"Your morning everybody. Dj envy angela. Gisha guy we oughta breakfast club getting some front page news where we start well. Let's start with robert. Aaron long the twenty one year old. Who's been charged with killing eight people in atlanta. Six of them are women of asian descent. Now the georgia sheriff's captain as said this about what was going on with robert. Aaron long who investigators interviewed him this morning and i got that impression that yes he he understood the gravity of it and he was pretty much fed up. Have been going at the end of his rope and It was a really bad day for him and this is what he did not going to go. I don't know if he was remorseful on on so basically people are upset that he said he was just having a really bad day. And that's why he did that. It of belittled what actually happened. People were killed. What else what else. Craig convents well. Yeah that's what he said about. You know they just. He had a bad day way. Worse than having a bad day of captain baker. Okay dude and his bad day. I hate how to media. Spins things for white people at what point are white people in these positions of power going hold their own accountable and call them what they are the same thing with the capital rate on january six. That guy robert long is a domestic terrorist. A member of isis and police always find a way to take these guys than peacefully and making excuses for their behavior. How do we not see. I'm so we all see this bias at this point so obvious to everyone isn't it okay is making sure what do we know about this gentleman. Anything denise now what they are saying is that robert aaron long had a sex addiction. And that's why he attacked these people. They're saying that it was not ethnicity that came into play and it wasn't anti-asian violence necessarily but they're still investigating by the way sexist la hate crime category under georgia's new law so if he was targeting women out of hatred for them were blaming them for his own problems. It could still potentially be a hate crime. It doesn't have to be racially motivated. To constitute a hate crime enjoyed. It could be because they're women but it just so hard to make excuses for this guy that the excuses don't even make no sense a sex addiction. So i'm i'm attracted to use. I'm going to kill you wanting to have sex after his arrest by long told investigators he believed he had sex edition sex addiction and an issue with porn and he saw spies as temptation that he wanted to eliminate once again. I said this yesterday eliminate yourself i. You know what. I'm saying whenever you feel like you wanna hurt a bunch of people because there's something going out to you you the problem. You're it yourself all all it all of those those. The people extol external issues. Have nothing to do with. You is all internal guarantee yourself. You want to eliminate somebody told investigators. He was headed to florida and was planning to do more there as well. Komo family gear mental problems. I'm sure i'm sure. Yeah mental problems watch porn and he seen some on a porn site that he thought was was bad for many eliminate eliminating all seemed like he had meant to promise you find that he didn't take his medicine as some it. I'm sure did but guess what there's no turning back from this eight people are dead so you have to deal with the consequences of your actions all right actually long family that saw images of him after the first shooting at one of the first buys fe contacted authorities and helped identify him so they said the family members are very distraught. But they were very helpful in this apprehension. You can treat him for all his mental health issues in prison. Okay spend time in rehab for sexual addiction last year. According according to a former roommate the roommate spoke on condition of anonymity he said he live with long for several months and summer of two thousand twenty at a transition house for people exiting rehab. Just not because robert long but sexual addiction makes you kill people. Thought sexual addiction dismayed made. You wanna have sex. All the time and cheat that was going to massage parlours. He was going there explicitly to engage in sex acts according to reports and a according to what he had been saying he had relapsed Going back again after rehab just amazing how did police academy of bigger can just stand up and say well. He had a bad day g come you just make exceptions. They reach so hard to make excuses for these sick white people instead of just holding them accountable and calling it what it is. It's domestic terrorism. Eight people were gunned down on our soil by this guy like come on terrorism. Yes it is and that is your front page news. Get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five one zero five one. If you need event hit us up right now for lonzo wide open. It's the breakfast club. Good morning the breakfast club. Opt waco test your blank. We want to hear from you on the breakfast. Hello who's this man. What's up short joining. What's going on. You guys forgot a couple of really. I wanted to get out this season on. Cj jelly guys forgotten missing which is a lot of big deejays. They mix as but there were no dj's bigoted drama house guys can have. I'm beginning after. Dj's these people have been saying so. I i'm i'm realistic. Clue drama with no bigger. Thank you sir. Why they gotta be alive. Man you got to point that out hotel not let me tell you i let me tell you why captain j baker who is the captain. Baker made anti asian comments on his facebook page. So it's not a coincidence that this white boy kill six asian people and this dude's making excuses for whenever it's a black person they demonize victim think about how they talks about. Michael brown not keep going. No man i'm always state. The obvious ariz are just like you. Call the pan. You stated the obvious. Dj montaigne being great. Dj's state the obvious to making excuses for these white people. Instead of holding them accountable. Lincoln sir what's what's up guys name man. I'm jordan while join just called a second ago back off your chest. Give me give six in a row at least three people. What's up brown charlotte man. I love you bro. The breakfast club has gotten some dark times. Just wanted to say that maybe you you might wanna white guy perspective on the issue at hand. I'm pretty fired up about it bro. I don't like the cop said he's having a bad day. I think that that. Just there's a divide in our country. And i think he's been come out and say this is wrong. Here's why it's wrong. Everyone knows it's wrong. And i will not answer this and it really pisses me off. Well you know he. He will never do that because he made anti asian comments on on his facebook page. Before rejoining gonna tell you how god works. There was another jordan who called previously before you think he was white he was not exact opposite of you and you have restored my faith. White people just fat. I think the other black you know you think some black. He was white on them. So i'm glad jordan title for today. Take that title. Proudly u r v jordan. Sir my goodness thank you. Charlemagne enjoy guys. All right was right and wrong at the end of the day. You know what i'm saying. And i don't see how people don't see the wrong in what captain bay is definitely wrong and it was horrible. Would that would that officer said get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight.

The first easy to put emerged day on cd platinum album. Latin him numerous times production and what he's been able to do with that mix tape it is is like no other was at a time when there was no social media but when it comes to that brand that tape there was in my opinion nothing bigger than that gangsta grill. We're talking all about obsolete concept Addiction which i never really heard of thought about intel deduct. Heidi hearing a little bit about your take on that. A doctor dr gary. Thanks for coming in and play. Just give us a little bit about crown about who you are. And what got you into doing. Worker in the world around stress neighboring. Yeah well first of all. Thanks for having me. I love that used the word stoked because it's one of my favorite words. We were just talking a little bit before we went on about our backgrounds and where we come from and i actually grew up in portland oregon which i love. I love the pacific northwest. Still feels like home. But i always full actually it with affective disorder pat a lot of anxiety and depression growing up and felt like i needed to live in a sunny. Climate ironically ended up getting rights. Our shift to play softball penn state which was not much better than i moved to orlando for ten years thinking that would give me some sunshine and it really just gives me a lot of like under storms and eventually made my way to san diego and one of the things that i have been doing for the past few years with reef which is a global beach brand looking the benefits of the beach on our brain health and performance. So anytime i hear someone say you can see me. I know people are just listening to this. But i've got my relief hat and it's at palm trees and i just i really feel like we can benefit from taking our brain to the beach even when our bodies stuck at home are second office and there's some strategies you can talk about a little bit later about how Do that so. I'm background my history really. I got into this. Because i had to to survive. I was i was misdiagnosed. Has a child A lot so around the age of ten started having debilitating headaches and stomach aches and panic attacks and panic. Attacks were so extreme. I would actually faint and lose consciousness so my parents you know not knowing what to do about it to say misdiagnosed me with things like kimia food allergies kind of like throwing darts on a dartboard and ultimately they said you know probably just stress so hard. Remember like okay. I'm ten eleven. Twelve how How bad could stress be. Why is it literally like hijacking my brain and the most inconvenient circumstances like on flights on first dates on job interview so i am a life journey. Like trying to figure out how to help myself. Just get through the day and became fascinated with these different topics. So it started. I got a master's degree in psychology. And i wanted to become a therapist. So it's working with a lot of people struggling with different things and just saw. How much nutrition was playing a role in their mental health. So then i got my first in holistic nutrition looking at the different ways that behavior mood and things and then always do not. I got certified and different fitness strategies exercise physiology and then i ended up working for this really awesome company called the human performance institute and it worked for them for ten years where we worked with professional athletes and executives really helping them understand energy management like their physical emotional mental spiritual energy and that was amazing. Except i do. I feared the most every day which was public speaking and flying so i was traveling all around the world kind of teaching people what to do but the not coping well with my own stress and wallo. That was happening. I had my third emperor diagnosed with alzheimer's disease. And i started looking the research about the brain and the nervous system and realized that the number one risk factor for cognitive decline in dementia was actually chronic stress. Live off of wait a second. I'm living with chronic stress. And i know this. Why am i acting us way. And that's actually one of the reasons. I wrote the book stress a holic and started looking at stress addiction was. I know this is good for me by yet. I kinda don't wanna stop. And then the more started talking about that book to my clients. They would all say. Oh my. gosh that's me. i'm addicted distress. But the funny up part and we can. Then they'd say well. But i don't want you to take it away from

"And whatnot. Being impartial and all that kind of Shit I think things are going to change to a certain degree. Is there anything that you think is a guy who's been through the system? Do think it's going to get better with I was just talking about the broken window policies stop on. Do you think that that's going to get better. I'm hoping that it's going to be something where we treat these I think one of the biggest bandaids that we can give you. You're not would be if we treat these instances like terrorist operations you know when something's considered a terrorist operation, all rules out the window. They can put a finger up. Your s online in fucking grocery store. They think you're a terrorist. If something like this happens, which is deemed a person in a higher power using it for a racist injustice, the treat it like a terrorist, and we can move through faster and maybe. Maybe quell some of the stuff that had happened since then and show people that were actively trying to do something against it. I think that might happen this time. I think they'll be legislation. Put in place in the more than I'm reading. The more I'm seeing. Intelligent people are putting together the right types of plans. You see some sort of change coming on this this time. While a kin, it can if Velocities shift I being pussies. In all you know, and they stop you know. A lot of these unions backs these mayors, the police union I mean. So you got you gotTA. You gotTA think about it. They stop being pussy to stop being scared because it's like the police were on the town. Some salvages in a city a meeting last night with most of the heads of the city last night. You know trying to figure this out you know. What is there a eight trying to talk you know? They went us our opinion. Because we I'm on Grail I don't know about anybody else, but. I'm GonNa Grant I. Mean I've been out there reporting from right there and missile. Street would have breaking shut up. I was A. But but but you know talking to the people trying to get the pulse and understand you know. You know you all. Did you know you see in the people you? You know? I've been engaged in trying to see was. But like it's so much of a disconnect and people is like nobody even thought the even think about this, and now it's like Oh shit this shit. We gotta deal with Nell Arts. We didn't even think he's had a problem. Everything was cool. It was me, so now is I I. It took more focused on the Dan. These people react like this. So now, everybody WanNa. Talk and try to figure it out. I think they knew that problem. I think they thought they couldn't effectively police without being fucking a little bit crazy, and there is no way to be a little bit crazy like to be a little bit, but a little bit like. Hey, this is going on like you know. You have to have your head on the swivel if you're in the Bronx at night like walking back. Back to my car, Willy and that rat jumped out on me I was quick to react. Because I knew that it was going to happen, so I think it's at a point like people were like. Where do we take the power out of the police's hands? Right and and people were so afraid to do that until so many bad racist. A horrendous decisions have been made so hopefully. This is the one I spoke to these gentlemen. Couple of months ago, saying that rioting and looting was going to happen in Corona virus because we're a powder keg already I. Don't know how strict you've been on quarantine while or not, but it just seemed like now. The unemployment checks is starting to run out I was saying. Let's get ourselves in a situation where we're ready for this shift to happen. It's unfortunately it's unfortunately this was the match that. That lit the powder keg to a certain degree, but I felt like this was inevitable. I also think that this is going to be the biggest wakeup. Call that our country has had since since I know what I think. This is GonNa be a big, because it's getting a lot of fucking is, and it's happening in time with people already on full alert. You know it was crazy. It is going. A lot of people is not going to be self no more. meaning. You have a lot of people like in this. You know you see I see it already man you know a lot of people like their the way they see black people. GonNa. Is GonNa. Go. Overboard and let people know I'm not a racist. I'm not I'M NOT WANNA. Do you say I WANNA? Do like people will do what you you might go. Hey. I don't people might change because people so nobody would tag on a man. People were scared to death. I'm seeing this. GOING IS I might be in stopping the car they wave. Star! Pie! It like I just want to live a regular life like everybody else. And when you walk into court with new, fully stop when the same treatment as he stopped with some different nationality. That's all is about me in A. Is Simple Shit the south point. Your fucking hands with somebody yoga got ninety. You still want to beat them all fucking day, but but but it's the whole thing like I see. You get away with it, man. Would! What's GonNa Happen. You know what I mean so until things. May May still be the case So he might be. You'll be. Faithless money to get us back. So D. is still. You can charge. What do you get thirty degrees? So what's that? What is it nickel? Thirty degrees shit. You don't mean you're not first degree. Second Degree Third Kagan Life. degree. You some saying like. Five years man it depends. FTC to Examine Past Acquisitions by Large Technology Companies

"This week. The Federal Trade Commission demanded that the five biggest tech companies turn over years of information on some of their past acquisitions. Not The big ones like facebook buying instagram. Or even google buying ways. It's navigation competitor. These are the ones that were too small to be reported to anti-trust officials think sub one hundred million bucks the FTC. It seems wants to know. If Tech Company's got to be giant whales by goping down a whole bunch of minnows that might have grown into big competitive fish. If they'd just been left alone in the pond. Diane Bart's covers antitrust for Reuters so at the Federal Trade Commission decided to do is to do a very wonky thing. It's called EXPE- study and so they sent all these orders to the big tech companies. Some of which are being investigated and they asked them about all their transactions that they concluded that were below the level. That normally has an antitrust review. So right now that's about ninety four million dollars and the idea is that they're gonNA maybe in the future be doing a more re- tough review of these smaller acquisitions. Maybe they should lower the threshold of what's reportable to the government as an acquisition nail. So did a little bit of Saber rattling saying you know if we find an anticompetitive acquisition in the hundreds of transactions that. They're expected to be told about you. Know they might go in and try to do an enforcement action. What do you think is the the goal here of this review? The goal is for for them to look at the smaller transactions. And see if there's a transaction that is in a competitive and I think what they're what they're saying to themselves is. Is there a company that would have risen up to be the next facebook? The next Google but it didn't didn't happen because it got bought by facebook or got bought by Google. Wallo is still a tiny tiny tiny company. I think they're looking to see if these acquisitions of smaller companies are reducing dynamism in Silicon Valley. What is the threshold now for a deal an acquisition that does have to be reported to the FTC? And where do you think that could land right? Now it's About Ninety four million. And you know just. The fact that there's an antitrust review doesn't mean the deal isn't going to happen because you know something like ninety eight percent of reviews are done in thirty days fine no problem and then maybe one or two percent something like that. They get what's called the second request? Which means they have to follow a lot of documents and then at the end most of them go forward maybe they have to divest something you know and then a very tiny percentage one or the other agencies will go to court and say you know I want. This stopped Diane. Bart's covers antitrust for Reuters. The company the FTC has asked for information are alphabet Amazon Apple facebook and for the first time in the current antitrust investigation landscape Microsoft. A company that sadly is probably well prepared for what might come

"And then after that he's gonna preview some free training he's doing with some very. Some other very well respected security people in New York. That will be coming up soon. So yeah, it's a big round up with Stephen coming up off to the news speaking of which let's get into it. Now, a look back on the Security News without good friend. Adam wallo and Adam. We got two stories this week leading leading the wakes news that really should be taken together. The first story deals with Facebook's follow up, comes around these these huge incident where tens of millions of accounts had their access tokens stolen. Yeah, they reporting matured a little bit of information's, come out of Facebook's investigations. It looks like they've managed through and down the process by which the attack was prosecuted. And they found like initial kind of test case of four hundred thousand uses. Then a couple of big runs against kind of fourteen fifty million age. And then a final round about one million with differing degrees of Dada liberated in each of those. Are you have phone The phone lumber. lumber about thirty million people who've been affected by the by the the breach, the had now, what sort of data with actually extracting he because the stuff that I saw was that were pulling down people's ten lost searches, and now I'm seeing reports of location daughter. Is that right? Yeah. So one of the runs of like fifteen million. It appears that included things like locations where people had checked in from the loss team location that checked in in a bunch of the other kind of profile information. You know, Janice location, relationship status, all those kinds of things that people had shared. Whereas some of the other ones included recent search histories, that kind of thing. So it has kind of varied depending on where you were in the process of the attack is kind of whip and the lost millions are. They didn't get much guess that's about with I got snapped. Now this story nights that the f. b. i. has asked Facebook not to mention who is behind these attackers, but let's switch to our second story this week, Adam, which was published the day before this, this release of information. Facebook just happen to suspend our hall bunch of accounts linked to a Russian firm that describes itself as similar to as being similar. To Cambridge Analytica gee, what a coincidence. Yeah, the company social data hub, apparently they provided some kind of Lincoln scraping as a service of four, the Russian market, or they claim that they scraped rod, rushing uses of Facebook along with a bunch of the other kind of Russian indigenous social networks, e contacting that kind of thing. Yeah, apparently had a bunch of air counts canned, and then Facebook sent them cease and desist litter telling them to stop scraping Facebook's Dada and the stop sign that they were scrapping Facebook starter company in question as a bunch of kind of excuses like that. They do education for students about how to use social media and those students was grape ING it than standard. They might seem to seem like a very Russian way to handle that situation. You know, taking a leaf out of the government's book there, but come on, let's connect these dots. I'd be. I'd be amazed if Facebook building this particular organization off the platform had nothing to do with the other story. I mean, it seems pretty clear that what we're talking about here. Russian organization that has been that was behind this attack year. I think putting the stories together is praised -able including the timing certainly lines up the the nature of the process certainly seems believable as funny Facebook saying, no, of course we won't talk about it by the way. Here's a press release about content. Skype is that we've just kicked off the network. I mean, that's off the platform. It's perfect, right? Yeah, it is. And of course it minutes entirely possible that it was somebody else, right? And they have been looking at doing this kind of thing and stumbled across them Botnia it does lineup, rather neatly, doesn't it? Here's an interesting one, not strictly related to sort of information security or cyber security, but often the DOJ will indict foreign actors involved in operations. And people always say, well, what's the point of that? They never going to get the hands on them..
