Dine-and-Dashers Abduct, Assault Waitress Who Tried to Stop Them, NJ Police Say

"I was just reading about something that happened in turnerville, New Jersey, Washington township. And this is going to get me in trouble for saying this. Because we need to have a serious conversation about race in America. When Joe Biden talks about the thugs at the at the capitol on January 6th, what about all the violence we're seeing in the streets of America today? Chicago. How about Saturday at the nifty 50s, in turnerville, New Jersey? Police are searching for the suspects caught on surveillance video who are believed to be involved in the attack. Now, there's no mention of the suspect's race. No mention of the waitress is race. Here's what happened. There was a table of 5 customers who were attempting to skip out on their $70 bill at this diner. And the waitress sees it. And she goes out into the parking lot to try to confront the 5 suspects. They abducted the 20 year old, they dragged her into the car and they beat her. Mercilessly. The vehicle headed north on route 42, made a U turn was headed north south toward Monroe township, and then they pushed her out of the vehicle. Somehow she was in killed. She was beaten badly. Because she's a hardworking young woman trying to make a living waiting tables. Now, I'm reading this article, and I'm wondering, why is there no descriptive descriptor of the suspects? Well, we know the answer to that. The media never identifies black suspects anymore as being black suspects. And yeah, these suspects are black. And she's white. Now, I don't know that bad people are bad people. Criminals are criminals. But we do see a dish proportionate percentage of crime being committed in the streets of America by black Americans.

The final countdown: What to expect on Election Night

"Tonight we are on the cusp of one of the most uncertain election outcomes in recent history after the most heated campaign season in memory the pandemic and the economy are defined the candidates closing arguments to an electorate that's extremely polarized but also energized more than ninety three million. Americans. have already cast their ballots. We could see one, hundred, fifty, million Americans vote this time. That's never happened before president trump in five battleground states today all once he took four years ago now. Fighting to keep them telling supporters a quote. Great Red wave is coming former vice president Joe Biden campaigning in Michigan yesterday with former President Obama trying to rebuild the Democrats Blue Wall of Rust Belt States Pennsylvania is the most important of them. Biden is in all three there today a new ABC News Washington Post poll from Pennsylvania Shows Biden with a seven point lead but the president is promising a come from behind victory. We have reports from both campaigns and from key battleground states and ABC's White House correspondent. Rachel. Scott leads us off in Detroit Michigan. Tonight president trump in an all out push five rallies in five states he needs to win again to stay in the White House vote the big thing you gotta go Tuesday the president, predicting a tremendous election day turnout and today his campaign advisor Jason Miller falsely suggesting votes counted after election date would be illegitimate if you speak with many smart Democrats, they believe the president. Trump will be ahead on election night, and then they're going to try to steal a back after the election Democrats have argued in court that ballots postmarked by election date should be counted. Many state laws allow that but president trump continues to insist a winner must be declared that night. We should know the result of the election on November third the evening of November third. That's the way it's been, and that's the way it should be. But the reality though news organizations often project winners on election night the final tallies in each state aren't certified for days. If not weeks more Democrats tend to vote early than Republicans and officials say those early votes may take some time to count in key states like Michigan that could. Decide the election and it's more important that we get a count that as accurate. Then account that is fast and might not be accurate. The president started his busiest day on the trail yet here in Michigan State that was decided by just under eleven thousand votes in two thousand, sixteen, two days from now, we're going to win the state of Michigan again. In Washington township in crucial mccomb county, the line started hours before he arrived cars bumper to bumper waiting to get in overflow parking nearby cornfield. He is the one and only guy that has had the guts to stand up for what this country was based on just afternoon the president was off to his second stop Iowa. And their signs it will come through for him. Again, trump holding a seven point lead over Joe Biden, and the latest demoing register poll were very happy with Iowa. Thank you very much. But nearly every national poll. The president is behind in recent days even. It could you imagine losing to this guy? Could you imagine on defense in his final blitz stopping in? North Carolina, Georgia and Florida to over and over again, the president downplaying the coronavirus rounding the turn on a pandemic we're rounding the corner. But after the nation had a single day record in corona virus cases, Dr Anthony Fauci warning the country is in for a whole lot of hurt in the coming months telling the Washington Post, you could not possibly be position more poorly.

"Five days a week, learning right? And a lot of the athletes in Washington Township specifically North Central. They did like a big video where they were basically begging the school to reconsider. You know, this was their senior year. Some of them have college scholarships on the line here, let them have a senior year and it sounds like that video, among other things. Actually helped. So Washington Township in a time where some people are trying to cancel sports. They've pulled a 1 80 said, You know what? We're going to listen to. Our student athletes were going to go along and allow it right now. But we will continue to monitor the look What happened in Iowa. It's not getting any press or any coverage at all. High school baseball in Iowa just wrapped up Their season. Now they do a little bit differently. They do it different in Iowa than you do in Indiana in terms of the length of the season and when the duration and and when it starts and ends, right, right. In Indiana is mainly like spring sports and fall Sports won Iowa They have like winter, and then they have summer sports. So in theory, you could play golf in the spring and then baseball in the summer as to where here in Indiana both those sports combined anyway. Iowa just wrapped up their high school baseball season. It wasn't it wasn't all smooth sailing with the covert angle, but 94% of the teams were unaffected. 96% finished the season. On any infections that were reportedly were mild, and fans were actually allowed in to watch the Games. Imagine that fans showed up. 94% of the teams were unaffected and all infections were miles. And I would say if Iowa High School Baseball could figure it out, couldn't Major League baseball figure similar? Well, What are we going to get to a point where somebody that's an athlete test positive? And it doesn't make the news, right. I saw our TV six the other day with the headline. Warren Central Football Player test Positive. I got news for you. These athletes are going to test positive. The Corona virus exists. We're not saying that it doesn't exist. But if we've learned anything from the UFC from NASCAR once you have an athlete test positive. You remove, said athlete anybody that might have had contact with him and you move on, and you continue to play. UFC still have their pay per view. Jimmy Johnson couldn't raise in the Brickyard three days later, he's testing cars for the next race. That's what you do. The ST Louis Cardinals over the weekend, had 4 to 6 players and coaches and employees test positive. Why not just isolate those folks and play on? No, I get the Florida Marlins that was 60% of the roster..

"Up to that. Is this? Ah What we are going to see. From other school districts where they decided we can have classes has to be online. You know that Corona virus Well, you can have classes. Seems that decisions about this seem to fall in the political As opposed to the scientific That's part of the issue. Tony Katz, 93 w sometimes forget if I say so. Sometimes I say it twice Washington Township since it will only happen Online. That's their plan. Only happening online and they've got a statement. And you know they have Tio. Make sure that everybody is safe and students have saved them. The parents are safe and the teachers are safe. Well, where is the real safety concern? I shared this earlier. This was five different doctors on MSNBC of sending kids back to school. What would you like seeing set up in the school systems. They should try Tio increase the air flow in the classrooms tried to distance as much as possible. I have been doing a lot of research looking into face masks. I don't think they're Necessarily useful in elementary school Children. They do provide protection. I think for Isil students, would you let your kids go back to school? I will. My kids are looking forward to it. Yes. You're in absolutely absolutely as much as I can, without hesitation without hesitation. Yes, I have no concerns about sending my child to school in the fall. I will My kids go back to school. So He speaks of local doctors. Will they tell you to go back to school? And are we listening to the scientists? Are we listening to teachers? Who want to make this a political subject. I am not saying all teachers want this made. Some teachers are actually concerned and worried. Maybe some teachers are holy political and know that not going back to school is massively disruptive. Just like California knows that going back and shutting down churches and bars and hair salons is massively disruptive. Maybe the economy got too good, too quick. Tony, Are you denying that there's an uptick in cases? No, I'm denying that panic about an uptick in cases is a smart move. These people who claim to be about the science aren't about science. They are about panic. You say the word Corona virus to them. Oh, my God. Okay, it's happening, everyone. What's the procedure? They just lose their.

"Well in the afternoon. Wednesday's high up to 90. I'm wish TV Storm tracking meteorologist Marcus Bailey, 93 WNBC. I'm staying Leer on the level on the Go on Twitter at 93 W. A. B. C and w II be si dot com. Hammer and Nigel believe these characters weirdos 93 WNBC Nigel Jason Hammer is here with a very special in studio guest. Chris Davis is the news director here at 93 W A. B. C So Chris last week we spent some time talking about this alleged lynching that took place in Bloomington and then all the fallout That happened afterwards. The protests and there was a hit and run type of situation. And this all goes back to July 4th weekend where there was an African American man down by Lake Monroe, who said he was Attacked by these Redneck white racist guys. So what's the absolute latest that we know about this story this afternoon, The people who were accused in the attack spoke through an attorney named Andrew Baldwin. They did that here in downtown Indianapolis. What they're saying is that Mr Booker was actually the instigator that they had given him a ride earlier in the day they found him on their property. He was trying to get to a gathering that he was going to. And so they said, Well, look, we'll give you a ride to the property line. Show you where that is. And so he hopped on their TV. They gave him a ride to the property line. He gave them a beer from his cooler and everything was cool. They said hours later. This is the attorney says Mr Booker came back. And got in the woman's face. Her name is Caroline McCord and put his finger in her face. And that's when the guy Mr Shawn Purty got in between them. A CZ will happen. Onda, according to the attorney, Mr Booker hit Mr Purdy three times. So he says, Mister Booker was actually the one that punched first in the video and you see the video he's pinned to a tree. They claimed that pinning was necessary for self defense. Now they want waiting. They were waiting for the cops to arrive. Is that what the were the quote unquote lynching angle comes in here is that they were a claim and pretty and record claim. There was never any talk of any lynching. Never it never any talk of a noose. And that there was never any shout of white power that there was a shout of abuse of power because Mr Booker claimed to be a county commissioner and said he was going to find them. And ruin their lives. That's that's the claim by the attorney. So box Booker, who is the black guy in the situation, according to the attorneys, for the White guys was the instigator here. Yes, he was the instigator, and they claim that they have Taken polygraph test the property owners purty and McCord that they've taken a polygraph test, and they challenge Mr Booker to also take a polygraph test. Interesting. Where can we get more information on this? It's a W II be si dot com. You can listen to the entire press conference from today. They're awesome. Chris Davis News director. Thank you so much. Ah, big decision from Washington Township schools earlier today, Nige MST of Washington Township. Says they're going to become the first school system in Marion County, Tio go online for the upcoming school year we've heard from my P Yes, we've heard from a lot of school district's around central Indiana that they had planned to be. On time in person. Well, now MST Washington Township, who previously said they were going to be on time and in person there now backtracking a little bit and say classes will start online and that's what that's what would scare me. If I'm one of these townships is that they've all made announcements that said, basically, you know we're going to start on time. I'm gonna have some Some restrictions in place and now Washington Township the first domino to fall, and it was funny. Last week while I was in Florida. I saw these headlines at Trump said Something very controversial. Oh, boy, What do you say now? He actually said that Kids should go to school. Oh, my God, Trump said the war should be open on by thought, like, right from the get Go. I thought boy, this is going to turn political Quick. Ofcourse it did. And I don't think this is the only school That's gonna happen. I don't know what they're looking at. My no teachers that want to go back to school but are scared to speak up against the teachers union there. You know, In some states, they're threatening to strike work less more pay. The teachers unions on DH look, distance Learning is not learning. It's not school. It's not a substitute. I know this firsthand in my home. So the data says. I mean, it's it's not debatable in terms of the health of your student and cove it and spread and bringing it back into your home study after study after study Has has shown that kids are not vectors and the kids are that the flu pose is much more of a threat to Children. And but but two kids and teachers that poses a very low threat in terms of cove. It's so Look, kids don't spread the virus to others, like they do the flu. I'm much more terrified of my kid getting the flu than I am of them getting Koven. Of Swiss study just one of many studies, I could point to found that that viral loads of infected students are very low, and parents are more likely to give it to their own kids than the other way around. So in terms of the data, it's it's really can't argue it so I don't know what Washington Township. I don't know what's changed from June 20th till now, when they made that last announcement that said. That they're ah, their schools were going open five days a week. We've got the restrictions in place. I don't know what's changed. I do know that Allie Brown, the Indianapolis City County councillor, said quote Washington Township has decided to make all schooling virtual for the start of the school year. I'm hopeful that other schools will follow suit. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not a either, And if you'd gone in her statement, Nige, she goes on to say quote. We cannot allow our teachers and Children to become sacrifices to the economy. Right now. I want you to remember that because if you look up Alec Brown's page in regards to City County councillors here in the city and against his district five, it goes on down about halfway through on her bio that says she'll work on making child care more affordable so everyone can participate in our economy. So this is kind of her go to response. It's got to be about the economy. The economy. It's going to affect the economy of kids can't go to school. Listen. Parents are going to be put into a vice grip here if kids don't go to school You either don't want the economy to recover, or you only want certain people to be part of the economy. What is it, Allie? What are you talking about? Here With the economy, You're going to need to make that a little bit more clear. Ah, producer T K Dub. I think I need some mood music here. You better listen to this now because it's going away. Skins fights on it ISS. You haven't heard it a lot lately because they haven't scored a whole lot of touchdown the last couple of years, but hail to the Redskins. Normally played after a big red skins touched down..
