"Here. We've got the same heat wave that everybody has. And you know what? It goes back to common sense. And that's the whole basis of the campaign that I'm running is we've got to get back to common sense again. Common sense says that running around anywhere you want mask free and then only masking because you step into a school makes no logical sense. We've seen the stress and anxiety levels raise in our kids. Coincidentally enough, we've got a record number of teachers leaving the profession. We've got grades that are suffering. We've got low proficiency rates in reading and math. We've got increased levels of violence in our schools, nearly 15,000 fights this last school year and a record 23 gun incidents. You can't tell me that the stress caused by the school shutdowns and forced mandates is not playing a large role in the negative impacts we're seeing across the board. All right, Steve, we're going to have to leave it there. Steve olam running for the school board in Jefferson county, Kentucky. We appreciate your time and good luck to you, sir. One more thing quickly. Very quickly quickly. The burden is not just on our kids. Our teachers are backed into a corner and we've had plenty of teachers stressing the same difficulties that they're having in the classroom. This mask mandate is hurting our teachers because they're spending time monitoring things other than teaching. They don't like it any more than the parents in the students do. So we're fighting this to help everybody, not just the students, but the teachers and the parents alike. All right, Steve, again, thank you for the call and thanks for weighing in Steve all I'm running for the school district there in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Look, he brings up great points and we've heard these. I mean, violence is off the charts, especially among juveniles. And you've got teachers who can't do any teaching because they're too busy monitoring and playing a school nurse. 8 four four 747 88 68, that's our toll free telephone number that's 8 four four 747 88 68. But listen, I have been very involved in politics more than 35 years. I put signs out for the bushes that change. And I worked so hard for them for the Republicans and I got so mad at every time they voted for anything because John McCain, John Boehner and some of the Republicans came out and said, why are they couldn't do what we wanted them to do? They had to lean and crap. Democrats that they wanted. I got so mad. Then I realized when Trump got there, he had exposed them. They were the bushes and all of that group were not looking at for America first. And I do not appreciate it, and I haven't called Washington quite often, and it expressed my opinions. I think the ones that are really working hard for America first. So I would never, ever vote, I like my pants, but I will never vote for him because he's got the bushes and the never Trump was right behind him. So I would never vote for him ever again. I'll talk to you. I'll take it a step further. I don't think Mike Pence knows how to fight. I think he represents he represents the old school Republican Party the pre Trump party that capitulates. He just wants to get along, and all you have to do is go back to 2015. Mike Pence, when he was governor of Indiana. He signed the religious freedom restoration act. But then all you know what broke out, and you know how it goes, you've got these radical, you've got these radical gay rights people, they declared war on Mike Pence and what did he do? He capitulated. He rescinded it. And infuriated the evangelicals to the point that the reason why Trump picked him was to save him from being defeated in his reelection bid. I mean, this was a horrible thing back in the day. So you've got Mike Pence who has a history of backing down in the face of adversity, you have him out there in 2020 and 2021 saying we're going to fight, fight, fight, and then when it came time to fight what did he do? Hey surrender, just like he has always done like all of the Republicans in the swamp. That's it. We just did not realize this until Trump exposed all of them. And that's why they hate them. They hate him. And we love him because we know now he was standing for us hardworking, Americans. My late husband and I made me a stack of pastors. Dear Vietnam War. For America. And now they're trying to destroy what we love and I do not appreciate it at all..

"Susan Anton got on our radar when she started a famous commercial. When I decided to go into the small cigar business. I didn't want to be second best. That's why Muriel and tips drive been my so easy. Do you remember that commercial? I I I do not. Well, it's I mean, we were young when that came out, but from there with Susan Anton Well, yeah, up because you're old and I'm old. She started on Broadway. She had her own TV variety show pretty much everywhere, Tony, you know On. Did I say Broadway? I meant Broadway. But you said Tony so, yeah. So well in critics and audiences alike, And now there is a new show called Idle Chat. Susan Anton. Good morning. Good morning, you guys. How's everything in San Diego? It's good. Does that little jingle take you back? Oh, my gosh. Sure does came back to the beginning. And, um, yeah, you were kids, you know? Okay, you know, Oh, my gosh. You know, it's so weird When I look back at things like doing idle chat, obviously bringing back all of these clips for the people that I was talking to, but some of my own as well. It's like Sometimes I go like was, I don't even remember that. You know, it's your life gets so full with so many things. It's hard to keep it all straight. You know, that's it's funny that you said that because I was just talking to somebody When I was working in l. A. Um, as a TV reporter, I played myself in a bunch of movies and TV shows like Maybe maybe 50 or 60. And there are things that I get checks for that. I don't remember shooting that right? Is that weird? I'll get I'll get fan mail and there will be photographed that they asked me to sign and I look at it go. When did I do that? How did I? Why am I with Jimmy Stewart happens, Uh, when I remember that, Yeah, It's so strange. The stuff that we that we kind of remember, don't remember. Kind of remember differently. Yeah, that's true. So tell us tell us a little bit about idle chat. What exactly is it? Well, Madonna is so great there. The producers came up with this. I think wonderful idea. You know, Nostalgia is very big. We've got such a fast paced world. Now you guys know you deal with news all the time. And so I think people are hungry to kind of go back to a little bit of a simpler time. And so this is a reunion show of all of these iconic cats and music acts and TV and movie cats as well of programs and songs. And all of that, that we have all grown up with are either know about even if we're a little bit younger than some of us. You know that we're we know, you know, E t the extra terrestrial movie, which was a game changer. Of course. Everybody knows leave it to Beaver or the love boat and the iconic pointer sisters and then the ladies have knots landing and and so we just got everybody together. We did eight episodes at the Hollywood Museum. And and it was so much fun to reunite these iconic calf and they were so excited to see one another. You know their family, But what's interesting is you did the love boat. I did. And so it was like my own little reunion with I was Bernie Couples love interest, Doc. He understand me from some mysterious illness while we were in China. Oh, I'm getting that was a precursor. Oh, I was just I was just thinking that that's weird. Well, now I have to go back and watch it. Susan needed to get Doc on this thing a lot. We should have all called Bernie Kopell when this thing came out Well, no kidding, some mysterious endless in China. It's so funny. I just now realized that that's hysterical. Wow. Now you live. Just you know what? To us. It's just right up the road in Las Vegas. What are your favorite things to do there? You know nothing. That is a Las Vegas kind of thing. We have this in these beautiful Red Rock mountains. I'm a big hiker and a walker also golf and all the kind of the things that people do in a regular life. It's like the last thing I do is go down to the strip, even though it's magnificent, and we're thrilled to have you know, like are the Raiders now and then are wonderful hockey team, The Golden Knights. It's all very exciting. But I prefer to just prefer to stay home here in the summer land and, you know, hang out with my husband and walk the dog. You know, I think that's where I lived in San Antonio for years, and I never went to the river walk. I mean, it's just you kind of get into. You know, the tourist things are nice. And you take people there when they're in town. But when you're in your own, you know when you're in your own city like that, you just kind of live your own life. And you just kind of your right. You just kind of stay away from that, exactly, you know, And we, my husband, Jeff, Lester and I we build opened up our Production studio about 24 years ago. So we're also really busy with a lot of production commercials and documentaries and short films and things like that, So I've been able to get behind the camera and produce as well. So that's been another wonderful addition to my life. Well, the new TV series is called Idle Chat. It premieres this Sunday, September 12th, and I believe the first episode, isn't it? Leave it to Beaver. Did you say that it is leave it to Beaver and I got to talk to my You know my childhood crush, Tony doubt Wally Cleaver. And I'm Jerry Mathers. I mean, they were both fantastic. No, we can't wait to see them looking forward to it. Thank you. Susan. Come back on the show anytime. Thank you. Thank you. You guys have a great day. Have a good one. All right, Well, we're going to switch gears here. He lost his dad. You know, during 9 11, and he almost lost himself to drugs. We talked to Matthew Bochy live at 6 41..
