"Dot Com thanks policy genes for pointing show okay so just a quick story from our good friends at the daily L. E. Wire. A bench appears outlet over there. So Mitch McConnell. We see of course impeachment fiasco hoax going to start to say one thing quick before it gets. Yeah I know I gotTa jump around and I think that's one of the characteristics of it but I watched myself for the first time on Youtube. You if you WANNA watch this is an actual video program if you have comcast or your cable providers you can go to APPs on your menu just APPs download the YouTube APP and sign in and you can watch our show on your television like any other show. I watched it for the first time. And this is GonNa be weird because self-praise totally things but this is a good show. I enjoyed waiting on like that. Host is great. I'm not messing with you. I know that's horrible so I promise I do now. This is not an ego thing. I just really enjoyed it. It's the first time I've ever watched myself. It was really cool. I flicked it on my TV dirt. Turner Turner came up. Joe You're tinfoil cab. Came up was Funnier unto. It was hysterical so YouTube Juve dot com slash Bongino. If you actually want to watch the show you can go to your cable system. Just click the menu. You'll see apps just hit youtube and sign in you have to say I didn't say so. You just watch the show on your teeth really weird channel you. Yeah Yeah. Why's it was? I really enjoyed it. I'm not even kidding. It's horrible for the first time you sound on so different and the tin foil captain was hysterical. Face was like this big. I have a big TV. Oh that's scary getting back to McConnell sorry to get sidetracked but the daily wire is a good story about McConnell including a kill switch in this impeachment trial. Now what's really going to give you the inside scoop behind the scenes. What I'm hearing so so headline by Ryan's Vedra daily wire be in the show notes today? Bongino DOT COM Bongino DOT COM slash newsletter. If you WANNA get the show notes delivered to your inbox every morning. McConnell creates kill switch to end impeachment if it becomes a circus run by Adam Schiff folks. Here's what's really going on. The Democrats led led by shift. Pelosi Nadler Relatively feckless on the Senate side right. Now you've got Chuck Schumer and only but they're they're they're nothing compared to the losers on I mean not a loser loser scale Schumer's like eight point five Nadler Shift Pelosi's there like tens so there's Schumer has a lot of looser stuff to do to meet their loser standard. What's happening is Adam? Schiff is one of the house managers in this case. We already know he's asleep. He's in a liar and nobody really knows what shifts going to do because he has no integrity. I made it. I'm not joking. You may say well we knew that. No no I'm serious. The Republicans are genuinely concerned in the Senate trial. Not a but there's no case here folks. They're not worried. There's no evidence since trump did anything. We're not worried about that and copy. Casey's foreigners go. I'm going to be crystal clear what they're worried about is shift just pulling more shenanigans. Like remember the time in the house impeachment fiasco where he got up there and he just made up this whole transcript. You remember that I let me read this transcript that remember that show and he just made the whole thing yes. It's a he he did a Tony corleones thing or whatever it was the Don Corigliano. Dan Ever saw the Godfather. I know it's embarrassing attack. But remember when he did that. They're really afraid eight of that so McConnell's including this kill switch provision now it can't be implemented at any quote meaningful portion of the trial so for the Democrats who are going to I know liberals are they are going to jump up and go I. Nobody wants McConnell. Dominion things frosty for trump. And they start to get ugly. McConnell is going to jump in. I'D SAY WE'RE GONNA kill this trough. That's the liberal talk about. That is categorically false okay. There is a specific provision. Saying that the kill switch cannot be implemented during any meaningful portion of the trial. It is only in their to stop what they already know is going to happen with the Republicans already know what's going to happen. which is another Adam? Schiff Pelosi low seat Nadler clown show where this starts degenerating into fake movie scripts and Don Corleone and Tony Corleone and Joey bag doughnuts. It's called the only type transcripts that never happened. They don't the Republicans are in having it. I'm glad they have. This kills wish. If it gets out of control they should implement. It will put an end to this trial and allow trump's down president trump's defense team to call for a vote. Good move as an insider said said at the end if you read the daily wire piece by Vija by the way and insider up in Congress Said said to one of the daily wire reporters cocaine Mitch strikes strikes again so my show. Yeah good good for him. I hope at all right now find that I wanted to make sure we did. Get to the impeachment stuff though because it is important this this is a very important story. I covered last week. which you really? It's a little complicated and getting more complicated. But it is so so so worth your time. So I addressed the U.. Last week in my audience this whole developing fiasco which in Komi and ladies and Gentlemen Gentleman. It's an enigma wrapped in a mystery wrapped in alive wrapped in a media guests lighting narrative. Here's the story in the Wall Street. Journal Hohmann Jenkins by the way as I said Ed repeatedly has been all over this story from day. One if you Google home and Jenkins Wall Street Journal Komi you can read a library of probably ten stories on this specific specific thing that he's been all over the title of the piece today's the Komi cover up unravels the FBI the CIA and the press. All have much to be embarrassed about what happened here. Is I'm always hesitant to talk about this. Because it appears like we're giving Komi past sometimes and we're not one of the let me just throw it out. There did chip. Call me fabricate this whole Russian collusion narrative on the FBI aside and allow himself to be misled by Brennan in order to cover his own tracks for getting deceived by fake Russian Intel. That's a lot. That's that's a lot right there. I get it trying to digest what I'm saying here when they walked through the pizza. Let's go to number one so Jim Komi gives this press conference July fifth. After about Hillary Clinton. I addressed that last week. Remember the press conference and you up there lays out all the elements of the crime. Hillary Clinton's team may have committed with the email server and at the end of the press. This conversation as well. Nobody would prosecute this case Mrs Clinton Goodbye later. Thanks for playing man. We really appreciate it and everybody was like wait. What just happened one of the budding sprouting kind of narratives about why Komi may have done? That is some Dutch intelligence. Elegance officials in twenty sixteen fed to the American government. I thought Chuck Todd said this was good Joe. I thought we shouldn't be dealing with Foreign Intel when it comes to elections axes dodge Intel officials feed to the American government neo bomb administration. What appears to be a Russian intercept? Thir set of an email between Debbie Wasserman Schultz and some George Soros associated people and in that email Wasserman Wasserman Schultz allegedly writes. Hey listen like don't worry. The fixes in for Hillary Clinton Loretta Lynch the attorney. General's GonNa make this go away. Follow me it's GonNa be a lot of info but it'll make sense at the keep the headline in mind but so far west. Komi deceived by a piece of Russian Intel made a bad call and invented the collusion narrative to to go back and create an excuse as to why he did what he did so tra track me here okay the Dutch give this to it. Hey Look we've got this Russian piece of intelligence now. Why would that part matter because remember everybody? Call me. Loretta Lynch all of one. They all want jobs. What soon to be Hillary Clinton presidential administration? Nobody thinks Donald Trump's GONNA win folks put yourself in the mindset three years ago not the mindset. We're obviously Donald. Trump won. Nobody nobody thinks he's GonNa win. They're all lobbying for jobs and they all want to make sure because remember. This is an important point. Pay Very close attention at one point during a Republican debate. Everyone's asked to raise their hand. If they're going to support the election results remember that yes raised their hand. DONALD TRUMP TRUMP says. I want fairly early enough. Joe Trump says I want to see why would I support a result of cheating right. Of course all the other you know or else raise their hand because that's what they do with these stupid raise your hand things right but trump says. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate election you know. Yeah but if not I wanna I wanna see what happened the Democrats at the time who are positive the media even Republicans are sure. Hillary Clinton is going to be the next president. Start to get worried Joe. What not that? Hillary is GONNA lose. ooh They're worried that the election results that they expect to be a landslide are going to be questioned by trump and trump's GonNa make a big stink about it after the election as a failed. Oh presidential candidate and 'cause Hillary a lot of harper basically Joe. They're worried trump is going to do what Hillary in fact and the Obama Administration did after trump up one try to discredit the presidency. Right right right. They always accuse you of what they WANNA do themselves. So in order to get out ahead of that Komi and the other spy gate conspirators. Involved in this are concerned about clearing the deck in other words. Let's get all this negative info out here. Let's clear the deck now that way. When Hillary Clinton wins nobody can say hey man? Why were you hiding this? Russian Intel about Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC. See conspiring with wrench to make the case. Go it you get it in. The bureau's Concern Jim Komi specifically we believe according to the story Ori. He's really concerned about anything. Other than clearing the deck for Hillary Clinton and making sure she gets declare herself a legitimate president so he goes out he gives his presser he lays us all out and it's now believed he may have done so because he thought the Russians had this email. What's the problem? The email is believed to be a fake in other words boards whether the Russians had this Debbie Wasserman Schultz email or not. Maybe entirely irrelevant. Because it's not a.

"Twenty four hours were not even twenty four hours since the the impeachment of president trump and you know I it is so much weirdness going around the picture the washer post reporters all having a drink in a line now Johnny put you know what Abby impeachments I think it's you know what I want a dog takes a dump in the living room you're supposed to stick his nose into it and that's what this is what you know and when you're talking about reporters saying happy impeachment I would say more along the lines of our job has been to follow every the thing that I mean for people be like oh now you're supporting is like no I've been working on it it's a well that on my calendar I mean journalists are like anybody they make mistakes tonight so debate is gonna be interesting for a few reasons the the aftermath of this and it's probably the last for a few of these guys are like I mention before time Star be on the show with a smart five o'clock in the talk to him about his experience tonight I'm really anxious to see how Biden dozen and what's what's I mean what is Bloomberg fit in this whole thing really talk about that one of the things that I had a and I can agree with what the Spiro who is a writer for the new Republic I wrote a piece on the headline is Tom Prez's preposterous debate rules and all the service they they're not that crazy but when you read the piece in your allies yeah they are kind of weird and it is it really keeping out of people that should be and for the American people I want to spare joints right now KGO good to talk to offer thanks great piece all thank you so much in no way it's it's something that there is something weird that there are two people on the debate stage tonight that no one with the possible exception of their immediate family thanks to Democrats could ever nominate for president and that's Tom sire and and free again yeah and there are a whole series of people who at one point or another were considered serious presidential politics candidates center Cory Booker of New Jersey center Michael Bennett of Colorado former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick Mike Bloomberg and to who are not going to be on the debate stage tonight and you start wondering what what's wrong with this picture possible that they're paralyzed by what happened in twenty sixteen with and and just trying to make sure that they don't get attacked again from within like the Sanders group so I mean everyone I talk to within the Democratic National Committee says that that the fear of being set upon by the Bernie Burroughs and the Bernie supporters it is just totally crippling I mean it is bizarre that the Democrats have gotten rid of super pacs even though the whole point of super pacs was so a party would never be taken over by demagogue much in the way the Republicans were in twenty sixteen so the response to trump is let's get rid of our emergency break glass way of stopping endemic Oct and how that works explain how having a pack and having that kind of what we kind of money essentially no no I'm pregnant I'm jumpstart super delegates to rid of right wing get rid of all about my debate of my pre debate jitters have strict comment a but it's it's I when I met the super delegates okay who would cause who basically are elected officials right and they are the kind of people who would never be honored their we want to be on a ticket with the Democrats to quit when if there is such a thing over Donald Trump and that was the whole but but rather than going down the rabbit hole to be just another thing that fear of Bernie Sanders has caused the Democrats to get rid of is there anybody in the Democratic Party that has the swag to say you know the the future of our nation hangs in the balance here if trump is reelected what he'll do with the Supreme Court and federal judges will be ever vocal in our lifetimes and and and it will fundamentally change I mean there's a story out today the washing post says that these these White House officials have left are saying that they think they believe Putin influences Ukraine policy you know going back to twenty sixteen the summer you know when they pull their support for them off the platform I mean that's scary so I I I get you know that I'm not going to add that when I say binder Bloomberg seems like to have a better chance I'm not very woke note I'm being I'm being realistic well I mean Elizabeth Warren can say what you were just talking about it's possible but I mean again Elizabeth Warren has this she search can be such an easy target in those rust belt states to say she's a socialist I mean just because even though she does of course aren't jobs say she is the capital rest and right now I get all the Republican press releases every single person in the Democratic Party including conservative senators like Joe Manchin have been attacked as being socialist yeah it is not since Karl Marx in so many socialists in America well most of my you know I get that all the time people call me a social so I could you even know what you're talking about do you have any idea what it is that as well yeah right minimum wage fifteen dollars an hour I mean what could be more it it's like taking away your corporation and we get we get farmers twelve billion dollars that's not socialism I don't know what is right and I am a guy I don't know but I like to so what are the rules tonight what one of the four basic rules rules are that I'm about to be on the debate stage you have to have a minimum of two hundred thousand individual donors and you either have to have scored four percent or higher in four separate a reputable national polls or six percent or higher in polls of by what I'm New Hampshire South Carolina and Nevada as a result only five realistic candidates made the cut and yeah he has his own Yang gang so he barely made it and Tom sire in the most cynical action of this whole sequence went on Facebook with lots of ads Beijing people to send the dollar to a billionaire so he would have is two hundred thousand individual donors even though he's still finding his own campaign this thing really clean with a you know the impeachment campaign and when I mean that's one of the things we'll talk about tomorrow is is it that you know did you take a spot on that stage that maybe somebody else should have because it's obvious you're not going to be president how no yeah yeah you know it's the ironic is that all the things that you mentioned to get somebody on that stage one of them isn't that you have to be a Democrat me Bernie Sanders an independent of all our details details ad and the fact is Michael Bennett who is I'll as becoming on person was a former head of the democratic Senate campaign committee working to elect democratic senators but that doesn't count we're talking to Walter Shapiro who has written a great piece of the new Republic is a staff writer there let me jump ahead with this last question is what happens if we lose I say we have because I'm a vote for Democrats we lose in twenty twenty what happened to the Democratic Party I mean they will have where ever it is I really hope I'll be watching it from New Zealand is selling me laugh I'm looking yeah yeah I don't like volcanoes I I and you know I'm I'm not sure I have the cash to be I'm a I'm a set accepted an immigration to Canada so though I have said nice things about Canada so maybe making exactly you're you're you this is a great piece and will I will send that out on my Twitter feed it's good stuff honor yes I know thank you so much did not eleven campaign it's great fun thanks for having thank you also appreciated I was clear again he writes for the new Republic it's a great piece and it really does and Tom press eighty that you go back and you look at you know Wasserman Wasserman Schultz well the last name right yeah Debbie Wasserman Schultz and you go back and look at the way the it's Ron here's the deal it will try so hard to be fair right that is so you know and and alone just when you think of the other side right exactly where we are but it's so it's so it's like you Sean Connery sit in that church with Kevin costing us because are you ready to go all the way it goes yeah I wanna get him because I you're ready to do what you gotta do what try to the Chicago away any damn right he says you know they they sure want to yours yeah should tour there I I I I look at this and I think to myself what I'm hearing I mean there is an aversion to the truth I am the Republican Party so much in tonight we're all going to be there's gonna seven people attacking each other which I guess is part of the primary process but we got is just we have figure this out I mean I have to have a good idea and and I feel like I feel like good ideas that make sense fiscally socially meet a need that they could be sold to the American people I don't know if we have to devolve into the name calling that seems to be some problem with the Republican Party Jerry because aside from the city hi Jerry it the Republicans are I mean the Democrats are right now well.

"My name is Tom Sullivan well well hi there bring that down that show yes a my my own business and there's Nancy in the boat and then they had the the news conference and Nancy says yeah I'm good I I may not send over the articles of impeachment to the Senate until I get what I want and I went oh I'm so tired of talking about the impeachment I thought it was gonna be over last night and we have a break for a couple weeks but I thought I had mixed feelings because on the other hand I thought that's it there there is the beginning of the show tomorrow there is the beginning of the show tomorrow so we've got where do you what I what what's your strategy you can you can play the part of Mitch McConnell or you can play the part of Nancy Pelosi so Nancy Pelosi and by the way I had heard a rumor that this might happen and it came from somebody was talking about a large tribe who's the super lefty Harvard law professor we had quite a lot a because he is harbor law professor be because he's like a hundred years old and see because he's a big lofty the media likes to to quote him so apparently Lawrence tribe and others got Ahold Nancy Pelosi and said Ole we got something for you all we can pull this stunt this will be great so we know we know we know that he's gone you your people are going to vote for impeachment and sure enough article one article two but here's the deal we don't send it over to them nothing in I've I've read up word back I've read so much about the procedures and the the law the rules of everything about impeachment and there is nothing in there that dictates when the house is supposed to stand there articles of impeachment over to the Senate so it gets kind of crazy and then you get into the question of if it doesn't get sent over to the Senate once the game is this is a game this is more of the game in the question then becomes also is this game that their plane inside Washington game that just infuriates people about the games that they play in Washington more than they ever have been a period before I don't know for those of you that are anti trump what do you think this will do ever how would you play this game because it is a game I keep repeating that if you are for all Donald Trump if your not sure you're kind of vital knoll well what am anyway break it down for me what do you think the outcome of all of this will be so pre bahara the former head of the Southern District of New York the US attorney in the Obama administration he was asked about right after this happened last night he was on CNN and Fredo asked him about Hey Nancy holding up sending the impeachment article to the Senate what do you think great bara was a little bit of a game of chicken she wants to know what the process is gonna look like to decide against strategically in tactically push one's name is managers I don't I don't understand the speculation that there is for some period of time going to be the idea that you hold back the articles of impeachment because of a couple reasons one is the Democrats have been saying it incorrectly for a long time we're in a rush to go do this quickly we can't wait this person is a recidivist the president can't be allowed to do this again and now you say hurry up hurry up we just before Christmas now wait it doesn't make a lot of sense either and I don't understand what leverage the Democrats have having now successfully got articles of impeachment past I understand the need and and they should want badly to have other witnesses who have been absent to come and testify but what is the leverage on Mitch McConnell to rough I understand what Michael is saying about if you know you have to have the trial maybe haven't super quick even before Christmas but if there's a possibility that the Democrats say unless these witnesses come forward when I consider the articles and the prospect that hangs in the air not to have a trial that's great that's wonderful for much because yeah for Mitch McConnell it's great for Mitch McConnell is going great this graphic so pre bahara who was again in the Obama administration US attorney and though Donald Trump interviewed him but everything else was said no thank you sell pre bahara doesn't like Donald Trump he's going this is he doesn't understand he's a smart smart lawyer all right let's go over to the media Maggie Haberman a New York times her beat is the White House she has broken a lot of news about what is going on inside the White House she also again New York time she she thinks waiting to send this to the Senate is a very risky move and it's obvious they're trying to get she thinks into the president's head I think politically I think it's actually a risky play I think in the short term it is getting in the president's head and I do think that that is to some extent something they want to do they have done what they can do they've done the best they can hear when the White House has denied them witness describing everybody by animal face and he's this respect him and that I think they've done their job well I I think they want to see more of this and basically let him know that if he is going to disrupt the process they're going to do a version of that at the White House is going to simply not participate at all in this process and they didn't then they're going to not necessarily by the same way but your point about contradictory messages I think they're coming to that a little bit late I think that there have been a lot of computing messages coming out of the house Democrats over the last two weeks one is about this hurry up and wait thing in terms of moving the articles for the other is in describing him in these terms through his impeachment process Democrats have described him as a national emergency over and over again and a lot of Democrats would say even those were an awful impeachment there was a reason for that and that they had to at the same time they are cutting a trade deal with him so he is a national emergency but they've also given him his chief legislative priority over the last year voters do have trouble understanding two things at once sometimes and I'm not sure how this helps the house case no so there you got to pro left side left side of the aisle going I don't understand what is she doing our show okay she's trying to get some leverage but where did she get the leverage on Mitch McConnell all right will want Dave Wasserman Wasserman is one of the top guys at cook political report very highly thought of political analyst they try and run it right down the middle they they just report what they see and Wasserman says Democrats well they need to do a better job if they're going to defeat Donald Trump and twenty twenty the reality is Democrats need to do even better than that to to be trump it's possible that Donald Trump couldn't couldn't lose the popular vote by four points or more and still win the electoral college and look Democrats can make the case that they had no choice but to impeach and because anything else would have been an application constitutional responsibility you know that that is a very reasonable argument but the reality make it that I see is that this is not going well politically for Democrats in the key battleground states that are going to decide this election like Wisconsin where we saw Marquette hole that put support for can convicting removing from from office at forty percent to fifty two percent of post wow was on the Marquette law school poll for it was constant forty percent for impeachment fifty two opposed but this is a dead heat the other thing he brought up again and this is where I know a lot of your call you say I don't like the polling Polly bowling bowling the poll you but the the state polls I read I'll repeat this armor coming back around to having to go over the same turf we did four years three years ago the state polls over a lot of state polls we got it wrong state polls they don't have the resources they don't have the depth any of the state polls that are out there and they also don't do many polls in the state they may they may do a poll in the state once every three or four months but national polls are done by organizations with deep pockets and they're out there doing statistically valid polls on a regular basis the state polls got it very wrong in two thousand sixteen the national polls actually we're pretty close to getting it exactly right yes they picked Hillary because there were they were not picky in the electoral college they were picking how many people are going to vote for Hillary how many are going to vote for trump well more people voted for Hillary and they got those numbers pretty darn right but just like Dave Wasserman pointed out trump good good lose of four percent be behind a minus four percent on the popular vote and the way he sees it is that he's still going to win the electoral college again the points out Wisconsin's or whatever goes on to talk about what it would take for the Democrats to get back in the game in two thousand twenty president trump's when numbers probably forty seven percent in my estimation keep in mind he won his first term with forty six point one percent and losing the popular vote by two point one the reality for Democrats is their only continuing to add support in California which is utterly useless to them they're continuing to cut the margin in Texas but probably not by enough to make it a key tipping point state in twenty twenty if I really had to narrow it down I would continue to say that the two most valuable states the two closest to the tipping point our.

It's taken a long long time but I'm happy to finally get this fly racing racer x podcasts presented by Maxon. Alpine stars finally getting done with this guy a guy. I've known for a long time in the industry person. I consider my friend and really happy to get his his story down here for everybody and what an interesting one it is. Chris Onstar AKA beaker. What's up speaks our you? Hey Hey Steve. How's it going? Yeah years not only not only years but the last three weeks just I was sick. Your daughter water got sick something like just we just cannot connect we both have some busy lives and so finally. We're doing it and I'm looking forward to talking to you and talking about things that happened in the past. Yeah lots of talk about what you've been around iconic racers and done a lot auto industry and these are some of my favorite ones that I do with people that aren't racers you know but but are around the racers and around the scene and there's certainly lots of thought to talk talk to you about so you're at Fox racing for a long time. We'll get into your your agent move. was what six months Eight months recently. Yeah like the other one the no the the the other one. I think it was there for about almost a year and a half okay. All right Basically though you've been at Fox racing for a long long time since I mean I started in October of two thousand four right outside of the year and a half where you were an agent so you recently left left. You're working again back with Steve Asif at the family agency. That's a big move. You did obviously like you did it for that year and a half but this one might be a little bit more permanent. What was the decision behind that for you what? What kind of thought went into into doing it again? You know even I mean just to. Ah My my thought process when I left Walsum into go back to Fox You know I think you know the company was going on through. A transitional just been sold on people ox was part of the group that bought it back. He approached me you know about coming back to oversee all sports marketing so that would serve mountain bike Modo. BMX in in in wake and that was really exciting to me. And before I'd left Fox for the Wasserman thing I'd had a meeting with my boss at at the time of Japan through so empty Fox and they were like hey like you know. He's been here almost ten years. Like what would what would you like you know. What's your goals? What do you want to do next? And I told him I said that would be like like a dream scenario for me So when Pete hit hit hit me up to date to come back get some thoughts a talk to my wife actually talked to. Steve Asked about it and I in a lot of probably talked to many people because everyone different opinion. Yeah and here I am. I'm Kinda Lost Lawson. Things were happening that like I was struggling with some star mentally just wasn't in the right head space and maybe I I was looking for an excuse to leave to you know And you know to be honest Steve in my wife or the only ones that were like you need to give it more time. It's a process. You got to be patient with it and you know and at the time I was working with Jack. Osbourne or to Hampshire Kilo Russ saw like. That's pretty ridiculous. You know and decided to go the Fox route but my life My thought process was to that like I was always going to give the agency thing another try a new. I knew that it was always going to be there for me So I wanted to go back and do this thing with Fox and like to be honest with you like I had like three to five year plan and a wanted to make connections in some of these other industries in sports and the cycle is GonNa Redo the agency thing but most likely on my own in thought was like okay. Let's get a surfer not by Komodo dudes in and go on my own so fast fast forward to today a never expected Steve to leave Wasserman. Yeah yeah that was a big shock in the industry behind the scenes for sure. Yeah he ended up. Always been close with Steve and confided in some stuff and like he knew my head. Space was at now you you know over the last year and you know he He called me one day and he was like. Hey like you really you really serious about leaving box. Because I told him I was like dude I I. I think I'm GONNA do this on my own again. Like I've been talking to a couple riders and I was like. I think I'm just going to do this on. Dude you're crazy don't do that uh-huh and then you know he he'd call me in these. I really think about leaving. I'm really seriously considering it. Newsweek oh I think I might have something for you when the next day. Actually he texts me and he's like hey are you. Are you alone and I I and I and I was actually. I can Roxanne's house so jumped in the car and I'm I call them he He told me that he was leaving Wasserman and he was restarting family. And kind of which was his agency before he went to Wasserman Wasserman and some of the reasons why he was leaving. Meanwhile I wanted to do it. I'm like dude. This is what I WANNA do like. He's like telling me this. You know this process. I'm literally screaming inside in my body. Like he's like I want you to come with me so I was like Yes yes yes and You know he's like I WANNA make your partner winner and you know like to have you know you know equity in the company like it's ours. He's he's very successful guy. I believe in him like He everything he's done has been successful and you know and then we're small and you know the mentorship that I'm getting from him. I know what I what I'm good at in a know where my weaknesses are and to have him to lean on to get me through some of these some situations where like. I'm not that comfortable with like I. It's still valuable to me. Well this is. This is an interesting move for sure here for you and let's let's be honest. I've known you for a long time. You're a really nice guy. You're the life of the party you know you're a positive guy. I'm grouchy and yelling and screaming and you don't like me. You know what I mean and I'm fine with all of this. You know one of the reasons why you had difficulties the first time around was. You've got to be a Dick sometimes being agent. You gotta be hard Either with your client or with somebody who's looking to hire a client and beaks that's not you that's not you. You're you're beaks this is this is the part where you got to get better at right. And that's why I have someone. When like Steve Down Down through some of these situations who's who's been through I mean he's got off plus years of doing this and he's worked with the highest profile clients in motto in in other spaces skates snow and surf in even outside? The industry were like his connections to like you know outside light industry companies like that. That's huge for me to lean on him a little bit. We're like okay like you know I may not be have I may not have have a supercross champion right now. But like he's got connections where like he can help me. Connect my guys to some of these industries. So no I mean I know you're a nice guy your integrity. You have honor all of that stuff that you want as a as a representative but you're GonNa get meaner beaks eh overtime. That definitely is going to happen. But I also think that like you know I I I believe you can do this job and still be a good dude nice person. I believe to absolutely there's definitely like situations that aren't easy to deal with in the last couple of years. I was at Fox. Like I had to deal with some situations that weren't in my comfort zone I believe that process of going back to Fox in dealing with some of the stuff that I did with dealt with like has helped me for this transition so yeah yeah yeah it's it's a it's a big jump for you but but growing something of your own and having some equity in it and having some yeah the success you have with Steve you and him together. It will grow the like. That's something you're not gonna get at Fox or anywhere no no. It's you know this. This is a A. I considered it once once in a lifetime. Opportunity and I'M NOT GONNA I'M NOT GONNA mess up in on fully committed one hundred percent and and Like I just you know the last few years I've been in this like that process. Okay what's next. I think like when I Aleph Fox originally to go back or left Fox originally go to Wasserman like may I to be honest. I wasn't ready. I really enjoyed what I was doing. Fox News But you weren't doing the same job. got a promotion going back. Yeah Yeah I've grown the whole time I've been there but you know like I really was connected to my mind team. I was really connected to the people that I worked with a pretty abrasive. Just okay. It's I'm leaving quite Outta here and I just I don't know I don't think I was in the right head space I wasn't ready Sean. I still love being with the dudes still loved traveling. Going to the races. Still love being part of the program and I just wasn't ready for like the the the switch in the industry like Iran. I mean I was being paid to be everyone's best friend for fifty years and and now I was an agent agenda and Things were different and wasn't ready for that be treated differently at the time So that that was. It's some of the stuff that's struggled with the least you know. Now I had exposed I've had exposure to it so it's not a shock to me anymore. I realize it's just it's just business doesn't hit you back up the newer. Don't WanNa talk to you. They don't have an answer like you know I've I've done it walks now people back like. Don't take a personal on you know it's just a process so I'm excited. I'm really excited for this. You know next chapter after Steve and some of the other people that he's GonNa bring on and you don't have exposure to some of these other industries that we're going to branch out into when you left Fox. Did you grab have a Goldfish and plant. WHO's with me? Who's that's funny? That's what happened the first time though going away gift gaffed goldfish not GonNa make the same mistake twice. No Man definitely like I don't always he's agree with Steve Ask defends Ways of doing things and him and I have butted heads over time..

"Seem to think they're secret weapon in the impeachment. Inquiry is Ohio Congressman and trump. TV regular. Jim Jordan Jordan. Who's been moved onto the House intelligence committee so that he can play a role in public impeachment hearings? This is who Republicans seem to think is their best guide to run interference interference for trump but their best guy is also at the center of an enormous scandal that continues to dog him to this day. Jordan was a wrestling coach at Ohio State University in the eighties and nineties. While the university employed a team doctor by the name of Richard Strauss who killed himself back in two thousand and five an independent investigation later found that Strauss else sexually abused a hundred and seventy seven male students and that coaches and administrators knew what he was doing and turned a blind eye to what was an open open secret now. Jim Jordan vehemently denies he knew what Strauss was up two but three former wrestlers told NBC News that it was common knowledge and that would have been impossible bowl for Jordan not to know and one wrestler said he told Jordan directly what was going on and then last week some news a second person came forward to say he also talked to Jordan referee saying in a lawsuit that he told Jordan that the doctor had performed a sex act in front of him in a shower referee sees says that when he complained to join directly and then head wrestling coach they simply replied. Yeah that Strauss and that was pretty much it lawsuit. Osu claims in addition to college students Strauss also preyed on underage victims including a boy who was sexually abused while attending wrestling camp. One of the collegiate wrestlers. Who who says he was victimized dismissed? Jordan's claim that he had no idea what Strauss is up to. Mike D Sabado saying quote. I consider Jim Jordan a friend but at the end of the day he is absolutely lying. If he says he doesn't know what was going on the part of the reason that Jim Jordan is the Republican point person on impeachment spy scandal is that he has shown he will defend trump no matter what what Jordan is a figurehead in the new Republican party because he puts oil to the president basically above all else. Unless you're willing to do that unless you're willing to act like Jim Jordan or Mark Meadows r Matt Gaetz for Louie Gohmert. There's much room for you in the modern. GOP Today Congressman. Peter King became the Twentieth House Republican to announce he would not seek reelection the next year we're going to talk about the GOP exodus and just what it means right after this. Fourteen Term Congressman Congressman. Peter King of New York announced today that he's retiring and won't seek reelection twenty twenty the seventy-five-year-old Republicans saying he wants to spend more time with his family. Kings suburban long Nyland district is the kind of district. GOP has recently been struggling to hold even though it was carried by trump king won reelection by just six points last year. which is the closest race? He has had since he was first elected back in nineteen ninety-two now king is widely described in the press is a rare moderate Republican. But I don't think that really characterize him accurately. He was one of the most notorious anti Muslim bigots in all of Congress. He said there are too many mosques. In this country he led hearings on what he claimed was the quota radicalization and the American Muslim community and called for nationwide surveillance program directed at Muslim Americans. King's departure is part of an amazing story. This played out before before is since trump's election. He is the Twentieth House. Republicans declined to seek reelection. Twenty twenty which is part of a broader trend Cook political report editor Dave Wasserman Wasserman notes that when trump took office in January. Two thousand seventeen. There were two hundred and forty-one Republicans in the House since then a hundred one have either been defeated retired otherwise left office were are retiring in two thousand twenty. That's more than forty percent. The Republicans who stay are mostly the trump diehards the party in general the elected. GOP is becoming trump. You're in every way. So what does that mean for. Twenty twenty to help answer that I want to bring in to democratic pollster and Strategist Cornell Belcher and Mario Mira Margie. This is an interesting district because Peter King's district suburban Long Island. It went for Obama over Romney by four points but we went swung big for trump plus nine over Hillary Clinton and then Peter King one by six points but he he had to get a contested race. What what do you see? Here is the decision making of King. Who is old enough that it doesn't? It's not crazy. He's retiring well. Obama won this district district twice to so this is a district that has been on the map as we say for a while as one that could be potentially pick up opportunity for Democrats and last last time around. He had a strong candidate woman candidate. Ub a Gretchen Shirley who had this incredible video as a mom of young kids she had showed her are young kids and talked about being a mom in her video and she had this very contentious debate where Peter King got very testy with her and it was the kind kind of race where a lot of women. A lot of districts around the country won that race. She came up a little bit short. But it just highlighted. I think the opportunity here for progressives to and for Democrats are really make a real clear contrast cornell what I see here in the in the thinking of these folks are you're GonNa have to raise a lot of money. You'RE GONNA have to run a tough raise. The sort of demographics on the ground and the trump error makes it harder. When these places and then you've got to defend the president all the time which I just feel like is a kind of psyched? I'm serious like who wants it honestly and I think you know easy twenty exoduses i. I can understand the decision making well I build. See this story ory King and some other Republicans and them losing suburbs disconnected from. The store just ran about Jim Jordan. And where you do have to your the point. You have a Republican Party. That's almost cultish now. Republican Party where we're defending Donald. Trump is the first and foremost priority defending him around the things that that a lot of these college educated voters especially these college women in the suburbs five indefensible and so so you know the supporters of made a bargain with Republicans moderate Republicans. You keep our taxes low and keep us safe and we'll give you voice your votes right. You know that is that that is beginning to sort of a role especially with the Republican Party. Turn first and foremost defending trump. Also Chris that I think this is important to there is a price to pay for such a narrow focus on rural issues and sort of the rural culture and supporting rural voters because you did also are beginning to turn off suburban and I think nowhere is that bigger problem for Republicans in what you see with the issue of guns and how that's turning in the suburbs versus how is not turning in the rural areas Marjorie. It's also the case so if you're if you're in a frontlines as a Republican you've got you've got to sort of negotiate the fact that a lot of your voters probably have some frustrated straight to feelings about the president to be delegated most energized opposition. That's going to raise money and if you're on the other you've also got to watch the primary flank I thought this piece the Texas Tribune about Kay granger fastening. She's the most senior Republican woman in the US House but she basically drawn a drawing primary challenger and she's GonNa the have to run this contested race because she's sort of I guess insufficiently pro trump. Well I'm not sure if that was a part of the calculation for Peter King but it is I think sometimes calculation for Republicans in other districts and Retirements you have obviously a lot more retirements on the Republican side on the democratic side. That gap is even larger. If you're just looking at the most tossup districts and I think that what the next step is who is now running those seeds and if his seat looks tough then the folks who have always wanted to run for Congress or thinking maybe this is not my year and so in a tough time where you have a lot of Republicans were retiring because they have polling or they've decided it's tough for them it. They're not necessarily going to be replaced by three four or five different strong strong challengers or strong folks run for that contested. Primary on the Republican side like we saw in eighteen on the democratic side where we had lots of contested primaries because we had lots lots of Democrats in these in China Challenge Republicans. who were excited to run for office merging secret point here to Cornell about watching the sort of transformation the party when you think about those one hundred and one members I which is that when you think about who's going to run for Republicans seat for an open seat WHO's motivated? Who's going to be able to sort of try grassroots and Republican side? It's going to be very pro-trump Republican Mike just unavoidably. That's going to be the kind of person who's GONNA WANNA run in this in this environment. Who's going to have a beat on an open Republican primary? If that's actually really what you're facing you're going to select those kinds of candidates and then those kinds of legislators well and this is C.. Kriss I'M GONNA I'M GONNA I'M GONNA reach but I'm not thinking I'm reaching very far. But this is where the chickens come home to roost around gerrymandering right. So you gerrymander the districts. Where oftentimes the only competition or the most competition Titian you have is in the primary and so you get the so you're going to get the most radical is sort of most rates far right of trump? Republican is going to probably win that primary and in this age time where the suburbs are particularly sort of college educated white voters beginning sort of turn against these voters. I think makes it a lot harder for them to in fact hold on and windies competitive seats but the but gerrymandering here does re really much very much matter all right Cornell Belcher and Marsha Mera thank you both before we go reminder that the last stop on her with Todd tour this year is coming up and you should join me and legendary playwright. Tony Kushner the Great Tony. Kushner on December eighth at the town hall right here near City. You'll be a conversation about theater and politics..

"It's it's serious, obviously. But at the same time knock on wood. Thank god. There have been no. Injuries or or deaths from lists. And I guess. Reader is some question about whether these things are actually not. Obviously you have to assume they are. Whether or not, this is just only intended to fear intimidate that sort of thing or. Real. I don't know that you want to just echo one thing that John Lennon said, okay that is this is not gonna silence. Administration's critics. No, I I think we can pretty much rest assured that won't happen for me. It's a sleeper cell of one that was activated. A sleeper cell. Sure. Well, because he's got he's got the criminal record. Yeah. Yeah. Guy's a lunatic. This lunatic. Yes, nobody driving around in a van like that is is same. But you know, I mean, it's it's still something to look at it. As far as was how was he motivated was it was he did he hear the president say some stuff, and and took it too far. Maybe I mean, it's gonna take probably gonna take several months to to get inside his head and this guy's head and figure out what's going on in their right? You you, and I and everybody else we hear the president say one thing he filtered it somehow differently. The fog of wherever he was and it might have been voices in his head saying do this. I have a feeling driving a van like that. After what happened? I I wouldn't be surprised if we find out the FBI got a tip the said, you know, you ought to check this guy the vans parked out in front of this auto parts store there Florida that this is a guy I work with or whatever or see him every day. He's pretty extreme. Just maybe a guy worth questioning and director Ray did say that they uncovered a finger run him, and he has been he's had prior arrests. And when they took one look at. Yeah. And it hasn't taken some people very long to start using this politically here's Debbie Wasserman Wasserman Schultz. She is also somebody whose name was appeared on those bombs calling for using this as a call for a new governor in Florida never.

"The euro had thirteen fifty three the yen won twelve point. Oh, Sirri, Tom and Pimm. Thanks so much Karen with the market's a little bit calmer again negative to twenty seven in the down. We'll do some data checks through here. We really need to digress to talking about one of the books of the season. Michael Beschloss is in the official surveillance timeout chair because this book ways in after ten years of writing it some six hundred pages with lots of note, I'm gonna I'm gonna slim it down to five hundred eighty pages, Michael. But simply congratulations are in order. I'm presidents of war. Michael. I wanna go right to the press present president his. He'd been tested yet by war in the answer's no, right? Yeah. The answer is no. Although he's a war president. We sometimes forget about that. There's a war in Afghanistan that he is dealing with every day. But what I'm thinking of is, you know, Tom is war presidents in terms of those eight or nine guys in American history who of wage large wars that they've initiated? Thank god. Donald Trump is not done that yet through your book. And I go back to Edward Larrabee. Majesty study of generals in FDR is the idea that a president has to pick their Pentagon president has to pick their generals. How are we doing right now in the United States of America? What are the lessons and getting good generals? A good Pentagon that President Trump needs to learn. Well, one of them is that the president has to consult them and treat them with respect. And the other thing is that you should have to have a president with the wisdom and judgment to overrule them with necessary. When necessary, you know, you and I Tom were both students of American history. I think we both approve of the fact that Harry Truman fired Douglas mccarthur, great general, but he was being in subordinate Lyndon Johnson. I discovered when he was dealing with the Vietnam war in nineteen sixty eight some of us have been known before. But his commander in Vietnam. William Westmoreland asked him to move nuclear weapons to be at Phnom for use in case. There was a battle that they would lose and Johnson said absolutely not. I'm shutting this down. I want every document connected with your request locked up for decades. Which is one reason why I got a hold of some of the last documents the last couple of years because Johnson knew that if you use nuclear weapons even Vietnam could have quickly gone nuclear with Russia and China could have killed sixty sixty million human beings people who say, you know, wars are better left to the generals. Well, that's true. Some of the time, but you need a president with larger experience and wisdom and a broader viewpoint to overrule them when when necessary Michael Beschloss presidents of war. The epic story from eighteen or seven to modern times. My question has to do with the potential reader of the book and readers outside the United States or non Americans reading the book. Will they go through this book and shake their head ES saying we've known this for the for the longest time. The United States is instigated wars against Mexico against Spain. Against a variety of nations is it for Americans to learn that those outside the United States have been on the receiving end of a variety of let's just call them conflicts that they may not have started. No question. Pam, I mean, one thing that I really right about is the number of times, we've had our president's getting us into major war is because of fake incidents that they often contrived James Polk got us into a big war with Mexico over a border incident in Texas that he fabricated because he really wanted a big war to get about a million square miles of territory to make the continental nation or McKinley getting us into the war against Spain. Because at American ship. Was sunk the Maine off Havana turns out, it was talk not by the Spanish, but by a boiler accident, but you can't go to war against boilers. I guess and Lyndon Johnson famously. Gulf of talk in nineteen sixty four and incident that that it turns out never took place yet Johnson and Nixon use that incident that never took place to wage war for ten years based on that Gulf of Tonkin resolution. They that Johnson got from congress now for Americans. This may be. A footnote an academic footnote for most of Americans when they understand or they try to understand American history. But for all of the nations that you just mentioned indeed, indeed, we can add Honduras fifty four for example. This is not ancient history for all the people. Correct. Correct. And the other problem is that over the two hundred years that I'm describing and I'm getting into the lives of all these people. They're emotional breakdowns, their marriages, their religion how much empathy that had. But what has happened in our society is that the founders wanted wars to be declared only by congress in the last seventy years, we've had no war declaration since nineteen forty two by congress wars have been started by president long singlehandedly almost overnight. Donald Trump if he wants to can eventually wage a war of magnitude and do it on his own. Let's hope that he has the wisdom to only do that. If there's a real threat to our national security. It's time for one more question the fourth infantry division fort Carson, Colorado is enjoying the winter in Afghanistan. This war has gone on teen years you and I were weaned on awards four years anything longer than that. Times the length of World War. Exactly, how disassociated are the elite of this nation from the fighting forces his it every right? The founders wanted if there was a war everyone should bear the sacrifice equally. Soldiers had come from every sector of society, if their taxes to be paid, everyone would have to pay the taxes, you'd know if there was a war on and one thing I write about is that in the last couple of decades, we have fought wars where you know, a huge overwhelming percentage of America would not even know that the war existed. If you look at the number of people that they knew who were fighting our wars are now fought by a very small segment of American society, and that encourages presidents to launch wars more frequently because the public doesn't feel it has Alica sacrifice emotion of the book. The chapter are like that's how could this thing happen about a moment of the twentieth. Century presents were Michael Beschloss. The epic story from eighteen hundred seven to modern times really getting deserved buzz here and particularly given the Mellstrom of our midterm elections. And i'm. Twenty twenty Michael bestseller. Thank you so much of a swing. Tim know, the we get what did we get forty books a day eighty bucks a day? You get eighty whatever it just jumped right out Beschloss ten-year work a lot like mentioned earlier Edward Larrabee. A string of tufts gave me the Larrabee book and said shut up and read it brilliant on FDR is general's said brilliant. I did I did I read that cover to cover Beschloss president's award. Which is a good thing from Williams College. My point this will negative to forty excuse me, where negative three hundred one point here with twenty five point six eight markets on the move. We'll do more data chicks through the day. This is Bloomberg radio. Now, let's find out what's going on. In the world, we go to Pat Carroll, Pat. Thanks, Pimm new developments in the pipe bomb investigation. Federal authorities have discovered two more explosive devices one addressed to New Jersey Senator Corey Booker was found in Florida. The other two former national intelligence director James Clapper was sent to CNN discovered at a Manhattan postal sorting facility this morning, the I ten suspicious packages earlier this week had return addresses from congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Wasserman Schultz whose district is in southern Florida. So the last couple of days have been trying.

"Eight fifty W F T. The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks. He's absolutely right on that. And I know the criticisms out there January the president needs to tone it down. Oh, any will when the media stops attacking him? That's when. And when okay, let's be honest when the politicians themselves stop calling for violence happened Maxine Waters telling you know, if you're a, you know, a Trump hater or your support my 'cause then getting their faces tracks straight them down in the street like holy cow. Eric Holder with their down we kick them. Yeah. Yeah. And and you know, all people who receive these pipebombs yesterday. And now they just said they found another one in Delaware address to Joe Biden, understand two things one. None of these have exploded. Which is probably the best news second. None of these people have even gotten close to these bombs because it would be somebody in their mail room. I guess she got one at her office because one of the packages had her address as the return address, and they couldn't. There was no mailing address to send it to the one. They send it to didn't exist. So it went back to her up centreback. So it probably ended up at her campaign office. I don't think it ended up at her house, but still that's the closest got to regular people. That makes sense. It makes perfect sense. What you're saying? What I don't understand is. How can the AP just go Runamuck yesterday and say they went right to Hillary Clinton's home. No. No. And again, it's always hours later, they let let it live for a while. And then they come out later and say we've deleted tweets and earlier saying the divisive it founded Hillary and Bill Clinton psalm the source who provided the information was incorrect. Fact advice was intercepted at a nearby facility as a matter because it ran for hours. Most people are saying did you hear they tried to bomb the Clintons house nowhere near her house? I however, the George Soros bomb probably did make it to his mailbox or maybe he has people go through his male who knows. But even if it did make it to his mailbox his house. It's like a via way from the mailbox again. It would have been somebody who worked for them. They probably would have been hurt had the thing detonated. I would assume they what they do is. They take it apart. They analyze all of them. They compare all of them. And if they know of any bombmaker already they're already in the system. So they'll say, oh, this looks like, you know, Harvey's work from such and such Arkansas. Yeah. Daddy's work from and they'll go talk to these people. They'll they'll have an arrest. I would say by the end of the week. I bet you they will if not by today, they have somebody already. You would think because in many cases, these packages were not delivered through the postal service. So yeah, they were hand delivered. That's the other thing. How many of them had the head stamps on them? And yet not process because you know, how the post office postal service will stamp something over the stamps. Right. So you know delivered through them. So there's gotta be a video camera of somebody dropping off a package somewhere. You know, that's already been looked at. So I got a feeling they already know who it is. And they're just kind of putting the pieces together. I think you're right. Of course, they didn't stop all the speculation. This is Trump's America is all his fault. It's his rhetoric is it really nothing if he's he's completely scot-free on this. But he's a reactor like we said before he's reacting to the constant attacks here. And okay, just who shot senators on a baseball field. Yeah. Well, a good point. We'll just end it. They're big debate last night. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think Rhonda did himself any favors, and again, what is he going to start talking about this forty percent tax on businesses and the possibility of a state income tax that is you made the best point last hour. Jan when you told friends of yours just that that was plan in it is you can look it up. People are shocked shocked because first of all it shocking. And Secondly campaign is not getting that message across the I've never heard him say it off the Broadway ticket thing. It's not gonna change your vote because everybody, and that's all he talked about last night was as Hamilton ticket thing, I'm thinking, you know, what every American in the world had they gotten the opportunity to get a front row seat to go see Hamilton and his show that was sold out for three years. I would've taken it to now is that indicative of probably further corruption. Probably you don't set up a sting operation. You think the guy will be on the take so true? But how dirty this thing has gotten as far as playing the race card? This absolutely shocked me. Mr. Disentis in Spokane first of all he's got Neo Nazis, helping him out in this state. He is spoken at racist conferences, he's accepted. A contribution would not return. Yeah. He went nuts. The response on that. By the way, just unfortunately, we didn't get it. But the problem with Rhonda Santa says in my said this earlier if I were from another country, and all I didn't even speak English or understand the language, and I watched the body language and the reaction of these two candidates last night. I would vote for Andrew gillum hands down because he's much more poised. He presents himself more professionally. He doesn't lose his temper. He's got two points to hammer home that guy running against me as a racist because he's white right? I mean, I've not far off. That's what he's saying. But that is a Neo Nazi too, by the way. Don't forget and his status. Oh, horrible. We need big change. Is it look at our state economy were booming. But it doesn't matter people. He just these cells that line and people are scooping it up it or what why he hasn't messed with this income tax thing is beyond me. All right, Kennedy, LA dodgers, just wanna get out of the house of horrors that has been.
