"The rear. View mirror. You know, we're having a good time. Brian McCain and Matt Casey on the other side of the glass. Wayne coffee, noted author will join us this hour talk to him about his book on the sixty nine Mets and really interesting stuff that and many meta later in the program on the jets draft what to expect there. We finally get the draft day Yanks with their injuries trying to get over five hundred packs and as well tomorrow, they probably will get over five hundred but then a nine game road trip and a really really depleted team. Based on the injuries flexing got bombed today for the Mets, and they sent him down and the nets, of course, losing this afternoon in Brooklyn one twelve one eight so not great news with judge getting hurt. Yanks, you know, the answer back to five hundred but they've had a very easy schedule. And haven't been able to take advantage of it for a variety of reasons most notably the injuries, and as we know and as we've said so many times the season is head of them. And I could say that a month from now and probably two months from now saying exactly the same thing that the season is ahead of them regardless of how they play between now. And then they'll never I don't think they'll ever be bad enough to fall out of it before, you know, July whatever, and I certainly don't think they'll have cemented anything by July. So these games are fun to watch. And I enjoy watching them, but their meaning is up to interpretation for sure because whether you want to believe it or not. You can always look back on these games. But the odds are you won't. In other words. There's when they're sixty games remaining. That's so many games that opportunity will be there. Like, I'm getting ready to talk the wing cough. You know, waiting coffee among the things about that sixty nine season. That's so impressive. Is that the Mets went thirty eight eleven the closed that season thirty eight and eleven. Now, obviously that's an anomaly, but the point is it's possible. So. Awful lot of baseball to be played even two months from now there will be an awful lot of baseball to be played. And it's important to keep that in mind Thomas Illinois up next on the fan. Hi thomas. Hi, Chris can put think out. I gotta weigh in on this workout topic. It's a great topic. I'm surprised it's not many more. But I did want to people frustrated I think it's not mentioned very much because people don't know what to say, they're like the professionals trying to fix it. Nobody's able to fix. It. Guys are getting hurt all the time. Well, that was that was gonna be my point short on this one is the guy I followed. Everyone is different. When he does we search on backs. Chris he goes to a slaughterhouse and gets a hundred and fifty fine fund a pick because they're all exactly the same. And if he tells you to do ten dogs and you'll do twenty well, then you're not going to get better right now. The main thing I wanted to ask you about what I want to play the game with you on this. Okay. I really wanna know your reasoning on the difference seems to be different. You Paul the masters that they don't charge six dollars for water yet you seem to cast cast. I the NHL when they go six minutes out of time out in commercial. When did I say that? Why would I care about how long they without a commercial? What are what are you trying to say? Well, I I think there seems to be good while you always seem to be done on the NHL NHL because they don't they don't promote their stars number one. And number two number two. Although although Brian made a good point to me about the fact that Crosby has one a lot lately. And Ovechkin won last year. There seems to be a latte like like Brian James has never losing four nothing in a playoff series. But Crosby just did to an island or team. That is not great is good. But not great those things don't happen in other sports. Most of the time when you have great players they make a difference in the NHL, you're able to negate those great players to easily for me. That's what I don't like about it. It is a complete crap shoot. When you go to the playoffs. And if I'm in NHL fan, I think that's great that everybody has. To earn it. But on the other hand, it's very difficult to promote stars. When you don't need them the win. They don't matter in the postseason a lot of the time. Okay. Sorry. No. No, no. That's why I called them because it seemed to be a, well, you know, the NHL they're more of a competition and in entertainment sports. Oh, absolutely. They are okay. And that's better for the sports fan. I mean, it's better. But there's so many people who are fringe fans of the other sports who are not fringe fans of hockey because they don't know anybody, and there's no more Mariel amuse anymore. There's no four hundred goals in a season. There's no hundred point defensemen. You know, it's not rai- board, and Al MacInnis and Paul Coffey. Those days are gone. It's a much quieter competitive two one three two league. And it's harder to to jump on. That problem. We. Part of the reason we'd never embraced soccer. Not enough scoring not enough stars people. Excellent. Yeah. Excellent. Well, my I actually said that if you sit this you once before the third fourth point players are so good now that they can shut down two stars day after nine salute that they can get in the ring any bigger, right? The ranks of the saints is always been all right, man. All you go. That's good conversation. There's no doubt. You know, there's no doubt that. You know that? The rank is small for today's players, and you can you can look back and see easily enough the average size of the NHL player in one thousand nine hundred seventy five or eighty as compared to the average size of the NHL players today. And with the rink the same size. There should be. There should be a correlation with lower score. And there is and obviously the goal is so much more athletic now, so much more of a complete athlete than back in the day. Kevin montvale New Jersey next on the fan. I Kevin how you doing good? What's I get a little bit into the? The strengthening dishing injury. So and so forth every talking about the four major sports every sport shoot app strength and conditioning as part of their program, and they do yes, they won't saying is it was one call that said that, you know, baseball players are, you know, Doug doing too much and that's causing injury. Here's what one of the biggest problems is what one of the biggest problems are as far as injury prevention and strengthening conditioning, number one is obviously should be switched is in many cases, position specific and more importantly players to civic, and but professional leagues believe it or not are resistant to change, and they are behind the most modern and state of the art techniques that are available today. And and if they would embrace those rather than resist those there's always going to be injuries. There is no question. About that. But I think that would be less if they would embrace the state of the art techniques that are out there today that they are resisting. And are you are you involved in training? Legitimation of professional athletes in my family and very close to a lot of state of the art trainers conditioners, and people that are now working on. Better message for the cure of the cure or the quicker concussions and re reducing the symptoms in a much quicker method. I am part of that. And I'm beginning foundation that that is is is going to get involved with that. But I don't wanna get into me. I'm just talking about knowing professionalize the athletics. Like, I do a lot of these people are using methods. I don't wanna say are. But there'd be hind the time. Yeah. Thanksgiving, I appreciate the phone call I have questions about how much rest is really proper how how much time should they actually be off? And then the length of the workout when they do have it. What should that be like? And do they take enough time off and the other question? I have is. Let's talk about what kind of damage can be done. Before you get the advice at the major league level as a fifteen year old to twenty year old athlete. Who've maybe not getting the best advice. How much carryover is there from that lifestyle and work out too? When you become a professional athlete, I wonder about questions like that Wayne coffee around the corner, we've talked Mets baseball on.

"You didn't even get the may I as a reasonably healthy team. So I feel for you in that regard because it is harder to watch it is harder to get excited about it's harder to be optimistic about and it's harder to rub your hands. Together, we talked the last couple of years about appointment viewing. I wanna see the Yanks times. A Yankee game. I wanna watch the Yanks. You are out and the whole outfield out now. And there's no question. This will be a big deal. Again, and athlete that so big and so strong. It's going to be a big deal. You know, one of those things is like a calf where you can't really. You. Gotta wait. You got to wait. There is a lot of treatment that's going to change that oblique muscle into something that he can use. In the tort that he he. Forces and pressures on his body. Just not going to be. It's just not. So they're going to have to tread water and try to play five hundred baseball which luckily today's baseball they can because in today's baseball five teams get in. And if you're not one of the best teams, I don't wanna see in the postseason. Anyway, if you're not one of the top five teams the American League. I don't wanna see anyway. So I feel bad for them. And I think it's better to happen now than August or September. I know all the games count. But let's face it. The reality is you'll get to August. I you'll look at your schedule your record. And what other teams are doing and your season will be determined from August first to September thirtieth. That's it. Tough loss for the Mets today. You didn't expect much out of flexing. Obviously again, same rules. You know, you're going to get injuries. I don't know. I mean, no one knows about the Graham. We know they rely very very much on starting pitching. But offensively they've been better than we thought different expectations there from that everyday lineup, and I'm cool with it. I just want to let her affiliate get real hot and make it seem you know, because I don't think they're built the win. A lot of games in a row. I also don't think that they're gonna fall out of it the way they have and in the last couple of years, I think they're going to be around. So we got we got a hope. With their having less depth than the Anki certainly that they don't get nearly the injury bug. That's hurt the Yankees. We'll get to the islanders. We'll talk to Wayne coffee about his new book, which is great and deep and a guy doing what he loves always produces something. That is excellent. We'll talk to me about the jets, and we'll talk to you Chris more here till nine on the fan..

"The last thirty game winner, we probably will ever see and the collective batting average in the major leagues that year was to thirty seven. So the games were attendance was down. Tv ratings were down people were like rigging their hands over the complete lack of offense. And and while the Mets were not by. No means where they offense of juggernaut. They didn't have they really couldn't hit. They were in the bottom of the league. And just about every category. They didn't have a guy who had thirty homers or hundred RBI, but but they could pitch and field, and they and they had this gift for for winning crazy ballgames, and they really did a lot. They were the greatest story in baseball in sixty nine and they think they've really did a lot to sort of rectify the the millennials that people perceived. Bad as they were for as long as they were bad. Why do you think that they that? There was such a special passion for that team. Well, I think it really goes back to the the dodgers and giants bolting for the west coast. There was this huge hole in in New York's baseball heart and when the Mets were born in sixty two nationally baseball was back, and and people just embrace them. Like, nothing I've ever seen. You know with the fabled Yankees or the fabled Yankees. But in sixty nine the Mets how drew them by more than two to one. They were the biggest draw in baseball by far and. It, you know, I really think it just sort of goes back to the, you know, they ancestoral history of, you know, the National League ditching New York City and the man the Mets were were the the ones who kind of healed helped heal the wound. And you mentioned, you know, this is nineteen sixty nine a lot going on in the country, and they seem to be sort of like the counter culture team in New York because the Anki had been such an establishment for so many years. That's right. And you know, Mickey Mantle retire at the end of sixty eight now here come the Mets. And and they were and it wasn't as you said it was an incredibly fractious year divisive time in our country in fact during game four of the World Series. The biggest antiwar protests in American history was was raging from coast to coast, in fact, outside Shea Stadium. They had without his authorisation. I might add. They had Tom Seaver photo on the cover of the leaflets. They were handing out against the war. While Seaver was on the mound. Say winning his only World Series game of his hall of fame career. So it they the Mets just did a lot of I think a lot of healing. They this was a team that was impossible to dislike. I know. Cub fans Orioles fans might beg to differ. But you know, you had all these all these role players platoon guys that Hodges used and and somehow they were they were sort of the baseball the Cleveland of the little engine that could and you had to really had to love it. Again, we're talking with Wayne coffee, the author of the new book, they said it couldn't be done the sixty nine Mets New York City and the most astounding season in baseball history. You mentioned the cubs. I think if you were to rank historic pennant races, certainly seventy eight Yankees Red Sox should be in that. But so would the sixty nine race between the Mets and the cubs. Oh, yeah. And I mean, it looked as magical as the Mets run was BUSTER they they looked like toast and mid August. They were ten games ten games out. They'd actually fall into third place and the and the cubs with hall of famers all over the field. And and all stars to boot were just a prohibitive favorite. And then they just completely imploded in the Mets from from that date, but they were August thirteenth till the end of the year. They were thirty eight and eleven and meanwhile, the cubs I talked to Phil Regan whose was the cubs star relief pitcher. And now, I'm minorly..

"Toronto. Fixing eleven. Not really off to a flying starting in the leases, usually. Good for you. I mean last year we saw the Red Sox runaway Anki anyone onto games last year. But Tampa it would ninety. Often doing really really well and Red Sox mean the Orioles seven at ten. That's that's good for him. Right. But if they lose this question for Yankee fans, and I'm I'm gonna go negative. They lose two games. The Red Sox who aren't playing well. And they lose two games. Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. What what's the threat level? For Boone is this is a start. No, give me George was here. Joy just in here. Son. I don't think bill's going anywhere. But and he does have the few guys on here. But I will be curious to see, you know, this Paxton get it together. Finally. If Paxton has a bad outing. And hap has a bad outing. Playing a team that hasn't been playing. Well, Harrison can't get out of their own way. Then what? In the Bronx, though, less. And they will be restless to say the least. Their arrest. This will be the natives will be restless, it's. Hundred wins last year. And you know, you've got injuries in the sad thing is it's injuries to guys that you expect it to do a lot of things. You knew wasn't going to be out with going to be out for a while. But stanton. He's been here. Four forty five. Fifty home runs easy. So easy. Hicks is it's a minor thing. The back. No it wasn't. Severino. Nobody expected that. I still haven't been on vacation. I was looking at some of the minor league box scores. And it'd be like do our. You know, I'll I'll find out sooner or later, I guess he be rested. And you find out he's got a partial tear labor. Like, I said, they don't heal that easy. You'll need surgery. We'll well Sunday a went to Yankee Stadium that CD Yankees play. But actually within basketball some tickets for June tenth and June. That's when the midst play the keys. The ticket prices has really not so. Oh. I picked up tickets for the store night before he was the bobblehead for the David Cone. So within in prices have gone down or your prices have dropped for the public tickets fully June tenth and June eleventh when taking costs before he buck. Gillete Cosby forty and should actually own the rail with three hundred for the David coons got it for twenty one bucks. Oh. Location. This is three hundred and Yankee Stadium. So that's definitely a third level. What does that usually go for? When I went toward the Mets Yankees last year Iran because one hundred per game. Why why so low now the first personal, you know, quite a few of the Yankee hurt and. Yeah. They're not doing that. Well in in and standing, so I would look at the thing of economic supply and demand right goes down for time sublime like he going to buy stock you buy low. And also, you know, you'd rather, you know, if you if you reduce the price of tickets, if people gobble them up, and you got butts in the chairs nobody's saying, oh, they reduce it just eat people who chairs. So treat I'm on a rail and his Noah blocking view. So that's the good thing about it. The only thing is listening to you nothing was the exit. I think too much about tonight's ago. Thank you. With the bonds, nor will maybe find the book one hundred eight stitches, okay, but get guess what the head of my hand. But the book says they said it couldn't be done wealthy. You start reading it yet. Up here. I go whatever. Oh, but when you talked about it with the guy Wayne coffee, I feel I get the book there's one for you to you in coffee did mentioned above. When Gary and no T-Bone home plate ba- catches daily grill. Yeah. Ever see their ability. Now, I asked him he was he's not in the book. He said he asked him a few times. He just didn't want to didn't want to be interviewed. I never saw him. 'cause I grew up as a kid watching the Knicks. I never saw him on kindness corner till? He was a mystery he played. But addition name saw him talk to the media. So knowing what was that about? It was pretty exciting. Tony yesterday who see Tiger Woods win. Masters. I mean that was just unbelievable. I did have told his rookie cards. I've sold. I could kick myself for that. Title guard came to the black box hit home these call fus in there from the beginning to is. He was last one in the set in the back of the car. You're shows him hugging. His father. He won the master's. So what tools rookie causing fooling not? Yes. Upset on thing. Anyway, I be worth a few bucks. I would think. Wait till you make Sheldon I enjoyed your conversation with Wayne coffee, and I just couldn't help that head to go by the book after you them talk to give away to be. When are we pleased? Thank you so much and having a nice day. All right here. We had Wayne on talking about the book of in for two segments. It was so much. But I asked him I said you didn't what happened the grody? And I'm like did he pass the something? He said, no, he he just didn't want to do it. He said that guy asked him quite a few times that he relates the story. That crane Poole said he was he was. Locker with next to each other. And he said he didn't like you guys right at the light me. And like, you know this ornery, so it's gonna Brandon Middletown brand what's going on. Hey, bob. How are you? I'm all right. How're you doing? Well, my lady was out early ship. Otherwise, I'm fine. Tony. The thing about the Yankees. Like, I'm saying, let's we don't compare notes. Now, you had a Jacob the Guam to bet out. It's back to back, right? And it was back when back bad outings, right that we care about the box all his first two games. And then a guard just got blessed? Is that everybody's got to pay these things with about half Paxton Tanaka? What is bad outing and the Mets knew that. I'll tell you told me I met pitching between guys bed with the Yankees gut. It's early it's cold outside. Let's guy what what's another woman. He was reactivated. Nice. That's the last excuse because you know, I said you're you're in which on the weekend. You know, you getting ready for the season in eighty five degree weather to come up here. And it's like, maybe fifty. Yeah. The mushrooms are not going react to say because they need heat actually function. Right. But you know, sometimes people can get that. I know I understand the Yankees that the injury bug. I mean, but that's what. Some of the top players. Tuna topped players might not play this year. That's about Aguilar and seventy. Oh, yeah. Now as far as biceps break. What was that about? I mean. The brand they said he got it. From slinging the band. I mean, that's how I guess you hard swing. I don't you know, guys get the strangest in injuries these days. And that's that's something. Nobody expected. You know, you you knew Severino. I mean, you knew. Didi wasn't going to be around for a while as you prepare for that. But you know, stand you count on him for maybe forty fifty home runs. And now, you know who what? Timetable for him to come back. Now, it's winging swinging the bat and he's getting a couple of Miley. Guess you feel fine. Yeah. Hopefully that goes back now what about these two? This is this is uncanny to whiskey and Sanchez five to say right now. Next. Explain camp injury. Heavy. This is this is this is unreal. Now, I'm not to Lewinsky being heard, I'm not surprised at all. Sanchez when they said he was having some Lowell leg issues. I'm like, oh that doesn't sound good. And then this know in the was dialed injury list. Yeah. Well, what can you do? I mean, I'm still I'm still. But yet they need Nick a couple of changes question in my mind about that. I mean, I'm looking at the dashing his last Tyler. Catcher. Because now you wondering you they said minds banged up. Everybody's banged up. And anyone next thing. You know, he's on he's on the end of this. I'm just wondering, you know, if he should he should be starting tonight. I would if he's not you more seriously injured. I mean, I mean the guy hit the ball last year does the minded so we need that hit the ball. Now. Got everybody has got to step up. Well, I spent a little one. Because he has one time batting champion who's not doing that bad. Like, I say, it's cold out. I'm being very patient. I'm not going jumped ship. But this thing about Dallas, gyco me I go along. Now. Like, I talked about this before his reason why Houston did not recite up here. Let's like the reason why they did not beside trolley more. So I think yanking realize that aside ellsbury why it beside L type were all good. So. It'd be more cautious. Now. I know I think you're right. But you know, right right now. You need Paxton and have a good game. You need have to have a good game. Because I changed the narrative. Okay. Now, you know now getting somewhere that that's that's what it is. Because Paxton have have big games him. How many more, you know? I mean, it's like the Mets of familiar you're gonna keep putting these guys out there. But it gets you know it rattled nerves. If you're a Yankee fan, we'll come back with some little stuff on a mess. Right. After this. Great listening to sit a little Wayne bring coffee and talking about because even though you know with contemporary. I will I'm gonna Yankee fan, but I grew up with the Mexican full and one of the things that it's gotten this uh paying would you talking about Duncan then he was actually traded to the Houston Astros for for eating never reported. He didn't wanna play for Harry Walker. The manager. And yellow that's something that's forgetting and. And they rearrange the deal. And that's how you won with the with the Mets. And is I guess the richest is Wayne adjust invested in the book is he he he didn't want to report because the add some tension would walk racially didn't wanna play for him. Oh. He's going to retire. And then they sent him back to Montreal. And just any commissioned one to stay. It was it was it was interesting is an in-depth story, but any wind up eventually with the Mets. Yes. I know the into it. But I I remember that you know, the kid I was sixteen at the time. And I remember just that was notable player not wanting to to report, and then came over and Pittsburgh, let him go in this special restaurants. They wanna win star your to first base, right? Yes. They wanted women start you fish versus. So they let down and go and the expansion Montreal. And a lot of veterans. I remember the first game. Now, actually changed any. Maybe Demetz te ten tonight I in very first game in April sixty nine. I don't remember that they. Bully boy got the win. Always. Remember Duffy, diet, a pinch hit three run home in the ninth to cut it the one I just couldn't pull it out. Hey, listen, I'm gonna let you go. But you know, as a as a nets fan from the negoti America, some eighty eight and I said, it's a great. You know, I I know you and I go back to the toll in the mid and and the west siders and all that. But it's a great day. It's only one game one Tony. But let's let's let's keep the whole gift like the nets upset the seventy Sixers back in the eighty. Yeah. I remember what when the seventy Sixers. The number one senior. Yeah. Yeah. I I'm picking the nets take them and six Jacob. Ben Tom's river. Jacob you're on the fan. Tony. How're you doing? All right, man. How are you? I'm great telling him a big fan of yours. Oh, thank you. I really want to talk about the Yankees. But I let me make a few quick comments. I let's go island is. Yes. And I'm not I'm not I'm not have to civilian islander fan. But you know, it'd be nice many New York team to win something. Playoff game. The nets one one exactly that's my next point. The Brooklyn nets. I'm a huge fan. I I came in that Sam when I wanted to take my wife the basketball game and the Knicks not doing well. But the pices where a lot more expensive than the nets nets game. You know, I like the nets for a few minutes was I liked the ownership and the leadership there coach he gets the most out of his players, and they're not that they're not selfish vocalist, and he just listened in the most talented players like the warriors. But they got a bunch of good players. And if they would to get like somebody like, Kevin, Kevin Durant. That would literally in my opinion, put them over the top. And they have cap space for next scene. Now, we got into Yankees, you know, I don't need to say this the wrong way. But we do. You guys are men. They get paid a lot of them. I I feel like every single time somebody, you know, has a headache over there. He gets into it. You know, I I have a lot of different little injuries. But I go to work you got it. Some of the different. I mean, I if I pulled my bicep muscle, I can still come to work, but they can't hit like that. And then in seventeen Severino. And then do hard. He may he may be looking at surgeries. I think they have a little more serious than you're saying. No, no. I hear what you're saying. I'm not saying that some of the players that might be right? But if you look at it now, it's literally have the team on the engine. You got you got Sanchez. You got you got the total whisky. You have ellsbury at hates. You have. You have what's the guy's name. He was short. That'd be amazing goriest. You got Severino. You got the tensest. It's crazy. It's it's nuts. The I. I agree. But remember, this is different. You know, you, and I, you know, you sprain your ankle, and you can hobble to work you sprain. Your ankle. High ankle sprain in baseball. You. "The Sixers to school. And you know, rightfully so then that's just like the nets. Do. I mean to go to conference final about all that. But I think they can handle the Sixers out, you know, Embiid and Simmons and Butler their elite players. And I think Simmons he's I think he's got a steely I and could lead a team the problem is you can't shoot. And this is funny. He has no jumped he has no point shot and usually won't take it. But then you got him be who's your center hoisting threes. It's like, dude. It's like you got Allen and foul. Trouble early. He got their gotten fall early. Why don't you? Download trying to get everybody else in trouble. I I don't get it. And then you know, the way of telephone thing is one thing and Jimmy Butler. His his face has said how many more days until free agency. He just like I said he's one of those guys minds via Karbi just doesn't seem to be happy. No matter, you know, you wanna championship. You're the big shot in car is still Do I see him going Lakers? No. And if you didn't hear Luke Walton five acres he's gonna go to Sacramento he'd say signed a deal with them. And I think that thirty nine wins big turnarounds of probably got the coat. Hey, he's got he's got a good team to go to. So for tonight. We heard from Brian McCann of private camp. Brian Mahoney of the he's disabled list Mahoney Associated Press the NBA and the the Magic Johnson situation the playoffs. We had 'em on we head. A few minutes ago. Talking about the masses at twelve o'clock, the tease it got two part interview with the Wayne coffee form a daily news reporter, he wrote the book on the Mets they said he couldn't be done about the sixty nine minutes. And he interesting story chance to tape. It a little earlier. Just the team in general personalities. One thing. I will let the cat out of bag 'cause asking about various players on that team. And I said, did you get Jerry grody is is only as people said he was that. I spoke some quite a few times, and he declined quite a few times did not want to do it interview. They told the story it Coleman at crane Poole say he used to his locker was right next to me just as badly defeated you guys. It's so he just didn't wanna do it. Maybe just figured you know, that was in the past. And I did it I'm done and I'm moving on. But he just you know, I was wondering how many guys when you do a book like that. He he seemed everybody was receptive to talking. And and you know, I guess glad to be remembered because when you start thinking of fever and all these guys, and you know, the guys we grew up watching their all men now with health issues a lot of guys on here. And it was it was it was good that they were able to you know, we live the glory because sad thing is guys died anything. Oh, he was a member of sixty nine minutes. Okay. That's how about they'll let him enjoy it. Why still alive so it will start to wane coffee at twelve o'clock. We've got a couple of peace of with him. Because it was it was a lot to get to. And I, you know, I know. That's that's a team. I grew up rooting for you know, there's a bunch of us voted for the Mets. Like, what are we doing for this losing team? And we just became our team. What can I tell you one thing out of out of the? Can no the cat out of the bag. The audio book is being done is done by Gary Cohen. So that that should be really good. Plus he's from that era. Also, eight seven seven three seven sixty six six seventy as a fan before we get to Wayne of top of the hour. Come back and take your calls. Little manful Yankees, little masters, whatever's on your mind, we come back right after this. And now a page from the diary of Flo. "Hey, how you doing? Talk about something actually check, you know, not for anything. This mash unit is unbelievable right now. I'm wondering what's going to be on the list today? Every day seems to be a new new addition, you know? Believable. Tony. This reminds seventy. It was a whole here pretty much. Oh, yeah. Everybody. And then all of a sudden, you know, this is all happened within like a ten day period. I mean those little longer than that. But just one one day somebody new I on serious the pitching seriously. If you think on it really what is the deal with the pitching right now. Just not very good. I mean, everybody's working on something agrees working on something to have working on something. I it's like this. Maybe it should have been worked on spring training. Ready? We've spent a lot more to happen. And he can't even give you five innings. I that's that's the problem. The problem with the pitching is not taught to go deep into the game. And they a lot of pitches. And then the next thing, you know, they're out of there in the bullpens. It'd be taxed after a while. Clipping I in clippings that you know, that they're invincible this year. And you know, they have this great team and this and that early but still I would say instable the guys that I know that 'cause this team looks invulnerable. That's a show I worried I worry about it. Because a lot of these injuries are not something that's going to you know, you're not coming back in a week. You know, you're going to be out for a while. And and you know, with batons, you know, you think about it. You're not going to do anything for three weeks. And then they'll you know, they'll start you like spring training. But what if after three weeks, it hurts just to do little things, then you know, you got from money hands. Exactly, tony. And as far as jets go for anything. I I'm telling you. I know I am not giving up that third pick. Tony. I'm that. Look, let's face it. It's taking almost fifty years but jets the finally have some kind of stability. Right now. And they do have some stability right now. I think they do Tony. I really do. They have a they have a really good quarterback right now. I love Sam they they have a little bit to them. They only get better. But the thing is right now to get that pass rusher. Tony you have to get that pass Russia, and they gave up on three absolute absolute mistake. Now. I I mean, they that's a good pick. You gotta use the guy that that should be starting and be there for at least ten years and not Bosa Tony because when I say not both from what I'm hearing. He's got a bad wheel. And why Evans name would we want? Do we want a guy with a bad wheel? That'd be perfect. But you know, why? Because they think if it's not that bad. He'll he'll and we gotta steal. Yeah. Jets steal fifty years. What did you think of the new uniforms? I love the white. I love the green. I'm not. So the black is at at. It's okay. I mean what they mean? I mean, if they if they win they'll be meaner. I look I could be seen through if you. As long as they're winning. Thank you. So right. Love winning. Who cares? It's going to be Kane Janka speak on the fan. All right, man. How are you? Okay. You know, I want him playing third base at studying there. Yeah. I don't want him to go back and forth. All time. He's hitting well leave him at third because eventually cesspit is it's gonna come back and he's place else. He's been go. Then you gotta move to the kid around again, get them. Get them used to it. Now. Everybody. Worrying about inflation player. I wanna have designated for a sign. Yeah. A upset whole apple caused. You know, recalling set about day alert alerts. Negative. That's what's up right here is go back to Cincinnati. But it's twenty five let's all be back average and sixteen meeting with whole runs. That's the way. I feel Tony. I like the way look I mean less there. We score like towards re runs the game. That was about. Oh, we got the check. About behind. I feel good. I feel like cut back. Yeah. No. I like last you get behind a couple of runs you like, okay? Forget it, but you know, doing well without canot nemo and nemo show life and then Cannella hitting an RBI. So maybe maybe starting to come together. Yeah. Solid to see what more world every you know, push you eighty as a whole. Bye bye left. Iraq, those two with what more what what what for? That's. All right. We all want to see at least one more in our lifetime. No, it's. The Mets of you know, it's you wanna get excited. Really nice start last year. But but I get I would just deal to me. It should be this time. Frazier went down put McNeil the kid can hit and he's still hitting. And you make it easy. It's you've got enough guys that can play the outfield homeless homeless down till cesspits comes back and even wild. You should be good. But I let him get used to being third playing third base to one you don't have to move around. And then he's also third base for the future. There's no need to get an ease. The guy. Phrases just here because he has a contract. It's I know he's he's a leader. And people look up to him. But he shouldn't be playing. If you know if you've got somebody who's young and hitting now been Neil is hidden to twelve and struggling, well, maybe take about setting him down. And that's that's fine. But he's not struggled to be out there all the time. I thought they would you know, would the way Dominic Smith was hitting. He wasn't gonna move. Lonzo. I but I had them playing left field last year. Why don't you take them out feel this year? Now, it's they'll move them around again that's one but he's gonna play that's left field. Nice job. I will six innings the most important thing six it's a strike only three walks. And now he has to come back with another good game next next start. And while chatting, I put yes. Just watch gangs kind of fall apart thinking about they were leading four to one and half. Couldn't hold them. And you know, I know people look out how excessively was last year. Consecutive wins eleven it's not going to do that. But you know, you figure he's a guy that should be able to go six to He's the type of guy that should be to long enough that the bullpen says. Okay. I know I'm not pitching today because I picked yesterday the day before. So I get a day off 'cause he's going to give it some time. He's gonna give us a meetings. His is a scary part cici's pitching today. And I don't I don't know. I have no idea what to get out of them. I think if you get four you got four shit on them today. That's that's for Mendes because then he can go longer. You know, I know we can go. He probably wants to go seven. But I think the Yankees will be on real close. Just just to keep an eye on them. You know, coming back from NEA coming back from the heart. Even though he's been cleared everything, you know, you don't wanna sit them out there. You know, because he he's probably thinking I need to go seven and give the bullpen tonight off. And Yankee probably saying we can give them to the fifth inning with good. We'll get him out, and he'll be maybe he'll go along with the next one. But then again is this. On aside of the equation. They maybe he doesn't do. Well, not saying because anything's hurt. It's just like everybody Yankees every picked the mechanics they work at maybe the Canucks off. Maybe he's too hyped because he's coming back. Any knows. This is the start of his last year. And you know, the Anki fans go nuts big standing ovation, and you know. He has to focus after that point. And you just get to hype like some young kids to he's been around for a while. I used to be honest. Well, think about it. Think about it. You know to last go round, you look everything a little bit different. You know, it's the season goes on. It'll be my last trip to. Toco, it'd be my last trip to whoever will become a here anymore. I just hope he stays within himself and just just. No injuries. That's the other thing with the Yankees. Now. Can we get to it day without injury? Batanes of injury makes me makes me nervous because. You shut somebody down then they have to you don't start up with baseball titties right up. But you know, they don't send you down for three weeks. And then you're on the mound. Soft toss. You know, you just. You doing all the exercises to get the wrong ready? I think it'd be a while. I'm not you guys have sold originals. Elbow. You know? Forum starts hurting flex flexible, tennis, hurting, elbow starts hurting. You know, Tommy, John, we all know that. Shoulder start hurting. I it's like get him to the hospital special surgery. It's because it's like give give give him. All right. Let's find out what it is. It's funny. I was reading a story breaking of a while ago that the Yankees new the Tana's had a bone spur back in two hundred two thousand six. But they didn't worry about it. Never bothered him. Both do tend to you know, bigger over time. But. That's what you know. That's what they while. Shut him down for three weeks and do nothing. And you started up all over again. And hopefully, there's no setbacks that's. And food Hicks. The other the other who've been like it was going to be much of anything. You know? He's listening to. Break on the other Ella motto talking marriage, but talking about Hickson. Oh, he's he's running treadmill. He's really that's baseball activity running the treadmill. If you're in good shape, you go out run. But I think the fed Miller just trying to make sure his back this doesn't activity. Let's face it. Backs can be tricky back and shoulders. A lot of people a lot of pain with their back. If they Valla hit something or it's. The way it is eight seven seven three seven sixty six sixty six twenty. We're going all the way to six Michio takes coming back nine o'clock judge Willis from the of the post at the masters. At eleven and some point. We'll talk to. Wayne coffee from daily newsra right wrote the book they it couldn't be done about the Mets. Was really like John John John economists in the point like, I agree with you that it's interesting. Join I agree with that. We're saying of the guys who don't need to write a book write Ron tops the list wrote the book, we understand, okay? Why not why wouldn't he do that? But right. It's a different story. Well, didn't need to write the book. I mean, most people right? And I love Ron John Reid. If you lose I love you. I just don't understand why you wrote this book. That's all you're going to read the book. I'm gonna read this book read, it how many baseball books I get in the mail. You have at home. I mean, I got like I like a bookshelf. It's unbelievable everybody, but me reading a book. Sure. Yes. I think you should write the autobiography okay unabashed of Albert bell. Autobiographies biographies. You writing about yourself. Okay. Technically album, maybe even help you. Right. You never know. No. I don't want to know. Thank you guys can write that book. I don't know. Book and that was. At him. Wayne coffee on he wrote a book about the sixty nine minutes has to be right up. Your alley. A lot of books. Standing over is a good book about the unwritten rules. The baseball Nova Danny I have no clue where he worked at CBS for awhile. He's a Bleacher report. He the writer on nobler nobler Elliara. Okay. Yes. Good books out. But I I'm really looking forward to the darling book concerns excitement surprises over the first week of the year or. I mean, you know, Orioles winning games, you know, the Mariners up to this kind of a start. Yeah. My god. A lot of a lot of shocking. Cycle or kimbro, by the way, we're a week into the season. Yes. I do believe by. I'm glad you bring that up. Because now you reminded me because I keep reading this stuff, which is probably a lot of nonsense that Brody van Wagoner actually is keeping in touch with the Dallas kaikal situation. What does that mean? I do believe that's true. I I didn't read that. But I'm reading more than I do. Yeah. I think that's right. I think keeping in touch. I think they really liked those guys. Okay. You know, the lefties are at the back end of their rotation now massive talented, but he's been with the injuries. And then you got Vargas at number five. Right. So, you know, they're not exactly filled with great lefties in the rotation at this point. So, you know, everybody, I think there's a lot of teams that are out there thinking, maybe they can get a bargain. So we'll see someone's gonna pay you know, a reasonable late. I think though, well, that's the point of everyone's looking for a bargain. No one's getting a bargain. Yeah. You never know. Right. I mean, sometimes look at Marquette, he ended up signing for what is it was it six million or something or, you know, at the end, if you don't get the deal that you want you you gotta decide whether you're going to play at some point. I I've heard guy goal is a tough got my guy, and obviously sitting out through those Kimball Kimball about the whole thing track to Keiko's had a really good career one young, but Kimball hall of fame track. Let's not forget about him. It. That's that's a surprise. If I had a guest today, though, I would say Tyco would be most likely Philly. Houston is looked at it. And Houston sent off to a great start. And San Diego kimbro. I think. I got a walkie. I mean, I know there's been the best closer in the game so far, but they've lost Jefferson's out. And and so is Canadian. So I think Milwaukee's gotta shot there. But you know, I think someone's going to have to bend somewhere because these guys aren't taking the low deals that are being offered. So. But yeah, the Mets are in touch with. Touch with rolls. Royce dealer. So well, put by you. Are you are you in touch with told him if the two hundred thousand dollar car comes down to five grand? I'll be interested, right? That's basically the great analogy of the situation with kaikal in a Mets. That's right. I always thought voice was even more. I made up the number probably more than I would think no idea I've never even looked at a roles. John has already you. You're not in touch with. That up. Correct. I did make it up. I thought that was obvious to prove a point interest in Dallas kaikal. Yeah. Well, you never know supply. Look they pulled a few surprises in the winter. They've done a great job. They upgraded offense at second base and cats. They haven't we didn't say they have Lonzo. And I, you know, I know happy we're happy with. Obsessed happy when picking the best twenty-five, although I should have found his body, John we're very we're happy with the Mets so far. So if I got -ccomplish nothing in this, call always were happy at the end. There's only one hundred fifty seven games to go. Last night. I was happy. And then I wasn't. It doesn't take long for happiness to turn into sadness. You guys are well prepared for that. And it's also very dangerous and foolish to ignore problems. When things are going well in any walk of life. It's just it's smart to do that you should identify problems before those problems manifested a bigger problems. If you wait for it to become a big problem. You will be able to solve it. Does that make sense? Yeah. It does. But I they're not firing their.

"Hodges told his wife, he wants to God's honest truth. And she said, yes, I do. He said I went out there. And I walked past the mound, and I kept going and by the time I got to the outfield. I couldn't stop. And he just went. So it was innocent might he was just it was unscripted which was very unusual for Gil Hodges who was a tremendous planner an incredibly thoughtful and prepared, but the Mets were getting absolutely demolished by the Astros in a double header and and their season really was kind of falling apart at that point in early August and. And he just he was just sort Qiliang like scuttle going half speed after a ball and. It just like something sort of snack. And and but it ended up being this almost transformative moment. And you know, people forget Steve. But as great a year, this was the Mets were ten games out on August thirteenth. Oh, sure. I was going to get to that. I want everyone to know where we're talking here with Wayne coffee. He is the author of a book out with the nineteen sixty-nine Mets. It's called day said it couldn't be done. And they just about everybody until that magical nineteen sixty nine season. Why do you think by the way? And then we'll move forward Wayne. Why do you think Gil Hodges is not an all fame? I wish I could answer that Steve I think it's it's an outrage. And I really and I thought that long before I started working on this book. I mean, people people forget what what a spectacular player. He was he retired from the dodgers. And actually played his last year with the Mets, of course. But he he had he was the leading right handed home run hitter in National League history with three hundred and seventy he was a brilliant fielder. He helped the dodgers win a world championship just on the strength of that alone. And then due to look at his. You know, the work that he did with the Mets, and and and leading this team this perennial laughing stock team that had done nothing but lose for seven years. To the summit is, and you know, and who knows how many more the Mets.

"Fifty years ago. And there is a must read out on the book stands as we say. And the author is with us Wayne coffee, and Wayne a campaign you enough forgiveness. Couple of minutes of your time. It's entirely my pleasure. Stephen I wanna tell you, by the way, the person who's doing your makeup is just doing. Well, if you were here, you would say I make up isn't going to do the trick. It's plastic surgery that might help. Let me first of all the name of the book is they said it couldn't be done. And I want to mention again, Wayne that Gary Cohn. Reads, the audio book for your book that you have written day said it couldn't be done. And it's available everywhere. You can get a book. Gary read, Steve I just wanted. Yeah. Sure. The what a what a thrill to have him. Read these words, it's just he's such an iconic broadcaster. And and he was eleven years old and sixty nine and had you know has great memories of his own. So it was really it's just a total treat for me. Well, first of all, it's an easy read. That's number one. You're a wonderful ride or listen. I know how to kiss thirty. But you deserve it. It's for a Mets fan for a New York. Baseball fan for a fan of any baseball team on a magical season a magical team. It's a must read. Now, that's my two cents worth. I think anyone who is going to read the book or has read the book would certainly agree about how some of these stories and because we just heard with Kouzmin with the last out with the game five. Let me ask you this man, you have to tell the story and I kinda teased this earlier about how the Mets got Seaver. I want you to tell that story. And how an usher at Shea Stadium helped the Mets get Kouzmin. Yeah. It's seaver. In fact, the anniversary of the acquisition of Tom Seaver is is coming up it. It was appropriately enough April Fool's day. And they're probably a lot of met fans. Who thought it was a joke in nineteen sixty six but Seaver was was actually a. He was a very unheralded pitcher coming out of high school attacked as a as a junior in in high.

"Of the glass, counting those one two three strikes. Your out. At the old ball game. And he fans will be out in droves tomorrow afternoon and even before probably as early as the gates open and get generosity and the twenty nine thousand nine season about to get underway and the expectations for the New York Yankees skipping too serious, October baseball and doing something about it. Don't you know? So the body and don't, you know with canot with the Metropolitans that thirty six year old second baseman and everybody assumes is gonna hit three hundred. I heard that the franchise the pope of of Hudson street earlier today, say expects the thirty six year old second baseman for the New York. Metropolitan stay hip between three ten three fifteen. I think it was. He said everybody is thinking he's gonna hit three hundred. I want to. I don't want him to look thirty six. It's the National League. It's new league. And listen he's on his way to the hall of fame. If he can come close to looking like that in the National League with Nancy a National League pitching. He's going to see for the first time outside of interleague, new ballparks and everything and relief pitching and every everything and east thirty six and but Dan getting D as I read something today. I think it was the daily news of not the daily news opposed were D as might be overrated. Please comes off fifty seven saves. Nobody expects him to have another fifty seven saves. He had a little bit of some shaky moments in spring training. We know from that. But a D as is solid and he's young he's under thirty. If you can believe the man's having somebody under thirty what is it? And nobody. Expects the Boston Red Sox to win another hundred and eight and would Mookie Betts and JD Martinez. Were they have the same kind of seasons? They had from a year ago. They've played seven hundred ball for four months. I don't think that's going to happen. There are a good team. And how about with their bullpen? Did. They have a bullpen. I think the answer to that collectively. From all of this is now, and by the way, let me mention this because with Wayne coffee, and the sixty-nine I metro Paladins Wayne Coffey's got the book out we were talking about and he'll be with us today to five the audio version of the book has been done by Gary Cohn. So there is that audio version, of course, want to mention that. So if you don't get your hands on the book per se for the reading the audio version of the book by Wayne coffee. Don by Gary Cohn. All right. Steve is calling from Brooklyn New York and Steve you're on the fan. What's happening Stevo? Greg. Great good. Starring that. I have spent play the NFL. I'm good himself. Now, I'm not what what is your question. Again. I'm having a little bit trouble picking up the language, you're using. I assume it's English. What are you saying was the reason that Greg bird starring I if you have started Stanfield Stanford? Yeah, it's not getting what you have to say. So I mean, I know you're talking to I know he's talking about the Yankees and Greg bird. I didn't get anything else. Maybe as on me. And I apologize for that. Could have been the line again. Sorry that I couldn't understand a little bit more from what you were talking about bird is now going to probably start at first base. Void is going to be no doubt. The D H tomorrow. But both are on the roster that we know what happens when Hicks comes back and what happens when some of the injured comeback the whole thing. But again judgments are made as the season goes along. That's not going to surprise anyone. But, but but you have a bird at first base tomorrow. I mean and void it'll be the D H. It's not official. This is just a educated guessing from what we read from what we hear the whole thing. Davis calling from Springfield debut on the fan. Dave. No, dave. We'll go to build calling from White Plains Bill. How're you doing? Steve. Have you had a chance to love reader's book? Clapper's shy inside. Yeah. Not yet. I just got it the other day, and I heard Klapisch he was on the radio on the fan earlier today talking with the three amigos in the afternoon. It's a book. I'll I'll eventually get around to reading for. Sure, I just got it picked it up went to the first chapter. And it's it's very interesting reading, I don't wanna give anything away to anyone. Well, that's okay. I mean, you can talk about you. Can you can talk about some of what you have read? And maybe it's a good tease a good promo. If you wanna talk about something from the book, you can go ahead and do that matches their by Geeta that he was told. Would take shortstop and putting me out deals. We had to take a pay cut. No, tori. Tori, never told him that I found out later on. And he said then there have been some issues with Cashman over over the salary. And what thought he should be getting and what he was getting instead. So there might have been some thorns there. And maybe when jeeter left the Yankees and retired. And that's the end of it. You might still be care listening. He worked out a deal with the Cashman to Stanton away. But nonetheless, I don't think that he sends Christmas cards or Hannukah cards to Cashman every year. I don't think so. Thanks, Mark for your opinion. Oh, yeah. Okay. No. From what I understand. And and Carlin was getting on Clapper. She's a little bit. Because apparently Klapisch, of course. So has some words to say about sports talk radio and the people who work on this side of the microphone. He had. He was on with three people this afternoon doing what they could do with Bob clap, clap a shot to sell his book. Clapper. She's a very very good writer, and it is a book that any New York. Baseball fan certainly a Yankee fan and any New York baseball fan would wanna read John is calling from queens, and John you're on the fan. Thank you for taking the time. Yeah. Dave. How's it going? He everything is fine. And with you too. I hope. Yeah. Thank you longtime listener, first-time caller. I wanted to know what what's your opinion on where Craig Timberlake? Yeah. It's amazing to me that they're out of work now. Yeah. I mean, you know, but again, injuries take place, and no, probably eventually, latch. I'm with the team. Kyko. Didn't have a very good year is a ground ball pitcher who was throwing an awful lot of fly balls last year the balloon to in the neighborhood of three and a half to four and he was asking for a three to five year contract is last. I remember so. He's but still surprising. And also surprising. Are the Yankees got kansallis who is going to start with the minor leagues. Now. He didn't have a good year. He was ten and eleven Hadas ERA was also higher and he's probably on the back nine of his career. However, you would have thought that kaikal and Gonzalez and kimbrel would be with the team by now. But they're not. Right. What do you think of what do you think somebody should demand? So the the Mets aren't gonna sign and neither the last. I feel like the brewers and a breeze going and jumping. Have. And here's another thing with an I think this is almost a shoo-in if the Yankees with a thin rotation as it is. And with more injury concerns. Now Severino is expected to be back. Would they say around may? You hope it's may of twenty nineteen. I would think I mean a lot can happen. Healthwise injury wise between now and the trading deadline. But I think it would be an absolute must the giants are going to be horrible. Season and probably finish last. They have no hitting but Madison Bumgarner is going to be available. And I would think that the Yankees would wanna go and get him as for the last two months of the season, and because of his postseason experience. The one thing though, you have to be very with the caution. What the ELO caution flag with mad bomb. He is not the same. And he's coming off a couple of injuries. He did not have when he was healthy last year. Of course. Yes. Playing on a bad team doesn't help but he's not the same. So Yankee fans got to be very very careful about wanting Madison. Bumgarner by the trading deadline, if indeed they do need a pitcher by Dan. One. Yeah. Ben. Thank you very much for your call. We do have to take a break.

"You're not a met fan. And of course, who is, but it's all about and a number of things that I'm sure even the most die-hard metropolitan fan not aware of including how the metropolitan Scott, Tom Seaver where do second. It's he I think he just signed. What the Atlanta Braves? No, he did not that was ruled illegal and you're going to find out why. And then there were three teens involved and three names were put into a hat, one of those names and New York Metropolitans and the Commissioner at the time polls out of the hat, the New York Metropolitans. That's how lucky that's how fortunate the Metropolitans were in getting Tom Seaver. But we'll talk about that. And so many other things with that magical season of nineteen sixty nine with author Wayne coffee at eight oh five we'll be talking to you before eight oh five and after eight oh five as well. So no from the one eight seven seven three three seven six six six six number to call on your fan, New York's. No an ad from save money on car insurance. "Jeff asked the question will be the Rangers goaltender next season. Assuming Shaiken comes over to the NHL in other words, which will be the backup. I gotta believe it's gonna be your give. I mean, he's splitting time now with Hank. I think that has to be the belief that your job is going to be the backup goaltender for Hank. Maybe not the full two years of his contract. But definitely this year. I would say that. And I think if this if the other kids distortion comes over I think he would serve him well to have a year in the American League and get used to, you know, North America. So for me. I mean, that's the way it, you know, just like seemingly commonsense standpoint, it seems like that would work and played very, well, you know, with the exception of a few starts, particularly the one really bad money Carolina. But he's for the most part given the Rangers chance to win on most nights and played very very well. I think the numbers are pretty pretty in line with hundred one quest. So you know, I think that that's the plan for now. And you know, we'll be back, and and you're gonna be the be the backup. And it's just working comes. He'll be in in Hartford Calvin asks what's your favorite hockey autobiography? That's a good question. I mean to me the quintessential hockey book is the game by Ken Dryden. I don't know if you call that an autobiography, but he does give his cat. Yeah. That's like look at the whole season. A three all from what I recall, I read it so long ago and Kennesaw titular. Yeah. Think or so I mean, that's a good one. I guess they had the old, you know, back in the day. Bob my game by Bobby or pay. You know, that was very that was during his his time playing. I think that he wrote that or wrote it with someone. So, you know, those are couple I think the the book that was done on the nineteen eighty Winter Olympic team was really good. I think Wayne coffee did that book. But I'm not a hundred percent. Sure. So but anyway, that was a good book. I enjoyed that. Yeah. There's a bunch of good hockey books. There's there's a book I read a few summers ago about a very underrated team that never gets talked about the seventy two silver medal USA team. I they Mark. How would like yeah. It was like sixteen years old. It was like such the great stories, but first Audubon Fay's, Calvin what I would say is it really depends on how you feel about the particular player. I've read a bunch of them. Doug, Harvey Doug ill. More. I've read Jamie mclennan's book, which I actually thought it was pretty entertaining. So I guess it really just comes down to how much you really care about the player. And if you really like him if he's your favorite that. That was good broder's book. I thought was pretty good. So it's tough to me over the pin. You know, one in particular. I love Doug Gilmour. He was one of my favorite players growing up. So we I devoured his autobiography just a couple of days because I just couldn't wait to to hear the stories especially about the ninety three you know conference. Finally, the Los Angeles Kings Gretzky is a couple of really good autobiographies from Wayne Gretzky, Rick Rick Reilly wrote. Yeah. Auto biography on Wayne like in the nine a couple of good how ones too that was interesting. Yeah. I mean, the bulk I'm referencing by the way was the boys of winter was the Wayne coffee book Bri was Wayne Coffey who wrote it about the nineteen eighty Olympic team. And I think that's one of those deems as you know, an amazing story the miracle on ice. And you know, I almost can't get enough of that even even so it's nearly forty years late at incredible..
