"Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while that you shouldn't have messed with. That's my and you can call them at 877-381-3811. Gavin Newsom has helped to destroy the once great state of California. He is actually a very stupid man. Stop puts Greece in his hair. You think Adam Schiff is a pencil neck as rush used to come. I think Newsom wins that by at least four inches. But let me show you what a coward and fraud this man is. An ABC News thinks this is so important, it's his second top news story on its site. California governor Gavin Newsom announced today the state will not be doing business with Walgreens Boots Alliance over its decision not to dispense an abortion pill. Last week the national pharmacy chain said it would not distribute my prostate in 20 states after conservative attorneys general threatened legal action. And a tweet Newsom criticized decision writing California won't be doing business with Walgreens. Or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women's lives at risk were done. speaks. That is how a full speaks. They're not going to sell these pills. That doesn't mean women in California can't get abortions. But this company is taking a neutral position on the issue. It's not taking a position on abortion. It sang we're not selling these pills. We're not getting involved in this. But for Gavin Newsom, apparently every would be childbearing woman. Is at risk. Putting women's lives at risk. You know, it's interesting. One statistic that's never made available. At least not in a very significant way. So that we could all just say it off the tip of our tongues. It's how many women actually are denied abortions. And then die. Do we know that number, mister producer? Is it even a statistic they keep? Because it's a line that people like Gavin Newsom use all the time. Gavin Newsom, who cheated on his wife, and I'm not talking about Kimberly. With the wife of his chief of staff, I believe. It's a man of great moral fortitude. Standing for women, of course. Now what does this do to the people of California? I mean, maybe Walgreens will say, you know what? We've had it with California. We're going to get the hell out of here. Our stores are robbed, left and right. We can't make any money given the tax rates here in this state. We're going to leave here like everybody else who has two brain cells to rub together is doing. If they can, poor leaving California. This is a guy's busy banning stuff. All right, we're going to ban Walgreens from anyhow. We're going to ban gasoline engines. We're going to shut up you, idiot. You moron. And by the way, as far as fossil fuels go, when you think that grease comes, it put in your hair. What do you think that comes from you, jerk? Comes from petroleum oil. Little dabble, do you dummy? So Walgreens should say thank you and goodbye. Don't worry, there'll be plenty of abortion bills appeals in the state of California. Just like there's going to be plenty of IOUs, plenty of illegal immigrants, plenty of crime, plenty of homeless. Who wants to listen to this jackass? He wants to be president of the United States. Can you imagine? And yet, he'll probably get 70 million votes if he runs. He'd done McRae. He gave it that with the spittle coming down the chain. Then anyway, there you have it. Which was once the greatest state in the nation. And look, I'm not even a Californian. It was the greatest state in the nation. It was the place to go if he wanted to start a business. It was the place to go. If you're an entrepreneur, somebody who loved liberty, it was the Florida of its day. Let me put it to you that way. Taxes were low, regulations were low. The population was booming. People wanted to be in California. They wanted to be there for the weather. They wanted to be there for the scenery. They wanted to be in. Now everybody's had the hell do I get out of here? That's your Democrat party right there. And then they want them to be president Gavin news. Why not? We had Obama who had accomplished absolutely nothing in his life. We have Biden, who's even worse. In terms of accomplishments, the guy shuffles along, bumps his head, can't walk up staff, hey, hey, hey, he's a good guy. And now we have no. Who is a proven, complete disaster? It's the same party that nominated John Kerry for God's sakes. So there's Gavin Newsom. And we're done with the Walgreens. Maybe Walgreens is done with you, you, moron, and this is their one issue. Abortion on demand. The Democrats in Congress voted against saving the lives of babies who survived abortions. I want you to think about that. They're so extreme. And they support abortions that rip babies apart, right up to the end. You heard representative buck talk about this. I've talked about it, but he didn't even get into all the detail. This massive syringe that's stuck into the soft part of the top of the head of the baby, and they suck the brains out. I mean, there's babies being tortured, torn to pieces. And they talk about the woman's life. What are they talking about? The Democrats don't give a crap about anybody except people who they think are going to vote for them. Then they'll put in public policies to redistribute wealth to their supporters. Dove open borders if they think people pouring in one day vote for them and they're trying to make sure they will without voter ID and it's amazing the media. Can you prove to us? That these votes were how can I prove it when all the all the barriers on all the protections have been removed? What do you want me to prove exactly? Well, you said they voted illegal. So they take the ability to prove the ability to gather evidence away, or they enshrine the fraud. And then they said, can you prove it? Can you prove it? I can prove it. Virtually

"Listening to Bloomberg opinion on Bloomberg radio I'm Jim grosso Walgreens is exploring a deal to offload its historic boots business to turn its focus to U.S. healthcare Bloomberg opinion columnist Andrea felstead says the breakup has its benefits but the disposal won't be easy Tell us what the executive chairman of the Walgreens Boots Alliance is planning They are receiving the future of the boots business Now boot is the high street retailer It's a historic business been going to many years It's basically a drug neighborhood drugstores on high street You know it's very well known It's a great brand but it's looking a bit tired It suffered from supermarket going into health and beauty and consumer health and online competition It needs a lot of investment and Walgreens either got to do that or find somebody else to reinvigorate the business You write that this won't be straightforward explain why Well the new owner really needs to do is close quite a number of stores and really reinvigorate what's less So boots already have started doing that It's got about a hundred beauty halls which I went to one a couple of weeks ago in covent garden in London and the ground floor It looks very she a bit like a department store So that's a step in the right direction And it's also really been focusing on health services So it does about a hundred health kind of services online or in shop things like acne treatment period pain relief mental health support all those kinds of things that as we're taking care of our health more the pandemic put a big focus on health boots really stays opportunities there So this will be for a new owner it would be expensive we're talking about 5 billion 7 million pounds Plus the new owner would really have to invest to take on some of this progress that started It's not a straightforward one It's not sort of a typical private equity deal where you come in You take loads of costs out you try to hasn't got a lot of property You say you can't lever up the property You've really got to come in really try and turn it around and hopefully you get sales and profits moving in the right direction So who would be potential buyers It could work for a supermarket All of the supermarkets have too much space inside as grocery shopping moved online and we buy things in convenient stores in our neighborhoods So what somebody could do they could buy booth they could close as many stores as they can which it might not be too straightforward closing stores because some are needed for community pharmacies but you could move some of the boot stores into the supermarket close those high street stores That would give you big cost savings And it would also build credibility for supermarkets in health and beauty which have much bigger margins They're much more profitable than selling ham and bread and cheese Now the other really interesting thing is that both the chief executives of Tesco and Sainsbury spent time in their careers at booth so they know it really well And there's even a sort of a model for this kind of deal which is a few years ago same people are golf which for many years were the catalog retailer You went into the stores You went through the catalog and then you placed your orders in more recent years it's moved online And they did exactly that They bought Argos It closed lots of the stores and they moved the Argos shop in Spain free So that would be the model for doing it Now obviously you've got that community pharmacy angle It's also possible that could be competition concerns because booth has already got Mars very big market shares in some of these consumer health categories So that would be a challenge for any supermarket So you write that the executive chairman is known for playing the long game and it seems like this will be a long game I think we'll see we'll publish the come up for sale in the not too distant future then everybody will run the slide roll over it Some of the private equity group has already has a look at it of the key thing we'll be getting around those difficulties the competition can stand for the supermarket and just how much investment you really have to put in to revive this business But as you say I'm stepping over he built alliance through his business that didn't deal with Walgreens He built many decades and everybody knows him for doing these audacious deals but who would actually very patient his bill each bit of the business when the time was right He needs to take that approach as he's selling things off first and the latest one being go Thanks Andrea That's Andrea felstead opinion columnist with Bloomberg news Let's turn now to hybrid work email and smartphones have blended the work week and weekends for years and the always on work culture has only been exacerbated by the pandemic Some have proposed a four day work week to slow things down and reclaim some balance Bloomberg opinion columnist Conner San has another proposal one he believes is more realistic flex day Friday When did this always on 24/7 work culture begin It probably depends on the industry you're in and maybe a finance worker in the 2000s already had a BlackBerry in which addicted to that But I think a lot.

Amazon Pharmacy Aims To Conquer Another Huge Retail Sector

"Not exactly tack but this news from a major tech company will probably have the biggest lasting impact on the broader business world and our entire society generally than just about anything else. We could talk about this month. Amazon has officially launched amazon pharmacy letting customers in the us order prescription. Medications for home delivery. And if you're a prime member that even includes free delivery quoting cnbc customers over the age of eighteen. We'll have access to the pharmacy service at this week. And forty five states not including hawaii illinois kentucky louisiana and minnesota amazon expects to serve those states over time. Amazon pharmacy will accept most forms of insurance but could offer savings for people without insurance as well. Customers can also use flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts to buy prescriptions on the service before customers order medication. For the first time the site might ask them questions such as whether they're pregnant their date of birth and their gender as it was assigned at birth. That information is required by law to provide pharmacy care and it helps pharmacists. Do things like confirmed prescriptions. Doctors can send prescriptions directly to amazon pharmacy or patients can request transfer from an existing retailer. Like cvs or walgreens amazon says it has tools to verify that a physician legitimately ordered each prescription to tamp down on potential fraud amazon. Prime customers get free two day delivery although shipping might take up to five days the first time a customer orders as it takes time to transfer a medication customers who don't have prime can get free delivery within five days or they can pay five dollars ninety nine cents to two two day delivery. Walgreens Shares Get Booted

"Stock the hour. It's Walgreens Boots Alliance. The stock is falling is announced. It's gonna have to have some layoffs, and he's gonna do some stock buybacks at the same time. Scarlett Fu is here for a full report. Scarlett Yeah, David Walgreens, says the worst performer in the Dow and the NASDAQ 100 losing as much as 10% of its value. Today. The latest earnings report showed a loss for the fiscal third quarter. Net sales were flat and gross margin declined as well. The full year outlook. Came in better or I should say worsen, expected disappointing investors. If you were to look at the vent diagram of where Walgreens fits in. It's basically in the middle between healthcare and retails on the front lines of disruption from Cove it and longer term changes in how consumers behave. So rivals like CVS Health are focusing on health care will has a friend ofthe Amazons pharmacy ambitions. You look at the UK In particular. It contributes the bulk of the pretax profit even though it doesn't come in as much when it comes to revenue and in the UK was where things really fell apart. Traffic plunged 85% April because of the Lock down and that led to a $2 billion charge. David So what about back here in United States? I mean, this was a critical element that we all could go to our drug stores. No matter what, So you think they might have done better here they did to better comparable sales rose 3% as people rushed to stock up on prescriptions. But there's a divergence based on whether it's in the urban market or rule market. We saw urban market sales dropped 18% and in the rule markets sales rose 8% so big big split there. No matter where the stores were located, the Walgreens spent more to clean stores and to pay employees you could see that costs increase and that led to a squeeze in margins for the period. Soto address that, as you mentioned, it's going to suspend stock buy backs. No change was dividend. Walgreens has a pretty juicy dividend yield a 4.9% which is better than CVS. And over in the UK, where foot traffic dropped so much. It's going to cut around 4000 jobs and says retail conditions there will remain pretty depressed. For the rest of the summer.
