"Wayne Jackson. They didn't say it like that. I said in my normal voice, but this is a big deal. I got to be behind a microphone and again. Whole tarp. And hope my check would cash and You know, I This was this was part of my life and part of my career in a very indelible way. So when I saw this news, the minor league baseball was slashing affiliates. I believe 40 of them were slashed. Major league baseball and all of these leagues were re affiliated and the historic New York Penn League, which is the oldest in America, which I had worked in that was talked about those two other jobs that I had. Ceases to exist. It bothers me bothers me to no end that Major League Baseball would rather save the dollars here and streamline the whole process. Then allow this slice of Americana to continue. It bothers me to no end and I realized there's some benefits that come with this. Hopefully, with this streamline situation, travel is better for the players. Hopefully, it means there's more money to go around for these minor league teams so that their facilities could be better and when you go to one of these games The stadium isn't falling apart and the netting is up to date and, you know, hopefully there's just a better experience. Hopefully the players themselves because there's now a smaller group of players playing minor league baseball with affiliation would get a better lifestyle and more money. I could pay their rent and that would be beneficial, Beneficial, but To me taking baseball away from these small towns and the fans that I grew up around. I mean, the Hudson Valley renegades. Their mascot is a raccoon. For whatever reason. It's a raccoon. Okay, I guess we have a lot of raccoon to that area. There is a woman that sits behind home plate every game. With a stuffed raccoon, and she waved the tail. You wait for the tail, and this is a woman that probably does not get out much. I don't say this, you know, in any mean fashion, she just this is her life. Her life is the 35 renegades games where she can go out and You know, Wave this this raccoon tail. And she knows all the players and she gets their autograph on autograph day and she has all the programs the posters and you don't I feel for those people that have these teams take it away from them because Major League baseball want to save a buck. I hate that. I hate that. So this is a long way of saying that I love minor league baseball. I will always love minor league baseball. I believe there's a value to it because there's a lot of people that Around America that just can't get to a major league Baseball stadium. It's not. The price is so much I mean, if you go to a baseball stadium unless it's Yankee Stadium, even the Yankee Stadium has affordable tickets at times just got to go in April or September. No, you can get $10 tickets. $12 tickets $15 tickets to most major league baseball games. But then you had on parking, and then you add on the beer, which is eight bucks or 12 bucks or whatever in your hot dogs. Now $6 or seven bucks and It's a big day out, but you know you don't have to either The ballpark. You don't have to drink the ballpark. You can go to Burger King before the game and then go inside the state even like there's a way to affordably do Major League Baseball, But If you live three hours away from your nearest baseball stadium. Which there's plenty of towns around America that do you just don't get there, So you go to your local minor league ballpark. And that is your baseball experience. Why you would take that away from people? I have no idea. Greg Larson has spent years the clubhouse attendant in minor league baseball. He's an author of clubby the new book. He's going to join us coming up in about 10 minutes from now. That is my soliloquy on minor league baseball onto the biggest news of the day. Tiger Woods in the crash yesterday surgery last night reports this morning are he's doing well. That's great. It's not a fatal crash. He's going to be okay. That's great. That's the most important thing and you could only imagine all of the trauma that his family has gone through over the last couple of years. Starting with what happened with him and healing. And then all of the tawdry exploits of his girlfriends and mistresses would have you coming out. Then he's pulled over driving while under the influence of pain killers and stumbling around that's humiliating trying to come back off of the back surgery and finally doing so and winning the Masters two years ago, which is just an unbelievable sports moment. And then this. She's involved in a terrifying crash, where authorities say he's lucky to be alive. It's been a really stressful Difficult time. I would imagine to be a member of the Tiger Woods family. I think it must have been really, really, really. Very difficult Last 10 years and maybe was a very difficult 10 years prior to that, I don't know. But just the last 10 years have been very public in how difficult they have been. And from a golf standpoint. Don't say this lightly. I think this is the end of Tiger Woods as a competitive golfer. You know, Tiger Woods was already Limited because of health reasons. Because of age. He's 45 years old. And 45. Even if your Tiger Woods is really old and professional golf, it really old on the PGA Tour. Of course, there's the senior store, but we're talking about winning majors. That's what he is going to be. That's the only thing that matters. Basically these days in Tiger, he's won every tournament ever. So this is.

"And now let's move from a life prior to salvation. And versus one through four. We see that word in verse for but but God, who is rich and mercy. Because of his great love with which he loved us. Now let's shift and see a life possessing in salvation. We want to notice some key things here that we see lives that are now alive in Christ, lives that are raised with Christ lives that are together in Christ. And lives of grace in Christ. Let's enjoy this study. First of all we see from verse five that they had lives that were alive in Christ for from verse four in diversified even when we were dead in trespasses. Made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved. Here is the beautiful grace of God into their lives that they were able to be made a live together again. And John six and verse 63. Jesus said that the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and life. When one hears the words of Christ, they were able to see that there is a better life. And then as we continue to see that they had lives raised with Christ from verse six raised us up together Planet in the likeness of his death and resurrection. We know that from Roman six inverse five from the act of baptism. This is an interesting observation made by the writer Wayne Jackson when he said Paul Additionally explains that salvation of pers when one is made alive together with Christ. As he is raised up with him. If Asians to versus five and six the raised up action quite obviously, a cures when one is resurrected from the burial in water in the act of baptism, Roman 63 and four and collages, too, in verse, 12 The grace through faith salvation process on questionably includes baptism. Dear friends don't change the dialog. We're going to note this a little further shortly. But let's notice also not only lives alive in Christ lives raised with Christ but lives now together in Christ. Notice the letter part of Ephesians two, verse six. And made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ, Jesus. The term Heavenly places is used here. Ah, Long in Ephesians, Chapter one verse, 31, verse, 23, Verse 10 and six and verse 12 and Collages three in verse two. Our focus on the heavenly places or that which pertains to what is in heaven. The focus and the life has now changed. It's no longer a life desiring self. But alive together in Christ. Then we note that they have a life of grace in Christ versus seven and eight reminds us Of that life of grace in Christ. Let's pause here and review these four concerning lives that now possess salvation. They have lives that are alive and Christ and the opposite was they had lives dead in sin. They have a life raised with Christ raised up together in Christ, where before they had a life disobedient in Satan. Have been alive together in Christ to where before we was alive that they desired themselves. We can see a total change. Now. Let's take a look at these lives of grace in Christ and see this change. Again versus seven and eight that in the ages to come, he might show the exceeding riches of his grace and his kindness toward us and Christ. Jesus for by grace, you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Earlier in verse five. We read by grace, you have been saved. And now we read in verse eight by Grace, you have been saved through faith. Dear friends, There is no contradiction. Paul is telling these Christians how they were saved. Examining the word faith from the patients to verse eight. We understand that according to failure in his Greek definition, his Greek testament or rather, his Greek Mexican. I should say he acknowledges this word. Faith is not a mere acknowledgment of historical facts, nor even the disposition to trust, though it embraces both of these Get this. They also involves a response to whatever conditions may be divinely imposed. I think all that for a moment. Faith also involves a response to whatever conditions may be divinely imposed. Dear friends. We know that from the beautiful faith chapter in Hebrews verse are Hebrews chapter 11. We respond by faith to the grace of God, the grace that, among other things, teaches us what to do. Consider Titus to 11 through 14. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men teaching us that denying on God, anus and worldly last we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age. Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from every lawless deeds and purify for himself, his own special people zealous for good works. Examining this passage of titles to 11 3 14 by faith. We respond to his grace that teaches us what to do Die in verse, 12 how to live in verse, 12. Look for hope in the return of Christ in verse, 13 and to be redeemed for himself as special people, verse 14, who are now zealous of good works. And all of this instructed by his grace that we may believe and biblical belief response in obedience to God again, it responds to whatever conditions may be divinely imposed. God's Grace is a teaching grace. Thus we learn Maura about God's grace through Christ. As we noted John 1 17 that Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. The context of Ephesians two and titles to is not teaching Grace alone. It's not teaching faith alone but saved by grace through faith as faith is divined. An obedient faith, our response to conditions divinely imposed. Let's ask the little more specifically, How were these Ephesians saved by grace through faith. Well, we know that they heard the Gospel for in Ephesians 1 13. They had heard the word of truth. The gospel of your salvation. Salvation of the gospel salvation that the grace of God brought unto man Titus two verse 11. But dear friends, they did not hear only what they heard The word of truth. The gospel was not enough just to hear it. Hearing on Lee is not sufficient. We learned this. His Children singing of the wise man who built his house upon the rock The Teaching of Christ and Matthew 7 24 3 27 off. Whom was Jesus pleased. The one that would hear his sayings and do them and were taught in James 1 22 to be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving our own Selves. We know that after hearing they believed in Christ for Ephesians, 1, 13 says, and him also having believed believed what? What they had heard the gospel of salvation that the grace of God brought unto man. But dear friends, they did not believe on Lee Let let's pause here. Friends. If faith alone or faith on Lee saved would you please consider John 12 42 and 43? Nevertheless, even among the rumors, many believed in him, But because of the Paris ease, they did not confess him less..

"David Montgomery back as rushed for 52, None right now. The Cordero Patterson five yard run has given them a 10 point lead. Let's head to met Life Stadium. The Jets have taken the lead once again against the Raiders. Here's Mike Mancuso. All right, rich 12 minutes remaining in the second quarter is now 13 to 7. It's just misty extra point, but a very good Dr. Led by Sam Donald Jamison Crowder his second touchdown catch of the day, this one, a six yard touchdown catch for the Jets, who are playing without Frank Goree at a possible concussion. So a Josh Adams and tied Johnson doing a good job on the ground for the Jets. Arnold, seven of 12 for 88 yards on their previous possession, the Raiders scored on a 79 yard drive seven plays Derek Carr hitting Darren Waller for a nine yard touchdown. Now the tight end Waller Had to be a main target of the Jets defense coming in, and they have forgotten all about him. Despite the fact that he's been targeted six times got six catches 79 yards, so just outside the covers the tight end they might play a little better defensively. But right now they lead 13 to 7 12 minutes remaining in the first half. Mike without just Jacob's Today, you had mentioned Darren Waller having a big day and that was to be expected. But how is the one game been for the Raiders so far? Well, actually not not very impressive. In fact, it's been car through the air with 109 yards. Booker has been running for the Raiders. He's got three carries for seven yards, so not much on the ground to this point for the Raiders. All right. Thank you very much. Mike Mancuso at MetLife Stadium where the Jets have a lead over the Raiders. This has to be one of their best first halves of the season, and Sam Donald connecting twice with Jamison Crowder for the two touchdowns and right now, 13 7. Of course, they didn't miss the point after Let's head to Jack Arm, Priester in Miami. The Bangles out in front of the Dolphins years, Jack. Which we are at the end of the first quarter, and Bangles are on top right now. Seven. Nothing that's courtesy of a Brandon Allen that Tyler Boyd 72 yard touchdown toss and run. Boyd caught that ball it about the twat 28 yard line, and once he crossed the 30, no dolphin was near him, so he had 70 yards of just open field. No one came close to him. The point after was good. We're on the ensuing drive now by the Dolphins that look like the Bengals have snuffed it out. William Wayne Jackson. The third apparently had intercepted the pass to give the ball back to the Bengals, but he was called for pass interference. The Dolphins, meanwhile, kept Dr alive and they now have a 1st and 10 from it appears to be about the 20 yard line. The Bengal 20 yard line is they're threatening Tolo. Score, and Titus came up for the For that first quarter. Alan was seven of 10 for 111 yards and that touchdown tunnel below Tunggal vile over just four of seven for 33 yards. Little bit sketchy thus far in his return following that the injury to a stun last week. Dolphins have three players that have been injured in this game. So far. Just moments go. Offensive lineman Erik Flowers appear to have suffered a left knee injury. He was helped off the field. The land and Robert suffered a chest chest injuries. It is in the locker room and safety Eric Rowe is being evaluated for concussion and his return is questionable as well. We're about to start the second quarter. Bangles are on top seven. Nothing rough start for the Dolphins. Not early. They down by a touchdown and yet to find the scoreboard, But they've also lost several players due to injury..

The frame by frame painting of things that were in shot how they had a direct Gabriel the stuff about the dancing chickens all that and how they pulled it all off is in the documentary we were talking about. So that's something you want to check out if you get a chance yet, it's called classic albums. I think it's on Amazon prime or access TV. So you check it out. They have some incredible albums in that series I, think they did like ten seasons of. It but there are a lot of good albums that have been put together and rock and roll. So it's a good series to check out if you WANNA learn a little bit about some of that incredible music you're listening to. It'll tell you how they got the beginning of Red Rain, which is the next single from the album comes out in summertime somewhere in there between don't give up it in your eyes and the release. Red Rain actually met Peter Gabriel it was so cool. Did. You have a conversation with him. Well, I had to look it up marcus because there was a long time ago but it was November Thirtieth Nineteen eighty-six Peter Gabriel was in town for the so tour and I was working with John Developing Mr. he was there then and I kinda got the word that I should come to the back room of the press box at. The spectrum, the Old Philadelphia, air conditioned spectrum, which is no longer there, and when I walk in the door, there's John Sitting casually chatting with Peter Gabriel and I got to spend a few minutes with them. I just found that being around him made you feel more peaceful or relaxed, and it was really nice and he was very nice. But that was an incredible night and. Just love shows we can talk about that. Maybe in the second half, we could talk more about that because I'm still digging into the singles. We're talking about a lot of records that were released a radio and you look at it one, two, three, four major chart-topping airplay records for Peter Gabriel on the so record and that's what drove the sales and made it legend. In a documentary one of the things I really enjoy and we were talking about it a little bit before we crack the Mike's when they got to the point where sledgehammer was almost done they realized that it might sound better if they put some horns on it. And they could use the fairlight I suppose but they actually went and contracting Wayne Jackson and the memphis horns and his part in there is really funny. Actually that's who's playing those horns those trademark horns on sledgehammer. It's so funny when Wayne Talks about his participation in the recording of sledgehammer and how he was told what they wanted and he's like I can do that. We can do that no problem we got it but he was like man, all these guys are so. Weird and different, and we're good at talking to people and he was really warm and friendly. But he was like I've met basically I seemed like he was saying I've met so many musicians that are so unique and so different that I've had to learn how to adapt, adapt and be able to talk to all of them and to be able to relate to all of them and he did, and if you listen to the horns the horror, they're ferocious on that album..

"Guy not the biggest. But he's but he's a team guy. And he's he's just gonna go for it. So for me, welcome to Pittsburgh, Devin Bush, I of this. Leff Bush, Tony. I think it's it's. He's somebody that that could could transform their defense. Like, we talked about all spring, and if he hits then if can't be worth every every single traffic they gave up to get him because because we seen what Ryan here can do right for what he did for that defense. And if he's that kind of player lookout. You're in food Ziada them level on a scale of one to one hundred over the Bush pick. What was it? Oh, it was. It was I wasn't expecting it. I didn't think happened to everything the nineties. I mean, I haven't been this pleased for the first round pick. And I can't remember lesson. I taught my head. I can't think of the last night was this hackers the first pick. So I'm gonna say in. Was it even sweeter because they'd be out Cincinnati for it. Yeah. It was it was great. Because it was it was kind of a little bit of revenge. I mean, you know, they took Wayne Jackson the third three years ago, which nobody saw coming really. And and they we knew they needed replacing for perfect and everybody knew that if he got eleven they were likely to take him or the quarterback state, and they get a chance they said never sorry. He's our guy is gonna be the trends, sending trans- transforming defender in this and the AFC north and he's gonna be ours. For next ten years. Not yours. Now, you know, what I guarantee you that Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert would say no has nothing to do with Cincinnati. Someone ask him as the Cincinnati. We saw guy we we didn't care who was in front. We just wanted to go and get them. But I think to a man if you ask them they'd be like a little sweeter screwing Cincinnati. And they'll never say, it's a thing. We'll never know. And I've article coming out five things we'll never know about the two thousand nineteen feelers NFL draft and one of them. But I guarantee you it's a little bit sweeter for those guys just to stick one in Cincinnati. But with that being said, let's quickly will go through the other picks I called the I did not call the onto Johnson. I do not feed coming. I love where the I don't love the comparison Antonio Brown because look that's a lot to put on a guy. But you're telling me the guy of good. Hands. He's a fantastic route runner doesn't have fewer speed that does I don't like into Neo Brown. He doesn't have the numbers Antonio Brown had but he lost a star quarterback. And they did not have a great quarterback in the Logan. Woodside was his quarterback. He did very well af. In fact, us fantastically. And last year. He wasn't the he didn't have one side..
