"We can't stop markets in human trafficking. For god's sake with you know all the all the laws of begins kidnapping and rape and murder and all the rest of it and you know. Pedophilia and everything else. All the laws we brought to bear have not stopped at. it's a thriving industry so we're going to stop this thing. Which is you know relative. Which is a benign in quite beneficial to humanity in my opinion. Yeah anyway you see where i'm headed. Terry i don't think you need to worry about the government so much but as a interested party you you do. Keep an eye on it right. You never know. Next comes some comments from matto good to hear from matt. Oh i. I'm pretty sure i recognize your name matt and i'm pretty sure you've written before. Wow so many people have written in that. I can't remember if i've seen atta's name before. That's great sorry. Madam might not be great for you but matt has a lot on his mind he says. I have two comments regarding your opening remarks and el salvador adoption of bitcoin And then he says you know that el salvador did not make bitcoin soul former legal tender. I thought i made it clear that i understood that right. My complaint is that it. The bitcoin is not the legal tender legal tender. Is the us dollar twice removed. 'cause it's the us dollar through the el salvador and dollar or whatever peso whatever it's called on even know or care and then then to to. Bitcoin and i said bitcoin more like a payment system for them and then he says in my opinion facilitating open. Competition on. Equal footing between crypto and fiat is the best approach. Governor can take to crypto adoption removed tax impediment associated with treating cryptos security grant both horns occurrence currency legal tender status and let the people choose whichever currency they prefer. It will be interesting to watch el salvador's experiment play out. I totally agree with everything. You just said they're number two. He says i would submit that. There is in fact. A transaction fee built in the much of our everyday commerce conducted in. Us dollars because debit and credit cards are the most common forms of payment united states sixty to eighty percent of transactions based on some researches. But yeah we know. It's we know that's what people are mostly using right Retailers likely factor the cost associated with these payment works into the product prices. Of course. I didn't mean to suggest. Otherwise i just met that. There's another layer on top of that when you use bitcoin right so far using. Bitcoin is just kind of almost like using a credit card. You're ultimately priced in dollars because you're translating from whatever the dollar prices at that moment through the transaction into the other side and and your priced and and you know what the dollar price is. That's what the holder of bitcoin will have the dollar price when the transactions done you know even though they you know the thing will be priced in point zero zero two three bitcoin or whatever the number. It's still gonna be whatever. The dollar price of bitcoin is you see. That's why i'm talking about fees in bitcoin verses fees by just pulling paper dollars out of your pocket that say not using a card and and doing it that way but i hear you matt. Good stuff matt. Thanks for writing in Next comes mike w e said hi. Dan looks like you picked an interesting week to take a break from the news. Were you able to do it. Yes mike i as i said in the opening. I'm still doing it regardless. Thank you for consistently great shows and keep up the good good work best. mike. W i'm proud to say mike that i don't know what you're talking about. Why was an interesting week. I stayed away from the news and just looked at you. Know reports from various investment firms and other things and You know thanks for the For the kudos saying that we produce consistently great shows. We should try to do that last this week. Once again. we hear from v. H always very happy to hear from him. I think he wrote in three times. This week usually writes in. You know at least twice a week. And says i have a question for you. There seems to be a big move towards puerto rico. It is not part of the united states so federal tax but why there's the ongoing push to bring it into the usa sooner or later people vote destructive and towards poverty. I think he means they'll vote. In a destructive manner and and that will create poverty. Why not select vanuatu from tourism perspective. Because it's a beautiful place in from an investment perspective and then he includes these links that will tell you about getting a second passport in vanuatu. Lodewijk you know man. The choice between puerto rico and von watch is just not on my radar screen. But i mean puerto rico scares the crap out of me. I i think there's still a pretty good crime problem down there and and you know i just hear about people. I know who who have gone there and visited and stuff and say wow you know if you're inside of a gated community you're okay but but it's scrappy dunes elsewhere. Maybe they're maybe. They're exaggerating. But i don't know anything about puerto rico. I just wanted to read your email. Because i think your point that if you think you're moving to puerto rico because they're going to bring it into the united states. I think that is a very optimistic view of the situation. And you know something a little vague. I have to say that's probably still true. If you're living in puerto rico now and all the sudden it becomes a us state. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if it were suddenly became a much safer place to live just because you know if it's part of the united states it's easy for everybody in the united states to go there all of sudden it's like going from you know it's like instead of like going from the united states to a foreign country it's like going from the united states too so i have to say and i hate to say it you really. You're really put a bug in my head about. That's why included your question. I know your questions are kind of different. You know you're suggesting vanuatu and all this stuff but but the issue that you put into my head. That i can't get out of it is oh you know i'm critical in the united states government but you know if suddenly puerto rico where the fifty first state of the united states. I think within a fairly short time. I don't know if that's months or year probably some number of years it would be nicer. Place it would. The roads would probably be better and you know everybody. There could get all the all the things that you get any. Us state just by being a us citizen. So look i claim that. I'm a libertarian. But i can't prove it. Because i spent half my life in jail but if you know put to it and forced to to judge one way or the other you know i have to say what i just said about puerto rico and about being a united states State thank you for making me. Think about that lodewijk. Great question well. That's another mailbag. And that's another episode of the stanbury investor. Our hope you enjoyed it as much as i did. Cancel culture Silence. Destroy anybody that dares to disagree with you because it's getting worse than ever. It sure doesn't at this point because the Steve's point you actually have journalists who benefits the most from having free speech. And the First Amendment actually calling on individuals to be shut down, and even whole networks such as Fox News you have Margaret Sullivan Washington Post. She's a media columnist like me, literally sharing media matters, advertiser boycotts with her followers and saying, contact these companies and tell them to take Fox News off the air. That's not journalism anymore. That's activism and I'll leave it with this number. Axios to the poll last week. And this is stunning 56% of Americans, so it's not just through every publicans. Conservatives agree with the statement that quote journalists reporters are purposely trying to mislead people by saying they know are false or gross exaggerations. So in other words touches so we got it wrong. It's there purposely, and intentionally misleading their viewers in their readers in order to push an agenda, and that is dangerous, Shawn Final thought, Steve Yeah, if Juice glass half empty, Let me be glad Glass half full here. I think that they're two stories from the last week that give me a minor bit of encouragement. Lauren Wolfe and editor at The New York Times, is a freelance editor was fired because she tweeted that she got chills when she saw the Air Force or the other plane landing with Joe Klein and becoming president. Obviously, I'm very clear show of bias, but no different than a lot of other people have CNN or The New York Times do. She got essentially canceled because of that, And then we'll Wilkinson, a columnist, also from the left tweeted that he thought community could come by my hens getting lynched. He also got fired from his permanent job. Now these are bad things that I don't support. This is really what they say. And they're not clearly not objectivity that we're seeing there. But that is that is a show of the Thai turning, and it's the kind of people that have care about free speech that goes out and support them and their friends on the left. Who seemed to say, Oh, you know that this is not cancel culture. Well, now they've lost their jobs when they start to see who supports them. That's that's going to be how this thing changes that's going toe. Hopefully start to change the minds to say, Look, this is going too far. "I'm calling on any Democrat who is out there trolling my show right now to introduce this piece of legislation because I am 100% positive Republicans would sign onto it Also, you know, let's just do it is a clean piece of legislation. So you can't you know there isn't a poison pill or something like that. I want. Let's talk about the mask mandate. S so we're finally we're finally putting forward a joint resolution. We're finally going to rein in the abuses of Governor Evers, who has been now where we eight months passed his ability to actually have constitutional in statutory authority declare states of emergency. So tomorrow we may be seeing an end to this, at least in the Senate. That's correct. Every indication is that's going to occur. I've been lobbying for this from day one after the expiration of the 1st 60 Day emergency. These have been he's strong together. Orders have been illegal, no matter what you think about masks. The fact that matters we've elected a governor and not a king, and he has to come to the Legislature to the senators and assemblyman who are elected by the people. Get a plan moving forward. It is just not a unilateral decision that he can make that is illegal. So this is what we're being, We will finally rectify. Tomorrow, it appears, And there's something that I have been advocating for for from day one. Yeah, I mean, it should have. This is something that should have been a lay up for some reason. We found resistance and they're in the ranks of some Republicans. What's it look like on the assembly side is their substantial support on the assembly side. It is there. Is there majority support to actually do this? Because it's a joint resolution, and and then it is a majority, right? Well, I mean, do we have do we have a majority that is willing to actually finally rain in this governor? I don't know whether we have that in the Senate in the Assembly. I'm sorry. We certainly have it in the standard is appears as of today. I guess I never say never, but that's the way it it looks, and that's the way it were scheduled to vote tomorrow. But, um, assembly. I can't comment on that. I sure hope so. You would think so. But until it happens, I'll just keep waiting. All right. I don't want to not miss an opportunity here to talk about the W E c. We'd apparently are not interested in and by we I mean, sort of the general. We've we, the government are not interested in doing anything to rein in. The abuses of the WBC, which seemed to believe that at any given moment, they can just simply change the rules on the fly on and of course, those rules only tend to apply to the larger urban areas like Milwaukee or Madison. On If that if that continues without change without challenge, and you know this. I'm not. I'm I mean, I'm preaching to the choir here. It is going to be very difficult to win a statewide election if you're Republican again. Well, I think that there is energy in the Legislature right now and time will tell to see how it follows through. But I know I have energy and I know there's a lot of other people have energy. I want to take the steps necessary to rein in that wet to create legislation that's going to Curtail the loopholes that are in our laws and statutes that they needed to be fixed that have been the basis of the abuses that we have seen as of late in some of our election. And the causes for the lack of confidence in the results. These I think after six, and there are people working on them, and these bills will be coming out. Good, because you know, even any birds will veto these bills. We know this doesn't mean you don't put the bills on the table. It doesn't mean you don't schedule public hearings. It doesn't mean you don't take testimony..

"That I feel is something that is really untouched territory that perhaps maybe some of the state attorney general will start to pick up on because that's really I think what most of this is about What At the end, Vivica. What they dying to do is take opposition voices wherever they might be coming from, And it's been the world I've lived in my entire professional career. And shut them down, shut them off and eliminate their voices from society and they feign offense. They fail. The vapors were so offended. But they hypocrisy reeks. It's like, Oh, well, well. The violence over the summer was justified. But what the president did was not justified. It xray ANC hypocrisy, and nor did the president. Inside anybody, the president said, Didn't soon you will peacefully and patriotic Lee march to the capital to let your voices be heard. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building. Peacefully and patriotic Lee make your voices heard That doesn't sound like inciting an insurrection to me. Well, I think we gotta look to the future and let's fast forward to next week and look at what the real long from run threat coming out of. All of this is Is that next week, President Trump is gonna be a private citizen with access to neither the nuclear codes nor even Twitter account. But as a consequence of all of this, the people who really swept up in still power in all of this was the new corporate monarchy working out of Silicon Valley. And I think that we gotta recognize what happened before our eyes. Quickly this week was that we have devolved from a three branch federal government system under the US Constitution to one with two branch offices, one in Washington, D C and a headquarters in Silicon Valley, But there is an antidote. And the the antidote is to create conservative alternatives. Now they tried to shut those down, but I've got to believe they're they're bright. You know, Silicon Valley like minds of Microsoft minds and Google minds and Facebook and Twitter minds out there brilliant people that you know no, this stuff way better than I do that. I'm gonna be able to offer solutions so that we don't need those platforms and they don't need their assistance will bypass them. I'm optimistic about that. "That we've been talking about now for 40 minutes isn't happening. So it's really not about filtering the air. It's it really is about ventilating them. Yeah, it really is, You know, And it's filtration is not a bad thing, but that Z low That's one of the things on the list, but to be honest with you, you know, the EPA says Number one is source control, right? So if we're using things that plug into the wall were burning candles that are chemicals that's easy to quote unquote source controlled meeting. Get rid of But BP also recommends number one A and one B one b is ventilation, right controlled mechanical ventilation after that becomes filtration because filtration folk from it and the whole house environment perspective is not as realistic as people think. You know, so ventilation is the most important for sure. So tell me about an easy breathe and how it does that ventilation freestanding unit on the H basis system or how's that work? So what we do is we have a free standing whole house ventilation system that we install. In the lowest level of the home. For most people, that's a basic, of course we could do crawl spaces as well. So what we're doing is we found that everything we've talked about his true as far as humans contributing to the unhealthy environment home, But we also find it. A lot of that starts in the basement. And I know you cover that probably in a single weekend as far as the bad parts of the basement, so taking that air Yeah, we take that air from the basement and we evacuated out at its source, including the raid on that we talked about earlier. So we take them there. We evacuated out the source and that airs replaced with the air from upstairs. The living environment, the quote unquote. Good air. We're meeting. It's better than the basement and so that air then replaces the air in the basement. And there's where we get this whole house their exchange. So some people grew up with attic fans that he turned on and in the ceiling of the second floor, right, and then you open the windows and you felt the cold air come in. We've taken that and literally put the drunk's head. We don't want to pull basing their up. Sure, And we certainly don't wanna pull any more here in the sleeping environment. So we've taken it in reverse, exhausted from a source at the basement and then by replacing it with the living space there we create us those whole house their exchanges. So those exchanges that the easy breeze creating it's on a larger scale of the bathroom fan type out of, you know, apparatus Now, even the bathroom fans now have you met us? That's on, they know yours. Easy Breathe, has he you, Minister at so you take all these You know, the easy breathe being the big one, The grandpa of you, and then you know you got ventilation for cooking. You got ventilation for your dryer That's going outside. You got ventilation in the bathrooms with the fans. And that's that concept is to pull out stagnant air in the bathroom. It's the pullout weather If you don't pull that out, Water's running down your walls and you're gonna have a mold ish. Yeah, You're 100%, right? Like you know, the codes are are not requiring back and fans and kitchen fans because it makes us smell bacon for too long, right? It's a health issue. It's not. It's not because it's uncomfortable issue as far as I want my want the mirrors in my bathroom to be not be fog, So that's why there's a code that that's not it. It's from a health issue. So we're taking that on a grander scale and saying, Let's address the whole home because really that while bathrooms and kitchens are contributors, it's the whole home itself that needs as you said the granddaddy, if you will. The whole home needs a dress, not just what we call spot ventilation in the spot areas. So the easy breathe, Lois area the home and you obviously have to have a pipe or something installed to take that air outside. You do you do so what we do is we mount the unit on it on the wall exterior wall and then obviously on the inside of the exterior wall, and we just ducked it directly to the outside. So from the outside, it looks like another dryer vent right? It's just the dryer vent with movers. On dawn. The inside we have the base unit. It sits on the ground, so captures that there truly at a slower, lowest level, exhausted up the chute and then out the wall, and so it Z a six inch hole to the outside. You're just to give people some perspective. Your dryer is a four inch hole. So it's not much bigger, same concept, and we just we really take the air and it's state. It doesn't have to travel very far right. We exhausted directly to the outside, and that's how we created its in its simplicity. Beauty is in its simplicity, right as far as how we create this whole out their exchanges. So the lady that had an issue added insulation now feels terrible and different. Things like that. That would be that would be her answer would be just something is simple is mentally. Hopefully, unless there's a mold colony grown behind the wall. That's another story Exactly exactly so ventilation. The question is not when I when I referred to the great ventilation debate, you know, because in my world, you know we talked about that kind of stuff. The great ventilation debate. The question isn't whether or not to be in late. It's how much so the answer to a lot of people's problems. Is ventilation dot dot dot And what's next? Right? So for this woman, Absolutely. Ventilation is key. Um, but also let's let's find out what the source is right. Because it for getting these headaches. We can actually spend some time and I know I can. I can understand Elizabeth frustration right and concerned because you make these upgrades to your house. And now all the sudden something changes. So I try and work with people and say, OK, we recognize that Let's get to the bottom of it. Absolutely. Let's start ventilating a space because there's no reason to live with that fell and that and that caused off headaches and things like that. So absolutely, let's been like Let's get that done. And then we can also start looking at the source. Sure. Very good. All right, Let's take a break. Andre look, wa he is my guest. I don't even want to mess it up. So, um, we've got some old notes here, but we got some old notes. All right, let's do this. All right, so 1 95 0 C. I could see it in the bag right there. All right. What does that one say for 1 85 7 41. So if it's one night, so if it's 1 95, so it's probably gonna add about $45. So in principle and interest payments if you're putting 5% down, that's gonna be about your guesstimate right there. So see you look, teamwork. Okay. Can't even rent can't read 32 for that? No, That's right. I really even like 12 years ago. Who's our rental in our first house in Crestwood? I mean, it was more than it has, like, 1012 100 or something like that. Yeah, that house is tiny man. So, Chris, um we've also got a couple other needless things. We've got one over and the thing is actually in Garden Hill, but it's in the corner school district. We've gotta investor that is looking to buy a mobile home park. Carter. Do you know any mobile home parks that are for sale right now? "Summertime, you can get up to 55% if you want. But once you go over 60, you're going to start having some issues. So I definitely recommend Do you middle fire down in the basement? Because it's kind of a stack effect. You know Once that basement gets the 60 65 70% You know that we're Where's that water vapor going to go? It's going to go on top of the basement. Um, so it's going to start then you can't get a humidifier in a crawlspace. Well, you don't have to get it in the crawlspace. You could just is there a basement down there, too. No. Don't crawl space, okay? So why can't you get a dehumidifier in across face? So you had 5 ft, Not enough room for it. But the part where the crawlspace entrances is too low, Okay, um and there's no landing outside of it or anything. How do you get down there to get to the crawl space? Literally squeeze through and opening. That is when he's got a guess. 2 ft round doorway opening to it. You gotta literally sit down inside the well and then slide into the crawl space to do anything. Okay? Well, if you can't get it. If you can't get the humidifier on the first floor, then you're gonna have to put it on the second floor. The don't want having it in the house? I just don't know. Obviously, we'd like to get it on the lowest level as we can. And if you can't get it in the crawl space or in the lower level than the level above is what you're gonna have to put it, But You're gonna have to get that and On run that thing to get that down the 50 55% in the summertime, and it sounds like you might even have to run it in the wintertime if it's staying that wet. Have you? Did you say you put other things in the house and new furnace? New Windows? New insulation. I knew you talked about ventilation in the attic. We bought the house. Four years ago. They just gutted and remodeled the entire house, and we were told it to new heating air unit the entire house as our 30 insulation in the attic. There are some spots in the crawl space where the water was that that it's actually insulation has come down and it needs to be re insulated. I do know that so I'm working on getting that done. And the plastic on the floor is just a mess because of the water and because of the way they put it in, So once you get that new pump in there and you get that all pumped out, you get that Dried up. I prohibit water vapor for coming up from the floor, so it's going to be helpful. My guess is and it's a guess. And it's a guest for you, too, because you didn't do the remodeling. But my guess is there was insulation added to that. There was a same size furnace and air conditioner was put into that home. And a lot of times when we do that. We end up putting in the wrong size because now our home Is totally insulated since late properly. Maybe there is very little insulation in there. We put the same size air handler in there, and it starts short cycling. Which means it's not pulling out that water vapor that humidity Like it should be doing and it's causing a problem. I also checked short cycle. What do you mean by short cycling. That fan? Is it running as long as it needs to run? Come on, and then 10 or 15 minutes later. Come pick off. Come back in two or three minutes minutes later or even two or three minutes. You know it satisfies the temperature, but it's not doing anything for the humidity. Okay. Is there a way to correct that issue Other than it depends the type. It depends the type of fan that's on that furnace or on that air handler. I mean, they're single speed, which you're not gonna do much with. There's a dual speed. There's a variable speed with variable speeds. You can do some things. I definitely turn that fan on on and let it run. 24 7. I would get a dehumidifier in there. If you got a ceiling fans, I would turn them on low. When you're taking showers and stuff. If you've got a fan in the bathroom, I definitely run that a half hour after the shower. If you're cooking, make sure that fans on there anything we can do to pull air out. Move air around and dry that air out is gonna help solve your problem. Okay, so basically start with getting the water out across space and plastic now on events they've got the I call him Auto mess there. They're not manual. You can't slide them back and forth the open them. They got their spring controls. I guess it's a temperature controlled. Your own event. Hmm. How far up that vent and I go with the plastic or can I just go right up to it? Well, modern billing practices there actually closing those vents. Because in the summertime You're probably gonna have 70 80% humidity outside anyway. And for some reason, they opened events in the summertime, which just allows that high humidity Come into the cross base and come into the house. So modern practices there actually closing those up. Run in the plastic up the wall, at least to the point of grade. And plastic on the ground, So you're gonna try and make that Um, almost conditions. Absolutely. The basement across space. Yeah, exactly. You're basically I've done that before. All right? I used to do installations on real familiar with that. So I know the way they put the plastic down. They put it down in Smaller sections and what I normally would do as well as long as you're overlapping the seams and getting a solid vapor barrier down on their, uh, that's definitely what you want to do. But number one is you gotta get that water out of there. You've got to get that ground real dry. And want you get that and run any, you know. Do you mystify and start trying to dry out that house That should be number one and two. And once you get to that point, you know, putting vapor barriers down on that floor and try and just kind of start seeing things up. But adding ventilation like I was talking about with showers and you talked about the dryer and I talked about cooking. Those are all things that don't help dry that out and help you get to that point of 40% humidity. Was even freezing out there. So thank you very much for the call. I hope that helps. I know you got a little bit of work to tackle there, and I get that, but sometimes it's a step at a time.
