We Must Find the Strength of Our Early Revolutionaries: Hancock, Revere, Paine, and More
"Indeed, they live off the sweat and toil of others. While they pursue a destructive and diabolical course for our nation. Undermining and sabotaging virtually every institution in our society. Their ideology and worldview are based on the arguments and beliefs of a man Karl Marx. His writings are responsible for the enslavement, impoverishment, torture and death of untold millions. This is a hard fact. Despite the predictable protestations from some in our society. Embracing advanced Marxism, Marxism score ideas. An attempt to disassociate themselves from responsibility for its inevitable outcomes. Bear with me. I'm reading with one eye. These are the useful idiot to occupy. And influence our leadership positions in the Democratic Party media academia in the culture. But we must take solace. Find strength in the sacrifice and bravery of our early revolutionaries. Joseph Warren Samuel Adams. John Hancock, Paul Revere, Thomas Paine. To name a few. Become energized and in spirited by the wisdom and genius of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson. John Adams, James Madison. Benjamin Franklin and many others. Well, they have smeared and degraded. While they have been smeared and degraded by American Marxists and their ilk. We must continue to celebrate them be invigorated by them. And remember that together they defeated the most powerful military force on Earth. Founded the greatest and most extraordinary nation in the history of mankind.
The Progressive Case for Bitcoin
"This note from elizabeth. Warren sent gary. Gansler has the intended purpose. I think of figuring out what authority the sec thinks it has versus what authority needs to be within congress and the senate there is a lot of fluff and bluster in the main parts of the letter. That can leave no doubt as to how elizabeth warren feels about this. But the excerpt that i want to read are just her set of questions because i believe that those are the most pertinent pieces when it comes to what happens next to end her letter. She writes as the crypto currency markets. Continue to grow and expand a lack of regulation to provide basic investor protections is unsustainable the sec regulates national securities exchanges and crypto currency exchanges. That operate in a similar manner should be subject to similar regulatory standards to better understand the sec's existing authority to protect consumers and investors who participate in crypto currency exchanges and the potential need for congress to take additional action on these matters. I ask that you provide a response to the following questions by no later than july. Twenty eight twenty twenty one one. Do you believe that crypto currency exchanges are currently operating in a fair orderly and efficient manner. If not what problems says the sec identified that are associated with the use of these exchanges. To how did the characteristics of assets traded on cryptocurrency exchanges differ from those of assets traded on traditional securities exchanges do these characteristics warrant additional investor and consumer protections for cryptocurrency exchanges relative to those provided for traditional exchanges three. Describe the extent of the sec's existing authority to regulate existing crypto currency exchanges. To what extent has that authority differ from the agency's authority over traditional securities. Exchanges for foreign regulators have moved to restrict cryptocurrency exchanges in their jurisdictions in recent years while calling for international coordination to address regulatory gaps. One specific regulatory challenge may arise from the unique organizational structure of some global exchanges for example by finance one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world by trading volume is everywhere and yet based nowhere. The crypto currency exchange has processed trillions of dollars and trades this year as a transfer is digital and conventional money around the world through constellation of affiliates. And yet it has no headquarters
Warren Buffett & Charlie Munger: Taking the High Road
"Warren buffett. And charlie munger have been business partners more than five decades. We were sort of made for each other. We've never had an argument in this whole time. We are strong minded in that time. The pair have built berkshires. Unique portfolio companies brands like the nsf. Railway geico duracell see's candies and basically left them alone. The way to get a good partner was to be a good partner and these are very effective ideas and they just work so fabulously well and they worked so well at berkshire. I caught up with squawk box. Anchor becky quick. Hi how are you. I'm good how are you over. Zoom about the buffett. Munger magic neither one of them ever really wanted to work for bosses or have a boss or work in corporate culture. They both said that they wouldn't survive it. They'd get fired. And i think that's why berkshire is the way that it is. They like to let people have their autonomy. They like to let the. They've got more than sixty businesses that they own outright and they let the managers run those businesses for a company that is now one of the ten biggest companies in the world by market capitalization. It's an incredibly decentralized organization. They lease a couple of floors from somebody else. And that's where the whole thing's run run from. If i were to tell you the details of this you'd think it was a scam. You know that. Pops Worst Kept Secret ft. Emily Warren
"Need to start with one of the worst kept secrets and pop music. The secret is most artists. Don't write all their songs. That's emily you're hearing. We met up outside her house. So you'll hear some yard noise in birdsong when she's talking very. Few artists are really in their bedroom like playing piano and writing the song by themselves. That's really uncommon. They cooperate a lot of their songs. Almost every artist outside songs and it's kind of like a no one wants to know that. What do you think us so taboo. I think like the idea of an artist is meant to be like. They write their own songs. And it's all like coming from their heart and their story. It's like you wanna see the artist name on there. You want to know that like. It's really their story in their words if you're connecting with them there's probably a lot of reasons why people work with songwriters. Could you sorta unpack some of those. Why the songwriting community so essential to pop music. First of all artists have to wear like a million different hats. They have to go on tour they have to do pr they have to do brand partnerships ed to do photo shoots like an artist schedule is like insane and generally they'll have like a few days here and there to squeeze in going into the studio and actually making the music song. Writers are writing every day of the year. So i can write three hundred songs and then be like these are my three best ones. I'm going to send this like you know it's it's our odds are so much better because it's all we're doing and actually even artists who right most of their album are mostly doing it with writers people who can push them in a certain direction and help them come up with lines and like nine times out of ten. I would say it's a collaboration. But there's also gonna be like a creative benefits right. I'm curious from your perspective. Like do you write differently on your own totally solo than you do when you're writing with other people hundred percent. I started as an artist. So i came from a place where i was like. I'll never rate with somebody else. And then as soon as i started. Breeding house like whoa. This is amazing. Like two brains can come up with something one brain cam i can throw something out and then co writer can be like. Oh what have we try it like this. I wonder if we do this. And that collaboration. Which obsessed with i just think is amazing and a lot of artists have like a writer that they work
The Goal of the American Marxist Is to Destroy the Current Society
"Depression in this country. The Democrats know it. Keep something in mind. The influence of the American Marxist on the Democrat Party is significant. And what is their goal, ultimately, to destroy the existing society, replace it with some kind of Rube Goldberg Marxist socialist system. They're never very clear about what it is, but it doesn't really matter. Any important storm critical race theory, critical immigration theory Critical trends theory. I call them those things and that's fine. And so for them. It's a win win. But they have to also control the political system. That's precisely why They want to control the Supreme Court. I don't know why they pretty much control it anyway. You can see. Tony Barrett Kavanagh. They've already buckled. John Roberts wants to be the next, uh Chief Justice Warren, So that's three. Um Pretty much there's there's three Constitutional is left on the Supreme Court to in particular one most of the time. And that's where we are. But that's also why they want to change our election laws. They're breaking their backs. They're afraid the house will be taken by the Republicans. Given the economic situation that's right on the horizon. To try and institute with no majority in the Senate. They don't the majority in the Senate. It's the Constitution that gives the vice president of vote. They have no significant majority in their house. They're hanging on by a thread. And by the way, the finished thread in 100 years.
SEC Chair Gary Gensler Plans 'Woke' Corporate Disclosure Rules
"Charlie. I don't know that we've ever spoken. If we did. It was a long time ago. How are you? It's a huge honor and pleasure, Mark. We did speak. You had me out for a book I wrote back in 2000 and three when I was at Newsweek magazine believe. Oh, my God. Well, let me say this. It's a real pleasure. You're a real serious reporter and you do your work and You broke a story today that caught my ear. And I'd like you to explain who is Gary Gansler. And what is he doing? Gary Gensler is a longtime fixture on Wall Street, essentially the revolving door between Wall Street and Washington in the sort of he worked at Goldman Sachs. He worked in the Obama administration, and he worked at the end. I think he worked in the Clinton administration, so he's been going back and forth. He's pretty rich. She was a partner at Goldman Sachs. Now he's the head of Wall Street's top cop, the Securities and Exchange Commission. Um, and he's doing something really interesting now over the years. Gary Gensler has more from sort of a Clinton Democrat into, I guess the best way to put it as an Elizabeth Warren Democrat. He's extremely woke extremely progressive. And he has some extreme ideas of how he wants Corporate America to act. He wants corporate America to adopt extreme woke. Policies he wants. Essentially every company to environment embrace environmental standards. He wants every company to have quote unquote diverse boards and diverse workforces, and he he wants to use government as the lever to do that, and he's doing that right now. At the Securities Exchange Commission. Because the Security Exchange Commission has enormous power over corporate America. It basically can mandate what they do and how they do it, and it could do that through a lot of different levers enforcement actions. In this case, what he's doing is he's proposing rules. And those rules will be passed by the Securities Exchange Commission, which is majority Democrat now, so he's going to ram them through without any without any Republican voice, And these are rules that essentially forced companies. To be more woke in certain areas in in terms of environmental issues in terms of board diversity, they will have to disclose those that their diversity have what they're doing for the environment. And when they do that, obviously, it's going to be a an object where the mainstream media is going to weigh in and say, Look at this company. Company. X is not his woke his company wide. They're not doing as much here than not doing as much there. Uh And I guess the bottom line is this. Listen, you may believe in these policies if you're liberal, if you're a free market capitalist like me, I care about the bottom line, to be honest with you, But if you're a shareholder, you really should be caring about the bottom line. These are not bottom line issues, and they Feed the S E. C s mandate. If you read the mandate, which is to make the markets safe, poor investors to make sure companies disclose stuff that investors care about for too wet to to weigh whether they should Invest in the stock or not. I mean, this is politicizing companies and corporate disclosure to a level that we've never seen before, and he's doing it. He proposed these rules and they

I jokingly said that today's episode is going to have to be called the empire strikes back and this wasn't in reference specifically to the global powers that be getting up el salvador's craw about bitcoin although there is a meeting with the imf today that could provide some insight into their initial reaction to the move in fact as i was prepping. The show preemptive comments from the m. f. came out jerry rice and imf spokesperson said quote adoption of. Bitcoin is legal. Tender raises a number of macroeconomic financial and legal issues. That require careful analysis. Which i mean isn't surprising. Of course they were going to say this. And i'm not overly concerned yet. Instead the empire strikes back comment was about a string of established powers. Ratcheting up their rhetorical and real attacks on bitcoin and crypto at large. Let's head first to china as this is a story that's already started and that has seen some significant developments this week. There was action by two provinces against mining in xinjiang. ‘The Conjuring 3’ Creeping Past ‘a Quiet Place Part II’
"Conjuring talk about the actual movie theaters in a sack. The conjuring has return. This movie's been sitting on the shelf for y you can tell because they just turn burn those conjuring movies like nothing and the conjuring i think of all the horror movies that were created and thrived in the last decade. I would say the conjuring is the number one name. Because you've got a entire universe that has spanned in less than a decade or just about a decade and the latest movie to come up is the conjuring. The devil made me do it. Which again is going to compete. Einon say win but compete with crew cruella and of course last week's big winner a quiet place part two. So i want to hear your thoughts on the conjuring deal made me do it if this was last year and it come out originally when it was supposed to come out. I probably tell you. I'd be done with the conquering franchise. I think people would probably have franchise fatigue by now and the numbers would be going south. I don't know what to think right now because people are just hungry for anything. Seemingly after last week's big big numbers for the pandemic the biggest numbers ever for the pandemic. I want to see what kind of success the devil could conjure up for the conjuring. Ooh i like that lead in there. I'm thinking this might be a very successful title forum even if it is getting kinda mid road reviews right now. I think we've got a a little bit to go when it hits the actual viewership and you know we start getting that. That average fans Review here the thing. That's really catching my eye. Here is we're we're sticking with this whole paranormal investigator. Lorraine warren thing. We're still basing the The story loosely on facts. And i think that's what draws people in at the end of the day you know that fact that this might be rooted in some version of real facts somewhere makes your average you're really sink into that storyline. I know it makes me think into the storyline. So you know. I appreciate what they do with the writing here for a lot of the conjuring and you know i. I will agree with you. We have a little Battle fatigue little conjuring. It you know if it was if they would release this movie straight out the gate last year
Confessions of a Microinfluencer
"Is chick truck really social media app. This says got me thinking or is it a marketplace and also got a million bucks like kylie. I have so many questions here. So i reached out to influence her manager. Zack fitch and micro influencers matt warren egg to get some answers matt zach. Welcome to many rehab a thank you so much for having it. We love your show. It's awesome. yeah it's good to be on good to see in person. Thank you until our listeners. A little bit about your cells. Yes so i'm and i am the trader of fifty dates to states. My name's zack. And i originally was a tiktok influencer. And i started helping people get brand deals so i ended up creating a company called ubiquitous influence with a bunch of my marketing executive friends. And we now help tons of influencers get brand deals and make sure that we're there for the brand to deploy capital for them at scale on tiktok and therefore the creator to make sure they're getting paid what they're worth and not getting taken advantage of and actually matt is one of our influencers that we have and so we wanted to bring him on your show too so you can kinda get both sides. They're both different things completely nanno influencer. We usually have like ten thousand or less followers. Some companies really love using them because they feel like that audience is really engaged with them and really entertained. The micro influencers we say. Is anyone less than a million followers. And then there's the micro influencers which is like a million plus when we work with them as well.
"warren g" Discussed on Political Scandals
"In the cabinet. Hoover was not particularly loyal to harding's administration and had been surprised to be invited to Alaska in other words Herbert Hoover was the kind of person a politician turns to when he's tired of talking to yes-men. Harding asked hoover. If you knew of a great scandal in our administration, would you for the good of the country and the party expose it publicly or would you bury it? Publish it, and at least get integrity on your side advised hoover. This wasn't the answer harding hoped to hear after a little more discussion. The meeting ended hoover somewhat mystified returned to his own duties. The president was later seen by his valet lying face down and motionless in his bunk on the ship when the Valet asked if harding was all right he replied in a Morose Tone I hope the boat sinks. In the following day's harding was visibly weary but he refused to cut short his journey. He headed back from Alaska by way of Canada where he became the first US president to pay a visit to our closest northern neighbour. On July. Twenty six nineteen twenty-three harding spoke to a packed house in Vancouver British Columbia. Without stopping to rest the president journeyed onto his next appointment at the University of Washington in Seattle. Visibly exhausted. He spoke briefly and left the stage without even waiting for the crowd's applause to die down. That night on July twenty, seventh nineteen, twenty-three, the fifty, seven year old president had a heart attack. His personal physician, Dr Sawyer, misdiagnosed it as indigestion. None the less his weekend engagements in Portland were canceled. Harding then travelled on to San Francisco where he decided to convalesce at the palace. Hotel. The president improved briefly under round. The clock care harding seem more like himself by the evening of August second when he asked his wife to Redo him from the Saturday evening. Post. Florence ministered kindly to her unfaithful husband in his time of need to find an article in the post praised the president and began reading aloud. When she paused briefly harding smiled at her and said, that's good. Go on read some more. then. Warren G harding spasm vision in his bed and died. His heart had finally given out. "warren g" Discussed on Part of the Problem
"Go. It's a pitch to look Bernie. Sanders is so he's got good ideas but he can't get it done but I can. So you have damning indictment of Michael Bloomberg. He basically needs to be out of the race kid gloves with Joe Biden and then a very interesting criticism of Bernie Sanders which is basically like. Oh He's got these good ideas but I'm the only one who can get these good ideas done so Bernie Sanders. Supporters should really be supporting her just saying her staying in the race seems to also be helping a Joe Biden. It seems to also be helping and again keep in mind what I said before. There isn't really a path for Joe Biden. It's just Bernie Sanders Verse Bernie Sanders. Not Securing the nomination. I think she got the VP pitch or Secretary of state. Pitch what he offered. Well I don't know but I think that you know Elizabeth Warren. You GotTa Remember Who Elizabeth Warren is right. If she and I'll just remind you guys. I know I mentioned this before on the show. But I found this really interesting when I was at the nyu auditorium where When Gene Obscene debated Richard Wolf and debated the pants off of that. I saw fifty thousand views on. Its OWN UP. Yeah. It's great and gene. Just I mean I just demolished him in that debate but there is a room full of pro at least half maybe more Were Socialists Communists. I mean like like legit like you know not like giardi thing all that all that good stuff and I talked about it when I did stand up at the beginning and then I talked to just like some of the people there the during and after the event before during after and I asked a bunch of them about Elizabeth Warren and they just had no love for her and I asked about Bernie Sanders and they were like losing their minds they were so can their dirty panties for Bernie Sanders and there was something interesting. Just kind of you know because you almost go like I was like well. I mean you know. Elizabeth Warren is really especially at the time she you're like she's basically running on all the same proposals Bernie Sanders. I mean she's right like why wouldn't you like her to I? Mean she's running on Medicare for all at the time Medicare for all and a wealth tax and free college tuition and abolishing student loan debt. And all this stuff like all those all. It's the built for aggressive juice. Well that is true. That is a real thing. It's programmed into all of us and we have to work on that. I myself have to wake up every morning and think about that stopped loving aggressive. Jews still doesn't work but there was something interesting about how they wouldn't they just didn't trust her and I think they kind of knew they were like. I think they were right. I think they could just smell it on her. It's almost like they just like she's not one of us she's claiming to be but she's not and those guys those hard core Socialists. They're right their right to like smell on her. She's not Elizabeth Warren. If she really cared about all these ideas right like if she's really who she claims to be an Indian No progressive you know if she really cares about a wealth tax and free college and abolishing student loan debt and raising the minimum wage and Medicare for all all the things that she's claimed she cares about her whole Korea. She would love the Bernie Sanders moment. I mean come on Lake. Let's get let's get real. You've got right now. The Guy who really represents all of those views is the front runner. He's got a real shot to clinch the nomination. If you really believed in all of these views you would go. I'm dropping out and I'm throwing my support behind Bernie Sanders. That'd be the obvious move through Elizabeth Warren. If she was what what she claims to be. And instead she's sitting here taking shots at Bernie Sanders and vowing to take this thing all the way to the convention. I mean that's what she said it. She's not even like being cryptic about it she goes. This campaign is built for the long run and I need as many delegates to take to the convention as I can get on Super Tuesday. Now go send me money. You know like that's this. Is Her message now. Back in two thousand sixteen Elizabeth. Warren was somebody who was somewhat respected in this progressive area and she could have come out and endorsed Bernie Sanders and really kind of helped his campaign a lot and she didn't endorse Hillary Clinton and I think that's a big part of what the these socialists smell on her like they're like don't don't give me this bullshit. You'RE A to your the establishment. You're not with us. You're with the establishment. I remember as libertarian. Remember back in like two thousand eight two thousand twelve more particularly but after because two thousand twelve. You remember like two thousand ten. There was the tea party movement so there was in by the twenty twelve presidential race. There was kind of like the popular wind was like this like small government. You know debts getting out of control. Taxes are out of control all this type of stuff Because this is when you know people care about that. It's really unfortunate. They don't seem to anymore. But that that was like a. And so there'd be a lot of all the sudden these. Republicans who are like riding this. You know. Yeah we want small government stuff but you look at them and be like yeah. I don't I don't trust you. All of these guys started getting on this. Trent Yeh like Paul Ryan and Rick Santorum and all these guys and they'd be like yeah. I'm F- I'm a hardcore small government guy. Then you'd like see in their voting record. You'd be like you voted for like you know whatever the Bank bailouts and the no child left behind him. The wars and all of this small government guy at all is just sometimes. You could just smell on these people you like. I don't fucking trust you. I know you're full of Shit. And then there'd be the more people the people who you're like okay. That guy is authentic like he really means it. You know there's like there's those guys and then there's like Thomas Massie or someone like that who your guys actually for small government like. He's really he believes what he's saying. And I think just smell on Elizabeth Warren. That she doesn't mean that Shit and she doesn't she doesn't there's no reason why if Elizabeth Warren was really this progressive. That she claims to be she wouldn't be supporting. Bernie Sanders right now. Sorry right now is the moment if you're a true progressive or democratic socialist or anything like that if you wanna see those five things that Bernie Sanders mentions every time he opens his fucking mouth. You know healthcare's human right raising the minimum wage to fifteen dollars. An hour abolishing student loan debt. You know all the stuff he says every single time. If you believe that well now's your moment. Now's your moment when this guy is. Actually the front runner in the Democratic campaign and tomorrow on fucking Tuesday could have a day that changes the course of American history and. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Bernie. Sanders is a huge fucking day tomorrow. This could change a lot about the country and in this moment. You're coming out to take shots at him. And what is your. What is the line of argument like I? It's also such A. Witless and there's a million arguments to pick apart about Bernie Sanders that you know the will we've done plenty in the past? I have a feeling we're going to do a lot more in the future. Like there's a lot of real problems with Bernie Sanders but this argument is the weakest of all of them. He's got good ideas but he can't get them done. That's the argument from a progressive like Elizabeth. Warren who's advocating a wealth tax and universal healthcare. And all these other things. Well Yeah I mean. You haven't gotten any of that done. What have you gotten done? What type argument is that like? I remember they used to say the same thing about Ron Paul. When he was running that'd be like a criticism of him. They're like well. What's his signature piece of legislation? Like well right. He wasn't for any of the legislation that passed so yeah he wasn't he doesn't have one now it'd be like well. He was like Dr. No I mean. He's voting no on these bills that everyone else in the congress is voting for. It's like right and that's what he's running on. Everyone else was wrong. This whole system is wrong if Bernie Sanders. Running on this whole system is corrupt. Then it's really not a knock on him to say. Yeah but you haven't been working with the system to get all this stuff done. It's like yeah that's his point. He doesn't want to doesn't want to be a part of this. He's trying to work got popular support so he can get it done that way. I I just find this to be like such a week criticism. But it's interesting to see her vow to take this thing all the way to the end near the real the problem you know it's almost like because we've done almost like a eulogy for Mayor Pete and for for Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer. I guess didn't really get one but here Tom Sawyer was here. He was a billionaire I don't know what he stood for and this was probably a waste of time and money. There says eulogy but I almost WANNA do one four Elizabeth Warren Because Elizabeth Warren. If you do remember I mean. She didn't drop out she should've Elizabeth. Warren was being talked about as a serious candidate for a little while there and so you almost wonder why well what happened. What HAPPENED TO ELIZABETH WARREN? Why did she fail as a candidate and I actually think the answers like pretty obvious? And it's not just that like her plan sucked. I mean she had a problem when she unveiled the healthcare plan. And all that Shit. That was definitely a big problem for her. Polls like went down right around that time but the major problem Elizabeth. Warren has. It's actually you remember at the beginning I said Elizabeth Warren is just dead before she even starts because she's a fake Indian and so there's just no way she can win. I actually thought the fake Indian thing would have been more of a problem for her throughout the primary but it didn't really end up being Nobody brought it up. Nobody used it. Don't get me wrong. Had she have won it would have been a major problem for her in the general election. No question about that but it's not so much that her being a fake Indian was. The problem was what ruined her campaign. It's that she was the type of person who would be a fake Indian. That's the problem with Elizabeth Warren. That she is phony down to her core. Everything about her is just fake and bullshit. She's got nothing she's completely inauthentic. She claims to be this fucking progressive. Who has these values? She doesn't she doesn't have shit. She claims to be like. Oh I won't take any money from billionaires or any of this shit yet. She did take money from billionaires for her senate campaign and then funneled that money into a presidential campaign. Oh and by the way mashes taking money from billionaires again. Now that she's desperate she's she went back on that and now she's willing to take money from them. She had nothing she pretended to be this Bernie Sanders ally then. She tried to throw him under the bus as soon as you can. Then she fell back on this. Like just pathetic like woke ISM nonsense. You know like everything was about her being a woman. You're sexist the things. You tweeted black. Trans Women are the backbone of our country. It's just what just let me. Pander be as phony as insincere as possible that was Elizabeth Warren whole campaign. And this is why people didn't you know launch on latch on rather so anyway. She's she's refusing to drop out as I said Warren Bernie is is trending. And even if she doesn't drop out I gotta say I think there's a pretty good shot that That the Warranty Bernie phenomenon is going to happen either way that that is a real disaster for the establishment who are hoping to.

"Then you have the Progressive Elizabeth Warren. What does she come out? And do who's done worse than those two moderates. And what does she do she goes? Hey Go to Elizabeth Warren Dot Com and send me money right now. We need more delegates. Take them all the way to the convention. Shit they're all fighting for the same thing which is a brokered convention which is against Bernie Sanders. See she's still staying in the race because she listened right now trending on fucking twitter and this is a somewhat organic thing. I mean I know twitter like you know can affect the fucking trending shit but right now twinned trending on fucking twitter is Hashtag Warren to Bernie. There's a whole bunch of Bernie supporters. Who are like. Hey all you warned. Supporters Get on the train your progressive right well. This is the only progressive option. Which by the way is the thing that makes sense? So if Elizabeth Warren drops out of the race now. Who Does that help Barney? It's a huge win for so everyone just happens just like it just so happens. I'm sure it's a coincidence. You don't want to be a conspiracy theories or anything like that. It just happens that the entire media is trying to ruin Bernie Sanders that Hillary Clinton is coming out and and trying to ruin Bernie Sanders that the CIA is leaking stuff to the Washington. Post to try to ruin Bernie Sanders and it just so happens that all of the candidates drop out or stay in are aimed at hurting Bernie Sanders. Just a lot of coincidences. Go on but you wouldn't want to be conspiratorial about any of this shit but there's the message right from Elizabeth. Warren is it goes. Hey just see you know. I'm staying in this all the way to the end. Keep giving me money. Keep giving me support because who is her main competition just by existing right now. She is taking shots at everybody. Because that's how you know this this. That's how this works. The only way you can keep those votes. You know what I mean. Some of the progressive votes from burning is you have to take shots at the establishment to but just notice like who she really taking shots at who Elizabeth Warren going hard at Bloomberg. That's the guy she's really taking on right like trying to get him. The Fuck Outta here. Just all seems like the establishment is now coalescing around Biden because they realize he's the guy there's more. Let's play a more from this Elizabeth Warren Video. It may take days or even longer to know the results from Super Tuesday but they will be critical in sorting out who our nominee will be this year. My campaign is built for the long haul and we are looking forward to these big contests with fears of an economic crisis and recession rising with fears of a global pandemic rising. American's best ask themselves. Who Do you actually trust to run this government?.

Yeah well the thing about the eastside motel is. I've done a little research into it. They apparently have a fantastic breakfast buffet. Okay yeah yeah the. Here's the other thing that I like about the end of the song There's so far. Warren G and Nate Dogg have used skirts. Yup To describe them freaks which yes that more of the Times but he calls them dames. That's the other thing this. Maybe he really was trying to do production. One one of those names was sexy as hell. There's a lot well okay so also this sounds like a rap song that was written by the guy who came forward in time from the fifty took it in there. They say Dame's he says it's going real swell skirts. There's a very weird like makes mix like nineties hip hop real like fifty guys and dolls. Go and she sat down with like their GRANDPA take. We're going to write a song. You WANNA write it with us. I sure do kids. I got a car full of girls and it's going real swell word about twenty-three swell stick with slow and then that's it and then the there's another another verse verse to this song where they talk about how the g funk has started and thank God it proclaiming yeah and has never ended and I tell you what g funk is it's Gangsta rap with a with a funk twist and a little forty slang says you smoke like I smoke then you high every day and if you're acids of buster off that means the buster to regulate the song ends and they have a scrabble party. Nice Day they had. They had a good little evening. Michael Your innocence is Darling scrapped like monopoly Mike Off Awesome. They're playing risk. They're playing risk. There's there's invasion involved the little plastic men now or maybe never know girls are free they are free swell dames all right quick break and when we come back and tell you about the history this armless story behind the story.

It is the only happens to Warren G is he literally he first of all walked into a nice game they should have been at immediately. Got Beat up all all of his stuff stolen. I'm stuck. He immediately gives up like they pull out because he says I stopped. That's it he never one one second tries to get away tries to fight back he just immediately starts getting beat up. Yeah now do you think happened at the dice game that that made them start threat to beat the crap out of him. I think he was starting to roll and he was like luck via nobody. No my wearing the wrong suits. He wants to roll the dice and like they just saw rolex and we were like. This isn't a game yet. Don't don't he the talks about them them. Taking all his wealth taken warranties wealth. Yanji don't don't wear your wealth to a street corner street-corner buddy you know what you have a you have a car something just put them in your pocket at least be now Liam McLoughlin permanent put in your pocket. Don't start rolling with your rolex. Han People don't care what you put down for the dice. They see Rolex and they're going for the Rolex so then NATO is driving around like we said passes some women and nate. Doug is so unbelievably attractive that these women cannot keep the car on the Road Day. Drive up on the curb and then nate Dogg after causing them to crash a happy being so good looking then be rates he says. Won't you think of better things than some horny tricks like girls come on. Look I understand. I am so so incredibly sexy. You basically can't drive a car. Yeah but think of better things like Algebra Or Maybe Road Safety your crushing your car into the side of the road is the highest form of flat as he drove away and their cars. Ars Total these like fangs. I was so nice to shouldn't have done that. Those girls are so horny. He's still let me contemplate. And then he glances over and sees me nate coming on down the timing. Oh thank God and then yeah and then nature out of the car. He says sixteen in the clip one in the hole so he knew how many bullets you have in your gun. I always always always keep track of that dirty Harry track of how many he had in his gun. Come on make some bodies turn cold. And then he says it's chilly out he's GonNa take. Oh you think this is funny. Take your jacket now. You're tough guy. Yeah see how you're laughing now. Some walks them them. Says if you guys don't cut this out to make somebody really cold on that somebody could be all right. Everyone your mittens asthma. Ah Mom nickname these. I don't care I do. You should have thought of that out on my friend that he uses the words like they started dropping in yelling tad sorry just a tad so close but typically there's a lot of a lot of Gore's what's coming up real quick before they start to clown ibis pulled out my strap and lay some busters down. This is sort of like what what should I do. I from what I can tell. I have like three options number one. Sit in the car seat number to yell at them to stop say hey you guys come on get warranties Rolex back and the third thing is pull out my strap and lay them busters down Lou Labou see. I always thought that it was pulled out my strap. I'm wearing buster browns. It originally was when they went back out there like how about lay them busters. I'm really proud of my shoes around. But I do like some of these start. Some of the line sound like they written by like a particularly bad as kindergarten teachers kitsap climbing. Listen Buster you listen to me. "Welcome back to the story song podcast. I'm Dan mcinerney Gazelle Rachel each and every week on the show we walk you through stories song point out a few where details maybe go off on a few crazy tangents based on things that happened on the song. It's kind of thing we don't tendency take down this week on the show redoing some slightly different for US regulate by Warren G and nate. dogg sort of early nineties hip hop the Great Arab hypothesis. A great size huge song so the story of the Song is Warren G. is one of our two. Here's the song. He's driving through Long Beach each California his hometown. He's looking for a few skirts. Have a good time with nineteen fifty. He's going skirt shopping. Yeah yeah these and put them on. Swing by Victoria's secret but On its way to do that. He sees some guys in an alley playing dice. Ace he decided well. This'll be fun. Fun jumped out of the car. Nothing bad ever happens on a street corner dice. Game now walks over to them And these these guys get up. pull out guns start beating the crap out of Warren G and start stealing. All his Walton is watching all the stuff not just as watch his rolex. Exchange's wrongs nate. Nate Dogg is driving around looking for his friend. Warren G he passes a car of women and the women are so so attracted to nate. Die that they crash their car up on the curb because they were just sit in such a tizzy about him and they dug and he was driving and drives literally. Just sorry. You were blinded places to be over not dead continues driving. and He sees four G.. Getting a jacked as the song says jumps out of his car pulls out his gun shoots a few of them the rest of them run away satisfied. Somebody's father and and then Nate Dogg and Warren g declared they have regulated and then they get back in the car. Go back to the the ladies who fresh that car Give them a ride. But they take them to a sleazy motel where they presumably have some sort of. Uh Yes some sort of crazy part could have been playing scrabble and then this story. Yeah so it's it ends with them just like like going. Renting a video is a children's story calling it an early night ragged mountain. It was clear. Black lack of a clear white was on the streets trying to consume some starts rolling. Just hit the sound of the proletariat. They don't need to tweak two one three the first thing I want WanNa say about this is Children anyone maybe younger than thirty years older or so. Let me tell you a tale about a mythical time in the past. This was a time before everyone had a cell phone. And so if you wanted to find your friend sometimes you just drive around working jello although not much of a choice and here's the crazy thing is some nights you drive around all night. He'd never find them now. And the next day you would call them and be like oh we never hooked up. Because I didn't know where you were and had no way of contact may have cell phones. I don't understand maybe you had a beeper but you have to a phone exactly that and then you both have is to be at phones. Yeah see my drive around looking for each other letting shot in the dark. Oh Man I don't know why the trend ended but I still have a beeper ridiculous time. Even I don't want to talk to people directly I just I I just want like a coded message. And then I'll talk back to you and coded message and then we'll never speak. Remember when like people would get like a message on your beeper. Whatever nick I gotTa make a phone call someone message me nine one one? Allow the codes the lake. You know Oh this is like put whatever at the four hundred four. What would happen if nine one one T it would it be like in nine one one nine one one bt but it wasn't an emergency what if it was like nine one one four one one like we just information? Yeah where are you. What if you're just friends with a nine one one dispatcher or something that was the thing to like then you would get the message then like you'd be like a diner and they don't have to go to a pay phone call and then come back to the table and telling the table at the person who was on the phone said basically living in the flintstones essentially things to always carry quarters with you so and then he would call the person collect collect your school hang exactly what and there? There are our younger viewers. Because we've like sixteen year old yours or have any of us. We're we're an audio little destroyed. Set up a Webcam job and we're constantly is that why I also also believe people just stare at their ipods waiting for something to happen but that was a true thing that like you would people are like. Oh that's so crazy crazy. That's so funny. No that that's a thing your mother would say. Do you can call collect. But don't I'M NOT GONNA pick up just like just tell me where you run school. Yeah and then we'll be behind it. Sounds like you're planning on like ambushing. While there was a dice game their own to one and with some brothers. Shooting Dyson was some get some from west busy. 'cause looking so hot they straight at some point he tricks my homies. Aw come bringing can't believe they take it. They took my rolex. ACID- damn what's up and they all around but they go straight. How come they start the clown strapping tatum posters dad?.

"On today's show Senator Elizabeth Warren and P Buddha judge go toe to toe for Iowa I and some headlines but I in impeachment news blessed on Saturday the House Judiciary Committee released the report defining what the committee believes are impeachable offenses as outlined in the constitution. I there's treason which the committee defined as quote a deliberate betrayal of the nation nation. And its security. Then there's bribery defined as quote when the president offers solicits or accept something of personal value to influence his own official actions now notable in that definition is that even if a bribe isn't accepted it still counts as impeachable if a bribe was offered or solicited getting through that one and and lastly high crimes and misdemeanors which divided into three categories including abusive power. Foreign entanglements encryption office and Elections Woo. The report is not the official draft articles of impeachment. But it is the legal roadmap that the House Judiciary Committee is following. You know what that means. Yes it's still Europa isn't that I mean sure. Also Democrats are still going after more evidence and still getting stonewalled by the White House this past weekend house intelligence chaired Adam. Adam Schiff wrote a letter to Vice President Pence his office requesting that they declassify supplemental evidence from Pinch Aid Jennifer Williams about a phone call. The vice president had with Ukrainian Presidents Alinsky back in September in his letter. Shift asked to declassify the portions of that call. That wouldn't interfere with national security. The vice president's office is predictably refused saying that quote because Adam Schiff continues to operate in an underhanded manner the office of the vice president does not even know what he wants declassified and how can someone be underhanded when they're asking you for something directly to your face do not understand. I don't know an answer. Larry impeachment he stuff Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Peter. Ginsberg has ordered a stay on the release of Donald Trump's financial records which sound shocking. Because it means they're not coming out yet. Trump is trying to block. The records from being released leased to House Democrats and he's lost every case up until now so he's appealed to the Supreme Court and on Friday. Scotus will decide if they will hear his case and so we should finally know. We're going to finally find out where trump makes and spends his money or being president does give you total immunity to hide. Whatever the fuck you want? And Donald Trump believes that his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani's trip to Ukraine and budget documentary that we're just gonNA refer to exit through. The gift shop has actually dug up quote plenty of dirt on Joe Biden. According to trump Guiliani is expected to make a quote full report to the Attorney General and Congress soon which I guess is just showing them the movie or screeners ever honestly and Sags sent me green book last year so yeah I would know this week is going to be a doozy today. The House Judiciary Committee will hold a public. Hearing were lawyers from both parties will present their evidence from the impeachment inquiry so far tomorrow A. US District Judge will hear arguments in the lawsuit from former acting national security advisor. Ezra Charles Government. You'll Remember Cup was subpoenaed by Democrats in the impeachment inquiry and the White House told him not to comply. He's asking the judge to decide whether he should listen to the White House or Congress. So this judge's ruling will decide whether we'll hear from Mr Cup and it could also apply to others who haven't testified like former real national security adviser John Bolton and basically everywhere is reporting that the articles of impeachment will be debated and voted on by the Judiciary Committee by the end of this week. This has been your impeachment. Mint News blast.

"Sometimes it's just in their kind of subtly really. Do you know this fee phoebe. Snow a metre ones okay. I was just wondering my dad went to school with her. You saw aw she was great. Yeah phoebe is one of the First Friends of my dad where She would just sit with me. And we're just like talk music in the nerdy. Most most like she gets she wrote a Lotta jingles and I always found that fascinating and she'd let me ask her seven million in questions about that. It was incredible but stuff like she would write about a ceiling. Fan and man sheet make that ceiling fan appealing and feeling. That's it that's it but again that to every kind of writing right and so that was really interesting to me. We got to know nell Carter Nell. Carter was was my mentor. Cantor for awhile and she I would talk about same kind of thing where she she could. Just get into this nitty-gritty that I live for of her saying thing. Do you know there's one note where someone does this I go I. Let's my favorite part of that song. Is that Wa- shows you. How does this? Yeah that's that's even when it's a fucked up note that's makes exit grow. Yeah like I think one thing I think is is fucked up about a lot of stuff today is everybody wants so perfect. Yeah so quantum is everything so like. It's so mechanical tuning comes in in a bad way. I think yeah when it sued perfect. I remember years ago working on Michael Bolton and I love Michael and so I did a lot of songs for him. Yeah Yeah and he'd be like tunes like before auto tune all that he'd be like getting his vocals so right and I remember. There was a song called still on my favorite songs. I ever wrote call when I'm back on my feet again. And it was his rough vocal. I just wrote the song. He really spoke to him like it. Really emotionally fucked off my plate on the phone and he came in recorded it and I saw tears in his eyes probably won't admit it but he was saying the vocals not perfect. Thank you change them and take the song. Yeah it was like it was so emotional and it was a little not perfect perfect but for me. I like imperfection. Yeah that's what's interesting once and you know right now it's like everything's so that's so boring like the like have a mistake that makes human. Yeah well there's also the small stuff like Leaving in breath sir. Taking the love that and I it's again it's it's a nitty gritty thing but once you hear it because it makes it real like how you're not it's not a robot. Yeah no it's like a living breathing person. I want all that and when I listen to music when I make music but it's like like you're saying about adding a flavor auto tune or whatever that's like a flavor because people pe- kids or something like we've heard it records for like years now so it's if it's in there a little bit it's Kinda on a like a familiar thing. Yeah well I also think you're a bit of a punk so a little bit dirty a little bit grun. Yeah I I like things things a little edge POPs like make it like real yeah. This is an odd example. This really from out of somewhere outside zone but remember the carpenters song. Top of the world. Yeah Karen Carpenter takes a breath. Yeah oh well that's a very audible breath and she's a wonderful singer amazing and she sound like an old soul. She sounded like she was like twenty one. But I've never forgotten that breath anthony time I hear it on an Oldie station or something I take note of it. It's just like so. I love that that made it human. Could if it was now they would have taken that out right right. Yeah Yeah what a great singer show I regret. I didn't get to work with her. Yeah is there has to be someone you didn't work with wasn't so full time yet. Took but but again. It's it's those details and I think that's what makes that's what's also interesting about producers like you're saying you know you wanted to know everybody's Wanna I know people I could call up and publishers. Who wrote what or who produced what how did you? How did you first put your foot in that door people at cold call them? Mm Seeming my dad would take me to publishers. Fifteen years old. There was something called the songwriter's showcase that I went to. And you know they would critique my songs as these aren't good come back with ten more next week you can just you know just things like got but I just I I was. I've always been a go-getter I've always been someone that that creates my own situations nations to this day I stone like I'm not above calling somebody if I want to do something or you know so. So who who I bit. My break was a guy named Jack. White Not White Stripes Jack White obviously That produce Laura Brown again and he ended up signing me. It was kind of not a good deal but it was somebody signing me. Ah I worked with Laura branding and early on. She was the first artist site work with that. Did my songs that had a record deal and stuff and so through that and through Aerostat Publishing that administered his stuff and through that I got rhythm I so I knew it was never looked back and then I got in a lawsuit which was a whole other thing thing that consignment anybody offering me like I remember. Someone's offering me a million dollars and I had no money making like two hundred a week or three hundred and I'd recouped his investment like million times over and I was just like. Hey gimme a little teeny piece of my publishing. Is he at all. You wouldn't and I think there was a a couple things he did that. I could get out of the contract. Like don't think account it to me or something and at the time my lawyers like well you have to have your own publishing company. You can't sign anywhere. Union the Union name like real songs are Al Ingest like like. That's where I like to think my songs are. Yeah and I was shocked that no one had that name and then I end up settling the lawsuit within myself went to court one day and I go come on. That's me and you figure it out next day. Figured it out done out of the deal and I have my own publishing. I never looked back doc and I owned all the songs every song writing story have that I bump in the road though with the bump was like a bad deal you know because like here's why like if I look back honestly. I didn't deserve anything better. I was nobody. Someone took a chance on me well but after good but after after a while I think it would have been fair. Had he changed that. But how do you change that. I wouldn't be here today and I remember being really mad at him longtime ago and then I had within within a few years ago and he he started crying I started crying he goes. I'm so proud of you and I just you know it was just kind of a cool thing I said thank you you you you believed in me enough to to I was I wasn't mad at him or anything but I remember a long time ago but it was all okay because had I not you know signed to him or been in that situation or you know gotten sued lane. I'm I I would. I would have would start by company. I wouldn't you know that was is a real turning point. That was an important turning. Those an accident wasn't like savvy or anything I wasn't just the universe what you've done don. Well you've grown yeah you learn. Yeah if you don't learn from an experience like that no it was great. How cool is that like? I get like these. It's none my property. It's really cool. Publish other people smell. I never would. I know people that do they have writers signed him. I have one writer signed to me. And she's right here. Yeah she's a damn that's right you know. I don't need so many songs on my own like. I don't do someone else's songs who do you look to. If you're when you need someone else's opinion Oh. I have a group of people that you know that I've placed a Ford. That are really honest with me. Even my trainer of thirty years I play stuff for him. He has really good ears. He's developed into a really good song guy like in Chicago. That bridge could be better. Make sure that second I that lyric is as good as the first first and he's like like you're right to play them. I don't like that like I like when someone on it. Yeah of course if they lie you don't want someone kissing your ass. If if they lie it doesn't help off better exactly. Yeah I have a little group of people you know you have to because if they say it's good than you know for sure like you need. Everybody needs it like who tells Paul McCartney something's not good. Jimmy hotels like these really legendary people. But you know some people need to tell people like that. Yeah you know. I think they're too. That tells you a lot about someone because some people are. Some people are very happy to hear the criticism in the sense that they want it to be better. I want somebody better. I'm not no no no no no no we want whatever is going to make something better. Yeah I'm into well and I think that's that's what your career has proven. Is that why you have so many so I also think you know when you speak. Obviously you speak very confidently you say like yeah. That's a great song. Ah No confidence in my music. It's almost like they're separate to me because I don't have a lot comments that myself all the time but my songs I do the ones I really believe when young. That's great you've been so drenched with your time. We really appreciate you letting US convene here. Fine it's easy the studio the studio. Oh has history of its own. Yeah don't spraining Luminol in here throw. I don't know that. Ah History used to be solo records as well so all those great. You know the whispers and Shalimar is we Dick Griffey and then and then death row and then baby face. Ace had it for a while and his wife got in their divorce she sold. It won't to some people. I bought it from them. And now it's the real songs building so but thank you for having me grace very much. Oh my pleasure and if you want follow you. How did they do that on instagram? Which is usually pictures of my cat really really rude things off your mouse and mouse Nelson my cat mouth back at so? It's IT'S I'm at Warren under. I'm at Warren Warren Underscore Diane on Instagram and I met Diane Underscore Warren on twitter about those under scarfs. Yeah I don't even really WanNa on a follower you kind of put it in a little effort. Yeah you don't have to just kind of rude though it's alright. Let's be on an enemies list because I'm really shit. "And it wakes you up. You're sitting in traffic and you listen to limp biscuit break stuff and it feels much better. You know. It doesn't matter the car break any anybody else But like you my when. I'm in the car with my dad. It was always jazz or twenties thirties and forties novelty songs. That's a big one for us. My mom is musical theater so in the car with my mom. It's Carousel Gypsy or cool. And then my other mother might say my my bonus parent. Who's taking care of me since I was one mercy loves everything from this. She loves disco eighties. You know. BG's Yeah Good Diet of good good music. She's the reason I love Jackson Five. You know it's like that stuff I want you back. It's so good perfect solid but like my ringtone is stevie wonder because it's just never a bad time Signed sealed delivered. Oh Yeah it's never a bad time But but it's all of those things everything has a place and everything has the purpose you know I could play you. The the overture people people often say that Gypsies one of the greatest overtures of all time because it right right right just as carousel. Is you know but we love seventeen. We all of this different stuff. Yeah and if you love me think why you can't no no no barriers no barriers at home. How do you Donna showing a Broadway show? You know. They're gonNA feel like that should happen. Yeah there's someone that just wrote one. Yeah I was on the phone with him and a director. That's really excited about it at this morning to ask so. Yeah it's kind of. It's about time nothing about that world so when I'm on the phone with them I'm like I I. I have nothing to say except what you wrote is really great. And it's like some of my catalog stuff. In new songs too so would it be integrated into a storyline not jukebox style. It's I duNNo. It's kind of it's. It's both new and an older son and catalog songs and kind of slightly based on me. You know but there's liberties to make an interesting. I'm not very interested. They just please. But that's what I love that because in the same way when you do a show about carole king done that people hear her music the new stuff to like that's great. That's I do so bored if it was just old but it's a whole other audience another audience to open yourself up. Yeah exactly in the cool thing about. My songs are not tied to one different artists course. They're not so it's like like you won't know the person who wrote till you wrote blame it on the rain I love or you know you know what I mean thing so it kind of makes it fun. Yeah but as you say it's a it's part of it is it's your job. Yeah so you right I love of it you right good job. If if it's four million vanilla than you write a good song from the team plays someone yes someone saying. I don't know who says so a really good job and I loved us on. It's a great. It's a great change up a half. Step my hands slipped. That's all but yeah but yeah that's one of those. That's really a soul song. I've been on the rain really know. It's Sam Moore did it with fantasia of version origin of it. That was really cool. Yeah but so. It's all good now as Jesse said you work with just about a WHO's who in the music music world people. Who can you give us an example? Somebody who surprised you. Who Wasn't what you thought they might be when you first Christie mets? It just surprised me if you've mugging out like really surprised in this room. Because I wrote the song that wrote for her movie breakthrough which is a beautiful movie. I don't know if you've seen I haven't you guys see it. It's it's beautiful. It's a better real miracle happen where the kid was skating on the ice and fell in was basically dead for an hour and the doctor was coming out to tell. His mom played by Chris in the movie. That you're you know I'm so sorry your son's dead. You know who he was dead. She went in there and she basically said you know ask God God to bring his pulse back and his posted comeback and the doctor's like it's not it's okay. It's like it's pulses back. He won't survive the night right survives the night and the doctor Goes Uh. He survived the night but he's been gone too long. He has no brain activity. Just don't even get your hopes up. We're going to keep him in a coma. And meanwhile all his friends nobody would come and sing thing is hospital room and even though the science had given up on him people didn't yeah especially his mom and his mom said take him out of the coma and and he was going to die or live he lived. He's fine I met him at the Premiere. The kid is like a totally you know. That's totally okay. And it was all about and what I loved about the movie. It's it's like right now you know it's faith-based and I'm not religious now the good thing about the movie it doesn't really shove that down your throat or anything but you know what's throng with miracle especially the time we're living in like fuck if we ever needed a miracle. Yea something positive like for me. I don't WanNa go to a movie. That is going to be violent violent and horrible. All you see on the news now so this and the movie did well. It was like five million dollar movie that made forty five million. Those movies tend to do well you when they're done right here and I loved it and so I wrote the song. There's a scene where the preacher's asking people like. You know like the firemen who who who never stop believing stand up the friends that and basically everybody in the town was in that room and they all stood up and just remember crying and so the next day I went to my My dirty writing this and I started you know seeing you know. We're through whatever you go through. I'm standing with you and I just started crying you you know and it's just it just fit that movie and then but then like I said before when when a song really works it goes outside of the movie. I'm thinking well this song can be you know in. The movie obviously has to be first and foremost but it speaks a lot. We're in really divided times. Yeah so if you could say song like I'm standing with you. Yeah it's a really okay. Good it's a good. I mean I like to put positively in the world you know and I was really proud of the song everybody loved it and so I go. I want to get like Curie under would only get you know I knew it was gonna be on on Universal Nashville and they have a pretty good roster you will. It's not technically a country. Song can lean kind of that way and they go no Chrissy Z.. Mattis to sing it because she started the movie. I go off one. She's an actress like I don't know I never saw her show. I never saw this and on They go just try it so she came in here and I just kind of sitting out we are now and I go all right. I left her with my producer. I go all come back later. I didn't WANNA be enroll. She was like the worst liar ever and I came back in and they played me like a rough calm and I was literally blown away blown away. You know and so when you say surprised. I didn't know because example. Yeah like like you're that good you know she somebody. That has that that tone that I think what makes her a great actress. She's believable and and you. She's empathetic you feel her right. Yeah and as a singer she has that tone own she has that believability. You know and I was really knocked out by her performance and then on the ACM's they premiered the song with all the peoples. I wanted to replace her with matty and Taylor there. Oh Yeah Lauren Elaine. Kinda wanted all you guys to do. The song didn't yeah. They were like there with her singing. That's the best kind of surprise. Yeah it was beautiful. I love how they use. It was really about women feel solitaire. especially Kinda music great now Jesus mobile other such a boys club. Yeah Yeah except for Carrie Underwood who they just keep so many artist artist female artists. That don't get on the radio right now. Yeah no it's It's a strange garth brooks but you know house garth brooks a performer former year. When there's all these women yeah yeah you know? I don't know I mean he's great. He's a great great performer. But I think there's I've loved seeing Jennifer nettles in The TV show richest gemstones Oceana. She yeah she's done song to mind before she's her. Jennifer Hudson the duet. Yes the the Own theme song the Oprah another Oprah thing and they both have the same birthday really the both named Jennifer. Yeah it's Kinda cool but sh- she's got one of those voices just ridiculous. Yeah she's great power. There's some really great singers and country and I'll give I'll tell you something I'll give Chrissy credit that took balls to go from your never sung in front of people apple before she got up in front of an audience that had all the best singers country music which they're real singers. You're not punching after every note singers it's okay. You know but but those guys are real. They're like yeah you know and so she had the balls to do that night. Commander for that Yeah now you just made a reference to auto tuning yeah auto tune could be a flavor though like sometimes in a vocal. It's really a cool flavor flavor. We put it in but or melamine or whatever but sometimes you know I'm talking about like sometimes people will come in. I'm not naming names. They don't know the song. Let's say we're not paying enough to name name here. You know one count but you know like when someone comes in. It's like it's like a professional like she came in. She knew the song. Yeah it's probably 'cause she's an actress too. Sometimes people come in and they don't really they haven't practiced you gotta work with vocal coach. Yeah you have to because the the best thing is it's like it's like training your athletes. Your we joke. You never had a lesson. The old school. I don't think people should boast about that. Also when they go on the road. You're going to get their voice fucked up but that's it is is. It's it's one thing to do what you did. which is learned to play? The Piano burned to play the guitar. That's one thing you know and that is it's I don't need to be a virtuoso right and they don't need to be a virtuoso to sing either but you have to. You don't have to do it correctly but you do want things to protect your voice. Tell us about auto tuning well. I'm I'm not an expert. Probably tomorrow about the technology aspect act of it but sometimes it's a cool flavor like when in that share record that you know believe we. Yeah Yeah I know it can be like right now. It's almost like a spice. Yeah so I like to have it on someone's vocal like bending a note a little bit as long as it's not you know..

We're so happy to have you here on our podcast. Thank you and happy to be in your in your one of your studios. Yeah this is. Yeah yeah one of the recordings do is a main studio here and there was a cat that lives in the speaker. And that's not a metaphor knows an actually or is it but but maybe it should be a children's book the Cat in the Speaker of the cat in the hat to twenty twenty. We planted the seed. So be it so you never were and see where it goes. We were just together last weekend at the Coronado Island film festival. It was awesome. I'm glad you had a good time. I loved it I loved. Yeah my mom would like to be a restaurant. She told me she's so cool. She's funny she's very I love her. She's really funny. We were like nothing about somebody. Yes oh I heard though we know somebody that means well we I. I'm like a magnet to crazy people. Oh ooh people myself no I just I try. But they're interesting right like at least their interest and you're a person who who's as a songwriter. Songwriter you're somebody who like a poet or writer or even an actor observes yeah. That's observe ideas are everywhere. Yeah you know but but Yeah but back to the Coronado. She's Island Film Festival because the hotel car another still haunt hotel. Tell and I was. I was trying to find out I went to the gift shop and the women there were telling me all the stories because there's a ghost tour found about Katy Katy. What's her last name? Name Not Walsh Katie. She she killed herself. She allegedly killed herself there and so her ghost supposedly lives there were also some maids the hung themselves and some odd murders there. So it's a lot a lot of all right so we were trying to me and my friend went to the room where that Katy person was before she killed herself is off to see if we hear any ghost or anything and so. It's an interesting like I guess. It's the second oldest structure and America. Yes eighteen eighteen eighty eight. Yeah it's pretty wild I mean and it's got a great history and a great Galleries of photos the photos. Like I say I went to the gift shop. Were you know the walls filled with him. I just like I just kind of almost like it was almost like you know what I walked in now. This is like somewhere in time. You know and and someone told me that the the writer wrote out there because it's literally than seeing all the pictures I'm going. Well all I need is a penny in my pocket. Remember that like and but it just like I was like looking at the pictures and just going you know trying to get in their heads like there were there that moment. What were they doing in in one thousand nine hundred twelve thousand twenty and of course? I'm so depressive. All fucking dead. They're all beautiful and they're all dead. Got Really Sad. Oh well preserved. Their Hotel hotel is famous in part because where they film some like it hot. Oh yes funniest movies ever made. And it's an incredible. I mean that's see. It's tough because sometimes I know people have. It's difficult to watch a movie when someone tells you it's one of the best it's ever been. I feel like yeah with some like it hot. I can't help myself see it again. News I haven't seen him for a long time now after being there love to see it again showed it a late Monday. Flown the coup. Every year we show it on on the beach. The film several key scenes with Marilyn Monroe and Tony. Jack Lemmon and Jacqueline on Chris was there was a lovely guy. Yeah and it's it's just cool to be right there and watching it right there with the came out and fifty nine yeah. They're all going to the theme song teams. They're all dead so it was like but I just loved being there. It was just definitely like going. There was like the twilight zone but they were delighted to have you and I was delighted to be able to interview you. And what a talented young. A woman Marissa Corvo. She's great who sang and played played accompanied herself. She had to like do the whole thing herself. She sounded amazing. Yes and shoestring them one after another. My son is a really hard to sing. Those are big songs she was just nailing him. Why do you feel that? Why do you feel your songs are hard to slow there are they are really range? They're really worthy. You know there But when you get them right like when you can hit perfection. They're really good. The reason a method to the madness but songs people come in and they go. Yeah I'm going to be able to you know three or songs in a day or two yourselves. I'm like you're not gonna even get through one incident. You'RE GONNA come back tomorrow and finish not in a bad way like they're not good or anything. It's just that the songs are difficult. Yeah have they always been like that. I don't know I mean probably I. I'm a music nerd. Just why sitting in here right now in this in Aristotle's are engineered to so we're just geeking out sitting here and it's it's like magic and that we're looking through glass where we're gonNA control when the control room and we can look through the glass there and see a drum kit setup with some sound baffle in front of it you see. This is the art of my life. If you go to my my opposite been running out since nineteen eighty five this is. This is my the building. I haven't writing room here. And I my studios. I've been renting down down the street for on on almost thirty five years and I've never cleaned my writing room. So it's it's not nice and neat like this. It looks like a hurricane. Hit it. Well let's probably looks more like a real office. Yes well it's it's kind of probably a health hazards. It's probably all kinds of things but I it's home like this is nice. I really liked being in my writing. My Dad always jokes is true He's never been able to write right a letter on his desk covered in charge skis. Oh I get and I mean my everything around me is covered and everything I stopped here. This isn't really couldn't couldn't work in a in a clean neil meal. I wouldn't know what to do with it. Yeah I've just send you a picture of it. I'll take you'd like to see that. Let me ask you if we were to under stealth of darkness invade your office your true workspace but we find like slips of paper with phrases or ideas. Yeah you'd find all that you know probably cockroaches messages you know eighteen eighty whatever the one thousand nine hundred ninety five so there's things there that you know but they're they're so they're just thoughts that you scribbled because what I find so interesting is you are. I don't want to use a cliche was going to say a work where I am workaholic in your his true. Isn't it you are. You're somebody who yeah for. Sure one hundred percent you come to work every day. Ah Yeah and your job is writing. So yeah and you look at it that way like I don't get it like all you know bigheaded or like you know I'm so cool. Aw Great I'm like okay. I'm GonNa work today and I wanted and I want to do something great. I'm going to create something Greg I you know I. I don't write a song a day or anything but I I work on. Maybe one song all week like today I was working on the song. It's really cool. It's just wanted to get like A. I'm almost done with it. Just part of the bridge I finish the only one little thing away from you know but it's a really good song detail as excited as I do passing the capital records building No no all right. I'm excited enough for both of us. 'cause I've been you know going cassette building longtime yeah again. I think the beetle like Beatles albums I think think about all of it. Yeah because it's cool and my dad's a jazz nut and has raised me. GENO CO Yeah Studios. Yeah Yeah I would feel that more going in those studio. That's that's it for me. Is that when I've gone in and it's like you need to interview Al Schmidt or I know who he is. He's a legend he's got I mean he's still every day working there. He's got to be in his eighties now legend. He's a genius and he's a fellow animal person so we're on facebook together and he's like him and I are released liking each other's commenting because he's a big animal advocate. You should definitely because he. He's the main guy though studio the history like you walk in and you see pictures of knocking Colin. He was telling me his mom and dad, you know, play my music in, you know, raise music and my son plays his music. The one who hit me his music and just to see how it all comes full circle generation generation how music, you know, expand beautiful now NATO pausing, baby. Let's spend just moments. For. Yeah. In the ultimate tribute may one of my closest friends saying we started to one three together me him Warren G, basically, I put it in a nutshell without two one three wouldn't really be no gangsta rap on the west coast. Showed them how to really do it for real out. I'm talking about really being about two one three foundation to that. Warren g. And when they all passed like a piece of us was taken away from us through his music in spirit of who. He was we team to keep them alive. The people who support, you know, the tribute that we do for him every night we gotta trust for and we put together form. So I mean, you know, despite him not being here. The thing that he did when he was here. So beautiful vote chairs that moment is he is definitely alleged in his legacy will live all through his music through us. As where we are losing people. We are losing people people who is still young thing that I wanna suggest everybody's drink a lot of water take care of yourself work out a little bit. You know, what you put in your body? What you get out of your body no-one, understand cooled experiment. What a lot of drugs. A lot of things that you feel cool because you hear a lot of wherever they do this. Do that is not cool for you to do because you only have one body you'll bodies, you temple should always respect your body, treat, your body would love and care forty same thing ended today..

"A lesson learned a little bit weird uh the first twothirds of this movie i thoroughly did not understand why it was nominated for a ton of awards then the third act started and it absolutely paid off in the first to acts the first to act late let him build let them know that the first two ag the cgi is garbage i get it i was barely invented but like when there's only so much they could do well they did these slow pana ways like show the crowd in the ship and its whose looks like the same it looks like super awkward but the third act when the ship actually start going down is a masterpiece like the practical wanted switch from the cgi like large crowds to the practical effects of the water of people running around of pushing too little following a leading the hours i mean it uh like it had than luna the big stack them or just a it had me absolutely route like i was i was just i was in it just tiers of were um no oh you well did you lease gulick a little sorry nelken we did your heart slowly this idea that it is like he was the iceberg apparently absolutely so but that being said so the third act what was incredible i'd still had some problems and you even said this she is not a good person season i told you we warren g at one point when the two famous singer she is on the peace would the door a door right which were established yes the gulf it on um.

"How do i say it's his music's always very nostalgic of original hip in a thing that i don't really connect with is the way he doesn't push music in sound forward it's just detonated the the anistan he's the answer to the roots of hip hop and whatnot but chance kaya west others are constantly pushing what sound means in terms of music uh as i think that's where i and i'm also a west coast kid so like i grew up on snoop dogg warren g they would all note pushes the the pushes the envelope on his music is new muse loop is also a forty seven yearold father of three bothering iv is a three but uh yeah he he he's up there confirmed breakfast so snoop is also somebody who is an example of trying to become contemporary with your music to keep up with what everybody else is doing ryan it sounds like hot garb so i appreciate jay z for stick intruded his brooklyn routes shinhan not trimbe to be chance the rapportuer exam understanding i appreciate somebody who's like this is my sound this is you know what i have to offer and i'm just gonna make better iterations of that right but the message itself right like was better than thrown away money in stripclub credit i appreciate somebody with the credibility of a jay z coming through inch sprinkling those jim's all over everybody on the way back to doing whatever rich people do right.
