"When employees feel supported businesses become more than a place of work, they become a work of art. U K G R purposes people. It's how I built this from NPR. I'm guy Raz. When it comes to thinking about who is an entrepreneur, we often overlook people who get their start in the creative arts. I mean, think about Walt Disney. Before he built what would become one of the biggest media companies in history. He created the most iconic cartoon character in history, but for his time, he was pretty unusual. Artists usually make their money by selling their art, their acting skills, their paintings, their music, their novels. But over the past decade, more and more creative types have started to take more control over how their work is used, and in some cases to own and distribute and market their own work. This is how Ava Duvernay has constructed her entire career. She's not only one of the most entrepreneurial creators in Hollywood but increasingly one of the most influential now you might think of Ava as a director. Her documentary 13th, about mass incarceration in the United States was nominated for an Academy Award and her drama when they see US based on an assault in Central Park and the wrongful conviction of black and Latino teenagers made a huge impact when it was released in 2019. Abbas directed big budget for Arms like a wrinkle in time and historical dramas like Selma, But her directing business is only one part of a much bigger enterprise. Even a movement that Eva Duvernay has built from the ground up. She began her career as a publicist and at age 27 started her own publicity agency. She's self financed her first films. And because she had a background in marketing and knew how to network she.

Which Walt Disney World Rides Are Better at Night

"Going to talk about. What are the best rides to ride at night in each park and a long time ago. I think we did an episode on disney after dark. But this time we're going to focus in on rides and i would thank important. There's certain things well. There's some other stuff. That's cool at night like world showcase and you know some areas with cool mood lighting like tomorrowland's pretty cool at night minus the speed with yesterday land but there are certain rides that really shine at night much more so than others. So we're going to dive into that. We will go park by park like we'd like to go i think. Do you have a park. you'd like to start with magic kingdom. Of course the classics also has some of the most i would say has the most rides. Yeah it also because you know me. I actually made a list class so and it does have the most rides. I think are extra special at night. Let's start with you. Why don't you tell me what would be your first ride. That add magic kingdom that you think i think we're saying is different and or better at night. No one ever tells me anything. So i don't really have a list but i like more off the top of your head. I like tomorrowland at night. Because it's more not spacey. But just i don't know it's it's cooler at night. I like the people mover at night. Tomorrowland transit authority. I think that's really fun to do at night. Why do you think it's fun to do at night versus the day okay. Do you like it better at night. Yes why because we'll i just like the night better in general but i on. It's like darker upside and so you almost get to see more of borland as it's cooler because you can see more when it's not so light and blinding and you're just kind of high and annoyed. I would actually agree. That tomorrowland itself is better at nice way better at night in the day. It's not bad it's it's sort of unawed land in the day it doesn't come together as well as the other lands do in terms of a sort of theme look and feel it's all concrete it's a bit scattered. It's got a bunch of random neon signs even stitches. Great escape sorta still sitting there but at night when the sort of neon and spay slate stuff. We consider future. Like you know when you see movies. That's it does look better night. There's the new tomorrowland entrance sign. So yeah i would agree.

Is it Possible to Relax at Walt Disney World?

"Do you think you should relax. On a walt disney world vacation. I'm so d'you relaxed. The question is how can you not relax. A walt disney world vacation. Don't go telling me that pounding. The parks is relaxing relaxing. So i'm talking about truly relaxing. Quiet not necessarily quiet time but things that go. Well just give it like this. Oh i'm at the upcoming five billion look at me. I'm so relaxed. I'm walking up mainstream. Lick me. I'm so relying on talking about fake relaxed for pitchers. Excuse me so. let's talk about. How do you do it. How do you relax on a walt disney world vacation and if you're really are an experienced traveler you know what i'm talking about. I want to hear your tips this week as well as we go out on social media at nineteen twenty three main street likely always to but my number one and i think the most important tip of all and i say it again and again and again is do not i repeat. Do not know. I'm gonna say over schedule. That's right. do not over plan because if you have yourself scheduled to death you will definitely not relax. And that's why. I say that's a newbie mistake. I just love how you do you. Just the biggest hypocrite just ever know. I always leave time. I never go to the park for eight hours ten hours. I'll go for three or four at the most out of time and then we head back. We're usually back will usually eat lunch in the park. If we're going in the morning which normally we especially now with no fast passes. Does it count if it's broken up. If what's broken up the time in the parks because for example you can go to animal kingdom for four hours in the day and then go to magic kingdom later for extra magic hour this because you are proving my point and what are we doing in between relaxing. La i think it's more stressful. When you're not at the party being a breather. We'll try to think like a normal person. And now i'll admit there are people who can found the parks and not relaxed but for the average especially new disney traveler. You can relax and not only can you you should

How To Entertain, Even If Youre An Introvert

"How to entertain. Even if that's not your thing when you have stories to share an audience behind you entertaining as what is being informative and helpful to your audience is definitely something to think about bringing a sense of showmanship to you. Because it's not about showing off all self promotion about consciously adding dynamic then very few fully exploit. You can still have a focus business approach but one that comes with a sense of sickly since. We've all had a lot to do since spring twenty twenty walt. Disney made a really good point. By saying i would rather entertain and hope that people learn something than educate people and hope they were entertained. We'll pass state not digital evolution. Where company wins list. -chools cues are all the content. We need to connect on a personal level. Being entertaining is the thing to do. Someone commented on a promotion for the the media month of learning calls saying that he didn't very professional assure. Video of me shouting. People's names is probably the last thing that someone expect if they are looking for a straight laced b2b awful to the people who are looking at it for the first time when it popped up as a social post it could have looked ought but those who are familiar with a high energy levels that you were the media result of about fitted ryan vanity is something that those who are the you the media community have come to expect. It's important to be personal. It's also important to have fun. Here's how you hold the attention of your audience. If you create content then you are effectively a content producer wherever you like it or not. You need to put on a good show. Otherwise people will walk away for more than a year. People have had to sit through webinars and online presentations like czars devoid of smiles. Even if your introvert by nature. Improvising even showboating commendable giving you a significant advantage.

The Bare Necessities: Packing for a Walt Disney World Vacation

"We are indeed talking about packing for walt disney world vacation now. Is there even packing strategy. Yes i don't have one. I have one well. I guess i do. I don't think it's a strategy. But i will talk about how i packed. I know you go a little bit more in-depth with your packing well. How can you not go in depth. It's what you need for light. Let me start this episode. Which i've resisted doing for longtime. Because i just don't think packing for disney's big deal soaring and ask you. This question is packing for a disney vacation. Any different then packing for any other vacation. Well yes and no all right. Explain well because you see when you pack for a disney vacation you kind of have to be on just because you also do bring some disney pieces. But then also more specifically we pay for it. Because florida's i mean maybe if we're going to florida it's different but when you're going to disney you are in the parks day or will at least we do it so it's kind of hot. See after like if it during the summer to bring silly tanked up so you have to plan more specifically for disney which is different than when you pack anywhere else and that's because you're talking about the parks yet the park factor to your packing which is even if you're going to be something like you're spending a lot of time there like every single day so you'd have to pack differently when you're doing that and also i just find packing for disney more fun so i would have to say. I have no different strategy. So i'm going to challenge you all the way along the way i pack for disney big or so. We can even go deeper way. Pack for a walt disney world vacation or a disney alani vacation or. It's different even within. It's not for me though reports different for me. It's all the same. I will have the exact same stuff no matter what pretty much unless it's a winter vacation so any vacation where it's warm weather. I pack the exact same way.

"The new one hundred and one dull nations villain origin story crew ella seemed to be a real love or hate flick or more like a lukewarm dislike or confused enthusiasm based on reviews with titles like weird but i think i like it whatever the reaction the film seems to have been pretty far from what people were expecting mostly because it has almost nothing to do with the one hundred and one puppies that made guerrilla deville famous but sixty years before this any chaotic punk tinged origin story the world got its first film adaptation of dodie. I never knew that the canine cartoon marked a crucial turning points in the history of animation. And one which disney may not have ever made it to the other side of had. The movie not worked out. One hundred and one donations marked walt disney animation studios twenty second full length feature animation having been preceded by classics like snow white. Pinocchio fantasia and peter pan. It began development in the late fifties following the box office bomb of sleeping beauty which took six million dollars to make but only earned back five million sleeping. Beauty used the dominant animation technique of the time that required artists to hand trace drawings on transparent celluloid or sell sheets according to smithsonian magazine reported on this moment in animation history. Disney movies usually have one to two dozen cells per second so in total sleeping. Beauty had almost one million cells. That's one million drawings done and traced by hand a ton of work for a movie that ended up costing the studio a million dollars.

Real vs Urban Legends

"This podcast was inspired by mike. Who sent me an email. Asking are true mysteries of the pacific northwest. Nothing more than urban legends inspired by a book. I checked out from the rogue valley metaphysical library and trying to answer that question. The book was written by an authority. Who shall remain nameless. The book contains some events that are no more than a figment of someone or an urban legend. Like the dog that ate a tiny cell foam and every time someone called stomach would rain. Some were started by celebrities like mickey rooney claiming that he had influence walt disney to call his cartoon mouse mickey mouse. Then there's urban legend about elvis presley giving a harley davidson motorcycle to actor james dean. Well sorry. none of these happened before. I reveal my favorite urban legends. I need to explain how i separate real and true from something invented by a person with an ulterior motive or an urban legend occasionally. I do find a witness or participant to an event that can't be explained away and are willing to talk about it but that's the exception not the rule. Most people are reluctant. Admit that they saw ghost or heard strange laughter when they were home alone for fear of being ridiculed. When event is brought to my attention or intrigued by a story on the internet my search for sources begins. I'll start with the photograph of a pterodactyl that appeared on the internet that allegedly dates back to the american civil war in eighteen. Sixty four courting to the story behind the mystery. Image giant flying creature was shot down by soldiers around eighteen sixty four. near the city of vicksburg. The story says it's soldier said the creature was like some kind of unknown bird monster in a surprising. Twist of the story. A second photograph appeared on the internet. That showed a similar scene. A pterodactyl surrounded by men in front of a barn. Now the people. I talked to when i contacted. Authorities said several newspapers in virginia said that one photograph in front of the barn was fake. Now if you drop me. A line kit k. chrome g mail dot com. I'll send you a copy of the two photographs. You can decide for yourself in my research. I found that the photograph of the pterodactyl matched one. Disney Vacation Firsts, plus the Disney World Lightning Pass

"We're gonna take your first things to do when you arrive. At walt disney world disney vacation. I got this idea because someone recently said to me well. What's the first thing you should do when you get there. This is not only on your first visit. These are things that i have planned out to do every time i go right. So let's take it that way. And here's how. I thought we'd start first of all since we're doing disney firsts. And we've had this discussion with a family member recently actually. When is the first time you should take a child now. Of course you can go anytime. I mean there's plenty of newborns encarta around parts i say don't let your child slow you down if you wanna go. I'm just saying if you're thinking about the child. Yes the first time that they would really like understand. Kind of what's happening is just past the to get it. Maybe start to remembered a little bit. Exactly that's what we've found with you so when people ask that question although if you're only going to go once or twice maybe wait a bit more so they will remember it. Yeah here's what we found with amelia at age just over two. She was any younger than that. They may or may not know what's going on. Some kids are actually scared of the characters. I mean they're not necessarily going to be like. Oh look mummy at disneyworld. I fully understand everything now. But at age to you know you're walking and you in particular were completely loving the characters the princesses you interacted with them. You know you get lots of good pictures and videos and all that sorta stuff. I'm not saying i'm brilliant. But so if you're asking the ideal time for a first visit in terms of the child being able to actually have fun. Yeah i'd say anytime past the age of two. Now if you're saying when will remember that peak asian i think for you was around four. Yeah so you get like flashes of it when you re you can't form never remember it through

"Videos of it was a model that was at the walt disney story at the magic kingdom in nineteen ninety one and it lists flying saucers future. Project kinetic jets future project from time to time. Astronomers club alien encounter in auto pia and plug your ears if you love carousel of progress. Because they were gonna take it out and replace it with flying saucers but that was not the only idea. They considered replacing it with at that point in time as well so thankfully we did not get the full. The full extent of discovery land of the disney decade. I think you're right wedding. We can talk more about. What's the the plans were for discovery. Land changes to tomorrowland what what ended up happening. What was discussed in. What some of those future projects you know if you look at that model there were other buildings. They're just said future projects and sort of speculating as to what those war i mean i think give council of progress would have if somebody would have said now. The castle progress would go away. The internet would rise in revolution. But you're right. We've talked about on the show on the blog about the astronomers club which seemed to be even if that full discovery land. Transformation didn't happen. That seemed to be the thing that was a plane that was in flight and was going to happen. Wear that the tomorrowland terrace slash noodle station currently sits and the idea being that immersive theatre like interactive show which eventually became something in a in a in a different sense in the adventure club would have been fascinating to see inside of a theme park and what that would have become and again. That could be a separate conversation. Possibly for a separate show because that really would have completely. You know we're talking about individual attractions here and there. But that really would have changed the entire theme ing and story of an entire land. And i know a lot of people dig that steam punk like aesthetic and referenced that time period and i wonder how well or poorly that might have been received in why that never came to be there were other individual attractions that.

How to Vacation at Disney World, Without Stepping Foot in a Park

"We've done this a few times on our vacations which is vacationing at walt. Disney world. without going to the parks So i i know i enjoy it because we go so often. People always say like. Oh my gosh you know. Five days at disney. I'm just so tired because you know you get up early. Go to the park. Go to bed late and you kind of get burned out that way so this this is a good way to do disney just like any other resort so sharpie you wanna you wanna go with your first Tipper tidbit on vacationing disneyworld. Without going to the parks my first suggestion would be in the way you pack. I know that sounds crazy but always remember that. If you're if you're not going to the park you're you're gonna be dressing in mica resort in resort casual you. Can you can dress up a little bit more. If you're not going to the parks 'cause you know you need to be a little bit more comfortable but also you can take in some of the nicer restaurants and enjoy enjoy. The meal without being rushed so so think ahead to the type of things that you want to do while you're on vacation and pack more resort vacation instead of arcs vacation. That's my first gesture. This is definitely good advice. So you had to to expand on your point of taking this like a resort vacation. And that's how i kind of think of disney world. It's like a resort that you would go like a beach vacation where you go to resort Same thing that. Walt disney world. Where you go to a really nice resort but you just have the added benefit if you wanna go to a park for a little bit Or go to apcoa for dinner or something you could do that But just staying at your resort I i like the idea that where you can take it a more relaxed approach. Because i always feel like all right we gotta get dinner. We gotta get outta dinner. We gotta go see the fireworks over. We gotta be here So there's none of that you're just taking it

We all talk about spanky stocks but to me this was because it gives you an entry into the collectibles market now there are some publicly traded collectibles companies funk. Oh comes to mind. They make those great bobblehead collectibles. You can purchase online or in stores but the opportunity to embrace to invest in baseball card. Collectibles is really neat. You know tops is not a small company more. It's been around for a decades sales last year. Rose twenty three percent year over year. Two five hundred sixty seven million bucks. This is going to be not an immaterial deal. The company will have about five hundred seventy one million cat in cash from the merger. I really like that. Tops is branching out into the most cutting edge type of collectible stare into. Nafta's non fungible tokens for those of you who are crypto enthusiasts. They have digital collectibles. I think last month. They introduced a godzilla. And if t collectible so this is not your father your grandfather's tops anymore. And this is what. I like about spags as much as i. I make fun of them personally. Sometimes they're giving you opportunities as investors opportunities to take part in sectors of the economy that we might not be able to aspects of introduced a lot of us to new avenues into alternative investments in the cloud cope. Collectibles market is an alternative investment avenue. That i've been interested for a long time.

"There's a soviet film from nineteen seventy five called hedgehog in the fog. It's only ten minutes long. It's been called the best animated film of all time for the You're at your committee. Runco she said. I know surgeries now truly. Actually russian animation is a kind of an art. Form the cartoons. They're they're made without the restrictions that your typical american cartoons are like they don't have to be twenty six minutes long space for commercials didn't have to have these continuation of a story. Once the episode this over backing the soviet russia the cartoons were made purely as a way to sort of entertain the kids of course but also as a kind of as kind of arts. They were only as long as they needed to be. The only told the story the way it ought to be told without anything else. And i think people who have seen them. They would easily agree with my statements. It's really something to be seen in may of nineteen twenty eight. Mickey mouse was introduced by walt disney within a few years. Disney animation's were so popular that they're being shown around the world including at a film festival in moscow in nineteen thirty three soviet viewers including joseph stalin fell in love the slogan. Give us a soviet. Mickey mouse became popular and three years later in nineteen thirty six the animation studio so use multiple opened in moscow. A version of it still exists today and many of the films are admired for their sophistication and lack violence as one director. Put it in our films. There's always been less aggression. We stake darla not on action but on psychology humor and a dialogue with the viewer. It came out of the tradition of russian folktales hedgehog in the fog follows a worried seeming hedgehog who gets lost in a thick fog. He surprised by all the animals. He encounters who he writes a fish even by the end when he safe. It doesn't feel like a happy ending definitely not a disney ending in the final frames. The hedgehog is still anxious

The Music of World Showcase in EPCOT

"If i say the music of epcot what's the first song that comes to mind. Probably something from future world and as we covered extensively back on show six nine six ten future world has background scores and attraction and so show themes that not only. I think resonate with us but are enjoyed by us beyond just our time in the parks. They are on our playlists and in our ears when we drive run exercise. I'm obviously like reaching and assuming those last two or whether we're just relaxing at home but why which is my favorite word. And i think it's probably because so. Many of these songs were created by disney for disney they are original themes built around the theme using the time-tested recipe of what makes disney music so memorable but for the other half of the world. Showcase much of the music is not only traditional but helps to set the stage and represents the culture of the participating nation. And these aren't songs. I think that we would normally associate with a theme park experience. Either that is like if we're talking about walt disney world But some of my favorite songs. That dizzy songs are found in many of these background. Loops of not just future world. But some of these world showcase pavilions and they always seem to bring a smile to my face as they hear them. Whenever or wherever i am and i said on the intro to the epcot show that that the music is very much a melting pot of so many cultures ideas ideals technology and different flavors. And it's a place that you can hear music that is as diverse as the pavilions and cultures and speaking of diverse. I want to continue our musical journey from future world to world showcase once again with friends who helped kick off this musical odyssey so i'd like to welcome back to the show. Lisa denote glasner from the castle. Run and core memory candles dot com to be back. Jason connect from here with the magic and the after our show on the facebooks. Hello it's good to be back with you guys and the one and only zac brown from the one and only the zac brown show. Everybody excited to be here. So i am excited for this. And i'm curious to one because i want to see if hopefully we can beat or not break record long. Our future world discussion was. But i think and i'm curious because we don't talk about this ahead of time how this may differ. Because i think again so many of those future world songs and themes are ones that we can mention by name. Papillon came up again. I think exactly you know if it was a drinking game and papillon was your word. You're in some serious trouble but so much of world showcases different because one. We can't pronounce many of the names the songs they don't necessarily roll off the tongue and they're not one that we might necessarily know by name but we know in terms of how they make us feel and they are there are some pavilions that have themes or some that. Just have background music that we enjoy very quickly. When and they'll round in the same order. When you think of world showcase when you think of world showcase music what is the first song idea pavilion. Thought that comes into your mind for me. I remember when we sat down to do or when was sitting down to prep for the future world. Show i joked that. I've never felt so prepared and so unprepared at the same time for a topic because it was like it was a topic. That's just sort of ingrained in my soul but at the same time i didn't know quite how i was going to articulate it and This show said hold by juice because like the rest of disney right is supposed to sort of insulate you from the rest of the world and i think the unique thing about showcases that it has the opposite job. It's supposed to transport you into the rest of the world. And so while you know so much of the music throughout disneyworld otherwise as supposed to sort of encapsulate you and bring you into this place. You know. the imaginary kind of didn't do their job right right if they did. If that's the result of in world showcase because the point of showcases to make you feel like you're not in central florida. It's supposed to make you feel like you're traveling around the world. As you're walking around world showcase so i don't know if i have a quick good answer to like what song first comes to mind. it i mean i could say something. Easy like golden dream of course. Which is you know sure. We'll talk about that more But now i think it's it's like background stuff. Like le vian rose and like the stuff that green and like that. The the the music that i just associate. Because i'm here. So much with walking around world showcase but at the same time you know like you said in the intro. It's not necessarily music that you're supposed to associate with a theme park. Don't you have a green sleeve. The greens leave story to which will have to get to. Because i remembered crossing the bridge an international gateway with you and i said isn't the screen sleeves using it yet and then you told me a story from your childhood is i am. I am right. I mean who doesn't have a green sleeve story like there's a green sleeve story and i want to don't jump ahead of ourselves but that really from my childhood i whistle. Inslee leaves all the time and it makes my mother crazy. Maybe i was just hoping it was from your childhood. Okay i i mean to answer the question. What's the first song pavilion jumps to mind. It's gotta be mexico and it's got to be the three cobb heroes right like that's got to be no actually. It's not that i think. The the for me world showcase had an anthem and no it can't be eliminations but it had an anthem. It would be basically the soundtrack to impress his france. Of course which. I am super excited about francine far away i know he s- t and wonderful. We'll get there For me it's kind of an unfair answer. I think about the international gateway. It's kind of this. Great little collaboration of everything that you're going to experience it's kind of the coming attractions. You know like lisa said you've got le vian rose and you've got a little bit of music piping in from like the china pavilion and everything just kind of blends and it just sets the overall tone and of prepares you for the pallet. That is in front of you whether it be musical or food you kind of preps you and gets you in the mindset that is world showcase and for me you know if i was to close my eyes and just say world showcases a couple of songs that jumped right to the top but one of them and this is actually a great way for us to begin. I think is. There is a world showcase background loop and being disney enthusiasts that you are. I'm pretty sure. It exists on your iphone or ipod your spotify playlist because this is one of the ones that i think people do have an play when their home or even in their cars or when they're working or walking or just relaxing and while you might not necessarily know the names of the songs if you were to listen through it and serbia following along this. This item list of the music yelich like. Yes inca dance by cousteau. That's my favorite song. Although you wouldn't walk into sam goody's not that there's a sam goodies but go with me here. You wouldn't walk in goodies and say i need incan dance on forty five guys have that. But i love the world showcase loop that you can hear on both entrances to where you could. We'll talk about some of the changes that came about relatively recently but those are some of the songs that i hear that like the future world entrance mentally

"All new dizzy prize package before we get to this week's question we're going to go back review last week's end select our winner so last week. Ask you to tell me what. Or where was the sunshine state exhibit oreo. And i thanks hundred. who entered. Got this one correct or had creative ventures and new in a nutshell that this space was located at the lobby level of disney's contemporary resort. It's where during the early nineteen seventies actually use the space as a movie theater. Now a little bit of history. If you're familiar with the fiesta fun center. This was the arcade that used to be located in the contemporary with a wave currently sits but that is actually not was originally in the hotel in the space on opening day that space was originally built as convention space known as the sunshine state exhibit aurium but early on the demand for convention space at walt disney world was not necessarily there because they already had space elsewhere on property in the resort so they had arcade games and mechanical games and and actually a really large shooting gallery.

I'm knocking knees down pow by the way unless you're going to tell me well ask the question. 'cause i was going to mention something this so i love seinfeld. Seinfeld is my second all time favorite. Tv show next to lost his david. Putty interesting loving arby's the way he does. He was also the voice of he was in buzz. Light your of star command. Kim possible family guy at fear of. You're a superhero comic book. He was also the tick the live action version of the series. However patrick warburton of all the people on this list is not only found in soren. He's also found in what other attraction. Oh wait a minute. It has a similar type of role a pre show q. Oh man in. Walt disney world. All right i'll give you a hint. I'll tell you who here. "And a explain why. He's on my list. But i wanted to talk about gene shepherd interesting smiling. The silence on list. Is it really goodness. Oh good all right. Maybe it's not quite out there. As i think it is so now of all the people i have on my list. He is unique. Says this is purely voiceover cameo so to speak. And if you don't know who it is. How do i say this if you don't know who it is. You might not registered that. This is someone of celebrity nece boy that came out wrong It's an it's a curious fact. 'cause obviously jean shepherd for everyone knows the narrator and the father and carousel of progress Which every time. I hear his voice. I think of christmas mostly because the carousel progress. But also because he's perhaps more famously known as the writer and the narrator of the adult ralphie in a christmas story. So that's always a fun fact to share with people who don't know all the interconnectedness of who who jean shepherd is and why we always feel so christmasy progress the last seen now standing but no much you know that connection and you hear it. It's kind of neat because whether you go on the carousel of progress while the gun. The carousel of progress. I can't help. But think of christmas and a christmas story when i watch a christmas story. I can't. i can't help but thinking of being in the magic kingdom and being in the carousel of progress and listening to him talk to us about how much walt disney love progress. Oh and i thought this should be caveat in the top ten that we have to do an imitation of everyone we put on our list. Stow so and. I can't wait for your cameo of jerry lewis which i know you have on your list. Spaceship earth but tom but anyway. That's that's my data guy. I really wanted to bring that up. Because it is christmas time and that mood. I'm getting ready to get settled in from my twenty four hour. Marathon of christmas story but I it's a it's a wonderful movie. It's a wonderful attraction and just that the two are connected is such. it's a really cool fact. When you discover it. It's fun to share. But i will never forget that voice. That will always be very special to me. So if you things so jean. Shepard was on my list but only attached to someone else and she he began actually took over the role from andrew duggan. Who was the original voice of the father. So jean shepherd took over. During the refurbishment in ninety four christmas story came out about a decade earlier so clearly like that very much. Put him on the map. And oh by the way quick aside in terms of where a christmas story rank in terms of all time. Greatest christmas movies. I.

"Part of what. I and i think we love about walt disneyworld and the disney parks. Is that when we pass through its portals. Maybe even as we. I drive onto property. We leave the real world behind us but every now and then it slips its way in not in a bad way but in a good familiar and off from humorous and wonderful way and it makes its way in through the stories that are told here. Of course no story could be told without the characters that populate them and it's within those characters that we find some familiar names faces and voices and there are undoubtedly and actually likely way more than you think actually more celebrity cameos in both current and extinct tractions than you probably can remember so this week. We're gonna look at some of our favorites most memorable obscure and maybe even a few odd ones as we share our top ten celebrity cameos in walt disney world and making a not so rare. Cameo himself is a man who goes by. Many names is an enigma wrapped in a mystery cuddled. Within a conundrum he is of course mr tim foster of both celebrations magazine and guide to the magic dot com. If i'm remembered for nothing else than cuddling in the conundrum the cuddling can whatever you said that. Warrant my heart. That's what i was hoping you very much. it's true you are a man of many mysteries. But i am so glad to have you back but to continue to call you friend after all low these many years and we were just saying before we start recording. I think we've sort of dabbled into this realm but we've never actually done a complete show about celebrities at walt disney world. And i think this is really. I think cameos by celebrities at the disney park specifically disneyworld is really interesting. Because it's not necessarily the reason why you would go to see an attractor show like the same way as liberty might attracted to a movie or a tv show. But it's more like a nice surprise. Exactly and i'm waiting for the rules that you're gonna put in place as this is. This is actually fun. Because i anticipated some rule. She might put in place. And i already thought out my well planned out arguments.

"Name tag when i did it. It was like an The final chapter. It was an end. No you know it was that part of my life is over right. The working for walt disneyworld is over So it was kind of a sad memory you know and in a lot of ways as well. But then as i've you know gone on and i've met people in the disney creator space and i've met other disney cast immersed through wcw opinion and and all this other fun. I don't see this framed. Name tag as an endpoint anymore. I see it as a middle point in my life. Before i worked at walt disney world. There is my life. When i worked at walt disney world. Now there's my life still has disney fan as a former cast member as someone who loves to share -isneyworld with other people. So when i look at my frame name tag like that i i see that. This is part of my history. Now it's not an end point of anything. It's just part of the story and that's why i love it of course. Yeah and that's you know it's one of those items that is is priceless to you. It's priceless like i don't imagine us selling not for any price because of just what that means to you and and everything else that you're doing sort of really sort of falls under the umbrella of that item right all these other things wouldn't have happened to you. Had it not been for you being a cast member during that time absolutely in. It's it's something that i i've funnel everything through that something. You can't take away from me. I will have always been a cast member. I will always have that knowledge in those memories of working in the park. So that's why it's it's super super important to me so the next one. I go to look if you've ever heard this show before. Have you ever watched editing. Do i a kid at heart. I am a seven year old kid trapped in a slightly older body. And i do i love. I love the toys. I love the fun things too. And i love things that are fun as well as being unique and when i look at my collection in terms of things that are unique things that you can't find anymore which adds it adds value to me because i understand the rarity of it But more importantly items that connect to maybe the attractions. That are my favorites. You mentioned the haunted mansion which is why sort of bump this up on my list and plus two because of how unique. This item is and It's called a haunted mansion secret panel chest box and it's a small. It's about six inches by four inches by three inches or so rectangle and these were originally released in disney land in probably about nineteen sixty nine There's a disneyland version. There's a haunted mansion version and the box itself. the physical item is actually rare. I have seen very very few of these. Very few these in really good condition and i'm fortunate that that mayan is is you know in in near mint condition and the idea. Is this small wooden box. has no lock and key system. It has no visible way of opening it but if you know how to it requires about twenty different steps to slide different pieces up and down and it reveals sort of different mechanisms to open it and inside of it. There is a secret compartment. And there's a secret drawer to there's a. There's a color decal on the top..

"A wonderful little Fountain they're closed by two thousand and one of the one that I would mention is as you're walking from Africa to Asia as you're heading towards Yak & Yeti. You're going to pass Mister Kang. Malls, kiosk on the right stop get the fries. They're amazing. Trust me on this one. But if you keep going a little bit farther down there's this tiny little pathway that goes down this hill and there is maybe three or four very very small tables there with a beautiful view of the discovery river, which is wonderful shading is Hit or Miss depending on when you go but it is usually quiet because it's not necessarily it is sort of off the beaten path as it were and the last place that I would put an animal kingdom and I've used this number of times especially when I've had work that I had to do or a call that I would have to take a needed quiet. If you go into a rest off a saurus in dinoland USA, there's a few of the back rooms. So if you enter and make a left you can there's usually a quiet room there and there's there's actually another job. Upper room all the way on the right hand side. It's almost like a little add-on building and then there's also a really nice little covered patio that is right across from the entrance to dino dinosaur, which is really really nice quiet. It's shaded and there's usually not a lot of people there at all. I actually forgot one. I'm so I'm so embarrassed. I have an animal kingdom one one Kingdom one. Can I let me see if I can guess what it would cut it might be. Okay. I mean since you've pretty much named every other location name three, I named restaurantosaurus. Hi, where do you think I'm going to eat little seating area and Flame tree? I think that you're going to the seating area by the dawa bar near tusker House Restaurant. No, I'm not you are going to the harambe wage. You're going to the rembi marketplace. No, I'm not you're going to affection section later, but that's not where I'm going now to don't make it weird was talking about these Planet watch. Where are you going? You're going to Pandora and satulah. I want to Goat. Here's a I want to go to Pandora and relax wage. But yeah and relaxing you're enjoying. Oh, I just Beauty but I am sitting in 17 with my make my own Bowl hours on end now but when I go it's very beautiful and I love Pandora, but it was always so busy as I was wondering room that's not where I'm going and I let you off the hook now or do you want to keep them? Hey one of my favorite tranquil spots and all of all Disney World and I'm embarrassed. I did not have this on my original list. The maharajah jungle Trek variances. Typically there's there's so many places to relax but there's one place I love and it's just little Courtyard. There's a Jade Fountain smoke found but it's in the middle. There's benches there. It's so tranquil. It's so peaceful. It's just like gorilla Falls. There's it's a walk-through anytime you once so they can barely a lot of people there and if they are they're they're wandering through you feel like you're so far away from the real world and it's it's beautiful The Fountains are going little birds walk around they come up to you can take their picture. They're not scared of anything. But it's it's one of my favorite relaxing tranquil moments and a place is not a lot Disney World. And again, why did she think of it? Why didn't have it on my list see but as you were talking I remembered so that's how this all works. Well that gives me all throw in one more honorable mention cuz I I love and it involves if you go home. Behind Yak & Yeti, which has some of the best counter-service food in the park by the way walk all the way in the back behind the market. There's a little outdoor seating if you make a left and go all the way into the corner. It's there's shade trees. It's quiet. There's a beautiful little Stone Fountain there and you also have these little hidden rest rooms to so you've got it it ticks every box. It's quiet. It's got seating. It's got shade and it's got some real get the chicken fried rice and egg rolls and thank me later so far. I've had I've had chicken fried rice. I had french fries. I've had Tortuga Tavern tacos. I need to find some place to sit and relax literally got any idea. Maybe we should go to the maybe we should leave the the the parks for a while and go to the Resort's. I don't think that's going to save me from your home culinary journey across Walt Disney World. So for Resorts, I had I had two different categories of places to go. Hm which one do I go to I'll talk about well since we're hey, we're already full we might as well eat more. Um, I had a thought thoughts on favorite lounges a like to go to these I had to our my lips and these are both places that were it's not necessarily bring the food. And one of them is in food actually, but they were both to me like very overlooked places. You could always go to and I'm hoping nobody finds out about list Mike of Glen so I probably should talk about but I will anyway, so one of them is a favorite spot. We always go to for one looking to relax somewhere but more importantly more often than not you find, you know, you want to get lunch or a snack or dinner and you didn't make a reservation anywhere and never fear cuz if you're wandering around this is our favorite game, but if you're wanting to grab the Epcot Resorts, we discovered long time ago the cruise cup Lounge in the yacht club, which is right next to the yachtsman steakhouse. It's fantastic change. The ambience is Yacht Club amazing the food if you get it is really good. They have I believe they share the kitchen with the yachtsman steakhouse or not mistaken the wage. The great thing about it for every time we go though. It's rarely busy. So you can usually always get a place to sit. There aren't many places I said, but you can usually find one especially that's an off-time like mid-afternoon. This is opposed to hey, let's go to beaches and cream and get some ice cream. Now, you're probably waiting there really long time off, but this is a great place. He's always feel like nobody seems to know about it, but it's a fantastic place to sit and relax get a snack the other Lounge area that I really really like Is not far away you can tell I like the Epcot Resorts a lot. But this is over at the boardwalk in and this is the the Bellevue Lounge which is on like if you're coming from the Crescent Lake area and you go how do I say there's a courtyard and there's a door you can go in and go up the stairs into the lobby. The lounge is right there. And again, it's.

"Out you yeah, that's better and not for nothing. My little side is nothing to do with the topic at hand. But that little area is home to my brother's name on birth. The Main Street Windows. My brother is honored on one of the main street windows and I can see you perplexed on the other side of the video. Like what are you talking about? I guess I should explain please do so. My my brother's name is Robert and as it turns out one of the I think I have the story straight one of the the attorney slash businessman who helped Walt Disney acquire. The land in Florida was Robert Foster and his contributions to what we bought a Walt Disney World were so great. He is honored with the window on Main Street USA and I took a picture of and just send it to my mother and said, hey look your son's got a window. I didn't explain to her that it was just crazy wild coincidence, but and I don't really explain that to people when I show it to them either. I just because I have a connection. This is not really your brother. You just happen to show no. Yes, I should have qualified that the the Robert Foster who helped Walt Disney was not my brother who is not even born yet at that time, by the way, so I think so. No just a total coincidence, but it's funny, too. See but it happens to be on that street and every time someone mentions that street that's the first thing I think of but but yeah the voice lessons that is a pretty cool. I actually thought on your are you done your mileage Kingdom list. Am I swore? You would have second floor of the Columbia house or I did? Oh my God. It's right here on my list. That way. I know you will second floor on top of Breezeway. Exactly. Oh my gosh. Oh, you know why cuz I was so excited to get to East Center Street. So you're right because I know we've dined there before and talked about how it is wonderful out-of-the-way little quiet Nook that either gives you a view of the courtyard in front of Haunted Mansion or the Tangled area and you know, the the entrance to Columbia Harbor House and it's a small world on the other side. There you go. So Pecos Bill's and Polly Sleepy Hollow Harbor House East Center Street storybook circus. There you go. Very well, then they all involve food home pignose Phyllis is cool. Cuz I feel like there's a lot there's a lot in there the most people don't get to a chance to appreciate cuz they think it's a place to eat eat, you know, there's great Stories being told on the walls of picture are there and there's so there's so many cool rooms. There's like a memory storage there. There's a room. It's like you're outside and inside outside the house. So yeah, it's it's really fun to explore. Like I said, you get off the beaten path far enough. It's it doesn't crowds dissipate. And if I guess if you're at an odd time, you could even have some of these rooms to yourself basically cool. So all right, where where are we going next? Let us prove to Epcot Center. I know we both have jobs. A a larger affinity for that Park. Yeah, this was hard and this is good cuz this will give me a chance to think of an Animal Kingdom ones. I didn't have one for my list but wage. Yeah, so for you know what I'll Have chicks. I have one that falls into category if it's not there anymore, and I miss it terribly or it's not there in the way I remember being but then I have real ones. The one I thought this was always a place I went this was the Rest up get out of the Sun for a few minutes cool off and chill like there was that place as we're talking about different places to go? And this was off. I believe I guess the area still there. I'm not sure the the whole future world is of course changing rapidly as we all know. This was in the interventions building on we get this right on the south side of the park which would be the right side of the park. I'm still confused why they built Epcot upside down, but that's you know, but it was the interventions building and what it was the the back part as you walk through from the plaza in future world. If you were making your way over to future world had my hands up in front me West West with the land and Nemo and all that. There was a great place that was it was just this building there was nothing there was just this great expanse of space is dead. To space one of one of the best restrooms cuz nobody's ever there. But if it's so the thing I always remember about it was so cold and I was usually getting there because I would be walking from the Epcot resort area go through World Showcase taking the stopped to say hello to figment by that time. This Northern child is pretty drained by that time. So this is a great place to go to stop. It was right by Club cool where you could get my I could enjoy my Beverly and then go in and sit down and cool off, but it was such one. It was a very just nice place to sit and relax cuz not a lot of people were there but it was very very cold. It was one of the best air conditioning spots, but on occasion, you would have some interesting things to look at and for the longest time they had the pictorial timeline of Epcot up on the wall. So you could while you're relaxing you could Club. Take a journey back through time and see how Epcot grew over the years. They've had special exhibits there. Back at 4 epcot's 25th anniversary. They had a special exhibit and this is where I saw the Dreamcatcher vehicle the robot from Horizons early models of spaceship earth. It's very cool. I'm in recent years that's been a place for special exhibits at flower and garden and food and wine. I think it was flower and garden. They had a very cool light bulb beverage exhibit. I took pictures. I still understand what it was the beverages were good. But it was just a great place to go relax and get out of the Sun and palm rest those tired feet for a while catch a breath and then go on out and try your luck with crush and Nemo and all those wacky Critters. Try your luck. Was there a lot of gambling get involved like not sure what you need to get with the Crush in Nemo. I got a little scared when that deep sea fish. The luck was weathered the deep sea angling fish animatronic. Was working or not cuz if it's working then I'm a little scared if it's not then I'm okay. So that was the gamble boy. That was a stretch but you know what? I mean? I got you down. I do remember and I love that area in for a number of years. A lot of of futureworld West on the left side right side was it it sat empty to a degree and there was a lot of times that you'd be able to go in there and it was sometimes it be tables and chairs or at least be able to sit by the windows and cool off and get away from it all in the interest of time to actually keep this top ten ish and not mentioning every single quiet corner and boy, I could have mentioned every World Showcase Pavilion too and.

"Solitude as it were and here's throw the immediate wrench into your arm on here we go. I will tell you some things that are not on my list because I just I just felt that they were obvious with your hotel room, right? I think your hotel room is obviously what's up. You know. What? All right fine. Is it? Is it on your list? Yeah. Oh so never mind forget. What were the weather with a dog? Caveat though. So it'll it'll make sense. Go ahead will knock out the rest of my list. What else doesn't know that's fine. That's all I had. I just know. Didn't put it on my list. We can talk about yours and then we'll also talk about a few extinct quiet places that are unfortunately lost over time that I want to make sure I come back to and talk to cuz I'm sad and that they are gone. I actually have one of those on my block list two, very interesting. So I thought as we even started to talk I said, why don't we do it to make it easier for people who are thinking and planning out their upcoming trips or visits to the park? What if we try and break it down or at least go in order of park by Park and then Resorts and Disney Springs if you have any Wow. Again rules. I was not made privy to don't think of it as a role as a guideline. What if they all revolve around my Resort room, though? Well, then yawned. I think we're starting. We're we stuck. Well, I think it makes sense to start in in Magic Kingdom. How can I say Magic Kingdom? And you guys there's no what no. Well, actually I'll start this cuz this was the the piece on my the item on my list that is not round any more and If I am checking my list to make sure the s that was the only one so this was as I mentioned as I thought of different reasons why you would want to find a quiet spot. This was in the category of just getting away from the hustle and bustle of the Park's taking a little breather not necessarily eating or anything like that but finding a place to chill for a while and my favorite place for the longest time was the exposition Hall in the Town Square on Main Street, and this is before Mickey arrived in the meet and greets arrive. This was back when you could go in And a lot of people I feel didn't really know this was there and if you walked back a little bit You Came Upon there's galleries of memorabilia and photos from the early days of Walt Disney World. There was a little theater you could watch old cartoons and nobody was ever in there and I I was always in there saying this should be an attraction. You should be on the list as a fast passage, right? Cuz it was so neat and if you had any Well from the sense of if you had any interest in history of Disney or fan this this was I always felt a must place to go cuz you got a glimpse of how everything started off and got to see other part grew through over the years but more than that though because nobody really knew it was there and never visited you really had that all to yourself pretty much any time you went back inside. So that checks off the get out of the Florida Sun list on your on your list, but it is, you know, is air conditioned it was inside. There's nobody there. You could stay home as long as you want. There was no, you know path you had to go through you could Meander and look at exhibit sit down and watch a cartoon take a break and that was one of my places to go cuz not only could relax and get away from it all but it was for that Disney fan. This was such a great place to visit there was so much to see and learn there. But again, he had it all to yourself. So what could be better and I miss it dead. I miss it terribly I do too and but there's other places you can go which will get yeah and Town Square theater and it wasn't until it became the meet-and-greet off. Yeah. Well it really sort of became the Town Square theater around 2011 when I replaced the Walt Disney story and that at the time it was the Town Square Exposition Hall. I was actually two theaters in the back and then at one point one of them was closed and Waldorf. Do you remember there used to be the hand painted mural of the hundred plus Disney characters back there. They yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but you're right. Yeah. No, I remember there was one trip. I I missed doing this. Actually, I didn't even think of this were on my list but public places why you want to get away and chill? This trip was I brought a Sketchbook down with me and I was just doing a lot of sketching and drawing of of anything and I remember being in there and that was one of the great things I sat there and all the characters are there. So I'm like schedule the characters of my little book, but it was great you're sitting there and nobody's there. You're in that you're in that Disney Art mode. It's really it was really cool. Yeah, and they used to show a variety of shorts and not the short movies + package films. Like I think for some reason I have this memory of seeing the legend of Ichabod and mr. Toad in there at one point and it was just it was it was not a time thing. The theater was just open you could sort of come and go at your leisure. That was the best part and there's a few of these on well pretty much everything on this list, I guess by definition of stuff, you know, but you could just walk into there's no you have to get a FastPass or so schedule time. There's no show you have to wait like it's a great place about all of these things. I'm sure we're going to talk about going anytime you want job? Stay as long as you want, you know, so it was really cool. Yeah. Yeah, the one the Walt Disney story was there and I think we talked about this on a show. We did like a Wayback machine to nineteen seventy-three. When the Walt Disney story was there I loved it because obviously told the story of Walt and there there was that sort of Mini U Museum that was in there and then and that for over the years actually became the the welcome center for the anniversary. There was also the preview area for Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios later on and then off there was also Hoot Gibson Gibson the owl when he was talking about the Western River expedition that was supposed to be coming later on in the eighties and then it became an Epcot film later.

"To rock. That's listen pantsless is usually the way things happen around here. So okay after all these years. It's it's how I'm happy to see you finally getting on board wage. I'm I'm learning. I'm learning from The Mask. It's a slow. It's a slow burn but I get it. But listen I am I am very excited about this and admittedly and I'm saying cuz cuz it was my idea but I love this idea because we've done shows in the past fifteen years about going solo to Walt Disney World and I I like personally especially as a local. I love going to the parks and being alone and quiet and out of the way and I don't necessarily always get a chance wage. Do that and I look I start off every show talking about sitting back relaxing Etc. And while I don't get to personally do it much. I do sometimes like to do it off when I'm in the Walt Disney World parks and Resorts and and I and Tim I think for a lot of people especially because of the fact that there is so much to do and I do have a finite amount of time a lot of people often don't want to or are afraid to maybe even don't know how to slow down when they're on a wall vacation due in part because I think they're afraid they're going to miss something right? I don't have time to just sit and relax because I should be doing X or I could be doing all these other things. Well on one hand. Yes, you could be missing something and probably for everything on my list. I'm trying to member as I did them when I had those pangs of guilt like dude, you shouldn't be sitting here. You should be in line going to these attractions cuz you paid for this trip, but sometimes that being alone and relaxing is the engine area if that makes sense when you can take advantage of it and appreciate everything around you no matter where you are, but we'll go all over the place. I'm sure but yeah, and and I agree with 1% and I think sometimes it's hard to do that right now. It's hard to turn that off and to that end. Sometimes you need one of these quiet spots off possibly to work because sometimes you just you physically cannot get away from it all and especially when you know you and it all is your business, right and your business exists and lives now dead. In our pockets with our phones, I understand especially if you own your own business, you know, or have a something where you are quote unquote on call there are sometimes wage do need to get away from the hustle and the bustle and the you know, the sound of the parade music behind you and find some of these quiet spots to get some work done. I know look even even when I wasn't a local there were times they would come down here and be working on a book or an audio tour and I just needed some places that were quiet to go and work and we're going to incorporate some of those places as well not just to get away and relax but get away and get some work done too. Yeah. I try to think of the get away and do some work schedule when I was picking out my ideas. I'm not sure if this is on your list, so I won't know I remember back in the days the little Nuance to that was the quest to find an outlet off. That kind of thing. So there's there's one that came to mind right away, but it was more about now. Let's say cuz it was more your place that you took me too, but it was more about not so much that it was the quiet place to get some work done cuz I think we did some recording at the time but it that was back in the day when that was the only Outlet in all of the Magic Kingdom. You could find so Tim. I I hate see how times change I hate to tell the story but I will and it will show just anyway take from the story when you will there was a time that I was working for a family business that we had sold and and we were just in the middle of this transition to you know, a a corporate environment and I was the chief technology officer for the company, but I had a a planned vacation to come down and do some work and I'll never forget being in Disney's Animal Kingdom and being told that morning that I had to be on the job. Conference call at 3:00, whatever time it was and I needed to go and find a payphone dial. Yeah, and I found what I thought was the song wildest Payphone in Disney's Animal Kingdom, which is near where the current Starbucks is. There's also the the the first aid station Etc is back there used to be a bank of phones. So nobody knew where I was I dialed in and I tried to keep my hands or covering the mouthpiece kids. You can Google what a pay phone looks like an edge as I'm standing there pretending to, you know be engrossed in this meeting the Disney's Animal Kingdom Christmas parade starts coming by with a shuttle the music and the floats and I'm like covering them covering the microphone like this and I'm trying to and that's really what I realized that I needed to leave that job immediately and moved down to Florida which in fact I did so there you go. Yeah, some people would have taken that as I really need to find a quiet place so I can do my job but what the other way right I was like this is not going to get out of this page. I like I like so before we get into our our actual, you know, what makes for I was trying to think what are sort of the requisite elements for a good quiet place right now. I was sort of trying to figure out as assembling my list and for me, there's really three point one. There's only three main things with a an optional bonus as well. I think one the place needs to be quiet and don't necessarily say quiet places Tim. I don't think we necessarily mean isolated but really be a place that is at least Serene. I tried to find places that had seating and there's various levels of comfort. Some benchers are not quite as comfortable as some home. Couches, I think you need shade from the Florida sun which beats down on you about 361 days out of the year. And in a perfect world is not perfect. Lou Monticello world. My good quiet place should also involve be close to or have at least food accessible to it you he's going to say food or an electric outlet. But I knew you were going to go I usually bring my car. I usually I try to go look at a lot. Yeah, I do. I do try and bring at least two months back up portable chargers, but all those things you put all those things together if there's food it's like Zen and Nirvana. It's all just there in in one pack. I feel like for you if you only got I gather food was the point one correct requisite item on your list, but I think if you had the point one and nothing else, you would still be a happy camper. Oh, yeah, I could miss them. Right, I could work at The Boathouse. No problem. No sweat. Sure. I was going sorry got no. I was going through my list same thing you and I realized how long this down quickly enough addressing different reasons. You want to get away whether it's you just want to get away and relax whether you need to get some work done to make that phone call them or you're hungry but you need a you know, that kind of thing. So they really fell into different categories quite an interesting exercise.

"Disney wars and all of that, and actually if you go back, excuse me and listened to show number four, zero seven. We have a detailed discussion about ten books that need to be in every Walt Disneyworld fans library and I won't spoil it for you. But some of these books are in there including the story of Walt. Disney World Jeff Cardi book is in there. The Walt Disney's epcot center is a fantastic book since the world began another Jeff Kurti Book imagineering fueled guides are in there and a number of others I think. I think the designing. Disney book. Might be under the architecture of reassurance I think made this list there's a second. This is a follow up an additional ten additional books that need to be on in every world and I'm not. This is not meant to just say, no none of these books are a plug for any of the Walt Disney World Trivia, books? One. Hundred Eighty. Four disneyworld. Pictures Range. That's why the pirates. Up a pop up Trivia Book. There you go. That's All worlds right there. The production costs alone or make that incredibly. So isn't it time? Isn't it time for a new book though I actually just found as I was not only cleaning out my garage and closets but my mom's house after she passed did you ever did I ever? I don't even know. I. Think I knew when I did my Walt Disneyworld Trivia page a day calendar. We we're just yes you had. You were giving those away. At one point and yes, I remember seeing them You know what I found a guess what you're getting for Christmas. In two, thousand, nine calendar going to actually up with whatever. Month Day. So It was that was a ton of fun to do. It was a ton to research because obviously I needed three hundred, sixty, five different bits of Trivia. But had this little like flip book animation in the CY and Doing some Trivia Games and stuff like that. Correct. They were at the time. Probably, not so much but a very expensive thing to produce just and to get onto to bookshelves but it was very cool. That was two, thousand nine. So it's a different daily also. Let's move on. Catherine Renee Williams says oh I just like the title Disneyland Rumor or fact. Show, music. Year. That how the Games are musicals all right. Sure why not I was I once heard this about the sleeping beauty castle in Disneyland. Isn't it? True? That the top half is on backwards. When I first heard this I thought this is ridiculous surely not she says, but recently, I saw a picture of the back of sleeping beauty castle never actually been to Disneyland. We was going to Disneyworld and there was something very elegant and front of the castle looking to it. So I was wondering if the rumor was true after all I, really love the show actually awaiting the newest episodes. Thank you for bringing us a little bit of Disney magic every week it makes cleaning less of a drag. So I love this question and I actually love the answer and the story even more because as Legend has it and this this has been you know we've heard people like Marty sklar and and Bob Girl and others tell the same and stimulus similar story so I take it to be true. When the castle was being designed. Herbie Reimann. Who obviously legend legendary measure was designing the castle he was integrating a number of different elements from noiselessly stink castle in Bavaria and other story elements from Disney and folklore. And when he? Created. His initial sketches of the castle was turned into a three D. model as as everything was was created in miniature so they could actually visualize what it would look like in a in the park. Get an idea of sight lines and aesthetics etcetera and after he saw it in Three D., he was kind of staring at it and dead. Just, just not right about this and. He wanted to be an needed to be an obviously Walter agreed that it needed to be. Quote Unquote perfect right because this really was the the symbol of the entire place and the person who actually had done. The motto was Fred You're who you might know as The imagine who did a lot of the rock work in both. Disneyland as well as Walt Disneyworld the actually fine Freddie Krueger. He was honored with a tombstone and in a in the haunted mansion here lies dear old Fred. A great big rock fell on his head will upgraded rock on his head because he designed all the rottweiler rock work so. So. Her we look at it and says, you know it's great. But I, just I'm not digging it and according to story he basically took the upper part of the model, picked it up and turned it around and was playing around to see how it might look and he's doing this as they're getting ready for a meeting with Walt Disney and it might have been. I. Don't want to say I. Don't maybe Dick was I. don't think it was big news I remember who it was. So look you gotta hurry up and put this back walters coming in and he didn't and walt walks in and he looks at the castle and he's like. I like this this this looks much better than your original design was. So the like. Okay, if Walter, it's okay. This is what we're going to go with Walt likes Herbie likes it and that's the story about how the back the top half of the castle is backwards. From the original design that's very cool. I had not heard that story before and. This is the type of thing when you hear those backstories why we've been so blessed to be able to hear them from Mardi when he was with us and others to hear the behind the velvet rope stories of how these things came about and that little piece of Trivia is incredibly Colt now. Well and what's what's cool about a two is sometimes. There are these happy little accidents you know to sort of US deserve. Euphemism. That is how some of these things. Actually come to be much like those happy little accidents of things that happened with us when we're planning events. Like our conversation, the other day, which I won't end to hear. But no, it was there was a happy little accent so. All right. Let's go. Oh, I'm entering this question. I. Don't even know what the question is. I'm answering own simply because of who sent it it's from Corey Bassett, the keeper of the box. Inquiry. Who He's the keeper of the box because during the twenty three, Expos Corey is there manning the technical side of the live broadcast literally carrying around someone's got to do it and? I appreciate you cory and core is also a member of our armed services and I appreciate his service and sacrifice. So very well. So I don't even care what your questions, Corey I'm answering it here. And it says and I quote Peleliu Dot Dot and probably Her Majesty becky whole. Wow Corey..

"That they were at the studios. Yeah I couldn't find how long they were there. So it was probably like a blinking you mystic kind of thing. Know. So we were just talking about superheroes at the park I think that there were two other superheroes that very much bear mentioning. I'm saying Superheroes tongue-in-cheek because I could not believe I guess I. could because of what they hoped it would become but. Do you remember? Dick Tracy. Tracy. Tracy Johnke diamond has just been stolen from the museum. I'm on my way and his diamond double cross spectacular thirty minute production. which was based on the film starring Warren Beatty and Madonna that they thought was going to be like the next big franchise. They, you know this is a film that dizzy put a lot of money and marketing power behind the The even got this This particular project in terms of the diamond double show into the theater stars very quickly because this was part of this launching of the the Disney decade and they only had it here but they had a show that was performed at video palace in Disney land. But these they were both very, very short lived Um I know. The Walt Disney world one lasted less than a year and I think the Disneyland one lasted even less time. I think we did a show where we looked at some of the extinct stage shows of Walt. Disneyworld I'll put a link to it or just you can search for it in your podcast. APP, on the WTO website, we talk a little more. About, dictate Tracy and the diamond double-cross show. But did you also know that there was another stunt show a small one that came about in nineteen ninety-five to promote another film and that took place on the New York area back lot a few times a day it was not made by Disney it was a character that was completely licensed from Morgan. "Way to do it shows of. Our collective relationship with make a wish and how. That is to me and my family and Lisa, decided on her own to reach out to make a wish to start a fundraising campaign in the hopes of raising ten thousand dollars, which would adopt a family and sponsor their trip in full to Walt Disneyworld in my mom's name really in furtherance of what we collectively have done for with make a wish through are deemed. Dream Team Project and as I found out during the live show when this was revealed to me, Lisa very much had confidence in the community that we would easily reach that ten thousand dollar goal on Wednesday night. We had already clips that and you had raised again without my knowledge you'd more than fourteen thousand dollars and I was over come and overwhelmed with emotion. Just as I am now really trying to keep it together. You know what I and she and I don't think anybody new was from there just how this community and this family would come together and at the time of this recording on Monday September twenty eighth just about seven days. After this, it started nearly fifty thousand dollars. Has Been raised. which. Is going to send. We hit that mark five children and their families to. Walt Disneyworld you talk about making a difference, not just choosing the good but being the good you have changed literally the lives of five families who I think now more than ever really need that magic and you have changed my life as well, and I could easily go on and on about. What I feel and what this means and look at it's not about the money. It's not about the dollar amount really is about what we've been talking about day one community and friendship and family in it's. The words I use since I launched my very first sight and those words carry so much more weight and meaning now because what you've done. Not, just in the past sixteen years of this community and this shows exist but really in the past few days is beyond remarkable. And I cannot thank Lisa and you enough. I. Please let me know if you WANNA find out more about this fundraising campaign and a direct link to make a wish you can visit www radio, dot com slash dream wishes that will take you right to the donation page. You can also watch a replay of last week's video and I'm actually going to post a an abbreviated version just to give you an idea of what happened that night when Lisa came in and surprised me again. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you my heart and my. Hugs go out to you. You have done something beautiful and wonderful and special and for that. I will forever be grateful. Man is a really tough awkward transition to get into the show but we're going to continue where we left off last week as we leave magic kingdom and Epcot and go to the Disney MGM. Slash Hollywood Studios Disney's animal kingdom and beyond the parks to the Lake Point Vista Village Pleasure, island, and more of the Weird Wild and just plain wacky things that we've seen heard and experienced in Walt Disneyworld. Enjoy. But let's move from the futuristic and wild and Wacky non-serbs justic. Epcot Center over to to the Disney. MGM. Studios. where? This is I think the place we're going to mention some names and some intellectual properties. You'RE GONNA go none a Louis you've got confused that there's no way that happened in Walt Disneyworld. And for the first one, I'm going to go with something that I had to check and double check to make sure this really did happen. Was Who wants to be a millionaire play? It was not the first game show in MGM Studios. And not only was it not the first one but there was one that they guests could visit as an attraction, but was also filmed on property. And this is a show that exists on TV today but the original. was many decades before and let's make a deal. And the original? Let's make a deal had monty hall. But when it got to be the late eighties and nineties, they wanted to do a revival of, let's make a new hosts named Bob Hill in and they decided to fill this at MGM Studios. And they would have certain days of the week where they would fill episodes. But then at the times when they were not filming episodes for live TV, then guests from the park could go in and cast members would take the place of the host in the announcer and the prior is presenters and guests have the opportunity to play prices of their own. And but there was kind of an audition process that you could go through if you wanted to be selected to play and if you were picked than, you would be given one of the crazy costumes that everyone wears on. Let's make a deal so that you would fit in. And they add some legitimate prizes for people I mean you could win the Swan had just opened. So you could win three night stay at the Walt Disney World Swan, you could win a a cruise not on the Disney cruise line because that didn't exist yet but it was a three day cruise with Disney's cruising partner. There were rebus brothers, statues there was some others price sponsors were Delta and Eminence and Mars and Goodyear and others. But it turned out they actually did film sixty five episodes with Bob Hill in the host, and then like another sixty three where monty hall came back and hosted and those all did go to err on NBC and I unfortunately I never seen it. I never saw when I was there and I would have been very crucial because we're gonNA the Disney studios were meant to be studios. The idea was that you were walking onto. onstage and then backstage of a real working production facility, which obviously never really sort of grew to become as much as they wanted it to sort of make it. Be You know the East, coast version of Hollywood but there were a lot of these type of shows that were familiar that were being aired their tape there or at least recreated there to give guests a sense of what it was like as he shows being filmed and I did play millionaire play it a.

"Of years. You would have a number of different performing groups the kids of Kingdom sometimes other job. Of outside local bands would actually come in and perform as well and at one point pre cosmic ray pre Michael Iceberg. There was actually the Scat Cat Jazz Band and if you remember from the Aristocats, there were three of the cats English cat was on the dragon the Scat Cat was one of the performers and the Italian cat was there as well and they would perform different songs. I think not just necessarily from the Aristocats, but I know obviously everybody wants to be a cat was in there as well. And if I remember correctly, it looked like these fir characters were performing on live instruments, but they weren't but I do think there was also there may have been live performers with them as well. So it was like part concert part meet-and-greets dead. once again in the plaza Pavilion and that sort of Tomorrowland Terrace area Yeah for the picture I've seen it looks like the one cat at least was sitting behind a set of drums. So he was at least pretending to say oceans. Yeah. Well, I have to go with one in Tomorrowland as well and it actually could kind of segue into Epcot if you're if you want to move on have caught after this, but I'm going to go with Galaxy search wage that took place in from from 1994 to 98 and I actually have very Vivid memories of the show because it starred a giant dinosaur robot and this took place at the Galaxy Palace Theater, which would have been between Buzz Lightyear and the Carousel of Progress today. It's just boarded over them. But this was like think Star Search. It was Mickey hosting a show with all of the Fab Five and friends that each had their own alien act that would join them. So Donald Pluto mini they each did one one of the alien acts was like these two or three headed poodle sisters that would come out and seeing that very funky, you know fit very well with the Tomorrowland 94 interplanetary type theme but Goofy's act that joined him was wage King and it was kind of alluded to through the whole show cuz you hear this growling happening offstage goofy would say he's getting hungry. He wants to go on. Everyone's wondering who is this character and finally went to school turn up from the the right side of the stage not even part of the stage, but behind like a facade or something think behind where Buzz Lightyear's up comes this page three or four story robot Dino with an Elvis impersonator like the white sequin e costume collar thing with the dog. I care and go near glasses and he would sing. You know how he wanted to be your love and teddy bear and and and there would be smoke behind it and it that the king dinosaur was stuck in my memory, but he that was actually not his first appearance. He was used in another interesting show em up guy as well. I forgot about Galaxy search. It's you know, it's funny. I thought well, I thought I had a pretty comprehensive list as I was doing my you know, my mental brain, but you're right well, and I don't want to sort of steal your thunder for what I know is going to be your connective tissue between this and and and Epcot off. But yeah, I mean and if you remember the Galaxy Palace Theater, which is where this open-air theater, which is now sort of closed off in between buzz and Carousel products. That's also where they performed Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas Disney World as your world magic music days. Were there Night of Joy was there disneymania? Is there all of which I think could certainly be added to this list as well? I'm trying to think if the totally mini show was there to the totally many show was another sort of wacky mid-80s home. Show that was like eighty six I think was the was what they Disney declared 1986 is going to be the year of Minnie Mouse and there was they were really trying to bring many home a lot more towards the Forefront. They had redesigned her a lot. They had borrowed they had made her very eighties by borrowing a lot of design elements from current pop stars and they gave her the job of being a pop star and it was all about Synergy back then so they had a totally mini album and she see if she actually sang her own versions and covers of hey Mickey like the Tony Basile song and let's get together by the Sherman Brothers and like Daisy Duck and clarabel there and there was this totally mini song and dance review in Magic Kingdom. There was a one-hour TV special on NBC, which they unfortunately don't do any more down. I'm Suzanne Somers. It's now screaming in nineteen eighty-eight and Robert Carradine from Back to the Future Fame was Maxwell dweeb who was a nerd who was being taught. He was he was he was teaching a nerd how to be cool. So it was tying into the whole back to the it was very weird. It was very backward and I'm wondering if that's where the Tomorrowland I think that's where where this one totally minute this totally many song and dance review and little mini truck out show was happening while in order to tie in with the TV special and the album and everything else that was going on in this whole synergistic world. Do you also remember the Mickey's Starland afternoon show so when Mickey's Birthday land was retired this temporary land it was only supposed to be there for six months was so popular it became Mickey's Starland again screaming eighties and they had this show that featured characters from the Disney Afternoon, like DuckTales tailspin gummy bear Rescue Rangers Darkwing Duck Goof Troop and Bonkers and this took place again. It's hard to even sort of picture where I am. Now sort of near where the judges tent is now in Mickey's Birthday land slash Starland slash Toontown again where it was a very this was a great easy opportunity to bring in office the Synergy from Disney Channel and Disney afternoon before we get to Epcot. I've got a mention not one not two three, but three things off. Tom at the Pooh the Winnie the Pooh presidential campaign and made me think about the America on parade parade, which was this again. It took place in the mid seventies around the year time of the bicentennial if I almost can't describe it accurately enough you almost need to add Google on the YouTube a video of the America on Parade. It was very inspiring it was very patriotic. But there were a lot of these very large fricassee looking will connect this to Epcot to walk around puppet type characters that were looking back exceptionally bizarre. If you think those pictures of the early Mickey walk-around characters at Disneyland from the fifties were crazy in America on Parade says, I've got something to show you and I just have to very quickly mention the birth. Celebrations at well does this was specifically the 15th and 25th and 15th? I can't believe whatever happened because when it turned fifteen years old, once again, they had a ABC now it was a 15th birthday celebration show. It was hosted by Bea Arthur and Betty White who clearly just lives forever and it featured the Monkees Air Supply a manual Lewis like Webster was on there and they had not this just this special but they also had not one but two specials on the Disney Channel they had magic celebration live and they also had Walt Disney World a dream come true. That was really cool because it focused on which we don't really see very much anymore except now on on Disney plus with the imagineering story. It was really about the history of the resort off. Was a tour of the current Resorts and also gave a sneak peek at what was to come like Pleasure Island MGM Studios and the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. But the reason may I add this to the I can't believe it ever happened list was because not just that they have the of course, you know celebratory, you know parade but they also gave out prizes every 15 seconds. So right outside the entrance to Magic Kingdom, there were these clocks that would ring every 15 seconds in every time a gas went through the turnstile. They would receive a ticket and I could still remember seeing it was yellow and had sort of Blackish blue typed out writing on it and would let you know if you want anything and you could get like hats and buttons and visors and tee shirts and you could also get free tickets to the park and you could also win a car and I'm home. These 7.86% sure it was sponsored by GM or Chevrolet at the time. So you were able to win like one of those sweet new Chevy Blazers just bought going to Disney World. Yeah, the 15th was my first anniversary celebration was the 20th but the 25th you bring up a vividly remember the 25th and the year before we were there when the castle was half pink and we walked in and were like what is happening? And I remember my mom saying that can't be primer consider like primer for what but then when we return the next year we were all in I mean we felt bad for young people if that was their one and only trip to Disney World and they don't get the classic Castle picture. I understand those feelings, but if you go back on the wdw radio blog you will find Walt Disney World confirm. And in My Confession is I loved the castle cake. I mean I was the perfect age for that thing it it was just like imagination brought to life for me as a kid and I had a t-shirt with the cake on it and everything. I mean, I'm I'm surprised there are still people that don't know that it happened because it's just such a controversial issue but I'm always surprised when someone is like, what they painted the castle pink well, and I want to know who was the person that walked into a meeting was like guys. I've got a great idea. We're not going to paint the castle pink but we're going to add on all of these little accoutrements to make it look like there is jelly beans and candy and candy canes and all these things on it put a big 25 on there and look it up put sprinkles on it and we're going to ruin everybody's pictures for the next eighteen months it again sometime. Love it. Some people very much. It was affectionately known to many as the Pepto-Bismol cake because the choice of color very much reminded people of the guy color of Pepto Bismol, but they wanted to really celebrate it in a way that was going to be very impactful and it was because I think it was so divisive for six people. I think some people were very upset going there. I'm almost as well. Whatever. I'll tell a story one day on the live on a Wednesday night live show about my experience with the bulb in castle cake and why it was the kiss of why doing parts of the pink castle cake. I almost didn't visit Walt Disney World for a long time like more than a year, but I thought there were some people that liked it. I think it was not just the pink but I think it was all of these they had these like inflatable extensions on to, Georgia. Carrots and stuff that almost I mean again, it was made to look not like a castle but more like a cake, but they did do it took a little funny when when one of them would start to lose a little air in the afternoon and it can handle it start to droop or it's funny because I actually saw someone yesterday who suck shared on Twitter. Someone was selling pieces of the inflatable. Everyone was questioning whether or not they were real but they had like pieces of the inflatable icing on eBay and I'm sure that there's a collector that wants it off, but they also I mean did some cool things for the anniversary to you were able to get guest of honor badges you could go to what was at the time the Walt Disney story and the disneyana store which was wage. You wouldn't go to City Hall was the opposite side. We're currently the Mickey and princess meet-and-greet are in by Tony's and you can get a guest of honor badge and they would give you a sticker that would log. Mark the first year that you went or you can get a special one. If you were a first-time visitor and the guest of honor and you could also get I think you also got the free took the graph when you registered and the lithograph did not have the pancake fortunately had the blue one and it had it had this it almost looked like this song Gold Leaf type outline with characters in it of Disney characters and said Walters World 25th anniversary on it and they also had a film called Chef Mickey's was Mickey's magical workshop and was at Sorcerer Mickey in there as well that also gave people a sneak peek of our upcoming projects cuz for a long time over the years, this was where the Walter's World preview Center where you'd be able to go and see Epcot and how they would do. It just showed Disney Cruise Line and a model of wage. Disney's Animal Kingdom and he's also buy some sort of like early like preview merch there as well. So I mean they really in addition to the cake. They did a lot of other cool stuff. They did monorail wraps a lot of 25th anniversary items. I'll I'll help you bridge over to Epcot. They did have a new illuminations version called a illuminations twenty-five and different state shows and things like that. But I think when you think of the anniversaries, the first thing that comes to mind for people is to cash. Okay, I'm going to post a question in the clubhouse on Facebook. I want to know we're going to do a poll. Did you love the Cake Boss? Did you hate the cake and see where people lie I have to see if I can dig out a picture of myself with the castle cake shirt on I just want to stare 56. That's all that's focused. Okay. So are we ready to make the jump to have, I feel like we can stay in Magic Kingdom forever we could but let's move make our way over. Okay, so wait, I take that back. Hold on a second. I take the last thing I want to add very quickly. How can I forget about this we talked about places to eat we talked about things to Disney characters. We saw shows parades. We didn't include any places to shop Deer and I think I have to include things. You can't believe do you remember when there was an antique stores in Liberty Square So currently we're yield Christmas shop is there was the old world antique store and they were like real antiques like they were big pieces of furniture and tables and grandfather clocks and brass and pewter and copper and while some were were reproductions there was a lot of one-of-a-kind Antiques and they were actually people that would work for the company that would Travel Country finding, you know, Colonial China and vintage clothing and the cost of the items would range not just from a few dollars in in, you know name. In 70s money, but thousands of dollars like when they go to Walt Disney World. What do you want to bring back Mom? I brought you back this colonial dining set. Where should we put it but the one thing that was unique about it wage every time you went you'd always find something different and if there wasn't that you wanted you should get it when you saw it because wouldn't necessarily be there the next time you went and then next door. We know with Johnny Tremain silversmith shop and the next to that was Mademoiselle lafitte's perfumery that created the custom perfumes. You could go in pick out all of the different types of sense that you wanted and Disney would mix them into really almost an infant number of combinations and then you would have your individual formulas record in a book. So if you went back or dad or brother your husband would ever came back years later you or they could say hey, I'm here to get Kendall's formula, you know 1971 dead. Would remake it for you cuz at your own unique scent and then you could also buy, you know atomizers and bottles and and other sort of regular off-the-shelf Brands, but you went from really creating a truly unique souvenir for somebody go in and create your own brand of perfume. I can imagine kids going in and no put more of that in just keep on adding that and you know, Mom would have thought at least pretend that you liked how nice it's yeah. I mean you bringing that up. I think you almost have to I mean we can just mention them by name but a lot of the Main Street shops that existed for a while to like on Center Street and you know things like the new century clock shop and the Hallmark card shop and the Wonderland of wax and just the flowers candles and yeah like the game house and Main Street Bookshop and even some of the ones that you know for some of us maybe there are more Vivid memories, but for others may be would be surprised by like the penny arcade even I mean, I remember going to a gym. RK but there might for a lot of people that might be kind of, you know something they're entirely missed on or maybe they just kind of have vague memories of seeing those like the moving-picture machines and things like that were in the penny arcade. I spent a lot of time and a lot of quarters in the arcade on Main Street. So let's go over to Epcot cuz if you think stuff got weird and Magic Kingdom wage, yeah epcot's the president of weird and the eighties and nineties. Yeah to make that transition. Let's go back to talking about the giant dinosaur robot off and he was not created for Galaxy search. He was created for a show called.

"Name is Michael Iceberg. And he performed in Walt Disney World. And he also performed in Disneyland just to give you a little bit of background page. Michael Iceberg was a classically trained pianist started learning piano around age four went to a little school called Julliard and somehow ended up in retail music sales was not able to do you know everything that he wanted to with this but he became fascinated by this new keyboard and synthesizer technology wage was coming really into Vogue in the mid-seventies, you know, early eighties and what he did was he programmed a lot of these machines himself and he actually would gather parts and sounds from all of these different non musical areas and bring them to start creating music and from what I understand he wage. Was playing in a bar near the Disney Studios in California where a number of artists would go in they were incredibly entertained by him. They kept on going back to the studios to the higher-ups thing. You've got to hear this guy and eventually got them to come into the bar and he was offered an entertainment gig in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. Eventually came over to Walt Disney World and he was Michael Iceberg and the incredible Iceberg machine and he played in the Tomorrowland Terrace, which is currently on a cosmic rays Starlight Cafe, and this Iceberg machine was This incredibly large and complicated multi keyboard type instrument that he developed by combining all of these different synthesizers to create a very unique musical style and he gathered all this technology into what would become this almost pyramid like structure that Iceberg kind of confined himself in and it was this wild cacophony of music and sounds but he was as much of a performer as the music that he was playing he would stop in between songs off and describe what the machine was and how it people together and how he programmed it and there's all these lights and fog machines that happening again, very eighties ish wage. Described him the things that he gathered and cobbled together from flea markets and washing machine parts and would play songs that were familiar things like the William Tell Overture and Main Street Electrical Parade theme in a different Disney songs. If you go back and find some of the videos and almost sounds like the beginning of stranger things like that weird eighties type of sense, but the guy was wacky man. He was like then I took effect that he was whacked out of his mind. No two shows were every ever the same and you can tell that Disney really gave him and this was was something that I thought was interesting was that they gave him a lot of creative freedom in terms of not necessarily have to scripting the two script out every part of his show. It was this poem very stream of crazy Consciousness that that Michael would do. But what I think it did do to Kendall is it probably got a lot of kids song Listed in music and synthesizers. And again, I don't want to take anything. The guy was a instill as a remarkably talented and gifted not just pianist and composer but singer as well what I thought was really interesting when I went back and watched one of the videos too is as part of the the big Iceberg apparatus there were mirrors up above his head angled down so you could actually see him playing all the different buttons and keys and everything that were on it and was this odd because I never saw this in person but was this at the same time when the stage in there would rise up? Yeah, so he would yeah he would and he come up again amidst this, you know, very easy 70s 80s type, you know lights and fog and smoke and stuff is so it made a very dramatic and grand entrance. Yeah. I mean, it's definitely different kind of music a.m. Is kind of crazy like in a way that like when you listen to stomp or something like it's it's you know, the ability to take all these different sounds and everything and make music out of it and you kind of live off for a while and you think okay what's going on here and then you pick up like, you know, he's playing when you wish upon a star or something, but it's not like a typical Melody. It's just all these different things coming together to somehow make that music. Yeah, I I always found it very I mean think Michael Iceberg was very much an attraction in and of himself. Well, my mom next one, I'm going to stick with some entertainment but I'm going to go the opposite side of the Magic Kingdom over to frontierland. And this was a very Deja Vu moment for me. The one time we were walking through. I mean within the last decade walking through frontierland and I I think we might have even I don't know my husband's known for enjoying corn dogs, which we recently found out. They don't have them are corn dogs at the frontier land car anymore. That's side note but a travesty so we're standing there by the cart the corn dog cart and I'm looking across the way at rooftops and I think to myself I I remember something being here. I remember watching and then I thought know that I'm like I swear I read Four guys shooting in each other on the rooftops and no Disney wouldn't let there be like a shootout in the park and so very recently I thought was looking through some old Disney World ephemera. I had and I had an old times guide that I got minis autograph on and I opened it up and lo and behold in there it listed the frontier lands nutshell. So upon doing some more research. I found out I was not crazy. And in fact, there was a stunt show that took place several times a day throughout frontierland and it was the Marshall and Cactus Jack Slade and his partner Cody and then a character that they just called stupid kid. Ted Cactus Jack and Cody clearly annoyed with with.
