Vice President Mike Pence gets vaccinated on live TV
"News vice president, Mike Pence, got a vaccination live on TV at the White House this morning, said he was grateful especially want to thank the fine medical team. It At Walter Reed. Hospital that administered our vaccine today. I didn't feel a thing Well done. There you go. Today, Congress is getting their
The COVID VIP treatment
"All right. So what happened in the last week that was newsworthy okay. Something about someone came down with something someone or someone's the president called covert nineteen and was basically a super spreader event at the White House and ton of the people in his orbit also came down with covered nineteen. I think it was one, thousand, nine, hundred, Steve Count messed I heard. Wow, ironical. So it highlights the fact that this pandemic it's still ongoing it's very infectious agent. You have to be extremely careful one of the things that came out of this though. So again, we're not trying to pick on trump, but this is something we have to talk about. There was a lot of confusion surrounding pretty much everything to do with with the president's infection. He went to Walter Reed Hospital which which is a military hospital and it's where the president would go when he gets sick and. The care that he received there was was odd it's not how would a regular person would have been treated that way there is something by the way if I could back up for a second in medicine, we do refer to recall VIP medicine where if you have a very high profile VIP patient, sometimes they get special treatment but the thing is it's usually not better than standard care. It sort of VIP care can often be worse because any. That biases, the decision making if you think about it, the clinical decision making should already be optimized to risk versus benefit and all that stuff. And anything that biases that is going to deviate from optimal it could only be good. That's the only. Time where where it's better medicine is obviously in the superficialities Tad. Service when a a Saudi prince, a literal Saudi prince basically bought the entire floor of the hospital. For him to stay yes. You get that kind of treatment but the actual medical care unless like you can't pay for things well, and that's the real problem in our country. Right? Is that some people are getting not optimal care simply because they can't afford not optimal care right and actually. To be honest with you if you're sick, you know most people are getting the care that they need enshrining for to the. Hospital just does it and worries about getting paid for it later to be honest with you and they are sort of baking into the whole system taking a loss. But regardless of how you feel about trump like he is the president, which means he needs to be well as soon as possible. Be Getting. The best care should. Carry that we can deliver. But where the VIP care deviates from optimal is when they do things like give experimental treatments you know. I think drugs that usually only give people when they're. Right he got he got one experimental treatment, a monoclonal antibody. He received the rent. Vir, which is pretty standard but again usually. Given in severe cases, but the the real the real curious thing was that he was given steroids and steroids are usually reserved for people in the later stages the people who have the WHO get the immune reaction after the first week or so that sick when they're immune reaction like a really negative immune reaction kicks in then we give them steroids to sort of tamp that down you don't necessarily want to give them initially because they the steroids suppress the immune system, right might suppress your ability to fight off the virus earlier. So there's no prophylactic kind of benefit to. Perhaps he was sicker than they let us. Yeah. So there's a mismatch between what we're being told about how was and what we were being told about what he was getting and I tell you I'll say when I become a super VIP and I go to the hospital and by a floor whatever I do I will say give me the standard of care but add on demand. Foot massages. Treat. Strategy that's your VIP tree. That's fine. But he got steroids and so pretty evasion oxygen. Actually Multiple Times Oxygen Standard Your. Drop you're right but but that's what I'm saying like maybe he was sicker than we thought because within the first lake apparently, he got oxygen while he was still at the White House before they decided to bring him in and then the doctor was really cagey about whether or not he was still needing oxygen supplementation. You correct we're kind of talking about two different things. So you're correct in that there's a mismatch between the different things that we're being told. When did he contract it? When did he know? Was He? When did it become symptomatic? How sick was he did he require oxygen? Did he have pneumonia the his doctors being cagey about all of these things but we did learn that he did on two occasions. Occasions was temporarily given supplemental oxygen because Oh two's rations dropped, which means there was some pulmonary involvement but the steroids is a different issue I. Don't think that's a manifestation of him being sicker than we were told because he would not be out of the hospital now if that were the case. That's a manifestation I. think of them throwing everything at him to get him better as quickly as possible even if it's not necessarily the best thing. It could backfire sicker. Yeah. I I don't know what's going on behind closed doors but. Wouldn't give that at this stage of the illness and I've read multiple articles of of of covert nineteen treating doctor saying just doesn't make any sense this. There's no scenario where he should be getting steroids at
Trump looking to resume campaign events despite recent COVID diagnosis
"President can return to public campaigning as early as tomorrow. In a White House press release, Dr Sean Conley said that Trump had remained stable since returning from Walter Reed Hospital to the Oval Office, calmly wrote Saturday will be day 10 since Thursday's diagnosis and based upon the trajectory of advance It's diagnostics the team has been conducting. I fully anticipate the president's safe return to public engagements at that time. Whether Trump does return to campaigning and other events remains unclear, as Dr Conley has given contradictory statements throughout Trump's Koven 19 treatment just three days ago, he said, if we get through to Monday, with Trump remaining the same or improving better yet, and we will take that final deep sigh of relief Mike Power, NBC news radio. Meanwhile, Democratic
Trump says he won't participate in virtual 2nd presidential debate
"Trump this morning on Fox mornings with Maria said he refuses to participate in a virtual debate with Democratic presidential nominee Joe, but I'm not gonna waste my time on a virtual debate. That's not what debating is all about. You sit behind a computer and do a debates ridiculous. The commission on presidential debates switched to an all virtual debate for the October 15th debate. The second one in order to it says Protect the health and safety of all involved. President Trump tested positive, of course, fork over 19 last Thursday, spend three days receiving treatment at Walter Reed Hospital.

So I'll play your game. So, let's just say this was a let's say this was a TV show. Okay. It's not a documentary even though you're in its your face, your facial hair, you're talking to players. So what does the story about it's about Ted Lasso that that his name Ted Lasso and he's this American guy who goes to England to become a coach of a team he knows nothing about the sport. You Bingo you got it. That's it. How did you end up watching? The whole thing? And you thought it was a doc I mean, that's I mean that's why I was like it cover news for a second season. Of course, it gets renewed for a second season I was like we want to see more this ends up because I was like I wanna see how Jason Coaches a team during a pandemic you. Okay. Well, that's I. Mean there's credits at the end where it has like the fake name credits who watches who's who's ever watched credits. To have an apple TV do you know what happens when you want to show you click on the thing as soon as it gets seen as like you want to see the next episode you go yes who watches credits Jason even if you're watching on cable TV the credits lecturing to the bottom of the screen and then the next TV show starts I don't you are you calling read what's happening in their terms and conditions company you're GonNa make me seem like I'm crazy because I don't watch Craig no one watches credits no, I mean you're not wrong. You're not wrong very few people do look for my respected. That's just a compliment that you thought I was really doing it and Yeah I, I have to take it at that point. Is this after a lot of wind? Do you watch TV after like a couple bottles that? I think that's a very personal question to us on on life. You could ask me this after the interview I mean my home you know. Why. Now I feel like that's like a personal dig me as a person. Why would that be a dig my? TV watcher I mean you said in a very clumsy way but what you said to me, are you a drunk watcher of TV YOU You depressed you sit at home and drink drink wine and watch TV I meant where your defenses down where you know it was the self editor inside of all of us with that little voice may be you know Chilled out food. Veritas, maybe even your appreciation and maybe I'm being self abasing a little Hummel. I was SOBA Jason. I was so bad. It was an amazing show and I'm looking at you take that away from me. Your show is made in such a real heartfelt way that I thought it was a documentary. And I'm willing to take that I'm I'm I'm the kind of person in therapy I've learned that I can I can admit I've made a mistake. My my ego doesn't block me I made a mistake. I'm sorry that your show is so amazing that I thought it was a documentary I'm sorry I just think maybe you should say the people when they click on the thing when they started watching it, you should be like please no, this is a fake show. With game of thrones you know because there's dragons I'm like this is probably not a real show but then I watch a show about soccer guy and it's you and then Do. You know what I mean. I do get it. I get another as there's a big difference there it's not like you speak in a British accent you still you're American one, hundred, percent I'm super. American right your voice is a little different but I just thought like maybe you're trying to ingratiate yourself to them something that's what was happening in on a little bit. Yeah. Like you know I, get we did we did we did fake stuff inside real stuff you know. You see Roger Rabbit. Yes. You see now now. I'm. As we say, as we say in therapy, we may have missed each other on the freeway, but we were both driving on the same road. True that Wilson sets I and I apologize if I may have come off as hostile that wasn't my intention I, I understand it..

"Took to twitter to celebrate. She says, quote President Trump has once again defeated China welcome home said he has experienced as commander-in-chief. He has experience as a businessman he has experienced now of fighting the corona virus as an individual those first hand experiences Joe Biden, he doesn't have those really. Joe Biden doesn't have the experience of being infected with Corona. Man. You almost got to appreciate the balls of the trump campaign who else would come out and say look, do we really want to vote for someone who understands how masks work I mean by that logic trump card understand any issue until he gets his ASS kicked by at first He should be going around like how can Joe Biden and save the auto industry when he has smashed his hand closed in the trunk. I. Look Man. There's nothing noble about getting corona because you refused to be safe. But if they're claiming that trump has gained valuable experience from personally being infected with the coronavirus. Well, what exactly is it that trump has learned today the president sending this message tweeting flu season is coming up many people every year sometimes over one hundred thousand and despite the vaccine die from the flu are we going to close down our country? No, we have learned to live with it just like we are learning to live with Kovin in most populations far less lethal and the president of the United States comparing it to the flu yet again, going back to messaging, he used in March. Off Company we're back to this. It's just like the flu. We're back to this. How will we back to this look? I don't know how it's possible to see all the damage that corona virus has done this year. Then get seriously sick from it yourself, and then come out of the hospital and say it's no big deal. It's just like the flu you would think that somewhere along that journey. Trump would pick up a tiny tiny bit of knowledge but hey. Maybe, he's immune to that too I. Don't know. All right. We'll take a quick break..
Trump 'Itching' to Get Back on Campaign Trail
"Daniel Lippman, White House reporter at Politico and author of Politicos Great Weekend reads column to offer some thoughts about the president now after his return to the White House. And of course, the president has been seen not worrying a mask on his return to the White House. He did mask to take a a brief trip outside Walter Reed Hospital. Two way but his supporters, both of which have gotten him a considerably more grief from those inclined to do so, Daniel. Sometimes it almost seems to be like the president seeks out ways in which he can receive grief for people. Yeah, That's one way to put it. Hey, is very good at Felicity. Negative reaction from His detractors. And so it seems like every day comes up with new ways ahead, which is just so amazing. But, you know, I think he wants to project strength he wants to say he used in the final stages of beating this virus. But what he doesn't realize are you not acknowledging that he's getting the best medical care? He has a huge team of doctors, nurses the best in the world world class. Medicines and trials He's on on. Most Americans are not president, and they don't have access to all of them on stuff to make their illness better, and number seven million Americans have gone coronavirus 210,000 people have died. I am wondering about his actual status. There's some mixed signals on that. We were told in the beginning everything was fine than the White House chief of staff offered thoughts that the president was in fact, in a bit of distress for awhile, then we're told the president was very angry at At that view being expressed that he has, of course since then tried to exhibit Ah ah! Ah, A man who is ah, on top of it, if you will, although I'm not sure in the case of the Corona virus when when symptoms can vary so much from severe all the way down to asymptomatic. Do we really have a handle? On just how the president is doing. Hey, seems to be doing better. But Aah! If you watched the video of him on the Truman balcony, he was gasping for air a little bit, and so Chalk it up to the trip or what? Not, but still on that, you know, leaving the Drudge report, you know, read by millions of conservative in the girls tonight on, you know, there's the family's kind of divided in that. Don Jr and the kids. They were little. Some of the kids were little apprehensive. At what You know how trump kind of operated in terms of how you want to get out of the hospital. He wanted to do that. Ah, joyride last night that exposed on those agents. Oh, And so that is a really concern in kind of trump world that ah, whether he has learned the right lessons from this pandemic, or is he going to continue to Kind of ignore mainstream doctor's advice. Right. And what does that mean for her kind of the future of the Corona virus outbreak in America when they can't even keep the president safe? Well now You know the rest. American allies under all is well all is under control. Looking at the campaign now, with four weeks and a day as we speak left Until we actually arrive at election night, although many ballots who have already been cast Uh, do we have any indication at all of how this is all playing? Is there Ah, a sympathy vote for the president. Are there those who consider his behavior to be reckless, which presumably would be against the president? Do we know how this is playing politically? Um, yeah. So we don't know exactly. How every has returned to the White House is plain. But there is AH, you know, senior citizens. He is not doing that well in among them because They have been the worst affected by the pandemic. Ah, and they kind of look at his behavior and they think it's been reckless, irresponsible, having huge rallies. Not social distancing of 30 people so far, who have gotten Dick. These tested positive for the Corona virus that have interacted with Trump in last week on so we can have so that is causing really concern among Republicans say that You know, they feel like the That they've kind of already lost on that the next month. It's only gonna kind of feel the deal. They are very pessimistic about having about how to turn around. The campaign on DH. They see, Trump has not even able to go on the campaign trail that that's just what do we know about whether or not the president is in fact going to resume campaigning? What do we know about the fate of the final two presidential debates after the Wednesday night vice presidential debate? So it is a bit Unclear when he'll return because it just depends on the health. And that's TBD. Uh, day by day process. He hasn't hit the 78 Day seven or eight. During his illness, those air in the critical days. That could go Either way, Khun Go turns severe, uh, you know, go back to the road to recovery or continue on that road in that, you know, that's Wednesday or Thursday. And Thursday and so Be, uh, you know, there is a kind of a feeling that There's mixed messages out of the White House. The lack of good staffers. You have a staff doctor. They are. They don't have tons of credibility, so that makes it harder for her. Them two for Americans to believe what they're saying, and that hurt the campaign as well. And so trump where she wants to go back to those rallies. Get that adulation, but He's having to put that on all because Doesn't want to, you know, exposed, you know lots of people, and I don't think Americans would want to go to those rather in the first place. How has this affected the Biden Harris campaign? Well, they're of course, they say the right things about praying for the president's health coming back. But They are, you know, and they're actually happy, too. Give it to a more positive message. Everyone's who were on the road. They're not stuck in a basement anymore. And so that makes it easier for them too. Kind of point to that there the party of normalcy that I want to, you know, really put America safely. Um, And so, while the trump campaign kind of fuzzy avert their virtual events Other things like that. So buying campaign feels like they're way out in the polls. 14 points. NATIONAL Horton NBC News Wall Street Journal, Um, left It leaves in other states that are in other polls. And so they found a much stronger position than Hillary Clinton was. Much more widely despised of the campaign, then

"Medical care twenty four seven. So. What can we glean from the treatment president? Trump has received so far about where he's at right now. Joining us with insight is WSJ reporter Anna, wild? Not Use Anna thanks for being here. Thank you. So let's start with what we know about the president's symptoms. His doctors say he's doing much better now but we know that he had a high fever on Friday and that he has experienced two drops in oxygen saturation levels. What does that mean and how concerning is it? Well it's concerning because it's a sign that the virus has moved into the lungs. So it's no longer just in the upper respiratory tract, but has become a lower respiratory illness. The worry is that the virus infects the cells that line the air sacs in the lungs and effect lung functioning shortness of breath is a sign that the virus may be doing some damage in the lungs that said I believe the last word we had was that the president had received supplemental oxygen twice but was no longer receiving it as of Sunday and that his oxygen saturation levels were back up at around ninety eight percent at that point one thing the president's doctors have. Declined, to elaborate on is what the president's lung scans have shown. Why would that be important for covid nineteen patient that's extremely important because people want to know if the president has developed pneumonia and so far the physicians who are treating him have said in speaking about his long scans that quote there are some expected findings but nothing of any major clinical concern in cova the viral pneumonia, it produces a distinctive pattern. Lung Skins sort of hazy gray circular spots that indicate that air in the lungs is being replaced by cells inflammation fluid, bree, other stuff that starts to turn grey or even white, and that is a very concerning indication if you see it. Okay let's talk about the treatments president trump is receiving first there is an experimental antibody drug cocktail from regeneration, and secondly there's a five day course of the antiviral drug Ram. Desert here. Can you explain what of these drugs is supposed to do and why the president might be receiving them? These two treatments do different things the experimental antibody drug cocktail from regeneration, which is at this point not an approved treatment is supposed to provide antibodies to help president trump's own body battle off the virus. It provides antibodies at a very early stage and the goal is to help limit spread of the virus at that early stage. Before the patient's own body is even responding in terms of its immune response. The other drug severe does something very different. It's an antiviral drug it seeks to interfere with the corona viruses ability to replicate within a patient cells. Then, there's a steroid call decks medicine. It has been shown to help severely ill covid nineteen patients. What do we know about that and does indicate that president trump is in fact severely ill, it's not clear that treatment is typically given to people who are quite ill. The goal is to dampen the effects of an overactive immune system. It's an anti inflammatory in multiple studies that involved a total of. Seventeen hundred patients steroids have been shown to reduce deaths so it it has been shown to be effective however, the concern or the danger is that you dampen the immune response too much. They're trying to strike a balance. All right. So let's take a step back and look at the mixing of all these treatments as a health reporter. Is there anything that jumps out to you about this list of drugs? Well two of them at this point are fairly widely accepted treatments. The antibody cocktail is not that still experimental. All of these things are doing different things Interestingly, the antibody cocktail is supposed to help boost immune response. The storied is supposed to ensure there isn't too much of a different type of immune response. What doctors have said is that these drugs are designed to work in different ways and do different things but you want to monitor any patient who is on them very carefully to just make sure that they're interacting in an okay way. So White House, Dr Shawn, Conley made it clear that president trump will still be under medical supervision? We all remain cautiously optimistic. and. On Guard because we're in a bit of unchartered territory when it comes to patient that received the therapy has so early in the course. So we're looking to this weekend if.

How Sick Is Donald Trump?
"How sick is donald trump in a video he posted this weekend from hospital. He said he faced a test and his expression was certainly that of a man who is less than healthy but coupled with conflicting reports on the president's health with one doctor saying he was better but another confirming the use of a drug usually reserved for the gravest of ill patients, the communication seem in disarray, and then suddenly the president emerged in his car to greet well-wishers gathered outside the Walter Reed. Hospital. Monaco's US election correspondent has more. Well on Sunday, we did get fatty remarkable sight of a convoy of cars traveling around the complex the Medical Center where Donald Trump is receiving treatment He was in the back seat of one of the vehicles wearing a mosque waving the people who have traveled in some cases huge distances right across the country to be at the medical complex and to wish the president. Well, it followed a weekend of fairly a fairly confusing picture of. The timeline of when the president tested positive when he and his White House staff knew of the diagnosis but also of his The state of his health as well. We have been told that over the weekend, he was given a supplemental oxygen treatment twice at two points during the weekend and he was also given steroids neither medical commentary that's come out around that over the weekend suggests that the infection could have been fairly severe that for other cases for other patients being treated for the Corona Virus that steroids example only used if the infection is fairly severe. Doctors have said that they may well discharge the president some point. Either on Monday today or this coming week Joe Biden Donald. Trump's rival for the White House. He announced again that on Sunday he had been tested once more on the test had. Proven negative. There is a suggestion that because it's a little unclear exactly when the president was infectious and potentially contagious with corona virus that whether diagnosis for Joe Biden himself which show up yet it does take around five days. So medical commentators in the United States are saying sometimes much longer that Joe Biden has said he will travel to Florida this week for a campaign event. He is stating that he is getting tested regularly. There is some commentary exactly around the nature of those tests are an elsewhere in the President Circle William Bar the attorney general on Sunday was that he is now self isolating as well. He was at that event at the White House on the Saturday at the unveiling of Amy Barrett as the nominee for the supreme court to replace. Wreath Ginsburg it does appear that many of the positive infections that have now come and being reported for many of Donald Trump's closest allies now does seem to be circling in on that event on that Saturday particularly on the indoor reception that took place within the White House on that day. So it's still an unpredictable picture and an unprecedented one as we am to these final weeks of the election campaign

Physician's comments raise questions on Trump's COVID-19 timeline
"Late tonight president trump posted a lengthy address to the nation via twitter from Walter Reed Hospital talking about Kovic, and his condition. The president says he is feeling better and thinks he will be back soon. A now day after leaving the White House for the hospital the questions are only growing a briefing from his medical team added to the confusion raising new questions about when the president knew he was sick and a White House official painting the less rosy picture that his medical team saying the next forty eight hours are critical. We're going to work through all of this for you tonight with our reporting from across the country and our medical expert we begin with Kelly O'Donnell who is it? What to Read Medical Center? Ten White Coats stepping forward for the first time with an assessment of the hospitalized presence condition team and I are extremely happy with the progress. The president has made. That optimism from White House physician Sean Connolly was quickly followed by confusing information about when the president became ill to seventy two hours into the diagnosis now. That would mean a Wednesday diagnosis. Not Thursday suggesting president trump knowingly traveled to a Minnesota Rally and a fundraiser at his Bedminster Club in New Jersey with Cova. But later, the White House issued this memo to correct the timeline Dr Conley writing I incorrectly used the term seventy, two hours instead of day three Thursday afternoon following. The News of a close contact is one week repeated testing. and giving kind of clinical applications at a little bit more concern. Another issue use of Supplemental Oxygen Dr Conley spoke in present tense. He's not on oxygen right now. That's right. And evaded when reporters repeatedly pressed for clarity there's Day. No oxygen none at this moment. Yeah, and yesterday with the team while we were all here, he was not on Oxygen But the Associated Press and New York Times report that President Trump was given oxygen Friday before he was hospitalized and more worrisome a source familiar with president trump's condition told reporters today the next forty eight hours will be critical in terms of his care. We are still not on a clear path to a full recovery.

What Trump's Covid-19 diagnosis means for the country
"Were always joined on Saturday morning by John Gizzi. He is the White House correspondent and chief political columnist of newsmax dot com and Newsmax TV, John. Good morning. Good morning, Rick. And what a night it wass. Well, obviously, we're following the latest developments on President Trump and his diagnosis with covert 19. What is the latest you're hearing on the president. The president is resting comfortably at the Walter Reed Hospital where yesterday he left the White House. And arrived at the hospital. I might and he left the White House in his usual business suit looking as he always does. Uh, this is not someone who has been felled by the virus. But simply has symptoms of the Corona virus, and he will rest there until doctors say he can come out. Which effectively scotches the debate. Scheduled for October. 15th. But it doesn't mean he's going to be in the hospital through the rest of the campaign, and we may see a newer and better Donald Trump emerged from Walter Reed. For now, all signs are that he's resting and that this is not anything that Americans should be nervous about. John. We know the Corona virus hits each individual differently, assuming the best for the president, where he quarantines for the 14 days and gets through this What is the impact on the campaign for the impact on the campaign is that right now there's an absentee candidate that the president cannot have is make America great again Rallies. He cannot debate He cannot issue pronouncements, although one as the impression after covering Donald Trump for the past four years that no hospital and no confinement Ooh! Ah hospital bed is going to keep him away from his tweeting. Uh, hey, certainly can campaign that way. And another thing. We have a long history in America of candidates who are hospitalized or injured who actually do well as their supporters carry on for them. When he made his first center base in 1948 Congressman Lyndon B. Johnson was laid up for a period with very brutal, Cole. His wife, Lady Bird and others served is very effective Speakers and he went on to win hard fought race. I know of a case of another candidate, Arch war who was elected governor of West Virginia after surviving a helicopter crash. So just because it candidate is hospitalized or unhealthy doesn't mean it's a foregone conclusion. He'll lose well, John. Obviously, we know the polarization across the country and the polarization in the media. And there will be a lot of talk about the 25th amendment, and I just wanted to get sort of a factual look. At the 25th amendment. So when people hear the pundits talking about it, they understand it. Alright, 25th amendment was passed. In the late 19 sixties. It is known as the Presidential Succession Amendment. Its functions are twofold. One Puts into law what had been an informal agreement between presidents and their vice presidents. For a long time before them. And that means when the president is incapacitated, say is when he goes under the knife. For surgery, He turns over the powers. Of his office to his number two who effectively becomes acting President Richard Nixon served his acting president after a heart attack. President Dwight Eisenhower, and after a mild stroke, the president suffered Similarly, when Lyndon Johnson had surgery, Hubert Humphrey was the acting president and Dido for George H. W. Bush. Under Ronald Reagan when he had cancer surgery in his second term. The other part of the amendment is that if the vice president succeeds to the presidency, he or she can then designate Vice president that the Senate must give its advice and consent to I might add that when a president is declared unable to continue in his office for health reasons, the 25th amendment can be invoked. By the vice president and his succession to the top job can be insured. Post debate. Polls are now being released Thursday morning, NBC News National Polling had Biden up 7.9 points over President Trump Real clear politics showing Biden with a 6.6 lead over Trump Fivethirtyeight national polling tracker gave Biden the 7.6 advantage. President didn't seem to gain any ground whatsoever in the debates. Possibly lost some ground. What's your analysis is, we move forward. First of all, I do believe that the polls accurately reflect The post debate. Momentum is with Joe Biden, and it has very little to do with the debate itself. But with the media's interpretation of how candidates Trump and Biden acquitted themselves on national television, and of course, the opinion off the punditocracy is almost unanimous. The president was ruled. He interrupted. He had no consistent thought. And Joe Biden was a gentleman. That is their opinion. Which is being repeated by a lot of people. There's two factors that leaves this reporter to say that these numbers might have flaws in them. The first is the hidden vote. There's a lot of people, certainly, as was the case in 2016, who just won't admit they're voting for Donald Trump. Obviously they do so when they're in the voting booth. The other is that Joe Biden right now, by being cool, is holding on and appearing a front runner. Did. Donald Trump loses the debate? It all depends on who you ask. Chuck Booth, commentator and conservative activists from Nevada said the president decided to use this format to speak directly. To his base of supporters and try and rally them to the polls. He compared the president's performance and his refusal to abide by Time outs to the scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when Butch is facing a much larger man and challenges him to a knife fight. And then says, but we have to go through the rules. The other man says there's no rules in a knife fight at which point which kicks him. And effectively weakens and subdues him. That's what the president's goal Wass with Joe Biden and to his base, he succeeded. So let's turn to the impact on the Senate and the Congress a lot of business to attend to, including the nomination of Amy Cockney Barrett to the Supreme Court. We take pause for well wishes from Democrats. But as we can see in the Chuck Schumer tweet, it is a one sentence pause. And then we're back into politics. Here's what he said Friday night. We now have two members of the Senate Judiciary Committee who have tested positive for covert and there may be more. I wish my colleagues well, so that's the nicety. And here's the politics. It is irresponsible and dangerous to move forward with the hearing, and there was absolutely no good reason to do so. Well, I would just say that the distinguished minority leader of the Senate, Senator Schumer should look a little bit more. At the rules of the Senate as wrong is there is a quorum of senators in the committee. They could move along, particularly if chairman gavels in now what he's referring to are Senator Mike Lee of Utah and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. Both Judiciary Committee members and both presently incapacitated by the Corona virus. Both could easily recover in a short time. Remember the Judiciary Committee hearings on drugs, Parrots nomination don't begin until the 14th of Oct over. So any judgments about Senator Tillis or Senator Lee? Not being in the job in two weeks is a bit premature. That's the Supreme Court debate. Let's talk about the stimulus deal. New York Times Reporting. Speaker Pelosi said that the president's positive Corona virus test could change the dynamic and produce a Nagre mint on additional pandemic relief. But a compromise remains elusive. The gist of it from Speaker Pelosi is that now the Republicans will take Corona virus more seriously. Well, where do we

"This is special coverage of President Trump Struggle Was Cove it? He is now in Walter Reed Hospital as he's being treated and monitored by doctors who want to bring in now U. S. Senator. From Louisiana. A Bill Cassidy, who is an experienced doctor, as well as a center, and you also had covert as well, Senator. We do appreciate this perspective, and I want to get your medical opinion first. We know very little about how actually President Trump is feeling in doing. Do you know anything else? I don't I in public statement by his position is that he hasn't come peti the mild symptoms and that would typically be out there, giving them to Regeneron product. Which you get three different situation. You could give it the kind of prophylaxis I've been exposed. Let me take that keeps me from evidence you could give us in the first stage of the illness. Which is where you're just trying to limit the spread. And then you can give it a tienda mass of those kind of rescue Somebody who's in the U. Early in the second stage, and probably just an abundance of caution is the president by the way, but he also has risk factors for severe disease. I'm sure that's what they're thinking. Well, let me let me follow up on that just because in terms of the symbolism of the president of the United States going to be working from Walter Reed for at least the next couple of days. Are you concerned at all that his condition that his that his health might deteriorate in a way that would provide a problem for him to carry out his duties? Of course, you have to be concerned about that. Now it's probably not the case. Just because one is going to get incredible care into the how much we've learned about how to treat a Corona virus has improved dramatically since the beginning of the epidemic. But again, he's older. He's having both the risk factors. So we just have to add every day break for everybody. That Corona virus he's obviously and his wife are obviously part of that population. Now we have to be concerned. We talked about the health of the president. And now let's talk about the health of the economy because as it relates to the new economic news that we got today, on the unemployment front, there's talks of stimulus that have been ongoing. Do you think this might Provide the the impetus that is needed to get to a compromise for more fiscal stimulus Senator No if only because folks would not more uncertainty. It may be. Why Pelosi, Mnuchin pull it together. And obviously, Pelosi will play hardball and is willing for the economy, too adamant certainty, but this might be a little bit too much. That said, You still have to have a deal, which is a reasonable deal. And so we'll wait and see. I hope it is. Is there a number deal that you support Senator No the president had come out with about 1.5 Trillion was being spoken up. Now you hear is around that ball, but it also includes a excludes a state local government. And the exclude the personal assistant check. Now that's about 600 billion or 800 billion right there if you exclude him when the package is actually in reality, more like 2.3 trucks. Some folks, you're gonna have a hard time with that number. You know the effective number if you will, if that's what it turned out to be, and by the way, we all have to be. They want other provisions on related to Corona virus. If they still have the provisions related to Corona virus. That'll make it a tougher pull as well. So would you support the 2.3 trillion once it's scaled up. No, I was not supported. 2.3 trillion, um, get a lot of that 2.3 trillion was things unrelated to Corona virus. Maybe great policy is unrelated to clone a virus. The policy should be Senator, Senator Bill Cassidy is with us. He's a Republican from Louisiana. We just had a little bit of a connection issue with his phone, senator, if you're still there, and you can hear me. I hope you can. I want to ask you just from there we do, have you? I just want to ask you from a broader standpoint, you know, I was asking all all of my sources throughout the last 12 hours. I mean, is this story has unfolded. Do you think it's raised new questions about the protocols and procedures that are in place? Not just at the White House, but also on Capitol Hill and the president and the example that that sets for the private sector all around this country, big businesses and small businesses. Well, of course, you have to constantly evaluates your protocols. It is hard to avoid contact. I took all the precautions worry mass washing hands, etcetera. My aide picked me up at the airport. New Orleans drove me home to Baton Rouge. We both more mass. But we're in the car for an hour and a half. I got Corona bar because he was diagnosed several days later. So it is hard to actually be, um, thoroughly protected even as much protection of the president received, so we have to be humble of re approaching. What do you think? What would you like to see done in terms of in terms of the protocol or the procedures that need to increase, especially when you've got dozens of lawmakers and their staffers interacting with each other at political events at the White House and, of course in Congress as well. You know if it's anything like school Most people who are discovered to be infected in schools..

So thank you very much. I appreciate it. A president begin to work from the hospital's presidential office. He will also not be returning to the campaign trail, at least for some time. I'm not upset. He's going to Walter Reed because I think it's it's an amazing medical center. It will get the best care. But it does concern me that at this rapid point, if, in fact he really last night tested, and he wasn't struggling for a couple days before that, this is really it's happening fast. There's a part of me that wonders and we won't know. Could he have been exposed a little earlier? Because symptom like the fever you usually don't see on day one, usually alone, of course, said to be suffering from a low grade fever. Cough congestion and a headache. But we're going to make sure that things work out. The first lady is doing very well. So thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'll never forget. Thank you. President Trump in a Twitter message that was released a short time after he arrived at Walter Reed Hospital today. Hey, arrived via helicopter Marine one took off from the White House. It's a very short flight, but It is less disruptive with traffic and more reliable in many ways, and he walked to the helicopter and then walked into a waiting motorcade to take him to the hospital from the landing area at Walter Reed. And as you said, he said, are you heard him say he thinks he's doing very well. There are reports from CNN and others that he was a little concerned last night. More concerned that you might expect than when we first got the results. So news nation was carrying that you heard much of the coverage. Their news nation also talked to an historian Joshua Douglas, who's a professor at the University of Kentucky, about the 25th amendment. Conversations that are happening surely are about whether the president needs to invoke the 25th amendment and name Vice president. Pence is the acting president and also another mechanism. It's the president refuses to do so, but a majority of his Cabinet full use. He's unable to execute the powers of his office, and they can invoke the 25th amendment as well. So there's a way to do it if the president is unwilling to do it himself. That's the jaded the historian Joshua Douglas talking. They also talked to an epidemiologist Dr James Baker, and he's worked in past administrations. And he says the fact that the president was brought to Walter Reed Hospital is actually a good thing. So I think actually the pig transport him in some ways good news. The president. I actually was a military physician of Walter Reed for over 10 years and I agree with Michael Bush. Any type of visit Walter Reed from the White House usually occurred by helicopter. That was the standard if the president were acutely ill if he was having us between distress or some type of acute problem He'd be going down the cost this hospital much like Reagan, there that George Washington Hospital when it was shot, So I think this suggests that there truly is a precautionary Sze. It's being done so that you could be closer monitored and his breathing and other functions could be taken into account work closely. Dr. James Baker on news nation earlier today was also asked about This antibody cocktail that the president received earlier. The experimental treatment that he got work antibodies against the virus. And this is different than the players, no confusions that people have been getting these air monocle know Anna by specific antibodies to neutralize the virus Early on. There's been some data that's been submitted to the FDA. That suggests that these antibodies can neutralize the virus and can improve the outcome of people. I'm sure he'll also be giving one death severe, which is the anti viral drug that's been shown to be effective as well. A steroids and those of the three things we know that potentially could help him. The good news is that his symptoms are not dis conserving having a fever. Not feeling well. Sort of. My al Jas is not unusual for someone his age. I think the really issue is we have monitored closely for respite way issues because when people get really ill from Cove in 19, that's because they don't breathe. Well. They can't get oxygen into their body. So unfair. I think that's why he's being taken to Walter Reed to make sure that they have whatever they need to maintain his respirations if they become faltering course. The president is 74 years old. He is also overweight and those air to conditions that can lead to more trouble, though it's but it's important to point out that That while the odds are increase that he could have a difficult situation, they still remain pretty low, so I don't have a personal knowledge of his health situation. But yes, those air three risk factors even with those risk factors. If you look at the potential for survival in a 70 year old, it's greater than 90%. So the fact that he has thes respect ER's doesn't mean that this is going to be a native outcome, but it does mean that we have to monitor him carefully to give him every drug and potential to help with this treatment. I'm sure there was a point in there. He was reading from prompter. And maybe he got a little confused. So there have been more than a few of these occasions, which have called into question. You know how he's doing. Okay. This is not in any way, shape or form make fun of the prop. Former vice president Anyone who speaks in public Can mess words up upon occasion. He's done it. I think you know with some frequency. I think most people would agree with that. Ah, which which has raised questions again and his age he's could be 78. In November If I'm not mistaken. Ah, yeah, yeah, it'll be 78 years of age in November. And those air. You know, those are legitimate questions. We'll have to see how he does on the campaign trail. He was out there today. He did an event today. I believe was in Delaware is back in Delaware. He will carry Delaware right now. I'll tell you he will carry Delaware. Hey, spent a lot of time in Delaware. When President Trump went to Walter Reed Hospital. No, I can't caught that out of the corner of my eye during the day on CNN, and I thought, Wow, this is the president in Walter Reed Hospital. Campaign for Democratic candidates, and also I believe they used the White House press secretary for a while for Bill Clinton is a CNN contributor of CNN Guest and he basically Asked on Twitter. Whether Trump had had a stroke while he's in a while, which he is hiding from the American public. I don't think that's a serious thing. I I didn't I thought that he was going yesterday to Kenosha, Wisconsin, So I finally when it caught up with it. This was about something that may or may not have happened last November, Okay? So yesterday, Um, the book said that the vice president have been put on notice that The president back in November. I might The incapacitated Now, of course, in order to be incapacitated. You wouldn't just not just for regular physical or something that you have to be have something like Ah, real serious. Problem.
