"If you used to get that authored the crime bill that exponentially punishes black people more than white people for the same crimes. He's the author. He just regular Joe from Scranton. He understands regular Joe. Regular Joe. She was screaming rides the train. Role of sleeves up. He's working class like you. Then the messaging is One of those rich people have so much Why did Donald Trump giving tax breaks to the rich? That comes up all the time. Of course, you didn't give a tax break to the ridge. He gave a tax break to anybody who pays taxes, Period. End of story. Have a nice day. Well, I live in California, New York. My taxes went up. We talk about Paige's right because This whole safe harbor where the federal government would offset your state taxes went away. So you're actually seeing in paying The true taxation. From your state government. Yeah, There was some weird deal in place where the federal government would offset Your taxes in these high tax states. How nuts is that? There was some sordid, weird, underhanded deal. That said. Hey, California, Illinois in New York. You want to overtax your people. No problem will offset it from the federal government will give you a tax break for the fellow government to make up for all the taxes that are being siphoned out of your paycheck from your state. Trump said. We're gonna do that. Voting better people in your state. Don't allow people to be elected that will fleece you when it comes to taxation. And then, Trump said, Let's lower taxes for everybody who pays taxes, which happened. And was happy days are here again. What I'm about to say verifiably true if you don't know this or if you could, If you confused about it, Look it up. Corporate taxes went from 35% down to 21. I think corporate taxes should be zero because the people working in the corporation ready pay taxes. It's basically double taxation. And when you tax a corporation, you're forcing the corporation to stop research and development. Lay people off. Don't hire as many people and don't offer as many new services. Those things roll verifiably true. You won't argue about that. The number is 1 805 017080. And then when they lower the corporate taxes suddenly manufacturers started coming back to America. That's verifiably true. Corporate headquarters started coming back to America. That's also true. Plus corporations didn't do with the left said they would do and hide the money in their mattresses and buy more yachts. They hired more people. They expanded more research and development. They biltmore brick and mortar. They offered more services. They started building more widgets. These things all happened. This is all true. Many of these big companies sent out $1000 bonuses. That Nancy Pelosi and W Washington Washington Schultz called crumbs $1000 is crumbs to these people. That's really what they did. Some companies gave out $2500 bonuses. Millions of workers in America got bonuses and or pay raises. That really happened. So what should we do? Knowing all of what I just said, is true to you again that you couldn't deny what I said being true. Look it up. Get back to me with your sourcing. So the reaction of that should be coming out of Cove. It Let's raise corporate taxes. Let's raise taxes on the evil rich. The evil of Riggs. In our country. Let's do that. Does that make sense? You know why? Because they're not paying their fair share. They're not paying. Their fair share. What is their fair share? How much should the rich pay? You've got a pool of taxation. That's 100%. Okay. 100% of the taxes. That equals what was collected by the government. Of that 100%. The top 1% of all wage earners. Pays 38 to 40%. Kid. You're not so that leaves 60% right? All the poor people are paying the 60%. No. The top 10% of wage earners in this country. This is all verifiably true. He's nearly 70% of all taxes. So now you've got the top 10% of those who are out there only wages, paying 70% of all taxation. 30% is left for the remaining 90%. Now the lowest income earners don't pay any taxes. So the middle the middle class. Upper middle class lower middle class. Even upper upper middle class. Are all paying a total of 30%. While the evil rich The top 10% pay 70. The top 1% pays almost 40. What is the fair share? How high should taxation go? Should be 50%. Should be 75%. You learn? O'Meara, one point said We should take a look at 90%. She wasn't kidding. So this is how we're supposed to rebound the A county. By the way, the unemployment numbers just came out. They went up. Unemployment tire now under Joe Biden. Probably for fear of the policies he's pushing. Probably because he he ended the Keystone XL pipeline and many other things that were Real jobs. When you ask him or yes, booted Judge or you ask John Kara? Yes, them about what these people do. They were building the pipeline. Their answer is something stupid, like they can build solar panels. Really? You have a you have thousands and thousands of solar panel jobs available right now and ready to go. Is that what's going on? I didn't notice that I didn't see where that's that's the thing. Maybe I missed it. So your thoughts about the economic policies that you're hearing? Are you not rich? Are you not the top 10%? Are you not the top 1%? Most of his own right. So do you think that the richer and paying their fair share do you think raising taxes on rich people somehow would make things better for you? Do you think they gonna take it for the rich and give it to you? Do you think that's gonna happen? Nothing to take from the rich and keep it has been in, However they want You're not getting any The rich people's money. Let me make that clear. And if it makes you feel better that somebody who worked his ass off for her ass off and accomplish something and now has a nice income. If it makes you feel better to get some of their income, there's something wrong with you. Just work hard and try. Try harder for yourself. Your thoughts on this. The policies of the new administration have become crystal clear. And it's attacked the rich rich versus poor. It's class warfare. It's race warfare. It's ethnic warfare. This is what they do. They divide and conquer your thoughts. 1 805 0170801 805 017080 Joe PAGs, calm. Stay here..

You tell me there's not some mega millionaire billionaires after that don't want to It's 100 million people involved like overnight and their companies. It's all about imagination. That's why I find it so galling. When I go on television, as I did some years ago. And I said when In 1900 at all three levels. Government Federal state local took less than 10% from the American people. Get a phone call from a fact checker. Well, well, well. Well, Boyd Hey, my source, and he admitted it was true. He found it. Jaw dropping. If someone went on television And said in 1900. State. Local federal all three levels. Government took less than 10% of American people Look around 9%. Right now. Army takes almost four times that much. The number really is higher when you add a Cost to a mandate is when the government tells you to do something and Doesn't give you the money to do it. You don't want to do it. You don't feel it has any value to your business. That to me is the cost. You do that? Warped almost 50%. But but people will be taken care off. You see, that's the Democrat Point of view. It's the liberal point of view as the term liberal has become. I mean these days On the Johns do it mill sense, But then they Maybe Washington Schultz, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer Sense Joe Biden sense I'll take care of you. I'll take of your take care of your family. I'll take care of your community. You get out of my way. My philosophy. You take care of you. You take care of your family. You take care of your community. I will get out of your way. There's a book called Tragedy of American Compassion. With my guy named Marvin Olasky. It's about how during the great Depression Any people, of course, were eligible for eight and took it. But many people were eligible for aid and did not take it. Did it from pride or What have you He tracked the families that took it and didn't And that you know where I'm going with the story. The ones who did it. Ultimately did better. Wasn't it? They didn't accept some sort of AIDS. It wasn't government. During the Great Depression. Carol will giving skyrocketed. You know when it started slowing down when government got in the bed business of relief. People still gave, but they didn't give us much because they felt that gave at the office. What's the problem with that? When government takes a dollar. Designed to get down to a Worthy eligible recipient. 70 cents out of that dollar is already burned up in transfer costs, as opposed to working for an organization like United Way, which I did for one summer. 85 90 cents on the dollar gets down to the intended beneficiary because so many of the workers are volunteers or our loan loan executives as I was You can't imagine charity being handled by the private sector. American, too. Too selfish, you say. There's a wonderful book about this called who really cares By Arthur Arthur Seabrook's Arthur C. Brooks the time he wrote the book was a professor of public policy at Syracuse University. And he wasn't particularly political. He grew up in a kind of a household that really wasn't quickly, particularly political. And he wanted to do a study about something that would be academically interesting. And he found out what she surprised Nobody had done a study to find out who was more generate whether liberal to conservatives were more generous. He assumed. The Liberals were And was shocked, as was that Harvard professor who found out the police did not kill black people just because they were black. If the police if anything, were more hesitant to pull the trigger against a black suspect in a white suspect. Brooks was equally shocked. He found out that Conservative household gave far more money than did liberal households. It was even close. Gave more time Don't any more time to charity than they did. Wasn't close. And the reaction When I told people this is well, Republican households have more money. The average Democrat household is wealthier than the average Republican household. It's not that at all. Is that Republicans believe The charity. His best done individual to individual nonprofit to individual. And they talked the talk and walk the walk. Also Conservatives are far more likely to be religious. Religious people give more money than not religious people do religious liberals give as much money as do religious conservatives. They're just Far fewer of them. So the image that a lot of people in the left hand Republicans as greedy on the concerned about wealth. Turns out to be a lie. But it is widely believed Another lie widely believed. I did, uh, Video that's now get about 1.3 million views. It is about Denzel Washington and how he's the only Hollywood A Lister, who's telling the truth about race. I'd like to read the comments. Somebody named Sandi Golden Gol, d N wrote rubbish. Black people live in underfunded neighborhoods. I don't know what an underfunded neighborhood means. I have no idea what that means. But whatever. Rubbish black people live and underfunded neighborhoods and schools that are underfunded. End of quote. Do you know, the Brookings Institution? It is a left wing think tank. Clearly the most prominent left wing think tank in the country, very respected. And in 2017 may 25 my dad's birthday..

"Known as a reliably Republican state. It hasn't voted for a Democratic candidate for president since Bill Clinton won back in 1996. But the face of Arizona politics is changing numbers. And Ludlow is covering the Arizona race for us from Phoenix. So had great to have you with us. Give us a sense of how different Arizona is in 2020 from what it was in 2016. I'm sorry. I'm not hearing it. I think that we lost him another technical difficulties, not just with Congressman Congressman Washington Schultz but also with Ed Ludlow, as I say he's in Phoenix because Arizona is a key state in this race, not only for the presidential race, but also for that Senate race where we have more. Kelly, the former astronaut going up against a former aviation, the first combat pilot, actually. Who's the current as senator from Arizona. So we're out in Arizona figure what's going on at the same time, as I was suggesting to add. There's been a self fundamental change between Maricopa County, which is by far the largest county in the state. It is where Phoenix is located on Maricopa County has changed fundamentally in who lives there, the demographics of who lives there both the age as well as the race and ethnicity and also apparently in their their orientation to certain issues, such as, for example, immigration what had once Been decidedly conservative. Now it seems to be much more purple, though. Depending on who you talk to a Democrat or Republican state of Arizona. They'll say it tends toward the red aura tends toward the blue. It will be a key race. If for Vice President Biden is to hope to take over the presidency, obviously, the route for him this time is to make sure he holds all the states that had gone for Hillary Rodham Clinton last time, plus, add certain And in most books, Arizona is one of the key states that he wants to add. Plus, of course, turn around Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania if at all possible if he's going to hope to get to the 270 electoral votes, which are essential if he's going to become the next president of United States at the same time, President Trump is certainly fighting hard for Arizona as he is for Nevada as well. The adjoining state of Nevada, which has gone Democrat in recent years, and yet President Trump has some hopes he thinks of actually turning that back to red and winning Nevada. Well, it's part of the jigsaw across the entire country. And now I'm told we do have ahead, Ludlow. I'm glad it's worth the effort. And I'm sorry. I've been vamping and not doing nearly straight jobs. You have what I asked actually with. How is Arizona different today than it was four years ago? Yeah, an issue of demographics. You know, Democrats has certainly hoping that more educated electorate a high proportion of Latino voters. A growing Asian population and influx of Californians and tech workers will be in their favor because they're inclined to vote on Maura liberal issues and vote for Democrats that said the Republicans and President Trump have really focused on the economic message here specifically tied to Cove. It And how they were able to reopen the economy in June and July. And if you talk to small business owners, they talked favorably of Trump and the Republicans because they are perhaps tourism, focus businesses or leisure industry focus businesses, and they were pleased at the pace of reopening. Beyond that. The central issue is, of course, Kobe and healthcare. We crossed 6000 deaths in the state this morning close to.

cycle according to his campaign Dr John Curtis online columnist dot com with us John I still really don't see a formidable candidate against president trump right now I might be wrong I don't see it to you no I think you're right about that Georgia arts centers as time goes on I think you can you ask Michael Morris and come out last week it was not known to be a great big round of trump I mean you don't say basically that thank you talk to trample would win the election but but but but here's what we do now right now by Bernie Sanders and the twenty sixteen election you were sabotaged by the Democratic National Committee we know that because we saw the email server every Washington Schultz and he found out that literally walked earning up the nomination against Hillary Clinton he's come back that you know heart attack and all and you've got a huge apologies to sure does not make any mistake about this he's not telling us money George from political action committee please get in the front rank and file Americans no he's got he's getting them from ordinary people donating about eighteen dollars on average much right that means that one million nine hundred and sixteen thousand six hundred and sixty six donors donated in this campaign you can't say that about any other candidates you know butchered inviting and the roster number using political action committees we're under citizens United they have unlimited donation capability so I mean you're looking at somebody who is a formidable force and part of the reason for that is that here's here's a really attracting youth voters by the horde their fallen Bernie like the pied Piper when you're promised include college tuition to retire student got any healthcare for all that's a very powerful message to a lot of people and I'm not sure the prevailing wisdom that somehow art you know he wouldn't be more competitive against trump is true I think that's from the Democratic National Committee Bernie is too old and he doesn't have you know what it takes to two radical into left wing I think on the contrary I think when you look at the amount of interest in his candidacy it continues to grow and this dollar amount certainly the confirmation of that I thank you is it going to be a formidable force and will have as good a shot as any of them to make the final nomination we're gonna watch this unfold John thanks very much John Curtis online columnist dot com wall street's major indexes began the new year at record levels as fresh stimulus from Beijing to prop up its slowing economy added to the optimism fueled by easing trade tensions an improving global outlook a spokesperson mark Zuckerberg's personal wealth rose by a mind boggling twenty seven point three billion dollars in two thousand nineteen the giant leap comes despite hostility from both the users and lawmakers over the social media firms integrity and handling of that user data let's check in with our expert on the internet Lauren Weinstein and lord before we get going our condolences on the passing of your father my friend the checker board how do you get all this money twenty seven point three billion in two thousand nineteen is you can wait rose by that yeah well of course it's it's mostly part the stock you know his his wealth is is this is almost totally in and start over time you know he's he's pulling large amounts of money out of that but I think that makes him though the the fifth largest for the wealthiest personal world she's just remarkable what I read so what he's definitely up there in that pantheon of the of the super elite that control most of the wealth certainly in the US and and then then when you have that much money especially in a stock like this it can weather a lot of short term then of the doubt downturns of death in the in the market and long term to yeah the thing is you know Facebook is still even though in the United States is is is you know not and it's been a real big growth cycle we it is still expanding very comfortably and then the rest of the world and and we're talking about parts of the world where people predominantly use cell phones for there only internet access that's their entire view of the world as many people for whom Facebook is the entire internet there are people who don't even realize that there is an internet beyond what the Facebook systems provide so when you're in that kind of environment you can see you know even if the individual amounts of money involved from any individual person clicking on any particular at a relatively small you're talking about very very large user popup populations you're talking about a man who holds an enormous amount of stock that I thought the say you know the the heroes wife of donated of very large amounts of This is a disgrace to the legal profession is at not where's the American Bar Association. Well, the fact that the guys, you know, gone everything that he could in his power not to be a lawyer, right? Video audio taping. Right. He's he's he's a crook. He is he's a criminal. He's taping his clients, including the president of the United States. What are you going to do with that other than blackmail? Somebody. And meanwhile, the Democrats you gotta listen to this this idiot, chairman of this committee, forget his name already, and that's the Cummings. Yes. At the end. You know, we're here. We're defending democracy. No, you're not destroying the country. You're not fooling anybody. And the idea that they tell Michael go ahead and testify second further violate attorney client privilege, none of them whatever allow their private attorneys to talk to anybody about anything. Michael cohen. I gotta laugh. He's calling Donald Trump will con- when it's so interesting that Michael count himself. He's the professional con man for sure he's been caught in lies. He's done crimes unrelated to anything with President Trump and his criminal and lying activities, Mark if you add them all up he should really be put away for like over a hundred and twenty years. I find it interesting. I wonder who gave him this cushioning deal to only serve three years. I wonder why. And we know why because they want him to smear. How come how come? He doesn't get the same kind of sentencing that the prosecutors are pushing on Manfred you sound believable. Let me tell you. He all these crimes with the IRS. And with the taxation he should have got over one hundred and twenty years, Mark. And they're only like saying three years because they want him to sing the songs that they want him to. Singh. He's lying through his teeth. Absolutely. And, you know, something he himself said there's no proof of collusion. And that's what was all about. It's like so ridiculous. And you know, what I really hope that this backfires on. They're not Democrats. I call them demon Kratz their demonic. Really, I call them left wing radical kooks, but thank you for your call. I appreciate it. Pau quickly Sioux Falls, South Dakota, K L, O, our great affiliate go. Good evening, Mark. It's a pleasure honor to talk to you. Thank you. Paul. "Stuff to give away tonight. The music strong concert to benefit the borderline victims. Have those tickets I have Santana Doobie brothers. I also have our live show, and I'll give you a chance to win tickets to all of those lots to talk about tonight. I wanted to start out, however with politics, and we've been getting a lot of calls from folks and getting a lot of emails about people saying what what about a third party candidate would love to at least consider that cannot happen. And now, you have Mr Schulz formerly of Starbucks out there saying I'm going to run as an independent have Democrats going out of their minds saying, it's just are you are you out of your mind? You got Mr Perez the DNC saying, please if you're considering running give us a look give us a look you may like some of the things we're doing instead. And he's saying no, don't like the things you're doing kind of a little bit unrealistic. So to speak with Dan Schnur, professor at US's Annenberg school of communications, founder of the UCLA times poll and welcome to the show, Dan. How are you? Forever me. Appreciate it. You happy new year rim talk yet this year. But I'm sure we'll be talking a lot. So you wrote a piece, and I it's it's interesting because you talk about the fact that most of us in habit of space between the forty yard lines and the Republican party has gone further. Right. We see that the Democratic Party is going further left. And then you have all these guys kind of sticking their toe in the water, a wealthy guys, Bloomberg Scholz, and what's happening. Now is he's taking shots at the Democrats on already kind of hurting themselves Bloomberg in a way, but there is more of a thirst for a third party candidate. And you have more and more people registering as no party preference. Growing. What's? So what's going to happen? Is that a possibility a realistic possibility? I think it's it's listed policy that then it's been in many many years. There's an old saying in politics. There's no such thing as a raging moderate. Rising that the real energy in both parties comes from the party's basis, conservative Republicans and Liberal Democrats. What what Chilton is advisors are saying is that as the two parties smooth move further and further from the center, there are more voters who might be willing to look for more. Centrist alternative jealous. For Schultz is is twofold one party system is set up specifically to deny an opportunity for third alternative. We'll talk more about that in a minute. If you like more media challenge is you have a Democratic Party. That is so concerned consumed with anger and animosity toward Trump. Do you wear any attention to complicate their goal of defeating Trump next November? And they're worried that by splitting the by splitting the anti Trump vote that Schultz makes it a lot harder for a democrat to get elected. The president Schultz himself leaves it. He'll pull roughly equal support from the two parties little bit truly to know what the deaths the case or not. So I'm not that brilliant. I'm not Mensa and you've got like Schultz who run big corporations and and did it on his own. I mean, this guy came from poverty, you got Bloomberg. Pretty smart guys. Why would they know this? Why wouldn't show get this already that if he throws his hat into the ring that he's he's going to have then Tayside problems from the Democratic Party? Oh, my guess is. He knows that not only because he's very smart. But as news report showed that he's already he's surrounding himself with smart people from both parties to help campaign, and I'd be really really surprised if they didn't tell him if you do this, you're gonna make some really fierce enemies. And I think what what seems to have determined is that he doesn't Stoltz who is very very strong. From critic doesn't believe a democratic candidate can be Trump as particularly concerned more left leaning democratic nominee and Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders would elect Trump is a school of thought among political observers that Trump cannot in reelection. But the Democrats can still find a way to lose. That's what has Schultz concerned, and he wants to offer somewhat of a protection against the Democratic Party the fields with candidate that can't defeat Trump for you want. You know, you watch what's going on? And you think? These politicians are smart, and I know that with the wall one in St. incident, and we had the government shutdown and then reopened without a deal for the wall. And what you hear is you see Pelosi and Schumer smiling like we won and the the missed opportunity here is how about the public you get in all of these negotiations that he over here. You're you're forgetting about us nobody and by the way, Trump won in partly because of people felt that they were not included in the power structure. They they feel that they were out of power and elites were running the government making decisions here and globally. So we're upset we want. We want some power, and obviously there's anger because of that you would think people would be more aware and more sensitive to how to play the game. Well. He wouldn't you? But I suspect if q play a game any game long enough, it's awfully difficult to learn new rules, man. It's shocking. Winning a game in Washington on either side over the years means that maybe you're paying a little bit less attention to the people outside of the beltway than you used to and endemic in both parties, you made a great point amended, though, what Trump did brilliantly in two thousand sixteen and what's Sanders. Tried to do for the Democrats is to is rally did channel all that voter frustration backout Washington Schultz at least. That structurally is trying to do the same thing. We don't know enough about him yet to know whether you can carry that message in as compelling away is prompted for his supporters and his Sanders did. Chris what he's already doing easy mentioning things like Casio Cortes with some of the things she sang, which are not realistic. Some of the things that others just saying not realistic. And then you have Democrats pushing back so they're already there. The guns are fired at each other and from Republican Mogollon, please keep out there. Do do shows do more books keep talking because you're a great spokesman for knocking down all the the Progressive Party of the Democratic Party. You're doing the workforce. Yeah. Trump's first response to the prospect of Schultz candidacy was coming in. Exactly, I suspect. As does goes, he's going to become more and more welcoming. And even if Schultz has equally critical things to say about Trump is he has told casual Cortes and some of the more Liberal Democrats. I guess is Trump is smart enough to know that encouraging Schultz rather than discouraging is at least potentially in his long term interest. But again, like we said earlier she'll believes that he can draw just as many disaffected Republicans one-third of Republican registered voters say that they would be open to another nominee. Then Trump that doesn't mean that they would vote for a third party candidate. But with Schultz in is advisors. Believe is you can pull off disaffected voters from both parties. I'm not saying it can't be done. Peter. It just hasn't been done. But it just hasn't been done in over a century talking to Dan Schnur, professor US's Annenberg school of communications and founder of the L A times poll. So let me ask you about that. Polling. So when when people say they're open to that, you know in advertising, I did a lot of polling and focus groups, and you find out not only have to be very careful in how you write a question because there's experimental bias, and you can lead somebody to answer that you subliminally want or maybe not even subliminally one. So when you're looking at polling, and we see the polling that was so off in the last major election the presidential election. How do we know that the polling? I mean, you just cited polling there. How do we know that the people say they're open people say they'll buy chocolate surrounded by whatever. And then they don't let me because they don't know the other choices they have. That's a question. It's a snapshot in time and all of a sudden other things come into play and your question is irrelevant. Well, I think I think you're is really important point about polling there number one. We don't know what you know, because you're smart enough to know when a lot of most of your listeners are too is. You don't look at polls run numbers. You don't see who's got fifty two and he's got forty eight who's at fifty five. Got forty five. What you do you watch polls over time to watch the trends to watch the trajectories and a candidate parking issues gaining support. You might not know from the poll exactly how much support it has. But you wanna see a trend line going upward? I'm rather than going downward right now Trump's trendline among Republicans has gone slightly downward. But decades to your second point, this is a snapshot it is January of two thousand nineteen there are ninety one weeks left in the president. No kidding. Discouraging in all sorts of. Hey, wait a minute. Think about that for one second ninety one weeks really does get too depressed. But what? But the the last few government shutdowns have had a really strong short term impact on the poll numbers. But those opinions haven't lasted over longer periods of time. So those voters who are strength from Trump because of the shutdown have long since forgotten. The question is whether Howard Schultz someone else can tell someone who might have peeled off. Now, if there's another reason for them to peel off again in twenty one months. Well, I mean, you sort of mouthful the other thing I wonder about because you're in the pulling business too. So the millennials came out and their rockstar was Bernie Sanders and he's filling up stadiums. And he's rocking them. And they're they're excited and they're engaged and they find out their own party was behind the scenes playing them for fools. You know, they had it all in for Hillary mortars. Does that do what are you? What are your polling show you as far as those voters those potential voters coming back? Now, how many were poisoned by that or have they gotten over that at this point depending on who the next candidate is well, the biggest shifts in the Democratic Party since twenty sixteen is how far left word eight has moved. Bernie Sanders was an ideological outlier when he ran against Hillary Clinton when he talked about Medicare for all when he talked about government college when he talked about all sorts of web criminal Justice changes those positions are now mainstream in the democratic presidential primary in common. Harrison, Elizabeth Warren in any number of candidates have. Taken that position. So resentment toward the party hierarchy, not aside, the big shifts there is the Democratic Party is following Bernie Sanders lead in to me of past. And the prediction I will make to you is dirty Sanders is gonna feel become somewhat frustrated over the next several months wondering why the Democrats who were so excited about three years ago have turned to somebody who's even more left leaning. Well, I think you're right. But, but as we get near the election, doesn't always isn't it always been in the past that you have to go toward the center to win. Generally speaking, that's been the case that said Donald Trump in twenty fifteen did not he defeated he determined correctly that if he could get his strongest supporters sufficiently motivated, he would not need to compromise over Dan is that is that theory done shot SIA later. I'd say it's it's not shot that you didn't necessarily have to follow it. Howard Schultz is arguing just the opposite. That if you wanna win you do need the center, the challenge for salsas this, and we talked about this a little bit earlier, the two political major political parties Republicans and Democrats aren't good at a lot of things, but they're really good at protecting their do Ali and women third party or independent candidate shows up with an that they having considered they take it. Look back at Ross Perot way back in nineteen Ninety-two. He ran on deficit reduction. Bill Clinton got elected sort of talking about reducing the deficit. Newt Gingrich publicans to control of congress. You started talking about reducing the deficit by nineteen Ninety-six when Perot ran again, nobody cared because she'd been stolen from him the question, we're going to have to watch for coming back to Howard Schultz is in addition to talking more broadly about an alternative what's his issue that neither Trump for the Democrats are talking about bring voters into a very smart. What it what is that thing, by the way? I don't trust them of the economy if he can't do coffee for under five fifty. I'm really concerned, aren't you? That's a huge price. Oh, camel Harris out. Now, she she threw her hat in the ring early. I guess to get the upfront money before they're seven hundred twenty other candidates in the ring, but she's very vulnerable as far as being a prosecutor. And I think you had pointed out also that she had a colleague Larry Wallis who were taxpayers paid four hundred thousand dollars in harassment and retaliation settlement, and she hasn't addressed in light of the metoo movement where she's making it a thing or even bringing it up in a big way. Well, this is going to be a real challenge for heiress that even though California's the largest state in the country when it comes to media coverage and scrutiny we're still the minor leagues. And last December last month when it was announced when it was reported that one of Harris's top advisors had become embroiled in the sexual misconduct controversy. She she answered the question, we're fairly brusquely not in much depth. Certain children kind sympathy for the victim in her own office that she had for any number of other victims of sexual misconduct over the months and over the years and the point that I've tried to make his whether you happen to be a supporter of Harris or not when you get up to the major leagues. The pictures come in faster. And in she's going to need. She's look she excellent first week. That's about as good a first week is the presidential candidates. You could hope for..

"It not only had the same markings more the same markings with the same kinds of stamps, and the same kind of labeled we think this may actually be a fifteen baggage that was sent from pipe bomb. Suspect Cesar psych who was in court yesterday on fourteen counts of this. Now, you may have to see those extended a little bit. If there are more pipe bomb packages to come. Hey, Michael, good morning charity here, we know that from authorities. Anyway, that had a list of more than one hundred targets. Do we know how he constructed this list? No, that's that's sort of in question at this point in the investigation is still continuing about what we do know is that they found that in his van along with a soldering equipment stamps on below paper a printer inside the van which was used according to investigators to print the labels that were used on these packages and the powder that was used to put all these together. And then they found the list of the one hundred potential targets. So we don't know anything more about that list. Maybe if there were check marks on it or things that were circled indicating people that had already had packages sent or ones that we're going to be sent. We don't have any of those details, and of course, as you can imagine. Now, these lawyer up Caesar sciatic not really coming forward with any of that information all east told investigators at this point when he was arrested was there might be more packages to come. So is this possibly a second wave of packages first bunch that were mailed out and then received last week, and then this is part of another bunch that would be mailed out. Or is this something that was just a late in the mail getting to Atlanta, maybe even having had the Washington Schultz label there for return to center, maybe it was. I'm back, and then re re-sent together, we don't know that information as of yet. And it's for the contents of the package they sent that off to Quantico for investigation. But again, the FBI does believe that this is another package from say do we know about any of the potential recipients that have been notified on this list of one hundred? Pretty secret. At this point. They've kept quiet until they can go through and advise each of those remaining hundred people on the list to keep an eye out for packages. I I don't know that we're ever going to hear who was on that list that that didn't get one yet. But they wanna make sure that they get through. And they give those people a heads up in wanting to kind of add to this concept of are there, any copycat packages that are going to be created and sent off to some of those people, right? And what charges are were brought against the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter interesting too. Because if you just look at both of these guys who were in court yesterday face charges, you hadn't say a guy who was crying, even before the charges against him seemingly emotional from the very get go walking into court what you saw in regards to Robert Bowers yesterday who was charged with twenty nine felony counts, including eleven counts of using a firearm to commit murder, eleven counts of obstruction of the exercise of religious beliefs resulting in debt, that's the the hate crime portion of that. And then the state charges eleven of those plus all of this could come with that penalty. He was sat there stone cold? Stonefaced no reaction whatsoever. Virtually emotionless in the courtroom as the charges were being read against him answering questions very quickly, very quietly and asking for lawyers from the state and unbelievable, Michael..

We've been heading down a path people are very angry. They feel very frustrated. Why do you think? Well, do you think politicians themselves have had a part in what about the media themselves? And by the President Trump is going to speak live, very soon, and we will carry that live as he speaks as well when it happens four one five eighty eighty eight ten Muriel in San Rafael Murio, you're on Keijo ten with Ethan Bearman. And so all these groups are your student in college. And you don't like how you feel in the class, you go have a riot. You're feeling like you don't like Donald Trump. So you run a mob or you throw bricks through Congressmen's offices where you shoot congressman or everybody. It seems like we're impounding feelings in different identity groups, and I think the politicians are still can't I'm a libertarian. I not invested in eating or side. I see the politicians on both sides stroking this, and I see the media stroking it, and I think that until we start making people think that their feelings don't give them permission to act out aggressively. Then it's not gonna change. It seems like it's getting worse. Well, I appreciate the you're hearing your thoughts on that Mariel. A I've been very consistent again in saying that there is no place for violence. I don't care which side you're on when the Trump supporter was attacked in San Jose. I had him on the air. I thought that was totally wrong. We don't attack people because we disagree with them that that's not only childish, it's counterproductive. We do not wanna live in a society where we are at a place where we just go. I don't like you therefore, I should be able to beat you up. We're going to be back. You know, it's going to be the early part of the dark ages where we just swatter those we disagree. I'm not a path through on and go down. We also don't need a president celebrating Representative jet. Greg GM Forte's seventeen attack in a reported by saying that quote any guy who can do a body slam. He's my type that's the top. I could not agree more with really a number of the what you just said. And some of your previous caller, this is we are getting back to pre civil war. And we have a president who has blood on his hands. If people do not think that could Shoghi was murdered because of our president fanning the fires and literally being so critical of the media. It's different when you're in a third world country. I have traveled in twenty two different countries. I traveled through the Middle East. I never felt in danger when I was in the Middle East. And this is so frustrating for me because there are so many people they've never traveled abroad. They are he he makes everybody feel like people from the Middle East or endanger. I'm horrified for the wonderful residents. The people who are contributing in the bay area that are from the Middle East, and and Mexico. This is just outrageous. And I have a degree in journalism. I remember watching the movie absence of malice. This is so offensive to me. There will be more journalists around the world and third world countries that are going to be imprisoned killed Putin has silent killed or had imprisoned over two hundred journalists, and we have a president who is celebrating forte. I if I correct me if I'm not pronouncing it correctly and doing a body slam. He is he is is flaming nationalism and and truly Nazism. I mean, we have a president who is a white supremacy or at least a puppet of that is an ended. This is personal. I feel like people who are supporting Donald Trump because they're getting a tax write off or because. Corperation? It's getting a tax write this is not okay. We should be thinking about long-term what we're doing our environment. What we're doing to the idea that we have a president who's failing to represent the very essence of freedom of speech and freedom of the press. He is vilifying journalists, and it, and I agree with you. It needs to stop. We need this rhetoric on both sides need to stop at quite frankly, I'm an independent, I just registered as a democrat. I ain't gonna vote a straight democratic ticket because I am absolutely appalled. There is no Republican party. It is a coke. It's a Donald Trump cult. They have been brainwashed. And sadly, I have a mother I have a sister. I have a college roommate, and I can't even have a conversation with them now because they are brainwashed. And it needs to stop. And I don't mean to be so emotional about it, but people are going to die because of. What our president is blaming. And it is outrageous. And these people what are you like I wasn't a big plant at fan of Hillary. I voted for Gary Johnson. I have three kids. We all voted for Kerry Johnson because we have that luxury to vote our conscience, California. Now cat, I apologize. But we're we're out of time. And I really appreciate your call. And I'm gonna keep taking your calls on this topic. Because it is a scary day to your point cat. It is a scary day. So thank you so much for calling in and I'll take your call. So hang on the line.
