"You could have a situation where you don't stop a fight quick enough and a guy gets his head caved in, which may have happened in the genome fight on the week before. At the same night. Yeah, same night. So I just think when fighters put all that into their craft and have so much on the line with the outcomes of these fights, millions of dollars potentially, world championships, you've got to have the very best of the best refereeing and calling these fights. Regardless of what state they are licensed in, regardless of the part of the country that they're from, part of the world, frankly, that they're from. You've got to have the very best of the best involved in this fight and Dave and ready to me is no longer one of the best the best. Maybe he was at some point, but, you know, now he's not on that list. So it gets clean and says he's going to protest. That's going to go nowhere. Devin Haney's the winner of this fight, the rightful winner of this fight. And now Devin Haney has something of a decision to make. He stated one 35 for the lomachenko fight because he has been chasing lomachenko really since 2018 19 when everyone, his version of the WBC title. He gets that fight. He wins that fight. And now he's got to decide. Do I stay at one 35 and take a fight with Shakur Stevenson, which while being an incredibly skilled fight and incredibly good fight for the boxing purist is not the most marketable fight, at least not right now. Do I pursue a fight with your vontae Davis who may or may not not want to fight me? At this point or does Devin Haney move up to a 140 pounds and start to campaign at a new weight class? What do you think is the best option right now for Devin Haney?

"It hurts him. I think a lot more because, again, this clarity here. Everybody's going to look at this and say, you really your promoter really blew this fight because of a rematch clause? A rematch clause? That just seems crazy to me. I think the one thing we should talk about when we discuss the timeline is February, February 7th, right, when we're recording this and February 16th, javonte Davis has a trial for his alleged involvement in a hit and run. And if you look at, you know, you and I are not legal experts, but if you look at what happened last year, he had already accepted a plea deal and wouldn't it not formally, but they had worked something out and then the judge struck it down. So usually when a judge strikes down a plea deal, that means that judge is considering jail time. If that person is found guilty. So I don't know. I don't know what the sides have been told here, but I don't know what they could have been told, considering this is a legal situation. I don't think the judge is going to get on the phone with the boxing promoters in the lawyers here. How can they how can they really know? I don't know. That's a separate issue altogether. And I guess they may be intertwined in some way, but yeah, look, if javonte serves even a week of jail time because of this, I think that would push the date back altogether. And I've been told the golden boy's been pretty clear. They're going on April 15th. Like Ryan García's gonna find an April 15th, one way or the other. You know, hopefully it's got your vontae Davis, hopefully not. So as we sit here, kind of and you've talked to people on both sides of it, gut feeling, like, does this get done? Is this an overcoming obstacle for this fight to happen? Well, one thing that gives me hope here is that Ryan has been very vocal. I give Ryan a lot of credit for pushing his title all the while. He has a big, big following. He has a lot of influence and he's not shy about it, especially in an era where most fighters say, talk to my manager, talk to this promoter. He's been like, no, I want this fight. So I do think Ryan will do all he can. But golden boy the end of the day, like Oscar told me, has to protect the zone, right? He feels he has to protect his own. I don't blame him. And I don't know if either side's gonna blame. I may have to come down to Ryan García trying to insert himself. I don't know if you can get creative here. I think the only way maybe is just illuminate the rematch clause. Yeah, and that's boron tank Davis though, right? Because Ryan again doesn't have a remedial. I was like, tanks got to kind of go to Al haman and say, look, we don't need the rematch, whatever. And let's just get this thing over the goal line. Like he's got to be more vocal to me. He's been much more reluctant, you know, over the last year or so when it comes to this fight to be vocal about this. Like Ryan, he's swimming uphill on this one because I don't think golden boys being unreasonable at this time. They've been a reasonable in the past. Like they've done some crazy things on other topics, but this is not to me all that unreasonable for them to insist on being the lead on a rematch. This has got to be to me javonte Davis pushing back hard saying, look, forget the rematch. Like Toronto doesn't care what network he fights on. No fighter does. He's got to be the one that presses ahead and says, look, let's make this fight happen. Forget the rematch. Give them the rematch. The rematch. It ain't going to matter because I'm going to knock this guy out. Right. And if you look, I was looking back at my reporting and you reported the same stuff last year when they were trying to do Charlotte and highly manga, right? That was very similar situation. From our reporting back then, it was agreed at least verbally that the rematch would be on the zone if mongeau won. But in that case, Charlie would have been a very, very sizable favorite. Much bigger favorite in my opinion than cervantes would be here. Maybe that's the difference, I don't know. Yeah, in the past, I know from talking to people at showtime, they have been okay with the your turn my turn kind of thing. As long as we get the first one, you can take the second help. Maybe there'll be a third. We can all figure some of all kind of make money off it. Instead, we're, you know, when we were I'm sure you got the same kind of replies on Twitter. It's like boxing doing this again. We can't have nice things. We can't have this happen. If they screw this one up, Mike. I lose all hope for anybody getting any kind of deal done. At least. Well, yeah, because this time they can't paint it on us, right? The promoters and the fighters all came out and said this one was happening. Whereas with Crawford and Spence, you know, I kind of reported and said that they had agreed to all material terms. And then people saying, oh, you said it was done. No, I said they agreed to all the material terms, and they were fixing language in the contract. And I don't think that those situations are that much that is similar here. The difference here is the Terrence corporate and Ryan García are not PVC fighters. They're not going to listen to what our human says and say, okay. And his guys trust him and great. I'm sure he has done great by them and they trust them for a reason. But Terrence cropper came in, but they wouldn't give him a guarantee, and he wanted certain protections in place, and he couldn't get to fight all apart. And now this might fall apart over a rematch clause. So is that that much different to you? Only it's different largely because the other ones seem so complicated, right? And again, maybe I spent way too much time watching that like Instagram Live of Terrence Crawford always playing the whole thing and reading the back and forth tweets where I was just like, what are we talking about here? Who is involved in this conversation? This is pretty cut and dry. It's all agreed to except for that one stipulation. That's why it really is kind of a game of chicken, where it's like they both kind of stare at each other and see who blinks first and I have no idea who does. I just know that from my conversations and you've had the same ones with Oscar with golden boy, like they're not gonna blink. At least they're not positioning it right now. And will Heyman blink? Will he say all right, rematch can be on golden boys terms? I don't know. That I just don't know. Follow Mike on Twitter, keep up with this stuff over at ESPN dot com. "Fight I think is going to do it because if in a way wins and beat Stephen Fulton in his first fight at one 22, he is going to have a compelling case to be the number one pound for pound fighter in all of boxing. If Fulton wins, I don't have him in my top ten right now. He's kind of in that ten to 15 range on my list, but if he wins, not only do I think he's top ten, I think he's top 5. Like you beat a legitimate top 5 pound for pound guy and you're undefeated and you're fighting on enemy territory. You deserve that kind of bump in these pound for pound rankings. And one thing about Stephen Fulton, like a lot of guys say they want all the smoke, like Stephen Fulton really seems to be that guy. I mean, look at some of the fighters he's faced, the number of undefeated fighters he's faced, you know, a couple of fights ago for the world title Angelo Leo undefeated. He fights Brandon figueroa undefeated at that time. And now he's gonna go over and take on maybe pound for pound the biggest puncher in all of boxing in Japan. It is, you know, just like one on clap. Like bravo, Stephen Fulton for doing this because look, win or lose. He's gonna gain something out of this for me. Like he loses, he goes, it was up to 21 26. I don't think he loses much in terms of status. He wins. All of a sudden he's a big deal with a chance to make a lot more money down the line. Right, and even if he loses, as you said, Chris, he comes back to PBC and the figaro fight is still there for him. Yeah. You know, he can, you know, he can fight fit gorilla again at one 26. That's a fight that people want to see. There are plenty of options for him and the PBC universe if he loses the fight of alveoli wins the fight. His whole career changes his whole life changes. So again, I know we're just repeating ourselves here, but because it's so uncommon based on what he's doing, particularly for a PBC fighter, to leave the PBC universe for this fight on a different network in a different country against a murderous puncher, I mean, wow, you know? So, you know, kudos to him. It's going to be a very tough fight for him to win because he's not a big puncher, and he's a great boxer and he is a tough guy he's a Philly guy. He's a tough guy, has a world of confidence, but it's a very difficult fight, even though in a way is moving up four pounds from one 18 to one 22. So, you know, very much looking forward to that fight, whether it's 6 o'clock in the morning, 7 o'clock in the morning, whatever it might be. Just an excellent excellent fight. And hopefully with him doing what he's doing, what your vontae Davis saying, I'm fighting Ryan García. I don't care what anyone else wants. You know, and fighting what was not an easy fight against Hector Ruiz Garcia as what was supposed to be a tune up, per se.

"Have that kind of drawing power and you can fight whoever you want, they don't have to listen to sanctioning bodies, but that was a bizarre press release. The WBC released a couple of weeks ago. All right, let's move on to the fight this weekend. Also in a lightweight division. Javonte Davis, Raleigh Romero, a couple layers to this fight. But I want to start with the fight itself. Romero was discussed and it was actually named as an opponent for javonte Davis last year. He withdrew after sexual assault allegations came up against him. He is back now and this fight is going to happen on Saturday for Davis secondary title at a 135 pounds. How dangerous is Raleigh Romero in this fight? Because he's undefeated, he's got power, but you and I probably would both agree shouldn't be undefeated. He lost one fight. It looked like he should have lost one fight against the Mariners. A couple of fights ago. And. He's just so awkward. And maybe that works to his advantage because he can hit Davis with something he doesn't see coming, but it also leaves him incredibly vulnerable for some of the shots that javonte is going to throw. I mean, I think that this fight is going to be entertaining for as long as it lasts, but I don't think for Raleigh Romero, it's going to last all that long. Yeah, probably not, Chris. I wholeheartedly agree that he lost to Jackson marinades. I thought he lost as many as 8 or 9 rounds in that fight. I didn't even think it was, I didn't think it was closed. I didn't think it was controversial in that he won. But Jackson Marin is, in my opinion, clearly won that fight. Beat that as it may, here we are. They are fighting on Saturday night and. At least rolling Romero got his opportunity because, look, I mean, what happened to him late last year? He was, he was not charged with a crime, you know, and understand the woman filed a police report. And I also understand that show time Mayweather promotions, everyone involved in organizing the event, had to remove him from the fight at that time, because he was under investigation sexual assault. But at least they did the right thing and rescheduling the fight though, because in the court of the actual court, he has done nothing wrong, right? So at least he's getting this opportunity back. I mean, I'm not pretending to know what happened between him and this woman, but what I'm saying is it was thoroughly investigated by the Nevada, the Henderson Nevada police department and charges were not filed against him. So he is getting the opportunity that they should have gotten December 5th here at least. But you could also argue that he doesn't deserve this opportunity because he lost to Jackson Mariners and he's fought a relatively low level of opposition, Chris, if you go, if you go through his record, the last three opponents that he has beaten because we'll include Jackson Marin, isn't that Jackson Mariners? Avery sparrow and Anthony, none of them are punchers. So Rolly Romero might have a good chin, but we wouldn't know that because he hasn't fought a puncher and any of the fights that he would consider higher level fights for him against world ranked contenders. I don't think any of those three fighters had more than 8 knockouts going into their fights against roli Romero. He's clearly fighting a puncher on Saturday night, right? Because whatever anyone wants to say about javonte Davis, he's one of the most devastating punchers in boxing. Now look, Esau Cruz has a pretty good chin, a pretty hard head, and javonte Davis seemed to aggravate what was an existing hand injury relatively early in that fight. So we went to distance for the first time in 16 fights and all that. But we'll Rolly Romero be able to take javonte Davis's power. I'm not so sure that we have any evidence of that. But to your point, Rolly Romero is a one thing that Rollie Romero can do. He's unorthodox. He's awkward. He came to boxing very late. He fought and he was a judo fighter for a very long time and didn't turn to boxing until he was 17 years old. His skills would be, I guess, best described as unrefined, right? He is awkward. And he does a lot of things that create unusual sequences and fights, I guess, is the best way to put it. So could he catch javonte Davis in an exchange and heard him? I'm sure he's strong enough, certainly, to do that. Will he be able to do that? I don't know because I think javonte Davis is going to go into this fight. He's a smart fighter. And he knows how to pick his spots. He's not going to go in there reckless. He's not going to go in there emotional no matter what role Romero has said about him or how he has tried to antagonize them throughout the build up to this fight. He's going to go in there in a smart calculated way and try to get him out of there when the time is right. So I would expect this fight to end within 6 rounds at some point and I would expect your vontae Davis to win the fight. But roly Romero is dangerous because he can crack and you get hit on the chin the right way by a guy who can crack. Who knows what could happen. In that way, I think maybe the odds, the od are pretty wide. I think javonte Davis is about a ten to one favorite he's -1000. I think roller Romero's plus 900. That might be a little wide just based on rolling Romero's punching power. But if you're analyzing their skill sets and their level of opposition and what they've accomplished, it's probably about right. Yeah, it'll be a fun fight for as long as it lasts, but I don't think we'll be talking about the judges at the end of this fight. That's the only prediction I think that could be a 100% accurate. As we look at that one, the subtext of this matchup Keith is that it is the last fight for javonte Davis on his contract with May with a promotions. Javonte has been all over the map on his future with Mayweather promotions for months. It seemed like he was going to leave Mayweather after this fight branch out on his own. Still remain with Al Heyman, which may be the only thing that really matters when it comes to fighting outside of the PBC universe. But not be tied to Mayweather this week. You know, he was quoted as saying, maybe I'll stay with Mayweather. I have the best team. That's out there. We'll see what happens after this fight. Let's start there. What do you think the future of javonte is promotionally after this fight? It's interesting, Chris, because what you just said, everything that he has indicated leading up to this fight is that he's leaving Mayweather promotions after this fight. He hasn't come out and said this publicly, but I know that he has been annoyed by the way Floyd Mayweather has treated him publicly in that, you know, he often whispers in his ear as if he's telling him what to say. Interrupts him and says, I'll take that question and javonte Davis is going to be 28 years old in November. He's a full fledged adult. There's no reason why he shouldn't be able to for himself. I understand there have been times earlier in his career where they didn't want him necessarily to say, yeah, I'll just fight this guy that guy and that guy. And then not fight those guys because they knew that he was not going to take those paths. I understand that to some degree, but there gets to a point where someone again is an adult. I mean, there's no reason he can't speak for himself. And I think he's been very frustrated with the way Floyd Mayweather in particular has handled and publicly. You know, there's a lot behind the scenes about their personal relationship and they've had their ups and downs personally and everything. I think as far as I know, David, it's really appreciates and likes Leonard ellerbee. Leonard has been a champion of his career from beginning to end and often has said, you look, Leonard's been honest in that he has said whether people like it or not. Most people don't like it. He's been honest and saying, look, we're going to fight who we're going to fight. And this is going to make a lot of money doing it. And we're going to draw big crowds. And we're going to do he's never said we're going to do a huge pay per view numbers, but we're going to do pay per view numbers that will satisfy us and allow us to keep doing pay per view fights with trevante Davis, particularly because we're making a lot of money at the gate. He's been very honest in that way. So I understand it's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and it has led to javonte Davis fighting on a lot of opponents that people don't want to see him fight. But from a financial standpoint, he's been very successful. So you could look at it that way too. If you're javonte Davis, you could say, look, I've been well compensated. They've developed me. He's, of course, developed himself into a draw by the way that he fights. And people have taken to him for sure..

"With Sal Carpaccio on the Western Hotline might show up in the bulldog here. I like the point about this move being for whatever comes down the road. Mean? This. This group has been good at finding players not on the superstar level to play roles, especially on defense, and I could see them still wanting to do more of that. Yeah, I agree. I think they have Ah, good, solid personnel department, which finds players and is able to fit them into what they do, and guys wind up stepping up. I mean, Look at John Feliciano and what they parlayed that into look at. You know Darryl Williams. And what was that was partly to do. Are they perfect? No, of course not. There's been Mrs as well. Josh Norman did not turn out. You know, Vontae Davis, we know a few years ago did not turn out. You know, that's the other position people talk about which is corner. I get a lot of questions. Howard asked me this morning. You know, corner this thing before the digs news came out. You know who what Corners are left out there, and there are some I just get this really big sense that the bills really believe in danger Action and Levi Wallace and they're gonna let him battle it out. Maybe they bring in another corner. I wouldn't doubt it. I do not think it's someone they bring in. It has some sort of hefty salary, though that kind of immediately vaults them to the top of the depth chart. Because of the salary, they're making, no use. They signed Josh Norman to what they signed him to. It kind of becomes the defacto. He's gotta play right, And then he was the starter, and then he got hurt and Levi played, and Josh Norman never really saw the field. I don't think they want to do that again. I think they really like listeningto everything Brandon being said about Dane Jackson and watching Dane Jackson play last year. I think they have high hopes for Dane Jackson. So sure he could You add more to it? Yes, but I think generally, if a guy gets released after June 1st, it's generally a salary cap. Move. Well, that means it's a guy that's making a pretty good salary. So if you're going to get that kind of player, either he's gonna you're gonna get him for a lot less price, or it's just those players just don't come available after June 1st. The lower level guys are gonna be released because they're not making as much money for teams to save. Yeah, I admit definitely being focused on corner when I think about defense, but we had a guy call us earlier today sale who was rattling off aging pass rushers. Um, defensive line in General Starla Tulay, um, like that, You know, that happened last year, and I don't think the bills really had someone to plug into that spot when he opted out and Um, I don't know what the plans are for him this year. At this point, we know last week, at least when you were there. He was one of the players not in attendance at the offseason stuff. I don't want to draw a big conclusion out of that 11 situation. Um, but that could be a position that could use maybe, um, you know, some reinforcement. I agree. There is a video out today. Um, I retweeted it Several people have of star literally working out. Apparently, um, at a facility. I don't know if this is in Utah. He's he went to you Tell me I don't know where he is. I shouldn't even say that, but he went to Utah, so they're tag, but he's working out. He looks actually pretty fit and even slim down a little bit. S. So does this mean that he's getting ready to be in buffalo and work? We'll find out if he's there. Tomorrow. I'll be out in the field with the rest of the media will be able to watch, you know workouts, but I think this is a good sign this particular video that shows him working out and someone said, Hey, he was there. My son. Was there pretty cool, So I think that's a good sign. But at the same time I still think you have to look and think about what's down the road. And what about if there are opt outs negotiated by the NFL in the N F l P A, because that is on the table If opt outs are negotiated, you have to think that that could be a possibility for a guy like Star. You still have K one short. Who's out there? Still, General Casey was out there. These air Players who put time in this league. They're pretty good. The bills have to at least have them. On speed dial or someone ready to go. If for some reason, they realized that Starla tool he's not gonna play or if they don't like what they see out of their group overall when it comes time So you saw that too? You think he looks good? I So Sal could be right that it's a good sign. The first thought I had that when I saw it was Eric would and Rob Gronkowski. Like it looked like a guy to me that dropped the way he plays a position where it's good to be big and physical, and he looks like a guy to me that I didn't play football for the last year, and this is me in shape. It's what I thought. Hmm. About Is he doing a push up for every day of the year? Way know anything on that salad from probably even had a chance to ask him that yet. I have to report that I have retired from the push up challenge. Man. It's not the challenge Did you win something? E don't think I want anything with my arms are a little bigger s. Oh, that's something but no, don't no prizes. It's not because I wasn't keeping the pace up. I wasn't the 1 48 the other day. Wow, that's great. And then it was Maura that I started to hurt my shoulder started to hurt. And I've always thought that my technique wasn't exactly great. So you know, it was a holiday weekend and I had my wife and then she was home. And then my sister came over and friends came over and I'm doing push ups and they're all telling me No. You got to do no. Move your arms. No, do this And you know what? Let's videotape you and you can watch yourself and you can see out of so at one point on Saturday. Retired to my room, and I'm just going, all right. This is what I think I need to do. And 10 was hard like this particular way. My hands were in tight, right? And OK, don't lock your elbows and get your butt down and all this and I'm just sort of like driving myself crazy. And 10 was tough, and I'm like, you know what I can do A more reasonable number. Walk. And even do some other exercises and be just as well off, if not better, and not like feel like I'm wrecking my shoulders. Yeah. You don't want to do that. So as to be honest, like yesterday. I didn't do anything. Yeah, you today off Like I took a day off. I took a look of me day. Go, go, go, go, go. I mean, especially what was what's What's the end game? What was the endgame for this to do? One push up a day for every day of the year that it was so I'd be doing 365 on New Year's Eve. Which would amount to 66,000 and some for the year. Holy cow, and you know, it was always half baked. They just have a friend who did it. Okay? And he lost £80. I was really going for weight loss, but I'll get in shape. This would be a way it was right. It was new Year's and I'd cove eight and I was sort of locked in my room. Like what? Am I gonna New year's resolutions? What I'm gonna do. I know I'll do this because that means I'll do one push up tomorrow. New Year's Day, and that will be something that we have accomplished something by doing one. Well, I could do to the next day, you know when it goes on and on, but for the reasons I said it was gonna be. It's gonna change the regimen and I'm not going to get to that number so there, you know. Creative though. I like it. I wish I could take credit. It was wasn't going to tell you Just do it. Just do 100 Day, whatever. Like they would do whatever you can on the guy I've been. I've been doing 100 a day for a few months on Leon work days and you know 25 at a time. And I have also improved my technique, which means I'm getting it's harder to do right. I mean, there was a time when I was doing him. When I was there with you in the studio. I would throw myself down on the floor and do 40 or 50. But my technique was garbage. Now that I've I've dropped some weight, so it's easier for me to do them. I think Mork correctly. I'm still not ready to have anybody videotape me doing it or watch But I know because my body is telling me that I'm doing something at least closer to correct. Yes, because it's it's harder for them to do 25 now is much harder than it was. Two months ago. Yes, I think my technique is improved. Good. I never consulted anybody. I never talked to my doctor about it..

"Yeah. There's a lot of unknown. There are a lot of unknowns there beyond Levi Wallace. Levi Wallace is a pretty certain commodity, right? Well, that's why I said beyond leaving and I think You're not going to get any more than that on any team in the NFL. You got a three year starter who has held it down and got you. You've been to the play 1 13 games with him last year. And he's exactly the type of guy you want mentally. And maybe he's deficient physically doesn't take all the bar. Not fast enough. Not physical enough. Whatever. But the guy. Has been impossible to replace. I mean, I can't get I keep getting back to that. They've tried everything. Except short of a high draft short of David draft intraday. Obvious white again. They've tried, they read. And by the way they did bring in Kevin Johnson, who was picked every bit his highest Davis White. He was a former first round draft choice. Yes. He couldn't get him off the field. Josh Norman couldn't get him off the field. Dane Jackson couldn't get him off the field EJ games. E. J. Gaines couldn't get him off the field on was the other guy who's the guy that risked retired at halftime? Vontae Vontae Davis couldn't get him off the field. So you can say what you want about the uncertainty and cornerback too. I think you're pretty certain about what you got. Now. He may be not at a level that you wish he was. I get it. But man Oh, man, He's no slouch to do a lot worse. I'll tell you this, There'd be a lot of teams. When you bring him in. They wouldn't even have to try hard to sell. How good assigning he was. He's a three year starter for team has been the playoffs two of those three years. This guy can go. He's been in deep he's made plays in playoff games. He's a starter for a team that was in the eighth C Championship for 16 games that season. That's an easy sell to any fan base except the one he's playing in. So I'm not saying I'm thinking Levi Wallace is gonna have a bust out season, be all pro. I am not panicking at all. You can't have superstars at every single position you don't you have if you have serviceable, dependable players. And you have enough stars. You still win a lot of games. As evidence is a third as a 15 wins him last year and I listen, your continuity is there for Levi Wallace. He knows the system. He's also a guy who continues to Try and try and try to get better and better and better he's got. He's got a growth mindset. He's everything they want him to be, and not for nothing. He's dirt cheap. And you know that level of play and dependability and he's dirty and he knows how to play off all the other guys on the back end because he's played with him the last three years, Greg on the Tweet sheet says. Is there anyone else that thinks they haven't done enough to improve their roster from last season? Yes, they're a good team, but in my humble opinion They still aren't on the level of a Casey or a Tampa Bay. I think Steve would respectfully disagree. And essentially say I just got to play better when they play him as he so eloquently stated earlier in the show today and has done several times over on previous editions of this program, and Don't get me started. Go back. Yeah, listen to the podcast. You rewind a half an hour to get my opinion on that happen, our Eli says. I'll say Keeping the roster almost intact is the biggest decision made this offseason. Continuity is very important as players can perform better. They have been playing together for a couple of seasons now, which shows with the performance on the field. They had a key pieces to the roster on both sides. But C should be the answer. Which was the choice of you know, keeping the roster is hard to argue with bringing back a largely intact group that won 15 games the year before, and she could have won 16 except for a hail Murray. I mean, it's a it is. They had one swoon in the week five and six when they didn't know who or when they were playing. They showed up out of nowhere. And then they played the team that was in the Super Bowl the year but two year the year before. And this year Been the last three championship games they lost by 10 to that team on a rainy night. On Monday night Football. This team is all this team is They're loaded for bear. They've got a fantastic roster. They got a great coaching staff. They've got some continuity. There It is. Absolutely all systems go. There's no team in the NFL. Tampa Bay, Kansas City Green Bay. Baltimore Cleveland. No team in the NFL of this team will walk away from and not feel like they've got a chance of winning. Tell me how much of a revenge factor exists. For the week. Six game Monday night at Tennessee Because of what went down last year there with all the circumstance, they'll be a little bit of that. Yeah, no question about it. All the teams to beat your last year that put a blemish on your record, but you know, they handed it to him in that game. And we know and part of the reason why, but Yeah. That was their clunker. That was the entire reason why they didn't. They didn't know They were gonna play the game until 36 hours before they had to get on No 36 hours before they take it off. And, you know, they know they knew 12 hours before they got on the plane. That's why they lost the game and at Tennessee's good team, but their defense last year the Bills would Bill should have carved those guys up and they would have on a full week of getting ready. No one they were gonna play him and you could say, Well, they knew it was kind of no I mean, they had to start game planning for Kansas City during the latter stages of their Tennessee preparation, and because they thought they're going to play Kansas City, then they gotta reschedule. They said. We're gonna play it, But we're gonna do this and they messed with the schedule again. Then they said, we're gonna tell you Sunday night who you're playing in where Are you sitting there on your hands? Not knowing what to do. Yeah. And for a player in NFL player Like a big mind game you need. It's a routine. By the time you get to the seventh day of that week, when you're on game day, you have prepared yourself day by day by day by day. I know exactly what you're going to stand up against and play against on Sunday complete clarity all week. Crystal clear what you got to get done. You get 24 36 hours notice on a team like Tennessee who's just the opposite of that? Tennessee. They were either playing or not playing. They were. They were leaping and bounding through a grass covered meadow throwing flower petals out. They were so happy they were so fill in joy and felt so free to ban note. They were not supposed to even play the game, let alone win it. They had no pressure. Just eight. They cut loose and play baby. Let's go, and they're playing against a team. That a didn't want to be there didn't know they were gonna be there and wanted no part of that game. You just put an image in my head with that description of like Mike Vrabel and Taylor Lewan tiptoeing through the tulips there. I can understand, too..

"Think of you and consider you, Ray writes in Texting. Thanks, Ray for this a while back now that Tebow is signed with the Jags. Oh, it's time for a special edition of our picture bills. You're a good man, E. Not the not the guy rode the record show not every single time we subject you to this. Ray brings up an interesting point with that. I mean, how does this affect the Jaguars? How does this affect the bills? No, No, You're not biting. Come on. You know, I'm trying to what could happen. To do. I mean, obviously, the bills made a significant move. I don't think that that would be coming. I'm trying to think if there's a move out there like we're all waiting to see if Aaron Rodgers gets traded. The strong Watson stuff is on hold. But Richard Sherman Okay, signing with their still waiting on Richard Sherman. He's the only guest on Lee. Name out there. Rizzi can't be the only There must be some other. I mean, a name that Ah, hi. Sold name, right? Um He might if where was where he signed back with No, he was He's not going back to San Cisco, right when he signed with the Jets because of their new coach. Yeah, I'm trying to think of what outside Aaron Rodgers. Another big net. A big name free agent is sitting at home. I don't think there'd be like somebody like a huge release of a player that would change that would make you you know, pick the bills again. Yeah. Outside the Rogers thing. I don't know. Yeah, well, I mean, the Rogers thing would be notable if He would have to be traded to a team on the bill schedule for you to make me have to pick the bills again. Well on cue, Actually Colin from West Seneca, Texas in thanks whether you guys were signing your your text we can, you know, give you credit. So Colin writes in Do you guys think Levi Wallace could be the second corner on a championship caliber team? I do. You could. Could you do better? I'm sure that there are plenty of corners out there not necessarily on the free market. But you know other teams. You could probably upgrade, but I don't. I don't think Levi Wallace holds them back from being a championship team. No, I don't. I mean, I know just let's just hone in on Kansas City Do I think the bills could beat the Chiefs with Levi Wallace? A cornerback? Yeah. Can you score more? I mean, I didn't lose to Kansas City twice because Levi Wallace was getting torched. Um, I mean, Kelsey was a bigger issue in the two games than any of them Hill or any other receivers. And that's not Levi Wallace's issue. So, yeah, I think you could. You could absolutely, uh, win a Super Bowl without having a quote unquote. Every down to me with. Can you win with him? Yes, To me. Actually, I'm curious is does does he actually win the job and play every snap? Are they rotating cornerbacks again? I still think There is another cornerback move coming of veteran and I don't think it's Richard Sherman. I don't know who it is. I haven't checked the free agent market to see who's still out there. Post June one. Maybe we'll see some cuts. Um, I just still think you know, this is a team they brought in Josh Norman. They tried with Vontae Davis. What? E. J. Gaines. I just I still think As much as they can say We're okay. Got Levi Wallace. We got Dane Jackson. We drafted a guy we're gonna have a competition will be fine. And it might and they might be right. I just still think There's a cornerback move coming. There's a veteran guy they'd like to bring in and at least say, Bring the guy in for a shot and may the best man when the job come August. Just do think that's coming. At some point. You know, As you lay out those names of those veterans, the Sherman idea has always made sense. No, the numbers would would fit right depending on how much he he commands. Do you think I don't want to say Richard Sherman has a reputation. He's a great player. He's a Ambassador for the league. He's out spoken how whatever you want to toss on it. Do you think that they would shy away from him for any reason, because of any sort of idea about that? That he because he's too opinionated? Maybe that he brings headlines. He brings attention. I don't think that You know, Once you're at this stage of the game, I don't think you shy away from that and I would be I wanna have faith that that's not the kind of thing that they worry about as much anymore. You know, the year one. You're a coach that wants to make sure that you establish your culture. All that, okay? Now. I don't think that there's any sort of stuff like that. Not even to suggest that it would be justified to keep Sherman off of your board because of that, because I don't think it would be even justified. I think they would not shy away from it. I think, Actually, I pulled up the list of cornerbacks that air still Free agents according to spot track. And then there is actually a guy worth mentioning. I thought he didn't sign anywhere. Stephen Nelson from the Steelers, right? Didn't they think they caught him too? I don't know. That was I don't know if that was a free agent didn't resign or release. I'll double check. But I think that he and Sherman would probably be the to Josh Norman still on the market by the way, he and Sherman would probably be the two Best guys out there right now, Buster screen. Huh? Brian Poole? No, but shot Breeland from the Chief's is still unsigned. I think Sherman and Nelson of the top two guys, how bad was Josh Norman? I want to say you know the game is that? Yeah, I was gonna ask you why you asked that way because I didn't think he was bad. No, I don't either. The real my first thought was when you said he's on the markets bring him back because the community could use some of the work that he does. He was great work in the community thing. That's a little businesses. He's an asset to have in an NFL community. And to me, Norman got a bad rap, because when they asked him to be the one in a few spots, he got torched, but he wasn't supposed to be the one No one try. White misses the game in Tennessee. He gives up the touchdown against the Titans on a great throw to a great receiver. And I think when you gonna do with you, he's not supposed to be in that spot..

"Thanks. Right. Well, your mind, Rob, You're here in Atlanta with me, man. You my neighbor. You don't even call me up. Well, you know, I listened to your show every night. I get off the 12 every night, So I listened to your show, but I've been trying to call this the first time I've ever gotten through. Well, that's a good thing, man. That tells you how damn busy we are shot out. Everybody listening on 92 90 game. What do you think about these quarterbacks Rob? Man. Listen, I'm an old guy, so I typically go with experience over youth, But I have to agree with you with Patrick Mahoney's. He's good that did was different. Um, Second, I got Brady and then a close third Aaron rocks. Okay, That's legitimate. But why would you take My home's over. Brady. Man, more homes. He just I mean, he's been doing it. He's been doing it this year with without a running game. And he just got so many weapons man and you know, he can do it with his arms and his legs, and he always be pretty much makes good decisions as well. So Um, you know, I like Brady, uh, second because he's got a lot of weapons that he hadn't had in a while. Right? Well, he got that. That is true. He has some of the best places ever played with his entire career. Rob, I appreciate you for calling up from Atlanta and thank you for always listening to the show, Man. You be well, okay? All right. Appreciate you, man. No doubt about it. Let's go from Atlanta to Arizona. And let's get Josh on the lawn. Joshua on CBS Sports Radio. Give me that quarterback. You have the most faith in Hey, thanks for taking my call Jr. First time caller is well, um, that quarterback that I would take right now. I feel like you have to take my home's, uh, given like other people have said, given the circumstance and the situation he's in. With Andy Reid. He's in the system that's built to succeed. What? I don't hear a lot of people talking about, though, is Russell Wilson. And why is he not brought up? Um, sure, he's probably not his mobile. As more homes, but that guy cannot live and make plays and making no no, no, no, no, I wouldn't. I wouldn't even say that I wouldn't say mobile as my homes. I just think he is. Yeah, I wouldn't want to take one over the other protection know that my Holmes has even well, that's behind that's behind the line. When I think about quarterback mobility you can either talk about in the pocket or outside. And I think once amazing in the pocket as far as mobility Ghost, um that's why he's able to, you know, stay upright and not take this many hits as, uh, these other running quarterbacks, but be dead play when it happened. And Russell Russell. Wilson also knows when to get the hell out the way or slide once he's going past the line of scrimmage, So I mean there. There are some very good on his part, but I feel like you have to go my homes and Rogers and then I'm taking Russell Wilson over all. The Brady callers. Oh, so wow, Russell Wilson over Tom Brady. Wow. Right now. Right now, the guy who's won a Super Bowl and who can actually deliver a ball down the field on that need to Yeah. Damn. Thank you, Josh for calling from Arizona Gut shot. He hit you with the juror. Vontae Davis writes of the ribs. Damn Can't wait for that fight. When is Ryan Garcia? Gonna fight? Geronzi Tank Davis. I love to see that. One shot one Jovon state, saying Davis shots to Ryan Garcia's ribs and Ryan's gonna have those Drew Brees ribs. Trevor's calling from Cleveland. Trevor, you want CBS Sports radio? What quarterback? Do you have the most confidence in So Listen, I've heard a lot about Pamela home. Aaron Rodgers obvious for two choices, but nobody is talking about within the two minutes. Baker Mayfield. He is likes out. And if you watch film and watch footage Baker Mayfield. Is Q B. R It's in the highest in the league. Um, so I feel like I just kind of wanted to hear your take on what the Browns possibly do, and Baker Mayfield within the two minutes. Trevor. What is the last time Cleveland is going to the playoffs? You know the answer. Playoffs would be 2000 and two. Yeah, I believe we lost first round to the Steelers. And and you're right. It was 30. It was crushing me. Quote Trevor? Yeah, You're You're answering a lot of questions here, Trevor. Thank you for calling from Cleveland. I don't know what he's doing. What does it matter? What Baker Mayfield has done. In a two minute drill in the regular season. He's never played a game. He's not going to have his head coach out there. I don't care. He's played better this year. Congratulations, Pat on the back. Good. Do it in the playoffs, and it's gonna be difficult because it's like everything is stacked against the Browns. It's unfortunate I want to see them go out there. I want to see them be competitive, but I don't think it's gonna happen. What the hell? We need the Pat Baker Mayfield on the back four. Go do it just like everybody else. No one can legitimately look at Baker Mayfield and say, Oh, well, he has the physical talent of Josh Allen. No one can say that he's getting the ball and moving it like a Pat Mahomes. No one can say that he has the feet of Lamar Jackson. He looks like a glorified game manager. Can he go out there and throw darts and lasers? Absolutely. He can But the majority of his career Even this past season. We haven't always seen that and all. Yeah, I know is the run game to run game. I know about that. But he's not in that same space as some of these other quarterbacks. That's just the fax. And it sucks. That God, I guess he hates the Browns. And he says sorry. Good luck. I can't even believe he got into the conversation here. What quarterback? Do you have the most faith in We got to give. You know Baker Mayfield. Some credit. Let him play one. Let him play a game first. Have some have some faith in me at the quarterback. You know, the last time I threw a football in the playoffs, Never Let's go to Hawaii and talk to Dan Dan you on CBS Sports radio. Which quarterback do you believe in the most? Hey, man, I gotta go with moms. I mean, by far the best in the game. As far as I'm concerned, my number two I got a radio Rogers because I mean for me, you just post in the regular season like he's always done playoff time. Now it's go time. He's going to go and be in the soup was far as I'm concerned, but a lot of people like to knock my home because he has Kelsey Hill. And read, but that was the same team that always chilled just like Caligari there like all time choke artists and the homes of the X factor that brought him over the top. Every game last year there behind he brought him back and the old line is in the playoffs. In the old line is not good. Yeah, he's always running for his life, but somehow he always buys time and get the ball to the receivers. That's him. Not not the team, not Andy Reid and And for Brady. I mean, the knock on him is, of course. He had the goat coach. That's why he decided to leave Tampa and I will see how he does for me. That's gonna be a suitable match up. It's gonna be a good game. But the torch is going to be passed and my home is gonna be The man, that would be cool. Thank you, Dan. I appreciate Dan for calling from why he made some excellent points. He made us points and assistant fashion which I love..
