Iranian military acknowledges it shot down Ukrainian Boeing 737 jet by mistake
"Iran admits it shot down jetliner by mistake and if your Radharani Iran's revolutionary guard on Saturday the knowledge that it accidentally shot down the Ukrainian jetliner that crashed earlier this week killing hundred seventy six people on board after the government had repeatedly denied western accusations about evidence that it was responsible the plane was shot down early Wednesday hours after Ron launched a ballistic missile attack on two military bases housing U. S. troops in Iraq in retaliation for the killing of Iraqi general because some solar many Somali by the way they should also say general and terrorist Qasem Soleimani and in an American airstrike in Baghdad no one was hurt in the attack on the U. S. basis the admission raises a host of new questions such as what Iran why Iran did not shut down its International Airport airspace what was bracing for U. S. reprisal it also undermine the credibility of information provided by senior officials who for three days had adamantly dismissed allegations of missile of a missile strike as western propaganda Roger knowledge but also alters the narrative around its confrontation of U. S. in a way that could anger the Iranian people Iran had promised harsh revenge for soul monies death but instead of killing American soldiers its forces downed a civilian plane in which most passengers were Ronnie and and none survived general Amir Ali house the day I don't know the head of the guards aerospace division said he should accept full responsibility for the shoot down an address broadcast by CTV he said that when he learned about the downing of the plane I wished I was dead that's good which I wish you were dead too I he said he he raised the possibility to his superiors that its forces shot down the plane as early as Wednesday morning because the simultaneous occurrence of the launch of the crash was suspicious whatever the guy's name is said guard forces ringing the capital had beefed up their air defenses and were at the highest level of readiness fearing that the US would retaliate he said he suggested to Roger close its airspace but no action was taken he said the airlines pilot crew had done nothing wrong but officer made the bad decision opened fire on the plane after mistaking it for a cruise missile they mistake they mistake the plane a passenger jet with almost two hundred people wanted for a missile this is how bad their defense systems are in Iran come on do well man Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei you a real piece of garbage expressed his deep sympathy to the families of the victims are called on the armed forces to pursue probable shortcomings and guilt in the painful incident Ukraine's president does Lipsky said the crash investigation should continue and the perpetrator should be brought to justice he said a Roger compensate victims' families any request an official apology through diplomatic channels pretty near line not criticized Iran's decision leave their space open despite the hostilities so what really happened is Iran screwed up what really happened is Iran backed an attack of the US embassy in Iraq right Seoul money was behind the attack it was planning more as he sat in Baghdad Iraq not in his own country or run an American contractor was killed others were maimed and injured so we retaliated by taking out solo money and his sidekick dead Iran decided we're going to retaliate as well but it's just going to sort of be kicking dirt of the American shoes they could have probably killed Americans they wanted to they didn't wisely because you kill one American you see what happens we take out who you call a top general who we call a disgusting terrorist so they retaliate for no reason because they started it ed van they mistake a commercial jetliner for a missile come on man what are you talking about here and to the left of course this country including members of Congress have been blaming president Donald Trump for the Ukrainian airliner being shot down yes members of Congress have out now called the president out as as the person responsible for Iran now with meeting that shut down the jetliner little while ago I I posted over on Twitter which is a sure simple question with the far left lose now who are blaming president Donald Trump will be no apologize for being so wrong as Iran admits that they did it one eight hundred five zero one seventy eighty one eight hundred five zero one seven zero eight zero are you one of those who blame the president for a rod shooting got a commercial jetliner are you one of those who thinks he somehow has increased the hostility between us and Iran that is that is not the case are you one who believe that are you one who walks around believing that he for some reason is starting World War three although he's never been a war hawk he's a he was not a supporter of the Iraq war he's a guy who is restrained in his response to Iraq should be going over drones instead of killing hundreds of Iranians he backed off and said you know what let's not worth killing a bunch of people let's take out one of one of their drones are you someone who actually sat back and believed to that his response was out of control and somehow incompetent or you like be a do you say to yourself you know pretty measured what he's doing could be a whole lot worse but it's pretty measured you're taking out a terrorist that we've been looking for and we've got opportunities before just to do it take him out was smart they should around we know where you are no matter where you are and we can retaliate we can respond no matter where you are that can happen and in fact we just did so the money was not some had a state he was not as Bernie Sanders says some for dignitary he's not as the left says somebody who going after him provokes war because he was a let some for a member of the parliament he was the chief terrorism strategist for Iran the terrorism that is perpetrating with the money that Obama gave them and our president taking him out was the right thing to do because Ronnie shaking in his boots right now so much so that it sent a bunch of missiles over the didn't do anything and then shot down a commercial jetliner they're so out of sorts so whoever was that shot down the jetliner it's their fault his fault shortly Iran's fault for doing it no fault of the president but I really want to know if if some of you have been to convince route trump derangement syndrome and indoctrination this president somehow went from anti war guy to let's go start wars around the world there have been some this week who suggested to me he's doing it as a diversion because this will help him get reelected he's gonna get reelected anyway dummy look who's running on the

"Hour at six fifteen on talking Kelly a ten and one of three one WGY welcome back to the Ben Shapiro shell I MG some rants from Seattle I am filling in today and tomorrow for band homelessness is plaguing American cities all cities run by progressives we're talking about Los Angeles San Francisco New York Austin and of course here where I live in Seattle it is been a problem that seems to be getting more and more and more out of control no matter what the politicians in charge thing to do and usually it seems to be that all they're doing is throwing money at programs that we know don't actually work in fact there are a lot of ideas that actually do work programs that actually work what if he's progressive strongholds they're not actually being implement no I had hoped that a recent episode of sixty minutes would push politics completely aside and focus on the ideas that we know will work talk about the actual root causes of homelessness but of course guess who was hosting that particular segment on sixty minutes Anderson Cooper and so of course they decided not to focus on actual root causes not to focus on the reason why so many people are actually living out on the streets they decided to claim that high rents is a meaningful because of homelessness that is of course absolutely not true so rather than talk to someone like Anderson Cooper who I don't think would come on the show anyway I decide I decided to talk to someone who actually knows what it is he's talking about joining me to discuss the issue of homelessness is a man who doesn't really need a massive introduction he's a former presidential candidate he's a world renowned neurosurgeon it is the current secretary of housing and urban development joining me on the line is Dr Ben Carson Dr Carson thank you so much for coming on my pleasure critically this talk about such an important topic do you sing simply citing high ran as a reason for homelessness is an accurate reflection of the reality whether we're talking about Seattle or LA Austin wherever well no it's obviously multi pictorial does does the high price have something to do with that of course is that where you have the largest number of regulations you have the the the largest rent numbers and subsequently the largest number of people can't afford the rent but you have to recognize that as a society we have done something that is almost unpardonable you know back in the eighties in our attempt to become very compassionate we took mentally ill people and we talked about on the street and with no ability to take care of themselves you couple that with that a tremendous opioid.

"Proud to be a medicine wheel managers everyone this Sunday every single study planning for prosperity radar everyone if you missed the first segment coli's please might could get a reply can can people get a reply on on the on the WGY website right you can listen to the podcast podcast this is something you're going to want to listen to multiple times because it's going to take awhile to sink in because everything we have planned for four decades all just got change if you have money in retirement accounts yeah and and and Mike you you put it I I think you did a fantastic absolutely fantastic job educating you know educating our listeners and to you know certainly educating all of us around what we are learning what we've learned early on right with respect to this particular act right which did get again put into a spending bill right just looked at it slipped in and and again everyone there will be changes right to your retirement strategy as a result indoor if they're not there should pay well even of those who have done for our clients we done great plans where we have incorporated trust says the beneficiary of retirement accounts to have some control on the the speed or velocity that money comes out of accounts it's all gone Mike here is the biggest problem that I have with all of this and you know you know I'm going to come at it from an investment standpoint right you know that's where I'm going to come out this from everyone the problem now is the problem now is is that as Mike has said your tax bracket is going to be impacted greatly by this right it is going to be impacted greatly meaning you will have to pay more taxes right setters Paramus right all else equal then previous right than previous if you are collecting these monies out of your let's just think of the demographics who as as children are going to be inheriting I arrays from mom and dad people in their fifty zero sure maybe just maybe early sixties in their peak earning years and and now we are going to keep on more taxable income this is just pure money grabbers all of this and my my problem Mike my problem with that is again people have to pay those taxes and I know that our clients that we work you know that we work with most of those clients when they have big tax bills guess where it comes from their investment dollars right it's that simple therefore everyone it adds an element that was not there right to the planning side again that was not there just one week ago right he had it's going to mean that most likely you're going to have to draw money is out of your investments right that you did not previously want to draw to pay tax bill think about this and and now let's let's just use a hypothetical in my family has four kids yeah got between my siblings there is an enormous gap between the highest earner and the lowest earner yes meaning some are paying much more intestinal right on now we have to look at if I have in my for my mother a retirement account and then she has an after tax account woo is going to get the retirement accounts now the lowest earning child now there's additional complexities to the planning the the children who are in the highest tax bracket they now have to get the after tax money those in the lowest brackets are going to get the retirement account money it's just adding more and more complexity because now we have to balance this new nonsense that money's coming out of retirement account so quickly much much quicker rate the velocity I think use the term velocity Mike and and that's exactly that's exactly what it is though the velocity has been has been cranked up a notch everyone so I think with respect to from us what you can expect yeah in addition to obviously this introduction that that we've just that we just discussed expect a lot of documents right expect a lot of white papers that were gonna make available to you so and again they could be coming as soon as this week Mike right we're working on it right now we we were already out of webinars with tax professionals insurance professionals estate planning professionals because this is also going to impact should you your mom or dad and grandma or grandpa should you got me thinking about Roth conversions at your tax bracket versus maybe you have children that are in a higher tax bracket and now we are going to just try to exchange the tax liability from one lower earner too high right right right right it's in then when we do the Roth we still do not have to take any required minimum distributions while alive so the money can compound but when the kids inherit the Ross sure they are now on the new sped up schedule as well yeah you have a seat seems like there's all it's it's gonna be great for us from a planning perspective but it's gonna be a lot of work for the client is gonna be a lot of work for clients and and that's what we're here for everyone so what I will do is I'm gonna throw out the phone number in the office five one eight three four eight seven seven seven zero again Madison wealth managers five one eight three four eight seven seven seven zero what I would say also Mike is also on the internet if you want to get to us via the website W. W. W. dot Madison M. A. D. I. S. O. N. managers dot com and everyone again we can't underline this enough in that to Mike's point we've gone through a series of educational items of this week getting ready for this so therefore that means we'll be prepping the white papers getting you ready for this so again give the office a call the white papers could be available any moment just get line didn't queue and certainly to that point our concierge rob will get them out to you as soon as they are available in just a moment of levity because I am fired up this week because of us and I want to thank you all the listening audience because you put me back at number one on website clicks again at Madison Honda jurors dot com every I didn't think we were going to go there but now that I needed something to pay now that we have now that Mike has bagged his way to number one on the clicks the Google clicks in what would you call it analysis analytics analytics the Google clicks analytics now that my kids back this way I urge everyone to please please return to clicking on my face Dan Polanski actual work before this was this again it was a slow steady climb lower left to the upper right invision at everyone it's like the stock going from two to twenty might clicks on my face and now Mike came out and again I'll give Mike I will give you all the credit in the world for promoting that for getting out wanting to get back on top my people rally that they heard that the rallying cry and they came out your people do rally there's there's no doubt about it everyone listening thank you for clicking on Mike a click at a click as a click as a click but let's return let's return to looking at the N. as we know we all want to wait wait and now I'm in the next segment we didn't do any last week but I have some big parting gifts in the next segment big name big Tasha resting but you know what I'm gonna talk about the the secure rack you know who could be a major beneficiary of this the life insurance industry very interesting you say that Mike because it yeah yeah I could see that with without that without a doubt because now that we cannot stretch a retirement account twenty five thirty thirty five forty years and we know our tax brackets in the next ten years are going to be higher than they are today that's just the math right we know that social security is going to have some kind of means pastor something to it in the future life insurance they have such a powerful lobby yeah that's still the best leverage of getting money in a tax advantaged way I was just going to that action right right that this could be a huge boom for the insurance you're crazy question Mike and I know we're not there yet and we haven't dug that deep into it as of yet because this is just breaking everyone I wonder if they're lobby was involved maybe a little bit I and I hate to be a conspiracy all right what I okay benefiting the most from this right I wonder not you and I favors yeah I wonder who's attached to this very interesting but like but that the life insurance industry now we all know that they have to have the life insurance there are also the purveyors of annuity products that have these guaranteed lifetime income streams attached to them but they're gonna be damage there because that product was often used for a stretch I array to guarantee income for the next generation now that that is going to get blown up I wonder if that's going to cost them money what to your point like here's the interesting thought there is will they be able to market themselves as an alternative right to your traditional tax shelter that's I one thing they're going to have to manufacture a product yeah that is finite in life based on this ten year now window right right where you can maybe perhaps take a little risk off the ambassador easier for them to filling to make sure that they can get those payments outs but it but it has to be a a the only a ten year with fine structure any interest going to come out with those without without question they will be out with those probably I think our white papers will beat them to the punch but it's gonna be very it's going to be very close with at the back stay within the next several weeks this provisions of this but can be law have been around for since early in twenty nineteen so they might already be back to manufacture things it might be sooner rather than later but there's gonna be a lot of interesting thanks we are going to hit all things market when we come back in the second half everyone we're gonna get everyone ready for some discussion regarding two thousand twenty right around the corner he Mike brown that's managing director Mike brown all fired up today on this Sunday we certainly have Mister producer with this is well played for prosperity we do our medicine wealth managers we shall see you right back after a break halftime everyone.

"From WGY and welcome back to coast to coast mature what's with us Mitch before we go back to calls you had that story regarding suicide go ahead yeah you William James made the point that if you're driven to the depths of despair surely you can wait just one day more we just one day more because life is an extraordinary polarity and as much as life is it's tragedy on us and it does it also visits Sir good news on us and there can be this unbelievable polarity in life days sometimes go in cycles it's something I've watched for my entire life and I would implore people if they feel they're in the depths of despair give it one more day among other things I read about other things to talk about other things but how metaphysics can help with depression but that is one profoundly simple important idea wait one more day life is a polarity things reverse absolutely Mitch I had a friend who took prescription pills and to an excess that we did not know all the the whole group of us did not know I ended ended up killing him in the a sad story about all this was as you know he was having some rough Financial Times and we get a we help them out as much as we could but he had an aunt who is ninety two years old who when she dies was gonna give him two hundred and fifty thousand dollars and we would always joke with him about that she's going to outlive you would need to laugh and stuff like that will he ended up dying on December twenty seventh of two thousand eighteen she died at the age of ninety two two months later well you know George I've always had difficulty over the course of my search with the concept of faith but I've decided that faith is a kind of persistence if you can persist you have faith and that story is a perfect example of the unexpected nature of life that persistence is worth it it is worth it I I want to make that point to everybody on the even the holiday season so Traci you out there listening to check in with us every holiday for the rest of our time and let's just keep moving ahead and things will change for you they will get better and one day your son a wake up and go well you know what this is silly and the kids will be old enough to understand in the you'll be back in their lives that they could come tomorrow it sure could it sure could let's go to Marcel in London Ontario in Canada great area hi Marcel George I'd like to throw something that mission give us perspective on this sure now there is it has to do with the couple reoccurring themes that have been a part of close for a couple decades now how you in our values to do these experiments when there's a hurricane yeah approaching the coast or there's fires in California there's droughts and you get your audience millions of people let's say two I meditate flat steering that hurricane out to sea or bringing rain to those drought stricken areas now it's now I know people that are into trends in another case and those groups that experiments when they would meditate hundreds of them and they would bring down the crime rate in the particular city right so if we can do positive things like rats I believe that when we're in fear or anger or we give into our unbalanced nature our dysfunctions that we have no idea how powerful we are as spiritual sparks and what I'm saying is that we are in charge of the weather on this plan in our collective nature as on a planet wide consciousness so we bring on the hurricanes we bring on the earthquakes and we bring on the climate change and we do have higher center is intellectual center is that and why does that are fully developed but we can't access them because we're dysfunctional we you know we've given to wear on balance nature's our fears are angers so what I'm saying is that when you have someone on its positives niche and millions of people are listening and they have a positive attitude towards life things will get better the weather will get better and you know but when you have guests on the pocketbook the populace or put people in fear like a kill shot from the sun or asteroid hitting the earth when you have millions of people while meditating on that then the chances of that happening are increased so we we are in charge of our destiny collectively is my point you think that's conceivable much do you think of people that we've had guests on the show my Marshall is absolutely right who talk about tragedies that could occur or a pop but a lipstick things that could occur but I think that the you know maybe if the conscious mind gets together the collective consciousness they could stop these things yeah I really appreciate that the caller mentioned the research that's been done in connection with the transcendental meditation within TM for several decades they've been studying what is sometimes called the Maharishi affect their making reference to the Maharishi Mahesh yogi you brought him to the west when people sit in meditation within certain locales if there's a significant enough number according to this research the crime rate goes down the suicide rate goes down the murder rate goes down we see a drop in everything we want to get rid of a rise in everything we want to cultivate and I've talked over this research with people very high up within the TM movement putting a close friend of mine and you know I said look you could have met the masses much clinical data as you want it's always going to be controversial people are going to choose whether to believe it or not to believe it but if it's not true if it's not true we're all in a lot of trouble so I want to err on the side of it being true I do happen to believe it's true but whether I'm right or wrong I choose to err on the side of believing that we as individuals and as a psychical collective have power to do positive things I have no questions that let's go to dean in Columbus Ohio first time caller dean go ahead Sir are you doing your art okay thank you actually I'm a second live close and yet I was aware that I was out of my body it scared me but I was aware and the time that I was living in Porter recon I went through the crap table just on a whim and through several of them in a row with the long odds why to the to the extent and I knew I was going to do it I knew that it was going to happen to the extent that the pit boss picked up the dice some of them yeah the the you know just I believe in Jesus Christ and I have my whole life to Christ at a very early age and it's probably appropriate at this time of the year to encourage people to read the Bible I "And one oh three one WGY. welcome to our a a writer and journalist Kevin Ryan whose. written several things for us this week he's he's writing something on his own place or is it on and off yeah Glenn Beck are calm and the place a great story about your encounter with and I don't mean that in a French sort of business that way hearing her with Joe Biden yes which is it interesting and very very funny and so we all know the story about his comparison for kids to white kids but one thing you you won't find anywhere else is the the overall view of the room which was hilarious. I mean it was just like a scene straight out of a comedy like there was a lady probably three or four feet away from his everybody's gonna crediting who was really drunk. she kept sneaking out of the room and shoot like every time she came back and she shoved everybody aside a little bit harder she was just hitting some. do you know is it a requirement to be drunk at a Joe Biden rally I think it you probably. the makes more sense. release date. it was was a lot of fun to write yeah and I think the tone of this piece just like the rest of the series it's a lot different and then my profile series the profile in Jordan Peter send and who is a good thing and ever so really good yeah you really do have to read those around the police are great you're really good writer so you find that at the blaze dot com also at Glenn Beck dot com a very great great story about Joe Biden and being in the room which by now you gonna be in the room again with him tonight that's right yeah you're going down to Houston you're leaving here in a few minutes and you're going to first you're going to see the giant socialism socks or whatever it says the banner that is flying around Houston today. over the they have paid for by Donald Trump yeah okay. well it's an incident at. only in Texas. today I just love the state but anyway I want you to go and what do you would you know where you're going to be where you are you sitting in the audience I'm not really sure yet I sent you an hour looking at the media my credentials yeah I don't really know where I'm gonna be at theirs it's gonna be there's a story there yeah. yeah yeah you're credentialed with us you may he be watching it in your hotel room. ten miles away I'd like to see it what what the what what should the word to be that it when one of them brings up this word or this policy that he should screen bingo just screaming go as loud as you can yeah I love that. probably shouldn't do it as a journalist but as a friend you definitely sure yeah I mean you can certainly do when Andrew Yang talks about universal basic income of its immediate that that should be on your card yeah the debate bingo card what else should be I got I mean I think what's going to be the big focus of this today people talk about this as if it's the biggest debate of that they've had so far and I kind of disagree with that the next debate all of these people of already qualified for plus Tom's Dyer has qualified forces eleven now of qualified for the next debate and also Gabbard and others have chances to get into the next debate so I don't know this is the biggest one so far I think it's going to be kind of a a low profile one and it's going up against the National Football League which is something entry can compare complained about like. even I want to watch football tonight okay yeah I don't care if it's Carolina tape I don't care what it is I'm in I am watching it so it is a I think it's going to be what you could call being go out every time somebody mentions trump besides the moderate yeah and then you can just blame it on Tourette's say I'm sorry I. because you'll be screaming it all night yeah that would probably. well that was your first reaction to as like high I got press credentials right we should point being go..

"Only have second world can change right before your very year stay informed and up to date on WGY. welcome back this is the Ben Shapiro show so as I have been talking about the Democrats are now going to a CNN and Human Rights Campaign sponsored town hall with the twenty twenty candidates on LGBTQ a **** B. L. Y. issues according to Huffington post the Human Rights Campaign foundation announced on Wednesday is partnering with CNN to host a twenty twenty democratic presidential town hall focused on issues affecting the LGBTQ community event name power of our pride is set to take place at the noble in LA venue on October tenth as the night before the thirty first annual national coming out day which is always a very exciting time for nearly forty years Human Rights Campaign as fun to realize a world in which LGBTQ people are safe equal and free in every aspect of our lives said a arch H. R. C. president Alfonso David in a statement today at a time when our most basic civil rights and democratic values are under attack I work has never been more urgent I can go a few times when your work was more urgent like when most of the activity that you guys are engaged in was criminal it seems like it was more urgent than or maybe when gay people work literally imprisoned for being for acting in some sexual fashion like that seems like there's more urgent than when gay marriage is legal in the United States and anti discrimination laws exist on the books in most states pretty sure that that's not the most urgent time in history just just as a historical matter. then I found the David said we're eager to hear from this field of democratic presidential candidates about how they plan to win full federally quality defend the fundamentally quality of LGBTQ people and protect the most vulnerable among us but here in the US and around the globe from stigma institutional inequality discrimination violence from state. like from people having opinions. I I was in I think we should treat everybody with grace and decency but is the government's job to protect people from stigma. but that seems a little bit much to me. now the reason that this is a particularly bad idea for the Democrats is because you know that one of the questions that will be asked and should be Aston ought to be asked is how many genders are there and if you think it is not attack ad for Joe Biden to be stumbling around trying to name genders well first there is he then there should be in there she. there's Z.. there's a. it. whom. attack helicopter. like if you think that's not going to be a fantastic attack ad you are wrong also you know the great when all the Democrats have vowed to track down hunt down in prison every religious person who owns a business in America and who does not wish to participate in a same sex wedding not even somebody who won't serve gave people so many just doesn't want to participate in a same sex wedding and you'll be like come all I harassed the narc you know I'm imprison a person that person doesn't want to go there not sharing loud enough of the same sex wedding I would presume that person. is gonna go great how do I know this is gonna go great because they just did this on climate change and it went and reeking tastic for the Democrats by which I mean disaster area basically every single Democrat got up there and talked about all the things they were going to ban like all of them in fact we have a montage of Democrats talking about all the various things that they wish to ban. because of climate change can do we have that. it is it is a little telling. offshore drilling for oil would you panic yes we will transition off of fossil fuels natural gas coal oil what about the export of fossil fuels in the United States Japan absolutely we must get to that point there's no question I'm in favor of banning fracking I'm in favor of a carbon free America in my administration record building new nuclear power plants we we we we we we set out the rules for what kind of plant and coal burning plants now is going to build a coal burning we're gonna shut the ones that we have we gonna end factory farming because that is not only that is a danger to the environment and climate change also on the agenda plastic straws gone yes use the scrap paper straws that that collapsed in on themselves the you can't actually draw the liquid from the vessel also we have to get rid of me meets bad right no more eating meat not just were gonna recommend you eat less meat for the environment we're gonna get rid of the eating of the meat that has to stop completely we are also going to be getting rid of the flying of the airplanes like that has to stop I'm not kidding Democrats had all of these things now it was nominated do you think the president from might cut an ad showing the Democrats talking about running your thank you. because that's what they're talking about the whole point of civilization is that you can have a plastic straw I guess what plus extras aren't killing anybody this whole thing about plastic straws the running the environment and why are you give me a plastic Cup at Starbucks the idiots summer plastic a plastic Cup we want to talk about the top polluters in terms of plastics on planet earth the United States does not rank. but apparently we got we got all the things that are good about civilization we have to do it now do Democrats actually intend to do any of this of course not. see for Democrats. it's all about signaling to their base how much they care how much you care I care so much I'm even willing to tell you not to play an airplane eat any meat and get rid of your plastic straws that's how much I care how much do governing I want to spend sixteen trillion dollars on this plan wow that's a lot of caring Bernie how much would you spend as he has been ninety three trillion all I got you care so much. above the levels of care I. I mean I really wish that I could run my marriage like this I show my wife how much I care was like sweet heart you know what I really would love to do for you I would love to buy for you a one million dollar ring that's right great where is a big no it's the intention that counts it's the intention behind the counter it doesn't I would love to every morning just put out a path of rose petals from our bedroom to the kitchen wife prepared for you a nice beautiful breakfast you like what you just did not understand I'd love to do that I can't make that happen I can't the thing that's not going to happen but again it's it's that I'm showing I care by saying things the things that come out of my face that's the caring not the doing. thanks also I want to clean up the rose petals you think I can cook breakfast I'm really boil it when you're talking about that's the Democrats entire agenda not as we will see it is not just that the Democrats agenda is ridiculous it is that it does nothing to actually stop climate change we'll discuss that coming up this is the denture..

"Ten and one oh three one WGY welcome back Ben Shapiro show well we know that our colleges and universities are doing apparently never worst job in educating kids on history but it's more than that they are teaching kids that nothing that ever offends their precious years should ever be taught to them this is how you end up with me requiring six hundred police officers just to escort me to speech right talk about free speech in Berkeley will join us on the line to discuss the teaching of American history and our major top universities is Anthony Connie served as dean of Yale Law School from nineteen ninety four to two thousand four he's taught at the university for four years he is the author or co author of five books including the assault on American excellence joining us on one professor running thanks much for joining the show Sir thanks for having a band so you have an article today talking about the the attempt apparently I yield to chisel off a particular mural that shows native Americans and and early settlers going out with one another and you talk about sort of how American history is being taught in the worst possible a lot of universities what what you mean by that yeah well you know it was a ridiculously small intimate in one way but it reveals something very large about the culture not only on my campus but on campuses around the country the the stone carving Indian question showed an Indian on one side of a column with an era when a shield and told him on the other with a musket and some faculty committee was appointed to wear take a look at it and decided that it was a and a display of colonial violence honoring it and that it needed to be covered up first and then remove to a museum somewhere where it would be surrounded with explanatory material and put in perspective and so on and so forth and I I I thought the whole business was was really laughably ridiculous but what is suggested to me is this push to cleanse the landscape of any items or names or buildings or whatever that are offensive to the to the to the ethical sensibilities of the kids are on campus these days or at least okay summer many of them and that's a strike to me is running against the grain of educational purposes I understand you don't grow unless you were confronted with things that run against the grain of your own sensibilities and believes that's what it means to discover your own mind in the matter and I I don't think our kids are ready you know so well a precious and and and in need of protection that their eyes have to be shielded from such offending memorials these ought to be product cations to conversation and debate I'm all for that but the idea that we have to scrub the field clean and put everything away behind a glass wall revealed a rope and a museum that that that seems to me to you know to to be against the ideal of for a free campus and the point I'm making my essay which I think is really the important thing to note here is that this kind of protectionism ethical protectionism I call it ethical cleansing in my in my essay is not only bad for our kids wall there on campus but it does a very poor job of preparing them for the rough and tumble life of democratic citizenship when they get out in the world and they and they'll have to you know rub up against ideas that don't quite suit them and that's bad not just for our colleges and universities it's bad for the country knows that totally agree with this I also think there there a couple of other aspects that they've talked about before that I think are important to note here any talk about the the phrase from from judge learned hand that the spirit of liberty the spirit that is not too short is right it seems that there there is this problem will get that this this sort of very forcible push on college campuses for students to consider themselves the greatest wisest most moral beings whatever live and disbelief that if somebody two hundred years ago did something wrong they would have been right there alongside them fighting against them that everybody two hundred fifty years ago certainly would've been a been an abolitionist because they have reason their way to this without any sort of understanding of history of history's progression this leads to a moral certainty in their views on issues that matter in the here and now that seems utterly unjustified believing that you are the the fairest wisest people to ever walk the earth without any sort of indicated that this is true and and with and without any sort of historical context for any of the things are learning of the attempt to wipe away history because Thomas Jefferson was a slave owner leading yourself smarter than Thomas Jefferson because Hey that guy was a slave owner it's that sort of mentality that leads the idea I'm not I don't know I don't have a conversation with you hello I'm smarter than Thomas Jefferson right I I'd make two points in response I agree very much with what you've just said one is that it's it's ironic we live in an age that prides itself on having overcome every conceivable prejudice that stained our forebears in the past but in fact it is subtly shaped by a very deep prejudice but its own which is the one you've just described namely that everyone who came before us was a benighted fool or a you know a moral Cretan who fail to see the light and we alone occupied the pinnacle of rectitude and correct understanding and if that isn't a prejudice and a form of what is purchased blindness and if that isn't a species of blindness I don't know what is secondly I would say this one of the obligations of our colleges and universities is to train their students to live with ambiguity the world is an ambiguous place human beings are ambiguous creatures I mean we are ourselves everyone of us ambiguous were full of conflict and societies full of conflicts and a tolerance for ambiguity is I believe a sign of moral and intellectual maturity and that's what our colleges and universities ought to be teaching and training their students to acquire impress upon you talk about the the fact that this stuff does bleed past campuses there there's so many people in America who seem to believe that when radicalism happens on campus as well you know that's just our campus as many get out in the real world and this stuff's the stuff sort of stopped I don't see that happening I see I see this is is the leading edge of a of an entire movement that seeks to censor anyone that they don't like the same students who right now are protesting against Yale university's administration and forcing the administration or are cuddling the administration to do what they want those are the same people who are going to be going to Facebook and Twitter and telling into the platform people that the same people who are going to be telling The New York Times The New York Times can publish certain pieces because it runs against the common grain of what they've learned a college I don't think this stuff stopped on campus here right it would be you know the phrase leadership class is one that's fallen out of favor and there are lots of people who are uncomfortable with it but as a matter of fact our colleges and universities and especially our leading colleges and universities the most elite and selective once produced America's leadership class the young people who go into positions of responsibility in government and enterprise and throughout in the economy throughout the society as a whole and the values they acquire or the values that are reinforced during their educational years when they're in spin spin school are the values that they will take with them into the wider wider world so I I think that our our schools have a responsibility first of all to engage in the activities of teaching and learning but secondly to produce responsible citizens and leaders for the country as a whole and the attitudes which are being encouraged and reinforced on campus today are carrying them and us the country in the wrong direction residents in common former dean of Yale Law School still teaches at Yale Law School author of the assault on American excellent physical in thanks much for your time really appreciate it thanks for having me on well coming up in just one second we're gonna talk about the moral certainty of the left tearing past campus yeah to you know slandering dead people because this is this is what we do now first did you know you can watch all three hours of the show I know sounds amazing right well you can do it I know you can all you have to do is.

S. B. or it really actually be I suppose the S. S. V. R. but who work for Russian intelligence thank you to show up here or the G. are you if you are the military side folks all that's right Russian Intel one on one but they do show up here and I have I have a hundred of them just voting voting and voting it doesn't take that many votes to flip some of these districts to flick some flips on the states you could say well they never do that okay but one I make sure they couldn't do it when I make it just a little bit harder any security precaution can be beaten there's always a way around that it's it's an issue of elevating the difficulty of engaging in the illicit behavior sure of criminal security precaution anti terrorism stuff cross the border but Stacey Abrams is just the purveyor of fiction the Democrats like to tell themselves which is one that she really was the winner of the Georgia governor's race which is it's just not true and also that there's a need to tackle this nation wide voter suppression after I mean this this is all a motion folks it's like when we hear about gerrymandering for Democrats guess what Democrats gerrymander to how many bring this up though admit those Republicans do it worse says who how you are your this to people all the Republicans are worse about German earned another not both sides Jerry Mander it's a question of what this what the realities are in any given state at any given time who runs the legislature and what the district look like but they're both gerrymandering they're both doing it but this is like a Democrat so what a lot of money in politics really like you don't want to stop at Tom's dire and George Soros and you know good on you don't Michael Bloomberg oh yeah there's no there's no rich lives thrown a lot of money around in politics all know that never happens this is just this is a delusion but it's a it's a it's a cultural thing on the left to believe that they don't want money in politics they want more it because what what the really comes down to is that not only Republicans racist of course that's what I want to suppress the vote but that the Democrats would win every election if only more people who could vote did vote into this I say well for one thing I don't want more people voting I want people voting who are engaging feel the need to vote because if it's people that don't really care which the media knows then the left wing dominance all of our media ecosystem is a huge asset to Democrats I don't what the low information voters to turn out in droves I want people that follow things that care that know what's going on that's just a bass line and it's just my preference but that's my baseline that's what I believe in me mandatory vote in the habit in some countries and have mandatory voting in Brazil home life this worked out great down there that place lot of problems please look at the new stories that I was Stacey Abrams Stacey Abrams says she's open to being vice president for any Democrat nominee so she's not going to seek the presidency herself which is good because she wouldn't went out but she's willing to be anyone's V. P. well this is quite an offering because right now the vote that a lot of these a Democrat primary candidates are vying for the most is the African American Democrat primary voter that's the one that is the one that's the real game changer and you have people like mayor Pete who does pretty well with white suburban lives no support among the black community I mean it's like less than it's because it's less than zero percent of the guys really possible but maybe he can't get any votes from black Canary Bernie Sanders has always struggle with the black community Joe Biden Joe Biden is being kept in the lead so far in most of the polls in in large part due to the very strong support the as in the black community to Stacey Abrams folks she could be so she could be making a deal someone to be there V. P. and then you'll be hearing more and more of this voter suppression story that is not based on facts not based in reality but it's a fairy tale that lives like the here and I'd love to hear told by Stacey Abrams for at least four if not eight years as a vice president the stories that affect.

"Ten and one oh three one WGY Frank ledger with us so much more ground that we have to cover and also well the reaction is is pretty much universal this is a disaster Lawrence tribe I mean the the the minute the media it's almost like a funeral on these conspiracy theory channels when Chucky Todd has to admit it's a disaster when Lawrence tribe has to admit it's a disaster when the guy doesn't know about fusion GPS when Chris Wallace and David Axelrod admit it's a disaster when he can answer a hundred twenty questions when he says well I guess if it's in the report that's okay when he flips and flops and flannels again on the question of DOJ policy and and constitutional considerations of whether you can or cannot indict a sitting president it's a disaster when he doesn't remember who appointed him that it was Reagan now bush it's a disaster not knowing fusion GPS is a disaster not caring about what happened before and after the big trump tower meeting with fusion GPS is a disaster when you have people of them as the N. C. praying that people will have sympathy for Robert Muller in his performance and that the American people will feel sorry for him and that might help them that is a disaster you know you did so only so but the disaster the problem with that is the following is the disaster became a reality the lies they told were real the conspiracy theories they spread for two and a half years were real the the the outright hoax they tried to perpetrate was real the attempt to rig a presidential election was real the dirty Russian dossier was real and the attempt to undo a duly elected president in do him in in what would be a cool Israel so I'm not really feeling sorry for those people that knowingly lied to us and never did their jobs.
