"Survey for news radio W. R. VA said you see the story we we barely touched on it yesterday but I think it deserves a mention that one of the things that governor Northam signed into law this weekend is you no longer have to present an ID when you go to vote I mean seriously take your partisan hat off do you really think that helps with voting in Virginia is there anybody in Virginia who can't get an ID who doesn't function with an ID that is the state makes this available to you for free that you can't find an ID if you want to vote I call B. S. on that it's just not true and I know what's happening and I'm sorry for the people that I like who are Democrats you're participating in voter fraud you are enabling voter fraud and you know it you know that you've got groups of people within your party we don't all kind of roll our eyes and talk about how Kennedy won the election over Nixon because of because of Chicago and the votes in Illinois because we know your party is so innocent and nice and sweet and blaze by the rules we know there's a faction of the Democrat party which has always been full of cheaters are they the same people that ran the KKK here in the south and there's a group of people who will continue to do that today and you're enabling them and it deserves to be called out don't don't lied to me and tell me that when elections are being decided by in many cases less than a thousand votes after hundreds of thousands of votes being cast that you're not deliberately taking steps to keep the numbers loosey goosey so that somebody maybe not you but somebody in your party can put the fix and I'm prepared to lose any election that I'm observing or apart off as long as I think that we're all committed to integrity in the election process and Democrats I hate to say this because I still have a few friends left in the Democrat party but Democrats are showing that they don't have that same commitment and I really truly resent it a lot very I take it very very personally seven fifty one on the is to let's get a check on sports with Gerry has good morning Hey good morning rough times for Carl Kyle Larson and it's all self inflicted the NASCAR driver use the N. word during a livestream of a virtual race on Sunday and Monday lost both of his sponsors McDonalds and credit one was suspended without indefinitely by NASCAR and suspended by indefinitely without pay by his team chip Ganassi racing Larson apologized video on a video posted on social media know this harm can't be undone I understand the damage is probably on repairable and ya I own up to that but I just want to let you all know how.

"Station newsradio W. R. V. A. I think it's very nice all these people who have been taking time out to make kind of homemade masks I'm surprised that everybody doesn't just instinctively understand that different fabrics are going to do a different you know level of job of keeping yeah there's desert partisan you know there's a science to to it and them you can't forget that yeah I mean it's a nice idea but you know it's almost and I'm not being flippant when I say this it's almost like the civil war you know you go on the civil war towards and they talk about all the the ladies at home would take their dresses and cut them up and make them into bandages you know the curtains would come down and be at the top it's odd that in twenty twenty there seem to be some similarities there anyway how are you doing I am fine how are you okay it was fun it was it was fine we can kind of I want to say boring at all because it was boring just different from the norm you know really for the most part it automatically when granted the grocery for fifteen minutes one time in the rest other than the daily jog that was that was about it as far as being outside what a beautiful day yesterday well my goodness today yesterday was incredible nice day to do some yard work at is that what you all do it we did some not a ton but we did some and yeah it was it was you know kinda same with us just kind of I did we deliver that to the grocery store trip on Saturday and other than that the actual war people are not a talkative mood at the grocery store are that they're in they've got their blinders on I was surprised how many people help me because I've been coming to the office I've been doing the grocery store to stop the need is the first time Linda had gone and she was like holding the note only correct one or both and so yeah it's you know what did she think well it was just it was just it just gives it puts off a vibe she's like I'm afraid the touch anything you know and so not that she's a phobia but it's just having seen the way people are acting kind of exacerbates the feeling and I'm not saying anybody's doing anything inappropriate I'm just saying it the vibe is different you know you can't help but walk in most of the grocery stores in our neighborhood so you know how it is John you always see people you know and it become you stop and chat and nobody was stopping and chatting not not a soul no one had a word to say was unusually silent I thought and I still don't understand I get to do a little and I meant to do this last night I still don't get why the supply chain of paper products at this stage I thought it was kind of a novelty something to laugh at at the beginning when everyone cleared out the toilet paper and rice use but at least the two stores near us that I've been in the last week did still wiped out not that limited supplies where I was Saturday wonder what that's all about are we depended on a supply chain that I just don't understand this yeah I'm not exactly sure either the meat case which is also just wiped out interesting interesting I'm glad everybody is safe and everybody is OK talking a few minutes okay thank you it is five thirty eight on this Monday morning the thirtieth day of March twenty twenty so one more full day of March and then we click into April and as you heard in the news cast and and both from Gary and.

"Way away to me forty four degrees right now and that's your weather on newsradio W. R. V. S. some looking at this nifty brochure that a a printed off and it's all about our British landscapes trip to England and Scotland and Wales coming up September twelfth through the twenty fourth and I mean it is a great trip when I was that read on the road on Friday had a couple people come up to me at the car show and they said now tell us about the trip so fortunate they had printed up these little books that I could give them that includes every day the stops that we take the things that we see in our our trip through London it's organized by Colette which is a great travel agency seriously it's been around for over a hundred years so you know they they know what they're doing and it's kind of a white glove treatment so I've been on a whole bunch of different types of trips you can imagine when I was a business man and the Middle East who now there's some there's some trips over there that are like high and five star six star kind of craziness with gold plated bathrooms and am in mid blows your mind I've never felt poor in mind I'm not a rich person I didn't come from a rich family but I have never felt poor until I lived in the Middle East and then I realized wow up my my income in my standard of living is so different from these nouveau riche people who need a wake up every morning and the government gives them a check so they're used to traveling in style and that then I've done it a backpacking trips through South America and kayaking and an art to cut this one he and it's you know it's kind of between the two right it's not the five star where they'd be your feet never touch the ground now I can't take it to that but it sure as heck isn't backpacking so have you been thinking it's been years since I've been over to Great Britain and I'd love to see the sights again or maybe it's been on your bucket list for a long long time this is your chance to go and I'm really excited about being a part of this group that's going over there to be W. R. V. R. V. A. you've heard me talk about urchins you know the kids they're obsessed with the machines I rail about those cell phones and computers they stare out into day and night Fred arranging their youth away but there are times those machines can be quite valuable if you are seventy five or older and you want a life insurance policy worth a hundred thousand dollars or more we buy seventy five will appraise it free and help you converted to cash but you must pick up your cell phone and call eight four four we buy seventy five or visit we by seventy five one word dot com that's we by seventy five dot com imagine never having to pay a life insurance premium again there's no better feeling than having the cash you need for all your necessities you've seen we by seventy five on TV heard them on the radio so use those machines to get a free appraisal of your policy by calling eight four four we buy seventy five or visiting we by seventy five dot com I don't think this corona viruses to totally made up for a free cap situation seems to be a problem here fortunately we have been told now that the two cases of corona virus that were hypothetically going on in central Virginia that those individuals have been clear thank goodness right yesterday morning there were about twenty three hundred confirmed cases worldwide and eighty deaths twenty four hours later the updated numbers are four thousand four hundred and seventy four cases worldwide and a hundred and seven deaths so I you know if we were to put in perspective what what with the numbers if it was just the flu I'd get there probably at that the numbers would be exponentially higher right the people around the world millions and millions of billion people dying from the flu but since this is so crazy contagious and it takes two weeks in theory or what or maybe not in theory but we're told that it takes two weeks for some people to realize they've got it or for the doctors to diagnose it I'd what do you think this means going forward I mean it is this one of those cases like the the movies where you see the map suddenly you know the red starts to spread all across the map I don't know I will tell you that even though I of China and there's a I mean believe me there's a special deal right now two hundred ninety nine dollars to Beijing airfare and hotel which is kind of shocking truth it's hard to believe but you know what that is that's the that's the government of China subsidizing the trip they're trying to get people to come and then they charge you three hundred dollars for your these are what so it's not as cheap as it would be but I mean really you can't go to China on your own without that kind of special deal for that that price having said all of that pimping.

R. is this anything couple different stories have been brought to my attention I'm gonna run them by you you simply tell us anything or not and we start with this this is a breaking news some breaking news out of New York Eli manning giants quarterback has announced he's going to retire while after sixteen seasons in the NFL Eli manning to Superbowl rings won the Superbowl that was here in Indy yeah against the patriots are you I manning hanging up after sixteen years is this anything be the patriots twice did me yes two thousand seven in twenty eleven been in the league for sixteen seasons two Superbowl rings paid me brother what are the chances that brothers in the same family it's going to be done and brothers from the same family what are the chances of two brothers go on the heat wins multiple super bowls Peyton did it with colds and the Broncos any life twice with the New York Giants the barber brothers do that did tiki and rendez both get one one of them play for Tampa Bay but I'm not sure if you follow the same position no different positions yeah we yeah I'm just looking at some of the stats here meaning just one of five NFL players in the history of the least two Superbowl MVPs a I mean Joe Montana bart Starr Tom Brady Terry Bradshaw is the all I am I I feel I manning a hall of Famer five years from now is he going to be inducted into the pro football hall found first about I mean im pei manning first ballot obviously got another year to go and then you lie I don't know about that he played big in big games but I don't think at any point in his career the I. manning's career he was one of the top five quarterbacks in the league now he played in a golden era of cornerbacks it's not really his fault as brother in Tom Brady and drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger Aaron Rodgers he was never a top five quarterback but it's going to be real close he's gonna have some supporters and he's gonna have some folks that say he didn't really put up the numbers but either way man on behalf of everybody that hates the patriots the way that I do slow plaque for career well played Eli manning thank you for not letting those jerks win the Superbowl in our city and remember you turned up his nose the draft is the eighty eight yeah I got drafted by the Chargers right right yeah I'm not going no thanks that's how much he hated that organization most people would love to live in San Diego Eli manning was like all go live in New Jersey just get me the hell away from these people is this anything there was a story this week about a guy who found what's normally a ninety dollar electric toothbrushes target but it had a sticker on it that was labeled wrong and it looked like it only cost one cent so there is this employee named pouring retarded Tory out refuse outsell tune for penny so he threatened to sue Tory and posted her photo on line was trying to shame I was like a really unflattering photo right yeah the internet took the side of Tory and started a go fund me campaign to send her on vacation and now everybody using the hashtag target toward like it my first thought was I wish I'd worn make up to work that day I was a little bit concerned I was reflecting in thinking I hope this doesn't go viral I hope that nothing comes of this because that's not going to be a good picture this person obviously wants that attention and I never want.

"Nine twenty one on news radio W. R. V. A. it's been a great morning even though we're a little disoriented around here it's kind of that and yesterday I was I kept thinking it was Sunday night and I was I don't know it's weird I had a good new year's eve Jordan I I hope I hope you had a good when did you do anything crazy for new here no nothing nothing too crazy so you know I finished up here finished up some obligations that I had for my day job and then I have the afternoon and and night to to do whatever so I went to I was at my local all the store and you know I was you love all day I do I do and I was staring at the canned foods thinking that they might have some black eyed peas for for new year's day and I'm staring at the the canned goods and all of a sudden I hear someone yell my name and I turn around and it's friend of mine that I hadn't seen and and all in a while and you know we just stay you know how it is yeah run into someone you haven't seen in awhile at the grocery store you just stand there and you kinda girl you know how's life been would be up to you you know it's you know we need to get together soon and everything she asked what I was doing for new years and you know that I was like I honestly don't know because you know my my fiance doesn't necessarily like to to be out and about on new year's eve you know she she I mean I certainly understand the the concern you know with drinking and driving and stuff I think I think she was a bit overly concerned about the the possibility of of there being too many drunks on the same drivers yeah there were a lot of police out I will say on when we were even earlier in the night we saw state police all over the gas yeah unfortunately though she and her husband my friend she and her husband they have a house that's there at the light less than ten minutes from from where I live is like basically right around the corner so we I I talked to my fiance about it and was just like Hey I ran into a friend of mine she invited us to their house for new year's eve and stuff do you want to go and she was like he is all you know how far away is it are we going to be out on the roads like are we gonna be out late all that stuff and you know we decided we go so we showed up about nine thirty in our I a we had a great time it was about ten people they're just really really low key we had some drinks had some champagne at midnight watch the ball drop and I didn't get a chance to get a nap in after the show on new year's eve so by eleven thirty on sitting there on the couch and I'm trying to hold my eyes open make it to midnight so I know I was I was just you and I were up you were up earlier than I was but you know yeah but it's still a you know and I took after the show Tuesday and I knew you had you have to stay and is so many other things and tie up loose ends and post the content on online our little podcast that we do but I took a nap and I was still I mean around around midnight I was wondering if I would make it but I I I did yes I I mean it's a midnight as well we left we hung out a little while longer we got home a little bit you know about one fifteen so from there we just we there was it was let's just get fed I am so tired I just need to I can I can still I can fall asleep anywhere and house out I know that we talked around Christmas about how your fiance is a huge Christmas person and she like celebrating your round so you can remind her somebody reminded me of this that the twelve days of Christmas are still in effect right now right a start on Christmas yeah so I believe let's see according to my math seven eight nine ten eleven she has told the the entire weekend she gatal celebrate well fortunately as far as I know cheesy hallmark Christmas movies are still going on for the time being so she can definitely get our fix that we like we like to watch chops on Food Network too so that's all man it's always a nice little distraction sometimes when you turn on the Food Network chopped seems like it's on for you know twenty four hour marathon it's either that or during the holidays they were really playing the holiday baking champ out yeah they were they were printed that out so hard yeah but and I will say my only gripe with these food competition shows is every say it doesn't matter what they're preparing it could be you know chopped or it could be holiday baking a cake whatever it's always you know the one of the contestants is like there's some sort of colossal mistakes been made and they're the clock is like you have less than ten minutes to get your dish together and all of a sudden it cuts to them you know when they're with their producer interview there like I was freaking out and then it cuts to a judge and the judge is like you're out of time you need to get this on the right right you're doing right and I just like okay you're you're doing this for dramatic effect but I really like we we know what's happening we now editing to editing can change a lot and if you like shop to there is this each each if you wanna know the behind the scenes of how that show got started and what it almost was like I'm gonna send you to reality blurred dot com so you go.

"Six hundred W. R. E. C. and ninety two point one FM thank you for joining us we got to cut you a special cotton ball program in about five or six minutes we've been talking about this couple well this mother no children known in Maryland we'll get to that also about a university of Memphis Tigers left so playing up here let's go to Chris Chris you only got about well about three minutes so tell me what you think before we go to cotton ball preview trying to understand brother caught I just want to make a couple of quick thoughts today not be quiet and that you make sense of it all go ahead if I was on trial in the juror stood up and said it doesn't matter what the evidence is I'm going to both him guilty I will hold the DA and the judge give him all no no no no no let me tell you how it works no no no but to make a statement this not factually correct and I can't live their plants any Oakland no juror hold on in in in modern times no judge is going allow jurors at the trial is about to go on trolley no judge is going allow that to happen he's going to dismiss that you're a song that is going to happen but I understand your point the issue here is the house has it still mine it's already done it it brought the charges the to prove the charges it's no longer allowed do you understand what I'm saying you can take to the Senate you can't dictate to the Senate the only thing the Senate is either going to do is have the trial and not at the trial they have several things they can do they can dismiss it out right which I don't think it's going to happen because this not politically expedient but if she doesn't hurry up and give those charges McConnell might do that and the only need fifty one votes and he's got that more than likely she's going to give them the charges and you have some kind of trial but he's not going to be convicted all the sun has set up and out of print won't go head no you go ahead what what before I got to get out of here okay yeah but I understand all that but I'm just saying even if you feel that way as a congressman or senator you shouldn't get up there and say there why not according to who what when you mean how according to who the house did it she did not know what a minute what the hell they're doing well but they didn't but they did they did hello well I'm not taking any sides here and that's the problem they don't seen in this country which you'll decide this still is still what's supposed to be done the right way about the concept that I make I'm with the dental that's right right so you're all set to a total of someone like me that scare do you use it is with with what ship is done what NATO has done she has many times say he's guilty of this he's guilty of that and and and I gotta get are you Chris do me a favor call me tomorrow because I'll be here on Friday and we'll have time to talk about it I'll let you see him straight ahead we have a special infirm and there's very informative program a a a Cotton Bowl special that's our own the way will join you tomorrow on the Ferguson program right at four o'clock have a great holiday have a great new year hope you had a great Christmas yes program is straight ahead didn't know I was coming but it's here and it's going to be very informative.

"Hundred W. R. E. C. I. ninety two point one FM hi welcome back it is the best for your sin shall be destroyed is we are chatting it right now Alice if he's right there waiting this article impeachment vote to take place Democrats extended the debate hi instead of wrapping it up to the top the hour family of trying to get more into prime time in middle and west coast I get closer and closer because again there you know what's kicks other thing all right will extend this and try to make our final our argument there is a daily beast article which is no fan the present that just came out saying quote them's fantasy paid Senate GOP won't rescue them on impeachment this is store going Peterman has representatives has become a foregone conclusion all but a few Democrats most likely joined by zero Republicans will vote to impeach president trump for time house Democrats have the vote in the GOP controlled Senate would not be a foregone conclusion in the president's favor there was some optimism that moderate Republicans might vote to convict trump after a trial perhaps not in the numbers required to remove them at least enough to render him damaged goods and have bipartisan judgment condemning the president's action but those hopes take a hit in the past week and now those same Democrats are trying to figure out ways to cope with a cold bitter January I've disappointment as recently as last week some house Democrats were still fear theorizing how the GOP Majority Leader senator Mitch McConnell could be pressured by moderate members of this conference to conduct a longer trial in the Senate opening up the possibility of a new game changing document that could come Forder testimony that might get things back on track but as the Senate begins preparing in earnest for a January impeachment trial the hope has collapsed among Democrats as the president McConnell another key Republicans have made sure that they have all agreed on the idea of a short trial that would feature no new witnesses not only that the GOP leader has dismissed the notion that senators are impartial jurors calling the trial a quote political process and openly talking about coordinating the chambers proceedings with the White House for the house Democrats have where the impeachment investigation for months it's been a deflating predictable turn of events as they slowly realize impeachment trial as well increasingly unlikely to yield any kind of surprise our eleventh hour bomb shell that they have been hoping for in preparation now for the disappointment some top democratic lawmakers already down playing the role of the Senate will play quote at the end of the day the most important jury will not be Mitch McConnell Lindsey Graham in the Republican controlled Senate it will be the American people that is what represented became Jeffries said he's the fourth ranking house Democrats today for the for the house other Democrats Mike Tom not not only counts get a Democrat from New Jersey challenge the notion that the Senate trial is a zero sum game quote the choices and it isn't a binary between acquittal in removal what is important is the message also we sent to the American people and a future presidents about the legitimacy of this conduct the nature of the vote in the Senate will also send the message it is completely on party lines will majority of centers right to convict we don't know how the country feels about the whole thing the day after is not something we can predict sure you can look at the polls right now they're saying what you're doing is stupid party send and it's an attempted coup and people don't like it but whatever hope Democrats have for a shifting Senate trial rests on the possibility that witnesses could be called a prospect that looks increasingly slam as the Senate leaders begin bickering about the process of determining the ground rules for an impeachment trial on Sunday the democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer send a letter to McConnell ask him to call for witnesses in the trial he would not testify in the house because of a blanket White House ban on cooperating with the enquiring Jim rasta McConnell issue subpoenas for testimony from the acting White House your staff Mick Mulvaney former national security adviser John Bolton and to move any subordinates Robert player Michael Duffy he also asked for subpoenas for a limited set of documents guess what McConnell responded by roundly dismissing Schumer's calls saying quote this Senate is meant to act as judge and jury to hear a trial not to rerun the entire fact finding investigation of the Democrats and the things they didn't do when they have the ability to do it on the house side I leave it there with that but that some of the latest breaking news the Democrats are set for quote total disappointment five three five nine seven three two five three five nine seven three two.

"W. R. V. it didn't take long guess what Ralph north Ms gun grand his special session designed X. blessedly specifically to take guns away from law abiding citizens it's over already they can be ended N. within about an hour state house of delegates in the state Senate said we're done we are done we'll be back after the election in November look Ralph Northam was coming after law abiding people you know that I know that and the fact is that law abiding people said we're not interested in your games we're not interested in the nonsense we're not going to allow you to do this we're not going to allow you to disarm law abiding citizens now the problem the problem is that he's not done I mean he's done with this but he's not done and there will be more attempts and you know what now here's the real problem we're talk about all of this I want to know why state Senate Majority Leader Tommy Norman's proposed a bill that would ban guns in public buildings right this is one of those first steps this is exactly what we expect from the left wingers we expected from the gun grabbers we expected from the Democrats up there on Capitol square because that's what they do they've been looking for a way to disarm you they don't want you to be able to fly back they don't want you to be able to be dependent on yourself they do not want you to be independent or secure that's that's what the left once they want you dependent on them it's the only way their system can work they need to demonized people they need to victimize people they need to pit people against each other and Ralph north of course was ready to do that along with Justin Fairfax mark caring and I and the rest of the folks who inhabit the the uber left perspective that side of the spectrum they've got that so I would like to know why Tommy Norman's introduced a bill that quite frankly is identical do this sort of nonsense that we would expect from those old sure left wingers I don't get it and it was so outrageous that senator Stanley said he was going to resign and then V. V. Republican caucus wouldn't let him resign Virginia Republican center resigned his leadership role and the caucus says we're not gonna let your results we don't want you to resign we want you to stay exactly where you are end center Stanley was going to resign specifically because Tommy Norman was advancing this absurd absolutely absurd bill by the way earlier today very early in the morning this summary O. V. E. R. the governor's measures had been introduced and I'm gonna get to those because it's a it's even more outrageous than what you thought it was and it was designed to take guns away let us be very clear on this it has nothing at all to do with safety it as nothing good all to do with security has nothing to do with anything other than folks on the left side of the aisle who won you depended on them to the point that you can not even defend yourself that's what this is all about every single last part of it is about making you dependence they want you dependent on them for defense they want you dependent on them for education they want you dependent on them for health care they want you dependent on them for for day one you depended because once you are dependent you will do whatever you need to do to keep the folks upon whom you are dependent in power you would think at all to do for yourself the last thing you would think my gosh why would why would anybody do that when you're dependent on someone I mean think about it you have a small baby I mean a really smart little newborn little newborn is dependent on mom.
