"Say Happy New Year, isn't it? I think so. I think normally around the 10th is when that changes Where be happy New Year anyway. It's our first show, so it's great to be with you here. Three PM throughout the year, 2021. We will be on quite a bit. Not every Saturday, Robert Quite off and in the Saturday afternoon lineup, your hometown lawyer by way of background, Rob What would you describe me like law as doing so I'm gonna stay plenty attorney. What I do with that is I help people with trusts wills, powers of attorney probate in a state administration. Basically, it's a one stop shop to deal with death and dying in capacity a little bit of a morbid way to put it, but at the same time, let's face it. We're all gonna pass away at some point. We're all going to have expenses and in financial issues associate with our passing. I could help make those go is quickly a smoothly as inexpensively as possible to avoid as much governmental interference in taxation is we can at me like law is you said you, It's all about a state planning, so we'll get into like examples. I love the stories. You tell that really go to. Well, I'll say it right now. If you're 18 or over, you should have In the state plan exactly that right now, because you know, people stopped their cars. What I've got to send his 19. He doesn't have an estate plan while his powers of attorney there's all kinds of things to get into, besides just a will in a trust. So there's that biggest day planning umbrella. A lot of stuff is inside that rob right? Absolutely. Not. All state plans are created equal fact no to a state sponsor created equally. Three idea that again just to kind of reiterate enough for people Listen to show with regularity. I do exactly say that every single person over the age of 18 should have in a state plan. Why do I believe that? Because any person over the age of 18 is one moment away from incapacity were all one moment away from incapacity. Sudden moment behind bad moment behind the wheel on sort of a disease. We can all go from being perfectly capacity aided in time, 12 completely incapacitated in time, too. And once somebody reaches the age of 18 Unless you have a power of attorney in place. People who are parents of a 19 year old 18 year old 20, or whatever the cases are unable to make financial health care decisions. They can't even find out that person's been admitted to the hospital. Unless there is a power of attorney in place outside to talk about Cove in a little bit, just robbed a to remind people who haven't been around the hospital lately. It's a different world with Cove. It There's not many people standing around. Families used to be visiting patients, their loved ones, even and I think the ICU I think those days are are over. Robbie if something horrible happens if somebody is in a hospital, and the loved one wants to go see them power of attorney I think we'll talk about this later. It's critical. In fact, you need to show proof of that correct. Absolutely, to be able to be in that room again. Make a decision. Correct. Covert, assigned me Sure, Covert has absolutely changed the landscape, but But even irrespective of Cove it they're still HIPPA in place. And for those of you who are familiar with hip hop, Most people heard the term HIPPA. What it stands for is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. In English. What it means is hip it governs when and what and how information can be shared between medical physicians, medical nurses, things like that and their patients. A protects the patient's rights to have their health information not be shared against their consent. And that's what it really comes down to kind of tied up back together the 18 year old who is not able to make medical decisions, because here she is in a coma to the correction, let's say Because of that coma that 18 year old does not have the ability to say to the doctors. Yes, I want my parents to know. Yes, I want my parents feel like medical decisions. They're fully sedated out of it after surgery or whatever. That's exactly right now. They can't. They can't speak for themselves or make a decision. This is where the power of attorney now correct me If I'm wrong Rod power of attorney P. O A. You hear this a lot legal people throw it around like it's part of every day. Talk right. We need to understand there's a financial and then there's a health part. So there's really two forms correct and the way I divided up that is house traditionally about it up to in financial health care, But as a practical matter, I like to make the distinction of health care and everything else because even if things aren't what you or I or anyone in the audience would consider traditionally financial those air often covered under a financial power of attorney. The common example I use is the ability to receive mail. I don't think anybody would necessarily hold that to be financial, but since it's not Healthcare. It falls under the umbrella of the financial power of attorney. So all this state planning questions, Rob, I just want to give up some information how to reach you. You've got for me like law. Five locations right now in Richfield. Heart, Washington West Ben Mak Kwan and Beaver Dam. We can call you. I think that's the best way to communicate right round. Absolutely. I'm Trish I'm 39 years old and maybe a millennial, but I always prefer to pick up the phone. You're old school Milan. I am I'm a throwback. It's just kind of the way it goes. Maybe it's the way my parents raised me. But I'm always one to pick up the phone and how. Of course I can email. I do text like any good millennial does. But at the same time, the best way to do it is to have a phone call. Because again, what I like about the phone call is its ability to deal with the nuances, right. I mean, you can text and have basic conversations. Hey, I'll meet you here two o'clock, great. But when it comes to a state planning a lot of times when a question is answered, it may lead to additional questions and text mayor may not necessarily be the most conducive way to be able to have those kinds of discussions but again. My whole practice model. Paul is whatever makes it easier for my client or my perspective clients. I'm glad you said that you make house calls. I do mean you'll visit the home. You can come to the five locations you could do a virtual a visit on a phone or computer? Absolutely. Whatever works best. Oh, the show is called your Hometown lawyer Estate planning attorney is rob me like and that's pretty much That's how we describe your work estate planning exactly. Questions you don't trust will's will get into probate. We'll talk about it. Ah lot of material today. But any any questions could be directed right to the office. And again. That number is 262347 34 44 to 623473444 for me like love those five locations. Beaver Dam Port Washington, Mac one West Ben Richfield. This show on W them for some time now going back to last year. Well, why should you no more? You know what? They're good. They're real. They're good. You're good. This is a This is a kind of ball game. You like to play and you know, you kind of figure it's going to be a one possession ballgame. Well, really, You know, I got so much respect for their program there change that state finals followed years and they're well coached that they do things right. So to get a win against a program like that, really, really good for us. You know, we gave him too long kickoff returns and interception for a touchdown. And we've got like we had a butt away, and it just kept coming back at us. Runningback. Reckon Green had 140 yards 22 carries great job. I am my quarterback do for about 150, so we really balanced I made some big plays through the air, and then we've got a couple first downs. To put the game away late, which which was good, So it was it was. It was a tough ballgame, but my coaching staff did a great job. You know, one of the keys in his game was getting out in front. Were you able to get up early and or stay head, so to speak? It's an important way to play in a game like this. Yeah, We went right down the field and scored. We were up to touch down most of the way, but it would just come back and make plain right. It's always like a six or an eight point game. We never could really relax. So credit goes to him for that. But Goodwin for our program. We got amounts back and playing really improved Martinsville team next week. Well, they're playing well, obviously, Obviously, you guys know about one another. Sometimes That's good. Sometimes it's not. But I mean, the way you're playing, Mike, you got to be thrilled of what this group has accomplished to this point. You know, there's been so much adversity for everybody right? I would situation for kids endure that and survive. It's been awesome. Luckily, we work in a school that Really helps us out with that. So you can look forward to it, You know, moving forward way left to go so hopefully we'll be ready to go 100% healthy, Bob, you know this year? Yeah, this time of year. They're just playing this one of those great nights where offense defense. Everything you did was wonderful. Yeah, The team played exceptionally well, You know the county. They're kind of banged up and they had some kids out, Unfortunately for them, but to their credit, they came out and played the football game, so they've gotta be proud of themselves for that. "Have been waiting patiently to appear on the program, and so let's go back to the phones. Ron in Modesto, California. I'm glad that you waited. Appreciate your patients, sir. Hello. Hello. Megha Does Russian daily listener first time caller frustrated California. Listening to your show. You know, I feel we need to have a clarification and a common opinion clarification is that California is divided. Its take I five that runs from L. A All we have to Washington West side by five is the communist California the east side of I five is Republican California. We have to deal with. Those people from Ella Simms, just go dictating everything. So I just want to clarify that cause your California It's going to go blue. It always does. There's nothing US Republicans could do about it. In regards to Gavin and his illegal mandates. Republican California We don't listen to him. We don't care Every time he talks, another family moves out of California. So it's not gonna have any impact on our Halloween, our Thanksgiving or Christmas. My opinion is if you're that scared, stay home. The virus is not dependent, make the fear that they're producing from this is the pandemic. That's what I have to say. All right, Well, I'm glad you called. Thank you, Ron. Ah, Joe, and then bury Connecticut. Great to have you with us, sir. How are you? Mega Dido Rush. Hey, I called because I wanted to explain why plugged by he'll get into the Paris Accord hoax despite the cleanliness of our air and water. It was supposed to be Hillary $3 trillion payoff for surrendering America to China. She surrendered. It was just another Solyndra. And I could explain why if you're interested Ah, no, no, no, that's that's that now. I'm not interested in that. That's that's That's not what you said you wanted to talk about. So We're trying to be as accommodating as we can. Here. All we ask is you tell us the truth. If you tell us, you're going to talk about X, get on and talk about why then we've taken your call under false premise. And that's Ah, That's AH, that's that's not good. Lets go, Kevin in in Louisville. Great to have you Your next will give you a shot Rush. Joe Biden claims that his tax plan is to not raise tax on anybody. Making less than 400,000. And that is really alive because Joe intends to increase tax on corporations. Corporation's really don't pay tax. They passed the taxes on to their consumers. So if I own a business, and I'm selling something for $10 Not profit $1 and he increases my tax 10%. Then I'm just going to raise my prices $11. So in reality with his plan, the little guy's paying all of the corporate taxes. You know he is. Peter Too dumb to grasp that. Or the person pulling his strings knows precisely what's going on, and they're just deceiving everybody. Of course, Of course, everybody knows what's going to look. This is something as a as a 77 year old. Guy with 47 years in Washington. He knows exactly what he's lying about here. He knows exactly what he's misrepresented to two points about this. Biden has pledged that he's going to raise taxes on corporations and people. Who make $400,000 a year or more. Then he says that he's going to repeal the trump tax cuts. Funks. The mathematics is very soon. If he follows through and if they repeal the trump tax cuts, then everybody is going to get a tax increase. The Trump tax cuts benefited people who make less than $400,000. A year at the Trump tax cuts were across the board under the premise that everybody deserves a tax cut. There's there's no law that says just because you make Next numbers of millions that you have to pay more or a greater percentage. Than anybody else, So there's two things here. Biden says. He's only going to raise taxes on people who make 400 grand a year or more, but he's going To repeal the trump tax cuts Well if he repeals the trump tax cuts than everybody is getting a tax increase. Everybody, including you. He's lying through his teeth when he tells you if you're a lesson for degree of a year that you're not gonna get a tax increase, Ur The point about corporate taxes is exactly right. Corporation's pass tax increases along to the consumer. As much as they can. There are some limitations they face. Depending on the industry there in and depending on the competitive times that they are involved in. You know, it's it's not axiomatic that a corporation can raise prices on a goods or services. It's goods or services anytime it wants. There are there are tricky ways that they can raise prices. But they still have to have to be really careful that not doing damage themselves in the competitive realm. If they're if they're competitors are not going to raise prices and they do then they've got They've got a problem but generally speaking in a philosopher, philosophical sense, corporations do not pay taxes. That is correct. 90% of the time. It's exactly correct Corporations pass tax increases on to the consumer By folding the tax increase that they face into the price of whatever it is they're selling. So Kevin is exactly right about that. Kevin and Lou corporations as a rule do not pay taxes. They're happy, though, for you to think they do. Oh, they would love for you to think they're getting soaked, Which is why they never complain about it. But they don't get sucked. You do every tax increase.

"Oh, eight ten. Oh, that's the no aren't you Franklin here on K, G O. We just heard from Sima the court TV reported from about the twenty fifth anniversary of the OJ trial. Right the middle of it. Now do you remember I was Outer Banks of North Carolina during that? And I mean and my wife and I were together when he was announced that not guilty and we looked at each other like you gotta be freaking kidding me. But, you know, everybody I knew I knew a lawyer, my, my mom worked for US district attorney's office, and he said he was surprised that they stand out as long as it. Did he thought that that Mark Furman killed the case for the prosecution and that exactly as Sima had said earlier, there was no sympathy at all for her that she was like it was almost like this thing like like she was a horrible woman, but he decapitated her? I would if OJ Simpson had a coronary tonight and died. I would shed, no tears. I think the guy should have been in jail the rest of his life. He decapitated his ex wife. He literally cut her. They heard head was barely hanging on that holds a lot for me. Clint you're on with chip and Nikki Keijo. If the glove doesn't fit, right? Right. Move ever God. That was so brilliant, Johnny Cochran. He was he was, of course, in more than Seinfeld with that. That's right. Forgot about that. Yeah. Unbelievable. Everybody knows the you're not doing nineteen eighty nine earthquake. And I'm over everybody knows that they've got the difference yesterday in the xactly where they were hit here, Tober, eight nine and they know exactly where they were. When they watched the OJ chase. Yeah. Thanks for the call. The white Bronco that was that's been. You can't see a white Bronco today. Absolutely, dave. Hi you're on chip in Nikki. Yeah. I think yo J Simpson case reflected three things to be still true today. Money buys, one by excellent lawyers better adversarial, ability to manipulated hearing it building. Suppress evidence in the building, just to suppress the truth of what the defense, but that was just all it was was the. Money. Your money buys the kind of experience can by the kind of deer excellence that you need. If you can can intimidate the other side, it can do a lot. You're right. I mean, they can they can bury you and depositions that can do money is. Yeah. It's that's what's there's, that's a real privilege in American society, money privilege. Right. Coming up. "Okay. Google play KTAR h an iheartradio. Okay. Welcome back to coast to coast William pepper with us. We'll get your calls in just a second the case with sir hand Sirhan in that particular case, you're convinced that there was another shooter involved. William are you not? Yes. Yes. There's no question about that. Where was that person stationed the person who killed Bob Kennedy was behind him and not down just behind him and fired? Bob was hit with four bullets at powder. Burn range. From the rear and they were pardoned upward angle. And the last one the last entered his his head in his brain from behind behind the year about an inch from behind him Sirhan was never closer than about five. Six feet to Bob. Kennedy in the front in front of him always in front. Sirhan had been a condition that was a more than a small amount of of mind control operations that would conducted on him over a period of two weeks. And he his role was simply when he was pinched by his handler on the neck his role was the jump down from the steam table stand up with a gun and distract everyone by shooting in front of Kennedy. He got off two shots. And then his hand was pinned to the the steamed. Hateful. He kept pulling the trigger but for six more shots, but the bullets went all over the place. There's absolutely no doubt at all that the that the powder. Burn shots that killed Bob. We're fired from behind and below and Sirhan was a distraction. Help in in front any only got off to bullets people. They they they jumped on him and controlled control. His his issue are in was he like Cherian candidate. Well, he was he was like insure and candidate in the sense that yes, it would there was mind control operations that that that were performed on him. Both hip hip hypnosis, a combination of hypnosis and chemicals. So he, but he wasn't a mature in candidate in the sense that he was expected to be the assassin was a pro who was precisely for the purpose of taking advantage of all of the disruption and the chaos resulted from sir Hans role as a distracter. So that's that's what that's what his his role was. And why take Bobby because he was too close to John F Kennedy. Same kind of of of no Bob was going to this is a classic reason for political assassinations. They couldn't bothered won the California primary. He was on his way to to to getting the nomination and becoming president. He would have beaten Nexen, no doubt. It was it was going to be president. But and he he was pretty clear that he was going to reopen. The investigation of the assassination of his brother had said that he was going to eliminate the oil depletion allowance which was going to cost the oil companies and their bankers millions of dollars. It was Bob. Kennedy was going to end the war in Vietnam. I mean, he was going to take all of these positions that were simply wholly unacceptable to the powerful ruling forces of the society, you think he would have still gone after Castro. Do you think he had given up on that? No, I think he would definitely not have gone after Castro. He definitely shared his brother's laid view that Fidel Castro and the Cuban regime should should've engaged in negotiations with the United States, and leading to the normalization of relations there that whole Cold War mentality that that led to the the early antipathy toward Fidel had had gone away and was even had gone away. When the time when when when Jack Kennedy was killed. Let's go to the phones now Jenny Seattle Washington west of the Rockies. Hi, jenny. Go ahead. George. Hi, Dr Pepper. I'm so grateful. You're on this show tonight talking about this. And I can't wait to read your book and the other two I like to know if you have any ideas about what happened to John union? Felt that he was acetate as well. Well, Jenny first of all thank you for calling in. And it's it's a pleasure to talk to you. And I I have enormous respect for Seattle as a city as as a place where that that embodies the some of the true values of of America, one of one of the few places left. I might say so I can graduate you living in and working in that in that in that city in terms of John junior. I can only say, I don't know. There are very yes. There are some suspicious elements of the of his death like the plane all of a sudden just plummeted as you probably know much more than I do about that case. But the plane just lost out the tune very rapidly and plummeted I one point in time indicating that the may have been some electromagnetic interference with the aircraft. But I. I don't know. I I do understand that John John John. We call him was going to run for the Senate in New York, and that he was going to become involved in politics. And that he always had a concern about what happened to his father as he grew. So you're right to be suspicious. I think some others may have done some more serious work on that case that and and maybe maybe different picture will unfold not when you when you attempt to get a new trial force or Sirhan hand. What grounds are you aiming for? While the the major reason that's our hand should have. I should be given a least injury hearing and preferably new trial is is the sixth amendment to the constitution. He had totally inadequate represented legal representation. His lawyer started off by telling the jury we're not here to ask you to to acquit this man, we believe he's guilty. Oh, my we should not be out on the streets. And we we're only gonna ask you to save his life. We're not going to ask you to acquit him. We we share the prosecution's opinion. I mean, this is this is this is the this is the style of the defense counsel. But, sir. He went along with that though, sir handed. Well. The problem is easy for us to say, well, how can a guy Lau this happen? But when you're in a very closed isolated situation. And you're only hearing one set of opinions and advice, and you don't have any dissent, and your lawyer hells, you our job is the save your life. They've got you on this. They're going to they're going to they're going to execute. You. We got to save your life. So you've got to let us do everything we have to save your life. I mean that that is ways very heavily on a defendant in the circumstances that the hand found himself. How was his English? Then how is it? Now. Always is English is fine. Yeah. He's fine. He's bright and very very aware and very very alert. How often are you in touch with them? Now, William well, we have the let my last physical contact with him was a was a parole hearing earlier this year where of course, he was the nine parole. But the interesting thing about hearing was pulse. Raid. Was a United Auto Workers Representative in the Bob Kennedy and the Kennedy campaign. Hall came to the for the first time to this hearing. He had actually been with Bob and had had been wounded on the night of the of the killing and he just came. He's done research over many years on this. Pose ninety one years old now, and he's totally showed up and was convinced that that Sarhan should be granted parole and spoke out and and in favor of of parole, which of course, they're not going to do they're they're determined that he will die in prison. Well, what he do if they let him go. Where would he go? He would probably go back. Go back to Jordan. He would probably go read go there. He would he has has he react. I'm just curious has he reacted the world events lately or reacted to ISIS, or I'm just curious what he thinks of what's happening around this planet these days. Well, I mean, I think he has he's he's a shock. Then he he as has despair for a lot of the problems that that have come upon his people. Remember Sarhan is is Palestinian he's not Muslim. And he's he's been the the the mass media have tried to portray him as the first was he was Christian terrorist. But he's not he's not even Muslim is he comes from a Christian family. Yeah. As many people in the Middle East. Do yes, yes. I need in despair. As to what's happening to the Palestinians, particularly with you know with their their removal and the West Bank by Israel. And it's it's a very sad situation. There's no question that we as a planet should be doing something for the Palestinian, PL rebuilding Gaza and everything else and giving them some hope and something that they can look forward to. Yes, let's go to join the Bronx. Joe welcome to the program. You are. I'd like to ask the pepper if he has any idea who the actual shooters Martin Luther King junior was and chief of surgery, do you know, what his name is. I know I know the names of both of them. The shooter of Martin king is alive. I had lunch with him. Former Memphis police officer. Yes, he was he's a he's a former Memphis police does he admit this. Oh, no. But one of my one of my researchers on the ground who's known him for thirty years. He drives a cab now and Memphis jumped in the back of his cabinet Jay said Frank what's going on? I understand that peppers got a lot of a lot of new information and evidence, and that they may be coming after you. And I was nervous was with caught he was caught off guard. And he said he said coming out of what are they gonna come? After me for something. I did thirty years ago. Something I did thirty years ago. Or something I knew about God. Yeah. Doctor in the hospital. Of course, no names, given is is he still alive? No, he's dead. And he has there's no, yeah. I all these people in the book, and I described a luncheon meeting with the shooter, and and and he refused to eat lunch. But he came to sat down with me and over over lunch. The the doctor was the chief of surgery. His name was Breen Biard E N bland, be LAND actor brain bland. And what's coincidental about him? Is he was also the family doctor for the for the Dixie mafia family, the Atkins family who are responsible for coordinating things on the ground, and Memphis, I work very closely with Memphis mayor and the chief of of the director of police and fire. So Dr bland aside in on a meeting of that. And I have one of the key witnesses. A lot of information that I have in detail, and I mean detail in this book the plot to kill king one of the one of the sons of the of of Russell Adkins who sat in on a lot of these meetings. Heard the doctor say you've just make sure if he's not killed when he shot just be sure you get him to my hospital, Saint Joe's rush, we'll make sure that would he have died, regardless in your opinion..
