"A lot, a lot more to David Ortiz's story and why he is to me a slam dunk for cooperstown in 2022. The number one moment in my mind and I think it sticks out in the minds of a lot of Boston Red Sox fans, especially in the city of Boston, was what he did on April 20th, 2013, when first responders and the Watertown police department were being recognized for how they handled the two day shutdown after the Boston city excuse me after the Boston Marathon bombing back on April 13th. And I think what he was able to do and the way he was able to galvanize not just Red Sox fans, but the city of Boston, this is our effing city. And for him to say, and obviously he did not say epping, he actually said the word. We'll keep it family friendly here. This is our effing city. To me, that defines David Ortiz. And that is saying something considering he's the best clutch hitter in the history of Major League Baseball. That's not hyperbole. That's just the way it is. Anybody who watched his 18 year career starting with the twins back in the early 2000s and ending in 2016 with the Red Sox knows that he is the greatest clutch hitter they've ever seen. But the way he galvanized people, I already brought up the moment he galvanized the Red Sox and the dug out in St. Louis and game four of the 2013 World Series. But earlier in that season on April 20th, 2013, David Ortiz was a lot about a lot more than just baseball on that day. And the way galvanized the city, I keep using that word, but I think it's the perfect word for him. Really stuck out in the fans and endeared him to not only Red Sox fans and not only baseball fans, but endeared him to anybody who really felt that Boston had been attacked and you think you're going to make us cower screw off. And that was the perfect time, the perfect moment. David Ortiz against the Kansas City Royals before that game. "Ah Watertown man was seriously hurt after he was thrown from his snow mobile while on a guided tour in New Hampshire. That crash happening on the town access trail in Goram around noon yesterday, officials say, 30 year old Constantine e. Snowmobile Crash Leaves Watertown Man Seriously Hurt

"Kelley to the news now that dozens of people have been indicted in a college admissions cheating scam among them wealthy parents, including celebrities such as actress, Felicity Huffman, also college, sports coaches and people who administer the standardized college admissions tests. Kirk Pezzo has details from W H in Boston. At least fifty people have been charged with participating in alleged conspiracy that involved cheating on college entrance exams, like the SAT ACT some of their children were admitted to elite colleges including Yale Stanford UCLA and the university of Texas by bribing coaches, we're not talking about donating building. So that a school's more likely to take your son or daughter at the federal courthouse in Boston US attorney Andrew welling announced the charges in what he called the largest college admission scam ever prosecuted by the Justice department. We're talking. About deception and fraud fake test scores fake athletic credentials, fake, photographs bribed. College officials. Here's how willing says it worked between two thousand eleven and two thousand eighteen wealthy. Parents paid Rick singer the head of a foundation and four prophet admissions consulting service more than twenty five million dollars singer would then use that money to pay a ringer to take the SAT or ACT for children or correct their answers. He'd also bribe division one coaches singers foundation purported to be a charitable organization, but was actually a front singer used to launder the money that parents paid him in return for bribes ranging from two hundred to four hundred thousand dollars coaches agreed to pretend that certain applicants were recruited competitive. Athletes in many instances singer helped parents take staged photographs of their children engaged in particular sports. In other cases, he helped them use stock photos pulled from the internet. Photo shopping the faces of applicants onto the bodies of athletes. Make no mistake. This is not a case where parents were acting in the best interests of their children. Their money could buy some spent anywhere from two hundred thousand to six and a half million dollars for guaranteed admission. Their actions were without a doubt, insidious, selfish and shameful. The US attorney's office says college, admissions officers were tricked college, admissions counselors, say the real victims in this case or hardworking students who did everything they could to set themselves up for success in this country is crazy college admissions process.
