4 Deaths, 2 Critical Hospitalizations Confirmed at Michigan Music Festival
"After carbon monoxide poisoning at the faster horses campsite. Our WJR senior news analyst Marie Osborne with the details. Officials are now investigating four deaths at the festival over the weekend. Faster horses is a nationally known country music festival that takes place at the Michigan International Speedway. It is the biggest concert hit Michigan since the pandemic shut down 40,000 people attended a 30 year old woman's body was discovered on Saturday. Later that day, five men were found in a travel trailer unresponsive. Three died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning to remain hospitalized. Runaway county sheriff's deputies say they found the five men, all of them in their early twenties inside of a travel trailer. Three of the men were pronounced dead at the scene to others transported to the hospital, and officials believe the men all suffered again. Carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator. It was positioned near the trailer. The Lenin Wake County Sheriff's Office, issuing a statement reminding campers at this massive festival about the importance of keeping generators away from their camping areas. The woman's death is still under investigation. Her cause of death is not known. She was identified as Melissa Donna Havens of Crossville. Police say they are looking for a man who was seen with the woman before her death. They're asking for the hub public self and try to locate him. The man described as being in his thirties with short black hair, short beard and wearing a gray hoodie. Asked her horses. Organizers did not mention anything about the incidents in any signage or social media post during the festival over the weekend. In fact, some fans told reporters who were there They have not heard about the deaths. So again, there's still an investigation underway in regards to that woman's death. We live in Plymouth and my wife commute stand are we're on a regular basis, so it's pretty simple. We plug in the car at night because that's when the rates are the cheapest and we unplug it in the morning. But we're sort of excited to get out to Chicago because we have family members out there and the cool thing with his car as it has an app that shows where the charging stations are, and they have black. I think it's called Evie go, which those charging stations will charge that battery within a half hour. You get 80% of the battery charged so Were sort of excited to take a little bit of a longer trip, but it's a great car. It's a lot of fun. It's like a little gold car driving it. Yeah. You know what I'm going to have to ask my daughter about that now, now that you brought that up, that would give Dad a peace of mind as well to see if there's some kind of app. I mean, she may already have it for all I know. And there's no you can do about except try to give the best system possible. Yeah. As bad which, you know. Unfortunately, I like to say a lot of lot of builders who put who put him in. I say I'm not seeing the big boat. They'll just throw a you know, a small pedestal one in there, and that's not what you and I recommend. We we recommend a good heavy duty long lasting. Ideally, a sometime baht from a plumbing supply place, right? I believe in that. You know the spare that I've got sit at home and the one that's in the crack functioning right now. I I purchased both of those from Major supplier. So just recently, Submersible we didn't say, but it should be should mercifully, you know, I have no problem telling people on the outside guy. Okay? I am not good with mechanical stuff, whether it's a car with its inside the house. I'm always said that, but I replaced plenty of Sodom. So the dangers and just recently I was in my daughter's house, looking up her new washer dryer. And Noticed that too some pompous high, so I lifted the Water. Water was high, so I lifted up the float and let it drain out. It wasn't raining. Took it out. Heard the pump going, but it was a pedestal. So that means everyone out there is the stands about 2 ft. Up. The motor is about 2 ft. Over the water, which is not one that you and I prefer because they're rocking the impeller know the impeller is just a shaft broke. I took the screws were underneath it sought in the shaft just literally broke. So it did my stopping in power. Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, I literally once I talked about him, it just fell out. And you seem right where the break was. So there's no fixing that one so I could have gone to the local big box store and Bata, you know, 100 less than $100.1. But the body was there with me said Can I have one at my house that about from heartsick supply, which is a local plumbing all cast iron cast around the inside. You want to be? He said, Pay 200 bucks for Do you want it? Yeah, absolutely. Because My daughter's house constantly and that the castle is always draining to always drink. The pumps always work, and therefore I want a heavy duty one that Dad's not gonna have to go back in 2345 years and fix it again. She she can go to sleep tonight with some peace of mind. Absolutely. Absolutely. You had to retrofit a pedestal punk to a Submersible that I did a little more stuff, buddy or cutting little more glue. But it really wasn't that tough. It really wasn't but One of the guests. I'm going to get her soon is another one. Just sit right next to it. Like you said in the box, because if that does go, we need one right away if that would happen to somebody at 12 at night. And there's no place open and you don't have a backup installed and you don't have one sitting on a shelf. Your basement's fucked now Here's the thing. Make sure your replacement is pretty much the same one that you've got in that whole good point. If there's a specialized fitting we do, sir, coupling any of that kind of thing. You may have the pump, but you don't have a specialized fitting and you still can't adapt. So make darn sure like when I When I bought my spare pump, I bought another coupling, even though I know that coupling will Literally replaced on this in there. I've got a second one that's identical to what's in there now. Okay, that adapts from the pump to the exhaust pipe. Okay, Because that's one of those things. You could crack it if somebody glued it in by mistake, you know, you're never gonna get it out. And then the age old question about the check valve and I knew that was coming. Yeah. People go well. Guys, you know the pump question and it's a 10 ft. Vertical rise before it turns and all that water drains back into the crack, You know, what do I do? And here's the thing you could put that check valve way up high. Or you can put it down low. Either way, there's gonna be some pipe or some water in that vertical riser. Sure, you know is either gonna all come back into the crack, or if you put the check valve lower, which I believe in. It's not going to Which I did. Yeah, very long. So they will always be a water column above the check valve until the turn is made to the point of exhaust with that pipe, so allows the water to leave the crack the crack within that loud Greenback in out as much is going to come back in and over time. I guess it's a relatively mood issue if you wanted to debate it, But standard practice is to have that there..

And so I got a plunger. Fill that sink with water and just plunged the devil out of it. And I didn't hear that girly anymore for I'd bring the laundry a lot, and I didn't hear the gurgling anymore, but I went outside. To the west side of my house and hear the clean out. Had the cap had popped off of it. And just a mile of toilet paper came out of it. It just the whole thing Just must be good. Ah, whole bunch of toilet paper out. My question is, Did I fix the gurgling problem? Or did I? Just push it on down and I still have to get there. We still have to get the clean out to the street cleaned out or did I fix it? You know what I mean? Do you know my my problem? I so I can't believe for one thing that I could take a plunger and forced the cap off of a foreign spy pipe was the plunder, but I don't have any other I have no other suggestion. I don't know what else to think. What will they go round here? Does a sign that you've got a blockage in your drain waste vent. And the fact that you write only the tent. Yeah. Oh, yes. Oh, yeah, I'm getting there struggling for air. Exactly. So it was sucking it through that adjacent plumbing picture in you solved the problem with some rather manly plumbing plunging and sounds like Do you think it I broke it was events that I have two vents. I don't hear the gurgling anymore, and I did have a problem with I clean brush but teeth that think that I brushed my teeth and all the time it seems to get plugged regularly. And I have Ah, brain both sweeper. I just suck it that stuff right out of there. That works fantastic, And I haven't heard that gurgling since then, either.
