That ball's already happening in many countries, But now it's official. The pope says he's recognizing women's contributions. The movie also means conservative bishops will no longer be able to block women from taking part. But the pope's decree stresses Thies roles are separate from the priesthood, which remains open to men.

"The stock R. three WBT reputable show right alongside coach Matt Dougherty with us like ninety degrees outside this house and some blueberry hot out there but I love it because I'll take it over the cold any day of the week I can always get cooler I cannot always get warmer that's just how I am let's see what's what's cool out there with the callers and check in with that Tim first up on the R. N. C. Tim welcome to the show was on my just want to point something out in the city attorney's stance on the contract with the RNC is that the there's a clause that where they agreed to abide by all state and local laws I want to point out is governor Cooper's executive orders are not law yup that's right so if they try to enforce social displaying a mask wearing a smart contract figure Charlotte's gone be in breach of contract yes yeah and then there will be some guesses for fought out in the courts like four years from now that's what it's all like way back in the real damage yeah it's exactly who's gonna get rich's lawyers lawyers lawyers always hear it yeah I think we should go to court the world's oldest martial art as I said because that's what it is that it is going to settle but yeah yeah I mean and that is true but Cooper does have is the governor he has a right to invoke basically a state of emergency there's a hurricane if there's if there's a pandemic if there isn't a mass terror incident he doesn't have to then go to the legislature and get them to wipe a passive a state of emergency can declared because he's the executive of the state that's we can do it just to keep three member at McMaster was like re updated every fifteen days in South Carolina that's what happens with the governor here too he just says okay with a state of emergency and then thirty days later in another state of emergency but it's all it's all going to have to gets to settle at some point likely big time clocks ticking few kids this usually takes a year or two to get pulled off and now we're into like what seventy five days or whatever it is it's crazy time James welcome to the show what's on your mind a bread not a great show thank you I love the six hours in the afternoon three one Russian trade with you guys anyway listen the governor the mayor the democratic leadership of North Carolina is holding North Carolina hostage right now I mean and I don't understand why no other leaders that I'm not it's like this I don't understand why the people of North Carolina after indoor all this socialism liberalism whatever you wanna call it oppression and tyranny totalitarian acts while you do do we have to you know indoor this out Sir I drive a truck I have not missed a beat since this Kobe started and I have a lot of brands you've lost a lot of money and bought businesses that are coming back and lost jobs that are coming back right but I don't couple friends of mine that were that were in the bar business and they're working for fast food now because they can't they can't get they can't get their bar back open again and now you have the RNC trying to bring the the convention here which I think is is is a great opportunity to to recap some of the money that's been lost over this pandemic sure supposedly and I don't understand why are all those states that are opening right now are showing positive numbers where is he getting a scientific fact okay you get all this crap yeah there is all this coming from all right so I'll ask you smart guy what's your question if this were Joe Biden and the Democratic Party coming into North Carolina for the convention in twenty twenty do you think we have this conversation right now no not at all yeah it's a blue chip at the spectrum center it's PA it's politics and I'm not I'm not I'm not casting aspersions on people are Democrats but this is all politics you have it out you have a few other other party key person running the state that you're coming in to have a Republican convention that I mean I have a feeling and and I maybe I may be wrong but I have a feeling maybe he'll answer the question tomorrow the governor McCrory were the governor and we were having the Republican convention come and I have a feeling that we would likely be having the convention as constituted or as desired in the same way that Tony Evers Tony Evers is the governor of Wisconsin the democratic convention is supposed to be in in Milwaukee and they're gonna give it no walkies best to make sure that happens I have a feeling it's probably a much more friendly soft so be kind of a thing but we'll see I mean everything's politics look as we speak right now the the memorial service for George Floyd is taking place it's on a lot of the television monitors and and act there at the podium right now is the Reverend al Sharpton he will no doubt offer a message of of Suzanne of calling for us to do better but there will be a political under tone to his comments and the politics isn't bad politics is really just you know when you talk about politics it's your aspirational desires for the change you seek it's the mechanics by which you achieve the changes you want to have happen do you see me and I think we ought to be able to vote by mail well that's not a negative personality it's an aspiration you have and then you fight it out with other people debating it you vote on it and then you see what happens so politics it can be a dirty word but politics can also be a way of of of working issues out money can be a dirty word in a dirty saying it but it's also how the system works you know the the the inanimate object the system those sorts of things or just those things that are in place it's up to human interpretation to make them either work or work poorly that's what it comes down to you gotta have rules for the road that's it pure and simple all right we're going to get an updated here in just a couple moments after we get the updated I want to get into this conversation about dori I I've found this to be a fascinating discussion point the evolution of the comments from a drew Brees be made comments yesterday about the flag and kneeling and respecting the flag and things like that he then part a firestorm of criticism from some of the most prominent people in the world any sort of kind of pivoted away from it and is vowing to do better we'll unpack that straight ahead I'm Bret S. bars to close ahead of two of the country's biggest drinking occasions Saint paddy's day a March madness never really got into the tournaments in the very beginning of the tournament we can get into March madness at all here that was intended for those offenses now spoiling and locked establishments brewers are trying to get it back so kids can be refilled refilled before the lockdowns what are we going to do I think these establishments ought to sell cakes with the implicit understanding that once you drain it you bring it back we'll refund your deposit on the tags I think people would pay fifty seventy five Bucks for a keg of beer I'm not trying to encourage people to do day drinking but you know what there are people who do like to drink beer and they are able to do it in a responsible way they may help you drain the Skaggs and and and turning back around would you buy one I would I would George your first off welcome to the program what's on your mind George right get afternoon and I like beer it makes me a jolly good amen amen yes and I watched at B. and B. Iorio interview this morning and it kicked me off like not that man she's made getting water order mail each year and she's all in with Roy Cooper on shutting down the state and she's telling reporters that these people she is meeting with she didn't have to tell you what's going on in the meeting to try because it's not a meeting with the county commissioners not a public trips eight right where in the heck do she did all she dictator I made she she works in a lactaid and why don't the county commissioners stand up and fired but well you know why because they all carry the same additional after their name I mean it's you know use a single party rule for all intents and purposes all I'm saying and I agree with you a hundred percent George I'm glad you're a jolly good fellow from that beer that's a great song idea I want to see full transparency I want to know what the advice was maybe somebody out there's got better advice maybe somebody out.

"Be watching things and it's all going to have an impact on all of our personal lives all of our professional lives we're going to keep you up to date it's not about being fearful it's about being prepared and that's what we're gonna do stay connected red winter ball Monday afternoon three to six your emergency situation station the stock eleven ten nine ninety three WBT reputable show happily spending this time with you and I'm happy to welcome to the program somebody whose work I've admired for years and years it's covered the biggest stories in America over the last fifteen seventeen years you saw him do great work over at the fox news and now he's doing great work Adam Housley dot TV Adam Housley joins us Adam thanks so much for making time for us today coming up it's good to have you on we were obviously paying a lot of attention what's going on with corona virus and it's taking up a lot of energy and and that sort of stuff that we rightly so obviously it's a very dangerous it's a very dangerous virus that's going around but there's a lot of stuff happening inside DC that otherwise is not getting looked at you've been raising the alarm on a number of these things and one of the things I want to kind of drill down on with you is this the stuff for finding out about the FISA court in the wake of obviously what went on with the Russia investigation and of course the Muller investigation it appears at least by the stuff that's coming out from the inspector general there is a real pattern of corruption inside the department justice and the FBI's relates defies yeah exactly America not to harp on chorus the really quick coming one of our guys just heard but Boston University has announced though there's a guy there that may have the first live sample corona virus which is a massive break they got it yeah they got it from Washington patient which allows them to start checking the effectiveness of drugs immediately so that's a huge deal she just came out boss university because Google what I like tweeted out is wild article came out about it it's just fantastic breakthrough but that's you know and and not not a not a conclusion but it's definitely a big huge step for sure in the process back to get a FISA court this is a big deal I mean people home to care for this reason basically what was happening and this all began and what's interesting about that the final report was that the final report the report just came out right what people are taking it to different lights one they're saying oh this is the way that basically say well everybody was corrupt there was anything particular about it in regards to politics such a simple saying that's what this means I don't actually take that I take it because I've been saying all along from when we broke the story couple years ago that this one back before trump trump got brought up into it obviously in his in his transition team and all that stuff got caught up in that stuff but I reported a long time ago that just got caught up with other candidates as well wasn't just president trump who the candidates are democratic candidates got taken up and if there's one in particular who I I cannot say because I'd promised his chief of staff that I would not but if the Democrats you know that basically was was unmatched and what what this means is the way that I'm told that happens is that you know you take if you don't know how this works this is a very very elementary web explaining it but basically it allows you to follow that a couple of phone calls and you can get details of time here other people's conversations that might allow you to get information that would be hurtful towards them in some cases it's not even necessarily illegal that the the information that was obtained but it's still a permission that you know might be like to use be used against them and the first ringing up for me you know a bunch of other reporters was or not a partial view of us because people follow up on this one because you know it's because it's arguably would help the president in some ways people automatically assume that you're disturbing the president not understanding the fact that this happened I'm sorry but I can tell back to two thousand ten and it was a mis use so much so that the court felt that they were being misled that's a big deal when the FISA court says we're we were misled and now this report comes out saying basically the same thing and that the use of the ambassador of the U. N. under Obama again and started before trump sure Samantha powers name who doesn't have the clearance to do this she says well she never did someone else must've done it her name will that make it even bigger if she didn't do it who is doing her name and why did they have access when she is useful to have access to all berry big questions it's a very big controversy because the person the president are going back and forth to the speech playground antics we elected president of the press or not is a matter me had to go back and forth on this no one's looking into it the frustrating thing to keep in mind also because we the people forget so quickly the press was directly targeted contemporaries of yours were targeted by investigators Cheryl actors and other folks were were looked at bye bye bye by the that we that we know of right I mean you know that they're coming over to the James Rosen was one of my colleagues he was definitely one Cheryl Ackerson CBS's aloe Vera was one I can tell you this I I can't guarantee that I was on my college Jennifer Griffin but we broke a lot of the big out the stuff which was also completely exploited by both sides and and the true that's never come out I know it's been politicized by everybody now we say that god will think it's a conspiracy which is a lot of baloney right that's a lot of stuff we have to learn from it a lot and the fact is with that with with this situation there we we we were told later for a week you guys some papers that you know because of certain if you if you knowingly accept classified information troubles with port yes I will I was told Hey you're gonna get this done some of them try to link this to you your jet and they did we try to look at paper dot I never accepted them and we don't know what the paper said but the point is is there a chance that other people were involved in other journalists were were watched besides Ames in Cheryl damn straight it's almost like it not only likely probably a hundred impossible because you had him being watched who's to say they thought that you're supposed to yeah listen we we watched in real time with the impeachment you know just a couple months ago as a sitting member of Congress that the president's attorney another journalist and John Solomon and and others were surveilled in real time during the midst of that investigation I mean this is if they can do to those folks if they can do to you if they can do to people that are established news outlets they can do it whatever they want to the little guy and let's talk about that because I think the little guy the regular voter out there go get up and going to work until a corona virus now felt like there might be some reforms coming in the wake of all this mess there are you optimistic that there's going to be any sort of reform and we have to bring that pressure on these on these Congress critters I don't remember I think the president I think some of them have stuff on them I believe that I mean I'm not trying to be conspiracy there because I'm not that type of person but you know there's just too much evidence out there to say otherwise and you're absolutely the young P. the the the general population should be you know upset they did to their own agents I know multiple agents who had this done to them I mean this is this is absolutely unacceptable and you know when you talk about the fact that this was a complete misuse of power now wasn't with they became political but I don't know a lot of my friends on the right I'm I'm quickly all over the board what I've heard about it like this was all about trump okay maybe if you care about trouble you have to understand this began before right before he was even running and and they flat out misuse that they took her took advantage of it they they they found and get information and did and went searches for people that were completely uncalled for and you know that's that's the piece of power to complete over stuff that's not what our country was supposed to be like you know and yet you're always gonna have politics you're always gonna have that kind of stuff unfortunately but that is just flat out unacceptable and I think that Americans should be upset I mean it didn't affect you sent some people to wonder really mailing after people that really matter baloney I'm sorry in order for journalists an existing people didn't do anything wrong some cases is essential for us to find out what's going on in the world you know it and now you're on the phone and you've got a target is ridiculous yeah I listen that's that's the sort of thing of and that that happens in Tierney's Adam I'm so happy that we're able to get you on I'm I'm hoping this is the first of many conversations we're gonna have on these issues because the context that the background is vitally important let's get together again very soon for much longer significant okay Hey man that's great Adam Housley follow him on on the website at Adam Housley H. "To hear any discussion about the possibility of any economic downturn and anybody who must be talking about this must be talking the economy down to help the liberals you're so twisted up in yourself you've got to get over this thing Monday morning at seven news talk eleven ten ninety three WBT new stock eleven ten nine ninety three WBT reputable shelf as we continue to await the appearance of the president added states expected to declare a national emergency over coronavirus let's check out on the phones with that with a couple of folks out there see how things are going can is can is first up here can welcome to the program your thoughts on this day as we wait to hear from the president yes Sir I know the groan of ours could be a big deal and and I know I can get it thanks to my family to get it but I don't worry about that so much as I do what we as a society or the country well what what we're telling the world because basically we're saying if you want to shut it down if you want to close that down the easiest way to do that is to released some type of biochemical warfare or release from some some type of virus that nobody knows about or or or the jump from a year to do a lot of places are that they're maybe not perfect prepared for and and you can shut us down I'll be completely closed down that that's my fault listen you're right to think that way I I I have felt that way that this entire run that that people were getting a little too upset and and you should be concerned that maybe she should be concerned about everything all the time you know be be aware of things but don't be paralyzed by in your circle of friends can are you seeing friends of yours coworkers are actually scared or does it feel like it's mostly coming from TV in terms of the the panic everybody that I associate with I mean everybody that I've talked to about this they feel the exact same way that I do yeah I'm thinking okay well that the majority of people that I'm talking with I feel like I do what was everything why why why does it doom and gloom and M. and this guy was fall and if if if if if if if I and and look I know we could be faster than that sure but it is it just seems to be media driven and it is a it is a just the mass hysteria coming from coming from the the the media is saying that way to me so that when you this morning over that big supermarket grabbing nineteen cases of water and forty two packs of bud of toilet paper that when you right now forty three tactical well played my friends they check in from time to time I appreciate you can be safe out there and I appreciate your up your check and see this is what's interesting people are worried about other people but the people walking around generally are not worried and paralyzing TJ's here I'm here we're in the studio right now we came in we came to work what we'll keep doing this until they say well you just got to hang out at that other place for now let me talk to Tim next up to him welcome to the program we're waiting to hear the president go ahead Sir town you're a strainer I was coming back from the border going for Alabama I got a call from girlfriend and she told me that distortion or charter were cleaned out for toilet paper so I stop there in Alabama and there really weren't all that concerned about it sporting a tall paper song landed up the truck did you really now is this for personal use or would you be making it available on a on a constant basis for people who are getting some of that out to friends and brought to rest transaction balances will grow so well we we made it sound but we don't need this much I did go to Walmart you know and and some of the people at cost I'm not jacking the price higher you may I know a I respect I respect a man with initiative that's good stuff there to him and I keep in touch with us let us know how that market is it is working for you clay Travis did note earlier this morning over on his outkick the coverage Twitter feed they had a map of of the United States and there were only two or three states that had not yet had a had a corona virus issue and one of those states interestingly enough was Alabama Alabama had not posted a corona virus case yet and a clay Travis surmised as as some will that clearly you know Alabama's got that we got to they got the upper hand right now and we have to wait and see what ends up happening he also implied that that coronavirus is afraid examine I don't draw your own conclusions folks seven oh four eight five seven oh eleven ten seven four five seven zero eleven ten let me check in quickly with it says here well you're a student you and see see what's up what's up well how are you Hey man thanks Brabham is awesome I just want to give an update on what's happening on your P. C.'s campus online learning so we're no longer going face to face unless you have a lab okay and honestly around campus I've seen no panic I've seen nobody wearing wearing masks doing anything crazy because of the virus and I'm the director for students for trump on campus there and we were out table yesterday got thirty five forty names signed up to our club wow well that's really great don't don't let me let me ask you in terms of giving any kind of a tough time horizon how long this is going to go for for the online or is it for the rest of the semester my guess would be the rest of the semester I think that they gave it a deadline all right good stuff okay well good luck with that and check in with us from time to time we certainly wanna get your perspective as a student in the UC system out there lots of stuff happening we're continuing to wait the president of the United States to to do this announcement that he is going to make and we don't know there's a lot of reporting that that's going back and forth saying he could do this or he could do that it's gonna be important here from the the president specifically about what it is that we are looking at and what it is that they are they are but pump plant planning and in fact in that regard I am told Alabama and West Virginia have no case Alabama and West Virginia have no cases of coronavirus and so Anthony Fouts she's been doing hard work he's been trying to reassure the public but he's also been very serious and sober about what it is we're facing in addition he said on Friday that this this crisis will last for a few more weeks at least a few more weeks maybe up to two months this will continue to be an issue he said there is no doubt we have not peaked yet in terms of severity and that it would get worse that's his job proscription not prescription as an assault but he's he's he's saying that it looks that it's going to get worse than it has been found she says he's not sure if the U. S. would reach full shut down mode but that's not off the table the reality is we can't we can't get a full shutdown mode because you have to have law enforcement professionals you have to have emergency first responders out there they're gonna have to be people who administrate and do work I mean the roads have to be repaired bridges have to be repaired people have to be able to have electricity and water so you're not gonna have a full shut down it in that regard the military's obviously still serving because up in new Rochelle New York you have as we speak that that quarantine in a fact being administered by the National Guard there are more than seventeen hundred people in the United States with corona virus forty two people have died as a result of the illness in California doctors have been receiving tests from the CDC that are actually missing crucial components what we got to get our act together and that one for sure there's been a hurry to approve privately developed tests for the virus and get them to the public that is where innovation kitchen folks that is where the innovative nature of some of these companies are able to get this done that's a big deal we're going to continue to monitor all of this we're expecting to hear from the president I'd states at any time when he speaks we will go to him live our phone number for you to be a part of this conversation as we continue to monitor coronavirus Morgan other stories as well seven oh four five seven zero eleven ten I'm grateful to Brett wonderful show newstalk one ten nine nine three W. "Ninety nine three WBT she found the Coakley before I give you some polling information I'm gonna remind your prediction I made in this program and I stand by it I do not believe any of these announced candidates right now on the Democrat side will be the nominee I believe a dark horse candidate would merge now I've heard names mentioned the possibilities and no Hillary is not the person it really isn't there are people I can envision jump again Michelle Obama Oprah it's going to have to be somebody totally different from every single one of these clowns running right now although I'll tell you that much but I don't think any of these people will get the nomination I don't think it's gonna happen it would be a disaster and I think the numbers are going to bear that out here in just a bit try to Chris in Monroe good morning Hey good morning Vance been looking for a little while this morning through some of your comments posted by Chuck Schumer real quick I'm sure he's going to be the most impartial juror this is going on I just actually feeling he's gonna end but know what trump tweeted out working their support used on the train foreign today in in on her sincerity and called so it's pretty sad yeah learning you most recent comments for say what I want to start with I've got the same three that you have there's no there's somebody out there in the wings is kind of whiteness gun jumped in and try to steal the thunder and still sure are they just at the right time and not be at the last minute and you know in the house Democrats are not always you know thinking about strategy how to do things at the right time but it's always used in treatment goes today if I was president trump I would just take this lying slam model pale and wears a badge of honor because these Democrats have just shown this is just the ultimate so sure of their stupidity and their ignorance and I would just wear this final honor I hate is the slang word is a proud to you know the same thing that happened in that sound bite and claim it's not the same thing and everybody knows and I know about where the slaying of as a badge of honor so this will be the first time I will see me this allow me the last time this happened to a Republican president don't for this this is going to disappear keep happened I'm afraid yeah and I think you're right about that it seats just a desperate political tool and so you know there's really yeah I'm as you've described here there's really no way to stop this when you've got Republicans who have been out numbered in the house and you hope you hope the Republicans will be able to take the house back in the next election cycle this is going to be even more challenging you've heard us talk about all the retirements among Republicans so this makes that challenge greater let's talk about some numbers and again we're still eleven months out but PJ media is reporting the fallout from Democrats impeachment of trump seems to be getting worse for Democrats not only to a plurality now oppose impeachment and removal but trump is now leading all of his likely democratic rivals for the White House in head to head matchups this is a USA today poll according to recent national survey president trump defeating former vice president Joe Biden by three points Bernie Sanders by five Elizabeth Warren by eight mayor Pete by ten Michael Bloomberg by nine now we can we're a long way away from the election next November but the president still a very strong position at this time in the twenty twelve election cycle bomber was consistently beating Romney in national polls they were out then given trumps already overwhelmingly negative media coverage the partisan impeachment hearings the Democrats were the best chance to knock trump's numbers down but instead of his likely rivals crushing him in national polls he is now beating them wonder.
