"United States, but we've had them from all over the world. Bad breath is generally caused by an infection is caused by bacteria of that large, typically in a certain part of the tongue, and we have a number of tests to see if people really have bad breath because a lot of people think they have bad breath, But in reality, they don't have it. They just put their mouth taste funny or they're convinced they have it and very often they do, but very often. They don't have it. But they imagining that have it. So the first thing you want to do is determine if they really have bad breath or not. And we have three different tests that we run to determine whether they have bad breath or not, And the bad breath treatment takes about an hour. It's very, very thorough. We way remove and eliminate all of these bad breath causing bacteria. We teach the patient then how to make sure that these bad breath bacteria are gone. And also give them something that will kill any of these bad breath bacteria, and it's amazing. It's like turning off a faucet. You don't even have morning breath. Once your bad breath is treated, you continue treating it. And you just don't have bad breath ever again. After that, it's quite remarkable. And then it's basically gone forever. Right once it's gone forever. Unless you have onions, garlic or go on a strong diet shows can cause it. Otherwise it's gone. And so that's basically that's also one time treatment that you're doing so one trying treatment as wonderful. Well, we're out of time tonight and that wraps it up for the Doctor Nemeth Radio Show on News Talk. 7 60 wjr sponsored.

"Welcome back to WJR is building Michigan. We continue our conversation tonight with Steve Klay. Well, the president of the Michigan building, and construction trades council, and Ed coleco, the statewide director of Michigan's helmets to hardhats and tell us about your time in the service. What was your passion? What did you do really well? Well, I, I don't know that. I did anything really well. But I was always myself with people that did really well. As part of the game though, isn't it? That said joined in the late eighty joined the reserves and transition into the guard always been in artillery, or the military. Police had a couple of deployments one in two thousand seven eight and one in two thousand fifteen sixteen both of the Middle East. The second one was was probably my most proud, I commanded a high Mars unit, and we had extensive service in three different countries. My passion has always been the leader of an officer has always been training, troops and make sure everybody's ready for battle. And we had the ability to experience that twice in really prove that what we did really work. And so now when I'm working trying to get servicemembers who haven't really potentially had the opportunities that I had are we had attempt to capitalize on them really to bring them out bring them into this world. It's not a new world but it's the world I think we've often overlooked lead. We've pulled all of our kids nowadays and k twelve you know. Get ready for college go to college and really make something of yourself, and we skipped over the skilled trade, which really is an opportunity that we're not looking past anymore. And I think the K twelve starting to do a job there in the military service of out of these people went through their K, twelve not thinking about the skill Twitter trade. So I think we're opening up there, I to this new career possibility really the earning potential that they have to the program is outstanding. They've got the GI Bill to mass, some of their wages and even give them up to what a journeyman would make during many years of their apprenticeship. There's no experience required. Even though experience help you don't have to ST set earlier, just that military experience. They get through going through the rain is what really after in the benefits package and killed trades in Michigan is outstanding with medical retirement pension, so enable to, you know, whenever you're a salesman and you have the best product, there's nothing better. So I really feel that in selling the this product that skilled trades. And the apprenticeship program to our vets who really may not know, or maybe they do go on, I can help them in any way to get there quicker. That's really what drives me in every day for me. Some days are so busy. I don't even know what I'm doing after write down notes, and look and see. But boy, is it fun. And Steve mentioned earlier to he said, even if we just one person's life, and I've had a couple of experiences so far people have contacted me back and said, I what we've done has changed their life. So it's not just a metric fame in the numbers. It's a metric seen any individual somewhat subjective opinions of the veterans that were helping in it sounds like you have a real passion for this job, obviously comes through the veterans, doesn't it? It does. You know, I think in general the veterans are there because they serve their country. They feel they got to do something to help our great country continue on its path through history. And when you're going to help, a veteran tumbled doing that double ten so helping there's nothing about it really than helping veterans Steve. Think we we forgot about you. We haven't, you're also tell us about your service experience, and what brought you into the trades. Yeah. So you know, I was in eighteen year old that had an interest in the traits. I had just a very limited opportunity for exposure, but I served on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower aircraft carrier in my time in in the navy. I wasn't electricity. So it really provided me an opportunity to really validate that, you know, I wanted to continue my path in the exposure that I had in the construction trade. And, you know, electrical was something that I was always very interested in again, had very limited opportunity for exposure. But you know, as many veterans would say those were the good days, you know, I learned a lot about a pathway in the construction trades being electric, and I also learned a lot about myself as a person, and that if you want to get something you need to work hard to get in meet your goals. Now when you transition from being a veteran to being a civilian construction person there was no hardhats to helmets. Did you have trouble making the jump? Well, it, it wasn't definitely the pathway that we currently have, in place, you know, being electric, I was kind of out on my own. I came home and look for individuals and companies that were specifically looking for electricity. Some of my military experience was useful. Some of it was not. But I believe that the doors that were opened to me where because of my military service and walk us through your process when you were vet how was the reception to what you were doing. Well, when I when I transitioned back, you know, being in the guard or reserves my career, I was active duty for training, or for a couple of deployment, and we did have a transition process outside of that. Deployment say talks about jobs and, and, and if you weren't fully employed or unemployed in what we can do about that. So so might experience to that. It was nothing out of the ordinary, I would say I can't say that being in the garden reserves for over thirty years. I didn't hear much about the helmets hard hats program, and I think that's why we're making those inroads now to get into in front of those guard and reserve troops. But when a soldier our service, number rather does reach out through the system or if they tried to get into the system and they can't even register if they've each out, just by contacting me, I naval to get with them. Now this is a Michigan situation. So I'm able to meet within that they want, if not by phone, or by Email, I'll come out to their house, and go through help them. Register bring my. Computer, right with me. I've got admin rights, the website so I can fix any mistakes. They Don or get past their, their password, because a lot of times, they forget the password, I can help them with that. And I've also put together kind of a portfolio of all the different options that they had in the different trades. And so, again, depending on their skill set. We may line him up with two or three different trades. They haven't thought of but also with how what the trade needs are right now? There's some trade that are looking for people right away and other trade looking for people right away, or there may be an apprenticeship starting up in a in a month or maybe not one starting up for a year. So depending on the service members need as well with how they're doing with their family and just life in general, it, it's almost a custom fit for every person that comes through. And again that one on one approach, we have really helped them settle in, in, in sometimes a prophet, take a month or two and were able to give them kind of that thought that okay, somebody's got my back there, helping me through this. I'm gonna steady in this program and get it done. A lot of times in my experience. You asked me Maxine earlier. We, we make those initial inquiries, and then we kind of let it die in the vine. And we, we wake up someone gets back with us. So I'm able to get back with keep pushing the envelope. And again from Minnesota. That's one thing that we hear has been very successful for them and they keep lists as I'm doing. So they'll touch back with their service numbers in a month in two months, and three months and find out what they're doing how they're doing if they haven't done anything continue to problem towards looking for that career in the skilled trades, but it's going to be reassuring for a veteran to know that they've got somebody like you to talk to, to find out how it's going, I think that's part of the help. Yeah, they know they're not alone. Somebody's got their sick. Steve. We heard it can be confusing for a veteran returning from service to connect when the new job. How do you feel hardhats to helmets kinda helps that? Well, I think it gives them a path. That's not a brochure again. It's not an answering service. It's not a website. It's at Cleal and, you know, being able to make that personal touch having the opportunity for that veteran to tell his story, what his interests are. I think that, that really provides a foundation for what we're hoping to do into the future in that is, providing that one on one touch to custom fit veterans into careers. We got just sixty seconds left, actually, I'll take that back. We have thirty seconds left and how can we contact you can I'll say it quick? It's kind of funny, but after the Frank Beckmann show when he asked me, that's my sister called me in. I said, well, what what's up season? I just wanted.

"Welcome to WJR's healthy woman show, I may at Thomas and now I get to interview one of my favorite people in all of the Detroit community Tony Michaels. Welcome to the show. And thank you for having the end up one of your favorite your. Yes. Tony is the president and CEO of the parade company. And we spend a lot of time together. Tony, we work on the parade together and coming out. We are going to be working on the fireworks. Here we are. Twenty four fireworks, light up, Detroit probably bigger and better than ever before. And I know you say that every year in every year it ends up being bigger and better than ever before. But tell everyone why, why bigger and better this year tone, we, here's the parade company, we just believe that, you know, our job is to do great things for the people of Detroit and the surrounding region. So we challenge ourselves every single year to add things, make things bigger make them boulder. So this show, we've added more fireworks, within the twenty four minute period and really, really jammed it in so you're going to see something. I we like to say it's the best in the country, and it very well might be that's how much we put into this twenty four minute show that you're gonna love him user work on that for about four months, and it completely choreographed to the music. So listeners if you're somewhere and watching. From St. pick your radio internet WJR right in Lutely talk a little bit about the start time in how this all works. Tony beginning at nine fifty five. When it's very, very dark out, we have gone a bit earlier in the past due to incoming storms, you know, in bad, weather, and so on. But we're set at nine fifty five, it's be very dark. It's twenty four minutes show goes through cracks me, ten twenty Tony give our listeners some inside information and some of the best viewing spots, you know, you've mentioned Val, I l Hart plaza any place around the run is a great place to watch the fireworks. But what about some insider tips on what time should you really get down there? And what should you bring and should you worry about the traffic and the freeway closings? Well, I'll tell you the earlier the better especially if you want to go into her closet, because the police have made it very clear that. When when her full, it's full. I mean, they're not gonna let anybody else in Belle isle. They start letting the cars roll over at about two o'clock in the afternoon. Every year, they've had to stop the cars to park. Mark on the other side of walkover, if they take too many cars. So there are places all around downtown last year. There were people lined up on Michigan avenue in court town, looking at an angle with this great view, you know. So it's you got to kind of move around and find a great spot, and we use three barges and, you know, so they're spread out a little bit. So. There may be some black, it's building here and there. If you're not, you know, right on the river, but you can find great angles all through downtown to catch this show in the Zambelli as you point out use the three barges. Let's talk about how this works how in the world. Do these fireworks go off the way they do? Tony. Okay, I'll start right at the beginning and kind of walk you through it. It's, it's complicated. But I can explain amazing. It really is. So I start working on the music. And I love doing that. I really do a great job. Well, I, I just want to mean something for our city. And so this year they'll be goosebumps. So when I finished that I get together with Patrick Barreau, who is choreographer for Zambelli and we talk and talk and talk about the highs and lows, the big punch moments, the finale, the fake finale, the real Fidel. All of those things where set in we are really hearing what ten each other's head now. It's off to Zambelli for Patrick, and he starts to order up everything he needs for this show. Our contract with the prey companies already done with them valley. We know our cost we know everything that goes into it. But now, Patrick starts to lineup after our discussion of what he now needs to pull off the show the way that we just decided. And so once that's done the week of the week prior. I'm sorry, the week prior the fireworks. Come into town. They're met at the border. The state. Police may meet the beat the fireworks coming in on the truck, and they're taking over to the site does belly people come in, and they start loading up those three barges under the direction of Patrick Perot, the choreographer because everything's computerized. There's wires hook every single firework on those barges, and there's over ten thousand different fireworks that will go off that night. Unbelievable. Isn't it? That that evening. The barges start their way down the Detroit river get into position and darkness falls and boom, we do the countdown and the rest of history. It's a great show. Our goal though, is to blend the show, you may watch other cities that shoot the same thing off of every barge. We don't view it that way. We like to blend the flow blend the show from all three barges in right in step with the music in this year's theme is Detroit. Ready set go. You got it. You got it. Because Detroit right now is ready. We're set. And let's just keep going. That's exactly what we thought of a reset in, in a couple other logistical questions for you talk about rain. I know that really a name, I can remember once when the fireworks were changed to a different day, but for the most part, unless there's a huge. Storm. They go you go. Yeah. We do everything humanly possible to keep that show on schedule. We, if we have to go a little later, we go. The later a couple of years ago. We went a little bit earlier, but it is such a massive undertaking. This city, the great people chief Craig and his crate, DP, PD, officers, everything is so planned out. We do everything humanly possible to, to get that show in and we work hand in hand, not only with you guys WJR, but also w d I v you know, with their great meteorologist team looking at everything by the minute by the hour throughout the day. Cross our fingers that June twenty-fourth is the best day we've ever had had enough. Ray you mentioned chief Craig Tom to our listeners a little bit about the security precautions this safety. The work that goes into making sure the fireworks are as safe as they can be for all of the families either. Families on Belle isle families at her plaza. But I know you care a lot about safety Tony. In fact, we have safety summits at the parade company where we have over twenty to twenty five different law enforcement groups come together over one hundred people twice in the spring and come together face to face and to see that collaboration. Take hole is just incredible. And it drives me nuts. When people say that there's no collaboration, people don't work together. That is so wrong. This night is really huge for everybody to make sure that everybody feels safe in our downtown. This is our city and chief Craig really does it. So amazingly well, along with everybody from homeland security to even the coast guard the tunnel, they, it's everybody. Everybody's involved to make this the best night possible in our city with the Ford fireworks in finally Tony. This show this healthy woman show is all about saluting dad's. So I wanna wish you a happy Father's Day. Thank you. Thank you. Great family man. You recently had a wedding. And I believe you are also a grandpa. We have a ten month old Theodore, and my son lives in Chicago attorney in Chicago. He and his wife, Tracy. And maybe someday we're going to get back home. We'll see. Daughters living in Cincinnati. She's with Nielsen in Cincinnati and my other daughter zeroes. She lives right in town. And that's all good. But great kids and thank you so much. Great fathers. Everywhere really is. Thank you. Tony michaels. President and CEO the parade company we are looking forward to the twenty fourth of June. Wait. And thank you to the Ford Motor Company. Cannot do this without them on behalf of my co host, Dr Carol Kowalczyk..

But we we had safety concerns by then. But we had a place up north. So we would always pile everybody in the car and go up north same thing. Great memories. Lots of fun. I mean, that's what it's all about is making it, right? So now, let's talk about the fun part. How does it feel to be grandparents to be grandmothers? Well, I think if I knew they'd be this much fun. I would have had them. I. I love being grandparent. And I love everyone of our grandchildren make things even for them. Just having the surprises and the celebrations a lot of family traditions that I didn't think that they would get interested in all of a sudden is they're getting older, they're interested in these things Gramma, how do you do this and grandma, you know, Christmas and Easter and all the various traditions get their joining with the smell makes me even love more. Mike are the the girls have been making one gate, which is the cabbage rolls poli excited that this cheeky. So these these nineteen and twenty somethings are picking up on those traditions. It's wonderful to be a grandparent you. Hear people talk about this years ago. And you really couldn't get the feeling until you become a grandparent, and they're the oldest ones. They call themselves. The original six. Are just, you know, all the young adults, and they're just so much fun to be around, so helpful if you needed them there be right there to help you there. It's wonderful. That's all I have to say, and then mom has a young grandchild. So she's got the old ones in their thirties and twenties, and then she has a four year old grandchild. How is that they range? Now, we're waiting for great grandchildren someday. Oh my goodness. So last question advice, if if each each of you could give a little advice to the Mons listening out there with all of your wealth of experience. What would you, you know, biggest advice? Hi, great to have you on the network. Hello. Hi, sir. Fa- Midland, Texas. I just wanted to share a note, I got from my CPA today that showed a overpayment of eighteen thousand nine hundred twenty nine dollars. From last year. So that's what the overhaul of the wait a minute access to that. You mean, you're getting a refund of eighteen K I overpaid of eighteen thousand from my quarterly taxes last year. All the shirt, you're going to get some reef is not that much. But you're going to get a portion of it back. Yeah. But the the overpayment is is the. Yeah. It's it's the real mean, are you going to are you going to take the refund you're gonna ply that to next year's payment or next quarterlies estimated payment? Oh, we'll see. I still owe sixteen grand from the year before from the previous administrations taxes. Oh, so you're facing basically a washer because of the Trump tax reform. You're having what you of essentially zero doubt. Yes, sir. And it's it's huge or small business. I think I'm gonna be able to hire a fulltime employees. Finally. So you program take the load off a you a little bit yesterday. Well, that's a lot of people. Are I am told are discovering this? But here's folks. Have to repeat this ever since tax reform was passed late two thousand seventeen the media has gone to great lengths. With fake news to tell everybody that the Trump tax cut was phony that you aren't going to see any indication your taxes have been cut. You may see that you're paying more in that was a reference to people in the blue states, and they'll get to deduct. More than ten thousand dollars of their federal taxes state local return, but. There's no way the tax cut of this size can be hidden once it's time to actually file and now people's refunds. I know a millennial couple. Who wave at the last minute to prepare. They had believe they bought it. They believe that they weren't going to get any kind of benefit at all that it might even be they were paying more their refunds thirty eight hundred bucks. They have twins, and and because the child exemption of whatever it is has been doubled from thousands of two thousand dollars. They're getting a huge refund in total shock. They had no idea, and they believe the media. They believed apple news, or whatever it is. They read whatever they watch whatever they stream, and this is happening to people all over the country have predate the call out there read. This is John in Odessa, Texas. Great to have you with us alot. Hey, listen, I would go down the road and. Now that the liberals came out in math against the immigrants that came out anti immigrant. He real soon where are these thirteen fourteen million somebody wants them, right? I mean, listen to Lonzo doesn't want eating her in her new remodeled home. I got to thinking the only people that want him or the American companies trying to increase their profit, Mark. Well, it's it's interesting. If I if I get your drift what John Harris saying all these famous leftists out there stomping their feet demanding that we let illegal immigrants in and that we make them citizens. And that we treat them with the respect that they are deserved an old. And then when the chance comes actually get some. No way. This is a Trump trick. And we're not gonna get fooled by what trick. You are simply being provided what you advocate for and support. Border patrol union. President says it is absolutely legal to drop illegals in sanctuary cities national border patrol council. President Brandon Judd claimed on Sunday, it's absolutely legal for the federal government to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities. Democrat Senator Ben carton in Maryland. Accused Trump of using immigrants as pawns in his political game. Isn't that rich the very people and the very party who use not only illegal immigrants, but the poor and the deranged and the thirsty and the delusional as pawns now dare to call out Trump. For actually helping them advance a policy they support. You start talking about making sanctuary cities illegal, which they already are about away us. You start top taking action to close them down as these leftist pop. You can't do that. By you. You. So Trump comes on. Okay. Okay. How about this? How about we send you the ones we're detaining? You can't do that. You can do. You're you're you're you're you're using them as punch you can't do that. This is why the Trump proposal is really very clever folks because it is. It is creating whether these people know it or not all of these people that are constantly supportive of illegal immigration are now opposing it in their own neighborhoods or states or cities. For them to be consistent. They would have to thank the president. They would ask. How can we help you want to send some more here? How can we make it happen? But in no way, we don't have the resource you can't fool us. This is a trick. You can't use.
