The Case for Ending The Fed With Steve Bannon

"Joining us right now is Steve Bannon. Steve had a very big weekend at cpac Steve. Welcome to the program. I want to play a piece of tape at you at cpac and we'll go from there. Let's play cut ten. We don't need to audit the fed. We need to end the Federal Reserve. The federal reserve has you surf as you surf has usurped its power and the power of the American people in our elective representatives. And no, they do not have the consent of the governor. We will not comply. We will not submit. And it must be ended. Steve, that sounds like Ron Paul, floors yours. Exactly. I hope to take it, you know, he was a great inspiration, but we hope to take it one step up. Ron Paul, who had his entire presidential campaign around about money and currency, you know, is a great warrior and a brave man. I'm not a libertarian. But I understand that the administrative state and particularly the global apparatus is funded by the central banks. And it's outrageous that the evidence today is so much even more overwhelming than when Ron Paul laid it out for us. From 2008 to right now, Charlie, you know, what the $23 trillion they've printed, the 9 and a half trade they put on the balance sheet of the Federal Reserve is just increased the power and concentration of wealth in our nation. 0.5% of the American population own more assets and wealth than the bottom 90%. This is exactly what the framers fought a revolution to avoid. They wanted to get away from the landed aristocracy in Great Britain and the mercantile class in Great Britain. And we are back to this oligarchy. What we have is a combination of state capitalism and authoritarian government

How Did 'Black Ops' Author Enrique Prado Get the Nickname 'Dragon'?

"Is it true? I was reading the reviews of your book on Amazon, and I need to know, is your nickname really dragon? Yes, it is. That I was actually more my handle. By the way, Steve was frog. Well, of course he's frog. He's a CEO, and they're all frogs. Yeah, but mine has been dragon since the very beginning. Is that was that because of your temper, I need to know why you call sign dragon Rick. Well, if you ask my wife, she would say is my temper. But I think it was mostly I've been in the martial arts since I was a young kid. And I guess they associated that the dragon with a martial arts kind of stuff. I actually don't know where it even started, but it started fairly early on.

The Single Most Important Lesson Enrique 'Ric' Prado Learned

"Single most important thing in my life, as far as lessons go. What is my father? My father had a 7th grade education, but he was extremely smart, incredible craftsman, and he had a faith that is uncomfortable with any of us. And imagine I am an only child. I find that all the best people are. I happen to be an only child as well. Well, yeah, but the point here is that my dad was willing to put me on an airplane. To a country that he had never been to. At what age, how old were you, Rick? I was ten years old when I got on that plane. And what, what year is this? This is 1962, April of 1960. This is one of the Peter Pan flights. That is correct. I am a Peter Pan. So a country your father's never been to before. So why does he put you on that plane Rick? Freedom. My dad knew he had never read Marx or Lenin, but he had definitely had the heart of a lion and he knew what freedom was. He knew what we needed to fight for it. And of course, that fight was one already to the enemy. But that decision opened up my eyes to the value and the sacrifices made for freedom.

Enrique Prado Grades the U.S. on International Security Performance

"We don't spend requisite amounts of time on understanding the strategy and the worldview of things like the Iranian Republican guard or how the Chinese military thinks. So in terms of steel on target, a plus in terms of getting inside the mind of our enemy not so hot. Could you give us your grades for how we are as an international national security performer? Well, you hit it on the spot when it comes to the kinetic aspect of our business. We are second to none. And when I say that, I also include our special operations forces because again, they've been fighting the G watt for over 20 years, which people tend to forget. I think that what you are describing most likely on the knowledge base on our enemies culture. It's not that we don't understand it, is that our leaders do not listen to it. I know the analysts, the quality of the analysts, we have in the agency, are scary smart. A guy's like Mike scheuer, who was the one that really discovered who'd been a lot of was and what he was up to and he was right until he was proven right. So an unfortunately, when you have organizations like the agency or even the FBI, not being run by people who are internal, political appointees, in my opinion, one of the problems we have is those political appointees that we have at the head of our agency are people that owe their allegiance to whoever put them there. And they will always look through the optic of that politics and you can not do operations, especially special operations through the optic of politics. So I will defend my analyst to the end. I think that incredibly well rounded and in depth, but the flow up is not always what it should be.

'Black Ops' Author Enrique Prado Discusses His Fascinating Background

"A legend in the national security community. Of course I heard of him, but we are delighted to have Enrique Rick Prado on one on one here on America first. Welcome, mister Prado. Thank you very much, doctor. Thank you for having me on. And Steve may be exaggerating a little bit because he happens to be my best friend, so. That's all right. We trust seals. A little bit of embellishment is fine, but anybody who runs the butt course about course is a serious individual. So you have a fascinating background. We'll talk about how you came to America. You've got a book out called black ops, everybody has to check out this book black ops, the life of a CIA shadow warrior, former head of CTC. That's kind of terrorism, the cantors and center at the CIA. But first, just for those who aren't familiar who haven't read your book, will you tell us a little bit about your national security career in the shadows? Yes, sir, I did 24 years at CIA. I started out as a paramilitary officer. I'm a former pair of rescuing. So I came in through the paramilitary side, special activities division, which is for lack of a better word is the special operations forces for CIA. The body of this draft that is from what is now called soko. I have 6 overseas tours. I've been a chief of station. I have been a deputy chief of station twice. I am a plank owner of the bin Laden task force, which I started with Mike shoyu in 1996, January of 1996. And when 9 11 happened, I was chief of operations of the counter terrorist center. Was my boss. After those 24 years, I spent another 9 years doing exactly the same thing mostly for the military side as an SME, but actually doing the work and I just not teaching, but actually operating with the team.

Ari Fleischer: If Credibility Was Their Business, the Media Would Be Different

"You know I know we have had you on before and we've kind of touched on this But why do they not care I mean it is still a business You do have to get clicks and some still sell traditional newspapers It's still a business It's not a charity despite the government's efforts to try to make it a government entity Don't they see that people just don't trust them I mean they have to see the polls you and I see where less than 10% of Republicans take these people seriously anymore They've got to understand that credibility is their business and it's just getting flushed down the toilet If credibility was their business the media would be very different The activism unfortunately has become their business Look when I stood at that podium and you were a Secret Service agent it was a different world Back then the media was still liberal We all knew that but they would at least tell you their job was to be objective and be fair Most mainstream media have now thrown that out the window They enjoy being activists They enjoy being retweeted retweeted by a Hollywood star They enjoy the number of followers they have They want to get a contract with MSNBC or CNN Why else would CNN allow its anchors It's reporters to go on the air and just launch opinion after opinion Because journalism is no longer about telling the people what's going on it's become activists for a cause And that cause became figuring out fixing fixing what the American people did in 2016 when they chose Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton the press said that Trump was a threat to the republic and they needed to save the republic to hell with objective journalism And they became activists and I have so many chapters and some of the examples in my book especially at The New York Times where this younger class younger generation of social warriors have taken over newsrooms older reporters really don't know what to do with this But younger reporters don't even believe in objectivity and talent two sides of a story anymore

Sebastian Welcomes Jack Carr, Author of 'the Terminal List'

"You are probably enjoying an Internet phenomenon that is terminal list with Chris Pratt. I watched all of it last night as my wife fell asleep. I caught the last two episodes as well. I said, I gotta see this before my Friday guest arrived. Why? Because it's the man who wrote it, none other than U.S. Navy seal lieutenant commander Jack Kyle. Welcome to America first. Thank you so much for having me on. It's great to talk to you. All right, we're going to talk about the genesis of the book, the genesis of the TV show Chris peratt's involvement. But first things first, I got to get straight to it as a gun guy as a guy who likes edged weapons. Talk to me about why hatchets talk to me about I can see it on the wall back there. Is this the rediscovery of a primal weapon? What does it mean to you and to the guys on the teams? That's exactly what happened to have one right here. Nicely. Yeah, Winkler say tomahawk right here. That's the one from the show and from the books. But when I was creating the character, I wanted something kind of like the 21st century Rambo knife, those of us who grew up in the 80s and of course, remember that being a very important element of that series. And I thought, what is the weapon that I can associate with this character that also tells a story about him? Tells us that he is a student of warfare, but also applies it in a modern context. So I thought that tomahawk, we go back, of course, well, really to the beginning of time, but in America, to Rogers rangers and those mentioned hatchets, of course, I've been fascinated with hashes and Ed's web edge weapons since I was a little kid and also a lot of people carried them downrange in Iraq and Afghanistan. So I thought this was a weapon that I can associate with this character that really tells a story about him.

The Left's Latest Gun Control Efforts With Rep. Louie Gohmert

"This man right now, rep Louis gohmert. He's got half a million followers. I've retweeted the video that you've posted. It's about the Second Amendment. Really shocking footage coming out of Capitol Hill, not only do they want to take away our weapons congressmen. The Democrats have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to guns, do they? They really don't. And part of the legislation that they mentioned rimfire ammunition and I ask you guys even know what rem fire is. And they looked around and one of the staff handed them a note. Yeah, I think I know what it is. Well, anyway, they don't, and they are wrong about so many things. And you would think if you're going to be trying to take away a constitutional right that you would need to be right about what little you were trying to get right. But it is a dangerous situation and Sebastian, I know you, I know your knowledge of the world. I know how well versed you are in other nations rises and falls. And what we're looking at here that want to take away guns, they haven't been able to repeal the second amendment. So they came up with one way they could do that. And that is to make gun manufacturers liable for any criminal act with a gun. And I know that would put every gun manufacturer out of business.

Former WH Physician Ronny Jackson Describes the Stress of the Big Job

"Please give us your experience years and years in The White House serving multiple presidents as their physician. Let's stay on this issue for a second. You know, I'm not complaining, but I was in the west wing at 7 a.m., sometimes we were there till 8, 9 at night. It was a long job for just me, a deputy assistant. But for a president of any party, how stressful a job is this, from a medical point of view. It's incredibly stressful, both physically and mentally. And you have to be able to multitask like nobody's business. I mean, you know this. He'll drop down the elevator in the morning or be walking back from the oval in the evenings and the entire day that he's over in the oval in the west wing. He's got multiple people coming at him with different issues, you know, domestic issues. You know, foreign affairs issues just, you know, you have to be able to manage all that stuff. You have to be able to take that in and make decisions. And it's very, very stressful. And it's very, very fatiguing, and you're right. He had more energy than I had. We'd go on overseas trips sometimes and would fly for 13 hours on Air Force One, end up in Southeast Asia. We'd leave Andrews Air Force Base here in D.C. at 9 o'clock in the morning. We'd get there and it'd be 9 o'clock in the morning again and we'd have a 14 hour day ahead of us and we had to get off the plane and work the Secret Service detail the medical folks, the military aid and the president and we'd do this all day and it was the most fatiguing thing you can imagine. And at the end of the day, the one person that had the most energy was Donald Trump and if somebody wanted to talk to him and there were people in the lobby waiting they wanted to say hi to him, everybody else was thinking about nothing but getting in the bed. He would have the energy to go downstairs and just and talk to people like he had just woke up. So the man's got incredible energy, incredible endurance, and it's a complete opposite of what we have in The White House right now.

Rep. Ronny Jackson: Joe Biden Should Take the Test!

"When they challenged president Trump that he's too old and he's not up to it? Well, he took the test. Let's play the car. I said to the Doctor Who was doctor Ronnie Jackson. I said, is there some kind of a test? An acuity test. And he said there actually is, and he named it, whatever it might be. And it was 30 or 35 questions. The first questions are very easy. The last questions are much more difficult. Like a memory question. It's like you'll go person, woman, man the president walked us through it in that interview with Mark Siegel, he discussed it from the podium. And then afterwards, he was given a school. What was that score? That's awesome man himself. Presidential White House position rear admiral Ronnie Jackson. Now congressman Jackson from Texas is 13 district. Remind our millions of listeners, congressmen, admiral. How did our old boss do on that test? Sebastian, he did great. I can barely hear you though. There's another fate in my ear right now, but I think you're asking me how the president did on the test. Yes. He did extremely well. I mean, he passed with blind colors. And I'm pretty convinced that our current president would have no opportunity whatsoever to get anywhere close to that. So we've got a big issue right now, but president Trump set the standard. He established the precedent and I think that that's something that everyone should do now. And Joe Biden should submit to the test as well. All right, so

Corporations Have Been Coopted by Woke Social Justice Influencers

"I grew up in America where business was on team right. Where business was team America, they were team free markets, and we were always kind of fighting the opponents of business. You remember that. It was the big companies would always kind of make fun of Al sharp than when he kind of came to go ask for money. Like, who is this guy, right? This is making stuff up. He's just screaming at it's been a total change. Largely because of college, we'll get into that. But corporations have now totally become co opted by the worst most woke social justice warrior influences you can imagine. I mean, how do we get to a place where all of a sudden these otherwise non political companies like Google are coming out and you type in can a man become pregnant in Google and the answer is yes. Where apple comes out and you can check it on your iPhone tonight where they have a pregnant man emoji. On your Apple iPhone. And you say, how on earth did this happen? Well, largely because of weakness and because the CEOs were on the latter end of their career, they just wanted the cash out. They wanted to get their bonuses and they didn't want to try to confront the HR demons, if you will, of these kind of social justice warrior activists that have been infiltrated their company. But I have another opinion though, which is, and this is very contrarian. So go with me really quickly on this. I think cheap money policies subsidized really bad social behavior. So when you print all this money out of thin air after you lock down society and everyone gets record corporate profits artificially, then really, really bad ideas are allowed to be entertained because the company is not in a place of crisis.

"Didn't get it done. They did not get to cowburn guy wanted to beginning and did they do the best. They could with the minimum. Yeah i think they did. Did they get experience along the way which was probably their number one party yes they did but another huge priority that was stated publicly by myers was a legit backup. Point guard didn't do that. She owes campell here and there but he's not that and so it's a disappointment. And so i think in look. The biggest edition was out of puerto junior. And there's no guarantee he's going to be out. I mean i know there. He looks healthy. Says he feels good but the type of back injury that he was ill with that stuff could flare up ongoing and it's bothering him for two years. Now yeah like. There is no guarantee that he'll be available for the majority of mexican. He's out the most most next season. How is this freezing. Look it's gonna look like a train wreck so given to be minus. I think that's fair. I was gonna say seed plus but if you wanna talk me into minus okay with that for all the reasons. i know. The names were sexy. No otto porter used to be basically a max guy. I know that bill has been a guy that orders fans have been aware of for very long time. Dodge thing kind of saves the offseason just from a feel-good perspective warriors. Fans can't hate this. That's part of why. But when you talk about okay did they go out and get a legit six man can count on every night and did you go out and get a legit backup point guard even on every night. I don't think that they did that. I think they actually kinda missed. Not just one spot but to so to recap. We gave the draft name. Honors trades aka trade of the and free. Agency of b minus. I think overall we're giving we're going to get be the offseason. That almost feels like too good. Or i feel like we should give it. A b minus. Okay may maybe we should just revise and give free agency plastic you relating to four when you make the rules give us. Yeah we're gonna give this. Plus i'm trying to make it make sense And then we'll We'll give the overall grade a. B. modest look. It was okay. Hey offseason but it didn't accomplish the top objectives which was to get a key difference maker and to make sure that you have a true six man that didn't happen so you cannot given a b. minus extra generous B minus bob. You detri- but it didn't work out. It's just to go. yeah. And i don't even know how much is on the front office. I just think that sometimes it's a circumstance like this is a very different. Nba now with the warriors are sort of learning how hard this stuff is like. This wasn't like everything together. Perfectly like it did for four..

"It looks thin yeah. I don't know that he's really gonna play heavy minutes to five i think he considers himself before wallet and Obviously a very static addition I'm not convinced he's going to be a huge difference maker anymore. You saw much more minutes than that. Your follow the heat closely. What did you think of his season last season. I mean look terrible. I mean he shot late. Thirty eight percent overall was a career. Low not just not the overall it would always a lot of his stuff comes to the rim has kind of his thing. That's very bad but the same time. It was a really quick turnaround after he got there. They went to the finals. In the bubble run they had like four minutes off before the next season started and he had to turn around and it just at thirty six thirty seven years old. It's just a lot. He infamously needs a while to get going and he never really got that a condensed season right. We know this was exhausting. I just thought last year was like the worst possible circumstance for andre dollars. So i think there's a case made they have a bounce back year. I also hope as it literally does not get worse for audrey would than it did last year as far as the numbers are concerned. So i think the bounceback here smaller role my news relying on him a lot because they lost air jones junior and some of these other guys on the wing and they really needed him to fill so minutes end because also struck out on their own region additions. They're asking too much. Lures are not going to ask as much and ask them to put probably play most nights not a ton of minutes. Not gonna be like six man andrea minutes. Not in my miami closing lineups. There are some nights. I'm sure he will have quote like he'll have the hot hand and it'll be in the lineup. Really fun time for orders fans like that'll be a great game story to right but It's not gonna be a night tonight thing But i think more than anything having golly doll in there. It is really good for guys. Like moses moody johnson coming and james wiseman and jordan pool and these guys who need to learn some of that warriors ethos that they were attracted to the words for in the first place and then christiana to a contract guy who's bounce around from the g. league to the. Nba has yet to kind of find his footing really in the nba. But i think he's an upgrade at that to a spot over nico manny and he's a little bit more proven he's a good passer I think he's probably a little better defensively even though he is really small he's only five eleven hundred seventy pounds. What did you think of their decision to basically prioritize shows overmanning because they could've brought many back on to mention got what i was told it was a significant offer from ver- tosa in italy. Which is the top team in italy And was basically just waiting on things to come together for the warriors and they basically told them. We're going with chosen. So he's a piece. I'm going to italy. The nice thing for the warriors though is that. He's a restricted free agent so they retain his nba rights and if he does really develop and come on..

"Idea had seen him hp specter extra sixty a more thoughtful laptop. The kelly oubre aham situation played out. He got a decent amount of money but a lot. It's only a two year deal. They wanted more years. I don't think the second year in the second year is not fully guaranteed and so there's a certain port where okay break got humble real quick and was like look. I'll take some money. We and he has like one of those weird. Nfl contracts now where it's like thirteen million dollars with thirty million dollar player. What twelve and a half million dollar player but only like two million of his or something. That's only partially guaranteed so the nfl contract. You can look at it more big picture and say you know. They paid eighty million dollars with luxury tax for this guy. He wasn't super helpful last season. Then you could potentially traded him at the deadline you didn't and then you're getting nothing for him you can. You can argue that the warriors mishandled him. I don't think they had a ton of options. I think that this is just a series of unfortunate events in some in some cases like they did the best. The kid in a crappy situation after cleveland down to get someone who could be helpful. They did what they had to do to get him. And then minor standings at the trade deadline they just really did not have any compelling offers at all it's less of a series of fortunate events. They could have moved him the deadline and they should have and we said that back then. It was just very obvious that there was not going to be a long term future for kelly oubre. The writing was very much on the wall. I don't know if it was a situation where you didn't want to put yourself in a situation where you had to pay somebody else. Long-term they might have been looking forward to getting off that filton million dollar salary and based on all of the financial stuff we were talking about. That certainly was a player like they could have been like. Hey what's not trade for anybody but then again. It just felt like a wasted opportunity. But i'll say this they were never planning on using that trade exception that they used to acquire in the first place. If clayton not gotten hurt they were just going to let that expire and so. I just don't think that. I think it was just very much. A convenience of marriage ownership didn't want to pay that kind of salary caps lottery said. Hey if you don't if you let them walk nothing you lose a salary cap slot and i think the warriors were just very okay with that happening and fans understandably. We're not okay with that happening. Right you've treated andre with allah patron saint of warriors hood right for this fifty million dollar exception in order to facilitate scientific that got the ngelo russell. Here that andrew wiggins gianluca mingo. But you traded andrew andre dollar and you're just gonna let this thing expire and now we don't have it all i could see as a warriors fan frustrated by that but that was always going to happen but so you look at who..

"You sort of like the face of the franchise for a little bit. Which was weird. We wrote a lot about him. And but part of our life happened. But you know i think it was just. It was time for it to be done. I think he's a guy who could be in the nba for awhile. I just don't think that it was the right fit for the warriors long-term and utah. They've done a lot of good work with tween ford's like pascal right like they have taught a lot of guys like password how to shoot through. So if you can't do it then. I don't really know what its future is but i think it's as good of a landing spot as any paskal And then obviously. Reuniting without mitchell is nice their childhood friends so as far as like how you grade. That actually would give that. I'd probably fall at a be all great this one give him a b. They didn't really get now set back to kind of put. They kind of painted themselves into a corner. Thousand move that you could telegraphed happening way earlier. In the fact that they had no leverage in that trade discussion with utah. Because you knew that they needed to the roster spot. They knew they didn't want to move offer. Moulder or namely or gary payton guys. Who like actually have potentially have a play unlike paschal. They didn't want to move off of any of those guys. Despite those guys being a non guaranteed deals pascal's deal with full guaranteed if they waved on they. Were just gonna eat that money. The jazz from office knew that that was the case. They're not stupid and they basically traded him a fake. Second rounder in. We're to help the warriors save my and they got a decent player pascal. Great like he's a decent player. he's really injured. He was injured at the end of last year waiting for a long time. But he's a good player. So i just thought that if the words would have thought ahead a little bit more and look it's not the end of the world but if they would have thought i had a little bit more they probably could have gotten a legit asset back in return farouq possible before they went out and filled out there. Austrian free agency that this is a deal could have done something similar to this earlier in the free agency right now this season i mean it's pretty clear midway through season i he was not gonna fit. He's he's good at one thing and that one thing is not what the wanna do. He's an isos score. And he can't rebound can't pass. He can't he's not around player and he says the word he's horrible helps defender so so free agency just to recap real quick on the worst went out and got out of puerto junior namaacha be andrea dolla. Christiane porter billy and it would all that minimums she is signing a two way contract with the warriors it's looking like the words are not going to use their five point. "I didn't know how to dribble the basketball like what happened. He was never going to spend time the g. league. You're just not gonna do that. Some of the big. I know that stuff was out there before the draft. He's gonna be there. Julie trafton stat stash guy. No way dude like you go up. The number pick isn't good enough yet for the nba and isn't gonna sell tickets at center and it's going to sell tickets at that like airline hanger that is the cruz arena knocking. Sankara's love them. But that was just never going to happen. I don't even know why that was the thing. Yeah you're right. But i do think he has shown that all the prognostications about his upside are founded that he has as much factor potential as anyone had speculated. Yeah i think he's been nothing but exciting. Yes there's things to clean up. Yes he has to figure out how to play certain aspects of basketball. He's learned how to pass. That's the basil learn how to pass any means to learn how to play off the ball. But i feel like the warriors should feel really good about taking him number seven right now so if what they wanted was a guy with a ton of upside and was is a physical freak and plays a position in need then they got that and that's what they wanted and so i'm gonna give the draft at this point based on what we know right now and a minus the only reason i'm not giving it a full a is because in an ideal world they would have probably h traded one or both of those picks for proven player but Given the fact that they kept both picks. I think they did the best hits. I'm gonna give them the name minus. Does i have two hundred. I don't really want to okay. So this is my pod. "What grade do the warriors get west. Thank you so much for joining me back on. The podcast works year in las vegas for summer league at. I'm not gonna say the name of the hotel. But it is one of the not as nice hotels on the las vegas strip We're trying to be nice to the company not not trying to go over that per diem too much. So but we're we're high up overlooking the beautiful last vegas strip and the pools and all the the lavishness that is las vegas and we're talking about suddenly and we're really That have been down there. But we're allowed in on basketball and providing content to the masses. You guys being part of those wonderful masses. And i wanted to use today's podcast to basically evaluate the offseason because i think that the warriors are done making any significant moves. Any news of note moves of you know. I think they're going to end up. Not using their mid-level exception. I think that if you look at the roster right now it's pretty full and you know everything's pretty much intact. So i think. I think were pretty free to start breaking down at the overall off-season in essentially give it a great And so what i wanna do on this podcast is i want to go through. Aussies step-by-step the draft trades and free agency because those are the big ways to add talent and and break down each of those individually. And then at the end of this. We're gonna provide an overall grade on the offseason and talk about whether or not they're legitimate contenders. Because that was the ultimate goal internacional was too well position yourself to the bona fide title contenders internet season. So has bob myers achieved that objective. We will discuss So the first the first big thing was the draft right and it's been a crazy few weeks because we had the draft and summer league and they're paschal trade and free agency all simultaneously or back to back and so the draft. Obviously they ended up holding onto to both lottery. Picks taking jonah number seven taking moses moody number fourteen. We've talked about it on the podcast recently..

"I think that would work like we. Markey's chris do that a couple of years ago those handoffs. I think he fits that role. He's a good playmaker arches. One point eight assists over his career. Not only is gonna space the floor as shooter but if he can kind of bring back some that zaazaa petrolia david west andrew. Bogut stuff as far as a guy who can get into the high post for you make the right pass. Split action and honestly. I think that's my favorite thing about his game in terms of how this with the war system the warriors have really. They've really missed guys like david. Watson's is a pachulia guys who can post on the low block in just with one hand kick out to an open shooter and read. Read the defense really quickly. Make a snap decision that should not be underestimated in the water system. The worst systems really bit built around that. There's a reason why. Andrew bogut was so prized in their system There's a reason why they haven't had a twenty and ten center and they've leaned more on these guys because the way their system was built they need the center to be kind of an offensive fulcrum. And i think that be elite. Chea can provide that and yes. He's not super athletic. But neither was truly. And you can. You can hate Pachulia want but he played a role on those teams and he was a hopeful player and is because he was smart player who read defenses. Who who who could pass the ball and be at least you can can shoot the ball to which would zaza zaza could not do so It's i think i think it's a good signing. I'm not sure how big is role will be. I do feel like as long as puerto healthy that he'll be a legitimate top a rotation guy he should be. He has the talent. He's only twenty eight like people forget. he he should be the hardest prime right now I think his best years behind him. Because of the injury issues in the lack of explosiveness. But i think he can be a real solid role player and look. This is a guy who at his court is a role player. He just was such a good role player that he ended up at one point. Getting amax contract yeah. He's he's signed that. Max when you know there was that summer of two thousand sixteen and then that following year they're alive. We're making a lot of money back. Then emplo georgia's was a big deal. Everybody's looking for wind tunnel money. They gave him a crazy offer. Sheet that three wing right. The paul george is quiet. Leonard's and everybody's picking the draft like you should have all the tools does right look good. Shooter defends multiple physicians. All these things Injuries obviously robbed him of that. Kind of versatility defensively i. I don't see him defending guys at the point of attack. I think he's gonna defend mostly reason fours but we'll see right. He's got the strength. There is the physical profile. Is there for him. To be like the wiggins backup and and guard apex predator wings. Lebron kawai pg and things like that so look again at the minimum. It looks like a home run. But he's got to play for you. My only question is otto porter. That's good building..

"They're gonna have a long career in the nba giving solid minutes to any team just because they love the game of basketball that much and they know what it's about they're not just here to get their money and call it a day. You know three years. I completely understand everything you're saying. And i completely understand the argument for mitchell but i have some reservations about him just as a top ten pick. I mean when you're talking about a top pick. I think you want someone who at least has a chance to be a stud down the line to be like a an all star caliber guy or at least close to it. And the track record for players in mitchell's mold as lottery is not great. I mean when you when you talk about guys who twenty two years old who You know don't have great measurable He's he was underwhelming in terms of his height and his wingspan at the combine Those guys just don't have a great track record historically like could do. I think he's going to be a really solid rotation player for a long time yet. But i think there's a lot of guys in this draft are going to be really solid rotation players for a long time. And i want to take him at seven. I'm not sure i do. That's just my feeling. I mean what you're saying exactly about very things that you're saying right now about mitchell is exactly what everyone was saying about dozen bain. Last year he was five. He was fucking his rookie year. Yes and city arguably to second best player last season which might say more about detroit. The bay but Yeah no i completely understand. And i've i've talked to my friend in fellow be writer on on my pot about this before and his argument was look. Do the warriors need like a future star at this pick. Not really i mean they. They need someone who's going to help him right away. They wanna maximize the steph curry window. And i think. I understand the argument of just like look. We're just gonna take him a seven. Hope he's like kind of a maybe a better version on par with someone leg. Marcus smart and and go from there and and not worry about the future accolades And just hope that he can help maximize window. I completely understand that. The process and I think it's very plausible. There's no way he's available at fourteen right. There's no way. I don't think so. No now looking at who's taking now so if commingle but if coming is there you would take mingo. Yeah and you are slowly convincing me to take book lay over a i mean i'm i'm honestly not even super high on book and i i just i.

"You know not this. Isn't this wouldn't be approving guy. But i think one interesting possibility out there and i would seriously consider it. If i'm the worst would be trading. The would-be trading both big seven fourteen packaging with wiseman and or pool To move up to like number. Three in the draft with cleveland and then try to get The number three pick Which hopefully you would take some jalen And then also like a solid rotation piece. Maybe you get. Larry nance or something like that. I would be down for that if on the warriors. I'm not sure cleveland with do that. They might get better offers for that three pick. But i do think that cleveland be would be open to moving off the three pixel only because they already have a very guard central roster in guard garland and sexton and whoever the best guys they could take at three would be guards. Jalen grandchildren suggs so the value for that pick two other teams is going to be much higher than it is to them so i think you know it would make sense for them to move in. I think the warriors could put together a package for that as a strong as strong of a package for that as as anyone. So you're by doing a deal like that you're you're ensuring that you don't have too many young guys on your roster because you're not using both picks you're you're also getting rid of a somewhat of a project young guy in in wiseman and then you're bringing in hopefully a helpful rotation player with proven experience. Someone like isla. Nancy what have you. And then you're getting a potential franchise cornerstone and jalen sagamore jalen green. I know i know the warriors are higher. Both of them so i think they'd be open daughter. Those guys at three. I think i mean jalen. Suggs is a little bit more ready to play major roles rookie but i think might have a little higher ceilings. So it kind of depends on what you're looking for but i think both would be good picks there what was what was the handles name tom tom bomb. Yeah i'm gonna take tom. One step further most of the conversations. We have right now and especially out of the combine where the warriors making a move for a big time player. A proven all star. Who comes with a huge salary so while they were shopping wise and pigs it always had to include andrew wiggins and almost none of the proposals that i heard were that much of an upgrade from andrew wiggins so why are you giving up all these assets even jakko like they is siaka better player the wiggins yeah a little bit probably but is it really worth giving wiggins and all these other pieces siaka right. Larvae wiggins is a good fit for your system. So i'll take tom's.

We feel that readers pressing questions gliding. One of kelly oubre feature rusty. Thank you so much for joining me. Back on the pod even during a pandemic felt like i was seeing you pretty often over zoom and hearing your voice. Because he was such a huge help on the warriors. Beat this past season But haven't seen you heard from you in a little bit. Because i know you you took a little time off. This week. got a bunch of great questions. But we didn't get any about team usa. And i i'm actually genuinely curious. Like what do you think dream on roles gonna be on this team say team. He didn't play a lot in rio. Is it going to be kind of a similar situation. It'd be interesting to see Coach popovich on the first day. Tuesday talked about three senators Draymond green bam out of bio and kevin love so. That's kind of the way they're going into All powerful words in the nba but centers in international who and It was the first day so he's trying to figure it out i. I wouldn't be surprised at all because of cream voice in defence if he's not the starting center for team usa but i also wouldn't be shocked if he plays seven minutes. A game provides voice from a sideline while kevin love and bam by your playing all the minutes. Neither one would shock me one day into it. I'm not even sure pop knows yet. Yeah i think that's definitely where he's going to be. The biggest asset is as a small ball center in given how the teams they face play. I think that makes a lot of sense Some made it sounds like maybe he will play a little bit more than he did You know. I think. I think he's proven this past year that he's still a high level player and can help out I think he's just one of those guys where a lot of it depends on the makeup of the roster. What you need you know. He's not like one of those guys that you have to have on the floor when you're talking about an all star laden rosser you know But if you need the facilitating a defensive toughness and those types of things. Obviously he's better than anyone so And they don't have like a legitimate center sort of be interesting to see like if they do play against yokich or rubio's i think of bama's a center but yeah you might be right. Yeah yeah probably more as so. They could go into that way where it's not even what they wanted. Matchup based till if bams are more prototypical legitimate center. Maybe he starts against ago. Bears and yoga world draymond starts. Kevin love popovich raised. Kevin love like he was completely in in back to being in his prime form yesterday. So who knows. I like i like not ever love and And then i saw your story today about you know maybe the words consignment on a vet minimum deal which is doing numbers by the way. So i think there's a lot of interesting. We actually got question about that. So we'll get to that.

"You put him in a room with any five star recruits. I mean you. And i have dealt with mike brown enough very charming very authentic. Just a really good dude. Yeah easy to work with and just immediately. There's an immediate charisma about him. So if you put them in a in a living room for ten minutes with a college recruit. I don't think that they would just hand the job over to mike brown right like you want to be in a position where the coaches fired midseason and then the natural thing to do is just promote the lead assistant. So maybe if. You're mike brown you go do that. I don't know our last question is from at shoddy hooper. What should golden state be looking for in the twenty twenty one nba draft barring trades. "What do you think. First of all i understand why stone into so many trade ideas it's warriors fans. You're going to get something eric pascoli. I've been hey if you if you take seven paschal. Can you move up at the top five. Know what is all about. What have you done for me lately. No one's no one's thinking about what he did as a rookie. Everyone's thinking about how he couldn't crack a middling rotation last season even after his rookie year paschal no-trade value even after being first team all nba. Like nobody that looked aircraft wing fifteen win warriors team and said. That's the guy that i want right in order for a trade to happen. Another team has to want that player. Typically that's what happens right. I mean that just like diminishment did rookie. Or or or whatever i just. I'm just saying he's not the kind of player that teams are like. I need that guy on my team. Right and so I don't think if passbook gets moved. It's going to be part of some sort of other larger package. Or maybe the warriors even add money to a deal just to clear a roster spots something crazy like that right it's not gonna be swapping paschal for a future draft pick or whatever it's not going to be like that must that it's like a highly protected future second or something. You mentioned all the things that are an issue with pascal's game with the warriors needed to see from him. This last year was that helps. I definitely to improve. The point of attack. Defense to approve is on the perimeter and at three point shot to come along. None of those things happen. I do think the air pascall could play a role like you said. End to the bench special specialization type of situation. Where i think he can kinda be this. Next year is like mo speights like let's not forget earlier in the season the warriors found success. having pasco play as a small ball center. Right lagos a cool change of pace lineup. now pass will the isn't able to play that position all year long every single night right. He just gets beaten down. He's not big enough and you saw his body breakdown at the end of the year. Well if he's not doing it every night but maybe doing it once a week. Where hey we need. We need to do something. We need to juice the offense or just don't have it this night tonight. Let's put paschal in there as a small ball. Five just a mix things up just to make things weird in the middle of the season. I think that's a a useful thing to have on your bench right like that's a. That's a cool option. If you're steve kerr you get to go to. I think that's probably his role if these going to have one going forward because you're right there's no more this is a make or break your for him but there's not really playing time for him to go out and work those issues. He said. two years to kind of work through that stuff those deficiencies. Now i think you know what he is. If it's an off night maybe steps not playing. He's he's resting injured. Whatever here's like. Hey we need to get some buckets for two minutes. We've been in our offense of drought. Let's just roll out a paschal at center lineup. Let them go ice. O with four shooters and just see what happens. Yeah that's probably what his role is. Yeah and look. This is not something that the warriors are like stressing over there not like the trade center headquarters..

"I remember mentioning him as a potential trade Target because toronto is a bit of a crossroads here right. They are coming off that twenty nine thousand finals a couple of years ago. They don't have that. Kawhi leonard type of superstar anymore and on blossomed in that twenty nineteen run. But he's not. He's not talented enough to kind of be that type of player for you right. He's not going to be quite level. Kawhi leonard level type of guy who could build a championship around. He's a good supporting player. Right he's probably at best. You're third best player on championship team. Very good version of that. And so maybe. If you're toronto you would entertain moving him for a really high draft pick or something like that or a guy who you may be able to build around so i sort of fear is this idea and i i had no reporting behind it. I just kind of threw it out there. But hey if toronto wants to try to move up in this draft then with and this was before the draft lottery that i talked about this with the warriors take this minnesota pick and maybe andrew wiggins and move it for crm. Because if you're a toronto that puts you in a position. Possibly to take a franchise type of talent what strikes me as interesting is the timing of hollinger writing this because toronto actually has a better pick in the draft and the warriors do right. They're picking at number four. They could take another franchise guy. I think the idea behind it would be toronto and say. Hey we want a franchise guy but we also want guy at seven or maybe and we want wise men and now we could build around wiseman the fourth pick in the draft the seven pick in the draft and fred vans lead which i think is a pretty good core so i still think it has merit as far as an idea. I don't know if there's been any trade talks with andrea. This is sort of like a a bullet points column. So it's just a little bit of a blurb he doesn't go at length and what. What if anything is really happened here but to me the name at least make sense. If you're the warriors you'd have to include andrew wiggins i would imagine for salary magic purposes. Siaka makes thirty three million dollars next year. So if it's wise men and the seventh pick plus wiggins for salary. Then you're taking guess you're taking back seat dot com and.

And i gotta i gotta give west big shot up before we get into anything else. This guy is officially twitter. Verified longtime coming probably the most egregious oversight on twitter's part that i've ever seen not have verify this guy years ago. He's a traveling. Nba beat writer. One of the go-to sources of one of the biggest teams in sports and yet was not twitter verified. And so what this weekend. Yeah i woke up. Was it friday or yeah. I woke up friday morning. Friday morning was big for me because not only was. I verified on twitter but talented creators. new album also dropped that same morning. And i honestly couldn't tell you which one was more excited for but yeah man i've applied reapplied twitter like shut down their application process for a few years which i think was the big thing. They didn't make it easy man. They make it easy. And i'm glad that just finally have that. That stupid blue checkmark next to my name. Yeah i'm very happy for you to celebrate. Did you do anything. I i got really drunk on scotch. I would have done that anyway. But being verified made it a little bit more sweet. I'm very app for you much deserved. There's a you know you would think we're in the doldrums. The offseason right now. "In my in my review of moulder. I said that he's proven he's legitimate. Nba player to which. I got a ton of backlash on in email. Social media like people say idiot for saint. He's a legitimate nba player. I think it's fair to say he's a legitimate nba player. That doesn't mean he's a high level. Rotation player i just did they. He deserves a place in the nba on roster somewhere. That's all i was saying. You're absolutely right. He is an nba player and is proven that and every time. I think that he's not he does something else that i didn't know he could do I'm kind of in that camp. That probably would have sent you a mean email. Because i think he's just shooter and then next thing. I know these way more athletic and i bought rate. Athletes is amazing vertical. He's got huge hands good wings and it's safe to say yeah. He's an nba player. But if if that role is not one that's going to matter that much season because you made a bunch of get addition the offseason. I would rather take the flyer on jessica just to see what he can give you low stakes role. I also would be interested in. Maybe giving him just two way next year. I like that more. yeah You know. I think i think the two way could be well spent on someone like him. You know you could send them to santa cruz and see what he did down there if it's between him and nico on nico manion on the to next year. I'd probably rather have jessica just to see what he can provide but rusty thank you so much. Thank you so much to our listeners and readers who provided a bunch of great questions.
