"Woke. This time has gone on, and they were talking about some kind of crack down on guns or such some such thing. The money isn't that second amendment was written. Whether the frame was like it or not. They wrote it for everybody. And I am everybody and the Lord by citizens of this city are everybody and we want our rights and we want to keep our rights and by God, we're gonna keep Come hell or high water. That was a damn good speech. And so they're Republicans reached out to him, and he ran for lieutenant governor in North Carolina last year. And in spite of the fact that this horrible, horrible guy named uh Cooper is the governor of North Carolina. He's done almost as much damage is Charlie Parker or Janet Mills or Andrew Cuomo have done in his state, which was totally unnecessary. All right. Mark Robinson was elected lieutenant governor and I guess Cooper's term limited so this guy could run for governor. But Be The local TV station in Raleigh, WRE. Ellis were Jesse Helms Gotta start and they used to. When I was in college in the seventies. They used to play Dixie when they went off the Air Channel five and Rollie WRL. But now I guess they've just become left wing like everybody else. So they ran a further black history month they ran a cartoon. Of an elephant in a Klan outfit, which, of course, is Totally A historical It's totally false. It's it's just insanity. The Democrats were the Ku Klux Klan. The Democrats were the party of massive resistance of Jim Crow, etcetera, etcetera. And so there, But now Jesse Helms old TV station is trying to make the Republicans out to be the clans. But they ran a cartoon and lieutenant governor north of North Carolina. Mark Robinson just just had a press conference in just excoriated this this TV station for for its Orwellian Rewriting of history, making the Republicans into the clan. So let's play some of these cuts. These are great cuts cut one that car to doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is the hypocrisy behind it. That's what bothers me that you would betray a black man just because he's in the Jill.

"But no The fact is you drew that picture said and wrote who it was wearing the Klan outfit. So you could you could hyperbole could be nuanced Irony could be nuanced. There's nothing nuanced about that. Which is why I'm now proposing. That we pull our free sources together. And by the 1998 International 4700 WRL former news vehicle that's for sale right here on the Facebook marketplace. Got 280,000 miles. It's fully wrapped, got all the low going everything you need big blue truck And then after we get it, and I feel like 99, we could probably get him down a little ways. But after we get it fully equipped W R a L news vehicle. We drive around, terrorizing the public and flipping Children off. Who's with me on this? Who wants a piece of this action. I'll do it. Yeah, not a problem. Ross has talked about how he dreams of the day. He's old enough to flip Children off. That's true. You know, when you can be old and just give it get away with everything. Yeah. Why did you do that? To my childhood crying? I'm like I'm old. I don't know her like shoplifting. Yeah. Now you could be like I work for all right? Yeah, then thank you. Whip detail this thing around. How amazing would it be then? Because look at all the uses. How amazing would it be like we're on the You know when the snow's falling and W Ariel's out there the they're doing the thing where they're driving right behind. People going. Look at these people can't drive. What if all of a sudden the rear view mirror They see their own vehicle now tailgating them. Couple alterations one Current I'm not sure what's coming out of it yet, but we'll figure it out too. Two very important all for alterations on this thing. Much bigger tires Gotta look mean around the road has to be a three. Huggy Bear horn. All right, the pimp porn. Yes, I don't know why, but that needs to be a thing as well. Or you could go generally will figure it out. The point is drive around May Hammond sues RL's leaving the rap on this thing hopefully Ross's flipping Children off I feel like you know. That would be a good way to entertain me. Drive erratically. Insult people. 99. We could probably get him down a little bit. So what do we do? We're gonna go fund on this and I'm not sure I mean, we have to do it. This is gonna be amazing. Or hang on, everybody, you know, making the right decision. Do you think hard work should be rewarded? "Out of even trying to put up a front that it wasn't just about pure, unadulterated hate politics. So you know what? I take them at their word. Watched enough of it. We played enough audio. We've had enough discussions. That's what it is. And you know, by the way, you know, the WRL can hold a bunch of specials. All they want where they come over and they go. We're gonna talk about How You know is the media bias And what can they do to regain the trust of people? What do they do? They hold Pat McCrory on there. By the way, I hate gave a couple examples, but holy crap. The The non specific SEC. I had an opportunity to at least throw it in her face on, but it was HB two and And and calling him out on a little bit of Not identifying protesters is thoroughly enough. Watch that that was laughing at that thing. I don't know how many people saw that a bunch. You sent that to me. But it was like when I was talking with Travis Fain and I I I do not understand It is legitimate to point out that people were upset over what happened in Minneapolis. But it's also to to do that. And to say that that is the only driving force. What we saw over the summer One sounds like a justification. For some of the riots, um, but also is to ignore the fact that they They themselves are a l have covered all sorts of things over the years like the whole hands up. Don't shoot Hoax that famous photo of the entire CNN panel with their hands up. Don't shoot Michael Brown. They burned Ferguson to the ground. So too. You know the act like It was a one off based on some, You know, one thing there were a lot of people seem to think that there was problematic policing. Is too Just completely ignore. What's you know what's going on? And, um, so anyway, My point is they don't give us they don't give a rip sor Um, hold on. Yes, Scooter. What's up? Yeah. Did you watch the organization yesterday? I didn't get a chance. I've seen photos. Yeah, Yeah. I was sitting right here watching them. I think it was really very telling cause you know, Obama had all his supporters there. How many yet? It is. Then Trump had a lot of hiss, but a lot of his at the work so they weren't there. And then it. Biden had his, uh, memorial for all his that voters. So now that Do about it now, now? Yeah, the flag. You know you don't you don't do open. Mike, do you Scooter, you know, thinking about it, but, you know, I don't know, man. Shut up! All right, All right, get out of here. Uh, is still funnier than any that comedian who had that Netflix special Ones like this is the greatest comedy special of all time. Over that one from like she's from, like Tasmania or something. Is that that won't comedian and they're no jokes. You just watched telling, like the story of her awful life. There were no jokes. We have that. Remember? We played some of it. We're just like Yeah. Then Bill Burr came out his specialty paper. Tiger. Yeah, hilarious, And they're like we shouldn't even have this on the platform. It's It's awful. It's some funny. It's bigoted. And it was great. Let's see if we still have. I don't remember her name. Sleek nan or something I don't know. But we don't have it in here. I remember. We played We played big stretches of it. Just see how long we could go. Where There was no joke Got woke, Lar Ping. Don't know what that is. What is Whoa! Clar ping coming? Oh,.

"Seven. Good morning. It is Friday. It is January 15th. And it is time here at the end of the week where we check in with our radio buddy to the West Heat calendar. Hanging out there and beautiful, buster filled Bunkum County. What's going on, man? How you doing? Doing all right? Not too bad. How are you? Top of the morning? Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, so few things. We got to go through. It's you know, it's been a week. Academy last week. By the way, did you see the op ed on WRL this morning? I believe. Yeah, I believe I re tweeted it out, saying something to the effect of time to circle the wagons. Everybody. People are starting to doubt Cooper's crisis management abilities, So we've got to protect the precious and you could rely on The former Democratic governor calms guy that now writes for the voice of wre yells parent company to, uh, to make that case. Essentially, North Carolina is in the 44. It was 48. Am, which was the number we used to celebrate when we rank there for other reasons, but, um, it was 48 to now I think they're claiming to be 41st. What I found. Very interesting is the first ranking that they used and it was actually a ranking that showed North Carolina's ninth. And distribution of Vaccines in the ability to follow through with that, but that was on that was purely on population and We have a lot of people, so you know it's easy. It's easier to end up there when you have more allocated what's troubling known. I don't know Some of the older than the numbers you've seen is the potential for waste. Of wasted vaccine vaccines that we're spoiled or ultimately, we're not making their way out there in a timely enough manner. What do you hearing on that front? So Mandy Cohen, helping Human services secretary was actually asked yesterday. I want to say it was by The Associated Press reporter Brian Anderson, who asked us and she seemed to indicate from what I recall that I mean, I was kind of had it on in the background. So I was not monitoring it as I as closely as I should have. But if I recall he she had responded that they're not aware of much spoilage at this point Now I don't know how you tracked that stuff and look the rollout. I recognize there's gonna be problems. This is a massive logistical operation, right? And there are very few states that air getting it white. But I think the criticisms from the beginning in the way this was rolled out in North Carolina are kind of bearing out. Now they keep trying to, um it's sort of like square peg round hole kind of a deal where they're trying to force things. To happen based on criteria that they prefer. The big one is, you know they want to distribute this in some sort of racially equitable manner and E keep coming back to them and saying it from the beginning, you know, either this is serious or it's not either. We're practicing battlefield medicine, or we're not get the shots out the door to the people that need them the most. And those would be the at risk populations. If you have a very, very, very low chance of contracting and dying from covert 19. You probably shouldn't be first or second or third in line. You know the people who are most likely to get it and die. They should be first in life unless, of course, the point is not to save as many lives as possible. The the whole racial equity side. Was that answer, not yesterday's press conference with one earlier this week where it she started to stumble through about well the You know, average life expectancy and how that needs to play in there, and it's Lower for people in the minority community, and I'm sitting there going this is a word salad. I don't understand what you're saying. This is an argument that a lot of folks on the left have been making that because whites have a longer life span in America. They shouldn't get the shot as early as other non white racial populations. Because the quality of the years didn't they have, like formulas for you know your younger person? So your quality of life those years you have remaining are going to be more valuable than if you are, you know, 85 all this And if you really see if you see the curtains open here into the into the pathway to the kinds of things that conservatives were arguing about with Obamacare, the quote death panels. This opens that door right? Because once you start once you start turning over these types of questions From an ethical perspective and then applying them to government policy and prioritization of limited resource is that's how you get down that path that Z. That's a troubling conversation that people I think are hesitant to have in the open, but at least we're kind of getting a glimpse of it now. Well and then what do you do? You come out two days later, and then you readjust the priority list again, Because obviously you're first list isn't working out and I think at that point, it's fair to have critical conversations, which is what the woke schooled. Uh, editorial guy over there at W. R L was saying should not happen, and they should be Essentially asking her how much more money she needs, and it was just absolutely absurd. You know, It's funny, though. I had a conversation. I actually had one of the WRL reporters on the beginning the week Travis Fain. On. I know you listen to that interview. Umm I did I find it fascinating because I like to understand why everybody's head's at and where people are coming from, and Travis and I had a very interesting conversation. There's you know, it's one of those things. In retrospect, there's a lot of different roads. I want to go down. But you got to fit it into the time that you have. But the one thing that I kinda tacked onto the end as the continued way in which the governor has found since March to avoid most of the critical questions..

"I mean, come on, man, you know? Yeah. And you know that because of quote unquote the media So you know, little credit where credit is due there. I mean, there are people calling Bs is you said on various things. It's just the media is such a massive conglomerate now. And You know, we all need to be taken with some grain of salt, and it's important to look at the byline and to remember. Well, do I trust this person? Or do I not to read multiple sources? I mean, it's hard it is hard in America. Mm hmm. To ascertain you know the truth because the process of ascertaining the truth in a world of liars is difficult, and I'm a big advocate for Literally teaching this media consumption. I mean, in baby as early as elementary school, but certainly middle high school college level. Just Yeah. Let me just answer the last question. I'm sorry. Just we only have a couple minutes. So with that in mind, and and you feel that you know, people should have access to this. They should. They should also have the ability to sort through it. Then you have to be of the opinion that what has transpired over the last few days where there is a massive effort to limit people's ability to communicate and share information. By the downing of parlor. And the greater limiting those seemingly only in one direction of on Facebook by the banning of anything having to do with the stolen election. That does a disservice, doesn't it? You know, each company kind of has to be free to make its own decision. There's a tension here between the free market. And the First Amendment, and I don't know I can't make a blanket statement on all these decisions. These companies are making it. It does cause me concern. Right? Yeah, I understand it. You know if I have a Facebook page if someone kept coming on my Facebook page, writing my address and saying I'd stolen election and that Hey, let's go rally outside his house. Would delete that from my Facebook page. You know what I mean? I would not. I would not simply give someone the opportunity to attack me in that way on something that I for lack of a better term. Oh, So I understand why Twitter doesn't want the president on their their their platform. I understand why Amazon doesn't want to be involved here and you know, they have that right? The First Amendment freedom of speech, not not freedom from consequence so big. That's a little more complicated than you know. And here's the thing. I'm not to make any First Amendment argument the protections in the bill of rights and protections against government. They're also instructive on kind of how we do things. Right. I mean, you know, in under general sense, they're instructive. And you hope people abide by that and the other thing. Just lastly and locally. I see this also with The way in which our own governor has handled the press conferences around Cove it. There are publications and legitimate news outlets that haven't had a question since March. And those who have haven't spoken up about this. Do you think that's a problem? You know, so I think there have been more questions from some of these people argue that did not mention a specific one. Another North State Carolina Journal would be one Or state. Joanna one? Yeah, Journals got questions. I know that for sure, because every time it happens, I think it's interesting because it's run by a guy I used to work for. I believe Phil Berger. They Maybe it's press access to the governor. Right now. It is an issue. Although I kind of like the call in system they've got because there are number of far flung publications to get questions that wouldn't otherwise. Um So while this is an issue, it's not one that is top of mind for me and in a particularly because of the way Twitter works and kind of the media act ecosystem, I don't think See that I'm able to two questions they might have asked. You would've absence and why that that's a good question. I'll ask it as well. That's certainly an imperfect system. But it just it is not a top of mind. Problem for me right now. Travis Fain WRL. Hey, appreciate the time this morning star. Let's get back to it, okay? Thanks for having me on take care. All right, Ross.
