Who Is Dr. Robert Malone, Inventor of mRNA Vaccines?

"And he is the president of the international alliance of physicians and scientists, doctor Malone, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Thank you. Thanks a lot for the opportunity to be here and talk to you and your audience. So let's get on it. So I'm an admirer and fan of yours. I first was made aware of you and your work when you join Brett Weinstein on his podcast all the way back in April or May or June if I remember correctly. In the back in the 20th century. It feels like yeah, that was a different world. And I was very interested in that conversation and I've watched hours of your footage since because it seemed that you were confirming some of the suspicion that I had and skepticism in my head towards the current rollout and the vaccine that we are now being in some ways forced to take. Please establish your background in vaccine technology, the original inventor of MR MN RNA and DNA vaccines and talk about why and how you got concerned about this. And we'll go from there. Let's see. So briefly, the bona fides. Let's see, you see Davis, biochemistry, bachelors and science. You see San Diego and the salk institute masters in biology, MD from northwestern university in Chicago. Fellowships, research fellowships at UC Davis and a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School for global clinical scholars research training that was just a few years ago to kind of tighten up all of my credentials having to do with clinical research regulatory affairs and all that stuff also completed a internship medical internship at UC Davis. I'm a licensed physician in the state of Maryland. I did invent the core platform technology that gave rise to these vaccines. I did not invent these vaccines. And I'm a little aggravated at what's been done with these vaccines as what's happened to the technology. But I had a extensive academic career top pathology at UC Davis and new Maryland Baltimore and also was an associate professor at the uniformed services university of the health sciences. You could look up all the papers and the many patents through if you look on Google scholar is a site so you can just Google scholar and I'm having trouble with that just like you were with the mRNA. With my name on it. And you'll see the over hundred papers and 12,600 plus academic citations for the work blah,

Learning From Evolution With Evolutionary Biologists Bret Weinstein & Heather Heying

"You guys said that we are not a blank slate but we are the blanket of slates. Which i think is a phenomenal way to put this idea and wanna tie that to the title and get your guys as take so. It's hunter-gatherers guide to the twenty first century. and so the way that i take that is that notion. You have to understand that you're a product of evolution that your brain is a product of evolution and then once you understand the forces of evolution in how we got here. Then maybe just maybe we can find our way out of it. So what are the key elements to being a product of evolution. That you think people miss that we must understand if we're going to navigate our way well out of this valley of evolution. Let me say. I That the title hunter-gatherers guide to the twenty first century evokes that sort of romanticised hunter-gatherer on the african savannah of the paleolithic. Which of course is a part of our human history and does have many lessons in it to teach us about who we are now and who can become but as we say in the book we are all parts of our history like we are not just hunter-gatherers. We are also right now post industrialists and their evolutionary implications of that. Go a little farther back a lot. Farther back depending on your framing. And we are agriculturalists. Go farther back. Were hunter-gatherers go further back were primates were mammals. Were fish all of these moments of our evolutionary history We'll have left their mark in us and have something to teach us about both what our capacities are and what our weaknesses are and what we can do going forward. And i would add the lessons from evolution. are both good and bad here. One thing that we realized that our students over the course of many years of teaching this material realized was that everything about our experience as human beings is shaped by our evolutionary nature. And that has a very disturbing upshot because we are fantastic creatures with an utterly mundane mention the very same mission that every other evolved creature has to logic genes in the future. And this actually explains the nature not only of our physical beings but of our culture and our perception of the world so understanding that all of that marvelous architecture is built for an utterly mind-numbing purpose is an important first. Rose McGowan Accused Gov. Newsom's Wife of Trying to Silence Her About Harvey Weinstein

"Recall election day in california. Voters are deciding whether democratic governor gavin newsom should be recalled and if so who should replace him conservative talk show host. Larry elder remains the favorite in the opponents field but recent polling shows that new some will probably remain in office. The election grew out of frustrations with newsome's pandemic orders that closed schools and businesses. For months and elders camp has recently been trying to distract from on field politics. He was joined by activist and former actress. Rose mcgowan on sunday. She was one of the earliest women to accuse. Producer harvey weinstein of sexual misconduct. And she now says that newsome's wife jennifer siebel. Newsom tried to convince her in twenty seventeen not to go public with allegations zoos about me projects and nationalize when she says invoice shoulder to make you happy so i sent my other contact and on behalf of attorney voice who's harvey weinstein's lawyer and call rose mcgowan and said what can we do to make you all way. What can we do to make this. Happy all to be talking between now and the end of my campaign. Newsom is denying that calling them part of a politically driven hit piece. So i guess. They are doing a last-minute minute classic piece a she's a big promoter of larry elder. Apparently rose is identifying with him over us and is been making some pretty outrageous and absolutely Foundation this accusations against my wife and that just shows you how low Things go in campaigns these days.

Rose McGowan Says Gavin Newsom's Wife Tried to Silence Her About Harvey Weinstein

"Now Here's what Rose McGowan actually said at this press conference Cut 23 Go gives me no pleasure. To be the bearer of truth, which is sometimes ugly. But do you want a society that has gangrene on his leg, but puts on a fancy suit and pretend it's not there while they hobble and pain? What do you want to just stop? Look at reality. Take your medicine clean up the wound. And run. Run free. Why not change? Why not go big? Why not put a stake in the heart of evil? Because that's what this really is. This is good, and this is evil. And if you're tired of people looking at this country like the Florida of the world, which it is looked upon that way, because you know it's earned in a lot of ways. Um I know this place has it in it to be better. I know it does. I have met so many good people in this country, not the elite. Absolutely not. But the person I meet, you know That's the housekeeper. The hotel was staying at Um, who shouldn't even have that title because she's a queen of a woman. And then we have the Jennifer Siebel Newsom's of the world. Mhm. Why Why do you keep choosing that? Why do you keep electing that? Don't listen to their buzzwords called leaders, which is what these people are. I would know. I grew up in one. Like I said, they massage your mind. "So can you like explain the appeal of ninety day fiance and the shows that seem matrimony based you why i love them all so well like look. There's ninety day fiancee. There's ninety day fiance the other way there's ninety fiance heavily ever happily ever after. I love them. All and the premise is basically that you have these people who fell in love and one of them does not live in the united states. and so it's just. The american go live abroad. Does the person who's not american. Try to get to american on the k. One visa now one of the interesting things about the last few seasons i would say is that despite everybody's issues getting to america. No one was mad about trump. like i don't know of natan edited all the talk. How did nobody may lack trump fan careful and michael. Michael love trump michael on barrack and everything that he knew was based on the apprentice and read all the books so but either way when angela is with immigration attorney and she's just screaming mad about everything i was like. How is she not mad at trump. But anyway i love that. I love married at first sight. A lifetime special which is like people who sign up to be matched by matchmakers and get married and they've never met each other before i love that one. What's crazy really quick about mary for. Is that like ninety day fiance. It's the kind of person who goes on that. Show you kind of get married at first sight. The kind of person who goes on that show is like seemingly like a normal twenty three things the gamba. Yeah and it's just shocking. Not there are so many people who are willing to agree to just get married at first sight who are like quote. People wouldn't ordinarily see on reality. Tv are going on this show. You know and the thing that i like to about ninety day fiance is that you would think and be wary that the premise is just all of these people who will do whatever they can to get to america and that everybody just wants a green card and that is like the opposite kind of of what's going on with the show. There is one one of my all time fades yara currencies season. Who is like what is so great about america. You're all wanna go home. I was like girls singing. I will say the my favorite thing about happily ever after is none of those couples are happy. They seem so miserable. Unlike the why are you together. This seems so. I'm really excited for the next season because the people who really hated each other seemed to all be have made this next season Dr prescott weinstein. I you know. I saw you tweeting about this and i really curious to hear your expanded thoughts..

And basically i mean if you could just get a from absorbing reality. Tv knowledge she would have won. It's caroline rest in my god. I'm so excited to be on the podcast. I really feel like if i was a journalist that reality. Tv would be like my beat beat for writers like it would be i. It's all i know. I think that that's fine. A lot of people like reality. Tv and people want to know about what's going on behind the scenes. Like reality steve. I used to read reality. Steve a lot me too. I never wanted to spoilers. I couldn't do it. I kinda liked the spoilers. Because i like to kinda note how. The show is being edited leading up to what was going to happen because the manipulation is so interesting to me anyway. and finally. She is a theoretical astrophysicist. Who is here to talk about trash. Dr john weinstein. Hi welcome back to the show. Hi thanks for having me super excited to get tenure by being on the show that reality chanda. I want to start with you. What is the first reality. Show that you remember watching and being obsessed with and like how old were you. And what was your relationship with that. Show the real world which which season. I started watching. I've been watching mtv. Since i was three years old. Since nineteen eighty five rates so in the real world came on. I was like. Oh it's this new thing. Mtv's doing so. I watched the original the first season in new york. Which also means that. I religiously watched the reboot of the new york cast. That was paramount. Plus a couple of months ago and it was totally novel. Yeah it was like. Would you rush home from school to watch it like you would have been so like nine or ten when it was airing. I can't remember if it started before my tenth birthday. I think it started before may tenth birthday so definitely. It was one of those things that i was catching episodes. When when i. When i saw them i have the option of blake rushing home from school for or anything like that but i definitely knew who everybody was. I had opinions about things. I grew up in a very queer friendly household and so lake. You know some of those debates that they were having also. I'm i had just lived through the los angeles uprising. And so i am some of that stuff..

So how do you recommend people to go and open out become vulnerable while what i would say that it really is about finding that safe place for the couple to feel safe to communicate so a lot of times it does take couples therapy to be able to have that person who is there to kind of be that referee or that safe person but sometimes i would make this really important caveat to couples therapy or relationship work. You don't have to be in crisis or the quote unquote end of a relationship to get help. I think that a maintenance kind of couples therapy is also great. Sometimes even the healthiest couples going to couples therapy just to learn someone's baby attachment styles. Communication styles love languages in things. That maybe they don't even aren't aware of as as a relationship but it doesn't mean the relationship is bad or unhealthy or destructive or abusive. It could just mean. Hey i want this to last longer. You'll love it is funny. It's interesting you're so many topics going on there. Now thank you so much elliot reindeer. I'm super excited to start speaking with you. You want to start by telling us what was something. That was really funny. They use it as a kid that your parents. They'll talk about to this day re question. I've a few stories. Because i was very mischievous child. Well i was very curious child. Let's be honest. One of the things my parents will talk about is the thing that i did are two stories one. I walked out of my house Sleepwalking to my next door neighbor. Because i thought my my house was empty. Supposedly slept my house and the second thing story that happens a lot. Is that when i was about six. I cut the power cord to the computer and blamed it on someone else. Who's actually in the house. her name is marcus ego back in the day we grew up together And i cut the wire. This thick wire and the electricity came in said who did this and migrants like the six year old. And he didn't die. That's a huge miracle because like massive fat power cord The connected all the computer wires and everything. So they do talk about that as me being mischievous child. Could i have a lot more stories. Yeah a lot of them. Yeah i think. Curiosity is such an important base. Because without that you're not gonna learn anything can really go figure things out. So i like it when caves make trouble like that because they were just curious. I'm like let's celebrate it. They tried to learn something now. I get to school and afterwards they don't wanna learn anymore. So parents looked at it. That way when i was breaking things and you know. Exploding lightbulbs toilets in putting cream all over and lipstick on things. You know i was very mischievous child. Yeah yeah it's hard. But it's like that but i think in cages perspective of it. Okay so how has your work and things you do affect your own marriage regarding meeting as therapist. Yeah it's funny because you know. I have permission to talk about this for my wife's at a worry as a therapist who works with couples allot and in related with relationships as a relationship coach. Whatever that means in the end sometimes two things happened one. I work with a couple. That really is distressing to me. It makes me come to my wife and go. I love you so much. Thank you so much for being you. I appreciate the healthy marriage that we have..

I'm mike ocean handy. Hello let's let's just just jump straight into guests because i'm very excited about this Original 'cause member of mystery science theater three thousand annalisa wrote on freaks and geeks and a bunch of other just old time. Great comedy things. J elvis weinstein. How are you good. How are you. I'm very good. It really does trail off on all time. Great comedy things after those two you mentioned i got those though. What what else do you really very happy to have you. E- i met you. we did. We did a gig together in santa barbara. That's right a weird restaurant back room gig. It's re run by the lovely kimmy and it's a it's a brazilian restaurant slash capillary studio slash slash comedy club in santa barbara. So you sort of the comedy room is clearly. They've covered up some of the mirrors but is very definitely emotional studio that we're doing doing a show. It's a much lower form of combat going on. I know if legend couple era was this martial art but the the reason it looks like dances because it was like a thing that prisoners did but they had to pretend that they were dancing and not marshall so their captors would let them do it. Yeah you'd think that eventually the little big eventually the captors would break up the dancing then even someone is. What is the dancing. I don't know why and brazilian accent stop this sink. What he always dancing so close to the gods heads. What does that wasting kicking through planks of wood. Another dance mishap chief. Sorry yeah. I don't know i'd like i'd like the idea like it feels like a sort of great escape kind of deal right exactly. We just we just practicing just doing choir practice and gardening and pay no attention to the increasing level of around the flower beds. That thing with the iris river dance. That origin story seems a little more plausible with the you can only. You can't see the bottom half so their bodies kind of thing as you walk by the bar. It's just like dancing. wasn't allowed. Said that just like the tops after their body please completely like just having a little bit of a just. Why does that sound like a room full of people banging. Would we don't know it's like a mullet along different access access business. Top part of. I've never even heard that legend. I'm not gonna go through life. Why have facts and don't need not in these days so to that point josh we like to ask gas before we get deep into the science stories. What if anything is your background in science and that's range from clauses. People took hold till hated when they're at school or college. Two things they blew up in the woods with their friends. Whatever i once was on a show called mystery science theater three thousand. Oh i was I mocked movies with a robot. Puppet that that's true too And i had a series of high school science teachers that really disliked me and my attitude. This that's such a common thread amongst comedians who've had to guest on this show as being one teacher or a couple of teachers who just really didn't take to them. Yeah and those were all scientist couple. Math teachers had problems with me too. But but would at least admit. I was funny whereas the science teachers would not give me an empirical thumbs up and then you started working on. Msg three k. When you were still in high schools. I just got i was seventeen and i just. I skipped a grade. So i graduated when i was seventeen. Oh for that. First year of college. At university of minnesota. I was doing mystery science theater at seventeen and then i dropped out when we sold it to comedy. Yeah yeah. I obviously didn't know about until it was on comedy channel comedy central But how how did it start up. It started on a uhf station And we literally just improv. The show once a week It was joel. Hodgson who recruited traceable you and i to be the robots guys and eventually the mad scientist who shot him into space And we kind of you know. It was the basic premise of this guy watching movies and space and we kind of just took it from there. Wasn't you know we started making comments and jokes and as we started making that'd be started to feel the absence of them. You know once once you've made them so we we started filling it up more and more with jokes but the original concept was sort of to take one of those local hosted movies and actually be a good host and go watch the movie with the with the people and that was sort of so there was there was there was always going to be comments. You know we learned as we went how much we could actually pack in there but but originally you're saying you wanted to like pick. It wasn't that you were going to pick good movies and show them. It was always going to be like the movie. you know. Local hosted movie or bad sci-fi weekend kind of movies. But you know this is. This was joel's idea to to you know. Just sorta base it on silent running which was as bruce derm. sci fi film He gave it that kind of feel and then like i said he sort of recruited us and we kind of made it up. We did about twenty episodes locally and people of responded to it right away but we were. We were developing each week as we went and we and we had no time..

'Sliver of Hope.' Relief, Caution as Floyd Verdict Absorbed

"Many Americans are feeling relief over Derek Sheldon's conviction while wondering if it will actually bring changes in policing and racism president Biden says most police officers are not children most women men and women to wear the badges serve their communities honorably those who don't to must either change or be held accountable former federal prosecutor David Weinstein says the Minneapolis jury made that clear it's absolutely sent a message to the police about how they act and how they treat people the president's among those hailing this as a step in the right direction but justice step more it needs to be done including passage of legislation named after Floyd that would reform policing one black American in Oklahoma says there's now at least a small sliver of hope for equal justice Sager mag ani Washington

Disgraced Producer Harvey Weinstein Appeals Against Conviction for Sex Crimes

"Mogul is trying to get a new trial. More than a year after being imprisoned for sexual assault. Harvey Weinstein is trying to get his conviction flipped. His attorneys say prosecutors in the straw got too much help from the judge. They say James Burke was Cavaliers. They put it and protecting one steams right to a fair trial. In a 166 page brief filed with the state appellate court, Weinsteins lawyers say Burt made too many rulings to help prosecutors. One was to let the state call additional witnesses to tell jurors about allegations against Weinstein that never led to criminal charges. The brief even criticizes the 23 years sentence that was imposed on the ex producer. Prosecutors say they will respond to the brief in court. A Moscow Wells Gabriel

Disgraced Hollywood Producer Harvey Weinstein Appeals Sex Crimes Conviction in NY

"For former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein took steps today to appeal his conviction in New York on sexual assault charges. Comes as preparations were underway for a court hearing that could lead to his being extradited to Los Angeles. KCRW's Terry Glaser has more Weinstein serving a 23 year prison sentence after New York jury found him guilty of rape and sexual assault, and he's facing 11 more charges in Southern California. When it comes to the New York case, Weinsteins lawyers alleged the judge made several mistakes which led to an unfair trial. They say one of the jurors should have been dismissed because she was writing a novel about predatory older men that had similarities to the case. She was seated on the panel because the defense had run out of challenges to potential jurors. Weinsteins lawyers also claim the judge admitted evidence from three women about sexual violence that was not directly related to the case. And they say Weinstein was forced to give up his right to testify because the judge would have allowed prosecutors to question him about allegations beyond the specific charges

But we want to get right into this because we do have Jesus and we do see lock and step. What's going on in the culture and the things that's happening in the culture and we're GonNa talk about those things and say that is a point to these things and recognize that there is no victory outside of Christ and when I look at this small victory that people are talking about a victory for what they're calling the metoo movement. I'm seeing not much of a victory here and the true victory is found in Christ and while it's good when people are brought to justice. I think it'll be really good to discuss a little bit about why it took so long for this to happen I think we're GONNA talk about that at length. And if you guys haven't heard Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of two counts of sexual assault. I'm going to read a little bit from a CNN article. And then we're going to talk a little bit about Harvey Weinstein in France and the Clinton News Network. Bro Yeah sometimes I will quote from the most liberal of sources of course and you'll notice they are doing a little bit Whitewashing even for Mr Weinstein. It seems like in the beginning says the guilty verdict and Harvey Weinstein Sexual Assault and rape case is being hailed as a turning point in the metoo movement but his attorney says he never had a chance at a fair trial. The disgraced movie mogul was convicted of committing a criminal sex act in the first degree involving one woman and rape in the third degree involving another. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of predatory sexual assault involving the two women and one count of first degree rape quote. This is a big day. This is a new day. Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance Junior said. This is the new landscape for survivors of sexual assault in America. I believe and this is a new day. It is a new day because Harvey Weinstein has finally been held accountable for crimes. He committed while we may be excited. Okay and I in terms of justice you guys WanNa see Justice happen especially if women are being sexually assaulted I think that this better speaks to the culture of Hollywood. As a whole and guys don't think that Harvey Weinstein is this guy in a vacuum and this case and we all push it aside and it's no big deal guys. This is a prominent member of Hollywood. Probably one of the most prominent member members of Hollywood period end of sentence and putting out movies and the biggest movies of the year almost every single year until this whole case came out. Okay and he actually has fr- or he had friends I'm sure they're denigrating and pushing him aside now but he certainly had friends. And you guys we were going through it before we started this episode and Tony Play Clip. I think it was probably like a minute or two minutes long and it was just famous guys like Billy Bob Thornton and just famous celebrity episode praising Him but no greater praise did he get then from who many consider the greatest actress of the era. "Harvey Weinstein sentencing has been set for March eleventh the verdict comes after weeks of testimony from a slew of accusers who described alleged rapes forced oral sex and groping by Weinstein Weinstein's New York trial was the first criminal case to arise from allegations against him made by more than ninety women including actresses Salma Hayek and Ashley judge only Thurman and Gwyneth Paltrow and Mira Sorvino but many of those cases were too old to prosecute Weinstein still faces charges in Los Angeles authorities allege he raped one woman and sexually assaulted another on back to back nights in two thousand thirteen during Oscars week well for more we're joined by two guests in New York and LA in Los Angeles resent our cat is an award winning actress filmmaker and activist one of the first women to share details of Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct our cat has been closely following the New York trial of wine stain and here in New York to run a Burke founder of the me too movement she founded then need to hash tag in two thousand six to focus on young women of color who have been George sexual abuse assault or exploitation Burke is now the executive director of the newly established organization of the same name also known as me to international we welcome you both to democracy now I wanna begin with Rosanna Arquette you were one of the first to speak out against Harvey Weinstein because of your own experience with him can you respond to yesterday's verdict I think it even though it was five counts of the war I was only three counts it were we are happy it's a beginning as an opening this is very very important it's it's seismic cultural shift in a lot of ways and it's really important that this man be held accountable for his actions and to convict very powerful white male is a big deal and I'm I'm I'm happy that he's going to go to jail one way or another another enter on a burger one ask you first your reaction to the verdict but then also you should a statement after was saying that you thought that this jury works with an incredibly narrow in on just set of laws governing sexual assault the morning if you could elaborate on that what my reaction was similar to a lot of people I think a sense of relief knowing that this is not the fullness of what accountability can look like to have some accountability from a person as powerful as Harvey Weinstein knowing the survivors knowing someone personally known it just felt like cathartic to that I was definitely relieved that there was some concern there was found conviction but you know the reason why I said that a statement is because if you there was a lot of chatter about people not believing are folks like Annabella skier and her testimony and that's why he wasn't convicted on the higher charges and really I think we have to examine what the laws look like around sexual violence not that that it's not so much the the people came forward but what they have to work with the charges were twenty seven years old their statue of limitations there there's not enough law to cover the graph of what sexual violence actually is and what it does in people's lives so they worked but they had on the jury convicted once in a felony sex crime and rape but acquitted him of predatory sexual assaults the yeah according to the most serious charges but still faces up to twenty nine years in jail the New York times wrote on the two counts of predatory sexual assault the not guilty verdicts suggested the jurors did not believe the testimony of Anna Bella Chaura an actress best known for work in the sopranos your response and then I want to get resent us as well again I don't I don't know that we can assume that they didn't believe her as much as they couldn't get to where they needed to get set up to combat some of that crime and I think it's really dangerous to put out this matter that she wasn't believe right because she came in she testified about this really horrendous thing and to make that assumption it sends a message to survivors that we don't need to send if you come for the folks will believe you the laws are very narrow around what you can and that the burden of proof is very different than it is for say a civil case or a case that was more recent so I think we have to be careful about saying they didn't believe her an arrest on our cat your response well I look at everything that the queen Toronto said because she's our hero and and she's right we we really do have to change the laws that's what what's next Annabella shore of testimony I do believe that had she not done that in the court room we wouldn't be here today I think they did listen to her but because of their worst they couldn't charge for some reason something happened with the jury and I want to thank the jury for for for we're deliberating and taking the time in doing this as much as they possibly could because I actually don't think it was actually their fault in this resign or can I want to ask you and in terms of the of the strategy of why students are defense attorneys you watched a lot of the proceedings of the of the court of the trial closely your reaction to their attempt to discredit the testimony of the of the women who were are charging him with these crimes well you know that that wasn't the dirty tactics that Harvey Weinstein always played for years and years as how he manipulated people including like you know there's a lot of evidence missing in the years of cy Vance I'm so happy he's on board now but many years ago he wasn't and and so this is how he plays as she was it was horrible to watch and to be called that you know the but I felt so bad for the witnesses I they are he's on trial not the women that's what everybody forgets we're gonna break and then come back to the sars gotcha in the morning here I resign our cat is an award winning actress and filmmaker one of the first to speak out about Harvey Weinstein's abuse and Toronto Burke is with us founder of the me too movement executive director of the newly established me too international stay with us sisters are doing it for themselves and never.

"Weinstein for organizing this this is possible because of Harvey he is a wonderful human being a good friend and just a powerhouse in the fact that he and his team time to make this happen for all of you should say something about me or about this place are you all right everybody here here because of you a wonderful human being and this was just well I don't know probably is was during the Obama presidency so just a few years ago that sound bite was we we pull that sound bite and if you believe the all the women who testified against everyone seen he's been raping women since the nineties but but here you have probably the single most popular Democrat figure in the United States is always kind of it's Oprah or Michelle Obama you know there's only a few people that are as as universally beloved in all the polling and everything else saying that he's a wonderful human being doing anyone a power structure we held to account for this journalist didn't want to cover the story now they Pat themselves on the back journalist in wanna cover abstain was also connected to all of these very powerful Democrats Democrats are the ones that I've seen was they focus so much on prince Andrew because he's at least external to American politics to me is all of the presenter situation abstained spent a lot of time with bill Clinton's been a long time or some other prominent Democrats don't touch that the look I I understand that the pressures that come up in the media business it's very uncertain it's very unfair I just have a problem with people pretending to be brave when they're actually just sniveling cowards and most journalists on these issues have been a sniveling cowards isn't there's no question about that now I go to the why okay are we want to do I do I think that he has forced himself on women based on the testimony of yeah I do I think he has I think he's I think he's sexually assaulted women I do believe that but here is what I do have a problem with I think the jury had a bit of a problem with this too because they did not go for the highest counts of predatory sexual assault now we don't know exactly why that is but it now is there's now been at a very high pro and of the highest profile case you can really think of for this kind of issue there's been a standard said whereby a woman can can I have an interest in having a sexual relationship with a man and can claims that there was a an attack a felonious rape occurred and then after that felony after that criminal act that could send that man to prison for twenty five years as we see now at least that's what it is in New York after committing a crime that could send you to prison for twenty five years that woman could offer own volition not merry doom doesn't live with them not you know in fear of her life for physical abuse counseling that woman can then continue a long term ongoing not just relationships sexual relationship with that man by her own choice and then at a later date say but but that one time he raped me so he should go to prison for the rest of his life this I'm just telling him mate maybe believe in this case that is exactly what happened and okay may maybe that is exactly what happened this case this is a precedent now though the same way that I knew that Ronan Farrow after all the accolades about breaking a me too story just give it time is going to go after big Republican was very obvious they were gonna use this after you go after and they use in the biggest the biggest form they could enter the biggest shock they had against capital and he was a part of that you will now see this this your story of a case will return where a woman will claim that are very powerful man that she had a long term sexual relationship with at some point during that relationship forced himself upon her or you know she felt physically violated and even though after that she's all I I you know I love you which is what they were saying Harvey will to the women's center I I love you Harvey Weinstein they would say please spend more time with me please have sex with me again there will be cases now where going forward a woman will have that same kind of ongoing emotional and sexual issue with a man but all of a sudden she will decide that no there was I was actually raped and I want to press charges and I want that this person should be destroyed by the criminal justice system for what they did to me now if they did actually force himself on her and you know rape is a serious crime is a felony in that should be the case as we know there are false race out there are false rape accusations that occur this does happen and now this makes it much more probable in my mind he will have an even more sort of gray area accusation Donna I'm not talking to everyone since on the pressure in the sense now where I don't know what if what if a woman feels like she is scorned by an individual what if a woman feels like you know he went out and had an affair with the maid you know I'm going to say that ten years ago that one time when we were both a little drunk and he thought it was all fun that he actually raped me you no longer would be able to say but I mean we've been in a relationship for ten years and you didn't seem to think that I was a rapist for any of those years right that doesn't matter anymore Zacks this is a new thing an error were being told you have to get the videotape consent Ono even that's not enough for you have to get you know consent on apple that's not enough and we're always told him women must be believed even though we know that there are some women who live in fact lying about rape is much more common than lying about other felony crimes just a fact in the statistics about ten percent that means ninety percent of women who are sexually assaulted are telling the truth so nine out of ten women based on the numbers are telling the truth and those scummy guys should be thrown in prison for a very very long time but is there are gonna be these other cases there are gonna be Kavanagh's my friends and you will see now that this is change the standard by which a man's actions can be judged by a jury such that he will have to he will have to be able to do to prove that every act every time over a long period with a woman when there was a lot of consent if there was one time where consent was in doubt maybe have to go to prison for a long time that's a standard that we're going to go back and look at and say how is this really workable in the criminal justice system in a way that's going to be fair almost first weekday morning six to eight point news radio one thousand Katie okay nobody thinks twice about getting a second opinion on it doctor for a lawyer what about you need somebody to "So so they've gotten their very early in the morning they've been weeding they're bundled up in the cold. The cars are coming by and they keep looking at him this him and finally this big black. SUV pulls up and Harvey Weinstein gets out of the car. And it's like this is the moment he's here and one if the women tells me that she hasn't seen Harvey Weinstein in years and years since her alleged encounter with him but he gets down out of the car and his is using Walker. He sort of stooped. He's recently had back surgery. He surrounded by his legal team and he goes straight into the courthouse. He doesn't glance at the women. It's not clear if he knows that they're there and they sort of don't get this moment that they've been waiting for. Thank you for being here. You're harvey so at this point. The women crossed the street and and they give their own press conference. I think those testifying for standing not just for themselves move for all of us who will never Have even one day in rose McGowan. I stand in solidarity with the braves survivors. Who will take the stand against Harvey Weinstein? Gene moves trial actress. Rosanna arquette says a few words and basically their message collectively is to say look we. We aren't going anywhere. Even though we're not part of this trial or voices need to be heard and time's up on the pervasive culture of silence that is enabled able to views. IRS like Weinstein. And what's actually happening inside inside the courtroom on this first day so the courthouse is packed. People have been lining up since the crack of dawn to go in but it's a pretty straightforward preceding the judges spelling out how things are going to unfold in the coming days and weeks as they round the corner into jury selection so Jodie and I asked for a little while determined that. There's actually not that much to see and we hop on the subway to head back to the newsroom. uh-huh shortly after we get back to the office. I look at my email and there's a new message such coming in from one of our colleagues who sang that he's hearing that there's about to be news out of Los Angeles. Good morning morning. I'm here today. To announce the my office has charged. Harvey Weinstein was sexually assaulting two women in Los Angeles County that Los Angeles District Attorney's Office is about to announce criminal charges against Weinstein in La wants the defendant's case is completed pleaded in New York. We expect him to appear in a courtroom in Los Angeles County to face these charges. There is a charge of rape stemming from what sounds like very forcible and brutal encounter with a woman from Italy and there is a charge of sexual assault stemming from an encounter that happened with another woman literally the day after the alleged rape..

"Harvey Weinstein was known to be able to do anything he thought of himself as the sheriff in town in the same way gangs he read she kicks and screams I just froze more than once and then I just it's great that run it there or is in the movie as well because he gets my tremendous reporting around this this issue and one of the things I I wonder about showing a film like this is so much of the aftermath of the Harvey Weinstein case particular women felt like they could come forward people who had sat silent for so long you heard that one woman say she froze she never told anyone is there a certain element to the festival that you hope helps women speak out whether it be about this whether about pay equity that this in some way film can help women find a voice well I think that's the theme of the festival frankly and it's always been the theme of women in the world which is finding voices for women and powering those voices and celebrating those who do speak out this festival is all about that and it's about women who are heroes who simply just kick against it I mean opening night tonight actually I'm moderating a conversation with Kathy Griffin she who course such a not role models with that really while I'm out that photograph she did of trump's you know supposedly seven head as a gag that ready went wildly awry but what happened how often was he's quite astonishing image you ready found the hole that she was persecuted and and and trolled and trashed and I mean it was just astounding lost her income she let me in yeah and so she's made she's very a very brave fashion frankly since she couldn't get any finance so any gigs on any work she actually paid for this whole movie to be this documentary of has sort of come back sort of stand up Iraq which she created out of what happened to and it's really entertaining it's very out that but I you know even though I must say I have some doubts of what the original you know back to the photograph what happens or off which is really pretty unconscionable and she tremendously captures the fear and craziness of what happens when the full social media said a flash mob descends on you and I think it's going to be a very entertaining and and quite role conversation actually tells us more panels well I was just going to take you back on the court at the Griffin I think when we think about what the vessels about a lot of is about resilience and yeah that's what Kathy really shows and when we talk about untouchable these women who have been able to come forward in much part because of other women who have also been telling the stories and they've been in power to do that so I do think that that really comes across there's a somewhere showing called a girl from a good issue it's a drama from Ireland and it's about a woman who flees Mogadishu to become and international advocate for against female genital mutilation it's a fantastic movie it's thrilling and it's a relic of the subject Tuesday after persons based on who will be with us as well as a director and a couple of actors from the movie I think that's gonna be a really interesting conversation was also wonderful documentary about the great Texas journalist Molly Ivins it's a hilarious portrayed of this firebrand columnist who was absolutely able to take down anybody and never see it you know have no fear or favor if anybody in authority in fact the last column which was published before she died and it was published in January two thousand seven ended with this call to action we are the people who run this country we are the deciders and every single day every single one of us needs to step outside and take some action raise hell there's no question that so many of the women you know that we featured in these movies and the subjects have been able to raise hell and actually we have with this Kathleen Turner who was a great friend of of Molly Ivins to talk about Molly and the kind of hell she raised the name of the documentaries raise hell the life and times of Molly Ivins we actually the clip from the film it's a it's Molly and then it's Rachel Maddow explaining what she sees as Ivan gift and then an example of that gift after speech by Pat Buchanan syndicalist I think there's two different kinds of humor there's a kind of wonderful gentle humor garrison Keillor does it it draws people together and make it as recognize our common humanity and foibles and how silly we all are in the end it really unifies people then there's another kind of humor that holds people at the contempt and ridicule that's what I do what was unique about her was that she was not afraid to be angry but she did it in a way that male made a case she made a case that she was doing it because it was deserved and she made you laugh all she was doing it you remembered or one liners and I just don't know anybody else who does.
