"Dave in Lockport, Illinois. Hey, dave. Thanks for listening to Chicago's progressive talk. What's up? Well, I have no idea. I was listening to Bill press morning, and he had someone about from the I think it was the DNC saying they were going to have about well debates for the primary on the president's side. And they're looking for media. Now last time we had presidents media are I guess what? I'm trying to get a is. I think they should maybe try to get some of those on Fox News. I giving them good programming. I'm sure they won't consider it good programming. But it might be a way to break through that wall that sometimes these FOX viewers have. Getting the democratic message to them that. I absolutely agree though. The one time the one time in every election cycle every every four years the one time when the networks actually are forced to carry a discussion of actual issues is when they carry the debates they of course, immediately after the debates revert back to form back to horse race back to oh who won who lost who who put their foot in their mouth, and who who really zinged somebody else. And and you know, once again, oh, we're not going to talk about issues, but the candidates themselves talk about the issues, and that as you say, Dave, I forget the phrase us. But that kind of what what was the phrase, George, George W Bush's catapult the propaganda. Shoots it over the top of the media right into the homes of the of the individual people watching Fox News that would be a revelation. I would think. Yeah. And I don't think they actually had the democrat only debates when? Two years ago or two years ago? I was trying to find out who carry those debates last and it didn't look like they sponsored or had any of the democratic candidates. They only had like GOP verse democrat FOX only carried the Republican there. The Republican primaries. Yeah. The the democratic primary not the democratic primary. The actual presidential debates, but not the democratic primary. Yeah. That does not surprise me. But it it it saddens me or something like that. It's gonna be a great way for us to break through because they they they they have a stranglehold on viewership. And the viewership is just misinformed on a lot of things. I absolutely agree. And and you know, note to self next time Tom Perez is on the show, you know, encourage him to to get at least while the democratic debates on Fox News. I'm with you. Sounds like they're still looking for media partners to carry that. They have a lot of debates that they're planning on doing starting in June or something this year. Yep. So I it's I mean, they have a lot to dish out. Hopefully, they can get a couple on there. Yeah. Dave. Thanks a lot for the call. Brett are Brent excuse me in Hilliard Ohio. Hey, brent. What's on your mind? Hey town. Well, I heard about some of the the gentleman called him was saying that the knew some folks who are disappointed and and couldn't vote and all of that. And there certainly was some of that and twenty sixteen and I just want to encourage those folks that if if you are listening, it's super important, and even if you're person doesn't win and you're left with two choices, and you don't particularly care for either. There are still differences in. There are still reasons to matter. Expect that most of your audience did vote. So if if the audience that listens to you knows those folks, especially if they're young get educated on the issues. Okay. Yeah. All your congressman. Write your senators know who these people aren't they're not standing up for what you believe in. And you're young Cleese throw your hat in the ring every one of these states and counties have a Democratic Party affiliates and get in touch with those people and there's inevitably positions open to. But the, you know, the the I think one of the best ways to sell this brand I've been thinking about it ever since that caller last hour, the twenty four year old guy who said, you know, how do I convince my friends to to vote that the idea this is probably an old fashioned idea. But you know, I think it's a one that could be sold. If you put it the right frame around, it of essentially civic responsibility in the way, I'd. Frame. It is I'd say, you know, if you were walking down the street, and you saw some drunk driver coming down the street, and and you know, hit somebody and knocked him down, maybe even killed them. And then drove off and you got the license plate number. Wouldn't you feel an obligation to report that I mean, isn't that just like the minimal civic duty? Well, right now, you've got, you know, a the the the the car of state is being driven by a bunch of drunk drivers. And you know, and we have an obligation to notice what's going on. And to say something about it to do something about it. And the way that we do that is by voting. I think that's absolutely absolutely correct. I was a local union president. And I was a middle aged and married with two kids, and it is a lot. If you have that. But if you are young, and you're not you don't have a lot of outside obligations. Please get involved. I know it can be disheartening. But I want you to know that we can overcome if we get the young people involved. So yeah, we're pulling for you. And you got some votes from some of us and labor. Brent thanks a lot for the call. Very very well said Wayne in Pompano Beach, Florida, Wayne what's up? Wayne Lewis and siriusxm. Wayne, I'm gonna put you on hold Dave in Federal Way, Washington. Hey, dave. What's up? Louise, Wayne is online seven by the way. I'm sorry. Yeah. I wanna ask you this question about, you know, Trump being persuaded by the Republicans to either resign or be impeached because I see that that's coming up more and more and commentary, and there was a look Elizabeth, drew. I think her name is. She actually did a very comprehensive paper are op Ed on it about how impeachment is really inevitable at this point. And it's going to be led by the Republican. Yeah. I read it again. Now what I'm. But my analysis a little bit different Trump as we all know, his makes really erotic comment white like, for instance, the other day he said that he didn't that that the Russians invaded Afghanistan in nineteen seventy nine to stop terrorism parent, but then he goes back and forth in sometimes she makes rather inciteful comments as well. Now, the insight bowl commentary is coming from like a Stephen Kay Miller. Maybe even Bannon still even though Bannon's Al I think, he's still advising Trump harsher. But my question is, Mike. My question is pretty simple. Do you think are given the state of the world right now in how we're doing cut and run and a lot of countries, and you know, like in Venezuela. There's issues in Taiwan. There's this you instead of resigning. Trump will do something really really confrontational to to inspite. May. I believe that's case. I. I think I think if he he's backed into a corner he's going to do.

"Plumbing, heating and air studios. This is us radio. Wait, forty WHAT. Yes. Have you had a choice? To send your kid to public school or to say a charter school that focused on some kind of. Adaptability. That your child had towards you know, like they were really adept adept at math or really adept at science or really adept at writing or something like that. And you can put them in a charter school that sort of catered to their learning style. Would you do it? If you had a choice ES, what do you think the number of Kentuckians would answer that? Yes. To that question better be over eighty percents. I would hope. And yet when you bring up charter schools, if you wanna send the teacher's union into an absolute apoplectic fit bring up charter schools. Bring up school choice. Bring up the idea that your tax dollars should follow you and your child charter schools. Need a good PR person slash ad campaign. Explain what they actually are. I think they might have one now because the Commissioner of education, Dr Wayne Lewis is a huge champion of charter schools. Now, Dr Wayne Lewis, he's going to be on the program tomorrow at nine thirty five he made the news this morning over the herald leader over in Lexington had a piece about this. He's asking the state legislature to give him a funding mechanism for charter schools. Now, he's not asking for more money. He's asking for the ability to allow your tax dollars to follow your child. And use that mechanism to fund charter schools. And I think that is so common sense. And you're going to be able to tell that it's common sense because you're gonna watch the left light their hair on fire and throw their berkinstocks at the wall. Because this is gonna set them off. Because what the entire education system that we have now is predicated on the teacher's union being able to make sure that as much federal funding is coming into their school as possible. So they can waste it on whatever at anything that threatens that competition, especially. Anything that threatens that sends him over the edge sends them over the edge, and this is going to threaten that. So trust me. But when you're thinking about it from a tax payer in a pair at standpoint, I'm not a parent. I was a child once, but I'm not a parent, but I'm a taxpayer, and I pay taxes in a district that is very high because it's the highest rank school district in the state. And I don't worry. I'm not upset about that. I get return on that investment housing values. Just general liveability kids do well in school. That's good for us in the future so on and so forth. From a purely taxpayer standpoint if I had a child, and I pay X amount of thousands of dollars a year. I would love it. If my if I had a child who has special needs, and I didn't feel like whatever school they were going to they were getting the type of care that they needed or if I had a child who had a. Special way of learning or had an, adaptability. To a specific type of thing, I would want my tax dollars to follow them. So that I can because why do I pay tax dollars? So that my child will get an education. Right. And that's why I pay. That's why you pay why do you pay taxes for education? So your child will get an education, and yeah, we pay a little extra so other people's kids to especially the underprivileged. I get that fine. But generally, the motivation is you want your kid to get an education, and you want it to be paid for by the government. So you pay into it. That's how that's how it works and not forty miles across town and not forty miles across town. But what if you could what if your child had a special need isn't really all how many times you've heard of politicians say, it's all about the kids. Gad's vote for me. It's all about the kids. But when it really gets down to it's all about your kids, isn't it? Right. Like, I mean, he is apparent right? I mean when you when it really gets down to it. It's all about your kids. It's not about the kids. It's not about the other kids. It's about your kids when it really gets down to it. You're buying groceries for who who do you buy groceries for? Me. Thank you. You'll buy.
