were done at Stanford University in the bay area there as well as many other universities in the research arena around the country Harvard Georgetown Johns Hopkins MIT many many prominent names so there are more women and men who are victims of sexual misconduct who are stepping forward but in this case these folks are not so much stepping forward publicly they're stepping forward confidentially to tell folks anonymously in an online survey yeah this happened to me how does that skew the numbers that I mean I am it would seem that there would be more people that would want to do it an honest anonymously perhaps rather than actually you know stand up and say their name and I met this what's the methodology is important when you look at these things so let's look at the methodology issue this is a survey of universities it's not a scientific sample they tried to basically talk to every student they could at the and all these universities they ended up talking to about twenty two percent of the students but some of the highly respected social science researchers looked at the results and they figured as best as they could determine that there were the results were in the ballpark of of of confidence that are within a couple of percentage points perhaps two or three percentage points that the that there was confidence that this was a active picture of

"Philadelphia sports. Well, college sports that I should say for almost thirty years given his prior runs with Drexel and a p- Penn university as well making the dance numerous times, but I think Belmont a better team temple. So I think Belmont gets gets through. And then they matching up against Maryland. I you know, I would say Belmont has a shot against Maryland. I just don't think that they're necessarily a good chance of beating Maryland team. That is very good. With offense defensive rankings. They're both in t- their top thirty in both instances played a tough big ten schedule matched up very well against tough competition. Marilyn plays at a slow pace. I mean, you know, they're they're in a bottom third in terms of pace in terms of tempo. But from a weaknesses standpoint, you know, they really don't have anything glaring at. I would say Maryland, you know, is is going to be a tough out in this tournament. I I really don't think that you know, the biggest thing Belmont can do or temple could as well. Depending on how the game goes. But the the way to be Maryland is to force them to turn the ball over the turps are bomb third in terms of turnovers per possession because they. Around twenty twenty percent or possessions end up in turnover. So if you can get them to speed up the pace Maryland's ball handling issues could re rather headed again. But you gotta be able to get them out out of the regiment and speed up speed speed the game up. So you know, you gotta be able to control pace and in order to control pace, you gotta be able to score. So Belmont does have the proficiency to shoot the ball. Well, enough temple not nearly as much because temp temple temples going to run the Princeton offense that dump fees Duffy's a straw as always been an advocate for. So you know, if temple gets through they got no shadow gets Maryland. I'll just be perfectly blunt it Belmont gets in Belmont has has a shot. I just don't think it. It's it's going to happen. It's maryland. Moving on to what is just. A mess of a read of a game. You got LSU which shouldn't be in the tournament. I'll get to that. Why? And Yale winners of the Ivy league this year LSU for those who don't know there's a large scandal going on in college basketball with wiretaps federal wiretaps be it catching numerous college coaches in compromising conversations discussing payments and bribes to perspective players so LSU's head coach well soon to be former head coach will Wade the guys currently suspended from the team is on multiple. Tape record conversations discussing payments and gratuities made to a player that is pretty much strongly legend to be devante smart. The star player for LSU, and what was being offered to him long story short. Wade is going to be out of the picture the NC double A, regardless cleared. Devante smart to play in the anti AA tournament. Because they cited that he has fully cooperated with their investigation, thus far, even though pretty much everyone suspect that that smart has been paid off or his handlers have been paid off. It's not anything that's relatively new in college sports. The only thing new about this is the fact that the FBI is involved with the case and ANSI AA doesn't want to outright take LSU out of an NC double A tournament. Contest. Because of the fact that LSU had a dominant SEC run this year. They were sixteen to two in the conference. They they racked up twice wins on the air. I mean, they had a terrific run this year through to be of the year until the story broke about the F B I wiretaps over the past month. So they got knocked out early in the SEC tournament..
