But he's a guy that now understands the nuance of playing the position. And when he has to drop into underneath positions, when he has to play with his back to goal, he does that. And today, in a game in which it's more about counter attack, he also is effective. What I thought was important for his purse today is that while yes, they were set up for the counter, there was a good recognition in moments in which they can go and step and pressure, which is not always the case was first, but today they were willing to go and pressure higher of the field when there was an opportunity to do so. And that's where the goal comes from. More times than not, we see spurs against Manchester City. They're just sitting in their own hat. In this case, yeah, sitting in their own half. But once they start seeing a moment, okay, we're force someone into an area where we can press, then however states follow, it steps up, he wins the ball, finds king. And from that moment, this is what Kane has become and it's not just today, it's just really for the course of his career. When he's in that position, you already know. There's a certainty that he's going to finish the chance. That's not always the case with strikers around the world. It is the case with Harry Kane. There's a certain to his finishing, once again, today he was perfect. Is this kind of a catalyst for spurs now? Does this change anything? All we know, they've got brilliant record against city. City have never scored against them at the new stadium. They won the last 5 years. It can be, it should be you can make the argument that it will be, but truth be told, city and the way they play I think suited space. And you saw that at the FDA a couple of weeks ago. Suppose the two up at half time. And I think to a new content defense who's come under some, I've been fairly critical of the season, I think he learns his lessons from that. No. When they sign him off waivers because LAFC son of time, I thought it was a multiyear guaranteed deal. So he's still on the LAFC contract just on. It's a good hustle if you can get it, man. Yeah. I think we should probably try and see if we can get some free work out of him on ETR. That's the sort of thing Tom should be exploring right now. For sure. And let somebody else saw me do a bad contract and then lonely there. Exactly. But the big one I walked away with was if D.C. United, all of the players they pushed down after the season and all the players they brought in, even if they don't get most of them right, they'd still improve as a team. It's about ten for ten. That's gone out and in over the last four months because you include the end of the transfer window. And I don't want to knock anyone too hard, but the piece is going out. We're not very useful in Major League Soccer. And the ones coming in, they've spent a decent amount on and have a decent amount of experience. So my roster take is, even if D.C. does poorly, they still do better than they were. Well, they were also, they also won the wooden spoon. So there's literally nowhere to go. It is optimist and it's pretty hard to disagree with that. It can't get worse. The thing about D.C. though is, I think they're in this weird ground of like, hey, we won the wooden spoon, but people aren't necessarily expecting incremental improvement from us based on the signings that we made and based on the timeline that you would associate with Wayne Rooney. I don't think anybody's sitting around here in D.C. otherwise thinking like, hey, Wayne Rooney with his family across the pond with aspirations to you would assume, go back to where his career was based and where his life is based at some point is like a long run, Peter Vermeer's Jim curtain style manager in Major League Soccer where it's just like, hey, it doesn't matter. Every move can go through this filter, Wayne Rooney's brain, expectations, and style of play. Because Wayne Rooney is gonna be here in 5 years. He's gonna be here in 6 years. Let him cook, get out of the way. This is short term wind now stuff. This was, oh my God, our floor was so low. That we have to raise this floor and we're gonna do it. "Don't think that would impact the completely different experiences going to watch a League One game and watching Manchester United on television. But then if that doesn't happen because for whatever reason they advanced and they don't have the replay, then do you understand? It's a messy situation, but it's what they have to deal with. And what he's done is he's got a slide it in between the two center backs and his team attacks. Essentially turning to a back three and one of the issues has been he has to do a lot of tactical filing because he's fast players come to the midfield. Now that he's going to be 34, 35, one thing MLS is lacking is very fast guys running, running at you. So, but on the other hand, if you want to experience you certainly is a lot to give. I mean, so many people can learn so much simply by watching boost guides and how he occupies space and whatever. I wish him good luck. If he's doing achieve that goal, that's music to D.C. United fans ears because he knows he needs to create a success story here in Washington. He hasn't been coaching a long time, but the team is making a major commitment to him, contract wise. Well, and talking with the owner Jason levy and I think he just has watched him over his career. Again, as I said, not only as a player, but also I think what the listeners need to understand is the character of Wayne Rooney, the team that he took over in England, ran into financial trouble. And the last time he was here, they did win for a while and they were very relevant at the end of 2018. They got the playoffs. But it didn't, but it didn't last. I get your point there. To the point about whether he'll turn things around, no, in the long term work, I don't think he'll turn things around. But that's not necessarily based on what I think about Wayne Rooney the manager. There's a very thin resume and it's an extreme circumstances at Darby county as a really going into administration and losing a boatload of points. It's hard to judge him there. I don't think he's going to be able to turn this around because of what I think of D.C. United's ownership, right? I don't think that they're capable of providing him the tools that he needs to truly turn this thing around. But to your point, depending on where we draw the line for a turnaround in success, I think you could very much make the case that this will have a short term impact. I say that one. Because it's a thing I got wrong last time, right? I didn't think Wayne Rooney would come in and be a, the player that he was still. But more importantly, make everybody else around him that much better. He made bad players good. He made good players great and the team was good. If he can have that impact, I think D.C. United could go up in the short term. I'll also say this. I think he's got a very, very nice rolodex. And when you're Washington, D.C., it's an attractive city, but these united is not an attractive team. If Rooney can get some names attached to it, one of one of which is Luis Suárez, which we saw reported by Stephen Goff in The Washington Post. Then I think there could be a spark. There could be that lightning in the bottle, which right now herc for D.C. and I defensive about all week of hope for. Going to when you're saying about that rolodex, yes, I agree with you. If you went to a cell phone right now, there is a rolodex, a name of players, a plethora of very good players, expensive players who would come play for him, no doubt. The problem and you stated is ownership. His front office and those have been the issues plaguing D.C. United for who knows how long. They are of the lowest spending teams in Major League Soccer. United has really struggled to maintain relevance in the D.C. market. And when I think about this move, it's a desperate move from D.C. United, right? It's, hey, we tried this last time. Because you said this move didn't speak to you when he was a player and speak to the D.C. market and two. What happened to Wayne Rooney?
