"This is Jeff Widener on WGM. Jay. Okay, grew who is producing the show today. And always you are nervous about this next topic. I okay. So we're maybe we're going to do some disclosures beforehand. But you are nervous about this next. Stop. Yes. All right here is here is what the big the big movie of the weekend setting all time box office records is vendors endgame, which is the wrap up of the last twenty two more movies. We talked about the show a little bit on Friday. It runs a little bit over three hours in length. One point two billion dollars in box office worldwide that just blows the doors off any any previous records. I have not seen it yet. I am seeing it. Fran. And I are going. We got tickets for five o'clock this evening you and MRs grew. We're going to go see it's you get tickets for seven o'clock. Yep. That's right. So we have not seen it. Now. You do not know how. How the movie ends you. You don't know anything about the plot? Right. Right. Besides you know, what I've seen on television. Right. Okay. All right. I on the other hand have not managed to remain spoiler free. I know what happens. But it doesn't bother me. I still I'll be able to enjoy the movie, but but there's a number of people who don't want to know what happened. You know, they they call them. They call spoilers and there's a number of people. My producer included who spent the better part of the weekend just trying to avoid taking in your reading stories or reviews or checking out stuff on the internet that tell you what what happens in the movie, and I don't think it's any secret to say because one of the things that's been talented is our their character deaths are some of these major some of these major heroes to does anybody die, and who is which the characters die, and that's kind of the big thing that's out there. So all right. Spoiler free. What's happened is over the weekend? There are been two things a couple of newspapers including the Washington Post in their headlines on their stories. So it's not even like here. We're doing a story on the avengers endgame. This don't read it. If you don't wanna know in one of the headlines of one of the stories, they sent out it gives away a it gives away huge plot point, including it, a dentist is a character. Who dies we're not. We're going to do a spoiler free show here, but it carry die. So if you followed the Washington Post on Twitter, you got this headline, and you kind of look at it. And now, you know this major plot point, right? A number of other people, including this guy who's running back with Shawn McCoy for the Buffalo Bills. He takes to Twitter, of course, he's a football player. So he's got thousands and thousands of people who follow him. He goes on Twitter, and he to all his thousands and thousands of followers. He sends out his comment about the movie, including how the movie ends. So you have all these people who didn't want to know how the movie ends. But they. Now have no choice. Because again, you get the Twitter thing you click on it. And boom, you know there. It is. There to Santa Claus dies at the end of the movie. So now, some people consider this to be ruined. Our number is four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage, talk and text line. This is led to this huge discussion about whether or not people after the movie comes out, and it is a movie that is such a social phenomenon. I mean, again one point two billion dollars in in box office. So there's all sorts of people who were staying up late seeing this Friday Saturday and Sunday is it once that movie opens is it reasonable to expect that people aren't going to share what happens in it. So in other words, the people on the internet, the people who check their Twitter feeds and see this Washington Post headline or see somebody that they follow who happens to have irked up. How the movie ends do. They have a legitimate right to be upset or hey, this is life get over it. It's just. You know, what did you think was going to happen? You know, once once all these people started showing it, you know, you're no matter how you try to avoid finding out. What happened? It's going to happen. Just go. Enjoy the movie four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage, talk and text line. And if you call up, please, please, please, please please do not give the if you've seen the movie do not not disclose the ending to my poor long suffering producer who's going to be screening costs four one four seven nine nine one six twenty that is the accurate mortgage, talk and text line. I think it is a jerk move to take to social media and discuss the ending of that movie. You know, however, many people follow me on Twitter if I'd seen the show on Friday night. I might have tweeted whether I enjoyed the movie or not or I might have sent a picture of like Fran and I sitting there eating popcorn and our diet sodas and stuff, but I would not have. Have tweeted the ending. I wouldn't have done it. Because I think that that's a jerk move now at some point in time after the movies been out a week two weeks a month. You know, if you wanna talk about it. I think some point in time, you know, if if you haven't seen the movie yet. Sorry, there's nothing we can do. But over the weekend. I think it's a jerk. Move four one four seven nine nine one six twenty Joe in apple to Joe your first good afternoon. Good afternoon, sir. What do you think? Okay. Is it a jerk move to tweet out the the ending of the movie the first couple of days it opens? I say boohoo to you. I get I get bummed out on this every year during the Packers at least three or four times when I am not able to catch the game live, and I want to watch it. I can't go without seeing it. So if you don't want to see it tell you put technology down for a little while and go through technology and you'll justify okay? So you think it's it's it's the fault. You don't think there's anything wrong with with giving up the ending of a movie the first weekend? It opens. In this day and age. No, I really don't. I mean, whether I were to do it what you're gonna do it whether a newspaper doesn't whether whatever ABC actually does it. It's going to get out there. And if you're on social media, you're reading the news now, you just commented to what you can't even news about without missing it anymore. We'll. I guess it is. I mean, look I understand if you're trying if you are let's say you're doing something on a Sunday afternoon and the Packers are playing and you've recorded the game. And you don't want to find out. You know, how how the the outcome is. I understand you you pretty much have to make yourself a hermit. But that's, but that's that's different to me. That's a live sporting event. And the reality is people are going to be talking about that is that different than a movie four one four seven nine nine one six twenty. All right despoilers, really spoil it for me. It's not that big a deal. I I know that the basic plotline of the movie, and I know the points, and I'm still going to joy it. All right. We'll take quick break. If you're on the line police, hold on, Jeff Wagner..

I guess would be the point. Yeah. I think that they're probably considering the tactical approach here. If he's considering the executive order. Does he know what's gonna fail in the courts? Or does is he being told it's likely to fail in the courts. But that's your only political out in terms of showing that you still have some fight on the throne. So this one is one that swept the country just a few years ago. Has gone quiet. And now, according to the FCC has roared back so someone will call they're usually targeting offices. They'll call and say, they're from the phone company. Whatever phone company serves the area where the offices they're calling. And they say that we are diagnosing and fixing a problem with telephone service at your facility. We need for you to do a command of the phone for us to run one of our tests, the command, and if you heard me talk about this before you may remember this maybe not. They'll tell you to do nine pound. And what they are able to do is. It's not the phone company at all. They are seizing your central phone. Switch from an outside line, then able to place calls anywhere in the world for free and you get the Bill at your business. They also may use the dial tone, they've captured from you. To make fraudulent calls not where they're stealing long distance where they're trying to steal money from people and pretending. They are from your company. Just make sure whoever is first point of contact who answers the phone anywhere in any facility. You have. That if they get a call from somebody pretending to be from the phone company. "Mercure, NewsRadio WGM, Jay. Thanks for being with us. Welcome into Monday. A new survey has ranked the best companies for fathers based on things like paternity, leave remote working backup care and more. Here's Katie hill editor at marketwatch, Katy which companies Accenture American Express Bank of America, Deloitte, E Y, IBM Johnson and Johnson Intel MacKenzie. Let's see State Street a Unilever and beat that. There's a whole life is on working, mother dot com. But a lot of big companies are really trying to give not only moms is the dads this and does. So is this the nature of the economy and job market today? Or is this something that's been in the works for some time, regardless of how competitive the job scene is. I think it's Thirdly accelerating now right because it is really competitive, and they know you see survey after survey millennial showing that millennial men and women want work like balance, they, you know, they want to prioritize their family or their south or whatever. So it helped with retention of employees and also people are leaving companies. Now, there's the job market is so good. So they really want to hold on. They really want to offer really good benefit. And I just saw survey. I think this morning that said forty percent of people would take less pay you get the option to work remotely. I mean companies are looking at things like that thinking, how am I going to get the back employee, and sometimes it's not just by paying the most. Sometimes it's by giving moms and dads benefit. Like, this is how you get and retain employees for speaking. With Katie hill editor at marketwatch pieces, called these thirty five companies are the best places for dads to work. So if dads are getting more perks like perhaps working from home or paid paternity leave. What could that mean potentially for women? Rens advancement, if they're not the one say running home when a child is sick or staying home. If there's something else going on such an important point. Right. Because it it still shows that women are, you know, do most of that still and it does hurt their careers. You know, unfairly often, so yeah, if dads are in the workplace, we see you know, dad's is also primary caregivers to parents both. You fifty fifty if we start to look at dad's like that. That I can look at men and women like that. Change the culture of the companies. So they got to get my kids at stake air, you know, or whatever. So. Yeah. You know, they spoke to one of the the executive director of the of the Boston College center for working families. "Is sports central on WGM Zhang, Greg Matzek with you till nine o'clock tonight. Busy night in the NBA. The bucks are off their back tomorrow in the bay area against the Golden State Warriors will be a little short handed and the Packers continue the practice week in a it's kind of a compressed schedule. Here. They'll have a game on Sunday against the Miami. Dolphins at lambofield, then they'll take off on Tuesday night for Seattle. They'll take on the Seahawks a week from tonight believe it or not there will be Packers football. So lots of ground to cover here with the Packers as they look to get back sunny side of five hundred guy knows a little finger to about the Green Bay Packers former Packers wide receiver and NFL news breaker, can we call them that he's breaking news left. And right. The NFL networks James Jones joining us on the line. He james. I'm doing well. Good to talk to you. It's good to have you part of our show. And I know you're coming back to Green Bay coming up in a couple of weeks here about a week, right? You're going to be at the lodge colour, man. Oh, man. Selling our life stories. Well, we're looking forward to that. James? I know you're going to be in town. And then having a good time with Dorsey, and certainly Dave Robinson. This is a cool deal. It's it's a legends getaway at the lodge colour. It's a three day deal with begins on Thursday night. You guys are gonna do a little happy hour and kick things off a little chalk talk. You're going to be involved in. I see that Dorsey Levens on on this Saturday morning is going to be cooking breakfast for people. Are we sure he's cool to do that? I mean, I don't know. I mean, I will watch him. I'll make sure he knows exactly what he's doing doll. You guys are. James? What does it mean to stay connected to Green Bay like you're able to do and be a part of something that you were a part of for so many years. Manage to the organization. Right. You're there long enough. Bill. Oh. Well, you're watching this team now with a with the eye of a network analyst for NFL network three four and one, and you know, Aaron better than pretty much anybody James does he look frustrated to you right now with where things are at. He doesn't. Hey, like, you know, when you're going there, and you walk. Sales say, okay, we beat our. Well, you know, what we had opportunities to limit game. Maybe take back to the Rams game. I mean, I know I don't want to bring. Seventeen seventeen. You got the ball. Driving a sports nuts now. And you formal. You know, you're inbox gay. So what are you gonna watch? You have the confidence that we're a good ball. We don't make more plays. You know in between the game. You know, we're we're gonna be fine. That's the big thought at all. At all. It's all about. One get one. And then you worry about the next. You wanna come down? James? I guess it's it's not the games against the Rams and the patriots. Scratching my head. The most about I figured that'd be tough games. And it did boil down to a couple of plays. But watching back the game against the lions in the Redskins where they just they weren't even competitive for a half that seemed a little abnormal to me. Yeah. Yeah. Gotta let go. And the team that showed up in Detroit. They happened to walk. You gotta understand. Everybody has launched every week. One of those. I mean, those are the ones that are hard. Every game. You gotta win those games. But hey, guys you pay to play today. You know, we all paper on the. Every year. Play the game. Former Packers wide receiver James Jones. Joining us on sports central presented by Miller lite. They're at a point in the season here James where you can't really absorb too many more losses and expect to be a playoff team everybody talks about a sense of urgency. Does that really exist inside the meeting rooms behind closed doors inside the locker room? I mean, everybody knows they need to win games. But does sense of urgency? Does that apply to teams in the NFL? Oh, absolutely. Listen. Five days. Bowl in the playoffs and having to. So you know, that you drop a couple, and you know, you really don't have any more than the Packers. Fire. Matthew better. Everybody's been. James? I have a question for you on on on the offense as orchestrated by Mike McCarthy you played when it was really humming along Joe Philbin there. And I think a lot of Packers fans thought would Joe Philbin coming back. Here you go. Right. I mean, this this is when the offense was at its best when Joe Philbin was alongside bike McCarthy. Too. Bright offensive binds when I'm watching the offense this year in Mike McCarthy said it in the off season, we're going to take a scrub brush to this thing. We're going to kind of re invent ourselves offense a little bit. It's gonna look a little different to me. It doesn't look much different. Do you believe the Packers offense is where it should be in terms of trends of the NFL? Well, I mean, I I feel I feel a little bit more movement in office Las people moving around. They're moving a lot lot. I think what happened on early in the season. Great. You know, Jamal went out Iran ah went out. So now, it's like, okay. I got it. The young boys. And I think that's what will happen earlier. You gotta get your kid. But I think he's fouled certain. Dot dash. I like my. I liked it. Moving the ball. Especially young dive. And for the help, you know. The ball. I think we'll be fine. Well, I hope you're right on that James, and you're an NFL network analysts now. So are you officially a member of the media or do you not want to call yourself that? Well, you're breaking news. Now, man, you got me following you on Twitter. We talked to the locker I'm a bunch when you were playing. But but now you're breaking news that I'm trying to do. Breaking. I've never been there. Nervous. My hands. A lot of big games. I was never nervous. I'm extremely nervous. I don't want to. No. Special time. I'll tell them all. Breaking. It was too rough on your ticker. Yeah. It's crazy, isn't it? Right. You want to get all the spellings? Right. You wanna make sure evolve the numbers, right? You read it one hundred times, and you can't take it back. Once you present the -actly. That's the point. That's amazing. You and tau shirt in Coon. You're all involved in the media. None you guys wanna call yourself. Members of the media. I respect it though. James, I respect it. Man, we'll see in Green Bay in about a week or so I take care of former Packers wide receiver James Jones. This is a really cool event, by the way. So if you've been to the lodge colour yet in Green Bay Ashton, I have not I mean, this place is unbelievable. It is just gorgeous. And it's a Aaron Rodgers pass away from lambofield parking lots, and I just got a ton of stuff going on up there. So James is going to be back with Dorsey Levens. The Super Bowl champion of the ninety s and Dave Robinson the hall of Famer. So the three of them. I it's a totally unique and immersive experience that will kick off on Thursday. "Wake up with us literally happened moments before I was driving through the Marquette interchange. A good morning, gene. You have that rain storm last night. It was coming down. So it was good news bad news for the brewers, gene. Newsradio WGM Jay. WTMJ great news center. I'm Greg hill. The season is over for the Milwaukee Brewers. Powered by home runs off the bat of Cody Bellinger, and UCLA Quique. The dodgers dash the brewers World Series dreams with five to one win in game. Seven of the brewers offense was largely held in check the brewers load. One of the game came on a Christian yelich Homer in the bottom of the I unfortunately missed opportunities more of a story line as the brewers finish tonight over five with runners in scoring position brewers manager Craig counsel. We did get some leadoff guys on. But I don't I don't know. If there wasn't any where we had multiple days runners on the camp. So thrilling ride that saw the team or a franchise record one hundred and two wins. They took us on an amazing journey. We should all be grateful for for being able to see because it was a magical run. We wanted division finished one game from the World Series formula park. Greg Matzek WTMJ sports the dodgers advanced to the World Series to face. The Boston Red Sox game one will be played Tuesday. Tonight in Boston. Hey with the Burs twenty eighteen season coming to an end fans at the park probably felt the same way as you. I'm Eric Bill stead at Miller park as the dodgers and their fans celebrated the NFL pennant brewers nation was left wondering what could have been. We shouldn't be those dodgers. The only question I had is why bring in Jeffress losing to the dodgers in a decisive game. Seven was not the way brewers fans wanted the season to end. But.

"Insurance products. Yep. Eleven thirty five NewsRadio WGM Jay talking about an article. Now, they are really focusing on the GM did this pilot test if you will. Where they were able to draw. All this information about people's car radio listening habits, then ultimately, sell that's broadcasters advertisers. I think there is a much bigger overarching topic here, and that is these wifi connections. That are newer cars. I have a passes for an older car twenty fourteen. It was really the first generation where you're getting a lot of that data rich stuff going on. But still doesn't have that as more and more cars do have. Connections are connected cars, smart vehicle. You have greater and greater privacy concerns beyond knowing what your radio listening habits are fact that the technology right now is probably in newer cars, where they can track your mileage and tax that way, a mileage tax versus the gas tax and any number of other things and as a texture just pointed out, you might be surprised about what's in your your smartphone. Is this a good or a bad thing? When you look through the prism of privacy on the accurate mortgage, talk and text line. You can call four one four seven nine nine one six twenty two Bill in Cheboygan Bill. Hi, you're WTMJ, Jerry. I liked the idea of tracking the mileage for sure some of the other questions not so pleased about tracking the mileage on all vehicles will will make it equitable equitable or the electric and the gas vehicles paint for the road use. Did you so? For all do you think these cars are good idea or just specific to tracking the mileage I think it's a good idea overall. Yeah..

"NewsRadio WGM, Jay. Mark Islip back with you again. Taking your calls at eight six six ninety redeye. Let's go to Susan in Vancouver. Washington. Yes. You're on with Mark. Oh, I'm sorry. Good evening or good morning. Whatever it is. I'm here. I'm sorry. And I'd like to say that I'm enjoying your program very much, and a lot of it is that you're allowing so many people to talk it. It's fabulous to hear. How many people have really been grip on what's going on? My family's just sort of shattered. My older brother married to a woman who was a schoolteacher all her adult life, and she is. If I ever see her again that might each is soon. He has two children. Well, she's she just actually you cannot. You cannot have a conversation with her about. The truth about anything going on. She's you know, she gets becomes crazy and screaming and who wants to put up with that her. Their daughter is married to a San Francisco policeman, and they are very conservative. They're being Trumpers. They see. What's happening? They have children one just started college for brother and his wife. There it hits. You can see where this is all going. My husband, and I basically have lost her daughter too. A leftist, which is breaking our hearts, but we we saw something changing and her, and we really didn't know what was happening and all of a sudden she couldn't watch American football anymore. She couldn't have her nights with her. Friends her girlfriend. She had a good job. She is buying a house shown the cars had money in the Bank. She now. I hope she can hang on to her house. And we're just hoping that he doesn't talk her into selling it for the money, but it's very uncomfortable. Because her father is a retired federal agent. She knows where he was at all of his life. And we just have no idea. She's a smart girl. Really how this happened? It's almost like brainwashing. But another thing I'd like to say is that for me. Donald Trump is not a perfect person. I never looked at him like that. But for me, he's my hero. He's the only American man stepped up. When we needed it. And he is an older man, seventy two the gentleman said before who would want to do this at seventy two I believe that he he.

"Down. So good news bad news for the brewers, gene. Newsradio WGM Jay. It's Red Eye Radio. He is Eric Harley and I'm Gary McNamara. Eight six six ninety redeye one of the things I've heard over the last couple of days. So she from the left the legitimacy of the supreme court is now gone. Of course, that's ridiculous. Right. It isn't. I mean, that's the way when when you're lost for anything else to say, that's that's what you say. The only other thing as I've said, I let it with yesterday showing. And I do believe this is something that the Republicans need to work on. And I said maybe I was nitpicking after Republicans were celebrating their victory. But when I heard Mitch McConnell afterwards being asked a question about conservative justices. He used a term conservative Justice. And I said, look we need to as conservatives we need to take that out of it. It's not conservative versus political on the supreme court. It's originalist versus liberal. That's what it is. If you want to be accurate as to what is actually going on. It's the liberals who wished to put on judges who will pass legislation versus not conservatives who wish to pass conservative legislation. It's originalist construction is also than they've been called but originalist who wanna stick to the original text of the constitution. Petition and say, it's not our job to legislate now that may be a conservative idea, but saying liberal versus conservative justices gives you the indication that it's all political, and it's not from the point of view of a conservative the kind of judge. We want is one who will protect the constitution not change. It change changing. The constitution is up to or changing the law or the constitution is up to the legislature or the constitutional amendment process. And it's that simple, and we need to as conservatives we need to and libertarians we need to promote that that it is we the people through our elected representatives that need to be making the law and not abandoning the constitution and having judges become legislators, and we haven't explained that enough. And so when I hear. Even in the media on a consistent basis and once in a while, I'll even slip and say, a conservative judge. It's like, no, no, it's actually not a conservative judge. That's not what we're looking for or not fighting the same fight just the partisan opposite of the liberal. They wish for their justices to make liberal law. We do not wish our judges to make conservative law that does not exist. We want them to uphold the.
