"Ezekiel Chapter Eleven versus eighteen to twenty. When they come there. They were removed from it all it's detestable things and all its abominations. And I will give them one heart. And a new spirit I will put within them. I'll remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh. That they may walk in my statutes, keep my rules obey them. And they shall be my people and I will be their God. These, these verses are like. Drinking Water in a desert when it comes to reading through Zeki Lange's seeing God's. Just and righteous judgment upon sin and idolatry and immorality among his people. And yet in the middle of chapter eleven here we see this promise. That God is even in his discipline, God is accomplishing purpose and will one day restore his people to himself remove these detestable things and abominations for among them. Then, we'll have a new spirit in them. Remove the heart of stone. God says removed from their flesh I'll give them a heart of flesh that they may walk in my. Keep my rules and obey them. They shall be my people I will be their God. Now, this is one of couple of places in Ezekiel or we see prophecy. Promises of the new covenant. which by the way is what tested means Covenant between God and his people that Jesus would make possible as we get into the New Testament of the Bible. and. The book of Ezekiel in the sense especially as we read about judgment after judgment after judgment from God. Is a clear reminder. That we need God to do what we cannot do ourselves. We need. God to save us from our sins. Forgive US cleanse us from our sins. We need God to give some new spirit. Put a new spirit in us that enables us to walk in his statutes, keep his rules and obey them. We can't do that on our own where we got to be so careful. As followers of Jesus says those who've trusted in Jesus not to live like we can obey God's statutes and rules walk in his ways in our flesh on our own we need his spirit inside of us. Leading, guiding, directing, helping, empowering us to live according the life he's call to, and that's exactly what the spirit of God is. Four. So I just want to encourage your Dan WanNa pray accordingly that you would not live today in the flesh meaning in your own attempts to say God into do what he has called us to do but the you and live in the power of the spirit of God in you who enables you to walk in God's statutes and keep his rules and obey them that you. Re-motivation of the De-motivated Employee Drs. Cathy Bush & Tara Peters - burst 15
"When you are built to like structure or your mission requires I think healthcare right there a lot of rules for safety life and death reason. So we need structured. So when we're built like that fits the work, then it makes sense then we can do it right but boy, if you're a person who's open and creative and you want to. Be. Right. Brain you want to innovate. You don't need a stinking us. You can go for a bike ride and the grass into your job if that's who you are and that's not the kind of workplace you work the you need other sources of motivation because you're you're kind of going through the motions. On this particular culture situation but not everybody likes that either right. So there are people who are not built for that sort of no structure. No rules you know whatever you come up with his okay with sort of environment, and so it's about mismatch as Tara said and understand when there's a mismatch and then helping person. Find the best opportunity to thrive and grow in the place that they're in or finding their way to a place. It's some better. Sometimes that's inside the company sometimes that's. A mutual agreement that was not a good fit yeah. So Tar you talk you also talk you guys talk about in the four categories of organizational culture where we this is the Cameron and Quinn I think twenty eleven. you talk about the marketplace and when I talk about market we're talking. And because I have so many people from the mortgage industry to listening right now watching mortgage industry residential real estate sales industry. That's the market. Area and dig it motivated by production goals and out. Is this something. I'm as I'm as I'm doing this shooting from the hip here I'm sorry. But I'm starting to think through this and say you know maybe you people need to pay attention to these things a little bit closer because. If you'd say you want to everybody wants a real estate right now. And I just find it funny because I'm like going. If the D. motivation pieces that you talk about a production goals and burnt out. So let's talk about the market because WANNA be mortgage lenders, real estate people, and sales people. Right. Now. I mean. So here's the thing. All of these cultures that we talk about had Patsy J. motivate. In some some some way. So so what becomes important I think as as a as a leader is to attend to it. So if I know that again, it's just it's just the nature of the beast, right? It is a highly competitive environment is productivity driven. We need certain outcomes. That's how is how we eat is how we make our manny. So we understand that, but then I also have to recognize as a as a leader is okay. How do I then try to balance that against the downside of this rifle people are peddling relatively hard working really really long hours that over an extended period of time can lead to to burn out what are the kinds of things that I can help to counterbalance at. So for example, cannot give people more control. In Flexibility Their schedule maybe that becomes an option that I make available to employees. So for our purposes we really want you to take a look at your culture as a whole. It say, okay. Even if we have had a successful culture in the past, we don't maintain that accidentally I mean there are things that you high as leaders that we need to make sure that we are doing to ensure that a good thing doesn't go awry. In so I think paying attention and they prepared to make accommodations or changes as appropriate I think really becomes the comes necessary out if it leaders are going to help employees to continue to be standards Antigen maintain the culture that allowed the organization to to thrive. That's awesome. By the way we're talking with Dr Doctor Tar Peters Dot Kathy. Bush books called demotivate employees, It's fabulous read by the way it's it's not a long re but man, it is GM packed full of great information for you whether
The Future Of IVF with Dr. Zaher Merhi
"So My name is Dr Marie? Reproductive endocrinology further specialist. My is in Manhattan on Columbus Circle. The practice is called new hope for not center I. Am a father of two boys. Ryan is fifteen years old going through puberty and Adam is eleven years old and I love my boys and my dot com will be he's my favorite history years old any sleeps with me every night I literally feel like we're just gonNA continue a sentence from from before. So we were talking about all your. Treatments in all the different things that you can experience while you're having your IV thing that sounds like somewhat not want to call it a SPA treatment but there it just sounds. Nice. Amazing this it is treated. You know it's funny to warding job honestly, and I really love my job and a lot of time I get attached to my patients because you're helping them have a baby and you know I get Christmas cards every year and saying, Oh thank you give me a baby. What kind of you know it's it's really happiness I cannot explain and actually they send pictures of the kids and the children and I put them on the wall and my house. So I have a wall full of pictures of the baby, the baby's. Saying So let's go back because I. think part of this conversation was really like I the F. One. Oh one if you've ever been curious if you've ever thought about it if you've ever been, you know sort of confused about what it entailed. We really covered all the details. So those of you listening who are still curious about that providence to go listen to part one of this conversation part two is going to be more of like you. I mean, you're just so knowledge what everything. More of the cutting edge stuff because I think that that's really what your outfit specializes in and is so prized for is that you really are on this cutting edge of what does it mean to be able to bring Tila to a challenging situations and to do it in a really as noninvasive way as possible, which is actually fascinating Lee sometimes with better results. So I guess we got cut off at noninvasive chromosomal screening is that right? Am I like looking at this? Okay. Then noninvasive chromosomes screening our next is the following. Let's say Daphne has three boys and now she wants to have a car. And now she comes to my office and tell me Dr Marie I WanNa have a boy now are we gonNa do is we're going to do something called IVF. We suck the ads at your husband's sperm, and then we make embryos right sperm and egg may can embryo it takes down a week to make an embryo Now, a days in the last few years more and more centers are testing the embryos not just for the gender also chromosomal screening. You don't want to worry about having a down syndrome baby and then I'm Houston later on or have a miscarriage and then was centers. Do they take a piece of your embryo and then freeze the embryo and test this piece for the chromosome because it's coming from the embryo? We don't do that with the Knicks are noninvasive chromosome screening. We take the fluid at your embryo where it's growing. Just. A fluid water and with that fluid for the end without taking off your angrier. We're only has this technology and I can tell you a lot of people come to us because they were like you know I don't know if the biopsy off Ambrose rain debut and I don't want south sticking out of my my future baby you know they can out to be tested. So that's that's the knicks or none of his of chromosomes I can tell you I love it because it doesn't put on your embryo if you see how an embassy biopsies down the stretch like this and the Pum, a piece of snaps out. It's a little bit aggressive. So the next I think presents a lot of things and then you can also for tomorrow and you can have your boy if you want just journalists election. Yeah. Fascinating because the the a when it's growing remember we put it in a culture dish and over the week after we had the sperm and egg over the growth of. The DNA is thrown in that fluid. So that's how we do it. So that's I think is cutting edge technology reverted proud to have it at new hope fertility center. Why is it only you guys that have this technology you know other centers have done it for research and stuff, but I did not get a good result when we started this technology. I can tell you my secret sauce by the way to have fun. Waiting. But before we offered the to patients, you have to test it. Right. You have to do on the same embryo both technologies the old one and the fluid L. We got ninety nine point nine percent correlation other places they got sixty, eighty percent Max, and so it's the the lab hasn't really got the as good results if I wanNA, say that's Why it's not. So we have great technology. We have great lab, and that's why we have a thousand nine point nine percent correlation between both understood and has a nice. So we talked before about the Needle Free Ivf, we're you take pills instead of injections, correct pills and patches and everything. Correct. There's no patches. This fills by mouth by GINA NASAL spray. Spray interesting correct. Is it just as effective show? We have to be very careful because if someone is young and they have a lot of eggs, it's not it's less effective. Why because? The shots are more aggressive food for the eggs and younger patients have lot of eggs to feed. So they need more food. So the pills is not enough they need addition to shots but women thirty five years, and above it's as effective as the old conventional where patients plenty of shots That's so interesting and I told you I have a patient and Amazon me she wants to talk about experience about the. Home Ivf because she get, we sent to the house no shots just spilt and nasal spray and that we got a lot of eggs as she made four embryos and that's that's a lot I mean it's this is favor good. So yeah it's effective and then how long can you freeze embryos for twenty five years? So it's good and bad guy, and this is great question. Let me tell you why it's good and. It's bad. It's good because nowadays, some countries by some doctors are struggling with Beijing let's say you come to me ten years ago you've eggs and you at forty now you come to me after ten years. Now you're fifty years old and you. WanNa get pregnant with my own exodus froze ten years ago. Some doctors have issues with that because now they think well, what if something happens to you now you have diabetes and you know so we're GonNa be stuck in situations where actually have a patient I was doing a patient from Norway she froze her ex in Copenhagen ten fifteen years ago. Now she's fifty one and they said we cannot use your eggs because getting you're pregnant at this age is dangerous. But, that exactly so I mean I love the fact that twenty five years but also. Having Siblings Twenty five years apart. This we it. Let's say you do IV after they get pregnant and twenty five years. Oh, my my my brother is. So. There's a lot of things but last last part which is. The great thing about freezing for twenty five years is that there is a lot of abandoned embryos what am I gonNa do with them right. I mean some clinics in this country has adult fourteen percent of the embryos abandoned coupled who left Leftover Embryos And are gone and they're not being the freezing fees because they finish this they finished family. So that's why when you go back to the conventional idea when you tell me, I get tons of eggs but guess what kinds of embryos to that you're GonNa be stuck with for live. So I won't vicious the thing that, yes home ivf or gentle IVF or neither free IVF. It's good effective at your to be stuck situation where you're going to be freezing fees for twenty five years for embryos that you might not need. Right. A lot of my consultations are bishops will finish their family and they just WanNa talk to me about what to do that embryo and I don't know what to say, what are the different options, throw it out, give it to another couple or give it twenty such but
The Adult Toys From Dodge
"This week's project. Car of the week is actually a van and I'm starting to think I should just call this segment. Mo- par project of the week just because. You know I picked more than just cars for the segment. So be ready for that change. I'm trying to be a little bit more diverse with the Mo parts that I choose for this segment because I do like mo parts from all areas and all types of Mo- parts and I think that good moped projects aren't just cars sometimes their trucks, and since I'm on a van kick this week was a van and Let, me say that I actually set out to find van for this week's project. There was just one issue there aren't very many out there. So let's read the ad and then we'll talk some more about vans and why they can make cool projects. The van featured on this edition of Mo- Project of the week was posted on the Mo- part hundred facebook page on Sunday September sixth at nine. AM HERE IS THE AD. Van Three Thousand Nine, hundred, ninety, five, dollars, nineteen seventy five, dodge tradesman shorty three Eighteen v eight auto runs drives and stops pretty well for a forty five year old van. If you've been looking for one of these, this is one to consider not showroom ready. But great start to a street machine serious inquiries only please three, thousand, nine, hundred, ninety, five dollars, or best offer title status is clean. So. This ban is a short wheelbase van, which for these is one hundred, nine inches compared to the longer versions that one, hundred, twenty, seven inches the van that I wanna buy from Stacey is a hundred, twenty, seven inches for wheelbase. So it's longer than my dad's was since my dad's was a like this van the one in this ad is to tone it has a light blue base with a thick. Dark blue striped mid body in a dark blue roof. It has a windshield visor which is very buggy vanish and it has my favorite bubble windows of all time. The PENTASTAR portholes they are super rare and I'd love to hunt down a set for my future van project. But if stacy's van ends up being mind, then I'll just settle for the round portholes unless I can find. Those awesome. Pentastar. Wants this van. Also has a grant wood grain steering wheel, which adds to that nostalgic feeling along with that pop up Sunroof, and it looks like at one point back was done up like seventies custom but right now it's pretty bare, which is great. Because most of the time when you find these vans, the cargo area usually needs to be redone. These old buggy vans had all shag carpet and cabinets put in Old Saints and. Things like that. So chances are if you find one of these, it'll probably need new carpet and things like that. This one actually has a plywood floor and looking around it actually looks like the van was originally read. The good news is that it will be easy to strip the cargo area and get creative to create your own space. I. Like the idea of a modern version of a classic book Van Something. Creative enough that you can go to shows and show it off. But you can also go camping, and if you're the nomad life, you can hit the road and live that van life but it would also be cool to get this thing capable of hauling a race car that way you have a place to store your tools, parts, extra tires, and have a place to stay at the track instead of. A ten I really liked that idea for me I like all those possibilities but the possibility of having a mobile podcast studio when I go to events would be really cool and if I bring merch with me, it would make a great display for the Merch to this thing has a three eighteen. It's running and driving and hey, it stops too. So that's always nice I like projects that you can. Drive home and this thing is you know that type of a project, it even has some pin striping on the hood, which is cool because it's kind of like a throwback. It does need some new wheels and tires and some fifteen by ten on fats in the back and some fifteen by eight in the front would give this thing that groovy raked stance that was so popular with these vans back. In the day I, think that this van is also in desperate need of a front lip spoiler and the fender flares, which you can surprisingly still find if you look hard enough online but all in all, I'd say if you were interested in getting a Boogie van for a project for less than four grant, I think this one is a great candidate I actually did reach out to the seller just to. Feel the water and see what the temperature was like and it sounds like he's pretty firm with not much wiggle room. But he said that thirty five, hundred to the right person would take it home. WanNa know what I offered him. But that's a whole nother story since these vans are hard to find think he's in the ballpark the side doors do have a little damage and there's definitely some work probably needs to be done but overall, it appears to be pretty solid. So if you're looking to get back into fanning and relive your youth or even if you're a rookie banner, this would make a fun project keep on Truckin my friends that was Mo- part project of the week Nomo par left behind. Since we're on the topic of vans. This week's high-performance part belongs to a custom Shorty Dodge van and the two thousand, fifteen movie American ultra and because I suck at explaining movies, I finally come to the realization that from now on I think I'm just GonNa read the Synopsis Straight from Rotten Tomatoes. So here is the synopsis for American Ultra. Tomatoes. American ultra is a fast paced action comedy about Mike Played by Jesse Eisenberg, a seemingly hapless and unmotivated donor who's small town life with his live in girlfriend phoebe played by Kristen Stewart is suddenly turned upside down unbeknownst to him. Mike is actually a highly trained lethal sleeper agent in the blink of an eye as a secret past comes back to haunt him. Mike is Thrust into the middle of deadly government operation and is forced to summon his. Interaction hero in order to survive. Now, where does this sweet Boogie van come in well about seventeen minutes and thirty seconds into the movie Eisenberg's character Mike Meets up with his drug dealer rose played by John Leguizamo to buy illegal fireworks. The show he wants to put on for when he proposes to phoebe Rachel Rolls Up to the meeting spot in one thousand, nine, hundred, ninety, four to nineteen, seventy, six, dodge short van with a wild paint scheme which. To me looks like a vinyl rap, but
Algorithm question complicates TikTok sale
"Detox for Tiktok. US operations have had a bit of a snag or maybe a an entire roadblock. This is all because of China's crackdown on its tech export rules which were announced last Friday a New Wall Street Journal reporter shows. that. The issue is that the APPS core algorithms and whether they can actually be included as part of a deal. Those algorithms determine which video served to users and the report from the Journal. Says that potential buyers consider that formula a large part of the value of Tiktok and it's still unclear whether China's government would have to sign off on that part of the. Sale guys this is another situation where the president trump has been ramping up his talks about how dead set he is on on his side of things and the Chinese government I obviously ramping up its side too. So I I think this may be more than just a snag even aside from this snags arise from this between the US and Chinese. Governments. You also have a question why bite daunted WanNa take only twenty, thirty billion. If all of that IP moves across to and and the bio or whether it's Microsoft someone else can use it to expand into all sorts of of other areas. If that's the case and true value comes with this machine learning algorithm and all and all the rest of it. Then twenty to thirty billion it doesn't seem like a fair price even if that buying twenty to thirty percent of the geographic reach of Tiktok Cartland tiktok is worth one, hundred billion or so. So it is a, it is a kind of tough one and the same time you would see that Microsoft might know ventured if they didn't get that. And that brings you back to a point where maybe by is better off not selling this as painful as it would be to see its US business, which is really a big part of its business shut down altogether they kind of a much higher price to sell everything or or not sell anything at all if you think of it that way. Or there's well, there's a third option. That is invaluable. because. There's obviously something in the AI that China may be afraid could get out there and the US hands or they don't want simple US companies to have that kind of technology as well. Remember you know people may be wondering why we're spending so much time talking about a short video format APP that's not it tick talks power not in the dancing the cats the combination of the two it's in the AI powered algorithms that enable them to basically say if you like this, you're gonna like that but the artificial intelligence appears to have maybe a lot more value than twenty or thirty billion at least to the Chinese government.
A look at Gladys Bentley, American blues singer
"Before we get started as we normally do at the start of a person's life I'm going to jump in when gladys was forty five years old in the year nineteen, fifty, two revolutionnaire. Arcada. Their time travel is upset. Yes. Heavens the reason why jumping in he is because nine fifty two is the at that one amount main sources was written and I want to talk about that. Source. Pot, Abou- review before we actually. Talk about that. So in the nineteen forties and nineteen fifties in the USA politicians like Senator Joe McCarthy was spearheading moral and political panicked about queer people in the understanding that we who are not only immoral but also susceptible to blackmail and therefore more likely to become communist spies. Goddess Bentley had built her career on being an openly queer and gender non conforming blues performer in nineteen, Fifty, two in. The African American magazine Ebony, she write an article titled. I'm a woman again in which she talks very late at queasiness before renouncing it and championing heterosexuality and Hetero normativity. In this article, she says, I became a woman again when I discovered unaccepted the one glorious thing which for so many years I had bitterly fought with all my heart mind and body the law of antennas, the devotion of a man. I thought it was kind of Jesus. Is, the man Jesus, the matters not Jesus She did definitely become more involved with her church later in her life, but she doesn't necessarily link that to her. Queens. So like Jesus here but only incidentally. Background character. Incidental Jesus is my Christian rock band. Do you come across. Do. Christian covers rock songs. Both I anyway. What happened YOU CLAP We'll talk a lot more about the background to this article and what was happening in life at that time. When we get to that I, think the sort of political background McCarthyism is. Hardly the main you need to know that, and the reason that I wanted to bring this up and mentioned at the start is because this article is the only information we have about Gladys inhering voice. Well, that's quite a pickle. It is quite a pickle that we are. And it's also the only source of information we have about her childhood before she was about twenty one. Okay. So that's that most by graphical information comes from what can be gleaned from newspaper is nobody's ever written a biography. All Gladys on the work of like interviewing people who knew anything like that is that is something that could still be done. Do you think she was born in nineteen ninety seven so like a lot of people anyone who knew her in her early life is GonNa be dead. Yeah. But from headlight alive that would probably still be some still alive could talk about her bought definitely have to be done pretty soon. I'm not aware of anyone working on unfortunately, but hopefully, someone is yeah. So I just wanted to raise that heavy keep in mind that that's the source of wealth with before we start talking about glass at life. So I got us was born in Philadelphia on the twelfth of August nine, hundred seven to George and Mary Bentley. She was the oldest of four siblings in a black working class family according to Gladys's article in Ebony Mary had wanted a son and she was very disappointed when she had a door refusing much as tasha child on Nessa Child. Gladys. Intern says she always felt repulsed by men including her father brothers and uncles and she says. I suppose the reason was that they will admire while I was scorned from ninety nine or ten. She began to steal her brothers choirs at first to feel she was getting even with them but then I began feel more comfortable in boys quarries than dresses have parents teachers objected to gladys as masculine dress. The gladys was obstinate and she and her parents eventually reached a compromise by gladys wear what's called a meaty blouse. So that's what you'd pictures like kind attritional Salas like a navy ship and she went out with a skirt during elementary school gladdest about to crush on a female teachers she tells us in Class I sat the hours watching her and. Wondering, why I was so attracted to at night I dreamed I didn't understand the meaning of those dreams until later. I. WanNA mention this because it's got his first experience of being attracted to a woman that we know about and also just think it gives you a bit of an idea of how in her article the Ebony she does talk openly about like being que- and being attracted to women and wanting to present in a masculine way and these kinds of things like she doesn't deny that this is an aspect then renounces it and decides that Hetero. normativity is better suicide angle on this that she used to feel this way but she has stopped. Or the she feels this way but has decided that that's not any good. I tell you. It's more than she used to feel this way but has stopped. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. It's hard to say because she does sort of talk about talk about there are other people who have the same who had the same experiences in she refers to those groups like she uses like way if she's talking about painting society and she's still kind of identifies with those groups. But at the same time, she says as things like I've become a woman again now I love man I'm able to Vin into this female role Besse so I'm interested to hear how gender and sexuality. Interacting glasses life. Easier we go through what I was saying I've become a woman again. that. Yeah. I really interested to hear your thoughts on that. I, don't really nine because we have so little in gladys invoice except this. Has a lot of a lot about the stuff going on and influence why she write this article. It's hard to say how gladys feels about gender, but we will talk about Nemo. As. Gladys grew older cy when she was a teenager, her mother thought taking doctors. She doesn't explicitly tell us in Ebony article the reason for this but it's apparent that it was connected to fairly to perform femininity in the way that was expected of him. Gladys tells us she believes parents meant well botched quite what my family did not know was that. I didn't need a doctor, but love's affection and healthy interests to supplant the malignant growth festering inside of me, and she seems to argue at this point in the article that it was the original rejection by her mother that fest push towards her gender non conforming behavior and that her parents subsequent relations attempting to force her to conform to femininity. Ireland. Encourage to.
Major Real Estate Website Now Shows Flood Risk
"D. Y. E. N., dot com slash NPR to learn more many people who lose their homes wildfires or in hurricanes did not know they were in harm's way. You can understand that this might happen. You know that the houses near the words or near the. Coast, but you don't quite realize the risk don't quite realize the extent of the danger. One major real estate site is now showing a homes flood risk along with photos of the kitchen and living room so that people will know this is one way that climate change has become a more direct part of home-buying. A long-term decision that a lot of people make our reporting from NPR's climate team starts with NPR's Rebecca Hersher. It's obvious to a lot of Americans that climate change means more flooding more than a thousand homes and businesses are flooded in the Jackson Mississippi Southern Louisiana Sixty thousand homes north. West of Omaha is still dealing with the math more than four hundred homeowners. Even, though government flood maps have been around since the seventies, there was no mention of flooding on real estate websites until today Leslie Jordan is a vice president of the website realtor dot com, which lists more than one hundred, ten, million homes. Flooding is the most common costly natural disaster in the US. So realtor DOT COM has added flood information to every listing Jordan says that's thanks in part to a new privately funded fled information project called flood factor. Matt E B. is one of the CO founders of. Flood factor which rates houses on a scale from one to ten. So if it's very likely a very deep flood, you'll get a flood factor of ten for that property. If it's very unlikely, then it'll be a flood factor one, the ratings take into account climate change particularly sea level rise and more extreme rain ev says that kind of Info has actually been out there for years. It's just that regular people haven't had access to it. A. Democratization of this information is the way that we like to think about. It because there are people who already have this information and they're already acting on it people like mortgage insurance companies and large real estate developers, some of which have fought against public flood disclosure laws. So are other real estate sites also going to add this information. Can you say We are hopeful and happy to engage in those conversations with folks and that less than specific answer made my colleague Pr's Climate Team Lauren summer wonder what is going on with the other real estate websites so she called them i. I I asked Zillow if they're thinking about publishing flood, risk their number of challenges with that, and it's something that I think sooner or later would be a great feature to include Jeff. Your Love Object
"Good morning and welcome back to morning messages. Thanks so much for joining me. I Am Care Bradley bringing you these really quick hits. These a little snippets from pockets of my mind my heart little things I've learned along the way and things I've read and and just a conversation about. About a winning, this is really about awakening and one of the things I've learned the most over these long decades of my life is that. Self love. Loving kindness. Being kind to yourself is the nectar is really the It's the medicine. That I needed. To really push forward into my personal transformation, but it also works for everybody else. It's not something I made up for sure something I have learned along the way as I continue to dive deep into my own mind body. And Soul. And today I wanNA bring you a another angle at this kindness path on this kindness path and that is. Your love object. Oh Boy, this is a fun one. I have been talking the last couple of days about being this hard ass Brooklyn girl. Hard as only grow between two brothers heart s having to be hard as entrepreneur unfortunately in running businesses especially, my yoga studio you would think a yoga studio of all things. You know you can just be all light in open and airy but no way. Having rent pay payroll to pay classes to run. I, I had a lockdown I didn't want to but I did and it really. it built up a Lotta thick. Skin. which was not good. Really not good in the end So it took me years to soften. This one in particular. This little trick I'm GonNa teach you today was a Biggie in my life and I learned this from my Meditation Teachers Scott Nancy McBride From Clear Lake Meditation. You can google them, they are amazing and they do a ton online. Okay this one is about having a love object. Help when Scott I taught it to me I was I rolled my eyes. I was like, no freak away. Can't go there Scott. Sorry. I am not that sappy. So the love object is. Someone or something in. Your. Life. That is one a pet. To. A child or baby but I'm talking childlike toddler child. Right we? WanNa think about one of the cutest things in our lives and it could be past or present. A cutie. Cutie, that makes our voice change we speak to it. Right for me, I use my dog joey. Rest his little heart. Shall we when I spoke to Joey I talk differently, my voice raised my voice got kinda sweet and syrupy. I was so kind and gentle to Joe Right. I'm even changing my voice as I speak to about him. Joe Come over here. Silly boy what do you want from me? Come on silly. And I would talk to Joey with this light syrupy voice. with, this kindness and gentleness. And I also talked to my babies that way before they could speak back to me. This is what our love object is when we can think about how we spoke and how we speak to our love objects and I love the name because it's so damn sappy. And we turn that towards ourself. Oh. Okay now here's the trick for me anyway. Give. Yourself a nickname or use the nickname you had when you were a child for me it was Mimi. So. Shedding, the dark the dark armor. An offering myself more self love. Loving kindness. With by by by talking to myself as if I am a love object which I am. Mimi come on Mimi. So, when I do something stupid and I thought my phone come on Mimi wake up hit tension Mimi. Or? Say. Something I don't mean Oh. Gosh me. It's okay. Next time be more attentive and pause before you talk. Right when I when I eat something I, know I shouldn't have eaten or eight too much your drink too much or whatever too much or do this or didn't work out or Blah Blah Blah la La la. It's que me me. Let's just give it a try better try next time. So it goes along with their their sweetheart with hand on heart you can put them all together and boom. You're GONNA have a huge loving kindness practice. Or just try one of these at a time. Go slow.
India opposition seeks probe into Facebook's ties with Modi's BJP
"Lawmakers in India WanNA question facebook about extremist posts on its platform. Several politicians there have called for a probe into the company and even suggested that facebook changed the management team at India operation. This follows a Wall Street Journal article. Last week that detailed what some facebook employees said was a pattern of favouritism toward the ruling BJP political party as well as Hindu hardliners. Here's our facebook reporter Jeff Horwitz. What our reporting found was that in a number of instances, facebook's public policy operation in India had intervened in ways that benefitted India's ruling party, the property of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And One of those examples was about publicizing election related abuses of the platform that might have been tied to the BJP a another example of it was overturning or blocking a decision by facebook safety staff that some BJP lawmakers had been engaged in some. Olic hate speech against. The community and even though these people qualified facebook's own safety staff for permanent banned from the platform, they didn't get banned because of the political fallout concerns. Jeff says it's pretty significant that lawmakers are making these kinds of calls in India in particular a couple reasons I first is India is the largest market in which facebook operates in terms of number of users in terms population. And there and remotely. Kind of widely recognized to have very adeptly used social media to build the coalition to get himself into office in the first place. So there's kind of a sense that facebook was pretty key to his rise. In fact, facebook had previously trumpeted how great it was, how successful Mr Moody had been in using the platform. So the sense that there might be potentially some bias creeping in. Was I think pretty concerning to a whole bunch of both opposition politicians and civil society sorts. "wan" Discussed on The WAN Show Podcast
"Offended by twenty five megabits per second Internet's beat you're probably not an average user. I am offended by that. That would bother me I like my fast. Internet but I'm not exactly a normal user. So we're GONNA just not the customer this right now in this exactly I would love to I would love to move out. I. Would rather be further out. I would rather have a larger place for less money. Both of those variables at the same time would be fantastic i. have no personal need to live in a big city, but I would like the entire world to be blanketed in global Internet that again becomes so good. And so I guess it's like the return on investment has been going for so long that it's paid for and that it's just a utility dollar things just have free Internet everywhere they are. I think that's on sold the dream of this way back to the beginning that got my little new nerd Boehner going someone someone who's probably from British Columbia. said I had fifty down seven with Shar just got tell us fiber one gig down dot dot dot dot dot. It's the same L. how. Well Yeah if you have gigabit, you need to use it right you need to have. Your partner watching a four K. movie in the Living Room while you're gaming in the office or have like. Large data file transfers, often kind of in and out or something like that. Like there's there's there's other things but it's usually relatively specialized use cases or it's worth it to you to spend like three times as much to get that steam game downloaded half an hour faster or something I. Don't know what actually was interesting and I wish tell us our telco here had. Called me and been like, Hey, we can do this for you but they never did was I had a lesser plan. It was it was fiber, but it was the cheapest one. It was like twenty five or something and. That had a data cap on it like there's a number of gigabytes per month that if you went over, you got an average fee and we are consistently going over because my wife is on madly and she would just listen to music all day she listen to music on Youtube. So she streaming video all day right so we keep going over and every day it's like fifteen extra month is about an extra fifteen dollars charge. So then I call them and I decided that I want to upgrade to one fifty, one, fifty, the price difference there. When you include the fact that I was getting an average every month I was paying the same I. Like Five Xt. My Internet speed. And paid the same because at this new tier of being faster, there was no limit unlimited. They just called me like, Hey, you keep going over how about we just bump you up to this. Why would they do that? Actually they did do that for me. Oh Nice. Blue Toews has been super nice to me I like I. Don't know why I think it's like every two years roughly I get a call and they're like, Hey, we're going to upgrade everything you have and you're going to pay less or the same amount and I'm like. All right. Thanks. Bye on I picked up today. That's pretty much. Yeah. That's about that's about how far it goes. It's not even like an extensive conversations usually over in like a couple of minutes later, and it's just like faster and things are maybe cheaper I don't know it's like, okay sweet. I understand that this does not seem to be a very common occurrence for most people with ISP's but my yeah, my. My Wired interconnection has been fantastic. It also just like never goes down I've been quite lucky in that department I think but moving on. To other things, you want talk with this Microsoft surface duo. Let's do it. Mixed feelings about this device. On the one hand I think it's so boring because basically it's like a Samsung Galaxy note. It's a big phone that opens. But it's way less cool than that because it's not one bendable. Oh that screen it's just it opens like a book and there's just two separate screens. So it feels not futures that at all. At the same time. It's kind of de facto as good as having one big bendable screen because when you have that big screen on on the galaxy note a lot of the time you're just dividing it into two anyway. I would always divided into personally I have I can understand why someone would want that if they're like, yeah, I wanNA watch movies on my phone or something like that. I'm not GonNa do that the reason why I would want to screens and I'm very excited for dual screen phones is that I can have like like slack or g mail on one side and able a message people about something that I'm doing on the other side that is like, yeah, always what I'm GonNa want so it doesn't bother me personally also by the way this is posted by good bites on the forum who now has over twenty two thousand posts amazing But apparently Microsoft worked with With they worked with ANDROID. They worked with Google to collaborate make sure that all of the ops like the was calm robust enough to make the experience. Not sock and I think that's going to get more and more common. Because will these screen devices are getting more and more common or on the second generation of Galaxy fold coming up here. I'm trying to figure out what the price of a galaxy fold. Guys, they're like, Z., fold to. It's like twenty four hundred bucks tw-. Yet they're over to grand. Expensive. Okay. Two Thousand.

How to find yor life's purpose
"What we learn about life from fairy tales by Jeff Goings of goings writer dot com. At the beginning of every great story before anything exciting happens we see something that looks a lot like normal life long before the protagonists Lazy Dragon or the heroine embarks on a quest we see her in some unsuspecting place dreaming of something more in beauty and the beasts my personal favorite Disney. Classic Bell Sings of wanting more than this provincial life in Star Wars. Luke can't wait to escape the boredom of a farmer's life and in the wizard of Oz dorothy sings about life somewhere over the rainbow. Is Easy to dismiss such people when we meet them in everyday life as dreamers or even downright crazy but are they really. Pleased get up early on Saturday mornings write essays that I would then save on my computer and share with no one a dreamed of publishing my stories somewhere. But for years, they never left the comfort of my living room. I'm not alone in this. This dreaming of another life does a preoccupation of Bailey and it's a wonderful life and the fixation of Walter Mitty is the reason we sometimes daydream or stay up late watching movies. Our lives are haunted by the ghosts of one might have been. Here's the good news though this is where story always starts with an unrealized dream hope deferred a life lived before chain of events sets the hero on a course to his destiny. Sense that there should be more to life than this. But hopefully that's not where the story ends. An important moment everything begins to make sense. There's a with storytellers call the inciting incident. The moment when the characters perspective changes the tale of an average person living in average life becomes one of mythic proportions but something has to happen for any of this to take place the character must choose to enter the story. Bell goes to find her father. Luke leaves home with OBI Wan. Dorothy, get swept up in a tornado in any great narrative. There's a moment where character decides to be more than a bystander that's really want a story begins with the decision to act. This choice though is often preceded by a link of discontent, which is why when people are called to some great task, they know it they recognize the prompting to do something significant something bigger than themselves and then respond. Why because they've been waiting for it their whole lives. Frustration prepares you for your purpose. My friend Ben Armed says every dream begins with frustration. Think that's true. But that frustration must be funneled into awareness that leads to action. Otherwise, it becomes bitterness. You must be willing to do something to step out into the unknown and see what happens. Until you make this choice, you'll continue feeling frustrated seeing other people succeed chalking it up to lock or some unfair advantage. You'll be jealous and critical wonder why not me and in doing this, he will deceiver self. Because, the truth is some do yet lucky and others have been born into privilege. But what are those things to you? You are still called chances come to us all but only those who are ready recognize them. So before you know what you're calling is your believe your call to something even if you don't know what it is yet that nagging said everything is not as it should be that you were meant for more than the status quo is important clue and what you do with that is essential to how your story unfolds with this means is you don't need some big plan. You just need to be a little dissatisfied with the way. Things are to possess a premonition that something is amiss and you may hold the keys fixing it.

"Trying out short stories always your first story when you I mean not so much the first one that you can. Write maintenance sixteen and Seventeen I was reading science fiction I. there's a there's a story called repent Harlequin said the tiktok man by Harlan Ellison and it was in one of those you know world's greatest science fiction's nineteen, sixty, six, nineteen, Sixty, seven is a collection. And I would read those things back and forth I just loved them. I remember sitting in bed. Reading that story again but TIKTOK man story and I thought I could probably do something like this and And went downstairs and got on the Family Commodore Amiga. which had at that point had been just used for defender of the crown and there was you know a pre wordpress or not were pressed but a pre word program that we had on there and I sat down and wrote a story and it was a science fiction story it was absolutely horrible. It was something about trying to be. Satirical without even knowing satire was at that point is trying to be funny without really having a sense of irony or I had it but I didn't know how to portray it online on on the page. Yeah. and I. Remember. It took it took me a couple of hours and finished it. brought. To my girlfriend at the time I said, hey read this she looked at it. She read it kind of is like, what are you like you should keep trying? All right. At least you didn't say stop. Yeah Yeah exactly. Yeah. It was very nice her was there someone in your family because I mean getting into English and you're talking about some of the books that you read and then into writing? was there someone in your family that? Product you towards. Your joy for reading. Would you even define it as a joy for reading because absolute our devour books? Yep well, maybe not as fast as some people but yeah, I am constantly reading Yeah my mother she she got me into reading very very early I I. What I finally decoded everything figured it out. I, brought a stack of my. You know my doctor seuss books down to her while she was watching the. Cable Net. So I think and just started reading to her out loud and and from that point on there was always a there's always book around it was something that I could always retreat to I didn't know it at the time but just personality wise I'm fairly introverted doesn't mean that I don't like people just means I need to have some alone time and that's where I would get it. I could go home. I'd read a Stephen King Book Re. Short Stories I. Got Into. A. Clockwork. Orange. And all those dystopia novels and you could use that to kind of relax and recharge by between her and my brother. My brother was the one who also use like, Hey, you should read this your one flew over the CUCKOO's nest. Now here's a coke orange like I said, hey, did you get the new Stephen King? They would just feed me stuff and then you know there's All over the house and so I just had my pick I just walk around and you know. GonNa re I didn't know Stephen King wrote four books. You pick that one up and move on from there and then start developing your own tastes and and move on. I think you might mention of it. What was your first piece of writing that you handed into someone besides your girlfriend for a critique? That was junior year. and we're supposed to write a fictional story I ended up fictionalized event that. You know that we want to up at my mother's Relatives House up in Jersey and that crashed and burned really really. Well, it's. I was I was up against another kid in class meaning we we've been partners. and. He wrote this amazing piece of course and then and he wrote I of course to read his out loud and then I read mine and it was just frigates. Suddenly found in this as well But he you know go ahead go ahead. Well I. got the feedback that that at the time. I needed you know. Every writer when they go into writing for the first time especially that age you don't know what revision means you don't know really what constructive feedback means, and so that's that's what the teacher is trying to say look it's not going to be perfect. The first time this is a rough draft, and so you get the positive stuff in the negative stuff and you go back and Redo it and I I went back and wrote a different story instead because I was embarrassed and I didn't know how to you know handle that particular situation. But I I, I, put it through three or four drafts, and then my teacher was like, yeah, that's what I'm talking about it. That's that's how you do it, and so you learn from those particular situations. How is your your balance of confidence with your writing even though it needed Some revision is standing there in reading in front of your your classmates, the confidence. Could did you have a balanced with that because personally I remember my first year university might first communications class in my knees were shaking and I was scared forty people in the class I looked at my communication Susan. Shut up. Even. Though I had a paper here in front of me. How was your balance with that? Probably. Mighty pen. Yeah, exactly you know naked in front of the class. Yeah well, that's that's exactly I. I. Don't know if if my voice was shaking, my knees were knocking at that point I? Do Remember one of the things I was trying to make sound. Funny. Did Not come off as funny. and there is just silence and it was that the that feeling in the pit of your stomach in front of your, you know this is an advanced English class eleventh grade and. I was like Oh man I blew it. You know from that point on he's going to. And finishes. Waiting for you to be over. And there's been plenty of those moments too. Yeah exactly especially following the other guy who? It was he was I. think he ended up being the Valedictorian and just he just knew what he was doing at an early age You know. There wasn't any ever like any jealousy of my my half. I was just always like man he's so much better. But that takes humility right like just to say no. That guy's talented. Suppose just recognizing it. Yeah. Recognizing I mean acknowledged that wow, that guy's talented I have some ways to go. Yeah and Also. Just being a nice person but also I think. It wasn't a secret how good he was everybody knew that because he was he was killing across all of the subjects and it was just one of those things I have no idea where this guy came from it he's amazing. and I think he had transferred over freshman year so we didn't know. Nobody knew who why non horses exactly. Wow. You're awesome in everybody's Askar you. Just for you just to realize, okay, you gotta work on it a little bit more and then you'll succeed. Yeah that's why people like that exist. It's it's. A It's what gives you drive sometimes I. I gotta hit that level. So after university, what was your? What was your mission? I was a drummer and punk rock bands and we were touring up and down the east coast playing basements in bars and small clubs, and we recorded a whole bunch of albums and that was what we were trying to do. I did that for about three and a half four years? Yeah. Yeah Absolutely yeah. It in me see in. One of the band's had a few in there even though I did not play guitar if I got a base and I kind of plunked around and figure out what the notes were and showed it to the guys who knew better than me and we fashion. A song out of that, I could I could yell scream. Or sorry y'all sing. With some sort of melody in there, some sort of harmony. Another band was I started getting more confident. Now is a fifty percent songwriter with that group. and then you know, 'cause you hop around from band abandoning. You know they last a year or two so that there was another band you know those those I who were punk rock ish or just rock bands then got into like an old country band where I was a one third singing partner in writing partner. After that, I got kind of got tired of of writing and I just WANNA play drums. I played A. Backup not. WanNa sing right now I, just want to play drums. I'm already doing five things at once and adding in their six so. Let. Me just play drums but yeah, it was it was a Lotta Fun. How much will even bringing up the confidence level? How much was that good for you to be on stage? I mean. Did that add

And die you've you surrender yourself, he surrenders himself himself for the good of the pair. And so what I do in our looking at this. Okay. What's good for the two of us? Not, what's not what do I want and double out? Don't double up my fish and have A. Fit like a four year old kid on the cereal. It happened yesterday in my house. I said Hey. Let's let's. Start putting some money savings here instead of. Put money over here. My Wife said, I, don't feel comfortable with that. An are on the same page moving forward. It's out works.
"Just. Okay at one two three boom. Nice I'm still got it. This is why you go. US to some shows when when when wedding We have to literally music and visuals when something? Technical doesn't work so. Lights Lights One. Oh, yeah, absolutely I mean that's we should. Actually we could talk about that in a second. Yes it's it's a funny thing. I was thinking about your guys career just in general, and you know from when you started performing up until now just so much of the the not not the music, but the actual production of the show has changed. You know the level of the festivals the technical level the just how much money is going into the whole thing. It's Kinda Wild I. Wonder if that was was that an adjustment period for you guys, or was it just sort of gradually? You ramped up your show at a match it. Exactly that was a gradual thing, right? I remember even apart from bad back when we started. Obviously, we didn't even have a manager for years. Right, Bussey. It was like everything Wednesday buster another than we played shows even think of visuals than we created also visual loop for like remember. What was it like? Twenty five thirty minute loop? Yeah. Yeah Yeah, and it just runs in the background, right? Slightly at the beginning what manager? What's what's visual loop? It was not a DJ showed the DJ when we started was placed somewhere in the corner right, and then like some of the big room. KLOPP's eventually with the DJ a little more visual 'cause it start into. Hey, people are looking for that special guy, or they're coming for to guy and then. On on. I remember that when some shows in Holland I think were the first ones where we saw an anti club. All facing the DJ before. Dancing everywhere all over the place. and. It was so interesting. That was new doing those the early two thousands that we had total new kind of conduct dance culture. It was like people were into collapsed there were you the bar and dancing, and now it's like when when we play a show. Every single face in our in our direction, so thinking about it, yeah, it's actually a total different way of going out and partying and enjoy the night. Yeah, it's really interesting. I started DJ in the late nineties, and so I was right on the tail end. You know when I started when I started going to events and all that it was very much the old days that you're talking about where it was dark you. You couldn't really see anything I didn't know where the DJ was, and then kind of right at right at the end of the nineties when I first started getting my first real show as when that switch happened, and it was really weird. I wasn't expecting it for you guys. Was that something you? You know in the early days where you comfortable with that. Did you feel like performers? You want to be on stage. were. Just mentioning the one word, a DJ turned more into a performer these days. It's more occur forms as some people come more for the event performance than eventually for Dha Music which still? Meal, wrapping it up in what what I say now still Farrah's The music is always the center and should be key over tension, and that will always be what's most important for us, but of course these that you cannot you cannot just you know. Look on your players at a not interact at all with the crowd. You can't do this these days. Maybe, I can speak for the two of us we. We grew into that where we're never the guys that search for every Kendra. Oh, we gotta jump in. but yeah we. We grew into the situation with comfy with it now it's it's fun. And when when the crowd is so much energy to to cheer back into It's awesome that. Really emotional at driving and so it wasn't it was we. We grew insulin and wait. We really enjoyed. Now may be boring to still do just the cool Dj Noah you right so. It's nice to see when they all face. You also especially back then because. The production was as Baker, was still about the music, but there was still facing. You just felt like they really care about the music they really. WanNa hear new music and expect you to surprise them and it was. Good to see all this attention than it made us also better DJ septic.
Review: amazing TCL/Roku TV for $229
"Graham here with a question when the last time you bought yourself a new. Year after year. You know I've been amazed at the falling prices of sets that would garner seven hundred dollars two thousand dollars just a few years ago, and I just picked up a new forty three inch, T. C. L. set with roku built in for two hundred and twenty nine dollars. Two hundred and twenty nine dollars for a display that offers four K. HD, resolution and HDR. But forget about the acronyms I'm just amazed at what you can get now for two hundred bucks. I bought the TV for a non traditional reason to use it as a giant computer monitor to watch videos that I have edited on my laptop on my little sixteen inch laptop. So I paid fifteen dollars for a ten foot HD my cord. That's the Court of course that connects the TV to other devices and I connected it to my apple macbook pro. It went directly to the TV. I didn't have to spring for an additional twenty five to fifty dollars for a separate. Roku streaming player right so I saved money. The footage looks so great at forty three inches I had to wonder why anybody would go out and spend big bucks on a computer monitor a quick look on Amazon in a forty three inch LG monitor is upwards of six hundred bucks wow. So the other thing once I sit up the TV. I never had to plug in antenna cable box or anything defined oodles of programming. All I needed was a WIFI signal. roku screen name and Password and suddenly I had five hundred APPs available on the platform. A lot of them wanted money from me, but there was many that didn't there was so much free stuff I couldn't believe it. I mean I come from a generation that's used to connecting things to the TV whether that be streaming box whether that be an antenna whether that be a cable box. I mean this is amazing. I can act the nothing. so the APPS. There's the usual Pandora Hulu Amazon Prime Video Netflix's s on and on two big ones missing Hbo Max in NBC's Peacock. Financial negotiations, and then there's the roku channel which is a homegrown collection that supported movies and TV shows mostly on the older side. Batman bewitched movies like the perfect storm, dogs and cats. Crimson tide. And live news channels and these are really good from ABC. NBC and CBS. Accord cutters dream no cable needed. All you need is Wifi and you get more stuff than you'd ever Wanna see without connecting anything. So how cool is that? The picture quality I would rate as a ten for a two hundred dollar TV or five on the overall scale. If you're comparing it to the best of breed leads a fifty inch led from Samsung cost eight hundred dollars for the TCL set. You'll have to sit right in front of it. Turn the lights on low and not be on the sides and that way the pitcher will look its best for a savings of six hundred dollars I can do that.

"How much does it playstation five costume? I'm kind of expecting between five and six hundred dollars like one rose two or five fifty. I think this is gonNA. Be a pretty expensive. council launch in Lake. Sure inflation, whatever, but like I yeah I think. The price tag is going to be relatively high I. Think the Blu Ray one is six hundred. I think that people are going to be. I think that what happens is when you start. Building Gaming Consoles. That are basically PC's as you start to get closer to pc like pricing and Sony has absolutely done a lot of work here with their custom chip. Working with AMD timing it just right, so they're taking advantage of a brand new graphics architecture at the time that they're launching They've definitely hit man. The timing is so perfect to line up with AMD's current then to architecture like zen three is probably going to be better, but not in the same way that. was better than than one, and plus like these are very very capable CPU cores. AMD is firing on all cylinders in terms of delivering CPI that have fantastic value, the timing of this thing for it to be as timeless as possible is outstanding. But. This is still PC grade silicon with PC. Grade Silicon yields, these are graphics. are graphics cores. These are DNA to graphics courses aimed is not even shipping yet. These are like these are fresh out of the foundry I would expect. The yields are not amazing at this point in time. I'm expecting six hundred bucks and I'm GonNa. What I'M GONNA go out there and I'm GonNa, make I'm GonNa make guests here and I'm going to say that the digital one is GonNa save you. Man, part of me is tempted to say fifty bucks, but what I also kind of wonder is, if Sony can be making up some of that margin on the back end, knowing that they're going to get digital rather than a physical purchases where they have to bake in retailer margin. Who now that's an interesting thought. What if the all digital version was like way cheaper? Like not, we're not just talking the cost of an optical drive, forty bucks, fifty bucks, sixty bucks, or whatever we're talking like they go okay. We want everybody buying this all digital version. Let's make it like two hundred dollars cheaper like hundred and fifty dollars cheaper. Do you think they could do like six hundred dollars for forty-nine? I don't think they'll do that. You don't think so, let's see. Sorry what's the average number of game? Someone buys because if let's say retailer margin is somewhere in the neighborhood of like ten to twenty percent, so that's six twelve dollars so if they could count on people to buy what six games maybe remember guys not everybody has a massive game collection like thinking back to when we were actually kids than didn't have a lot of money. I had like four games from ice mass. That was it. And like you would rent either games I. Guess Renting's not really an option anymore. Attach rate of nine point six games per cons nine point six games. Okay, so let's say let's say they can assume ten. Then let's let's say they tried to assume ten. So, that would be maybe another hundred bucks. Okay, that's probably a safe bet, but then if they save some costs on the BLU ray drive, maybe they could do one hundred and fifty dollars cheaper, four fifty for an all digital version. Everyone's saying one hundred dollars Max in the chat. You know what I'm. GonNa, do it. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA DO GONNA formalize it. I'm going to say I. Think it's GonNa be one hundred and fifty dollars cheaper I think they're going to count on that. All digital purchases margin. I think they're gonNA. Count on more than just the ten AAA games I think they're going to figure out ways to Sell more digitally to playstation five owners I. Think they're gonNA count on. Attach on attached if things like their do. They did their own headset now. I'm counting on it. I'm on. I'm saying it. Cheaper. What's your? What's your? Bet Luke remember. This is the man show. We can never take back these words unless we like really edem. Really eat them hard. Let me. Tell you crow. Crow is not great. I if it is the hundred and fifty. I wouldn't be like flabbergasted, but I don't think it's going to be one hundred and fifty I would vote against that I. Okay, you can. Go, with like a hundred bucks one hundred, the safe bet, safe bet, La- frontier. Safe Bet Lucas. Safe that after I'm like? No, you need the different council But yeah I think I. Think Probably About one hundred dollars Delta or I think they might do something weird. Do you like seventy? No, no, you can't do that like rule. I don't even know why it matters, but I had this beaten to me when I was working retail pricing like twitter, and that's what that's what we'd call it. We call it a twitter price or between your skew. And I remember one of the one of the classic examples of this was I was talking to my boss about this. This is pretty early in my tenure as a product manager and I was like hey, why are six hundred hoses six hundred and forty was like a weird hard drive. Capacity is the capacity I was like. Wire six hundred and forty terabytes. Or gigabytes drives terrified. Why are six hundred and forty gigabyte drives so unpopular? They're the best cost per gig out of everything in that we carry. And my boss is just like. Yeah. You know what I honestly couldn't really explain it to you. That's what I would buy for myself at home, but five hundred GIG and one terabyte outsell it six to one both of them on either side, even though they are worse value per gig than six hundred and forty, and he's just like. Yeah it. They just don't sell. That's why you have like good better best because you have good so that the people. People, who are you know are going to have to buy the lowest end one don't feel like they're missing out on so much. Because the next one up is not that much better, and you have best because by the time you spend this much as well spend that much. That's how a product works I. Don't make the rules, so there's no way that they would do. Like a seventy dollars difference I will bet my I'll bet my beard on it. You're already betting your beard on shirt sales. You can't bet your beard on that LT STORE DOT COM. Dang.

"Some interesting aspects. There are two they said too. I mean if you think about it he has to craft this show wild. These movies are coming out and they he had to like they had to work things into the show to explain stuff that was going to happen in the upcoming movie right. And there's like there is things that happened in the show that only happened in that show because the upcoming movie was coming Seattle like Oh no we need to do something like win when a baby yoga four skills yes there because of the new movie. I read this whole thing about trying to like soft. Introduce it to the community so that people didn't freak out so much with the movie didn't really save him at all but it was still stupid because they were still so many issues. Like why didn't Obi Wan just like force he'll on? Why didn't everybody Just Force Hill? Everyone ever been quite force. He'll quite gone. Yeah so there's I mean there's so many problems like we could. We could go and we could find problems everywhere but just some of them. I don't find as offensive. You know like light sabers. For example. The penis of a lightsaber has been a little bit inconsistent. Okay so on the one hand you've got luke and vader battling invest been right in cloud city And Luke Hits Fater in the shoulder and doesn't like cut off his arm all right then another example of light savers not being super duper open would be when quite on an OB. One are cutting their way out of the room where they're being held right at the beginning of Phantom menace. Slow right okay. So these are instances. Were not cutting room cutting into the other room. Whatever the point is they put it through and it's like it takes a long time to cut it. It's more like like plasma plasma cutter at that point but then sorry then they're just. There are instances where lightsabres seemed to slice through anything instantly right so there are inconsistencies. But I can. I can accept. I don't know if that's fair. Yeah I don't know if the lights were. Yeah because you don't know what that stuff is made of and if you look in like material science on earth there are materials that will will damage or cut or scrape or whatever certain other materials instantly that look very similar to ones that they will do next to nothing to and I think another example of the openness the calculation Obi Wan's lightsaber completely failing against vader. Yes there's there's very few times that we see something like that again mentioned in the EU a bit Yup There's there's a really interesting book with window where where he has to like. Recharge his lightsaber. I don't remember what it is but to a bit of a interesting book. It's kind of like a thriller anyways so the biggest problem is basically just that they don't have any consistency and so far gone that. I don't think anyone cares anymore. And so they're saying. Do you pretty much cares if we don't care then. No one should care so yeah. I'm out the Saltier than create sub. Riddick cares on. Think lots of other people care Dave Phony Carry People Still Carolina's what I care? You know what our enemies cares about tech and tech. Lg is working on a new dual screen. Phone that apparently swivels horizontally this is this is a gem all right this is a gem. I'M GONNA go ahead and screen share you guys on this because I absolutely love this thing. Here we go boom right like that. Yeah you like that okay. So it swivels swivels ninety degrees so you can have the best of both worlds while you also have the worst were you can you can. I've been informed. It's you can eat your cake and have it to not. You can have your cake and eat too so you get to eat your cake and have it too and your cake is made of boobs and your mouth is your mouth is cut up with razor blades before you eat it and there's lemon juice okay. That's the kind of cake you're having and off this phone. So the back of it smuggles out so you can use it in in portrait mode with a keyboard. Which is the best way to use? An onscreen keyboard. Landscape is literally just lower. You just have to move your thumbs farther. You know it's not like it's making more room for more fingers or anything. So this is this is good and then you could blake. Watch a movie or have like a side-by-side multitasking experience or whatever. The case may be if you're into that sort of thing and they are not going to sell a lot of these and it's called the wing cake it's called the wing because they're just wing it at this point got him. It's so weird I want to hear from you guys karn evil. It's hideous. I'll take six. This is this is like I don't even. This doesn't matter at all. The image that they used for the background of the currently horizontal screen is horrible. Yeah I didn't even know what that is like weird alias. Ain't going all over it. There's there's there's like weird blurry parts for no reason they just weren't trying at all. I don't know Yep. Have you own pretty similar to probably the idea of this phone in general? It's really surprising to me that the one dual screen concept that works. I shouldn't say one because I haven't actually tried Microsoft thing Microsoft's concept yet But the the one dual screen android concept that I really liked having the screen the front and the back and then just one camera instead of having a selfie cameras so that back screen is basically just to like us to preview yourself. He's never really took off with any manufacturers that matter like it was all it was all little ones that that went for that whereas like if I had the option to use my Samsung rear-facing shooter for myself instead of having I'll punch a hole punched in my main display. That would be so much better if all the RND that has gone into hole punch displays and front facing cameras could have just been spent on making rear facing cameras better and putting a crappy small screen on the back of the phone. That would have just been better in every possible way. Video chatting video chatting is an application where it is not as good. They'll get your tablet or or make the screen not that small crappy if they release this which it sounds like. They're actually going to jail. Just just I mean just in. In the verbiage that is being used. I don't statement that. Says we are definitely releasing this phone it just in the verbiage that is being used the going to if they release this will you? Will you mainline it for a certain period of time? Now Yeah I will sure I'll do it for the laws I'll do it. I'll do it. I love that but painful retraction. I'll do it. Basically like a slider except worse in every way it's gotTa snapdragon seven hundred series processor with five support so low end low and chip triple camera setup with sixty four megapixel primary sensor. But it's Jeez it's going to be like an and the price is expected to be just over eight hundred. Us dollars in fairness. I guess there's a lot of validation that goes into building a bad phone but hey they did it so you know they gotta get paid. Oh I I have a actually wind author shows you know what in line with my conversation earlier about how super chats actually great value. They're not I usually. Don't look at them because this is the one show and we don't do a ton of Qa. So I'm not actually defending defending that But in line with that I actually do have a super chat that I went out of my way to answer over the course of this week because I didn't have a good answer from last week. And it's kind of an interesting discussion. So someone asked does D monetize content get paid by youtube premium subscribers? Do you remember talking about this. So if you if you've got a yellow icon and someone with Youtube premium watches where there is no advertiser relationship for you to worry about. Do they still get your youtube premium revenue and I got an answer back from our creator help and they say it depends on what type of demonitization it is. If it's a copyright cream cream claim you will not be able to earn any of the revenue including premium that will go to the copyright holder. If it's a yellow icon so that is to say that like you've talked about the controversial corona virus at a time when that was considered I forget what it fell under but it was it was. You weren't eligible for monetization because it was like I don't I don't remember. It doesn't matter I'll point is yeah was bad news that's about it So if it's something like that you should be eligible to earn premium and it will note so on the icon if you hover over it. So here's a screen shot that I can show just which is cool. It's nice that they're answer to that question. Was like look at the thing yeah. It's nice that that wasn't hidden. This video is running limited or no ads content identified as not suitable but it remains fully playable and is eligible to earn subscription revenue from youtube premium. Youtube premium. Really is one of the best ways. If you're not willing to over on floatplane and support creators. It really is one of the best ways to dramatically increase the amount of contribution that you're making to your favorite creators and I'm not. I'm not saying I'm saying if you premium subscription it completely changes the game. I was talking to our youtube. Contact a boat here. Let me just find this Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah? It had a few back and forth some trying to find the right one but I was talking about how the heck is that. Some of our long format content does so much better than our shorter videos when it comes to Absence and he basically said well. I think you're not digging deep enough into the analytics because I thought that even though we don't run middle's on our long format content. I thought that for some reason the fact that it had higher retention or or something was causing it to to pay out at a higher rate. But it's not actually like that. I need to find this. Where is it issue with view? Analytics no okay loop. Do you want to stall for time for a little bit for me today while I try and find those thing? Tsmc Theoretically allegedly potentially planning on opening a Fab in the US by twenty twenty three. It'd be a twelve billion dollar construction in Arizona Planning to produce five nanometer chips. Starting in twenty twenty three expected capacity to be twenty thousand silicon wafers per month This would have to be heavily. Subsidized is unclear. Exactly how much But according to TSMC chairman Mark Lou is more expensive to operate in the US unsurprising than Taiwan. Or the or or or China I presume so. The company will require major subsidies This apparently in in in the works potentially because there are fears that Intel will build its future chip plants in China or Taiwan Experts believe that it is crucial to the US to invest more in fabs like Taiwan and China and Israel. Actually as well have done And with ramping tensions with China that that Kinda makes sense Apparently it's already confirmed. Wow.

"Forty just click the link below and check those out. Just show everybody you know how tasteless you are. My talk was after. Sorry all right. I'm done you know what in all seriousness displayed. Has Something for absolutely everyone if you like Star Wars? I'm not going to shame you yet. Okay now sponsor spots over now. I'm going to shame you. Okay so did you. Don't even have anything for the new star wars stuff. But why would they? It's all Old Star Wars. That makes sense. Doesn't it one okay? So you did you see. Did you see that Twitter Exchange Star Wars story heads response to cannon complaints? Did you see? Did you not see this? No only crap. This is freaking awesome. So one of the one of the story heads so Lucasfilm story group Creative Executive Matt. Martin told this is on. Twitter told fans to chill when it comes to Canon because the way he sees it you can just kind of like have your own head cannon. You include whatever you want or don't want to because it's all fake anyway which pretty much your faces perfect right now. I love it which pretty much amounts to like you. Guys are a bunch of nerds. Why do you even care so much about this? Talk vote completely having no concept no understanding whatsoever of your customer and your fan base and then opening your mouth and demonstrating it for the entire world to see he basically said yeah at this point we understand that none of it makes any sense and we've given up and so should you because who cares anyway. It's all fake. Of course it's fake. It's a story that doesn't mean that there isn't a value to trying to tell a cohesive one who cares dave baloney pain right. Now Airs Jess Onis. What's holding all this together just brutal just absolutely brutal and it's like I you know what I get it as someone if I were to come into onto that team right actually. No I was about to say if I were to. If I were to join that team I might be. I might just kind of go. You know what forget it. I give up this. None of this makes any sense. So we're just GONNA have to just treat star wars like what it has become just kind of making it up as we go and plot holes and inconsistencies. Be Damned because the ship completely sailed time ago. I don't think I could do it though who wouldn't give me. They've blown. Okay fine I just I just don't think it would be Yeah I I don't think I can do it like if if okay so total. Total Miracle Decision Maker at Disney is is watching this right now on. They're like hey. This guy seems to have his act together. Let's put linus in charge kate. They bring me in tomorrow. I would probably scrap lake. Oh Man I I would do. I would do some controversial stuff man. So I would scrap the entire sequel trilogy because Actually very controversial. I actually came up with well. Yes and no. There's salvageable stuff in there. But I came up with this idea like right out of the game right out of the gate. The sequel trilogy makes no sense whatsoever because the notoriously racist empire has been as a soldier which is like why so there was plenty of room for because I know a lot of people are really upset about the sequels because it felt like Disney trying to hit a diversity quota. I actually don't mind that at all. There is nothing wrong with that. This is obviously a gigantic galaxy. Full of everything from baby. Yoda's to to humans to Sarawak's to whatever it that diversity is is actually like core to star wars to me like if Lucan Obi Wan wandered into that Cantina okay and it was full of like you know a bunch of white dude like them. We're not going to be like. Wow what a cool. What a cool galaxy they've created. That's totally different from somewhere that I walked down the street and gone like that would have been stupid. Diversity is is is foundational but I think they should have just had very infant swab. I think that and another thing too is because the the X. stormtrooper had no character development or story arc whatsoever. They should have had with the stormtroopers. Let's that and has no issue killing all his. Yeah exactly. I think that Ray Ray the trooper okay should have actually had like a really dark history. And we should see her. Do something awful before something happens like some kind of some kind of catalyst needs to take place. Jews perfect. She would be perfect for. You actually don't have to alter either those characters at all you just need to put them. In each other's roles you need to let that romance blossomed the way that it was obviously supposed to. You need to let them both before sensitive the way that they were obviously supposed to the other. Really Cool thing this does for Ray. Oh Yeah I totally forgot about this when I was talking to someone else about it is that it adds some legitimacy whatsoever to the whole conflicted part of her story because that whole thing where she's like force lightning one moment and then force healing. The next moment is just it just doesn't make any sense. It's just stupid and you could be like. Oh it's all fake and it's like yeah it's all fake but if I just wrote a completely incoherent garbage screenplay where nothing meshed with anything else that would also be fake and it would also be bad so if she actually did something really really awful at the beginning of that movie you know she is she is Kylo Rennes. Or She's a native rent. Okay like give her some kind of significance. Now we're talking. We've got kind of bumbling fin getting kind of swept up into into all of this. You know maybe maybe. He falls for her in spite of the fact that she's got this like evil side. Maybe they worked through that together they both get actual character arcs as much nothing. They've got nothing and and you could. You could have done all of that. Without even upsetting the people that are like main characters are are fulfilling diversity quotas Blah Blah Blah because those actors in those roles would have been fantastic and those stories would have been ones that I would have wanted to hear as it was. We had a stormtrooper who just like honestly. Kinda and never actually did anything Than goes onto not really actually do anything and it's just like a sequence of events and I don't even I don't blame anyone's cursor is so wasted completely completely wasted. There's so matter the race even the like four sensitive thing near the end which they tease so many times and then when you get out of it. You're way that that was it. You know what the issue too is though. Is that because I guess because of this attitude that it's just all fake anyway so who cares They take so many liberties with the way that The way that the universe right like I got really upset when RTD to spread the jet packs in the prequel trilogy for the same reasons like if RTD to doesn't have jet packs to launch himself out of the swamp and data in in empire strikes. Back excuse me then. He doesn't have jet packs to fly around in comically amused. The kids Bob The droids or whatever and. I think it's phantom menace But so many people complained about how ray was like this Super O. P. FOR CAESAR RIGHT. That was that was a common complaint. We can all agree on that and there was. There was a lot of speculation that like will it's because you know they're trying to pander to You know people who think women should have more leading roles or whatever else it's all diversity quotas all diversity quota no it's just bad storytelling. And they did it all over the place you know. Look at the first scene where we meet PLO Damran. It's ridiculous. Do you remember it? Yeah Yeah that ground battle where he basically rips in and is clearly like if we were to go into the actual file okay the animation files the CGI. We go in. He's ripping around at literally. Four wrecks the speed of anything else in the air flying with real dot says that's not when we first meet podium and right is it. I believe that's our first introduction to him isn't it? I thought we come in pretty early with with Finn coming off the ship and they're fighting on the ground and like post shoot. Okay sorry okay. Whatever I think you're right. I think you're right. So sorry. The one not not the one where we meet in the one where he rips in with his x wing when they're fighting on the ground and just you like the crew he meets the rest of the heroes yet. No look headshots. Absolutely everything flying around at triple to quadruple the speed of anything else. In the air and your goings. Yeah you're looking at it going will. That's just that's just stupid. You know the best pilots in the galaxy. You know short twenty years ago or whatever could not do that right almost certainly better training etcetera etcetera. And he's not for sensitive while theoretically. I mean Hannah's who knows yeah. Yeah so so you know what I think I think his attitude is basically why star wars is dead to me and it should be dead to you. Because if they don't care at all about continuity and they're just going to go in and keep trying to fix one thing wild breaking three others. It is only going to get worse. Yeah I I don't know I I haven't. I actually haven't watched the New Star Wars Clone Morse series But the feedback. That I've been seeing been trying to stay away from spoilers. 'cause I want to watch properly The feedback that I've been seeing Is is really positive and the men delorean was was awesome and mediocre. You just desperate okay. It's awesome compared to the three most recent movie. It's Smallville in space. That's fine compare. Compared to the most recent movie I watched the whole thing so like I clearly made it through it like. But it's it's it's smallville in space it's monster the weakest buffy. Okay okay. I'm not saying it's the greatest thing ever puts. Could most recent movies think it's bewitched three most recent movies? Glad show? Mike von Bewitched is that that it'd be which does that that show where all like teen witches or something and there's like a monster have to defeat. Evanston at any of these shows so I don't really harm charmed. Sorry it's not rich. It's charmed SMALLVILLE. That's what it is. An art shows often just fine pair to the three. Most recent movies integer overlord by the way just says. Hey there's like one hundred like expanded or previously expanded universe books that managed to keep the story straight. Here's an idea why she's that I know right. Everyone wanted them to do there. Is there is a bunch of garbage in there but there's also a lot of awesomeness had a really good time going through the EU okay. I'm sorry I was. I really was being very rude. I wasn't listening to your question. Hit me one more time. One more time okay came here the mandatory instead of instead of on its own. Yeah mental going. The most recent three movies it's much worse than firefly. Okay Yeah I mean yeah it is. It is maybe a third as good as firefly instead of comparing it on comfort three movies. There's.

"What else we got here you guys sign up for Starlink Internet. Once it becomes available could be a game changer in Canada. Latency shouldn't be horrible. It won't be a game changer. Here yeah not in Lake Okay. Canada is not all just like people living in huts almost goal congregated right along the border how the US at the very bottom. Yeah But I I I mean I would probably give it a one month just that I could. Yeah try to try. Yeah hundred percent care by Volvo. Launched in two thousand eighteen Audi select launched in late twenty. Eighteen misogyny isn't even close to the first. Yes you're right you're absolutely right. It was just that it had it was serendipitous that it happened like the week after rediscussed it. I know that I knew about the Volvo one but not the one. Because I don't think it's here anyway Greg Germann says. Have you seen the Meat Canyon? Video about tech youtubers Yes I have. I actually tried to leave a comment on it but my comment was disabled. For whatever reason so it doesn't no one can see it. It's like shadow. Shadow blocked looks terrified. It's pretty awful actually. Yeah it's it's a thing I think it's supposed to be me. And I basically stuff an infant child into a blender and then I try to power the computer with the infant child juice. I'm sharing your screen. Right now. May Not be a good idea. So yeah there's there's GonNa turn that off realistically. I don't think they're gonNA get that bad. So Yup that's a whole. That's the whole thing that happened. I DID WATCH IT I. It was pretty weird. There's one thing that I found kind of funny and Oh yeah okay Yeah there's some other some other Easter eggs nineteen ninety-one shadow heart the way you were talking about fiber Internet that's literally Australian. Nba Ten Thousand Dollars. Six hundred minimum to get a fiber connection when the note is less than one hundred meters from here. Dr Help US line as your only hope I can do for you. Like we too are a large sparsely populated country. I'm just just so glad that I have fiber at my house. Now now I can just be like all these problems don't exist but I was. I was very angry about it before I was like why. Why is their plan with three hundred megabit down and quite literally like ten megabit at fifteen up? Please know all right. So that's it for the show. Thank you very much for watching you guys. We'll see you again next week. Same time. Same Channel Nick is back for some reason I need to. Yeah okay. I'll wait. Is that tickets you guys in. Oh Fun all right. Well you guys enjoy that. Have a good time all right. So you guys wait wait. Lt Network minecraft Server MC DOT LT DOT G G so yes the minecraft server is finally live so it soft launched on Monday Excuse me Tuesday because Monday was a holiday and we are going to be doing kind of a bigger hard launch announcement in a little bit but yes that was donated from Langley pressure washing. Yes all right I mean you know. That's a chill cool to get our building. Maybe that subliminal marketing. That's GonNa work pretty good there. Okay I actually see a bye bye bye..

"Him we don't care at all yes on that. Have you heard they think this is? This is completely outside of the current documentation stuff. I don't remember what they're called but the Canadian government is trying to push for You know how like there's some wired Internet providers that are just piggybacks on top of other companies. They use their infrastructure. Yeah they're trying to push for that for wireless providers as well. Yeah because basically every every like additional wireless providers just a subset of a current one. Tell us tell us what's whatever sheep one. I can't remember it doesn't matter. They all have their own little. But they're trying to make it so there's other companies that can jump in and tell us just straight up said if you do that we're gonNA fire. I think it's like two to five thousand people and reduce our spending in Canada by billion dollars. Just like I don't know part of me is just like screw them. Just do it. Anyways they are such butt heads. Yeah Lake Honestly I. I hate giving them my money. But Shaw does not have anything even remotely comparable to tell US Internet service and Shaw's Bud heads to their butt heads but they're the lesser butthead of to butt heads thrive in my experience. That's this I'm talking like personal experience. Like tell us has scrutiny over soap anytime charges lies vote fiber. They'd say they have fiber. Yeah oh well they don't I know. Oh okay yeah on Dachshund to or whatever yeah fiber to the node and then the copy of your house not fiber not how that works called. F T T H yeah. I don't like that that bugs me a lot about shock. I mean they'd also like got nothin' so other than Skis Marketing Fair I duNNo. Rsp Suck. But then I kind of think most people's eyes piece. Yeah this is a very relatable topic right. Those and girls all right forget folds. This phone has an expanding screen. I think we talked about this. And we all know. This is different so tcl. Apparently this is this is great so these leaked images are on the verge. Tcl had images leak of a prototype phone with an expanding slide out display. What does that even mean? So I a very telling that you can't see the back of the phone so it will apparently work like an extended dining table with a second displaying that slides out from underneath the first wait. What compelling picture of what the device could be and of course. We don't have anything in motion but like wait. Are they talking like it? Slides like this and then the screen is just like kind of jammed in there and then come the image like zoo. Can you zoom in on that and hats enhance? Look where the camera is. See on the left. One there's a split just to the left of the camera. Yep here. There's the cameras on the far side. So yeah they're kind of saying that the middle comes from sort of so you'd have like seem of some sort here. I mean this renders. I mean I'd probably rather have. I'd probably rather have a Siem in lake traditional normal phone mode compared to using that tiny display on the outside of the galaxy fold Like if it's going to be a compromise no matter how you fold it Like a reasonable one. I suppose all right. I'm into it. I'm into it. I'm super into the whole foldable. Phone concept though not everyone is but I don't I still don't fully. Maybe I'm just Don. Were missing something but I still don't fully understand how this one works meter so we'll see it also might just be a concept image. Like they might not have a working prototype of there could be an extremely thin screen behind the other screen which is going to be tough as heck to do and then when you pull it out though like transparent material over the screen maybe expand somehow and then it's just like slides in because I can't imagine it's like a chunk behind the device that is always. That's one way you could do it. Like like a leaf in a table. You could pull it apart and then it could be alert. Sounds like failure rate through the that would be a spectacularly complicated terrible experience just like so. I don't know I just seems Derby so it's not close. Oh from from our notes here. It's not clear. Exactly how the mechanism inside would work and the extended portion would apparently have its own non glass backing to support the display. So it looks like you would kind of have to hold it in your left hand and then it would just be like kind of a skinny thing whereas the fold really is more like a like a tablet Appears to be based on the deal. Ten pro which is a sub five hundred dollar phone. They launched last month and see yes. They were apparently planning to show this concept at Mobile World Congress this month before it was cancelled due to virus concerns. You just do it anyways because Internet exists. I don't know how it is. Yeah ooh it. Should we talk about? Hcc project Photon. Yes okay go ahead. Where is it hold on yeah? Acc revealed versions of their prototype design to. Can we get the picture? Onscreen YEAH FULLY. Self contained and one that offloads some components wired external. Pack if you go way the heck back in wind shows. I'm guessing four five year. We called this. We called this hundred percent. We did say that it will eventually be wireless puck right. So we're not quite there yet but they are clearly going in that direction. These are still way too chunky. Yeah they're going to have to slim down but like all the direction. The industry is going bad so cool. All so like a compute pack which again completely called it just really long time ago. Nice designed to look more like sunglasses than the usual. Vr headset look except they still look extremely VR headset. Like they're still way to con La James Bond wouldn't wear the no no like a scuba diver. Maybe it's still in development I'd so it currently uses a pointer style controller not fully tracked motion controllers like the Cosmos. Both devices appear to sport front facing cameras similar to like the snap glasses which would be used for pass through view of the wearer surroundings. So it's not that like a transparent screen a our stuff which is what I think. Most people actually want I love this found myself in. Silence says screen rolled up. Scroll Awesome Anyway. That was horrible. That was all I wanted to share. Yeah I'd love to see people using. I'd love that too. Yeah I would never ever buy. One did to the models appear to lack speakers so it's unclear how hard you audio will be handled. Probably Bluetooth. The lack of straps indicated in the designs indicates designs are light enough to us with the. I think there were different versions of it. I can pull it back up one SEC. Yeah here we go line screen. We need a producer. Yeah so it looks like there's like a non strap okay and then this looks like it might be a version where like the compute pack is back okay yeah versus on tether so this one looks like it's on a tether so I think the yeah. I think the downright ones more the new one. Yeah all right so far from where it needs to be. But it's cool anything else. We really wanted to talk about. I mean we can't express six point. Oh Yeah let's just go over that quickly. Yep Data rates are double p. e. five so sixty four GIGA transfers per second. That's four times. Pcie four and eight times three for those of you wondering we actually are thinking of doing a video in the next little bit on. How four point zero could benefit the consumer. There are some graphics workloads do benefit from it. The problem is just there's kind of a lack of you can't really do much in the way of cross platform testing which means you can't do much in the way of comparative testing because you've only got one platform that supports. Pcie Jen for the motherboards. Only got one vendor that. Supports Jen for on the graphics? I think that it's going to benefit consumers regardless hardware kind of needs to go first and for like graphics cards to get to the point where they're using it. It needs to be available on the motherboard side so like pc needs to run way-ahead of the rest of the man. So that is a maximum rod bit rate of two hundred and fifty six gigabytes per second on a sixteen x lot. That's nuts. I have no idea how we're going to do this. To be perfectly honest with you. I mean we already ran into such problems trying to do you know somewhere in the neighborhood of sixty to seventy gigabytes a second using all of the Gen for and we were running the Magen. Three speeds on that that epic envy me server like the CPU just was overwhelmed. Maybe part of that is that it's storage and the way that a storage devices access over is different from graphics cards or whatever else but right now those are the two compelling things that you plug into. Cia Storage and graphics. So like what's going to happen when we're quadrupling that. Yeah I don't know we'll see it's interesting though it's fun new stuff coming down the line forward error. Correction Pulse amplitude modulation all kinds of cool stuff so once it's ratified hit the data center and scientific applications. I then trickle down to the main. So we're really far out the contractor. Twenty twenty one is not on track for twenty twenty one for you not for you. Sorry that's like for ratification. Yeah all right. So you're activity. We can do a handful of super chats and then we're head now polar fish. Hi How much is a good gaming setup? I mean it depends if you're into Lake L. Gr good gaming. I don't five bucks. That's Lisi game reviews so he does like a lot of like budget like budget type stuff. Fear if you're into like something more modern but also like very optimized you can check out those Gamer maybe like what one hundred bucks for a good gaming recruited pencil? You wanted to do if you're trying to play like the latest AAA titles at four K. Forty Hertz better spent five expensive. He actually did video a little while ago. Answering this question being facetious right now. So it's called gaming it every price point where we took a bunch of different price points and showed what the experience looks like. That was a really cool. I don't know how much traffic but that was a very cool lt x demo. I thought so too. I don't know that got a ten foot traffic. I don't think we're planning to bring it back again this year. So that is what is cool. Idea like the concept. When are you going to review dog video chat tech with cadence? John's dog did he. Put you up to this. Never thanks Michael Lame. I Live wang-shou after being subbed for five years ago. Pat Pat says can we roast Alex's pronunciation of Elkin Tara on the new surface videos I think he said Alcantara? Oh Yeah it's one of those things where like if you haven't heard it. Gula rewards money nice any news on dates and location of course August eighth and ninth and it's going to be at the Vancouver Convention Center. We've already got a ton of creators. Customs Austin Ed's real hardware reviews bad seed tech the Tech Jay's Gamers next Sarah shellback e POSS- Fox Greg Salazar from science studio. David L. Bit wit and Scotty from strange parts and that my friends is only the beginning. I have doubled our creator travel budget and some of it is going into making the trip a little bit more pleasant for them so instead of just doing to hotel mates which is what we did last year. We didn't have any money last year this year. We've actually got. I don't think I can confirm it yet. But we've got a big sponsor that is going a long way towards this event Maybe even actually making money this year. Which would be pretty cool. And so of course naturally. The first thing that I did was decide to blow a bunch of it on on creators so I believe I offered everyone the option to have up to another night or two of hotel if they just WanNa like hang around and so I want to turn into something. That's really positive for because they meet all these people but I also Roman last year. Wait why is he not on here? I'm pretty sure he's coming there. Bauer I'm like ninety percent sure that he's coming anyway. One of the critiques he had last year was that he felt like there were so many great opportunities to cloud with people but not enough time and so. I want to create some time for people to do that. And just hang out in Vancouver and like this might be yeah. Budget saying having the studio somewhat open to creators for the next two days could be pretty sweet. Might be impossible. I mean there's might make no sense. Yeah there's already like fifteen people on the list more than thirty seventeen people on the left plus ones that I know are coming in. Aren't even on here yet. Because not all of them are comfortable with me saying they're coming because if something does come up at the last second they don't. WanNa look like a jerk but these are the ones that are confirmed and said they're okay with saying that they're coming so there's other ones they shouldn't random note is yeah. Greg cells are just great. Cells are now. Oh He's not science to you. I screwed up previously known as the youtuber formerly known all right never mind alright. What else we got here you guys sign up for Starlink Internet. Once it becomes available could be a game changer in Canada..

"Win We've got our own line of displays including Alanis displayed. That's right posing in front of my old car. I really need to do that. Video about the point. My wife and Alex are both going to kill me. So we've actually got we've finally forged a relationship with Tesla. Oh that's a pretty cool. We take this picture. No I don't think that say photoshop. Yes Okay Cool. Well any rate. That's the that's the collection But Yeah my my wife and Alex are both going to kill me. Because she's been wanting me to do that video because I said I was going to do that. Video and that was part of how he justified getting a new car. And I haven't done it. And then Alex finally forged a relationship with Tesla who is apparently looking into getting us a loaner model three so we were one hundred percent honest with them saying I I said look like here. I'll just send you the clip. They asked you know. Is there anything that we should know about you? And your feelings towards test like and I think what they wanted to know was like am I. Shorting tesla or something like can I looking to damage to the brand and I was like look. I don't own any stake in Tesla. I don't own any stake in any tech company and not involved in that way. I'm just a guy who uses tack. Honestly I'm not much of a car guy so take that for what it is. It'll be a tech guy looking at a tech thing and they're happy to have wheels on it that's basically it But apparently they're chill with that so that's cool and the angle that we're working on his. I'M GONNA do my first video. Which is why I bought the volt and then I'm going to do the second video. Which is Tesla disagrees and thinks I should give the model for your shot and I'm going to give it a shot. So that's the that's the one to contact punch that you guys can expect to see in the next little bit but in order for that to happen to actually finish the video. Oh right we're not done sponsors Show is brought today also by private Internet access private Internet access. What does it do? It's got an APP for Windows Mac. Os android Iowa's Lennox. And it's got a google chrome extension was support for other platforms coming. They have over three thousand bare metal servers and forty four locations across twenty eight countries. You can connect up to five devices at once with a single account. It's not in my talking points to tell you guys that you can easily sharing account with your family members but I certainly did it and do it so there. There's nothing they can do to stop you. Because part of their whole deal is that they ain't logging anything So check it out today at GD slash win. I'm not going to misrepresent what you can do with. Vpn So whether you're just trying to keep your ISP from knowing what exactly it is you're doing if you're downloading materials that you don't WanNa get notices in the mail about or whether you just want to avoid targeted ads. Vpn can be an excellent tool to have at your disposal. You should also make sure that your disabling cookies and all those I had. I had someone posting during the whole debate about. I mean there's been a lot of discussion around VPN's sponsorships and all that stuff. And I saw someone criticizing VPN's because there were like I'm still getting targeted ads and some were like well like in mode like did you disable cookies and your browser Into like facebook. Vpn Is not a magic bullet but what it is is another tool chest that you can use to help. Protect your anonymity in your privacy online. So that's a slash PA when we have worked out the issues that we had with them and we actually covered that on previous shell. And there's also a I think there's a summary Version on Ellen g clips which is a channel that for those watching the wind. Show probably doesn't have a ton of value because it's mostly just clips from land show but hey it's there all right guys. We know that the audio might be a little bit distinct. There's nothing we can do about it. It looks there are in coder. Might have just like throwing up all over itself at some point during the video today but it's gone now so hopefully the vaud is fine. Just tell you guys all right what else. We got topics today. Nick is hovering around. I'm guessing here's an. Ott Store Dot com to tell you guys about. Oh there's our there's our new cheaper shipping rates so that's sick. What are the rates again eight nine for? Us twelve ninety nine for Canada. Fifteen ninety nine anywhere else in the world sweet all right and we have all the shirts restock. We still have underway right. Yep ALL SIZES K. Cool yeah but we have barely any subsidies. We won't have any more for like a month. Okay so if you WANNA stealth who do you make sure you get now? Basically okay cool probably less now that we said that way to go nick way to go. It's GonNa look bad on your KPI report for March. Because I'm going to sell the stealth ladies disciplined. Have you noticed any? You might not even want to talk about this. I don't know yeah. Notice any purchasing changes since the shipping. Changes have happened like regional purchasing changes at all. I actually haven't looked at it. So you leap. Into the data it seems like values are hired so it seems like people are like oh. I can pay wants fifty nine hundred for shipping. I'll just buy like a hundred and fifty dollars worth of stuff. Well okay all right. Sure cool that were not complaining. Maybe we should take suggestions in the comments of people were thinking about doing. It went show specific shirt because we haven't had win merged for like a long time and that was some of the original merch. Yeah so people have ideas what they WANNA see. Let us know without. Yeah that'd be cool. Yeah Yeah people are going to ask for like a Hoodie redux going to frigging Dodo. I think yeah. Yeah Yeah Rent. Who not the exact same one. Lloyd's head is going to explode when we assign him. That pays me when you ask for things like this because you know there's a reason is because it's very dated and no it wasn't that poppy. Okay we were much smaller when we when we and it was very expensive. Our cost on that thing was ridiculous. It was so expensive. Yeah I don't remember what it was. I just remember. It was ridiculous. Yeah Okay so there you go then you have to ship it and store it for a very long time retailers disinterested so that was the whole early sounds a whole thing different now all right so we've got some other great topics for today. Switzerland halts their roll out of five G. over health concern so this government was this was posted on the form by dealer and the Swiss government was one of the world leaders of the five zero one of the world leaders when it came to rolling out five G. but now the Swiss Federal Office for the environment or Baffoon. Baffled love it. It's so friendly. I know sent a letter to the country's Canton governments urging a timeout on the use of all new five G. Towers so they're responsible for providing the Kenton with safety criteria against which telecoms operators radiation emissions can be judged under Switzerland's federal structure telecoms infrastructure is monitored for compliance by can tonic. Cantonal cantonal. I'm not going to know how to pronounce these things. Authorities while this was capital burn is responsible for setting the frameworks. I think that essentially means like the local governments of the provinces or states. But they use Canton's okay so several Canton's had already imposed voluntary Moratoria. Which means time outs due to rising uncertainty over the health risks and their assessment process would not halt its ongoing work to build five G. infrastructure. Even if it meant it would not be so. There's still going to be rolling it out. They're just not necessarily going to be using it interesting. Swisscom claims customers will still be able to achieve speeds up to two gigabit per second without the full use of the new masts. An according to Swisscom there is no evidence that antenna radiation within the limit values adversely within the radiation limit adversely affects human health. Okay there's some funky stuff. Five popular initiatives proposals for legally binding. Referenda have already launched on five G. US to formula and in the process of collecting the one hundred thousand signatures required to hold a nationwide vote. One will make the telecoms. Telecoms companies Legally viable for claims of bodily damage caused by radiation from mass unless they can prove otherwise. That sounds terrible. Would basically mean people rolling out insomnia and be like wells because it started when all the five. G. I went in. I mean I've talked to people like this. That think that anxiety is caused by our F- and you know it actually insomnia was one of the examples or just like a general sense of unease and nausea is caused by our F- I mean how do you how do you. Oh man how do you how do you? How do you because the thing about that type of belief no amount of blind? Ab testing is going to prove it to them and if they get it right half of the time that's like glass half full to certain types of people just like wow like fifty percent is a lot that was pass in my school so I dialed it. Yeah I stay. Yeah but I think honestly if that law goes through I think it would be very dangerous and probably not a good idea for a lot of telecoms to roll it out. Anthony has a note here that he says the cost of defending such lawsuits could be immense. Given the burden of proof falls on the defendant. Yeah like that's just setting yourself up for failure. Hopefully that's not what we're looking at. I don't live in Switzerland so I guess it's sort of a non factor. Tell tell us just kind of like tell.

"When they're actually switch so you better keep a couple of extra joy cons on hand just in case a couple of more charge because they actually take awhile to charge stocks Yeah sorry go on the most recent generation that was not a thing I believe. I'm going back on really old information. That was quite a while ago that I don't remember and I haven't recently looked up but I believe average profit per console was around twenty dollars Just not like insane or anything but they went from losing money per console to making money per console. I'm not necessarily saying they're going to not make money on this one but I think the performance jumped we had the last generation was a little bit disappointing for some people really. I think I'm the reason I'm sad from a perspective okay so from a PC perspective. Not The website that you know the more hardcore. They go with their hardware the better the experience the PC people are going to get the more likely. It's going to be with what's in it and how much it costs. Whatever who cares? Well that's easy for you to say some people struggle to afford a four hundred dollar consul. Let alone the five hundred dollar console. The current generation councils a great to be completely honest. All Okay so hold on a second. Are you saying that you don't see this as much of a problem? Because using a last generation console like playstation four is gonNA be a far more viable option for much. Longer probably okay. That's an interesting to current Gen. consoles can do a lot. And they've talked a lot about the compatibility of the hardware and therefore the games interesting so you should still be able to be fine and they will probably drop in price so you might be more fine so tell me this. Would you expect to see Sony or Microsoft? Either of them employ a strategy where they launch an exclusive game to their new generation of consoles and then follow it up three or six months later with a version that is back for their last generation consoles with less graphical fidelity and runs at a lower resolution. Would you be floor to see no? I would not be obvious. Surprised I would be. Maybe a little bit surprised from Microsoft Microsoft has has had some bad splashes and some good splashes lately. I think they're gaming. Side of things has been pretty positive with the community. They've done some cool things state. They've brought games to multiple platforms. I think their game pass is going quite well kind of stuff. I think they're going to try to hold onto that positive communication at least within that segment of the company but I think they could keep that pretty positive they say like look it's coming. It's a playstation five game or it's an xbox series x game and it needs more development to optimize it for the older hardware to poorly as long as it was coming. Eventually they set a date through like six months. And we're working on even then that doesn't seem yeah. I don't think over to poorly because to me. So there's such a huge backlog of amazing game so I'm GonNa Pitch something to so so you're imagining then. More OF LAKE. More of like a rolling upgrade well because okay and. I want to throw one more point in difference. They are a lot more like computers so I could literally see it. Just being where the previous Jenner just cheaper computers. I literally right now. They're pretty close. There's a limit to how cheap you can make a computer. So don't expect them to ever read like don't expect a playstation four to ever be one ninety nine like it's it has to have power spot. It's kind of like how hard drives can never get below forty dollars. You have to have the hauser and a motor. There's just bear components that you need you. Can't you can't do a fifty dollar playstation for it? It's not feasible Just the the the plastics and the screws and the Labor involved in assembling. It like they might get pretty low and you might get really really really cost beneficial bundles and things like that. Yes you make it. You might get software thrown in for example. But that's really interesting so if we were to see okay. Look we've got these new generation consoles but we're GONNA have games that are available concurrently. I mean we've seen that before. Ya Zelda. Twilight princess was available for both the we and the game cube for example wild was on we. You breath in. The wild is actually fairly standard for it to happen at the beginning of a new consoles life cycle but are you just expecting a longer. Roll so yeah. I have no idea how long this is going to be a thing but I suspect a longer roll over people are saying. Ps Four has been one ninety nine but okay yes US dollars. Sorry I was thinking with my Canadian brain for a second right there and also. That's not particularly sustainable. Just because it's a promo price doesn't mean that it'd be a sales because remember two guys that hardware has been around for quite a while. Eleven years now. Yeah something like that but yeah my point was just that there is a limit to how low you can go So anyway the biggest problems apparently oh it was the end of twenty thirteen but it was technically twenty thirteen. Okay so The biggest problems are apparently derailed in Nand both of which are in high demand from the smartphone market and the ramp up to fifteen devices from smartphone ramp up to fifty fifty devices talking about but it is expected that both d ran end and are going to go up in price this year so new. Cfo touched on this earnings briefing earlier. This month saying we must keep playstation fives bill of materials under our control. I don't know how they expect to control that. Oh I need to take this. This is the technician for the ups that live in the server room Do you want to go through the publishers? Pelota video G. Force now while I go okay so I'm actually going to just finish off the current one. That were that were on. They did say that. They need to keep the playstation five bill of materials under our control. I think he just said that. But he also stated that the corona virus while it has not yet impacted the PS fives production definitely could and the company has yet to decide how many PS fives. They're actually going to produce in the first year which could affect their costs because by more materials you get a cheaper. Sorry moving forward to Linus. Intro joke to the wind show publishers. Pull OUT OF NVIDIA G force now. Invidious deforest now. Officially launched last week but several big-name companies have pulled out of supporting the platform. Now it was added to orcas terms of service. Awhile ago that you can't play games through you can't play. Wow through this type of service. I know that trying to figure out. Why the heck I was banned And that wasn't it. Obviously but I saw this coming. It does obviously reduced the attractiveness of the platform because BLIZZARD CAPCOM EA CONAN remedy rockstar. Squaring Games have all bailed out apparently and they. It's not it's so you can play games that you own on another platform through G. Force now so they are like disallowing that to happen. Which I really don't think in video would go against so they should be blocking it. And NVIDIA REP said We hope to work together with activision blizzard to enable these games and more in the future. You shouldn't expect activision. This is an inserted part of the quote activism Blizzard Games to magically reappear after a few days or even a few weeks so no time soon but potentially in the future. Invidia didn't want to discuss revenue sharing deals. It may or may not have with publishers. But of course these decisions will have been made by publishers with an eye on the dollar. This whole thing is rather odd. I haven't seen g forest now having the hugest audience at least in the short term. So I think this is kind of one of those things where all these companies stepped back but haven't closed communication and they probably just want a piece of the Pie. It's interesting because your own the game or pay for the game actively But now you're paying a different service to be able to play the game elsewhere and those companies probably WanNa cut of that even though you've already bought the game it's just it's it's a Funky funky space right now. Elon. Musk starling plan approved for Australia. The Australian Communications and Media Authority or ACURA. Acm is the latest agency to approve Elon. Musk plan to send thousands or hundreds in this case satellites into space to deliver Internet connections across the globe. The satellites won't require geostationary orbits. We've talked about this before. Because of the sheer scale of the deployment so they can be much closer to the ground than traditional satellites as close as one one hundred fifth the altitude traditional geostationary orbits. We've talked about starling multiple times on the show before you need such agency approval to in order to install the client side receivers at your house. Okay that makes sense The plan will cost roughly ten billion. Us dollars or more to complete but this is about one fifth of the cost of Australia's homegrown national broadband network which sucks Australian. Internet is terrible ivory. Every time I bring this up on the wind chill I get at least one person be live. Australia and I have a pretty good Internet connection. But it's it's it's bad man. I'm sorry for you. You're not fiction. Probably sucks or you pay way too much for it. I the IT's so bad. We try to get floatplane in Australia. And it's just horrible. We've had to do. It's it's so much better now. It's way way better now because of like things we've done in partnerships we've made like tons of work that's gone into it But like when we first started off it was so hard to get floatplane video like high-quality good bandwith into Australia and like there's a bunch of Australians that were on the the electives form team and just talking to them their issues with the Internet. It felt like you just went ten to fifteen years in the past like it's so rough so it's cool that hopefully they can try to alleviate these issues and I understand. There's like reasonable situations that got them to they're like. I don't know but I also know people that live in New Zealand and they have way better internet so I don't know man I just. It's exciting to you so hopefully this helps in any way at all latency well worse than hardwired Internet. So yeah it's still better than geostationary. Satellite Connections Twenty five to thirty five milliseconds for Starlink rather than six hundred milliseconds or even the theoretical best of four. Seventy seven milliseconds. So this will more help People that live outside of like Sydney like people that live like way out there. Australia's actually gigantic. If you if you like scale if you move it on one of those maps that like scales it properly to other places on the planet. It's huge and plenty of people live not in those very centralized cities so it's good. It's good excited about that. Hopefully it helps some people there get better more stable faster internet. We already talked about Tesla giving back the self-driving thing. There is a ton of news here as we talked earlier. They they don't do a ton of public facing stuff so it's like you know the Eline himself. Essential phone is essentially dead Essential has announced its closure after just five years of business. They released the essential phone. They were working on a handset called jam but there is apparently no clear path forward to deliver it which is a little rough. The essential phone is going to be the last and only thing they've really done it no longer receive any official updates but essential has released a software get hub. We have a link to it now. Apparently already happened. Developers can keep hacking which is actually very cool. I guess sad that they're gone but that's a nice way to exit if they're going to have to exit Give me one quick second. Okay sorry forget to to to to to sorry. I'm just flying through topics because there's no back and forth discussion Steam labs experiment. Zero Zero. Eight is actually pretty cool. Is this machine learning to help decide what to play next The chooses three games based on what you already own and presents you with micro trailers for each. If you don't like your options you can re-re all for a new selection assuming you have enough games.

"Did it did age very well. Grandy says everything you're saying is going to start a riot linus. What do you guys warm? I'm from me so did you know okay in a video awhile ago you look at the camera and say Cherry Tornado. Yeah did did you know that was guilty. Yeah you told me that okay. Yeah Yeah Yeah because like that was immediately screen shot and just put everywhere because people loved it. I was just messing with okay. I thought you were. This wasn't sure the second the second someone sent it to me because because I didn't know about it I watched it and the way you looked at the camera I was like. He's talking to me. This is pointed. The semi Gamer. Emmer says only play it if you've played the vanilla before we'll yeah. I've played house for like my favorite game of all time. I would like to watch you play it. That would be my vote. I would watch watch streams of you play I think you should streaming surprisingly little feedback distinct. Thank says I agree. I don't know who you're agreeing with. Ropel I have multiple friends who liked it and still speak highly of it but when I tried it no thanks it's just not as engaging. They said they're biased. Simplest that okay got it. I did not play Morlin so more wind was another perfect example of a to d RPG. That I just didn't get into more is amazing but it's it's really hard to go back to if you didn't play it I go back to it because I remember all the systems and it doesn't feel that foreign to me I played oblivion i. That was my first elder scrolls game oblivion is a lot easier to go back to and it wasn't a matter of go back to like it was my first elder scrolls game and so I was like that was a great game. I I want to play more elder scrolls and went back and tried to play more win and I was just like I walked down. Some path got immediately just dunked dunked just like crushed into the arrival in my opinion house like the best way to go back and play more wind. especially if you haven't played it before you have played eighty before you might not have to lean on this but I'm played it before it's too cheat. There's a few different skills and things that you can artificially crank up that make the game just kind of not stupid like an old and this comes from dnd but an old gaming thing is just that you like miss all the time. And it's not fun. Gameplay and more wind is extremely extremely in that realm so you walk up to this giant dumb crab. That can't do anything. And you have a sword and you stop it in the face and the games like mirth and you stab it like a million times and you have to get your long sword skill up or whatever then there's individual skills for like every very granular type of weapon which is cool but but also makes the game play really annoying and you can't hit anything it's like I'm the world's most masterful swordsman but like I can't even pick up a bone marrow without it immediately really falling out of my bad. There's there's really clunky things in the game to like get past those tedious game mechanics cheating individually cranking some skills skills will probably make your experience. Better Patrick Finney says I prefer the original Japanese release on final fantasy six versus the US the last final fantasy three. And that is I guarantee it exactly what you sound like. What else we got here? Okay I'm pump in a UH a straw poll out here. Dominic ALMANAC says remember what everyone was saying the original Wolfenstein graphics for so realistic. And you go back and look at it and it looks like a multicolored game. Yup Pretty much sure so nobody seems to like have played this thing or like know anything about it pretty much. There's a couple of posts in here but I'm reading basically everything that I see but someone says they want me to stream it so you know what maybe I'll just give it a shot I've got. I've got a legit cartridge so I can i. I won't feel bad just playing final fantasy. Six votes are porn. But I think we've already got our percentage breakdown. Okay so apparently I gotta play it and I can tell you my my word I feel like I'm GonNa hate it because a lot of why I love final fantasy six so much. It's it's just grinding. Most of these skills don't matter at all. The puzzles are honestly not really challenging by modern standards even Maybe maybe part of that is that I know the game like the back of my hand. Not like the back of my hands or anything like challenge game play through series. I did I didn't mean maximum oblivion gets ridiculous but yeah you can jump whole buildings and stuff it gets nuts. But that's why I think you should extreme it you're going to replay a game like I had a lot of fun. I did this when I used to do. Those charities teams right play one second. I need to ban Mike Kosovan. He says sorry final. Fantasy six is trash. Okay I am reporting you for hate speech. The and her actually can I do harassment and hate speech Mil. I have to pick one. Would you say it's harassment or hate speech say harassment charity screens. Yeah right so listen to play for one hour each game whenever it does matter but I played more win for an hour and I decided to pack in like all the as many not all not even goes to all but as many of the little secrets and tricks. I've learned over the years. It was really fun and people enjoyed it and I think showing people that stuff and showing people like why I liked more wind was one of the reasons why I enjoyed that segment. I don't even know if there's a great great reason to like final fantasy six. That could demonstrate to people but the music is gray hair watching the experience would be a form of entertainment. Even even if it's not like exciting it would be a form of entertainment to see relive a game that I've heard you talk about. You know what I actually had A. I ended up killing Ling like two hours reading this blog the other night and it was amazing. So let's say a translator who works on Japanese to English translations What was I looking for Not here it is you. You should read it. It's absolutely fantastic. The site is legends of localization DOT COM. Oh Yeah No. I know of the website I haven't seen seen I haven't seen this one Clyde Mandolin Mandela whatever it doesn't matter created this system for you're seeing the dialogue from five different versions of the game on the same place at the same time and he goes through and just their streams to go along with it but these they're just like the highlights. I'm a reader stream. Watcher ended up just reading it but just kind of talks about so. Here's the original Japanese which he'll often say like you know how close close the various translations got to because he can read it They've got the Gameboy advance translation. This fan translation. That's famous for being terrible and then talking talking about how great it was compared to the bill we'll see translation. which is the original North America? Release and they've also got Google in there for fun and stuff off. That Google spits out is absolutely amazing. Some of the stuff. That's cool. Yeah some of the stuff the fan translation or the original one that I I. I never realized how confusing some of the dialogue was. Because when I'm going through in plan for myself I know what's going to happen so I don't need to worry if like foreshadowing wing was done wrong but there's some stuff where the meaning of what the characters are saying was dramatically altered okay. Apparently he famously had almost no time to work on it and there were some censorship issues with Intendo of America. We're like there's some pretty explicit language in the Japanese one that he had to be like. Nick WanNa come sit with me. Soldier boy win like the Japanese is not like. Oh Oh you know to let me to let you through here you gotta bring me some liquor whereas Bill Boys Lake Apple CIDER. Okay ooh anyway okay. Maybe I'll try it. Maybe I'll try other. You'll be fun to watch Okay there's one more super chat that I really have to read because it's like a one hundred dollars to protect your nuts. Mr Inet Guy. Two Thousand Four. No idea has done one hundred dollars super chats multiple times. He's done these for this. is like the third heard. There's more than one on this. What are you doing I think he's got to be close to like a thousand dollars? He's donated through this. What are you trying to achieve? I'm back yeah we see that but like there's three things you want to just assure when I'm back. Yeah just one. I'm back okay but then okay okay. There's a legit question in this other. One here hold on second line is how can I get ten Gigabit Ethernet to my house and remember me ten Gigabit Ethernet well. It doesn't really work that way so okay so if you aren't ten good land you you need to get a ten gig switch cat six cable and ten GIG network cards for all your devices if you want ten gigabit Internet. It won't come over Ethernet. It'll come over a fiber connection that you literally pay contractors to dig a trench to your house and tie into your local. ISP because you he might have the money for it. Yeah I mean if you give out one hundred dollars super chats for no apparent reason candy okay. I'll just read the ones that are related to the final fantasy six month. al-Bakker says yes. Yuki Satan says yes dire fall glaring says you you realize final fantasy six is older than most of your audience and on that note. I think we're done here. Thank you very much and good night. Me Me Me Me me me..

"Fourteen forty it's overclock to one hundred and sixty five hurts and this is really cool. It uses L.. Low response time panel. So this is that one millisecond response time panel that we liked so much when we originally looked at it and it still looks great today. It's height adjustable with tilt pivot and swivel. And we've got an upcoming line of Texas video this Sunday showing off this month. Oh yeah that's right we do and we do like this sick custom water cooled building in a singularity case. That's actually really nice. Check it out today at the link in the video or podcast description just done soon now yes just before we move on. Yes one of the reasons why I want to bring up. The keyboard thing is is because in diagnosing keyboard. I was taking it apart and I was trying to look up the brand of Lube that I recommended way back in the day for switches so I looked up my old qui cap replacement guide and in looking that up. I figured out that you guys did a wash coupon dishwasher video did you missed us. Yes the lube miss the Lube if you wash your keyboard on the dishwasher. Oh Yes yes yes. Actually there was more or less on it than you think. Okay Yeah we did check for that. We should have mentioned though we should have specifically called it out but also because we didn't run it hot if we run it hot for sure the loop of melted. Did you flake heat determining things on your dishwasher. Yeah does everyone have that. I don't know I don't think so. I specifically mentioned it in the video. Okay got I rented on cold or at least I did in the footage. I don't know if I don't remember that but I didn't like wasn't fine tooth combing it and then I mean there's a few things like You probably didn't have to water going through your. That would be better. They all survived. They did I appreciate that. You did more than one that was planned was cool. I do appreciate that but you could still get minerals from the water adamant There does have a very low melting point. And I'm happy you point that out because no one should do that but even abs plastics can warp. That's true we didn't have any warpage though. Yeah we also specifically ran it on cold or that reason so I don't know but the lube was the main one hundred. Yes we should have called that out. We were lucky though in that configuration and our test Ron. We didn't have there is there is i. Do know of Plenty of people that have done it. It's been fine right but there are just some like I've never know of these risks before you've never heard of anyone actually killing one. I've seen Warped plastics. That would be bad. But I've never I've never actually heard of anyone say their keyboard straight up died from it so all right. There's just a couple couple more things that we have to chat about Lt. Twenty twenty. Save the date. August seventh and eighth overall live. Okay well we ended up talking about that anyway but anyway there it is twenty August Eighth Ninth Vancouver Convention Center. We're going to be in the big Muir side this year. Oh wait eighth and ninth this Oh crap eighth and nine and ninth in the documents. The Documents Wrong Lt X. August eighth and nine up up featuring dream hack once again super excited. It's going to be awesome. We've got a whole bunch of information on the site that's been updated except for that Transportation Russian might have information a good staff there so yep yeah guys want to see you there. We had a great. It was really all show last year. Genuinely genuinely we've got some amazing boof ideas for this coming year von Der remember any of the new ones can i. T's a couple of them. What was what was that stage challenge of this? I had suggested that we have two. PC's Yup there's something wrong yes yes yes so onstage PC diagnosis same. It's the same issue. Yeah I yeah I suppose pretty cool. So that's GonNa be really fun. Got A lot of really Great Lakes panel ideas. We're going to be inviting a wack ton of creators leaders haven't heard from yet because I haven't sent emails yet. I'm worry I will send out emails. I was very excited last year and I was like pretty sure. It's going to enjoy it more more than packs and then I did buy massive amounts and that makes me way more excited for this year. Please come and say this year is going to be freaking awesome super stoked all right and then I also gotTa Pimp Carpool critics so we are experimenting with a podcast. It's called Carpool critics. You can find in which by the way. Yes Fo- plane traffic when you launch a video that says we're leaving. floatplane is crazy. We did YUP. The carpool critics sir. We're going to be going to podcast. Only thing was titled. We're leaving several and got a notification line is operatives were leaving flow plan that was is That was awesome the traffic spike was he. Okay then it was a little misleading. mm-hmm oh I yeah. I didn't clear that. Yeah it's there's a few people in the comments being wow really click betty but you know it was cool for us to see. Yeah also I don't see why they shouldn't just keep uploading it there anyway. Yeah so okay. We're also going to be releasing audio only post guys but yeah we'll we'll we'll okay. When are you guys going to be done that feature? Okay okay. It's on twitter. At carpool critics. You can head to Carpool. Critics DOT LIPSON DOT COM to get all the details about it. And basically it's Riley James and David are kind of the core cast but I would expect them to rotate in and out and have some other people in there. They're going to be talking about old movies new movies just kind of movie related staffs it's available on Apple podcast school podcast pocket casts spotify end more and I was going to say I know you have negative. You've time but I was hoping we're going to be on the rise of skywalker. One I honestly I think so we went and saw it together and then we ended up sitting in his car and I said five minutes. We ended up talking for about an hour just because we both had so much to unpack very many thoughts I'm just spamming. Chat with Carpool critics links here. I haven't actually watched the Carpool critics episode on rising skywalker skywalker yet. I don't know how much can yeah I. I don't know they had already recorded it by the time I saw the movie because they went saw it on released And honestly I doubt that I would have had much to contribute. Because they seem to have all had pretty much the same. They seem to have all seen the movie that I did. Now okay. We're aw man. Do I have time to go off on a short star wars tangent building locked. They can you. Can you lock the building while I okay all right so I took took a lot of flack because I ran it at the end of tech linked about some of my issues with rises Skywalker with one of the big ones being spoiler alert. It's not really a spoiler. But it's a small spoiler. Okay so one of my my main issue with Nah. That's hard to say main issue. One of my main issues with arrest skywalker being this just pulling new force abilities out of a drawer or your head or pocket. Whenever you need one in order to solve the problem and I took a lot of flack for people saying well actually if you read the comics and watched all the shows no hold John? If you read all the comments much shows you would know that there are established times like force killing was established here enforced. This was established there and Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah la La. So my problem with all of that is that over and one of the one of the most like q. e. d. m. f. was posts was. Well it's always been that way in a new hope. Moving things around with the force doesn't exist. It's only this the ability to be super humanly reactive so so better reflexes and to not to know what's going to happen before it's going to happen. We can communicate over long distances is and with the dead guides us. It's it's a mystic thing. It binds the galaxy together and that was really about it and then early alien empire so this was there like actually you know when luke grabs his lightsaber with the forest. That's pulling force abilities out of his butt and then there's return the jed eye when there's force lightning out of the but and then you've got you know the prequel trilogy were pull lots of things out of there. But here's my response to that. All of that made sense. It's because in a new hope. Obi Wan really he's like an old man. And like you look at them trying to fight vader. He's barely early standing at this point. Okay so the fact that he doesn't still you know do double flips or whatever you can get Kinda make an argument there. Luke is still learning how to use it. He's a novice. You can introduce new force abilities with Luke skywalker throughout the original trilogy without it being a continuity error or or or breaking the rules of the galaxy that they've laid out at all as for the prequel trilogy with the exception of just phenomenally stupid things like RTD RTD to suddenly having a jet pack when it comes to force abilities will yeah you've got literal gigantic schools dedicated to studying the force. Course all of that knowledge was lost and stuff. Of course they could do stuff that didn't exist anymore later. I had a bigger issue. We talked about this. I had bigger issue with magnitude. Okay okay we we can ensure that too so it ties into magnitude though. Yeah so here we are. We're in the future where all that knowledge was lost and stuff and all those users were lost and then there was this period where no oh the entire force did not concentrate itself into one individual okay so that didn't happen and then we're like twenty thirty years in the future and we're still pulling new abilities out of our but even though all those many many thousands of years the Jed eye nights where the guardians ends of peace and justice thousands of years. We lost all that but now within a couple of decades we've got you know Jedi masters suddenly being like. Oh yeah sure like I'm jedi master. Whatever even though I like didn't finish my jet training so however that works and like I just it drove me nuts because even if you've got these comic books and you've got these shows that have established the stuff you having established how ray ended up being able to do it? The only reason why I'm not shipping in Moore's we can't stay here forever. Yeah just explaining for people ever watching. I don't know it just it. Just it drives me crazy because it takes all the stakes out of a conflict or out of a problem when you know that I don't know like try the forest or something I watched. I watched a video recently on it and I thought his explanation was pretty solid. It was it was actually actually a video about the clone wars animated series shows. They're releasing season soon. I'm really excited about that. And they went off and said like okay so the the original series is the foundation of your house right the prequels. It's kind of like the door. And some of the fans of the siding some of the stuff on the outside side. The animated series is like the structural beams inside the House and then Disney's series is like the you'll live live you laugh. You love sign on the wall okay. That was great. It's really likes that analogy algae Mike. It's pretty too nice. It looks the CLIFFE's perfect. Yeah I don't know I mean I don't I don't think that I I don't think that they could have. I don't know I don't know how to fix it. That's that's the time you're on that one you're just kind of and this is something we this is something we talked about. The pacing of the movie was terrible because they were trying to tie up to entire random MHM series of events worth of Moody's random events in random characters utterly meaningless events and meaningless characters. And they're just like trying..

"And I've talked to people at Intel about this and I understand their stance and it I totally get it on paper but that's fine Yeah.

"And the climate has changed the climate has absolutely changed in the last even just the last five six seven years so okay so with big one for us yeah the MODs Vlad's mudra volunteers and they don't have time to deal with all of that so we just is literally a school bus full of children trying to cross the road and I don't you know yields will then I'm also probably correct translation which is still as was stated horrible yeah it's not it's it was an incorrect we should be mad about the right thing that was what I was saying it was an incorrect translation fairly sure yeah we I have someone that I know that speaks Chinese that read it and translated it and their translation was extremely similar to a translation those posted by random user in the twitter threat yeah so we're like pretty sure that one was more accurate it's still Mike back and we said that yeah it's just different and I would rather people were angry with the right thing so that makes your want more irrefutable it makes it stronger it's a good thing you wanna you wanna be angry about the right thing will help you I'm trying to the help you all right so there you go guys hope that was fun in summary blizzard did the wrong thing lawful evil wake research lawful evil like we said were they within their rights Yes not light right I didn't say responsibilities I said rights they were within their rights it is within the letter of the law did they do the responsible thing no have they backtracked yes backtracked enough I was coming yeah no are we pro China no I don't know why he thought that I don't know where that idea comes we talked for the stream like all right I don't know if going over there is going to be honestly I haven't I haven't considered getting on a plane to China ever since candidate detained what's your name hang may something think I don't remember always cfo the dot co founder whatever I'm sitting here going like China's this whole reaction to that was completely disproportionate and inappropriate because within the letter of the law that just like within the letter of the law like there were some there were some pretty clear and obvious reasons for her to be detained and she clearly knew it because otherwise why would she have gone through Vancouver for her connecting flight any who ever since then it's it's been I don't know I don't know if I've ever said anything particularly defending China I don't think so anyway people will interpret whatever they want but and there's nothing I can really do about that so then why don't we move on oh good our next topic what a mess chapel moves the Hong Kong Protest App oh well we promised we were GonNa talk about it so here we are just a day after Chinese state media criticized apple for Doing H K map in its APP store and a week after apple flip flop on its initial decision to delist the APP the crowd source map has been removed again sparking concerns that apple is pandering to China's political regime the shares information on the location of pro democracy protests and police activity in Hong Kong opponents of the APP say that it enables riders to commit violent acts while supporters of the state helps people avoid police brutality H. came out creator say there's no evidence that the has been used to target police or threaten public safety they added that apps such as ways which use crowd sourced information to help users find where police are hanging around also still permitted on the APP store in an internal letter Tim Cook explained Tim cooked depends how badly go Tim Cook expect explained apple's reasons for pulling the APP it is secret that technology can be used for good or for ill this case is no different applebee's decision on credible information from both Hong Kong police and apple users in Hong Kong the APP was used maliciously to target individual officers for violence and victimize individuals and property where no police are present this us put the APP nation of Hong Kong law similarly widespread abuse clearly violates our APP store guidelines barring personal harm apple made the decision a day after Chinese State newspaper wrote a commentary criticizing the company for approving the APP in this case thoroughly reviewed them and we believe this decision best protects our users h. came APP is still available on desktop not that it's the same scale yes but there was news that came out around when pokemon go for sloshed because people are using pokemon go stops as mugging locations yeah because they knew people with phones and probably battery banks and potentially probably not paying close attention chasing Pika choose among them or their phone or whatever and that was like that was in the news I believe a fair number five times yep so Polka Mongo it was used for the they say where's their official statement on it if it's used in whatever whatever protects our users something something barring personal harm yeah so you know it's just so there's a double standard here basically what's going on and actually this is a fair bit more cut and dried than the blizzard case quite honestly because with blizzard they can make the argument now blizzard did a very poor job if their actual intent was keep political discussion out of their sporting event which okay I can at least understand and sympathize with they did an extremely poor job of seeming biased about it really bad like the worst I can't think of a worse way that they could have handled it but if that was their intent and they had on something say for example like warning everyone involved making sure that the entire community knows look this isn't going to be tolerated no matter what side of the fence you stand on if you are a if you're a pro China winner of the next hostile tournament don't you dare say anything responding to to what happened here because you will be banned if that had been there stance I said Okay Fair enough so your platform those people can talk about whatever they wanNA talk about while they're on some other platforms later which or actually I don't know which have any guidelines respect ideas blizzard Turn it's not blizzards concern because it's someone else's free complex forum here this I don't necessarily agree with Mr Cooks terminology here Clearly violates our APP store guidelines your APP store guidelines quite honestly suck yeah that's really it's way too vague because I'm sure like tinder it has been used your thank for horrible things I'm sure all of the related APPs sorry tinder you're the most well known one that I know of similar things there's plenty of them I'm sure they've been used maliciously lots of absent used maliciously to whatever their definition was was was terrible so like they they need to be more specific about that if they want to try to enforce this all our chat wasn't working to the scale at which they are enforcing it at least blizzard band someone who was idolized and had reach and China others in the tournament new said Spokane we've reaction yeah all right I'm just checking to me the stream health says reds I was just refreshing the page to get things where I have to take this with me wow the airport is gonNa love this really should almost APPs something random to it yeah I I am going to get extra screening because of this you know this right whatever the ones yeah yeah it's fine I'll take it I'll tell you get check yeah I you know the X-ray those two right I'm totally getting question it's a camera okay the camera handle so in summary Oh google apparently in just in case you were hoping that our other benevolent mobile device over Lord was standing up for freedom of speech Google has also removed a Pro Hong Kong protester game called the Revolution of our times from the place sure do trade policy that bans capitalizing on sensitive events such as attempting to make money from serious ongoing conflicts or tragedy tragedy game okay that's pretty actually know that that kind of makes sense to me never mind whereas the one on the APP store is clearly designed for people to coordinate efforts in order to accomplish something yeah all right well we'll but hey at least you're headquarters is hundred percent renewable energy right in later news let's just jump to the steam one just just warmer it's just better breath things are things are greater there I'm GonNa talk about it because he's reading chat steam to make local multiplayer games work online seem has announced surprise new feature coming as soon as October twenty first that's awesome remote play together this feature will transform any local multiplayer video game into an online one by having the primary player stream their gamed up to three other friends meaning that the other players won't have to buy a copy join okay can I explain why I was mad about this when I read the headline I was wondering okay I was mad because I interpreted it transforming any local multiplayer video game into an online one as way of adding fresh layers..

"You can connect up to five devices at the same time not that we're endorsing the Sharing Accounts Paradigm laws can traveling their APPs APPs include. DNS leak protection and six leak protection and they've got an Internet kill switch that will block all traffic if the VPN becomes disconnected reportedly check it out today at Lsu org slash pa.. Yeah tore enters are definitely into that kill switch because which is very important just in general in general but I could see tore interspersed Bert being pretty into that feature shirt. It's important for everybody. The show is also brought to you by savage. Jerky us uh-huh yeah all right MOJO's. My was my first love. I know that's my actual favorite have tried that. It felt like a waste because I really liked the Maple Buffalo Bacon but like just cramming it in your food whole. Oh you're not appreciating it properly I like to. I actually liked to go slow with it. Which is why I end up eating it for the entire rest of the show. It's not actually a ton of Bacon lakes. He's not achieve but it is delicious had my talking points are gone whatever it doesn't matter got a bunch of different flavors of Jerky all all different levels of heat from Berry tolerant tolerable all the way to like wow and you're punishing yourself. go go for it.
