Local health officials in Gaza said there's been intense bombing and presence of military vehicles near hospitals. Former President George W. Bush said while images of the fighting are bad, he believes goodness will prevail. Yeah, the images are grim. And yes, there's violence. But ultimately, love overcomes hate. Bush gave those comments while hosting his annual bike ride today to benefit injured veterans in Texas. Meantime, New York's Grand Central Terminal is closed at this hour, shut down by protests. The MTA confirmed the closure. WABC -TV reports they're pro -Palestinian protesters and that arrests may be coming. The Department of Education is preparing to send out secret shoppers to student loan providers. On Friday, the department announced a new accountability plan to hold loan servicers accountable. The plan uses a combination of data gathering, borrower complaints, and first -hand monitoring to ensure people are treated fairly by student loan companies. The man was identified by police as Omar Marrero and charged with two colonies, according to CBS news. And I'm walking around, I mean they got a mall, like an outdoor mall, and I mean a high ... I'm walking all through the mall. That's when you know you're old, when you're just like walking through the mall, do the mall walking. It's six o 'clock in the morning. But it's a ... I'm not kidding you, if it weren't for the time difference, I would come out here all the time. I'm telling you. I totally get it, and you're up in the middle of the night to make this show. Lisa and Ethan and Regina and I went out there probably 14, 15 years ago, stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado, which is beautiful and historic, also apparently haunted, which is fun. That's a nice little bit. But my other San Diego story is 19 ... What were you doing radio -wise in 1996? I was just starting in Albany, I guess it was in upstate New York. No, no, no, no, WABC. Okay. WABC. WABC. Did you cover the Bob Dole, Jack Kemp Republican Convention? Of course I did. I've been to every Republican convention for 100 years. That's what I was ... This is so wild, because before we had any concept of each other, we were both ... Well then, do you remember what I remember? The beauty of San Diego, and the time zone interestingness, because what is every convention designed to be? A TV show. So what would happen is the convention would ... This again, we all knew. We all knew Clinton was going to win. We loved Bob Dole, we really loved Jack Kemp, just et cetera, but it's like, okay, this is great. We do what we do, but Clinton ain't going to lose, but we're here, let's have a good time. And boy did everybody, because it's easy to do in a great town like San Diego. So we gathered, and the convention would gavel, and I'm just dripping with credentials of every type, and the convention would gavel into order at like four, because it was designed to be on TV and wrap up by 10 or 11 o 'clock Eastern time. So the convention was over every night at nine, giving every single delegate an entire full evening to party like rock stars.

people like Mike Pence and Bill Barr and you go down the list uh you know it's I had a mild disagreement yesterday look at the position that DeSantis is put in DeSantis wants to to win the nomination so he's competing against Trump by the same token he's got to acknowledge the horrors of a weaponized justice department and an attempt to interfere and well well they don't all I mean I know I know but but he's doing that and he and so I give him credit and Seb took me to task because he said that that DeSantis is being disingenuous so this is a what how how disingenuous how well he doesn't believe it he he says that he's only doing it out of political expediency so it seems to me and I listen you're not going to find a bigger Seb Gorka fan than me nor nor nor I but but that but come on and there's another interesting thing coming from the cauldron of maga ferocity and that is that when DeSantis came out over the last couple of days and said look when I'm president I'm you're going to get a new FBI director I'm going to bring the weaponization of law enforcement to an end we're going to root through everybody that does this to people and we're going to get rid of them and a lot of folks said huh what what a wimp what a weenie what a weasel there's nothing is satisfactory nothing is satisfactory short of an absolute pledge to pardon Trump it's like okay uh all right what whatever dudes I mean it's I mean which which Vivek has done and by the way and Vivek excuse me 30 seconds I'm sorry I'm yammering Vivek is evidence that you can indeed you can indeed run your own campaign and say I should be president while at the very same time say that Trump is getting unfairly screwed they're not mutually exclusive go ahead you know Ron DeSantis is viewed as the primary challenger to Trump and he really is in a damned if he does damned if he does in situation if he goes scorched earth like Mike Pence and Chris Christie are doing of course he completely alienates maga world it doesn't make any sense whatsoever and and incidentally he's got a win over I I've got to talk a real hard truth here and this is the hard thing to accept but I I think Trump is up to what 73 counts he could very well be convicted on many of them certainly some of them and guess what he you got you got a Fulton county sheriff uh look him up right off you tweeted this you tweeted this yesterday and I retweeted it go ahead this is awesome this is great it's it's this guy thinks it's it's clever to brag about taking a mug shot of Trump when the Georgia charges are filed and oh yes the Georgia charges are coming as well and of course you look you look this sheriff up he's a Democrat oh shocker you know you know so so this is the what I mean by the pile on I we may be helpless to stop a lot of this you get involved in somebody getting their mug shot and incidentally what a stupid thing to brag about the mug you're gonna take a mug shot of the most famous face in the world well you know he will smile he may give the thumbs up which they won't let him do but so there are some people uh tom delay uh maybe some other folks who have taken their mug shot as an opportunity to do an olin mills glamour shot and just smile and make it look like it was something they did on purpose and they turned the mug shot into a positive but we have to accept listen the only chance we've got is the supreme court listen this is what's going to happen and now you got this hand -picked judge who they're pretending was randomly selected she's an Obama appointee who worked in the boys law firm with David Boies who is a Democrat activist I mean you can't make this crap up so clearly she's been giving jail sentences to people that the government didn't even ask for jail time surrounding January 6th that's how off the charts she is so what do you think she's going to do to the uh to the to the man himself I mean believe me the only chance we've got is the supreme court how long will that take and how long will that take I mean the trial the trial the trials themselves are going to move at a glacier's pace probably and then you got to run it through it doesn't go immediately to the supreme court it goes to an appeals level first at least one and then so what does that do the voter but what does that do to the voter mark I'll tell you what it does to some voters it do you know exactly what it does to some it says you know what you're you're gonna I'm gonna make him president again and make you like it us ob's we are going to put him in the presidency we don't care if he's going to jail in jail in the yard doing exercise time eating grits for breakfast we're going to make him president united states and make you people make you people eat what you have done and you've you've perfectly articulated how you and I feel that's for sure frankly I mean but I guarantee you there will be people for whom that's going to be a bridge too far and and there's nothing we can do about that I I can try to convince people you can try to convince people Ron DeSantis can try to convince people that the weaponization of the justice department has to be stopped all those are well and good when you've got the system this goes back to Chuck Schumer you know you don't take on the intelligence community you don't take on the system and when you do they have a way to coming back and getting you and and and I don't know I don't I don't know where this ends the Supreme Court obviously could throw it all out it could be thrown out on on appellate review I mean this is a contrary to what the left is now trying to to to counter with this is about state of mind this is about free speech this is about go ahead and give me because I'm reading the New York Times Mark play play devil's advocate with me their argument is and Bill Barr's argument is oh yeah you have free speech you can have an opinion that the 2020 election was rigged but you're not allowed to conspire to stop right the transfer of power what does that mean like tell me about it what what do they think he did do do this do you think that they want to convince us that he had some secret network where he was telling people to go riot what he he literally told them to go peacefully protest how are they how do you but be bit but did you're a smart guy take their side what are they going to argue how do they say Trump conspired to do a criminal act on January 6th what did he do he marshaled every resource at his control using advice from attorneys who Mike Pence now refers to as crackpots to say look there is a way to do this to cast enough legal and constitutional doubt on the incoming electoral votes that they should not be brainlessly rubber stamped if Mike Pence wants to say I can't unilaterally brush those away okay but as the presiding officer he could have hit a pause button and said look we got 18 states banging at the door asking questions I'm not going to accept it I'm not grand poobah of I won is all of a sudden now identified in this indictment of somebody really if you if you if you hook him up to a lie detector he knows he lost they are high as a kite well the star witness according to Axios is Mike Pence he's the potential star witness he's coming out swinging and he supposedly took copious notes so can you imagine this I can see this coming no recording no climb into this lonely treehouse with Chris Christie and Will Hurd start hating on Trump so that at least if I'm gonna get blown off a debate stage I can at least be spoken well of for a couple of days on CNN well speaking of the debate stage red state leads an article today saying it is unlikely that president Trump will attend the Milwaukee debate in a couple weeks says who and what do they know well I know that Trump meant with Fox news executives yesterday apparently had dinner with them they're trying to win him over no but they are well I don't know I mean I listen I at this point how can he not be on that debate stage that's what I think I'll believe he's not there when I see him not there I really would respectfully say that would be a mistake for him to not go because then because you know what will happen then well one of two things can happen let's let's go down this path right they'll either make Trump the content of the debate without him which means he'll be there without being there exactly or or they will shrewdly barely mention him and if they shrewdly barely mention him yeah then that becomes uh destructive for his campaign because then then the process begins of sort of forgetting about getting getting turning the page getting turning the page he gets lost in the shadows he's he's becoming irrelevant blah blah blah and that's so that's why he's got to go he's got to be there and you know we're going to be covering it extensively across our platforms you know here at Salem I mean what is it august the 23rd right yep here we go in Milwaukee Well, mutual friend, Jerry Crowley, after I ran for mayor in 2013. Jerry has dinner with me and says, John, a lot of people like you that want to hear you. You made a lot of good points when you're running for mayor. You should have your own radio show. So Jerry, put me on 9 70 in New York. And you know, you know, Jerry, nobody could say no to Jerry. I said, okay, I'll do an hour. Then it's two hours. Then it's three hours. That is four hours. And it didn't stop. And then the only time, the only time I yelled, he only time I yelled at Jerry, was the fact when W OR was sold and Jerry used to work that. And one of the most passionate, genuine people I've ever met in the industry. Eric, the trainer is in the house. What's up? Whoa. Thank you, Reihan for having me on. It means so much to be here with you. And the great Dr V. I mean, that guy to be around him is so motivating and inspiring it. Everyone loves this guy. Yeah, well, listen, we love you, Eric. I tell you that for sure. We love Dr B. But I'll tell you this when I walk into your gym, I feel like if I call it like the the energy boost, like Turbo charged, you get, like amped up. You know what I mean? Where did this all this positive motivation energy. Where do you derive all that from? I mean, I think I try to lead with my heart. And I love what I do. And I spend time with some of the greatest artists in Hollywood. Whether it's an actor or a musician or a director. It's exciting for me to go to work every single day and work with the greatest artists that we know. And so I jump out of bed. I mean, I'm motivated, inspired, ready to go. And I learned at the foot of Jack Lalane. He was my mentor. I was his final apprentice before he passed away and he might have left this earth. But he is alive and well in my heart to this moment, and so he was on a mission that concluded, But I have continue that mission to help people to reach my hand out and be an ambassador of health and fitness. So it's an honor. It's an honor to do what I do. Yeah, your true embodiment of That of helping people achieve success. I mean, looking at you right now. I feel like doing some pushups. I mean, this is crazy. Awesome. I'm um, Now you have a really interesting, interesting journey through fitness. Uh, you started off not in Hollywood, but in a far away place called Main. Tell us about your famous journey. Main is like a modern day tattoo in from Star wars. I mean, it's sort of a barren place where there are all kinds of crazy for the Yeah, It's pretty crazy. I grew up on a farm. Main, We had sheep. We had pigs. We even had a donkey. And, uh, you know, I I knew that I wanted to live in a place where there were palm trees and fast cars and beautiful girls, and it's great to live in Los Angeles. I ended up in New York City after college. I was a trainer in New York for five years. But really all of the world of fitness that matters radiates out of Los Angeles and so coming out here and being part of that scene and getting a chance to work with celebrities It's a blast. It's so much fun, and it's a mission that will not stop. I can't wait. What? What I always ask people is when you were doing it. You were grinding. You were coming up your inspiring people in your fitness journey. Did you expect to be sort of the legendary figure you are now or But it was a kind of unexpected, like, Wow, I made it here. This is crazy. No, I I never expected to to achieve any notoriety at all. As a matter of fact, I wanted to place myself in a place of service and I wanted to be of service to others. And in New York City. I had that opportunity. I trained Broadway stars and I trained fashion people, and I trained just people in New York that worked really, really hard. And the New York work ethic really translates well to Los Angeles. If you can make it in New York City in the Big Apple, and you come out to Los Angeles, people look at you and say Like, what? What's the hurry? What's the urgency? I mean that New York work ethic has really served me well here in L. A Wow. Um Mohammed Ali said that the service to others is the rent. You pay to be here on Earth. So you're embodiment of that as well. Um, Now you worked with some of the top celebrities and rock stars and all those things. How is it like the experience to work with them? What are some of the challenges? How do you overcome them? Like, what Is it like Being a top celebrity trainer? You know, I would. I would agree with what Dr V started to talk about. And that is the mindset starts to dominate how the body acts. And so if you're in the Right mindset. You can go through life and express yourself as an artist and and meet success. But without that correct mindset, the body starts to break down. I mean, even looking at the music industry itself. A lot of people used to make a lot of money from selling records and record sales and CD sales and tape cells have gone away. So musicians, especially professional musicians, rock stars, rappers, they make their money from live performances, and that schedule can be quite grinding. Yes, so my my job is more important than ever to get them. Into shape to get them motivated and inspired to really be able to deliver that high level of artistry and then to stay with them on the road and create a lifestyle where they're eating the right foods. They're going to bed at a reasonable hour. They're getting great sleep and they're ready to go The next day. A lot of workouts, big workouts, big workers, no doubt about it. Now, When I see your clients, they have a very amazing symmetrical like Crazy. Awesome look, and it's interesting. Even doctor be looking at you. Thank you. I was looking at Dr B. When I said that, but seriously, they like literally the clients I've seen you transform. They have an amazing cool, symmetrical look, and I've seen you with some of your unique exercises you come up with, like I would say you got more moves than U haul. I mean, it's it's crazy. More moves than Excel. Access is crazy, but I think when I see you with your philosophy of training, how do you come up with some of these unique exercise? Guys that make people really transform and look like superheroes. Well, I studied the golden era of bodybuilding, and one of the things I became obsessed with was the shoulder to waist ratio in men s golden ratio. Yeah, And so the smaller the waste, the broader the shoulders, The sharper the John line. If you want to boil it down. I wanted most of my clients that were mailed to look like Tarzan and I wanted my female clients to look like Jane and Jane does not go to the gym. So the very hard The very hallmark of my female clientele is they looked like they had never been to the gym..

You're very welcome. So from very, very cutting edge lighting theory and gaming and movies. Let's go to something far more simple. The smart mirror. Mike tell us about that Theodore Vanity Mirror is a is a very unique, very great product where we've built the light source in and around the mirror itself. Biden Administration Sound Alarm Over U.N. Climate Report and Urge Swift Action
"President, Biden says we need to keep an eye out on the climate and the environment. He issued a dire warning on Monday after a bombshell. United Nations report on climate change came out. It claims that global warming is already causing extreme weather. And the world will heat up by 2.7 degrees by the year 2040. That's actually a decade sooner than originally thought. This news comes amid record heatwaves and wildfires and flooding all around the world, including here in the United States. Scientists say the Arctic is likely to be ice free before the year. 2050 and experts say the only possible saving Greece would be cutting emissions of greenhouse gases. The president warned that doing nothing is only adding to the problem, which he calls a crisis.

Yeah, so your insurance company can definitely help you with this. They're going to look at the size of the home the quality of the home the cost to rebuild the home where you live, the materials used in your home. All of those are going to go into the value to rebuild the property or to repair the properties and appraiser. Can also help you with that. If maybe you don't believe what the insurance companies telling you, you think it's too high or too low? You can definitely get an appraiser to help you understand what the not the market value, but the actual replacement of the cost of that structure would be next up Laura, a question that strikes fear into every home owner's heart. And that is when your insurance agent says how much of a deductible do you want? I mean, obviously, if you go high, your premium is less. If you go low, Your premium is higher. But there's less out of pocket. What's your advice? If you are a good saver, and you would feel comfortable showing out 3000, maybe even more if you had to make a claim. And I definitely recommend going higher. You know that is going to save you money on premiums over many, many years. But if you're not a good favor, and you don't typically keep whole lot around, that's you know something that you're going to need to really bureau ballistic about and you want to have a lower deductible. So you know, be realistic about what she's got. I'd say $500 is the most common deductible. But if you can even push that up to $1000, that's going to.
