So there was nothing they could have done kept keep him I think it was the inevitable move but like I, said, we don't have a crystal ball that knows what was the right move I guess what's up wait find out. She sixteen matches without a win going into the saw the season. It was a mistake to keep him. Then why don't they get rid of him before? Because, it would have been too expensive. The fact is. Real financial trouble right now and letting him run down his contract by a couple more months over the summer. has saved them a little bit of cash and given the fact that Xiaoqiang need to the forty million euro bailout over the summer to help them keep afloat. It tells you how much financial pressure there on the answer that David Wagner. Had No choice, but to bring back plays into the fold such as. Ralph Fam- The goalkeeper who went on loan to Norwich and didn't play last season macoutes at strike. Sebastian. Rudy who who has really not look great. On now being made into key players in the squad and yet last year David Wagner says to these players you're not good enough for me you're going away. You got to be able to really forge some sort of new connection and really hold your hands up and say you know what I got it wrong then and I really need you now and I just didn't see that from the shock because I was at the game on Saturday and the the way that the heads went down on the first goal it was. Quiet that and even when Xiao schooled that constellation goal that was one clap a solid three cloud.

Foods to Help Kids Focus

"Good morning, everyone, and welcome to dishing up nutrition brought to you by nutritional weight and wellness. Currently, kids are back at school already didn't the summer fly by WHO Know Carolina did it summer started in March? Yes Whether. It is full time or part time in person or because of the corona virus this year, maybe your kids have taken over your dining room table threesome champion a little bit more every room. Right whatever way your kids are attending school. This year brings some very much extra challenges for both students and for the parents. So we believe it is even more important to feed your kids foods that will help them focus and learn. Yes. That is so true whether your student is in college or kindergarten food counts when you want them to have good brain power. Well Good morning everyone I am Caroline Hudson and as a Dietitian I am constantly reading and learning about how I can improve my own nutritional counseling skills. So I can help my clam clients both young and, of course, old I. Want them to feel better do better and I understand how food helps build memory and focus in children adults, and of course, even in our seniors joining me today in studio is registered and licensed. Dietitian Theresa Wagner, who is living through this unique back the school journey with her three children ages eleven nine and six and April. Actually it was. Oh Yeah. It was April right TREASA. You wrote that great blog about the challenges as a parent who is trying her best to feed her kids, healthy meals and snacks throughout. Every day right. Beside loved your line in your blog about. Quote Mom Guilt Magnus don't have that out there. I mean moms out there I think everybody's saying. We sure do whether it's about food or anything I. Think we're guilty. or at least we feel that way. Yes but I have been debt registered Dietitian. Let's see here for the past twelve years and I know this because I remember passing the RDA exam when I was very pregnant with my son my first child. So over the years I think I have had. A lot of experience just trying to feed my kids healthy foods. Yeah well, however when The order came to stay at home. What happened I was constantly hearing I'm hungry. What can I have for a snack? It's amazing at how much and how often my kids wanted to eat to be honest at first I was able to manage the situation on how often my kids wanted to eat but I have to admit that after a while I just threw up my hands in food exhaustion exhaustion and just started to say, yes to whatever they wanted to eat. Now remember I'm a Dietitian and food is very important to me. So I wasn't feeling very good about what they were choosing to eat. Yes. In the short term, I found it was easier to just let my kids eat whatever they wanted but I knew that it was not what I wanted for my kids over the long term. and. Just like any parent listening I, want to feed my kids food supports their body and their brain and as reality of this Cova situation set in I realized that we're all in the same position and we could be for many more months. So I came up with three simple insights to motivate myself and hopefully others to make good food choices a bigger priority and again. I'll share some of these insights with you in hopes that they can help you. The one of the first insights I had was. I want to see my kids healthy foods because they build strong bodies, well-functioning brains, and disease resistant immune systems. All very important reasons absolutely Ashley Right now especially right now that immune support immune systems, you have to have a really strong immune system right now, right because if we come in contact with that virus, we want to be able to fight it off or if we get it, we wanna be able to not have horrible symptoms are. Horrible reaction exactly The second insight, poor food choices like processed foods equal. Poor Focus and poor concentration. Frankly, now that I've been forced into a new role as a Teacher's assistant. A role that I'm not super excited about. I don't want learning for my kids to be more difficult for them, which in turn would make my job more difficult. But most importantly, I want learning to be fun exciting meaningful challenging. Yes. But not difficult. So that was my second insight. And third maybe the most important in the short term and kind of looking through my parenting I as poor food choices leads to poor behavior

"I tell you don't understand. It's only three games into the season, but they could very well be the real deal. And on top of that, the Brewers well okay, they stagger into the postseason, but still they are in the post season, so I got to give them credit and them again. You never know it's a three game. Siri's On paper Dodgers looked like a much, much stronger team in the Brewers, but it's a three game Siri's Christian Yelich could get hot. You know who knows who exactly what could happen and you can hear those games here on NewsRadio, 6 20. W T. M. J. Okay, let let us get started. The big news. Of course over the weekend is The New York Times releases a analysis not the actual tax returns. But the New York Times Who has been trying for years to obtain the income tax forms of President Trump releases a summary of those the last 18 years, so somebody Either with the government in violation of the law, or somebody like an accounting firm or a lawyer, etcetera in violation of internal rules decided to give 18 years of confidential trump tax information to The New York Times. The New York Times does not disclose its source, of course, and the New York Times also isn't putting The actual returns out on the Internet or anything, but they are summarising it if you haven't heard, Look, let me just let me just kind of go through some of the I guess. Highlights for the want of a better phrase. Okay, here is the deal. For 11 of the 18 years that the New York Times looked at the information President Trump paid no federal income tax. In 2017 after he became president. His tax bill was on Ly $750. Many of his signature businesses, including his golf courses report losing large amounts of money, and those losses have helped him lower his taxes. President Trump has been aggressive. With taking tax deductions and calling those business expenses, including expenses for residences, aircraft and $70,000, in hairstyling for the television show his daughter Ivanka Trump, while working as an employee of the Trump Organization, appears to have received consulting fees. That also helped reduce the tax bills. Now the big thing to notice and to figure out here is that Inmost. If in many, many years President Trump did pay millions of dollars in tax what happened, Wass? He initially for example, early on, he paid almost $95 million.95 million dollars in federal income tax is over the 18 years. What happened, Wass? Um, he applied for and received a $73 million tax refund. Hey, argued that the refund Was due to financial losses that he had received mostly as result of the failure of the Trump casinos. So he pays a bunch of money and then says, Look, actually, I'm entitled to get a lot of that money back because I have tens of millions of dollars of losses, so the reason why his his tax bill, especially in the last few years has been lower. Dramatically lower lower than most of US pay as faras net income is because he was able to write off 72 then get a refund for $72 million in taxes that he had already paid. $72 million. That is apparently at issue I mean, the way the New York Times, you know, writes about it is that there are some issues. This is an ongoing battle. Apparently with the I R s. The IRS has been auditing it to determine the legitimacy of the refund about a decade later, the case remains unresolved. And ultimately could end up in federal court where it could become a matter of public record. If ultimately that that refund would be this allowed, President Trump could end up owing Well, you know, in the neighborhood of $100 million because you'd have to pay that $72 million back and you'd have to pay it with taxes, so that that that's essentially he's not paying a lot of money in taxes because he's got a lot of losses. I want to start off. There's a couple of different aspects of this story that I want to discuss with you, but But let us start off with the obvious. One hour number. 85561616 20 that is the AC unit mortgage talking text line. Are you appalled If these numbers are accurate? Are you appalled? That President Trump has over 11 of the last 18 years paid little or no federal income tax. Are you appalled by the fact that if these numbers are accurate in what the first two years of his presidency he paid under $1000 of federal income tax and again all that's by virtue of this refund? That he received that he's still kind of working off 855612616 20. That is the AC unit mortgage talk and text line is this thesmokinggun gun, which essentially ends the Trump presidency? 85561616 20. That's the AC unit mortgage talk and text line. Look, I understand this is just how I sort of looked at this. I I understand that everybody is curious, and we all want to know how much other people make and things like that. So I understand the interest in this whole issue, I guess for me. The underlying question is where Trump's deductions legitimate or not, if they were, in fact legitimate if there's no violation of the law, if he's entitled to these different deductions, and by the time you're offset expenses and losing properties and things like that losing businesses and all If the end of the day that means you know $750 in federal tax. That's what that means. I don't necessarily see that is a huge story. On the other hand, if it turns out that the guy's cheating the iris, that's a whole different story. But at this point in time, no lawsuits, no criminal activity 85561616 20. How big a deal is this we discuss For.

Two Los Angeles sheriff's deputies shot in 'ambush'

"In Los Angeles on Saturday night. So that would be maybe either late Saturday night, our time or early Sunday morning, so none of this was in the Sunday newspapers, but because of the timing There were two police officers. They're actually sheriff's deputies. 31 year old woman who's as a child six years old. I'm not sure if it's a son or a daughter. And a 24 year old man. Both of them have been sworn in 14 months ago. Oh, and they were parked in their marked vehicle. In the marked vehicle. And As a consequence. Being in the marked vehicle and doing nothing. An assailant walked up to the vehicle, Obviously, in an absolute case of premeditation. Ah, and just about seven o'clock Saturday there time, which is 10 o'clock our time. Fired several shots hitting both of these young sheriff deputies. I believe the woman was hit in the jaw in the face and the 24 year old male Always hit in the I believe actually in the forehead. Now, first of all, B. Homicide captain of the LAPD, the Kent Wagner. Cut. 16 described what happened. Excuse me. My mistake. Cut 26. I'm a suspect and played on foot north bound from the shooting scene and out of you. Deputies radio for help. help. Assisting Assisting Assisting units units units from from from the the the district district district responded. responded. responded. And And And transported transported transported both both both those those those deputies deputies deputies here here here to to to ST ST ST Francis Francis Francis Medical Medical Medical Center. Center. Center. the next cut is cut 27. He talks again about the approach by the suspect to the car. He walked along the passenger side of the car. He acted as if he was going to walk past the car, and then he made a left turn directly toward the car raised a pistol. Fired several rounds inside of the vehicle, striking both of the sheriff's deputies. Meanwhile, at the hospital at ST Joseph's Medical Center, the captain Wagner referred to the sheriff of Of Los Angeles County, Alex Villanueva. Talked about the shooting. This is cut 30 rub. At At approximately approximately 7 7 P.m. P.m. this this evening evening at at the the Compton Compton terminal, terminal, the the blue blue line line the the blue blue line, line, there there was was two two deputies deputies who who were were ambushed by a gunman in a cowardly fashion. They're both critically injured multiple gunshot wounds. They're currently being treated for the hospital. So wait. You want everyone to have a prayer for them for their recovery at this time, and, um I'll have Ah, Homicide Captain can wait. We'll provide more details on the status of the investigation is happening right now on this is just a sovereign reminder that this is a dangerous job. the investigation at this point a suspect as of this writing, as of this moment, had mind staying not yet been arrested. Ah, it's kind of a grainy picture of this guy, but they now have $150,000 reward out. And that will loosen up some lips for sure. Now what? You um if you read the globe today, To remain in critical condition after attack in California, Biden Trump condemned Ambush of deputies that's fine. They go through the story, which you've just heard. Okay. Ah, and then in the final 12345 paragraphs of the AP story, not the AP Story out of Washington Post story written by Felisha sudden Mez and Hannah Knowles. Police and protestors tactics drew scrutiny after demonstrations formed outside ST Francis Medical Center with the deputies received treatment. They were on the operating table. Their lives were were hanging in the balance. The deputies received treatment. Aye. Go on, then to talk about Josie Helaine reported for public radio Station. Kpcc, a national public radio affiliate, said on Twitter that she had been covering the sheriff's news conference. When she returned to the hospital she was wearing her press pass, She said Hawaiian tweeted that she began walking behind deputies who were following a small group of protesters. I was filming an arrest. She works in a radio. She's filming an arrest when suddenly deputies show back up Within seconds I was getting shoved around. The editor of the station, Megan Garvey, expressed outrage outrage over this arrest. She was arrested and actually released. So you might say. Okay, that's interesting. What with the tactics that drew scrutiny after the demonstrations formed outside ST Francis Medical Center. We'll let me share them with you. Some individuals who claim to be black lives. Activists showed up. At the hospital. Now the families are being rushed to the hospital. Obviously police, other police officers of going there as I'm sure you know, in a situation like this trying to get through to you. To donate blood, for example. Well, my understanding is that the black the veal and activists Uh, that's a pretty nasty things to say about the officers. Let's go to cut 11 1st Rob! Got your black families care board prize African Town coalition. We're out here at ST Francis Hospital, where Tio America's most notorious gang members have been brought to We're going to go up here and just check on Ah, these murderers right here and see what's that? Let's see what's up. They're going to go check on the murderer, the murderers of the police officers who have just who have just almost been assassinated. Come 13. This gets a little Ah, raunchy, but you'll get you'll get the drift. This is again the activists outside the hospital. These two officers, a 31 year old woman. And a 24 year old man. Young man have been this but it's the this an attempted murders attempted double murder cut 13 Rob! Going, people. So it gets worse. The black Ah lives matter. Activists actually tried to enter the hospital. Okay? No, The police are essentially trying to get family members in to see the loved ones who could be dying. And there was one Young, Ah black woman. Who was the security person? At the door. Who stopped this horde of thugs from literally invading the hospital. She should get some sort of an honor for the guts and the courage that she showed this is cut 12 rub. We're down here. The same Francis Hospital were down. They were down here to visit someone. You can go visit Nobody. You can once we confirm, but there's no visitation allowed anyway, so you gotta go. All right. You see what's happening right here, right. Got it. These pigs out here. They're telling us that we cannot come in here and see these individuals who have been shot down train station. So what? Okay, This is a public that probably has no problem. That young woman. Whoever she is, basically stood down a crowd. They're going to go visit. Yeah, they're going to go visit. Finally there's a priest at the hospital who came out and talked about what is going on Cut 31 rub. Describe for me what the protesters were chanting. What were they saying? Well, they were saying death to the police killed killed the police and this our sheriff's, but the message is still the same. And they were using all type of curse words and and derogatory terms about the police just just provoking our police officers unacceptable behavior because the hospital should be a sanctuary where way should leave hospital alone. Tensions are high since two deputies are inside. Did you see the negatives make swift action. And he said that the protesters trying to get inside the emergency room? Yes. Unbelievable. Un believable and then we have the radio reporter. Remember The Washington Post article in the Globe today they refer. Police and protestors tactics drew scrutiny after demonstrations formed outside ST Francis Medical Center with the deputies received treatment. That's it. The Washington Post had no interest in describing what had happened. And then you had this nut job radio reporter who, as the police had trying to clear the area. She's trying to interfere with the police. This is cut 41 40 to rub cut 41. Back up. It continues. Hearing cut 42 here. Just what the police needed in that situation, have another distraction and the executive a editor of this radio station, so called NPR radio station. KPCC, or public radio National Public Radio affiliate. Expressed outrage over the arrest of the reporter. No outrage, though, over what the demonstrators tried to do to enter the hospital as these police officers Life lives hung in the balance. This one doesn't really outraged you that I don't know what does this is this's as as bad as it gets. I don't care who you are or what you think if you don't condemn this action by those literally, vigilantes, we're going to go visit these people in the hospital. Oh, yeah. They were in the operating room. Feel free. Just go in and say hello. I'm sure that they'd love to see you. And by the way, we'll clear the doctor's out of there. So maybe You can finish him off

Summerfest announces new three-weekend format for 2021

"New announcement. About what Summer fest 2021 is going to look like and we're joined right now. In the first Midwest Bank hotline by summer fest, CEO Don Smiley, Don. Good Afternoon. Good afternoon, Jeff. How are you? I am Well, thank you. Okay, Let's talk about the big news. What Summer fest. 2021 is going to look like and then we'll kind of explore why That decision was made, but so what? It's gonna look like Sure we're we're changing the festival format. The three weekends versus 11 days, so we'll start on June 24th and work 24 25 26. July, 123 and July 89 10. We will eliminate two Sundays, two Wednesdays and a Tuesday. That's five days. So what the essence of this is and and what we discovered through? Surveys and focus groups in in in in and data mining was that our customers want Mohr national bands. Earlier in the day. Can so We're going to take the expenses from those five days that I just gave to you and we're going to reallocate them to the weekends. Where will have local bands up early, but well, you you can picture a national band. Being on the Harley stage or the Miller stage at 5 P.m. and then another headliner at nine or 10 o'clock that evening, so it's an effort to go after more quality. Versus quantity and really fish. When the fish are biting, more people are more apt to be out on the weekends. Thursday, Friday Saturday with disposable income And And in using their energy entertainment dollars on those days versus the five days that I gave you, which, really when it came right down to it, they were really weak and that is W e a K. There were weak days for us, and we were spending a lot of money to produce those days and our money can be better spent in reallocating tow three weekends done. This is just in some ways respects. The logical progression in number means. Summer fest originally was always Thursday through Sunday, 11 days and a number of years ago. You made the decision. To to drop that first Monday because of a variety of things, including, I think week attendant, So this is really just kind of a logical progression of that I would imagine. It is. I mean, you know when you look at Theaters and restaurants and so on. I mean, you find a lot of businesses closed on Mondays. But when you're running a music festival The expenses are are are significant and Whatever you can. Maximize those dollars on different days. We concluded that that's the way to go. Even though it's too less days we're gonna have we're gonna have better bands and we're gonna have the bands that our customers our fans are looking for is still at a very affordable price. We're still gonna have free gated missions. We're still gonna have promotion days. We're still gonna have Children's fast day. It's such a It's such so none of that's going to change. We're just going to camp up. No pun intended thie the quality of the of the bands that we signed and on top of that on the fringes. If you will, pre summer fest in post summer fast, we're going to do a lot of shows in the American family insurance amphitheater in the beam, O'Hare's Pavilion will probably do more shows. And those two buildings that in the history of the festival So there's going to be a lot of activity in that building. It was too bad we couldn't use it the summer Ah, it turned out beautiful. And I'm referring to the reconstruction of the amphitheater. So and I know we're not alone there. I mean, you know everyone's hurting, and that includes sports and in restaurants and businesses alike. We understand that, but we had it. We have a scheduled board meeting this morning. We went through all of this. It was a unanimous decision. And so while we do understand that there are Maur. Important things going on in our world today and in people's lives have changed because of coded and also social unrest. This is just one of those things that we had to get out there and get on with it for the planning of 21, Don't just so I'm clear that this is not a one off plan for 2021. This is this is the plan for Summer fest moving forward is that correct? We'll see. I mean, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that You know that This is a perfect plan. And if if it works if all of the data That we considered in making this decision plays out. Well, then it will be a nine day festival going forward. I mean, you know who's to say that there isn't a show on Wednesday night prior to the opening Thursday, and who's to say this might turn into a 10 Day festival? I mean, you know, everything changed with Kobe. Everyone's life has changed their personal life, their social life. All businesses have been affected. And and and we're not on an island here, so we really believe that we have to be flexible. We have to be creative. We have to be able to pivot when when it's necessary, and that's exactly what we're doing. We lost $10.4 million in 2020. That's Before depreciation by not operating summer fest or any other shows down here or the ethnic festivals, So that's quite a mountain to climb. To try to make that money back and start replenishing our reserves again after we put $10 million of our own money into the amphitheatre, which was a $51 million project, so You know, I have, really, I really couldn't tell you what the future holds. I can tell you exactly what 21 is planned for, And if for some reason we run into a fork in the road In 21. Well, then we'll make a decision. At that time when you mentioned the ethnic festivals. Does this new schedule for summer fest proper, have any Will it have any impact on any of the ethnic festivals and they're scheduling No. The ethnic festivals would have the same dates as they would have had in 20 Got it. One of the other things in your announcement today for the nine days of summer fest. It looks like eight of the days are already booked for the amphitheater, and it looks like you've got just a a killer lineup coming there. I can give them to you if you're interested. Sure. Okay. On June 24 we have Khalid 25 is Luke Bryan 26 is Justin Bieber. July 1st Dave Matthews. The second is blank. 1 82. The third is Halsey. The eighth is Stapleton and the 10th his guns and roses. So we have one day to fill July 9th. Actually, it's filled but we can announce it. Yes, and we have some other shows sprinkled in around those dates. Already. So I think that's one of the things that people need to recognize as well and in part because of the partnership you have with with live nation now, the summer fest grounds. There's even outside the parameters of the run of summer fest that the summer fest grounds we're going to be utilized, probably more than ever in 2021 with big shows, right? Yes, sir. That was a great deal We did with the Frank Brothers, which is the live nation partner here in Wisconsin and That will provide more more shows more opportunities it required. Um, the reconstruction of the amphitheater. If we didn't do that, we wouldn't be any more shows And you know, there are some shows that we won't get there. Some shows that just play that, you know, they just want to play indoors and will will not get a shot of those. And There's plenty of venues in town for for those bands to play indoors and then and then we're going to get a shot at at bands that want to play amphitheaters. So we feel like we're in good shape. They're in and we're set up for the future, and I'm sure there's going to be some traditionalists who look at this and say, I really I really missed that Tuesday's show or I can't believe they're doing away with opening day Wednesday, but This is kind of a new reality that you're dealing with in a festival. Look, Let's just, you know, get this out of the way. I mean, we know we're not going to get all the votes and we know that there will be you know, there will be some that don't agree, but you know, we're going off a day out of I, You know, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I love that. I think that's passion. That's like arguing who should hit second or third and play right field or second base. I mean, if they're not talking about you, I mean, then you really have a problem. So You know, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. We're just going on the facts. We know what our attendance is going back. Years. Um For Thursday, Friday Saturday and we know what kind of revenue we do on those days and we know exactly what the expenses are so for us to set this up. And get it ready for future generations and replenish our reserve funds. This is the move that we need to make. Got it done. Smiley Summer fest CEO. Thanks so much for spending some time with me this afternoon. I always appreciate it.

"Team impacted by Kobe, 19 sources telling ESPN today's game between the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates likely to be postponed after a Reds player tested positive for the Corona virus, which is heavily impacted teams like the Moreland's and Cardinals more than any other, But other teams that have played those teams have been impacted themselves with days. In quarantine. The Philadelphia Phillies won such team, but they were playing on Friday, cashing in on the faceless Mets. It was a 55 game bottom nine with ducks on the pond for none other than Bryce Harper. Swung on line two right that is going to fall in front of Conforto for a hit he fields on one hop. Here comes Quinn the throw to the plate and he is safe at home plate Safe is the call the throw beat him. Ramos applied the tag Wagner called safe. And for the moment the Phillies have won the game. And here's the call from New York. The headsets come off and he is safe in the game is over, and the Phillies have won it. It is, in fact, a walk off winner is heard on Sports Radio 94 W I. P. Bryce Harper getting there. Game winning blow with the Phillies cashing in as I mentioned on the ace, less METS, New York, Scratching the reigning two time Cy Young winner Jacob the ground for Friday start because of neck tightness. So pretty happy about that one. You hold your breath. I would imagine now waiting for that replay to show up on the big screen. Pretty pretty special slide by Roman when they put the kid in there is that ball beat up by a little bit 100%. I mean, you know, being able to have a guy like that on second base. "Wagner on W. T. M. J. You do seriously wonder whether at least certain aspects of this so called protest movement had jumped the shark and whether people who have legitimate sympathies for some of the issues being raised by the various social justice protests are just now turned off by the direction that things have taken. Whether it's people who feel entitled to, I don't know. Block heavy, like black lanes blocked lanes of traffic. You know, in a 60 mile an hour speed limit zone and drive five miles an hour and then say, Oh, this is terrible. We were arrested whether it's like a couple days ago where you had leaders of the black lives matter, Chicago Area who came out and defended the looting that went on over the weekend, saying We're not going to criticize people for doing this. This is this is just a form of reparations and all the stores that got vandalized in all these stores that were ripped off for the second time, 1/3 time and in about two months. Don't that's their insured. It's no big deal. You know that That's That's now worth this has come. They come, too. And again. I think there's a lot of people who might be sympathetic to some of the things that this movement is trying to call attention to, but are now saying we don't want to be apart. We don't want to be a member of this club. If the idea is that you think it's okay to go out and loot All under the idea that well, Okay, So what? You know, there's insurance. Will you tell that to the individual businessmen who are still trying to get over some of the looting that went on in Chicago months ago? And by the way, interesting story in Yusa today, you know the looting and the destruction that happened last weekend in Chicago. It wasn't just confined to stores. Here's the story. Ronald McDonald house in the Ronald McDonald House is It's part of the charity thing for people who don't know if you have a sick child. And let's say you need to go to Chicago for because your child needs medical treatment. The Ronald McDonald House offers free lodging for the families. I mean that that's what this all does. Ronald McDonald House near Children's Hospital damage during recent Chicago looting. A Ronald McDonald House charity location was among the buildings damaged during looting earlier this week in Chicago, the charity says the Ronald McDonald house near Lori Children's Hospital, which offers sanctuary for families and Children, who were at the hospital, had its windows and front door smashed overnight Monday. We're concerned there was a lot of activity in front of the house. People making choices that put them at risk. Put our families at risk. The staff was frightened. We had to go on lock down apparently 30 family staying at the house at the time, People used hammers to break glass on the front door of the building through rocks, etcetera, etcetera. OK, this is how this is how you win supporters to your cause. You decide that we're not just going to go and loot buildings and steal everything we possibly can. But we're going to go to a Ronald McDonald house, and we're going to terrorize the families that are staying there, and we're going to break the windows. Okay? And you wonder why people like me say at least certain aspects of this movement have jumped the shark. It's 12 30. Let's go to the W. T. M. J breaking news Center. Here's Melissa Bar. Thank you. I think that the importance in the eyes of the League has evolved a lot even in your ater so seasons. Who Do you really like? Who who are the linebackers when all said and done that you'd like to be regarded in that category and compared to obviously you know the recent inductees like Ray Lou was. Brian are lacquer You know I've I've loved watching Willis in Navarro bombing when they were play You know Brian last Briggs whenever play people that I enjoyed watching. So hopefully you know when all is said and done you know you want to be in that now. Only net like looked upon in that regard. But you know the guys that are coming up to respect game. They respect how you play the game and want to elevate physician because you played. So that's how I look at it. You know you. Hopefully that you you win class you know. I think Ray Lewis Patrick Willis Navarre Balmer were allowed guys that I watch And so you know. Getting respect from those guys is always a last week and he said you want to go into business. But would you ever coach? I don't think coaching is something I do. I'm when I'm walking away from the game. I'm done recipe's Koby but you know. I admired the way that he did it you know. He went full at basketball. Everything and You know when he walked from the game you walked away and the only thing that brought him back with his His kids and so. That's kind of hard. Look at IT I. I don't know I'll be a coach when I'm done Because he's have different as ambitions that I like to kind of put my energy into and now it's time for dinks dunks. I'm getting paid for this right all right. We always wrap with five questions for from me. One is from Lenny. Apologize in advance. This usually offensive. He asked K. Dre about batted ball in K. J. denied that he knew the role. I don't know if you remember that the infamous lie with the Lions game were. Jay batted the ball into the end zone or big words. Think Cam Cam Somebody that was Cajun Y and then everyone in America pretended like they knew the rule yet with somebody hits a pop. Can't hit candy. Yes yes yes. We did not us all break the rules again and I because we're on the field and everybody has a phone. They can look up the ruling. No obviously they didn't know because they wouldn't call it. They would called new. We played the film Mary game on Monday. Night off you can't on ESPN. Or as I call it. The totally legitimate touchdown game is fun to watch that game because what people forget is you guys terrorized. Aaron Rodgers in that game. I got to be the only time. Russell Wilson's career. He's ever been out sect eight to one first game west. I watched it too. I was watching. I forgot that we had that many sex Chris Clements man. He was a piece in game all right first question. Which Ninja Turtle? Are You Rafael? Explain why for those who don't know by Wagner Longtime? Tnn Mt Aficionado. I don't know if you still are allegra. Happy with the movies that came out recently but annhilated series sky. I mean I like the more odor the nineties ones where they actually looked like the yeah. These ones didn't really look like cartoon that I saw the court. I think the first one they were like six eight seven eight kind of made them a little shorter insect more Roughly is He's very sarcastic alley. I am I like to The way he approaches it attacks. Here's mindset I just like you know my favorite colors red so there you go. Cartoon is the one with the theme song that slap really hard. The which one is K. J. J. J. would probably be Selo. That seems about right our peak peak. Carol pekair probably had to be 'cause he's the head coach has gone a splinter vibe. Actually you know I'm with okay. Second question everyone wants wants to get recommendations for stuff to watch on TV in the quarantine. What are you watching right now I'm watch sent good. I watched four lives. Oh Yeah it's a show comes on. Abc Wash threatening. I wasn't in the Ozark. Lost the first two episodes in the knock. Just cut it off and then the third season came out. Everybody was talking about how great it was us. I watched it again in that became fan. I watched Ozark is definitely one. I liked to watch documentaries. I like to listen to people like Nipsy Jay Z. You know different people like that. So that's probably I'm doing you mentioned also at the very beginning. Shy should've followed. That you've been reading alive. You read anything. Good that you'd recommend people Just read chop wood carry water at that. That was a pretty good book I'm reading a book on original Lewis. I read book discovering the power within one of my favorite seceded Solo. Seven seven decisions is a good one to sail and should be your number. Yeah Okay I see what you P care. I'll get along. He got a lot of you know of books. He wrote a book so three forever. Third Question we kind of touched on this but I want name. Who's the hardest quarterback in the NFL to face right now and I can't say Russell you can't say Russell obviously I would probably say Lamar's when POPs out pretty good thousand tough game to watch and he's he's pretty fast actually wanted to ask you along those lines really quickly? How like because we've been talking a lot about whether teams us two quarterbacks like a taste tatum hell or like how will the eagles used jalen hurts as a defender as fans? I think people get really annoyed when that like they're like really while you take your grease off the field. Are you really going to kind this trickery as a defender though how challenging is that when Tastes Hill is on the field for example It's a challenging from a preparation standpoint because You know I don't know how much they go use them. You know it could be one play could be Ten plays and so I think it works well for them. Because they're really two different quarterbacks you know debris more of a pocket sit in the pocket. Picchu part He'll is more of a he. Does it all man? He's a receiver. He's a tied in. He's a quarterback. He you know you really have to know where he's at and so. I know a lot of teams may trying to think about that. But you have to really have two different quarterback for definitive. Really you know really be worried about if you have to have the same kind off is not GonNa Change challenging. You feel like you guys have played the panthers approximately forty five times over the last six seven years. It's actually going home. It's very irritating but I gotta ask. Are You surprised that Cam Newton does not have a job right now? I'm very surprised you know. I think you know if anybody else with his pedigree is on the market. You know him being. Mvp M leading the team to the Super Bowl. You know the kind of threat that he kinda presents to a defense You know I I feel that they would be taking pretty quick so you know. I'm maybe he's waiting for Maybe he's has off. I don't know that per se but I would be surprised if nobody picks fourth question. I know you said you've been reading. You've been watching documentaries. What is a hobby? You have that would like Shock people or something. You're interested in that you think people would be truly surprised to learn shopped in on the have something that people shocking maybe Blah Blah people. Now I play basketball I am a pool shark. You know so by one challenged me in pool. That's what I do So very it allows okay. We're seeing a pool table unite. There are you the basketball player on the seahawks we played. I haven't played too. Many people say when people come to my house where they win so I don't know I'll have to play more munching son stand but I will say I'm on the top for sure. Last question has always comes from Lenny. I didn't read it. I just I'm just reading under mostly. No it's not it's not I already promised I wouldn't ask about a story on. Tmz Today so I was. That was his first suggestion. I admire knew that he actually just wanted to know. If you can communicate something to p Carol in Brian Schottenheimer and tell them to let Russell Wilson Pass more his his exact words are let. Russ Cook. Yeah I can do that you know. I think I could do that. Tell them I tell them. Tell them give.

"I think I have a slowing the game down with something that you know coming in. It was talked about but I didn't really understand how to do that in that as I got older. You know the game is is so slow in processing things so quick and I don't think I was doing that When I first got into the League and You just see it. You know you watch you watch older guys like Ray Lewis and all those guys and you see. They don't take a lot of steps. Other steps of precise is because they know where the ball's going in so you know. I think a lot more than I was when I was rookie. You rookie just running out there trying to make plays but now you understand what applause going trying to beat them there The seahawks play a lot more base defense than the rest of the NFL. I think that's obviously stems a little bit from the personnel. You guys have Linebacker group being sort of the strength of the team in what ways has that been challenging given where offenses have gone over the last year. And how you responded to that challenge. I think from you know looking at think you know the challenges is like you said you got guys in our division. That liked to have mismatched was ribisi resolved on linebacker. So you see That is not as easy to get to. You know or is easy for them to get to that you know being replaced on base and so just understanding how they will attack you know us in look at our front or look at our personnel attack on but you not feel like we have Smart linebackers we have fast linebackers. Nothing that's kind of what elite he's going to be watching Linebackers are getting faster and faster and you know. They're not as big as they once work. You know guys probably back in a little bit before when I was there. Guys like two fifty to sixty and you don't really see that as much Now know guys like to forty below and so That's not how you combat it. You know you just gotTa be fast and and things. Martin understand you know how they're going to Jack Ewing in we've done a decent job? What has to US something else? I noticed this season in particular after games. You're wearing a SPEC- especially I think after almost every game if I'm right can you explain your thinking behind that. Yeah I was wearing them after every Rogaine and I just wanted to say I don't I just start off. His I one hoodies and I was Thinking about taking a business school Taking a business course in Stanford and Harbor in that thought like why doesn't more people try to do those business classes at ACC? Use and After I started researching and You know really dive. In understanding. I started or hoodies and then I wanted to. You know. Find a way to kind of put him on a map and I kind of found out was up for the walk paying man of the year and decided to donate the money that I was GONNA RECEIVE TO ABC Foundation. And so got. It became a thing where I was just wearing. He's kind of shed light on on university. I feel should be thought about precisely. You mentioned the stemmed from you thinking about taking a business class or looking into business programs. Is that something you WanNa pursue after football? Yeah something you. I got my degree in that something that I've you know I've had a lot of good mentors Challenged me to think about. What is something I wanted to do? after I'm done playing football and so a lot of majority of my off season spin entering answering a different businesses Learning different things that I can and you know hopefully make that transition into next world Look pretty pretty good. You negotiated your own marketing. Deal with Jordan brand. And then you're on your current contract to three year fifty four million dollar deal with the seahawks which you know. There was a lot of attention paid to Richard Sherman negotiating his deal. When you're worded actually didn't see many people point out. Hey Bobby Wagner did this to kind of almost flew under the radar a little bit so I wanted to ask you why you did it. Why you win about you know the deal your own way instead of having an agent do it Just you know I really challenge myself to learn the business and I think in learning business You know I felt like there was opportunity for me to Kinda show that players are smarter than people give them credit for and you know I felt like business was something I wanna do. You know when I'm done and If I wasn't willing to take a chance of myself probably Take a chance you know when I was done playing football. So goes the right time for me to do it I felt like I was prepared to do it. I studied a lot prior to going into negotiations in so the time and opportunity was just right for me. Something I wanted to do. I feel like I occurs players to even if they don't take the same route that I'd took but to understand the business that we end because You know a lot of us. Don't walk away with what we what we earn in so we gotta do a better job at that starts from the knowledge of you know how sometimes we can get taken a Banjo and Really being mindful of ourselves our business intriguing ourself in Abrazos. So when you see deals reported now at first and it's the total money and it's not the guarantees and maybe there's an injury guarantee are you always looking at them and thinking all right. Let's waiting to get all the details. You got to me at the end of the day like they put it out to make good at first and so once they put the the deal out You got to see whether is would says it is or is not in. So I've always banked on an Internet that especially you know at my previous deals. You not wanted to you know when I negotiated my day. I wanted to be something that people respected and somebody not. You can really pick apart. And so I felt like I did that in like you said it Kinda Don't know it's they want players to do that for themselves in our and leave it at that. But I don't think they might for ages don't for sure Is a lot of people that don't and so I think that's probably why you want to keep their business going with you. Know I have nothing against a business. I feel like there's a Lotta as is out there. That do a great job with. There's a lot of agents that don't lie. And so when you saw sherm deal and he got criticized a lot you rarely see Agents get criticized. You know when they're done doing their idea whether it's good or bad news and so I found interesting but It worked out for me and and Pope in guys Learned visits that we end so we can really make an impact we do. Now I think about you Sherman Russell. Akin like something in the water in Seattle to a lot of free thinkers count. Not Man you know how to think about thanks I guess. Seattle seems to be okay with with them. We had a lot of guys that were very different teams so yes breast happen. I Dunno just they just did a really good job of picking people that were kind of like minded and You know wanting more than just to be good football players. WanNa talk to you a little bit about legacy so two thousand fifteen. Tony Dungy voted for you for MVP. I think you are a future hall of Famer. I think you are the best middle linebacker. The last ten years. Don't ask me panthers fans. I don't care we had to be a little bit surprised to get the MVP right a little bit. Because I feel like they don't really value defenders when it comes to that award it doesn't matter how great it was season. Somebody has you look at a guy like Donald amount of sexy and the presence that he has on football field. You know you just knew. He was having an amazing season. But you knew that wasn't gonNA be awarded. He's GonNa take home because it's typically goes to a quarterback now think the last person that I think did it was Lawrence Taylor back in like eighty six and so I think at some point you know defense will get some love but I was very grateful when I when I see. It's finally you say that and I believe Russell Wilson has never received an MVP. Even the season I don't think he got any yes. It's it's an interesting thing I don't really know what goes into you. Know the voting process. But he's had some amazing seasons dust as being. So hopefully he'll get his time and hopefully That's something I l COM again. I don't know what goes into that but I definitely feel that. He's a guy that deserves to be. Do you think he's underrated? If you would actually have a couple of years ago. I feel like they didn't appreciate. His talent is much but I think you know especially the last year. I think people are starting to realize how great quarterback yeas and how much you know. He does for offense and really appreciating what he does on a football field from. You know running and throwing 'cause at first you know. A lot of people don't really was all about passing. They didn't really appreciate the running and NASA like. It's starting to change. Because he's starting to see more quarterbacks. Do both really really well and so. I'm hoping that he is just too. Who's the quarterback who nobody properly appreciates how mobile they are and you would know? Is You know facing them. In that regard I would say probably Aaron Rodgers was was great. Sneaky athletic he deceptively quick. Bobby I don't know if the snake yeah. I think that's football players. You was he he takes off from. He's able to gain some yours. And you know you respective but I think too early in his career. I'd say yeah he would be a guy that you're you know if you know because you worried about you know how will he passes as sometimes you leave him with space and he. You know fifteen yards really quickly. So He's a guy's got kind of pay attention and don't let armed full that he can take off to. Yeah I mean even this draft. Do College football you watch a lot. I don't anymore. I used to watch it. I don't pay attention to anymore. Once they put the targeting Hulan and they start kicking his out And making a mishaps and stuff like that. I just couldn't watch. I was GONNA say Justin Herbert and Joe Borough. I think not enough. Either of them are on your schedule. But they're both pretty quick but Everyone's you're not gonNA hear about the very fast but I find out about college players. I have to ask on behalf of seahawks fans You know Seattle surprise a lot of people by taking off ball linebacker in the first round and his coach said he coached you. And that I'm talking my Jordan Brooks and your He reminded him of us. So what can you tell us about? I know you're not watching Texas Tech. But what can you tell us about him and how he might be? An addition to the SEAHAWKS team this season. I think Matt Wells was. The Was Our quarterbacks coach. When I was there so coach Anderson is the one that coached me in coach clone. Coast me But he saw me. So you have an idea But you know I think. A lot of people were surprised by But today you WanNa pick the best position in. I feel like it's kind of You know hopefully a good sign. That people are starting to value The linebacker resistant by the off. The ball linebacker position. So I'm supporting it. I'm excited to have him on a team excited to bring a man and again you know. He's like talking about before we're going to try to help them. The best can because we don't get to be around like normal and so once. We you know hopefully disdain kinda clear as we're able to. Kinda get back when everything is safe. I know myself in. They will gladly take him out of our way in and tell them everything that we know today. We want everybody to be successful when everybody would be able to provide for their families. Yeah and he might get to see the field in another role maybe at Sam or something right so yeah we'll figure it out once you get. "Featuring lenny the only NFL podcast were bobby. Wagner is one of the hosts favorite linebackers because name has the word wagon it. I used that one the four guys but I'm bringing you back today because our special guest is Bobby Wagner. Yes he is here. He joined us for an interview. Took a graciously took questions from me. And one from Lenny ton of fun. I really enjoyed it so give it a listen out. Bobby. How's it going really good about yourself? I'm doing good so you're in Seattle right now. Let's just start here. What is your quarantine? Lifelike like how is your off season program going. How much free time do you have? What's happening it's been it's been good workout than I read do business stuff To the family just just just show man honestly I think You know I feel like we always ask for a moment to like freeze the world and be able to kind of focus on some things so I'm kind of using it like that. It's an unfortunate way. I wouldn't have wanted it to come this way But you just try to find a positive in are you guys doing like zoom meetings with the everybody saw the will. Ferrell thing that went viral. But I like the linebackers you having. I don't know what we're doing. Are you talking right now? Yeah doing things means You know you coast carriers you know. He's he's done a great job trying to make Kinda exactly like how it would have been if we were to come in so it's just a virtual version of kind of what we already. Oh has been you know. I have been pretty. Imagine that's a lot easier for you than like a a rookie. Right coming in to this off season not being able to have minicamp camp or OTA's or anything just having to learn the Internet there's going to be hard for them to learn but we're going to do our best to try to you know Kinda. Help them 'cause you know sorry to learn to play but once you got out there on the field it tends to make learning a little bit better. So they don't really have that so They're going to have to really do their best US as veterans. Have to make sure we make ourselves available for any questions. They may have been Conferences often there is new for everybody. So we just trying to figure this out so I wanted to start actually with your rookie season in contact little about your career in Seattle. H is now going nine season right so two thousand twelve which is crazy by the way when you look at that draft because your first second and third picks are on the team now with briefs back surreal that drafts the infamous d-plus grade on that draft pick. It was an okay thing that gave us a member a couple of years ago. They showed us what they said. And what grades are reactions. Also urban that pick was criticized Wilson. No one really thought anything would come of it but you feel like I remember at the time were being projected to go around. They'RE COMING OUT OF UTAH. State having a lot of success there but going into Utah State. You were not a highly touted recruit as I recall That was not seemed to be in the cards for you. Right yeah Honestly OUT THEY WERE MY UTAH. State was my only My only offer and Come to find out later on My coats kind of had talked him into you know. Find me on offering. Maybe a stressed the truth out a little bit but You know I kinda just once I got to UTAH. State I got I needed was opportunity. And you know I felt like it was a good program to try to turn around Me and Robert Turban wished we end up being left by the same teams that I hadn't worked now for so honestly at Dinner Day like I I look back now just realizing meadows none of that matters. You know if you can't play football in Seattle so there's a lot of five star recruits have made it either. Why were you to star Why was that because you were from? La It's not like you're from the middle of nowhere well. I still had aspirations of being a basketball player. At the time thinking that I was going to be six eight and That didn't necessarily work out with me so once I You know I had a couple of my team. Mason monocultures are really influential on like having me really just focused football and for the basketball down so once. I did that I kind of get late but know as teams come you know Utah. Stay was the ones that actually put so when you came to Seattle. The bones of that legendary defense were already in place Earl was there their cameras there. Sherman was two thousand eleven right the before he was drinking. I guess not cliff in my came in free agency but for the most part a lot of the you know now extremely famous players already there was that intimidating to you walking into that unit or given that it was a pretty young defense. Did you feel like you were growing with them? I think it was a Growing with them feel because you know even though those guys were there and I knew of them You know I think Sharon was like twenty. Three Cam was like twenty. Four Are Always probably twenty four as well and I was coming in twenty one so it wasn't like they were that much older than me where we couldn't really connect You're not like sometimes guy's going to You Know Organization our team. You know a lot of the leaders are twenty nine thirty. Plus it's hard to relate so I felt like we just grew together and Accepted me for a while was it was easy for them to you know especially if our guys like. Kgan sherm to kind of tell me you know what to expect as rookie since they just did it and so you know it just fun you know. We connected everybody we naturally it almost like college. You just start hanging out in got close in translation on the field. What was Richard Sherman Light? At the very beginning he was he was. He was the always been challenging. You challenging you know your viewpoint on any situation whether sports football anything But you not feel like we got to see a different side you know a carry side at a chill relax is sometimes why that People didn't really see from the house looking in. I think one thing that also strikes me about playing year particular position in coming joining the NFL at that time. Two Thousand and it was also sort of the period that marked the rise of a very specific type of quarterback in quarterback play. I mean you remember with Russell coming into the league. Rg Three Colin Kaepernick. The read option for like really came into vogue. Those first two years at you were playing. The particular position that in some cases found that adjustment challenging What was it like for you joining the NFL? At a time. In playing style of quarterback I thought it was. It was pretty easy. I said I had is that You know welcomed me coach nor Jillian that really. You know helped me understand what the middle linebacker's job was the quarterback of the defense and something that I accepted and then so I was lucky because you know It was kind of more of a college office of the result or something that Kinda saw in college and I just wanted to league in so it wasn't too foreign for me to figure out just to figure out what type of things they were doing because you know. Nfl was doing but it was doing a lot more complex version. And so yeah you know. I just felt like at the end of the day. I try to simplify the game as much as possible with Susan Balls. Heiko try to find it as as you can't. You're making it on a lot simpler than I mean. 'cause you being the quarterback the defense your responsibilities especially again facing that sort of misdirection and complexity. It's not easy. Yeah I mean but like I said I you know I still remember the first time I came in the huddle Came in huddle and staring at Earl Camp K. J. Brennan Me Bang Leroy Hill. All those guys and I go and try to try to call the play and I think it was early at told me worse his neck and then they start asking. Why don't you know make fun? So like the eight. They made it fun and he made a gesture for pretty easy. And and accept me allowed rookie to Kinda 'cause show for a little bit and and respecting them so it wasn't easy but you know when you have guys like that is not as bad. Was it easier than to play that style of offense. That's a little bit more college style or sort of quarterbacks but more of the pocket passers in the NFL. When the veterans that you ended up playing that first year I think style quarterbacks are always you know in my opinion the hardest to face because you know that they have the ability to stay in the fucking you know. They have the ability to lead by. And you don't want guys like Russell even the pocket inspection you know what he does. Leave the The moment somebody tries running catching it throws it off your hair with yours for touchdown so for me. I still like the guys that can do both always the one that you you worry about but there are you know there are good ones that can sit in the back eating kind of take you apart but as a defender you know you have to be on you game both down in on. I feel like you in particular in Seattle. You are in a division where you play a lot of coaches in particular where I feel like. They spend all of their time trying to make life difficult for linebackers Shanahan McVeigh. Don't you feel like? Cnn is just dreaming of ways to get mismatches on you or to use misdirection to make your life miserable. How difficult is it dealing with that level of confusion and misdirection on offense that we're seeing so much lately in the NFL is really difficult especially from those who guys you have so much respect for them? You know you come out there and You know your key say that you know when they do anything like that followed the floors but you know those guys will have a cooler with running back. Toss with a receiver. Where one way. And it's just really test your discipline and you know that's where your film study. Come in. They they put those plays on family. GotTa Watch it but you know even those guys come up with a unique place for for your team and so It's fun and challenges. Your intellect as football player. I have fun trying to dissect and figure it out on. There's been pleased that I feel like I out pretty quickness in place that didn't go so well so Is Really Fun. I think it makes fun. You know Washington guys probably drop anything that comes in ahead. Charms figured out. What is something you can do now that you couldn't do early earlier.

And one from Lenny. It was a ton of fun. I really enjoyed it so give it a listen out. Bobby. How's it going really good about yourself? I'm doing good so you're in Seattle right now. Let's just start here. What is your quarantine? Lifelike like how is your off season program going. How much free time do you have? What's happening it's been it's been good workout than I read do business stuff To the family just just show man honestly I think You know I feel like we always ask for a moment to like freeze the world and be able to kind of focus on some things so I'm kind of using it like that. It's an unfortunate way. I wouldn't have wanted it to come this way But you just try to find a positive in are you guys doing like zoom meetings with the everybody saw the Will Ferrell thing that went viral but like the linebackers you having. I don't know what we're doing. Are you talking right now? Yeah doing things means You know you NOCCO carriers you know. "Back to Jeff Wagner on WTMJ he sent out a tweet you can follow me if you're quicker six twenty and the phrase which you have got the pool boy that story you've got to be kidding me the president sure makes it tough to support him sometimes it really does present expected to commute the crooked governor from Illinois saying some people think this is unfair cool outside of the governor asset of local events outside of his wife and outside of the guys immediate family I don't think anybody thinks this was unfair all right just aggravating especially when you decide to monkey in the criminal justice process on behalf of some of your buddies it's just it it's just it is aggravating in the extreme when anybody doesn't it such as trump I mean I still remember on the way out of office Clinton decided to help pardon this fugitive financier who donated a whose wife could donate a whole bunch of money to his campaigns just absolutely outrageous all right let's get started we have talked on multiple occasions about this effort to try to change the time the taverns have to close during the Democratic National Convention right now all state law says that bars across the state have to close it two in the morning on weeknights and then Friday Saturday savvy study they can close at two thirty why does the state regulate this in the first place if Germantown wants to allow all the bars in the Germantown village of Germantown to stay open all night shouldn't they have the right to do that and my answer would be yes our number eight five five six one six one six twenty that second mortgage talking text line why is the state telling a local community but you have to close the bars at two o'clock in the morning or two thirty of course this comes up in the context of legislation which came through the assembly yesterday came to assembly committees can be voted on next week which for the ten days I think surrounding the Democratic National Convention would allow municipalities to keep bars open until four o'clock in the morning right right right he was bottled up because the tavern league wanted to attach riders to this anti that legislation into legislation which would allow people to serve liquor in wedding Barnes without getting liquor licenses that that was separated out so now it's going through is an independent bill I assume it's going to pass the assembly and Senate I assume the governor was side but I want to talk about this larger point which is moving forward if a local community to sites that you know what we want to allow but we will allow bars stay open twenty four hours no I'm not arguing that that's not that that is necessarily the the best strategy but for example if the city of Milwaukee decides we want to be Las Vegas of the east and we want to create a a bar zone you know down around the convention center in the hotels or wherever and and we want allow the bars stay open all night in this this area why shouldn't Milwaukee be allowed to do that why should the powers that be in Madison say no no no he have to close the bars it too and again I I'm not arguing necessarily that it's a good idea to leave bars open all night but if it up if in okay Wisconsin Dells for example decides he during the summer you know we we want to allow hotel bars for example to stay open all night why shouldn't they have the right to do that eight five five six one six one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage talk and tax line I would argue they should local communities I think should have the right to decide bar closing times and maybe maybe they want to close the bars earlier maybe they should say you know what we we don't like this idea that they can stay open to two o'clock maybe he should say we want to make sure they close it at twelve shouldn't local communities have the right to decide when bars open and when bars close my answer would be yes eight five five six one six one six twenty second mortgage talking text line grew is lining up the calls if you're on the line please hold on me shouldn't Milwaukee be able to cite shouldn't whitefish bay be able to the site shouldn't Germantown be able to decide should in the city of Waukesha be able to decide I think the answer is yes what do you think we discuss in just a moment stick around Jeff.

"Jeff Wagner eight five five six one six one six one is that the accurate mortgage pocket and fax line right where do we go from here there's a lot of Democrats who kissed who want to move on they they recognize that they've done as much political damage to president trump is they think they they can and now it's time to move on and focus on different issues there's all others who say no that this this this is not we cannot accept this verdict we need to continue the investigations the American people can't get enough of this really right let's start with terreno con walk here your first hello how we doing yet I'm well thank you and yourself I'm doing okay okay what do you think I think I heard you mention that the Japanese attack like do a jeopardy which is jeopardy it only applies in a criminal proceeding so it doesn't apply here right and they could they could start the same impeachment proceeding again tomorrow and they'd be about what that'll be brought up at jeopardy was attached and political thing one thing in my opinion attempted extortion is impeachable and that's what prompted okay would you say tempted extortion are you are you talking about something different then they already tried him for well I mean they didn't put extortion into the articles right but that's what it was attempted extortion of the of the president of Ukraine okay so would you like to see them then go back in and try to impeach him again under a different theory I know it's a waste of time because the Republican senators a couch from you was the only one had any any courage to listen to the evidence that they weren't going to to listen because they're afraid of Donald Trump well I guess we're currently here's my thinking is Terry regardless of whether you think that Donald Trump got away with something or whether you think that this was just a witch hunt or whether you're somewhere in between the one thing that I think you and I both agree on is that continuing to go down this route on this issue especially given the fact that you have a an election it's coming up in what ten months nine months or something I I think would be a waste of time and a waste of spirit I think the people in this country have made up their mind on this and and maybe you know you you think he's guilty of extortion and maybe they proceeded on the wrong theory or or whatever I just I don't think the American people have the stomach for continuing this sort of investigation the Democrats took their shop they they they went after him they try to impeach him they failed and candidly you know on this issue the Ukraine phone call etcetera I don't care what John Bolton has to say at this point time it to the extent that it's not going to change the dynamic and the idea that okay we're going to go back to the house and we're now going to spend more time trying to pursue this even further man it talks about making my head explode and and look I I don't know right now president trump is is on a high that's just the reality his daily tracking polls are higher than they have ever been I think a lot of people are looking at what happened with the Democrats especially in Iowa you see campaigns and and arguably maybe a process of selecting a presidential candidate the right now is in disarray that could all change in a couple weeks but but the idea that we're now going to go back and continue tilting at this particular window I I Windell I think that's where you really do you know get a backlash because I think it's gonna be a lot of people that said it okay enough is enough let's move on and let's focus on first of all can we get anything accomplished in the next nine months and then who's the next president going to be is it going to be Donald Trump for four more years or is it going to be someone else let's talk to Ted Ted you're on WTMJ Chris disagree with you mark yeah I know you will I know those who think like you would like to have a smoke on but as a recovering lawyer at you and all that this was not a legitimate the proceeding because they block the weight that you you know you're gonna spend it otherwise because your Republican but you know that that they needed to bring those witnesses then and everybody wants to hear what they have to say and those who are not with the president don't think we should move on because you know the way he is not a stable genius always on the kind of poke a stick at him because of the reaction to get let's play this out south plate will play this out with me all right so you call you call John Bolton John Bolton comes in and he testified okay will look let's just work with bold Nobleton he testifies like his his the manuscript in his book supposedly said okay the trump was within the room or whatever right then do you want to restart the impeachment proceedings I don't know but I know they should have done it right this time because you can't legitimately that you know you like the claims to quit it he was acquitted because there was matching nations that that made it feel legitimate proceeding play this out with me and then what is the operative question is do I understand you're you're bitter that he he got acquitted I get it do you want to see you do what do you want to see them start the impeachment process all over again because that's the only in the near stop get possibly at some time although I know the strategy and the White House was let's kill at this time and then we'll we'll do just like you're going in our scan will be Hey why call back this will you go back to it because it wasn't done right well it was blocked by the White House well I think the what was it I mean it look it wasn't blocked by the White House Mike Mike my goodness everything is out there the the reality was Donald Trump was never going to be removed from office that that was the politics of it I happen to think that it wasn't an impeachable offense and I I'm I'm comfortable with that I do I think that was a comfortable phone call tonight I think they did everything perfectly of course not but but I guess what's interesting to me is from a political standpoint does this country want to say okay let's spend the next four months and let's go back and let's re litigate what we've just spent the last four or five months doing let's bring back the same witnesses and then let's add a couple more and then we'll we're going to have our different theories and then we're gonna go back I mean really is that where we want to spend our time over the next several months my point is people have already decided you know what they think about the the president and I think it's very clear that okay John Bolton can can come come in and testify that's that's not going to change anybody's opinion that's not going to get to sixty seven votes in the Senate to remove him from office especially as we get closer and closer to the election and if you want to talk about alienating whoever is in the middle meet you in my opinion at least I know the Democrats don't listen to me for campaign advice you go down this route say okay here's what we're going to do we're going to go back and we're going to bring in this guy in this guy and this guy that might be red meat to the hard core base who are angry and bitter or whatever word you would use over the fact that Donald Trump wasn't removed from office but I don't think it's going to appeal to mainstream follow folks who said okay we've had this thing play out for the last few months we are they're happy with the outcome or were not happy with the outcome but now let's focus on the important stuff which is you know what else can we do to make this country better over the course of the next several months and then who's going to be the next leader this is Jeff white board white here right after this attorney Tom Nichols finding an honest skilled lawyer to help guide you business interests is important it's especially important when.

"Jeff Wagner on WTMJ so very glad to have you with us okay sixty three million dollars or thereabouts is gonna be dumped into I just on television spending alone not even talking about radio and other social media sort of stuff all the candidates do it because they think that that's the way that they are going to get votes and you're going to see that play out like I say over the course of the next ten months or so around here you are undoubtedly just going to be inundated because every time you turn on the TV over the next few months there's going to be an ad for some Democrat candidate leading up to the primary in April and then after that I it tell you since Wisconsin is a battleground state you're going to be seeing a ton of political ads on the Republican side on the Democrat side it's some it's going to get I think probably to a point in this happens every contested election where it's almost tough for regular advertisers to get space because the political candidates are are grabbing it all up so the fundamental question is does it work does it make any difference and in my argument has been Candace have to do it but I think for the vast majority of candidates I don't think it sways opinion I mean let's take the presidential election may I think the truth of the matter is people are go kia I I can't imagine if you are a Donald Trump supporter I can't imagine that you're going to see an ad run by Bernie Sanders for example and all of a sudden you say hello I'm seeing the light hi I'm I'm feeling the burn I've watched this advertisement and now I'm going to go switch and I'm going to vote for Bernie over Donald Trump I don't see it happening similarly if you are a Bernie Sanders supporter you're part of that Bernie Sanders revolution you see it even if it's the best produce trump bad the world are you going to watch that are you going to say well Gee now I want to go out I I've I've seen the light I'm going to vote for president trump you know I think by and large the these ads don't move the needle especially in a race where the candidates are very very well known no maybe if it's a situation where you have an unknown who's running against a hunting company or something like that you got to run some of these ads to at least get you some name recognition start that AT breakthroughs of people at least become aware of who you are but once you're talking about a high profile of race like the president it's hard for me to see how this changes does that mean you don't run ads no it doesn't mean you don't run ads because here's the real value of my my of the ads the ads in many cases they're not done for the undecideds what they're really done is for the base of support I mean if you are a Bernie Sanders supporter and you know you're listening to the radio or you're watching TV and you don't see anything from your candidate and all you see is attack ads from the other side or whatever you're going where you get you start to get depressed you get angry where's my guy why isn't he why is he responding that does the fact he's not responding mean they think the election's over when you run ads I think they're directed as much towards the base as anyone else because you know you you get fired up Hey I'm a supporter of the present high I mean I yeah there there's the trump bad yeah they're responding they're fighting fire with fire they're not taking this lying down when the other side's running all these different campaigns political advertising a lot of times I don't believe it's necessarily designed to move undecideds especially in races where the lines are drawn as clearly as this what they're trying to do is motivate their supporters motivate their base show that there's a campaign show the campaign has a polls and encourage people to get out and vote so if you say all they're they're not going to change opinions yeah they might not change opinions but the ads aren't necessarily intended to do that they're intended to get you even more firmly entrenched and if you're a truck driver Bernie guy on Elizabeth ward Geyer Joe Biden guy or whatever get you to go out and vote for them it's twelve "Say we do painting you do life Jeff Wagner on WTMJ we are back interesting political story there's a state senators name is Dave Hanson's a Democrat out of Green Bay Inc and he's been there for a long time he's announced that he's seventy two years old he's announced that he he's retiring is not running for reelection which what's this seat very much in play it it's a it's a seat that probably is a Republican leaning seat I would say but Dave Hanson is we've been there for a long time he's getting a royal and he's you know he's been reelected he's a known commodity now that is an open seat I think it's it's probably a toss up or maybe it's a likely leans Republican seat in this district so interestingly enough Democrats scrambling to see who they're going to come up with and so apparently one of the guys that's moving forward is Jonathan Hansen who as it turns out is the nephew of David Hanson so you know you have one of these the legacy things that that's going on the guys alderman from alderman from the pier and he's the father decided that he wants to follow in his uncle's footsteps which is all well and good but I I do always think back to some of the issues member we had these concerns when there was a discussion about whether or not Scott Walker's children one of his kids Matt was gonna run for for Congress and there was all this hand wringing in there was all this concern about all my gosh is this going to be is this this legacy you know we we have multiple generations of of politicians you know trying to run and then the same argument was out there when mark Newman son I believe that was mad as well he was thinking about running for Congress and ultimately decided not to you heard all this the whole we think this is bad for you know that the kids of the existing politicians to run well okay if that's the case is there going to be out rage when Dave Hanson's nephew decides to run war has decided to run we'll see it's twelve thirty let's go to the WTMJ breaking news center here is Melissa mark thank you Jeff some supporters of president trump lined up downtown starting last night to make sure they would have a spot inside the UW Milwaukee Panthers arena that's where he's hosting a rally tonight the president making his first twenty twenty appearance in the state he's also counter programming the box game which starts at seven o'clock tonight also downtown at Pfizer form and the accredit presidential hopefuls debate that is in neighboring Iowa tonight I keep it to WTMJ for updates from downtown starting at three o'clock this afternoon on Wisconsin's afternoon news and meanwhile the house is expected to vote tomorrow to send the articles of impeachment against president trump to the Senate speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi met privately today at the capital with her democratic caucus to discuss the time table airline says it's taking the Boeing seven thirty seven Max out of its schedule for two more months until early June and that means American it will cancel nearly twenty thousand flights in its first five plus months of.

"Call here's WTMJ is Jeff Wagner four one four seven nine nine one six twenty Jeff the text to me they are essentially the same as legal immigrants I will talk about the dreamers seven eight hundred thousand people in regards the contributions to the U. S. and self sufficiency to deport them from the only homeland they have known seems like a losing proposition again I I understand the legal issue that the legal issue is the present Congress would not in act this is a law president Obama did this is an executive order and some people don't think you have the authority to do it but that aside if Obama created this program is an executive order shouldn't trump have the right to rescind the executive order and and commit candidly I find that to be a pretty compelling legal argument but that's that's the legal argument that's not saying you know what what should we do with seven or eight hundred thousand people who came into this country as young people brought in by their parents illegally but they they were money were young people and they've gone through high school they are now living here they're not creating problems are these the people that we want to spend time deporting Vincent on the northwest side visit your first hello good afternoon yeah hi first of all if if the Supreme Court not doctor down or or or the says that the president has the right to do that the fact is we're not going to we are going to deport that many people it's just not gonna happen well you wouldn't think we would support that many of those type of people I know that you know me I if I were prioritizing I got to tell you that the people that have registered under this circumstance they would they would be the last number of people that I would want to deport that there's got to be a lot more people are in this country illegally that are creating problems than the dreamers they are reporting part of this economy the fact is that doctors lawyers police officers the fact is that that the fact is we had better is it exactly that would be basically automatically a look that is illegal the fact is you have them document the fact these individual documents prepared taxes it is and that sort and now you're going to put this to you got basically put people there allow them to say where they're going to go underground that's exactly what's going to happen and use it and it and the fact that this country is not in the mood to sit around and go up to the fact is the gang of eight plan I think this is the path is as far as immigration the concert helping government about what they did when they did this but the fact is we hear I think it should stand there because we do it in a class the class if they go out at the that do that yeah I can I can and and that's the and that's that the policy of this and get I I appreciate that the legal argument putting on my you know recovering lawyer hat I I understand the argument the argument is president Obama didn't have the authority to do this after Congress said no you shouldn't be able to do this by executive order I am sympathetic to that I I I am and it also seems to me that if you created by executive order you should go get rid of it by executive order but that's not to say whether the policy is good or bad Jeff I agree with you prioritize resources by removing the criminal elements then focus on obtaining legal citizenship the right way Jeff I would let them stay another text also with the caveat that they can demonstrate that they also have health insurance but the same time I would also putting a stop to let them attend public school get drivers licenses set for now keep in mind most of these people registers the dreamers they're they're out of there they're out of school I mean this is there they they've been here for a period of time they're out of school they're serving in a productive capacity and again I also appreciate the fact that you know we we don't want this to look like a amnesty I mean kill president trump from what I understand was was ready to just sign off on this and then a number of advisers said well okay you have to understand this is going to alienate your base people going to consider this to be amnesty and and so they he decided to go the other way I I just I I appreciate we have a problem with the border we have a problem with illegal immigration the the seven hundred thousand people though aren't the ones that I am particularly concerned with four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that's accurate mortgage talk and text line Jeff so to me they are simply the same as legal immigrants in regards to the contributions to the U. S. and self sufficiency to deport them from the only homeland they have known seems to me like a losing proposition I guess I would say that as well take off the recovering lawyer had tried to put on a good public policy hat and and you get a different result a like I say who knows with the supreme court's going to do this this might be a victory for the trump administration saying a legally you can do it but even if that's the case I hope somebody reconsiders whether this is where we want to spend our resources to say and.

"Wagner broadcasting live from the Wisconsin state fair so glad to have you with us all right we go to calls couple texture my husband and I were at the game the fall corn with your repeating and annoying there has to be something better Jeff I agree to follow corn sucks don't come in and try to change things just because your new if it isn't broken don't fix it that's in me from Waukesha Jeff it sounds like it's strictly an animal how annoying it's heather in west band let's see here is instead of the fog or use a cow bell again I I don't know okay let's see Dayton says the horn will inspire the offense it's so annoying the offense will always get a first down at first or second down in order to avoid hearing it there could be that four one four seven nine nine one six twenty let's start with bill in Silver Lake bill your first and W. T. M. J. hello order from all time fan long time factor for him love your show okay thanks thank you for calling appreciate it what do you think I tell you what I heard that I heard that stupid fog horn and I thought my TV was broken so I don't have I don't buy a new one so you get made you get up to like like like bang the TV and think I got a call the repair person something's wrong with it was coming out of the TV set I would rather movie review back what the heck is this stupid Norris yeah the birth noise in that stadium is the one the Packer fans yet go on and I think that's the noise that the team was to hear that some noise that everybody wants to hear and that's the noise that they should be looking for thanks to call yeah I think they call it the an artificial thing that's a rip off of the Vikings porn and and it's actually it's a lousy rip off of that I guess I go back to the thing to look I I I'm always open to trying new stuff and I appreciate if the if the new head coach thinks the crowd at Lambeau field is unnecessarily quiet but again what whatever happened to go pack go I mean I've been there and I hear the people like go Pat go that I think is a lot better than this this horn let's talk to Pat in Beloit Pat you're a W. T. M. J. hello yeah I agree with a hundred percent yeah your spot on with that go pack though the corner so annoying I left the middle of the fourth quarter I I couldn't take it anymore it was very annoying I've been going to games since I'm a full package member going back to the county stadium day itself I've heard a lot of not heard anything like this before did you know what what he did you know what it was at first I mean you know that there was supposed to like inspire the crowd well I didn't think it did that I didn't I I knew it was some type of alarm from a ship or something but I didn't know what really was relevant to the right yeah I mean look and and I understand like you go to you gotta brewers games I don't know if they still do it and I don't think they still do it but there used to be a time where you know they they have the the charge music you know that that the whatever charge in a road you all that I mean that was kind of inspirational the fog horn I I don't know number of people are saying it sounds like a large ship passing gas or something I don't know about that but he doesn't strike me is exactly the thing that's going to get people on their feet cheering in red and cheering on the team wait for somebody to call into a trumpet something to do with this yeah we're we're gonna blame twelve for that Packer says you know that thanks for the call absolutely we you know we're we're gonna we're gonna blame trump Pam in Sheboygan pannier WTMJ good afternoon hi there I can't I would have a lot right and I will tell you everyone around me I hated that seems like we're trying to copy the Viking something which we do not want to and if you or an act and I also noticed that the entire game I only heard all packed all that what inspired by the sounds great in and I wanted to and I think the players and he has a and that as a band but annoying noise everybody around here right yeah I you know and I I guess I mean the look I understand that sometimes we we we all we have a reaction to new stuff and sometimes you sit you say okay well maybe if I hear this more maybe it's going to grow on me I don't think that one's going to grow on me and I don't think it's going to grow one pack of nation I I I kind of think that that that sort of I would describe it is kind of a swing and a miss yeah absolutely there was not one okay thanks to call Pam I again and I'd look at it yeah I preach in trying to to try different stuff but it seems to me the standard should be okay if our typical thing to Rev up the crowd is you know with the with the scoreboard to make some noise and then goal packed goal goal Paco okay if that's the standard and if the new coach doesn't think that gets the crowd jazzed up enough all right I'm okay maybe wanna try different things but again that that fall corn I mean the the the noise though the horn on the USS Green Bay makes a minister I sense topical is that the U. S. as Green Bay but all right there's all sorts of noises that you could probably tie into you know Green Bay that isn't necessarily the type of thing you're going to play to inspire the team for third down until we got to a dairy farm and get a cal moving would you do that four one four seven nine nine one six twenty Dave on the side Dave or W. T. M. J. I am well thank you okay were you motivated by that and now I heard it I thought it was a cold is he you took the words right out of my mouth it is right up there I'm a market fan as well as I know you are with them coming up in a room and coming up with the gold fifteen or twenty years ago absolutely I'm pretty level if the rip off of the Vikings it sounds terrible and dom so if the U. F. F. green base of the USS John McCain the what what what's the difference I matter and it felt blog warned that has nothing whatsoever to do with Green Bay or the Packer or football and if anything for it flattens out the crowded sounds like flatulence and at the White it's not that it's like like words it was a start and all and it leaves the Vikings yeah yeah I listed my the Vikings noise that Viking horned it elite you can understand where people as as annoying as I find it where people it would get people up and cheer this is just fall corner okay would you the direct connection who the Vikings were bad appointment that I didn't like me at the back of them with your direct connection the worst thing though if you have a new call we've been here about two minutes who haven't done anything any basically criticizing the fan about are we clear enough are we love not are we wow Hey that's a little too early to criticize the band when you haven't done anything you want you want the family yeah win game yeah I know I actually you know I agree with I agree with you completely I think thanks to call a and actually that was that's what I was kind of thinking I mean look I I've been to Lambeau field and yes there are times I think the crowd's been unnecessarily quiet but generally speaking those are times where the Packers team is is not playing well they're playing flat you know when when you have that the team that's a cheating on the field it's a very loud all took place the the coaches this is the coach's statement Hey I just want anything that's going to get the fans out of their seats and make it a true home field advantage remember where all the all those years nobody want to play at Lambeau field against the Packers because of that okay so here's what he says Hey I just want anything that's gonna get fans other seat make a true home field advantage I don't care what it is if you've got an idea will take it my idea would be co pack gold it's something we've all been talking about how do we get this to be a tremendous home field advantage and get the crowd off their feet and just make it a nightmare for opposing offenses you know and and then he goes on to talk about the way it is in other statements in other stadium tonight that the bottom line is maybe I agree with the last caller when a bunch of games and then you see you're not gonna need artificial means to get the fans excited at Lambeau field play crummy football and all the four corners in the world aren't going to make any difference but if any of you who like me we're listening to your radio or watching this on TV and you were wondering you know what is this bleating noise that's going on there well no it wasn't anything wrong with your radio there wasn't anything wrong with your television set it was the Packers coach and the marketing people thinking that the fans at Lambeau field aren't into the games another off and need to have a poor person's ripoff of the Minnesota Vikings noise in order to get excited I I don't think we're giving Packers fans another credit this is Jeff quicker were broadcasting live from the Wisconsin state fair stick around don't.
