Larry Harmon actually passed away a few years ago, but his family's company owned the rights to both of the clown, and now it's going to make a comeback. Illinois Democrats Set to OK New Legislative Maps Over Criticism
"Illinois Democrats convening a special session to redraw legislative maps they drew back in May. Now they're incorporating US Census data provided in August. The hope is to head off legal challenges by Republicans Capital Bureau chief Mark Maxwell in Springfield. This latest move is the most glaring evidence yet. The Democrats muscled the first map through just to meet that deadline, and now they're muscling a second real map through if you will to cover their tracks and button up the parts of that first map that could have been shot down in the courts. Republicans argue it's after June 30th that constitutional deadline and by still drawing these maps, it means it should go to a bipartisan commission. I had to do a show. I couldn't do it from the nightclub. So I went up the W C A. N and I took all of this music that stamina little Richard. Frankie line, the five satins. This was the music that touched me. And I started to play it. So the secret is, if you like music that you like if you can share it with an audience and be enthusiastic about that. And they dig it. That's the home run, girl. Oh, of course it is. But you know a lot of things you played. Yes, you could hear it. If you were listening to D A s r H A t, but a lot of things you couldn't These were things that you came up with it. Nobody else did. And I'm curious how that happened. But it is a great question. And you know, you also get into the question of what is causing it. And I know they got press releases and all that kind of stuff talking about it. And I don't know that they've had any, uh, any terrific answers. The last I heard is they're going to have a press conference or they did this evening at today, So maybe maybe I have to listen to the WGN news to find out what was on it. I want to talk about skin care, because that's all we're doing now, right As we're washing our hands were using sanitizers on our hands and our faces and all parts of the body that we won't even talk about on the radio right now, But I will ask her about that next week, and I know that she feels we don't protect ourselves appropriately in the winter against the sun. Why do we need to do that? Ah, Betty White, celebrating our 99th birthday once told me that my idea of exercise because I said at some point I don't remember five years ago eight years ago. What interview it was she was much younger. She was probably 94 or something. But I said, What is your idea of exercise? And she said My idea of exercise, just saying the word exercise, But Michael Moody, who's a fitness Coast probably feels well, That's not quite enough. Betty White. I suspect you feel that way, Michael. We've now all got all these APS. And I've got one. I count my steps. I look every day and I until I talk to you was happy about 10,000 steps. But no. You're saying 20,000 steps and are these apse which measure everything. Are they a good idea? No doubt any level of accountability could help us take that next step by literally with our goals. But we also have the You sure that it doesn't become an overwhelming experience? Just talking to a client earlier, who was checking his weight daily, there was a point where it became overwhelming for him. We're almost he wanted to push away the entire experience. So right now, Our biggest challenge is how do we create an immersive experience the elbows what their goal and to provide the accountability that we need and luckily with technology Between the coltan abs and more. We have the opportunity to really pair something up with our personality and something that's motivating, no matter what. You wanted to be fitting to your lifestyle, your approach to things, But you have to know what that boundary line is. At some point If you're tracking your food every day doesn't become such a task that you end up pushing away. Well, maybe you find a way to only do 20 to 30%. But for the reason why clients hire me as a trainer It's the accountability the psychology of the experience that's going to determine whether or not you're successful long term. So how much of it is all in our heads? So let's say I'm training to do a five k 3.1 Miles, which is doable for many, many people how much of that is really psychological rather than physiological. If we think that, in order to reach success, we just need to find that perfect combination for physical mental emotional Selves. It seems like it may be something easy. The information is out there. There's no better time in the history of all humans to have access to such a resource is you don't even need a trainer. But the biggest challenge here is taking this information and apply it to your body and knowing what you need. But hands down the psychology of this goal attainment or seeking this goal is the biggest challenge. Now. A lot of people think that it's the physical side that holds one back. But it's the reason why the last 20 years I've been studying psychology. My book is about psychology, My podcast about psychology, really helping my clients. Get Had the question isn't whether or not they're going to reach your goal. The question is, how long and what are they going to do when these obstacles present themselves in their day to day life? And I have another question. Is that the right goal? So does some people come to you? And you said, Well, some people don't even need a trainer. Well, one of the advantages I suspect of having a trainer. Did you get to know the client at first? Just a little bit, but enough to know that why are you setting that goal? You can do so much more. Maybe the reverse. It's like, okay, you need to walk before you can run. You're not ready for an ultra marathon when you can barely cross the street without huffing and puffing. Yeah, We definitely have the examine Why We have this goal on It doesn't matter if you're with the trainer, and now you want to bring all the information that you found about yourself. Yes, you have to become a human scientist and really studied the trends and patterns of you and put it on the table. You could bring that goal as well. Press You want to run a marathon because this plan suggested it. Or do something similar, but you have to really see if it's a line and somebody with a history of injuries. Maybe doing something with such impact is the most ideal. But you could find a way to adapt. So really someone coming in to see me the first phase, no matter what the goal is to really explore who they are, And that's something that all of us should be doing. I think of my life. In line with a fiscal year and we have quarters and every quarter I do a check in with myself, just as you might checking a spreadsheet. I really look at my habits.
