"Ryan Blaney's 59 race winless streak came to an end Monday evening in The Rain delayed Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Blaney led 7 different times during NASCAR's longest race of the season staying up front for 163 laps and taking the checkered flag. "A New York City college professor is fired after first having a confrontation with abortion opponents at school, then threatening a reporter with a machete at her home. Art professor chalene Rodriguez is seen on video posted to social media by the anti abortion group students for life using profanities to berate them and shoving some of the materials off their information table at school. She tells them they're triggering her students. The New York Post sent a reporter to her apartment and has a video of Rodriguez threatening him with a machete to his neck. And he said that while it was tough going through and he wouldn't wish that on anyone, it's still he thinks that that made it made the House Republicans come a little bit closer together. And I think you're seeing that happen right now where they just pulled off the remarkable passage of the debt ceiling deal that is forced President Biden to the table to negotiate. Now we're seeing something similar from first republic, which also found itself in Dire Straits after the fed rapidly raised interest rates, and they had a bunch of bad stuff on their books. So we're going to talk about this. Jamie Dimon says, hey, this chapter of the banking crisis is over. We've stepped in. We've got this thing, got it under control, don't worry, everybody. But I don't know. I don't know if everybody is fully on that page just yet. There could be more shoes to fall. I am curious to see if Steve Cohen, the great collector of art, Luke said Aaron judge looks at his own lineup that just saw a ten and a half game lead get a race by an Atlanta Braves teams that hits a lot of homers and says that's the piece I need for my museum. And just puts a huge number out there, yeah, I think the number is going to start with a three. My big question is whether or not the Yankees chase. I've said all summer, I don't think they will, but there's going to be so much pressure on how Steinbrenner. If House member wants to live with a whole winter and in spring, when he shows up in Yankee Stadium, getting booed, boy. And buster, let's face it, here we are on October 5th. Coca cola was guzzle a coca cola at a press crepe game so i imagine that they're just there to be like we know you're not going to drink this but we need to get the product placement on. Tv paid a lot of money for this. He sat down and he moved. The bottles out of frame held up his water and said water as in. I guess i don't want these two coca cola bottles. But i don't think anyone was expecting him to drink a moved them and i'm just going to drink water then coca cola saw its share price drop by one point six percent to fifty five dollars and twenty two cents which is still pretty good. On the pitch he suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch Had to have cpr. It was very very very scary. I saw a lot of people on my twitter timeline. I had not been watching the game. And i saw a lot of people reacting to it saying how terrifying it was and i had this pang of fear of like whoa a bunch of people might have just watched. Somebody almost die. I mean he he technically was well and then so my second reaction was like i have to turn this game on and then my third reaction was like no i don't. It's a weird thing of working in sports where it's like when something happens in it's like go cover it and talk about it and i was just like i don't think i'm going to add anything to this conversation. It's just gonna scare me and hurt. And what i realized was like i think when moments like that happen when we become confronted with mortality situations. Where we're not expecting to. And i think corona viruses like a much more diluted version of this. I think that like we forget that a hug feels nice after.

Chris paul is vaccinated so i believe it's ten days two consecutive negative test. I thought that was if you aren't vaccinated. I thought that's what i read. Because i know for golf when they pull jon rahm off the course and he's not. I believe jon rahm was not fourteen days in the clear. Jon rahm is vaccinated. Oh he is okay. It's so weird to me. It is so weird and then it also feels like it's not like every time. I think it's weird that i remember that like in order to go to school we had to be vaccinated and nobody ever made a big fuss about that. It wasn't like our privacy was being infringed upon we all just like i'll go get my measles my vaccines you think i wanted to know but we did and now it feels like it's become i don't know it's just this topic in general gives me so much anxiety for many reasons not the least of which being i'm terrified of needles thinking about needles is enough to make me light headed. It's the the one thing the i don't like us. How quickly. I say this that we we are just general. Everybody of assuming the person's not vaccinated or a that they are like dumb and like let's let's pump the brakes. Let's see if we can get some facts on this before we just jump bonham combination of number of factors that leads to that one being that are afraid to speak about things now because they get used against them which is silly in itself. Because if you're being honest and you're speaking honestly then it shouldn't matter if a narrative is spun because you can address it again. Speaking honestly and continuing to be honest and transparent. I think where people freak out is that they start to worry about how certain words are going to sound. And what they're going to be lumped into so then they're not fully transparent about their views on something or they say things like. I don't know i want to wait until i have. All the information and know reporter asks the follow up of but your coach brought in an expert to give you all of the information. So what information are you lacking. What information are you still looking for. Everybody is defaulting to these terms. That get them out of accountability. But don't actually address their concerns. I think that there's a lot of fear. I think that it's not necessarily conscious fear. I don't think it's like a lot of people would admit to it being that they're afraid but if you're not getting a vaccine and you have reasons one of those reasons you gotta assume is like a fear that something's going to happen to you. It's like you don't trust. And i think that what stinks is that right now. What we're seeing is people who are very frustrated with the way that this pandemic was handled both by sports and leagues and teams and then even bigger governments and just look global. I think people are frustrated with the way that it was handled on both sides and people think that it should have been less restrictions than people thought they should have handled it quicker and now what we have is just a bunch of people who are like on split down the middle and yelling at each other and if someone is afraid of doing something yelling at them to do it is not usually the course of action. That is best. But i also feel like. It's too difficult for people to discuss the fears that they're having because they get yelled at if they don't say exactly what they want to like. I i am not yet vaccinated. This is the thing that has come up recently. Then i'm like it's weird for me to talk about the vaccinations of athletes. When i know full well. I'm not vaccinated and i go back and forth on this a lot so walk with me down this path while i try to figure out what i'm trying to say i'm not vaccine to because i'm tacitly frayed of needles. That sounds childish to people. It's very real to me. Once i reached the age i had to start making my own. Doctors appointments in going out of my way to get stuck with needles. I will admit. I do it less. Is that good. No but for this one in particular might approach was. I don't leave my house. i don't go to work. There's not a time soon where i'm going to have to go to work. The two of you who. I've never met in person. Don't even work in the same state that i live in. So if i were to go to work it would be to sit on. Zoom with you and dues. Podcast exactly the way. I do it here. There is i only my house. And so why i'm not vaccinated yet and i'm going to be soon and i don't wanna talk about it because i'm scared so when i started to be like a one of accident it's a who am i to say then i'm like. Yeah but i'm not leaving my house and if my job was to be out in the world and i had to go out in the world i would have had more of a fire under my ass to get vaccinated earlier I just feel like the thing that the nba players and all athletes need to know which is why people are trying to demand their answers on whether or not they're vaccinated is because we're watching you go out and interact with people and travel across the country a pandemic and it will put a lot of people in danger and a lot of people are afraid of going back to where we were were. This pandemic was out of control again and there was nothing we could do and everybody felt incredibly hopeless. We wanna watch sports. We also want the athletes to be safe and for it not to make the pandemic worse but then from the athlete point of view. I think what they would like the public to be more. I guess empathetic to that. There has been whether it's misinformation or information. There's been a lot of confusion about which vaccines in which you know. Like i remember that. Something was reported about the johnson. Johnson vaccine that. When i looked into it i was like oh that was a very small amount of cases but i remember if i hadn't been paying attention if i hadn't looked it up and i had just breezed past the headline my takeaway would have been like. Don't get johnson and johnson and like you've got to remember that a lot of athletes are not sitting at home scrolling through the internet reading through everything they play sports and so they may not know but they know that there's something they should be scared of and then we're all just like get so it's like the has with any conversation everyone's yelling and a couple it just it takes a couple people to meet halfway. Someone's got to be willing to meet people halfway. What is it about this. That scares you and the other thing is that like. I think we didn't know that much about vaccines before and now when people hear how. Vaccines have always worked. They're like oh. That's those numbers aren't good and it's like those are better than the numbers used to be and we never used a question getting them. It's a very complicated situation. All i'm saying. I'm uncomfortable discussing the medical situations of athletes as much as we do as quickly as we do after finding out something like this now. I just feel like i talked to now. Because she wasn't the annoying one she was like yes. She was the more sane like okay people in a situation where they're surrounded by people who are crazier than them. They will normalize themselves out to being. Yes normally she like her first season. I remember her creating this drama with one of the other girls whose name i now forget who had slept with her boyfriend two million years ago and every had a girl yes time. That girl was like every cat was like what's up. What are you mad at me about. She was like nothing. It's nothing and then behind. Her back was like this and then when catcalled or out on it she was like. Why are you guys all talking about me. Because you're not talking if you're mad at her teller if not move on but she was in this weird inbetween but then the season with rocky. She was like okay. This girl's clearly off her rocker. I'd never done this before by like threw up right after my match in the trash cans and i thought terrible but but i was happy that i but it may be grateful because i remember telling people why after this now never gonna. I'm gonna realize how great is gonna feel to be healthy and ready to go. So every time i go in the bullpen. Now it changed my whole outlook like every time i go in the bullpen. Now i might be a little nervous or something like that. But i always tell myself like this. It's way better than oklahoma city. Yeah feel now takes. "Then and then your trainings and agencies not good so then like you know it just ruins the full balance. So i just do quick our workouts. It's go all compound lists really hitting big muscle groups at once rather than getting released And there's days i do six but it's not like every single day i'm in the gym for two and a half hours awesome man. Thank you for sure. Yeah that's a lot of training men. Yeah you you mentioned a union you're talking about lifting weights working out or whatnot but you also mentioned something that a lot of people going now training your mind you know. What kind of things do you guys do specifically to to help your your mental game out. So our coach does a we have a group on facebook and we have He published a called coffee with coach. Will podcast thing. He does ambitions only ten fifteen minute segments and he shares like a you know like a quarter of the day or or something. That's positive for the day to get your day started. And so ill. It'll be like sayings from andy forsillo or david. Goggin air. thomas like some of these really high level motivational guys in hill. Just talk about it in china. get your day. Started thinking positively and motivated and a lot of the things i do outside of that is just listening to my own stuff. Listening to david gardens talked about stuff. And you guys or listening. Doesn't have david organiser or eric thomas than indefinitely. Check them out there you know. Jobe them up along like five minutes. So so they David gardens buca things like just getting outside things reading things listening things feeding your mom your mind with positive stuff because when you're hearing positive in your hearing motivational stuff you're wanting to run your wanting to go lift. Yeah and i think it's also like you know we know he'd pans camper world's camp and they have you know seven eight weeks where they go hard and training and that's like that's what they do and before then you see them laying on the beach and training maybe once a week and and that's some you know some people do that. You have lots success hate on that but the thing is like you know we have no. Upn scamper six weeks. I'm to have six weeks for bongo. Dulong hard competition training everything like that but outside of that leading up to this every single tournament are always going to the gym. Where always doing hard seven minute rounds all the conditioning. We normally do the only thing we changed is we do. Competition pacific like rolls. We do you know starting certain positions or competition. But in that like all the trainings are the same. So it's not any different every single day. You know three hundred sixty five days of the year all year round doing bike were in a training camp so whenever we go and i'm getting ready for competition already feel like i'm ninety percent. They're all i have to do is work on a specific strategy for that tournaments for that certain opponent does not have to do all the preparation of getting ready for three weeks of my conditioning. Back in because i've been sitting around the couch. You know just gaining weight. The will always staying ready in. You barely have to get ready at all for an upcoming competition. Dass was basque. A real quick question hands. yeah for sure. Hey chase How big of a part is strength and conditioning. It's diet to your success. I think it's a big part ashtray conditioning. It could be matchup related. Now, if you somehow lose to the Chicago Bears, and we won't rule that out because the bears were playing for their playoff lives is well, let's just go through some hypotheticals. The Packers would still be the number one overall seed. If Seattle loses to San Francisco in Arizona this afternoon. Now, obviously, the Niners are playing those games in Phoenix because they've been outlawed from their own stadium. But San Francisco I mean, they're a team that's been banged up all year, but they've got George Piddle back now. That's a dangerous opponent for the Seattle Seahawks, not out of the room, a possibility that the Niners could knock off Seattle in week 17 here, the other situations that could happen for the green gold. If you lose and the Seahawks win, and the Saints won as well, this is the worst when the Packers drop all the way down to third, and that doesn't necessarily affect you as much in the first round because your first round opponents in the second or third, she would probably be the Rams without Jared Goff for the Bears again. But where you really run into trouble is in the second round, you may be forced with going to Seattle, which has been a house of horrors for the Packers. And then you know in the NFC championship game, going down to New Orleans to taking on Alvin Camaro and New Orleans offense that's really potent and then the defense that quite frankly, I think it's under talked about. It's one of the best defense is in the NFL that New Orleans has this year, so the road gets more difficult. Obviously, if you have to go on the road, The one other situation is that you know they could end up second if they lose. Seattle wins. And these saints lose to Carolina.
