Understanding a Journalist's Sixth Sense

"So stories like Ricky Morton and Justin Bieber, and you've heard enough about me talking about Britney Spears, but all those stories, they don't come to a journalist in a nice, pretty box with a bow on top. We don't get the answer to these stories like that. And these are the kind of stories we won't find out about. Well, we won't find out what was really wrong until many years from now when these people sit down with whoever the next Oprah Obama Walt dish is, right? So in the meantime, in the meantime, that leaves people like me and other journalists, journalists who've hauled their skills after many years of chasing stories to figure out what's going on. I like to say that I have a Spidey sense when it comes to these sorts of stories and my Spidey sense has been right way more than it's been wrong. It's probably operating at 85%. You develop when you work as a journalist, this ability to use this 6th sense, not because you're some mystic. But because you've covered so many stories in 20 some odd years, you tend to know where they're going to go. It's like a cop tracking down a criminal or an animal or a predator chasing down prey. You know where the animal's going to go. So you don't have to make all the calls right away to the publicist and the sources you know. You know, you can probably start out with saying, oh, I know this is going. I think I have an idea.

Caller: Leftie Lessons in Disney's 'Zootopia'

"I don't know if you ever saw the movie Zootopia by Disney there's a part in there whereas the assistant mayor takes over and there's a part of the end where mayor weather goes they say well how can you control everybody And she goes if I make them afraid I can control them and make them do anything I want And it was in a kids movie and I'm thinking to myself are you kidding me They just put that out there and it kids movie And I was shocked because I was thinking why would they ever tell their way of controlling people Two kids but again they're thinking oh hey maybe in the thing is is that when you really think about it as kids it seems basically watered down because it's like oh this is a little lamb She's just saying hey I can control because she's afraid And I'm thinking about that Oh my gosh this is just the way that you look at Disney now Disney is a disgrace Walt Disney wouldn't even recognize his own creation his own company Nothing is safe anymore from these various movements Certainly not our kids They have finally finally figured it's time to conquer the children They're in the classroom They're in the cartoons They're in the movies They're everywhere And there's no there's no question about it I

"Carl. And welcome back to Germany. This is the very, very famous Neuschwanstein Castle. This is the inspiration for Walt Disney for Cinderella, both the movie and the theme parks, fascinating story about this castle. This was crazy king king Ludwig, who built this castle because he wanted a beautiful masterpiece. A lot of cutting edge technology, indoor heating, running water, things that were unheard of at the time, flushing toilets, even a ringing phone. These are things that were well advanced, and that was king Ludwig's innovations. But this is the castle here in Germany, famous for the Cinderella castle. Have you ever been to Disney World or seen the movie Cinderella? And we're getting this beautiful tour of the Bavarian Alps. Disney's Wokeness Costs Them Special Tax Status

"Here's something that'll make you smile if you've been keeping track of this. Just another enormous feather in the Ron DeSantis cap, a major victory, the Florida Senate has passed that bill to abolish what is called the reedy creed improvement district that sounds like just some tiny little local zoning issue, but it is the massive status involving a certain amount of tax avoidance attack a huge tax break for Disney that under desantis and now with the help of the legislature, a Disney is simply not going to enjoy that status. It appears anymore. Awe. Mickey is crestfallen, I'm sure. Walt is spinning in his grave at what the company that bears his name has become a woke, steaming nightmare.

Ron DeSantis Proposes Dissolving Special Tax Status for Disney World

"So Ron DeSantis, as if he doesn't have enough on his plate, is now announced that the state legislature will consider a proposal to eliminate Disney's special tax and governing jurisdiction in desantis fight against the mega corporation's woke politics, quote I'm announcing today that we are expanding the call of what they are going to be considering this week. And so yes, they will be considering termination of all special districts that were enacted in Florida prior to 1968. And that includes the reedy creek improvement district. Now the reedy creek improvement district is one of Disney's special carve outs. It's a special governing and special taxing district for the Walt Disney World resort. In 1967, the Florida legislature approved it to boost economic development and tourism within the district's boundaries. This includes 25,000 acres. Eliminating the special district would be served as a significant economic blow to the Disney corporation. So they should absolutely do it. If you are going to be financing supporting the grooming of children, then use a corporation should not receive special handouts from the state of Florida. If you're going to be against family values and you're going to make Florida a place where you want to push for this LGBTQ garbage, we're going to raise your taxes or at the very least, we're not going to give you special cargo. So you never should have gotten in the first place. This is the latest flight breitbart dot com writes after Disney announced its opposition to the parental rights and education bill that he signed into law. This is the proclamation. On this first day of the redistricting special session, the governor added this. Should lawmakers and special independent special districts established in 1968, he announced it at the villages that has similar self governing districts, though post 1968. Republicans have considered other measures to fight back against Disney's alphabet mafia agenda, including ending Disney $600 million tax cheat loophole. Why You Should Stop "Trusting the Science"

Why You Should Stop "Trusting the Science"

"How many times have you heard we have to trust the science? That the science is settled, you have to wear two masks, you have to get vaccines plus boosters, you must stay at home, you must shower with a mask. The science is settled. How many times have you seen the signs on the side of highways, sponsored by pharmaceutical companies? We trust the science around here. Nancy Pelosi to Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer. We are the pro science party. Now, we've done a fair amount of work in the fields of where this word science came from. And why the cult of science has dominated American life over the last two years. The idea of being able to master the natural world and the human condition through scientific inquiry is nothing new. Science absent of morality is how you get some of the most horrific totalitarian dictatorships like the national socialist Workers Party in Germany or the USSR. Much of it was derived from the industrial revolution where the Germans themselves with Hegel and then marks, they looked at science as a means to the end. All we need is groups of experts in Walt off rooms that had a lot of power and they were able to organize society the way they saw fit. They know better than you. Now, if you look at kind of the push towards the acceptance of the term science over the last 20 or 30 years, there's been some primary actors that have been behind this. One of which is Bill Nye, the science guy. If you grew up in public schools like I did starting in 6th grade, I went to public school in the suburbs of Chicago, almost once a week I would say there was almost an infomercial that was shown with Bill Nye, the science guy. Talking about how cool science was. He would do chemistry experiments he would do physics, demonstrations. He would talk about all sorts of different kind of wrinkles in the natural world that we have discovered. And science was platformed in the eyes of young people in some ways rightfully in some ways dangerously as an irrefutable Pinnacle of human existence.

Canada's Convoy for Freedom Sends Trudeau Into Hiding

"The trucker convoy that has happened all across Canada is nothing short of miraculous. Traveling thousands of miles to the capital city of Ottawa, the Canadian truckers supported by millions of their fellow Canadians Walt straight into Ottawa to demand an end to the vaccine mandates. Now this has been covered if at all by the media as trying to propagandize you to believe that this is some sort of fringe minority. Justin Trudeau himself called this, a fringe group with unacceptable views. And you might wonder where is Justin Trudeau? Well, Justin Trudeau, despite being triple X, boosted and masking all the time, he has contracted COVID. It's funny how those vaccine mandates work. Justin Trudeau tweeted out. He said, I have COVID. Now go get vaccinated. Or so he says, maybe that's just an excuse not to address the people in the streets of Ottawa. Now what's happening in Canada is nothing short of a revival of the citizen. You see, the people need to be rulers of their civilization. Not subjects. It is the people who are the sovereign. The representatives like Justin Trudeau are supposed to serve at the will of the people. That paradigm has been upside down for quite some time. And Canada is a very interesting example, and Canada's no different, by the way, than San Francisco or Seattle or Portland or New York City in this regard, which is the very same hand that gives you the stimulus check. Is the same hand that will force the jab into your shoulder. The very same hand that will make you feel safe for the time being by locking everyone down at home is the same hand that will put a mask on your 6 year old

"Talk about Katie Cora, get Somebody, I'm not going to mention his name because like I said on my Patreon, people email me 99% of them are wonderful people will say great things and they're really sweet. 1% are assholes. This guy today is an asshole. He's listening because he always does. I won't say his name because now I think people who want to get my goat. I treat them as schools, shooters. No names. Just trust me, his initials are JC and he's a shithead. He emails me something to the fact that ha, did you see what Katie corrected, you know? You don't know shit. What are you, you just throw shit against the wall and help it sticks. I really don't know what he's talking about. I think he means that Katie Couric went on The Today Show and talked badly about Matt Lauer. And I had said on preview shows that she liked him and got along with him because I happened to know they had an affair, but guys like JC don't know a goddamn thing. He probably lives in, I don't know, east ass wipe, Alabama, and thinks he knows all about the New York crowd. He knows who gots. The fact is they did have a relationship. Some of them actually did, they figured, let me jump on the Walt train. Well, that's what Katie Cora did the other day on The Today Show. She was actually invited back to her old stomping ground, something she thought she'd never be able to do. And when she went back, she came with the excuse of, well, I did my own reporting and really found out some stuff about Matt. I hadn't known previously. Yeah, okay. As if you're a journalist. "The place that i go to the most colorado's the kids say word to your mother. Right isn't that isn't that. No don't you dare talk about my mother got that listen. You don't remember the joy that was vanilla ice anyway. He does some home makeovers. Now i will tell you seem hormonal the thing that i have been so incredibly impressed with and i made sure i didn't watch any videos or even trying look at any pictures. All four parks now have as their version of maybe you know their kissed nights and sort of the way to say good night to guess our beacons of light and the new magic is calling anthem more poorly spaceship earth beacons of light show at the end of the night is absolutely breathtaking gorgeous. I could out there and watch that over and over again. I i think it's gorgeous I think you said beacons of light. It's the beacons of match. Because i am sure that you got that from me because i was saying beacons of light for the longest time. No i you. And i saw at the same time. The spaceship earth. Just we've seen projections. We saw micro ski. We saw death star random things and it was great as projections. But i feel with the new lights on there. That just became one of the biggest tapestries. That walt disney world has an the point where they turn it into the the globe from eliminations reflections of earth. And it looks just like the bad. Led's from the nineties panning arms are early. Two thousands panting around and doing the world. It was just i. i was breath. My breath was gone. I i can't even speak about it anymore. It was definitely something i when i moved out. Here i was oh go see womb nations every night or the fireworks. That is something that i would stick around epcot for the night and it's not even like a show. It's just a minute of that. And then what they can do with the technology and there was something about it and it's funny. I did have an emotional reaction. Because i think it was being in that plaza. The prison being there again. The lights the flags the monorail with that. Cool sort of underlining on as it comes byles like as as new as this is something nostalgic about it and it just it hit me it did it hit me in all the right field and i think that that i think species birth is absolutely gorgeous. But there's that spontaneity factor again to. It's not just once a night. It's like what fifteen twenty minutes something like that. But you don't necessarily know when that little presentation is going to happen. You just hear the rumble years. Something happening you turn and look towards it and much like what. All these were built for weenies to wean us into the parks to wenas at certain areas we gravitate towards it and then we get the all look and share and be quiet and appreciate for about a minute this cool little presentation that transform. Something that we've looked at so many times all four of those those beacons we've seen so many times at so many different times of day over the years but now they're all completely new and it's incredible and what i love about spatial birth is that you can see it from everywhere you can see it from everywhere in that park you can see from outside the park think about all the different resorts knowing that. You're able to look at a chance to take a look at the new reserve over the swan a dolphin which has three hundred sixty degree practically views on the top and single and you can see space of earth in the distance. And i could imagine just how gorgeous that's going to be seeing the fireworks but seeing that weenie so well off in the distance every rooftop restaurant or bar is going to be the place to be when those go off and i had the magic on my list as well because it was so unexpected I think i remember hearing something about something going on with the four pieces but it didn't really resonate to me how it was being explained but then seeing that for the first time at epcot and how happy it made me in how joyous it was to see it turn into it turned into I got see that one. I got to see the castle magic kingdom. But now i wanna see the two. Because i didn't get a chance in unfortunately before i get a chance to that that's going to be one of the first things i wanna do when i come back. Yeah it's a it's a reason to not. Just stay in the parks that night but to go and visit of anything in the present that you guys want to touch on there to to quickly the expansion of france. I really think that's a beautiful space. I think it's really nice to walk back there. The the right side of just being able to go back in that little corner always loved france for its design and the fountains to add this additional space back there and then the crabs are amazing. I sat there. And i had my little crap and i. It made me feel like i did. When i was actually embarrassed that it's authentic it's really good Good food but the one. I wanna bring up because i want to hear what everybody thinks about it so i have some thoughts besides the bishop to twenty. I didn't get to go to twenty Begins flight having enchantment. I want to talk about in chapman. Because it's interesting is i. I saw it twice and a stream of it. And the first time i saw it it did hit me emotionally in a couple of places. It was because of the marriage of the music. The pyro and the projections. So you brought them all together and i felt it Being able to see the projections we saw it from the rooftop at contemporary the other night and it didn't have that same hit to me of emotion as it did. Because you don't see the projections you just see the pilot the music so i really believe that. You can't judge enchantment based on anything that is streaming again much like harmonious and not even just watching it from the lagoon or watching it from the beach at poly you. You really do need to be standing there in the hub or a little bit farther back on main streets you get the whole projection feel and you get to see what's on the castle and you get to see the the pyro and you have the music blaring at you. I think that particular show in general is meant to be seen in person with all of that around you. Three sixty to really have the impact that they're trying to give you. Yeah i agree. Placements just like disneyland. Do you know where you watch. The mixed magic show is important. And i think the sweet spot is just a little bit north of center street on main street. You're saying because. I i still have not seen the projections as well anything else. Present time just the enchantment. I i've only seen it. The ones To me it. It is what the fireworks should be. I mean sadly like connor mentioned earlier about eliminations reflections for being there for twenty years it that is in our head nothing will ever top. It wishes by far one of the most beautiful fireworks. We all love it. The music jimmy cricket part But happily ever after when that started like connor mention. Everybody is up in arms. And i saw it and i was like okay. It's a fun show three years later when it went away i was sad because it does have that emotional touch especially when tinkerbell flies this one. I saw the first night i was there live. I was mostly sitting behind my camera. Filming it so to me. It's it's a normal fire. Disney fireworks show. It is set to bring the fields of the kids that have seen all of the current disney movies again. It's not about us old people. We aren't the ones that are spending the money on everything. Sorry connor to jump punitive. It's about starting the new memories for the kids and throwing in riot throwing.

"What it did but all of those. You know year long celebrations. Obviously we have a pretty big one right now. But i kinda missed. The ones that were weren't so much marketing weren't so much. come here. Were more you know about the year of a million dreams sort of things you know helping people out making memories things like that. I thought all of those for a good long. While we're we're really really really not only popular but but great ideas on my list. Good and i. I have a love hate relationship with it because i never nothing not. Give me a pin. Can you let did i went to the level. Oh look there's lumine jello run. Run is just going to talk about as podcast. Then we're gonna get ambushed by these people about. That was the surprise and delight. And i know the reason why you may not like it but i loved the ability to just make. Somebody's day and it didn't have to be something big. It could be something small pin fast. Pass anything. i think that that was one of the most brilliant campaigns that they've ever done that embodied so many different guests and gave benefits to so many different guests in were still walking around with those memories and talking about it today more importantly it empowered the cast members to do what cast members do which is make people happy and yes. They had things that you know at four zero seven. Pm row to seat. Three of kilimanjaro safari. But there were also when. I'm still friends with some of the members of the dream squad. Throw me a pin man. It's been fourteen years right but but they're able to go up and make magic for people. And that i think is is the perfect cast member role. But let's we clean move from the past into that. I just like to say. I miss ditches great escape. I'm kidding attraction. Suck tom kidding. I'm kidding. I everyone Yeah i i miss haiti. That's what i. That's what i miss you. Misuse it great escape. You meant supersonic celebration. Both of them I will say a relatively new one that we just recently lost which i loved so much the disney must use featuring stacey It's transitioned i will say on. I m b. as a nine point three out of ten and it's not because i've created twenty four separate accounts logged in but those are two. I think when you walk in to your hotel room very much always the beginning of the trip you turn on the tv. That's the first thing you would see. And i think It was very special for a lot of people for for many many many years and had a couple of durations. But i mean it ran its course but it was definitely something i always look forward to everybody's friend she was if you're talking about things that you don't miss from the past extraterrestrial is my all the back of your head. It's it spits on you. This thing is are. We learned about the alien the alien that i stand that i can tell you that there. There are very few things that my first visit that. I was dying for dying to get on american adventure just because that is one of the most iconic attractions for epcot the twilight zone tariff terror. They just moved it into the fear. Every drop version five point. Oh or something and the george. Lucas presents the extraterrestrial alien counter. As i am i won't i won't fight that but it was such. It was the the attraction that you never thought you would see and in in the magic kingdom and sadly it you know it turned into one of the worst punch lines as connor just pointed out of stitches. Great escape but it was. I wanna say it was almost walt like where he wanted to challenge the guests with new attractions and new adventures. I i don't know won't ever would have had you know something licking the back of your neck. But it was the animatronic this sir was amazing. Skippy was by far skippy. Was one of the best. Non p plush next figment in disney history. And now he's gone by way of the dodo but alien counter was by far one of my favorite attractions. And i'd love watching everybody just walking out of there screaming screaming. That was my mom by the way. Just say i remember. I literally remember the day we got off. My dad and i were like dots awesome. My mother's like. I wanna talk to a manager. I'm kidding she didn't say that. But we talked about this. Because it was such a non walt disney world like attraction and the fact that they were pushing the envelope. Because and you can credit this to michael eisner who after the attraction soft opening. Shut this down. Make it scarier because he realized that he was losing the thirteen to twenty four year old. You know teenage boy. Who wanted something exciting to get. Your blood pumping was for everybody. Absolutely not not everything is necessarily supposed to be but i sort of love the fact that they push the envelope especially in a place like magic kingdom so but let's move from the past into the present and i really wanna hear about five ish things that were really enjoying most right now including end. Or what's new right. We just you know as we're celebrating. We're beginning to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of walt disney. World there have been in the introduction of probably more than the average guest might realize. There's a lot. Actually that was introduced. Even though we didn't get everything that we were supposed to because of the pandemic. But what are the things that you are loving right now. Either in terms of what brand new for the fifth anniversary just in general you know twenty twenty one to me. I'm gonna go with. The first thing that i thought of and this is probably going to be controversial. I can't wait to kind of hear everybody else's thoughts about this and lou may have to edit me. I'm not exactly sure. I adore harmonious. I absolutely love it. There is a story. I've i've watched the internet light itself on fire right afterwards. I think people made a mistake of watching the stream. Because if you're watching a stream you're getting what the director end or person that's filming it. is important to them not necessarily important to you and there is a story. This story is his random stuff. No there's a story it's it's drawn between it to unite all.

"Part of what. I and i think we love about walt disneyworld and the disney parks. Is that when we pass through its portals. Maybe even as we. I drive onto property. We leave the real world behind us but every now and then it slips its way in not in a bad way but in a good familiar and off from humorous and wonderful way and it makes its way in through the stories that are told here. Of course no story could be told without the characters that populate them and it's within those characters that we find some familiar names faces and voices and there are undoubtedly and actually likely way more than you think actually more celebrity cameos in both current and extinct tractions than you probably can remember so this week. We're gonna look at some of our favorites most memorable obscure and maybe even a few odd ones as we share our top ten celebrity cameos in walt disney world and making a not so rare. Cameo himself is a man who goes by. Many names is an enigma wrapped in a mystery cuddled. Within a conundrum he is of course mr tim foster of both celebrations magazine and guide to the magic dot com. If i'm remembered for nothing else than cuddling in the conundrum the cuddling can whatever you said that. Warrant my heart. That's what i was hoping you very much. it's true you are a man of many mysteries. But i am so glad to have you back but to continue to call you friend after all low these many years and we were just saying before we start recording. I think we've sort of dabbled into this realm but we've never actually done a complete show about celebrities at walt disney world. And i think this is really. I think cameos by celebrities at the disney park specifically disneyworld is really interesting. Because it's not necessarily the reason why you would go to see an attractor show like the same way as liberty might attracted to a movie or a tv show. But it's more like a nice surprise. Exactly and i'm waiting for the rules that you're gonna put in place as this is. This is actually fun. Because i anticipated some rule. She might put in place. And i already thought out my well planned out arguments.

"Name tag when i did it. It was like an The final chapter. It was an end. No you know it was that part of my life is over right. The working for walt disneyworld is over So it was kind of a sad memory you know and in a lot of ways as well. But then as i've you know gone on and i've met people in the disney creator space and i've met other disney cast immersed through wcw opinion and and all this other fun. I don't see this framed. Name tag as an endpoint anymore. I see it as a middle point in my life. Before i worked at walt disney world. There is my life. When i worked at walt disney world. Now there's my life still has disney fan as a former cast member as someone who loves to share -isneyworld with other people. So when i look at my frame name tag like that i i see that. This is part of my history. Now it's not an end point of anything. It's just part of the story and that's why i love it of course. Yeah and that's you know it's one of those items that is is priceless to you. It's priceless like i don't imagine us selling not for any price because of just what that means to you and and everything else that you're doing sort of really sort of falls under the umbrella of that item right all these other things wouldn't have happened to you. Had it not been for you being a cast member during that time absolutely in. It's it's something that i i've funnel everything through that something. You can't take away from me. I will have always been a cast member. I will always have that knowledge in those memories of working in the park. So that's why it's it's super super important to me so the next one. I go to look if you've ever heard this show before. Have you ever watched editing. Do i a kid at heart. I am a seven year old kid trapped in a slightly older body. And i do i love. I love the toys. I love the fun things too. And i love things that are fun as well as being unique and when i look at my collection in terms of things that are unique things that you can't find anymore which adds it adds value to me because i understand the rarity of it But more importantly items that connect to maybe the attractions. That are my favorites. You mentioned the haunted mansion which is why sort of bump this up on my list and plus two because of how unique. This item is and It's called a haunted mansion secret panel chest box and it's a small. It's about six inches by four inches by three inches or so rectangle and these were originally released in disney land in probably about nineteen sixty nine There's a disneyland version. There's a haunted mansion version and the box itself. the physical item is actually rare. I have seen very very few of these. Very few these in really good condition and i'm fortunate that that mayan is is you know in in near mint condition and the idea. Is this small wooden box. has no lock and key system. It has no visible way of opening it but if you know how to it requires about twenty different steps to slide different pieces up and down and it reveals sort of different mechanisms to open it and inside of it. There is a secret compartment. And there's a secret drawer to there's a. There's a color decal on the top..

"Disney wars and all of that, and actually if you go back, excuse me and listened to show number four, zero seven. We have a detailed discussion about ten books that need to be in every Walt Disneyworld fans library and I won't spoil it for you. But some of these books are in there including the story of Walt. Disney World Jeff Cardi book is in there. The Walt Disney's epcot center is a fantastic book since the world began another Jeff Kurti Book imagineering fueled guides are in there and a number of others I think. I think the designing. Disney book. Might be under the architecture of reassurance I think made this list there's a second. This is a follow up an additional ten additional books that need to be on in every world and I'm not. This is not meant to just say, no none of these books are a plug for any of the Walt Disney World Trivia, books? One. Hundred Eighty. Four disneyworld. Pictures Range. That's why the pirates. Up a pop up Trivia Book. There you go. That's All worlds right there. The production costs alone or make that incredibly. So isn't it time? Isn't it time for a new book though I actually just found as I was not only cleaning out my garage and closets but my mom's house after she passed did you ever did I ever? I don't even know. I. Think I knew when I did my Walt Disneyworld Trivia page a day calendar. We we're just yes you had. You were giving those away. At one point and yes, I remember seeing them You know what I found a guess what you're getting for Christmas. In two, thousand, nine calendar going to actually up with whatever. Month Day. So It was that was a ton of fun to do. It was a ton to research because obviously I needed three hundred, sixty, five different bits of Trivia. But had this little like flip book animation in the CY and Doing some Trivia Games and stuff like that. Correct. They were at the time. Probably, not so much but a very expensive thing to produce just and to get onto to bookshelves but it was very cool. That was two, thousand nine. So it's a different daily also. Let's move on. Catherine Renee Williams says oh I just like the title Disneyland Rumor or fact. Show, music. Year. That how the Games are musicals all right. Sure why not I was I once heard this about the sleeping beauty castle in Disneyland. Isn't it? True? That the top half is on backwards. When I first heard this I thought this is ridiculous surely not she says, but recently, I saw a picture of the back of sleeping beauty castle never actually been to Disneyland. We was going to Disneyworld and there was something very elegant and front of the castle looking to it. So I was wondering if the rumor was true after all I, really love the show actually awaiting the newest episodes. Thank you for bringing us a little bit of Disney magic every week it makes cleaning less of a drag. So I love this question and I actually love the answer and the story even more because as Legend has it and this this has been you know we've heard people like Marty sklar and and Bob Girl and others tell the same and stimulus similar story so I take it to be true. When the castle was being designed. Herbie Reimann. Who obviously legend legendary measure was designing the castle he was integrating a number of different elements from noiselessly stink castle in Bavaria and other story elements from Disney and folklore. And when he? Created. His initial sketches of the castle was turned into a three D. model as as everything was was created in miniature so they could actually visualize what it would look like in a in the park. Get an idea of sight lines and aesthetics etcetera and after he saw it in Three D., he was kind of staring at it and dead. Just, just not right about this and. He wanted to be an needed to be an obviously Walter agreed that it needed to be. Quote Unquote perfect right because this really was the the symbol of the entire place and the person who actually had done. The motto was Fred You're who you might know as The imagine who did a lot of the rock work in both. Disneyland as well as Walt Disneyworld the actually fine Freddie Krueger. He was honored with a tombstone and in a in the haunted mansion here lies dear old Fred. A great big rock fell on his head will upgraded rock on his head because he designed all the rottweiler rock work so. So. Her we look at it and says, you know it's great. But I, just I'm not digging it and according to story he basically took the upper part of the model, picked it up and turned it around and was playing around to see how it might look and he's doing this as they're getting ready for a meeting with Walt Disney and it might have been. I. Don't want to say I. Don't maybe Dick was I. don't think it was big news I remember who it was. So look you gotta hurry up and put this back walters coming in and he didn't and walt walks in and he looks at the castle and he's like. I like this this this looks much better than your original design was. So the like. Okay, if Walter, it's okay. This is what we're going to go with Walt likes Herbie likes it and that's the story about how the back the top half of the castle is backwards. From the original design that's very cool. I had not heard that story before and. This is the type of thing when you hear those backstories why we've been so blessed to be able to hear them from Mardi when he was with us and others to hear the behind the velvet rope stories of how these things came about and that little piece of Trivia is incredibly Colt now. Well and what's what's cool about a two is sometimes. There are these happy little accidents you know to sort of US deserve. Euphemism. That is how some of these things. Actually come to be much like those happy little accidents of things that happened with us when we're planning events. Like our conversation, the other day, which I won't end to hear. But no, it was there was a happy little accent so. All right. Let's go. Oh, I'm entering this question. I. Don't even know what the question is. I'm answering own simply because of who sent it it's from Corey Bassett, the keeper of the box. Inquiry. Who He's the keeper of the box because during the twenty three, Expos Corey is there manning the technical side of the live broadcast literally carrying around someone's got to do it and? I appreciate you cory and core is also a member of our armed services and I appreciate his service and sacrifice. So very well. So I don't even care what your questions, Corey I'm answering it here. And it says and I quote Peleliu Dot Dot and probably Her Majesty becky whole. Wow Corey..

"That they were at the studios. Yeah I couldn't find how long they were there. So it was probably like a blinking you mystic kind of thing. Know. So we were just talking about superheroes at the park I think that there were two other superheroes that very much bear mentioning. I'm saying Superheroes tongue-in-cheek because I could not believe I guess I. could because of what they hoped it would become but. Do you remember? Dick Tracy. Tracy. Tracy Johnke diamond has just been stolen from the museum. I'm on my way and his diamond double cross spectacular thirty minute production. which was based on the film starring Warren Beatty and Madonna that they thought was going to be like the next big franchise. They, you know this is a film that dizzy put a lot of money and marketing power behind the The even got this This particular project in terms of the diamond double show into the theater stars very quickly because this was part of this launching of the the Disney decade and they only had it here but they had a show that was performed at video palace in Disney land. But these they were both very, very short lived Um I know. The Walt Disney world one lasted less than a year and I think the Disneyland one lasted even less time. I think we did a show where we looked at some of the extinct stage shows of Walt. Disneyworld I'll put a link to it or just you can search for it in your podcast. APP, on the WTO website, we talk a little more. About, dictate Tracy and the diamond double-cross show. But did you also know that there was another stunt show a small one that came about in nineteen ninety-five to promote another film and that took place on the New York area back lot a few times a day it was not made by Disney it was a character that was completely licensed from Morgan. Creek. Productions. And it.

"Name is Michael Iceberg. And he performed in Walt Disney World. And he also performed in Disneyland just to give you a little bit of background page. Michael Iceberg was a classically trained pianist started learning piano around age four went to a little school called Julliard and somehow ended up in retail music sales was not able to do you know everything that he wanted to with this but he became fascinated by this new keyboard and synthesizer technology wage was coming really into Vogue in the mid-seventies, you know, early eighties and what he did was he programmed a lot of these machines himself and he actually would gather parts and sounds from all of these different non musical areas and bring them to start creating music and from what I understand he wage. Was playing in a bar near the Disney Studios in California where a number of artists would go in they were incredibly entertained by him. They kept on going back to the studios to the higher-ups thing. You've got to hear this guy and eventually got them to come into the bar and he was offered an entertainment gig in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. Eventually came over to Walt Disney World and he was Michael Iceberg and the incredible Iceberg machine and he played in the Tomorrowland Terrace, which is currently on a cosmic rays Starlight Cafe, and this Iceberg machine was This incredibly large and complicated multi keyboard type instrument that he developed by combining all of these different synthesizers to create a very unique musical style and he gathered all this technology into what would become this almost pyramid like structure that Iceberg kind of confined himself in and it was this wild cacophony of music and sounds but he was as much of a performer as the music that he was playing he would stop in between songs off and describe what the machine was and how it people together and how he programmed it and there's all these lights and fog machines that happening again, very eighties ish wage. Described him the things that he gathered and cobbled together from flea markets and washing machine parts and would play songs that were familiar things like the William Tell Overture and Main Street Electrical Parade theme in a different Disney songs. If you go back and find some of the videos and almost sounds like the beginning of stranger things like that weird eighties type of sense, but the guy was wacky man. He was like then I took effect that he was whacked out of his mind. No two shows were every ever the same and you can tell that Disney really gave him and this was was something that I thought was interesting was that they gave him a lot of creative freedom in terms of not necessarily have to scripting the two script out every part of his show. It was this poem very stream of crazy Consciousness that that Michael would do. But what I think it did do to Kendall is it probably got a lot of kids song Listed in music and synthesizers. And again, I don't want to take anything. The guy was a instill as a remarkably talented and gifted not just pianist and composer but singer as well what I thought was really interesting when I went back and watched one of the videos too is as part of the the big Iceberg apparatus there were mirrors up above his head angled down so you could actually see him playing all the different buttons and keys and everything that were on it and was this odd because I never saw this in person but was this at the same time when the stage in there would rise up? Yeah, so he would yeah he would and he come up again amidst this, you know, very easy 70s 80s type, you know lights and fog and smoke and stuff is so it made a very dramatic and grand entrance. Yeah. I mean, it's definitely different kind of music a.m. Is kind of crazy like in a way that like when you listen to stomp or something like it's it's you know, the ability to take all these different sounds and everything and make music out of it and you kind of live off for a while and you think okay what's going on here and then you pick up like, you know, he's playing when you wish upon a star or something, but it's not like a typical Melody. It's just all these different things coming together to somehow make that music. Yeah, I I always found it very I mean think Michael Iceberg was very much an attraction in and of himself. Well, my mom next one, I'm going to stick with some entertainment but I'm going to go the opposite side of the Magic Kingdom over to frontierland. And this was a very Deja Vu moment for me. The one time we were walking through. I mean within the last decade walking through frontierland and I I think we might have even I don't know my husband's known for enjoying corn dogs, which we recently found out. They don't have them are corn dogs at the frontier land car anymore. That's side note but a travesty so we're standing there by the cart the corn dog cart and I'm looking across the way at rooftops and I think to myself I I remember something being here. I remember watching and then I thought know that I'm like I swear I read Four guys shooting in each other on the rooftops and no Disney wouldn't let there be like a shootout in the park and so very recently I thought was looking through some old Disney World ephemera. I had and I had an old times guide that I got minis autograph on and I opened it up and lo and behold in there it listed the frontier lands nutshell. So upon doing some more research. I found out I was not crazy. And in fact, there was a stunt show that took place several times a day throughout frontierland and it was the Marshall and Cactus Jack Slade and his partner Cody and then a character that they just called stupid kid. Ted Cactus Jack and Cody clearly annoyed with with.

"I want to sit in the Boulder Ridge lobby with Walt Disney next me and listen in the quiet. To the soundtrack of the boulders lobby at Wilderness Lodge It's such an array of songs, and if you know me, you know that's like a personal place for me. It's almost the places you can go and you can escape and you don't have to worry about anything at life and you can just sit there and think in it's quiet in the smells perfect everything about that spot just. Feels like home to me and it's something I think he would really appreciate because you've got that care would pacific Rim right across the way you got the fireplaces you've got everything that's grand and At the same time very. quaint and in different in a way that's very welcoming and I think he'd be really proud of the way that Disney has portrayed all that and it's it's his part of his story, but it's also not historian away in your face. It's a learning experience about. Trains in the past in. So many things that as I like to say, the typical guest with ain't going to overlook but those who seek out are gonNA find huge amount of value there. You know that in my case I was. Actually, I was thinking like back, east but I thought about Feta burs sets as some inspiration because the all the recounts that he was a big fan of the song and then I start to assume that he was fan of love catching maladies. So the one that I choose was married life married life is the thing from up. And to show to show him and not only the song that initial sequence movie six would be. For me if it will be perfect, I love that Song I love the melody that. That saw. And sneak another one just took his is not so obvious. It's not so obvious. Just a Sh- justice shake things a little bit up would throw a Hawaiian Hula coaster. Just for that. So I love the fact that not only did you say married life but becky looked like what song is that from? Back yet it's Michael G Aquino who. Don't even get me started on on how much I love Michael J. Keno who may or may not have written songs for you know some of the things that we have spoken of. Tonight however, I am so glad that none of you mentioned the right answer. Because I think floor and look I think that somebody can easily argue that. Walt you need to sit down and hear this little song. Let it go. It's crazy. How much money made but. Two daughters. Let it go. That was actually on my list. But I think the song that you have to play for Walt is really walt It's written by the Sherman brothers it embodies. Everything that Walt. Is it's the title of Marty sklar books. So you know he and I are thinking the same thing one little spark of inspiration is at the heart of all creation of I think. Walt would love the fact that the Sherman's like kept on going and they kept that spirit alive and I think there's a lot of Walt. In those lyrics, it is not just the epcot anthem I think it is a it is a walt. Disney anthem. Good what the Nice thing about these is there is no mean except for a couple of Becky's and Jason really no wrong answers to most of of these but I what I do want to do is I did not ask you these ahead of time because I want to mix things up and have a little fun. I, want to do a little bit of A. Of a lightning round and you know, yes to to to quote waltz nephew whenever he says look, it's not fair to say what do you think walt would think about well, I want to know anyway what do you think walt would feel about certain things knowing walt as we do from what we've read and heard and stories that we've heard told by people that that know him and worked with him. So. We'll start with the original order of ladies first again only charity go last. Sorry. Okay. So we'll go reverse order again. I WANNA know ver ver- relatively quickly this is more discussion than anything. So you know what? No particular order if you have something to contribute just blurted out I wanna know what do you think walt would feel about of many of you brought this up on different occasions What do you think walt would feel about epcot we know by far the most exciting the most important part of what we're doing here in Florida is our epcot project. What do you think what would feel about what it was what is and what it's going to become? He will love it I think y he will because it is. It is a, it is a park that you most of all you contemplate things is not apart to for ride surfer and anything is just a company contemplate to even contemplate the people there are walking around you. So I think you'll love. Approach with curiosity and be very eager to see what's coming with the changes I think he would wonder who drops the ball. I think yeah that's what I thought too I. Think He. Thinks it's a kindly initially, I would love to show him around. But I think Bridge Walt did not leave you know walt on his deathbed did not leave and I'm playing devil's advocate. I'm not saying I, greet US but. Walt did not leave his specific vision for what Epcot was to be many telltale of how walt was literally laying in his bed sort of mapping epcot in his mind on the ceiling tiles. But that was not necessarily put down on paper. So they were left with these two seemingly diametrically opposed ideas for what epcot future world world showcase was going to be and they did you know sort of the best with what they had and zero Zero leadership, but it was hard for some. Say I'm going to step in Walt's shoes. This is what I think walt wanted as opposed to none of us know let's just sort of figure something out because this project is is already. off the ground. Well, that's what I thinking. I think his initial thought would be disappointment, but then I think that it would it the disappointment would turn inward. I think he would recognize that. too much of that project is as well as other projects too much wrapped was all dependent upon him and his force of his just force of personality and his ability to bring these disparate groups together, and then to convince people to sponsor things until like and can convince governments to to just kind of let things happen I. Think I think once the story once he was told the story I, think he would appreciate the aspects that are there today I? Think he would be very curious to see what's coming next and I bet he'd have some things to say. They should finish the project that they just started right I don't WanNa be the guy to explain to them like wall. This is why we couldn't build the city. This is old this. I someone agree that there might be a tad of disappointment at the first. This is like the question that I wish I knew the answer to but to not have been able to realize bringing this dream into somebody's real world that wasn't just the fantasy piece of of the lands but to to really impact people's everyday lives. I. Think that may have sparked a little disappointment. But what it ended up being a course has his own joy in its own experiences too. So I kind of agree with Jason that I think I, it might be that hit of it's not something we're able to impact everyone's daily life from creating the city but. This is what has become an it has.

"I would love to see his reaction to it. I think it's one of the most beautiful things that's come out of the cannon a long long time. I'm not a huge fan of live action movies and I'd love to have a conversation with him about them but I do think that this one was extraordinarily done. some of the character development came out of it and seeing prince charming actually have some personality and needless to say what Helena Bonham Carter with godmother. Was Brilliant. But Yeah I would love to watch it with him in sort of maybe use that as a bridge to kind of talk about the old school stuff and how that was done, what his thoughts are on the remakes that are happening now but also I just I just think that the message and visuals in in that movie works to ordinary. Ever seen it. It's one deal at like I am not a huge fan of I. Don't think there's any other live action that I've really been. A huge fan of but it's it's so beautifully done. I mean Cate Blanchett Brilliant. So Becky will since. Collins. Stole. Part of mine, and then I could easily kind of flip it and say, Mary poppins to hear the back story but I'm not GonNa do that I'm GonNa, go. I'm GonNa take a different tactics something that he didn't have any hand in because obviously collins already told us all the back stories that we're going to hear now. Comes around. Exactly. So. I'M GONNA go. If he's going to end up having to go into galaxies edge. I'M GONNA. Go a star wars. And the reason I'm going to say that is I remember sitting in the theater. And the first opening scene with that, start a story coming over your head and being just in awe of what I was seeing experiencing from just the opening scene the difference in that technology and how a story was being presented I think he would appreciate that difference between nineteen, sixty, six and nineteen, seventy, seven it really from the time he passed on there wasn't. A lot of years between those two technology and how things were presented were completely changing and I think that he would appreciate how. Different, it was being presented on screen as opposed to when he was involved in the movies that he was He was working on such as like the animation with Mary, poppins and so forth. So I think that's what I'll go with. You know I am both grateful as well as shocked and appalled. That none of you mentioned the obvious choice. How none of you even mentioned in passing two thousand eleven's Mars needs moms is just beyond me. Disappointment we get it clearly. You know what? I didn't have any honorable mentions I didn't have any other ones on my list. This is the first one that came to mind and. And I'm and I feel comfortable that it's strong enough not that I didn't even feel the need to think to any others and I think wally is one of the best made animated films of our generation. I think. I think waltz would love it not just from a technological perspective and nostalgia and the messaging of environment and technology and religion but I, think that the ability. To tell a story. With no words and if you look at the first, you know to acts of that film. There's really no dialogue than you know the sounds that wally and even I give Andrew Stanton incredible amounts of respect and credit for this. I think it is a beautiful love story between two characters that you know that there's there's a humanity to these robots. That that is remarkable. Again, I can do an entire show about why think wally is so good but Yeah I guess for me it it it was far and away because it came in and it came in strong. For me, I love that yeah. Amazing Yeah. So what What would be the TV show that you'd WanNa Watch with Walt and I think he can have some fun with fun with this one I didn't I did not qualify it release Oh again we'll do the same reverse order just for fun so Colin Colonel Carlos Jason Lisa and Becky. I'm giving you time to think and I didn't have a great answer for this be quite honest but I went with something this May or may not count but I went with Disney plus and prompt culture just because I think it would be interesting to see especially the Mary poppins episode and know I'm going back to that again but. something about the legacy that those films have had especially Mary poppins in this case. and. The effect they've had on people's lives, not only the people that are part of them and seeing that. But also how all of that were preserved to an extent and how they found at different places and how it's meant so much to so many people in his created memories for so many over the and a simple answer much like a lot of line tonight But that's that's what I went to and I don't even know if it counts as a TV show, it's more of a series but. There we go. I, dig it I I. Dig that. Answer Carlos. Remain so hard because I'm not a TV show guy but Now being second is easy. I will go with the Menzel Orien- and the hope storytelling progression of that series I. Think it is it is amazing no. In some way I can again include John Farrow in the whole in the whole thing in it's a I loved it and I'm not someone that usually. No sticks to its visual to a series. But in that one in that case, it's it's amazing. Clearly Three's company would be the appropriate answer. No. I I think it's really hard I just WanNa have fun. I think I think we'd watch if we could only watch one episode of something we'd Watch the very first episode of Finnish verb. Wow rollercoaster. Episode started off. Just, I mean it's so it's such good fun. It's clean. It's it's it just draws you in you love these characters by the end of the the That that particular episode Yeah, and it was a hit I mean it'd be remains a huge hit within the Disney the oh now I wanna change my answer the gravity falls, but that's another good one God an amazing one had. That in right Lisa now I'm just waiting for weeded drop lost into the shuffle. Actually actually pay lost for for like a heartbeat. Lost already. Worth Guy. Kate. Watch. Watches buffy the vampire slayer to know so as much as I would love to binge out on stranger things with Walt. Now I I mean my my like obvious easy answers the during story I don't know if that qualifies as TV show he cut the cord awhile ago. So I don't like have A. Watch it on the device in your living room or your phone accounts as TV. Okay so yeah. I. I would love to ask. Stories series while just get the sort of some of the back. Act Inside and let him see what's what's happened. Fast forward I saw this one already. I I was there just move on to keep going. Get to anything sixty six. Per about cries mccraw. Becky. I'm not sure like this last position anymore. It's Fallen to my politics took my second Carlos took my third Lisa took my i. I'm just going to say you know what I WanNa test, his wicked sense of humor and watch rick and Morty..

"To to have walt meeting Kevin Feige. Kevin is my hero and just a short a little story the last last year twenty, three hours. I was walking through a towards the W W radio booth with. Resilient Jersey to present to my your friend Liu and debt, and then when I got there, there was lou talking with Kevin. Feige fans was already crying there because. That guy is a hero and I would love to see. The conversation ought to hear the conversation between both and a guy like Kevin Feige I was. I was almost throwing another one there but I will leave to to to see my friends but the Kevin Feige Guy. Followed a similar perspective, the Carlos and went to the film side of things and. Actually went all the way to. Pixar with Dr mostly because they inside out because. To Have Him Walt, and then somehow me in the mix right there sitting talking over dinner or something like that. Just to pick the minds of people who seem utterly no everybody else's. Is just amazing to me that they always. Especially, with inside out, it's like you're portraying all of us can think, but never can quite get into words and both of them were so good at transporting new to a place for transporting to emotional or transporting to something that is so hard to depict I think being able to draw from each of those in the empathy that they provide would just be an incredible experience in to hear their thoughts of how. reenactor we're not necessarily reenact but reiterate that. In the way they do what they do, and now they do it so well. So you know I thought a lot about this one. And I'm. GonNa. I'm GonNa Invoke podcast or privilege. I don't particularly care because I'm going to answer this question though the way that I need to answer it I have a an a an incredible man respect for Bob Eiger and I mean this with the utmost respect to both. Named gentleman I think there was a lot of Walt, Disney in Bob Eiger I. think There's a lot of Bob Eiger that carries on Waltz Legacy at the very least from a business perspective wall surrounded himself by the people that were the very best at what they do. I. Think Bob has done that on a much grander scale surrounding himself and the company by other companies are the best at what they do in terms of storytelling companies. Like Lucasfilm like Marvel Thought from a creative perspective and someone who likes to push boundaries like Walt I think Jodi needs to be there as well. So I decided I'm having dinner and I'm inviting Bob Eiger. Joe Rhody Kevin Wiley income you can put whoever you on them. Much listen, Kevin, feige, who you know. Again, one of the great blessings of this show has been able to get to know and and become friends with Kevin and understand like you said Carlos I think there's a lot of. The waltz thinking and in Kevin to I think he's a he's a brilliant storyteller whose Whose wife is motivated in pure passion for the brand both Marvel and star wars and to then. Jon. FAVREAU has to be there to yes. I. Think John Farrell Right now is is. I don't want to sort of single him out but you know. In terms of of storytelling and vision and. Again pushing the envelope so I wanNA have dinner with. A dream dream big kids. I WanNa have dinner with Bob, Eiger, Walt Disney Joe, Rhody Kevin Foggy, and Jon favreau and even. Cozy Cole Motel like we're GONNA up a little bit and since I'm probably making the reservation for you, I'm going to add a couple of chairs and I'm going to add Kevin Rafferty and Carter to it from measuring because a I would love to hear Walt and Kevin Rafferty talk about imagineering and that process in what it meant back then and what it means now. So we started to. A few you mentioned in all of us mentioned. People whose dealings with the parks are go beyond that right onto the the big and the small screens and let's look that's we're walt got his start. So I think it's only appropriate that we think about that as well. What would be the one movie that you'd want him to see? More, importantly, what would be the one movie that you'd like to sit down and watch with Walt? I'm going to make things up a little bit I'm GonNa go in reverse order. So Colin Carlos Lisa and Becky. So I'm glad I had a good answer for this and I had it prepared. I'M GOING TO SAVE MR banks and I do it not decision. Hey, look at you on the big screen but rather to say. How does this portray what you saw what you experienced, how it was in your interaction with these people? Especially, the Sherman brothers and I know Richard. Sherman. Tanks said it's a very keen likeness to it, and that's incredible the here. But just to hear walt explain it and share the back story in the little details of that. and to see how he thinks of Tom Hanks portraying him. I'm always a huge Tom Hanks fan everything. He does this just amazing to me but. That's where I have to go and it's part of sentimental reasons because I absolutely loved that movie because of the nostalgia factor but I gotta go save Mr Banks. Well my movie, My it is not so obvious thing But I, love him to watch with me Lillo institutes and for many reasons Janney mation. Arctic, is amazing. At is both classic and Flash and the whole Ohana a theme and is such a strong family statement and that movie and at the that is one of the best rates in the universe I think this is my family I found it its own, my own my own is ladle and broken, but still good I think is great. I think is great. It's a good one. Yeah. Jason. I this was this was near impossible. To Nail Denton says tear down to one I wanted to be I wanted to be selfish and pick my favorite. But I won't do that. I think it would be meet the robinsons. Meet the robinsons with them because I think. It gets to the heart of everything that he was about. And everything that he blunt Stanford terms of them. Inspiring. The next generation to. Think outside the box into not give up and he was you know was somebody who didn't. He got knocked down and he got right back up he didn't give up in his dream. And I think the message about. Not Listening to the Naysayers, not listening to the people who would who would hold you back or knock you down I think I think for me in terms of animated movies I think that's got waltz fingerprints all over it. Lisa. So I was really torn on this winter you between wanting to watch you know one of the older movies that yet that he had handed and maybe getting some. Inside Information. On making during the the viewing and and showing in something newer and so I think I kind of set out set on happy ground happy middle ground and went to something that I talk about a lot. It doesn't get a lot of love. It's one of my favorite Disney movies but live action.

"Same order, Ladies First? Okay. So I have a couple of thoughts on. Him To the club. He can already get in. It's fine. Now I will tell you that yes, the club hit my brain for a moment just he he had this great. This counter service please we don't do. But then I went somewhere else for a second but it's not for the reason you think. So just bear with me go with me work with me here. I went to the chef's table at Vienna. Not for the food, but because it takes about six and a half hours to eat the meal. So that would at least give me six hours or so to be with them, but then I got the right answer. And for me. Again going back to Disneyland. I. IT would have to be a waterside seat at the Blue Bayou. hands down, and the reason is it has such a a personal tie for me Walt Disney I I never had my grandparents. I never got to really get to know a grandfather. So Walt became that in my eyes with the wonderful world of Disney and my exposure to him. So he was like the grandfather I wish I had had when I really didn't have one. So when my father took me to the blue by you on my first visit to Zealand advert, we had a waterside seed at the blue by you. So I would love to have that connection to somebody I. respect so much and the thoughts of my first visit there with my father and have this wonderful meal. Under what seems like is a starry night new. Orleans. When clearly that's not the case. But Something familiar the food that he loved and enjoyed he was so much into nor leans. in being able to kind of share the memories of my first visit there with my father when I was seven. To talk to him about how his legacy I keep going back to that word. But this thing he created for his little girls and his hope that families could enjoy each other together in the park. Definitely resonated with me and became my life because of that he created so I would love to have that conversation with. Whatever I can get off the menu if I could make it stretch out for six hours. So be it but that's where I think I'd like to go. So I'M NOT GONNA I'm not cutting in, but I will say, Becky, it's the first thing that jumped to my mind. Blue, by you was was. Very quickly what I put down again for love the reasons, the connection to Walton pirates of the Caribbean the the ambience inside the fact that it opened just a few months after he died in March. Dependent. In December obviously, you know that that plane had already been flight but I will tell you it's not what ended up coming up with SIL teaser for after that no I would not. Dare seven after. You I'm literally meeting Becky. All right. least go ahead before becky steals it. So I'll say, as a prelude that like you do I talked, what is questions at the dinner table tonight and my Seven, year old. said that Mommy you should take him to blizzard because Mr Walt deserves a Swedish fish so and. So that was that was Tyson's. Tyson's take on his. Am Blizzard would not be a bad choice by the way I. Mean Kantha Allergies. Because Mr well-deserved speech. Which I agree with wholeheartedly. And No. So I kind of migrated around property on this question and without naming names I'd I did sort of gloss by a couple of locations where he could. Newer locations where he could perhaps look down on what he created or inspired, stop it on all the arguments. But. No I where I landed was actually somewhere kind of unique. There is a lovely Special experience that you can have an animal kingdom. that I hope will come back soon if it's not there originally called Savor the Savannah. Where they take you out any private safari tour with a very limited number of people I'm you get a very up close and personal? Experience with the the animals in the cast members who work with them. And then you go to that. Extraordinarily lookout point. Look in one direction. You can see the elephants and you look in the other direction you can see the the lions and you have sort of a top style meal with wine and other drinks. And it wasn't up needless to say in for most of us. I. Think it's not. It wasn't about the food I just wanted to sort of be up there with him and be like, look what you inspired like. It's this most it's the most incredible vantage point in the world. It's preceded by this wonderful, very private safari tour that through this. this far. And then you end up at this point you are. You're look in one direction. You see the elephants in the accuracy, the lions, and there's this lovely spread of food and drink in front of you. But to be able to kind of it's and it's scheduled such that you're doing it during sunset. And justice sort of look out on that with him like I said, a lot of my answers were sort of animal kingdom. Geared for this reason because I feel like he so directly inspired it but at the same time like so much maybe wouldn't have seen it coming. To be able to just look out on the field of like elephants, lions and the score just or just savannah in front of him, and just show him sort of what he what came to be because of his legacy would be pretty amazing. So Yeah Savo Savannah. Good one I dig yes Jason. Boy. Like. The restaurant you went with your dad. Romantic lovely experience the middle of chucky cheese off your list of something fast. Yes golden corral. I was so afraid that Lisa was going to say this and I'm glad. It's down right here. Dresser was fantastic but I went in a completely different direction and I'm taking him to whispering, Canyon. And it is not weighing mine for a second. I'll tell you this. This is the first thing that popped in my head and I was like what Jason why are you saying whispering Kenyan what is wrong with you and then the more I thought about it the more I thought no, this makes sense because number one I could walk corn bread number one while core. That's the thing. So so I checked checked against my gut I, went to the picture. I'd taken from the Disney Family Museum of the little. The little note that his housekeeper gave somebody says like these are the foods that Walmart likes. Ticking down the list like we can get like half of these things, Spring Kanye something similar plus I thought he would. So there's going to be food that he's going to actually eat which is great because I don't think he's going to give them your safari stuff but love the view I'm sure and then. He's then he's going to get such a kick out of seeing this very pre covid or very postcode, but he's going to get a kick out of seeing the kids running around the the the the the whole, the guys the father's getting up and doing I'm a little teapot and and the catch up thing he's GonNa. Love that. Says,.

"It became that. I think he needs to see country jamboree because it literally was walt last laugh and seeing Mark Davis drawings come to life in a show that has pretty much not changed very much since it. debuted at Walt Disneyworld He would probably love to see what you know what that design ended up coming. So we've pretty much named almost every attraction in every park worldwide, which is good. So we're going to take them to a lot of different places but I also. Want to know. You know it's not just the attractions that you get into a ride vehicle. It is the shows right I. think there's been so many incredible shows on land on over in underwater up in the skies as well throughout all the parks. What show would you take walt to see and why Becky and you have this grin on your face like Jello I know you and I are going to say the same thing I. Hope we're not GonNa say the same thing if you went went this this path and we're in trouble because. I don't want to always think like you. It's a scary thing. I I struggled with this. There were four or five answers, but it kept narrowing me right back down to one and it's Disneyland's version of fantastic. was was the place that I argued in my head and came back to because. For those who haven't seen Disneyland's fantastic you have to see it is it is the same storyline but told in such a unique awesome in-your-face way and. I think that how the lagoon is transformed from the daytime Nice and calm environment to this story right before your eyes encompassing. So many the elements of imagination of the Ip that he knew the Ip that he would learn about So much of his legacy is just Weaved through the entire show it's exciting it's got pyro it's got music. It's got lights characters. It's it's got the the up and up ups and downs of a typical story line. I think that that's the place that I would want to take him I the current version of the show or current version. Yeah. I. Do I, I know that the other one definitely was impactful but I think now. I Call Peter Pan, and can. Yeah. I know, but they did so much more with it with the lighting and the effects I. Think it's a nice twist the current pirate teaming and and plus men that when that ship comes around the corner and you hear that Canon in the lights go on it. It is so startling and so exhilarating to see that I think that it's just masterful storytelling again. I love the way I described that because I'm looking at Jason, he's nodding the whole time because that's the exact same way he described it to me because I hadn't seen it until the three of us me Jason Carlos went out to California to Disneyland like three or four months ago when all this was starting, but it was just the he was giddy about it. I couldn't put the pieces together like it can't be that much different than the world version ended drastically is and I intentionally didn't watch any videos as like you guys were saying about Phantom manner and it really is just as Becky. Describe it. It's it's a very, very different and unique experience that is not like anything we have at Disney world I didn't believe him and now he's not in his head and probably saying I told just one of the things I love about it is he can feel like you can reach out and touch it where in well disneyworld east feel like you're so far set back from it that you get to see it as more of a spectator where I like those those types of experiences where you feel like you're right there and and I think that's one way that Disneyland his kind of. took it up a notch will thing I think would be so great for him to see about fantastic is is this that? Finale. When all the characters are out on the boat I never. that. I would love for him to see that how These characters are still celebrated and loved by by everyone and that would be that would be amazing. You're decades. Awesome steamboat. Willie Mickey. Starting with him, going through Cinderella and Snow White and it all the way to the current characters I think that that is incredible. Lisa what's yours? So becky I love you both for going out of Wada's neuron many of your answers overlapping very much also forgiving that answer because that was my number two. We saw the soft opening of that at twenty three. Not The last twenty three but the one before It, blew my mind I've talked about it ever since. So this is a tough one because I have a lot of like favorite shows at Disney. But none of them like we're the ones that aren't necessarily wanted to take can too, I. And I think like as shows go and hopefully you'll agree if this qualifies as a show. At which is heading to main street. USA in the Magic Kingdom and kind of hitting Casey's corner and just watching the piano player. Oh Gym. Yeah maybe. Maybe. The the Dapper Dans ago by maybe the the dance go by but yeah. I. Like Chile cases. Have corn dog or dog, and just watch the piano. The pianist does have that moment overlooking castle. and again like the it's like, Mike quote unquote favorite shows at Walt. Disney. Roller mostly the animal keenum probably like most people that wasn't really wanted to go with him I wanted to like hit the hub and and have that moment with Casey's. Well I'm so glad that you had that moment there because I was afraid that you or BEC expert taught Becky was going to take my answer and you're answering Becky your answer was great Fantasma Love Disneyland. But the obvious right answer to this. is also in California. It's world of Color Vicky. Proud. That me only right answer and only radio and not watch that without weeping every time. It's it's like, thank goodness you're getting wet the. took the constantly because you can't tell the difference in the you know when there's water on your face between water in tears it is so good the F-. The technology, let's just get that up. Wait I the technology what is like twelve hundred fountains or something like that, and they're like just perfectly choreographed. The. The sermon brothers like the? I mean, you can't watch that just even just the beginning of that show without feeling like waltz spirit being channeled through the show and into you and. I. And I had the I had. I had the great honor of having Carlos and Collins the it for the first time I think what your first time was your first. An so much fun you don't even. WanNa. Watch the show you WANNA watch you watch the reaction to it I- door that Chai think that he would be again. I think it would be one of these things where you seek in. pecan just be wild by the technology. But also be honored now I'm using Lisa's categories he can be honored by. The celebration of these things that he created and be able to see that they're still they're still loved.

"This happy place. While couple. Disney land is your land. Here Age relives fond memories of the past. And here, you may save the challenge and promise of the. Future. Disneyland. Is dedicated to the ideals the dreams and the hard facts that have created America. With the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. Today. I WANNA share with you some of our ideas for Disneyworld. the prologue to this film. Told you some of the philosophy that may Disneyland, in California what it is today? Cars there will be another amusement theme park in Florida similar to the one in. California. We're now developing master plan that encompasses the theme park and all the facilities around it that was served the tourist. Hotels Motels in a variety of recreation activities. In fact, just this little area loan is five times the size of Disneyland in California. Everything in this room may change time and time again as we moved ahead. Let the basic philosophy of what we're planning for Disneyworld is going to remain very much new. Right now. Either July fourth weekend I got to thinking which is scary I know about the fourth of July and America and Yes Walt Disney. We all know what's up Patriot walt was he loved America and the posts about Seeing the flag-waving in his eyes and red white and blue up his spine and and I was thinking a lot about him I over the years we have all posed or have been asked questions like, what do you think what would think of x or what would you ask walt and I tell you from a personal level I cannot nor would I ever attempt to answer that I think I am woefully unqualified for many many reasons not the least of which obviously I've never met walt yet. But in thinking about Walt, which actually do relatively often a a show idea was born because I think that given the extraordinary and really unlikely possibility of ever having the opportunity to speak with waltz in in this in this world. I think there's definitely more than one thing that I am a lot of us would ask him. And more importantly, maybe even show him. So I present to you the one with waltz and what I what I. Mean by the one, I'm going to pose a series of questions about the one. For example, what would be the one attraction you would show him. It would be the one place that you take him and I want to also see how you think walt might feel about a couple of other topics as well and of course, I can't do this alone, which is why I want you the listener to join along in this conversation and. Share your answers on our facebook group www dot com slash community and or the voicemail at four, seven, nine, hundred, nine, thousand, nine one. But also like the avengers I have assembled a team of Earth's mightiest heroes or in my case friends and colleagues in the Disney space of the WWe nation and momentum attendees and speakers who at least knew Walt Disney was can hopefully come up with some semblance of a coherent answer on this subject with. Little research done ahead of so I want to introduce some friends some who you've heard before. Some might be new to the show, and of course I believe in ladies first without further ado love to welcome back Becky Meghan from every I in. Bass. Van. Travel. Will highly when I hope you aren't expecting me to stick to just one right. There's no. We'll get to this. This is not a top ten list, but it is the one it is the one. That is for me. I'm going to have you ever heard of top obviously not have you ever heard what am I talked tens but everybody else except me is going to be held to one The next is Lisa, to Notre Glasser from the, castle run DOT com. Hey Guys I intend to slant slip lots of. Sort of. Tend to slip left of examples into my answers and I also have lots of backups in my pocket. Finger is dangling precipitously over the mute button if anybody tries to. A second one, I WANNA welcome back. Jason. CanNot from here with the MAGIC DOT COM. Hello it's great to be here. Fantastic topic I'm really excited about this one and all I ask is that go before Carlos? because. He has a he has a propensity to steal mine well. Spoiler alert not one but two first timers to the show and all part of the after our show that Jason does with Carlos, Silva from Pontoh. ORLANDO. AND PONTA MIAMI DOT COM. Hello everyone. I'm glad honored and delighted to be among such a fine group and no backup is almost like make it here. And finally, longtime friends in the Disney space in former speaker at Momentum Colin Kendall from died four ww dot. com. Lou. It's good to be here everybody thanks for having me on Lou and likely. So I'm probably going to slide a few in here because what's top ten list ray top list if you're not slide sliding a few went along the way. So it's heads though one by definition listen I even gave you these most of these ahead of time 'cause I, really didn't want to put you on the spot I wanted to give you time to think about it. How'd you have the opportunity to ask what these questions are show walt these things because I think we've all been asked or have thought about these questions before and I think we a lot of times we hear. Or you know are part of conversations where you know what you think walt would think of X and I've. Not, specifically mention names but I've I've spoken to people who Knew Walter and worked with Walt. And they to of always been hesitant to speculate because they don't know because I think that was a lot of what you didn't know about Walters. Thinking what was he was planning and you know what he might have been working on next and actually Roy e Disney Walt's nephew said, and he said I'm often asked what what would think a new project and really it's an unfair question and it is and that's why I'm going to save it for the very end. So I want to sort of flip that question around a bit. And it's not about what you would ask him. But more importantly what you would show him had he come back and we have the opportunity serve take walt around and it's more than just the parks and the crews and the company I WANNA. There's a few of the topics that I think we'll sort of get us all thinking about how we might answer what we think won't answer on getting you the listener I want you to think about what are the things that you would show walt again, we're GONNA go from the parks to the movies and maybe a few other. Directions as well. Obviously, there's going to be overlap. I. Think There's a lot of answers that might seem potentially obvious on their on their face. It is not like we're stealing anything that top ten list these are going to be discussion points. But when I first pose this question without sneaking in any of your answers. What was your first thought? So Jason You said you like this topic I honestly thought about this. A long time I'm like is this something that people might potentially be interested in so tell me what you and anybody else who wants to jump in what your first thoughts were when when I propose a topic.
