So that's what I'm going with. Ricky, you ready one once? Really bad gut feeling. Really? That wouldn't have this one. Samoa Joe versus wardlow. It feels like war low supposed to win. Yeah, he has to win this, right? I hope he doesn't. I know you do. You don't want to see him. I feel like there's so much more. And I know everybody's going to disagree with this. And probably the booking is going to disagree. I feel like there's much more fun to have with powerhouse albums and Samoa Joe than wardlow and powerhouse house. Because that's it feels like this direction you're going to eventually go. But I want small Joe to win. Because he's been the one consistent thing in terms of promos being on the mic when he did commentary. He was great in all facets of it. I feel like not outgrown this situation, but he's cooled off. And I don't even see him with the TNT title again. I want small Joe to win. I'm just going off what I want. So I want that. That's what I'm going to pick. I got to make sense. I think wardlow will win because ROH is picking up. Joe. I know. Joe, go home. Go to our wage, do your thing. But I don't know. You make a compelling argument for Joe Joe can come show up the next night, choke out powerhouse Hobbes, caused him that title match with the stupid sonic ring, and there goes their feud right into it. I just need this match to be good. That's it. That's all I care about. Yeah. Let me warn those pretty damn. Yeah, but I mean, Joe and Darby was really fucking good. It was. So they gotta figure this out. Cole? Yeah, I do hope that this match ends up being one of those that I feel like on paper we look at it and because wardlow's cooled off, we might not think of it as like a, oh, this is like a match that could be like one of the best of the night, but it totally absolutely could be because we know Joe can go and wardlow is a crazy fucking athlete. So build aside for wardlow, however anyone's feeling about his story cooled off or not. I think both of them have a chance to really kind of showcase and be really good in the ring. Who wins this? This is tough. And the face of the revolution not being a revolution is kind of weird. Also, powerhouse Hobbes, in his hometown, not being on the pay per view. Also weird. Why couldn't the sonic ring give him the chaos emerald to get him into the pay per view and make it a triple threat, big meeting men slap a mate, I wouldn't have hated that. I did. They did. Yeah, I mind it again. And that crowd would have been hot for it because Hobbes. I mean, they were going crazy for Hobbs, the second the latter match started. So I too, I too want to see simo win. Because I do want to see Joe and Hobbes one on one the next week. That interests me more than wardlow and powerhouse Hobbs. Unless war lows go to win and quickly drop at the Hobbs. Yeah. We shall say this quick hot potato. Next belt to talk about tag team belts. Again, the division AEW had the best of in the world when they started. This is the pay per view tag team match. The guns, aka ass boys, who are the champions, the claimed scissor me, daddy ass. Jay lethal and Jeff Jarrett, orange Cassidy and danhausen. Four tag teams vying for these belts that were all mid a couple of years, like mid years ago. What I'm saying? Months ago. What I'm saying, including the claim they're really good. But they got really good. Yes, yes. You have 6 months ago. None of these people were thought about in the tag team division. You have had lucha Bros, tough flight, LAX, like you run down the list, we were like, oh my God, this tag team is stacked. And this is what you're giving me at the pay per view. Look at the best Friends, two. There's other teeth. If you need four teams in your company, there's other teams you can still put in here. Lucha Bros and there's so many teams that could have been in here to make this a banger, so I give a fuck about this match. I'm gonna pick the gun club to win because I feel like if it ain't now, FTR is coming back and they have to face them to get the bills 'cause that's where they left off a lot. It's only just completely forgets it. Like she does Kendall stick and they just move the fuck on. I feel like they asked boys they just won the titles. They gotta win. The other two teams will stand a fucking chance. It's either they claim to the ass boys and I feel like you might as well just go with them since you started with them. "It's all good. This is great. I think the thing I worry about in that scenario, Cal is, you know, if the dialog is about, okay, who's going to be diversity in the championship picture? Do you want it to be a box check? I think, and this is just personal opinion. I think everything starts and if people view it as a box check, then that's cool. Then check my box. Yes, ew. Because that's fine with me. You could view it however you want. We're at the table. I don't care how someone views it. Oh, you did this just to quiet fine. I don't care. The first black AW champion, whenever it happens, is going to be a big deal. But that wouldn't have been. Do you see that? Do you hear what you're saying? If it's an interim champion, that's a box check because you're shoving them into that picture in the first place. Want to feel better if it was like, when Kofi beat Daniel Bryan, right? Great story. It was a great story. Great story. And we knew what we were getting into. And they built that story. And it happened organically. So when the pop happened, everybody felt it. Motherfuckers cried over that shit. As every black champion had the luxury of having coffees built, but I'm saying, but I'm saying. Keith Lee wins it Tyler, nobody crying. It feels haphazard. It feels like it just happened. It feels like a box check. I think AEW is better than that. I think one of the placement of that match on that card. It was headlining. I think the quality of match he could have delivered. I think, you know, stupid run ins and shit aside. They've ended most of their pay per views with a bang, right? The crowd is so hot. I think it would have felt better than a box check. I think people would have really, really like that moment. Now would have had the four month Bill tears and all this shit? No, but a lot of black champions don't a lot of champions in general don't have people crying fucking tears. You can still do that. Again, a box check with Keith Lee doesn't stop that from happening. It does. Yes, it does. No. Second. Oh, yeah, we have rock. Yes. And Iraq was like arbitrarily. It was like, is he black? But E one, everyone still was happy as shit. Yeah, we cried over Kofi, did we make us not celebrate E? But everybody loved eating, right? Any one money in the bank. Okay. They were already positioning him at some point. Yeah. I'm saying, if you put Keith Lee in the main event of forbidden door, any out of whack cash, and then we still love that. Because we love Big E we do. I don't think we love Keith. Lee, like we love Big E and I'm not saying that this is my friend, I'm just saying, in general, that the new day build and everything that surrounded that is why we were so happy. And then I think the crowd in that building looks everybody, and it would have went over. No, because again, it's Moxley. Moxley is different. Like, Moxley ain't just a guy you plug and play. No, he is. And it's easy to go back and I understand the story of giving him the belt. I'm saying they could have had an opportunity. I'm not saying what they did was necessarily wrong. It sounds like it. I just said you missed an opportunity. Well, I mean, we can qualify any opportunity as an opportunity. And if there's argument about them having their battle royal to decide who's going to fight for that, if that's what I understand what you're saying from that point of like, well then you open the door for anybody, which in that case, I feel like the argument starts there, shouldn't have been open for everybody. They have a win loss record. They have rankings. And the number one and two can end up being John Moxley anyways, who, after beating, I believe he fought Daniel Garcia in a main event of rampage, something like that. They bumped him up to those rankings. He was the number one contender. They didn't even need to do that. He could have just done it. So I think they're in lies an issue there where you do open that door where legit anybody could have won. I think just to put to put a to put a bow on it, I think the vision for Keith Lee, at least what I see down the road is wardlow picks up TNT title. Wardlow may be fights another big dude for a little bit. Maybe just I'm pulling names out. I'm not saying this is gonna happen, but maybe lucius with Christian cage, maybe. Oh, yeah. I love it. The heel luchasaurus gear was oh that was legit. It was like canis sours. Way better than Kane. But you have that, right? So maybe wardlow cooks that for a little bit. Keith Lee, I think eventually does a little program with powerhouse Hobbs, right? Where Ricky Starks is also going to do one with swerve. And then Warren Lowe can be like, I beat everybody. I'm just kicking ass. I even beat this big dude. Who the fuck matches up with me? I'm wardlow. I'm just kicking ass. Keith Lee walks in. Yeah. I think that's your program right there. And I think they might boo Keith Lee. And I even think you can even work that into an angle where maybe Keith Lee and powerhouse obs are somehow going for a number one contender spot. That would be good. Right? There's a lot. I almost see, I almost see in AEW sense and especially if we go by the logic of, let's focus primarily on the promotion that we have. I see way more momentum for powerhouse Hobbs and CM Punk than I do for Keith Lee and CM Punk. I mean, if you want to keep it a buck, shall see. If Hobbes and Lee were to wrestle, I think people would actually be torn on who should win that match. Yeah, Hobbes is a weird heel right now. I mean, I think he's a really good heal. Right? Yeah, but he's kind of likeable. You see a social media like all the kids like they wear the overalls now and he signs them for him. I'd be a baby face. Like quite easy. Though, we could be reading this all wrong. It could be he could have done it. It could be swerving Keith Lee in a few. I mean, I think.

"But I think it's going to be a very successful show and it's on top of the big shows we already do. So I believe we'll have another record breaking year on pay per view because we've got already off to a huge start revolution the biggest we've ever had for revolution. It's gone up. Year over year over year and we started out with a great show and had another awesome revolution this year that I felt lived up to the billing and lived up to how we started revolution, which I think it started out one of the best wrestling shows we've ever done and then to do it this year and have again revolution 22 live up to that standard and also set our pay per view record there. I think it was awesome and I think we can keep it going and so I think CM Punk's been a great investment for us time and time again. But I was I was surprised Eric said that. I didn't know Booker T said that about forbidden door, but you know, whatever he thinks he's definitely entitled to stay his opinions and I have no problem with that. Want to talk about wardlow real quick. We started AW had the four pillars, right? Wardlow a lot of us saw and I don't think I don't want to say we didn't see the potential. What we saw were low with MJF. This guy has become a star. Did you foresee the progression of wardlow? I mean, what I want to know is how much have you had a hand in this presentation with a security coming out? I mean, everything's been brilliant with war low. How hands on have you been with this? I've been hands on, but it's a lot of people's ideas and there's been people backstage that have really good ideas and I put them in format and I decide what ends up in the format and where it goes in the show and how long they have to get out to the ring and how much time is left in the show. And when we go to break and things like that, but I have a lot of great people who come up with ideas and I'm fortunate to have some smart people that I and then I get to pick which are the best ideas and where are you doing and which week and how so I've been I'm very hands on every aspect of the show every minute of the show ever really every second because we break things down shorter because you know it doesn't always take somebody a minute in an interview. It could be shorter than that. Sometimes people make their point in 37 seconds or sometimes it only takes somebody 42 seconds of the ramp short. It only takes 46 seconds to get to the ring or whatever. So it just depends, but we're pretty hands on and from the beginning of the show, the opening credits, which is less than 30 seconds and from then on, we have to track it because we only get that two hours and a certain amount of it has to be commercial breaks and it's not it's a finite amount and those are not flexible. You can put them at different times in the show and that's some of, you know, trying to do it and people don't understand, but you in dynamite, you know, it's a ten segment show, so you have to have 9 commercial breaks. Right. And with rampage, it's a 6 segment show. So with the ten segments, 9 breaks in dynamite, 6 segments, 5 commercial breaks and rampage, the first break in rampage is always the short 92nd. Picture in pictures, split screen. But a format that has worked really well for us and I think his star power is huge and I really like wardlow and I think he's been awesome here from the beginning and the way he's come into his own from where he started. I think it's really impressive. And he's always, he's always delivered everything we asked for him, but I think he's become a much more complete wrestler since we started. I mean, does it feel like he's like now the 5th pillar? I mean, you had the four, but he feels like an AW product that is really risen to prominence, and the crowd response is insane for him now. Yeah, he's a huge part. I mean, from the beginning, he's been a big part. I think he is a big part of the foundation. And so he's certainly a foundation of AW and he has been awesome all along, but like I said, I think he's come really far and is. A really good prospect at the beginning and it's like that really great prospect. You watch him grow into what you hope they might become and even more and I think that's him. I mean, he's going to be one of those guys. I mean, not for you, but for us is hard to keep him out of the title picture at some point because he's so he's such a star. Another person though is hook, who is been tremendous, but I think I want to compliment you. I think you've done a great job with the hook as far as not overexposing him. Did you understand what you needed to do with her? He's on the buy in for the people that are watching the show. But everybody's bought in on hook thus far and it's like you slow play this purposefully. Well, he's got a lot of interest and I think the idea was to build demand to see hook and then once people saw him, they want to see more and more of them. And I think we built a lot of interest in him and his presentation is tremendous his instincts are tremendous. And that's AW, a lot of freedom to try and present yourself and present ideas to me and the people around me to try and get them into the show and then I can try to make decisions about who can wrestle when, who wrestles who and what show it's on. And then I think he has shown up with ideas. He's shown up most importantly in delivered in the ring. Time after time and again. And the fans had been interested in him because he'd been on TV and he's a very charismatic good-looking kid, but he had not talked. I don't think it hurt that he was taz's son, but I think if he had just been taz's son, he wasn't this really charismatic, interesting looking person who carried himself such an interesting way. And frankly, he had been protected to some extent for a while. Then I think he would have had a great chance, but he might not have had the immediate following he did where there was huge demand to see him in the ring and all these things, I think, came together, but most importantly of all, I think that the thing that I hope I don't get aggregated and they leave out this part.

"Three chord stars. I think foreshadowing for the rest of it. I didn't think there was a classic match on this card. I thought it was a really, really, really, really, really, really good car. But my bar is high. Yeah. 5 star matches was buck's lucha Lucia bro was in the cage. That's a classic. This had got like 8 stars by him though. Yeah. But I'm saying, you got to get your little egregious. But I thought this was really good. There's nothing wrong with it. I'm not saying it was a bad match. It's a good match. Four three quarters? I don't agree with it. I thought Mel said rated a lot of stuff in this car. Really, really high. But I thought this was really good. Second thing, looks like we're free in LAX. The following night, Jericho comes and joins with two. Danny Garcia, who's great, by the way. I think he needed somebody like Jericho around him to elevate him. Because Sammy got that rub, Danny's bouts and getting but now LAX is, we Kingston, where they should have been in the first place. All the time. I loved it. But now we got to push them. Oh, I think they're going to get pushed. They're in the right place. And we got to push them. That could be a trio. Oh my God, the violence with LAX and 80 Kingston? Three belts, three. Take you back to a belt. Three belts. Shout out to just an ivy. Take it back to impact. And then, not yet, I thought that match was good. Probably not 4.75. It was like a, I don't even know if it was far. It was just a great story. I mean, I gave it a minus, right? When I report card. It was great storytelling. Yeah. It made me care. Yep, during a match. And he made him tap. Yeah, and I zone out a lot during dynamite and everything else. I have the fast forward button to get through a lot of it. So I didn't really buy into all the buildup and everything. The match made me care. Eddie Kingston picks up a mic. Listen, yeah. Yeah. Watch TV. And then Jurassic express versus red dragon and the Young Bucks. Those Jurassic express was winning this match. You did. But you see why though, right? Yeah, it furthers a different storyline. Neither of those teams need the title yet. I just don't need the title on Jurassic express. I'm fine. I'm fine with it. They're not going to hold it for a long time. It's been a lot. Esme that long. But this has got to be it. This match was structured in a way that jungle boy and luchasaurus looked incredible in this match individually. There was that, what was that spot? Where jungle boy, it was a Rana as German suplex. It was something wild. Like jungle boy showed out. And luchasaurus showed up and you knew red dragon and you knew what Young Bucks were going to do. So I thought this match was very well handled. It ended the right way. I think lucha jungle boy and lucius, I mean, they may lose a double or nothing. But they didn't need to lose either of these teams because they got a different story to tell that doesn't require bills. Yeah. And if anything, like, again, like you said, we know what the Young Bucks could do. We know a red dragon can do. If anything, use them to help elevate Jurassic express as a team and kind of help build them. Because ultimately, like you said, red dragon and Young Bucks, they have a whole other story that does not require belts. So if anything, give Jurassic express love and just keep coming out to Tarzan boy because that is great. That is awesome. It's such a good intro. Same thing. I thought it was a good match. But only because the grand scheme of the card when I was watching, it didn't make me feel like it was like super long. But when I look back, I was like, yo, this card is going forever, so I may not have needed 19 minutes for them to get all those spots in, but I really like the match as well. Next match wardlow. Let's face the revolution ladder match. So wardlow, Christian, Keith Lee, orange Cassidy. Hobbes and Ricky Starks. Wardlow, Keith Lee, powerhouse Hobbs, staring at each other down. You know what that means in honor of biggie? Big meaty man slapping me. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But you know the star of the smash was? Orange Cassidy? Yeah. Orange is great. He's incredible. The spot where he has the latter and they lift up the ladder, and he was like, he thinks about it and he's like, I'm gonna pull myself up and get the brass ring. That was great. Keith Lee almost killed him. Yeah, that ring, that brass ring is ridiculous. It is really, but now it's such a joke that you might as well leave there. At this point, you gotta buy into it. "Well, with the college schedule, it was a big it was a big challenge because all the teams played until the 12th. So our number one challenge was, you know, in the previous year, we had 7 days to be together and kind of picked the team. This year we had we had two and a half days. And we went from 32 to 25. So it was short, you know, and it really made as a coach. You're trying to get in your identity. You know, in that in those 5 practices, but you also have to find a way to evaluate guys. So we could make some good decisions. You know, I think the other challenge about the bubble and being in the 15th is just losing players. You know, we lost some pretty good player in Thomas wardlow. And I can tell you we lost a couple of guys last year, one being portable. It's just it's frustrating because it's the protocol for the tournament. It's hard to understand. And it's hard to make a family like Thomas understand that Ken Johnson tested positive four days earlier. He's able to be in the tournament. You know, Thomas bordello, you tested positive four days later. You can't be in the tournament. And that's the struggle with, you know, being in a bubble on the 15th and trying to understand that. You know, you mentioned bored alone and last year and I've got them in my notes two years in a row and I've got a check beside him two years in a role that poor kid can't play either time. How has he been able, what have you been able to see in talking to him? Like, how does he get, how does he bury the disappointment of this? I mean, he will, but I mean, that's the human side, all of this. Well, first of all, I think it speaks volumes to Thomas about what he did last year after the disappointment. He was rookie of the year and NCA hockey. And he turned a negative situation into a little bit of a chip on his shoulder and a driver and he kind of put it into another level and had a tremendous season. You know, knowing from what I know from Thomas, I can't do the same. And I wouldn't be surprised if he's a top 5 player in college hockey in.

"Our world is full of the unexplainable, and if history is an open book, all of these amazing tales are right there on display. Just waiting for us to explore. Welcome. To the cabinet of curiosities. Declaring war on the United States is no small action. It means intending to fight the most powerful military force in the world. In 1989, the U.S. invaded Panama after president Bush senior mistook the country's declaration as a serious threat. The situation lasted just over a month, but by the end the invasion had killed between 300 and a thousand panamanians and destroyed tens of thousands of homes. Looking back on the devastation, it's clear to see why so few have tried to go up against America. Well, one nation learned that lesson the hard way when it seceded and then swiftly declared war on an enemy, it was grossly underpowered to face. It was called the conch republic, and it was formed in 1982. The small island had been known as kaya hoso, a U.S. territory, and boasted a population of 24,000 people from all over the world. Germans, Cubans, and Irish travelers, among others, had settled on the island over the years, turning it into quite the melting pot. The United States had set up a military checkpoint on the island that year, inspecting cars for drugs and signs of human trafficking operations. Those on the island were not pleased by the interference to their day to today lives, nor were the tourists who flocked there to kick back and relax. The checkpoints caused massive traffic jams as long as 17 miles, people getting around the island couldn't do so easily without having their vehicles stopped and searched. As a result of the intrusion, many would be visitors chosen said to go to nearby locations not under U.S. occupation. They canceled their reservations, opting instead for vacations where they could travel without harassment. The city council tried to get the checkpoints removed by filing an injunction against the U.S. government in federal court. But the case was dismissed. There was a drug problem in the United States, and it was believed that the key to ending it live and verifying the contents of each car passing through kaiju. While the island's mayor, Dennis wardlow couldn't take it anymore. A certain word kept cropping up in meetings between the mayor and his advisers, and one day it seemed like it might be the best way forward. That word? Secession if the United States was going to treat the island like a foreign country, then it would have to behave like one, too. So on April 23rd of 1982, the time had come for Kayo hoes so to separate from the United States. It was officially renamed to the conch republic, named for the slang term used to describe the many bahamians living on the island who had come from European descent. Mayor wardlow had suddenly become the prime minister, and among his first actions as the head of a new nation, he declared war on America. However, he did it in the most unusual way by cracking a loaf of Cuban bread over the head of someone wearing a U.S. Navy uniform. It didn't take long for wardlow to realize he was in over his head, though, and surrendered one minute after declaring independence of the conch republic. He then asked the United States for a $1 billion in foreign aid. So why isn't the conch republic found not any maps? Because its original name, kyo hoso is Spanish for Key West. The island that's technically part of Florida. The secession wasn't real. It had been nothing more than a noisy publicity stunt to send a message to the U.S. government about its obtrusive checkpoints. And they listened. Shortly after the conch republic rejoined America, the checkpoints were shut down and tourism to the island boomed. But peace was never permanent. For example, in 1995, when the U.S. Army reserve sent a battalion to Key West for a training exercise, cock officials were never alerted in response, mayor wardlow ordered a schooner to pelt a coast guard vessel with stale Cuban bread, and water balloons. The active aggression was met with equal force by the U.S. coast guard who turned their fire hoses on the attacking ship, bringing the fight to an abrupt end. The city of Key West contacted the Department of Defense and complained about their lack of notice about the exercise. The Department of Defense sent an apology and accepted the conch republic's so called surrender a few days later. Today, the conch republic is still going strong that has its own navy, advertised as the largest sale propelled navy in the world, and it hosts several events in April as part of its Independence Day celebration. It just goes to show that making a big public protest about something can often get results. And sometimes all it takes is a declaration of war on the United States. Very much on this mindset of this thought. The idea of the book is how to sell your business. But what I loved about it was more like how to create a business that is sellable. And that's more important. How to create a franchise type business, which any business in the world could be that you can get out of. You can stay until it just makes it easier so anyway, just book recommendation of everyone built the sell by John wardlow, really good. Anyway, David, what are you going to say on that? What I was saying is if you discipline yourself to consider that any endeavor you take on, you're going to have to franchise it. It would really, really tighten up the way that you do run your business. There's always in my head what I experience in life is there's this struggle between it's faster if I do it myself and it's better if I get someone else to do it. And it takes discipline to build a system that somebody else can execute, and that's why very few of us do it. But as you become successful, which is the goal, like what Billy's learning now that he has 22 units, I'm sure, is the fast way I'll go do it myself. Leaves you spending 16 hours a day running as fast as you can to do everything and then you hate what you earn. So you accomplish your goal, you're like finally, and then you wish you wouldn't have had it. It's that wolf by the ears thing. I can't let it go because it's gonna bite me, but I also, I'm safe if I just keep doing it myself. You've got actual terrorists extra murderers on social media. But somehow president trump was just a step too far for twitter facebook and youtube google. That is one of their biggest issues. Legally i believe and then they have been so partial and so inconsistent how they deal with actual bad actors like the ones i listed from iran china's on and so forth and an american president the forty fifth and hopefully forty-sevens president and president trump's. I think this lawsuit has a ton of merit and it's got a ton of punch against these social media companies. Do you agree jason. I agree big time and i. I hope that the courts have really starting to push back on big media and big tech and some of these recent decisions. I hope they take a long look at this. Well, Republicans have been skeptical of Hollywood's involvement in politics, President Trump and former President Reagan were involved in the entertainment industry before they entered politics.
