"So Pitt, Green Bay, Giants, Tennessee, New England is who I am looking at. I got them all right. You did. So we'll go in order. Pittsburgh plus 128. So as you said, the Lions are in the Super Bowl. I don't know if people realize that they're already on the program and stuff because they finished the year so strong last year. Such a strong ending to the year, right? Oh, of course it's gonna carry over. Pittsburgh was seven and two in their last nine and almost beat Baltimore. And Pickett, I thought was legitimately solid. And now it looks like he's even taking a step up. They had a good draft. They had Watt missing for three months last year. Warren might be better than Najee Harris. I guess we're gonna find out. They got Pickens in year two. And I'm just looking at them going, I think that team can win the division. Yeah, and they had a great off season. I mean, Patrick, well from Minnesota, Tomlin's a great coach. Look, that's the biggest, when you get that media train behind it, like Detroit. So they both play, this is what I keep telling people. They both play Carolina in consecutive weeks. Pittsburgh goes into Carolina and kicks the living shit out of Carolina. I mean, Carolina can't do anything against them. They win, the score, I think they won by two touchdowns or eight points, but the game was never that close. They kicked Carolina's ass. The next week Detroit goes down there and Carolina kicks Detroit's ass. Like Pittsburgh's a really good team. If they would be in the NFC North, they would be the favorite to win the North without a question of a doubt. I mean, they're really well coached. The quarterback didn't make mistakes the second half of the season. Remember that Baltimore game that they turned the ball over three times, my man, MVP Mitch came off the bench in a relief through two red zone touches interceptions. He couldn't wait to help that happen. So that killed them there. I think they only turned the ball over five times in that nine games, in that nine game stretch. And three of them came in that game. So yeah, I'm with you on Pittsburgh. I really am. I think Pittsburgh- They might have a chance to have a top five defense, right? Or top seven. There'll be somewhere in the, if everyone's healthy, I think it'll be in the top. When I was in Cleveland, Kevin, we played in 1989. We played in the Astrodome. And it was, we were either going to be the number two seed in the AFC or we were not going to make the playoffs if we beat the Oilers. And they were great. They had Warren Moon. They had this great team. I wrote about them in the book. It was incredible. Kevin Mack scores with 47 seconds left to go in the game and we win the game. We get the number two seed. That's the last time, 1989, that's the last time the Browns finished ahead of the Steelers in the North Central, whatever you want to call it. Think about that. That's the last time it happened. It's the last time. And so like, they're just physically mentally tougher than a lot of these teams. Well, you must have loved the Tomlin quote this week. Oh yeah. That was Parcel's quote. He just put it around in a different sentence. So for the people listening, he, what was it? You know the quote. What is it exactly? I've never known a boxer that can win a fight if he don't spar. That was his pre-season. Yeah, I'm going to play my guys some of the pre-season games. We got to have some, put some sparring in. And then you have other teams like Cincinnati would always start last couple of years slow in September. And that's a team, I love Cincinnati. Like I was one of the only ones that was all in on them last year. I think I thought they were going to be in the final four and they were, but it does worry me. The slow starts now Burroughs hurt and tough schedule for them. They're a really tough division. I still think they're going to make the playoffs, but I do think that division's wide open. Yeah, I do too. And look, I like Cleveland. If not now, when for Cleveland? I mean, really, if not now, when? I mean, Cleveland's really good defensively. They've got, you know, good rushers. They can run the football. They've got the best running back in the league. I mean, they can do so many good things, Philly. I mean, the Cleveland, they just have to win these. Now, Cade York, big problem, right? I mean, he missed another kick the other night. Like they've got to figure out this kicking situation. I don't know if they're going to give up on a fourth round pick because the kid's got talent. Think about this, Bill. Some of the best kickers in this league, Buckner, the kid in Philadelphia, and then the kid in Carlson, right? Elliott and Philly, right? All those guys were drafted. Well, Tucker was, but all those guys were cut and put on a practice squad that the teams took, right? So, you know, Kansas City took Buckner off the Carolinas list. And so, the same thing, Carlson was drafted by the Vikings. They gave up on him early. Now he makes every kick. I think he made a 60-some yarder last night. Koo's another one. Koo was on what, the Chargers? And now ended up in the Falcons. Yeah, then he got the Chargers jinx. Remember the Chargers couldn't make a field goal to save their life, you know? So, I mean, that's the only concern I have about Cleveland. Cincinnati, five and four the last two years starting out. They're going to be different defensively because their safeties are going to change, right? They're going to play, you know, they lose Bates, they lose Von Bell, they're going to start Hill in there. They're going to be different defensively. I think it's going to, and they haven't really, they don't do much in the off season. I mean, Zach Taylor's kind of like, I want to rest, get the guys healthy. So, I don't think- No p-rind, lot on mixing this year. I don't think you can start slow in the North and come back. I don't think you can. Well, then Baltimore's another one because Baltimore's defense is already like decimated. Yeah, they're bad. I mean, they can't cover anybody. I mean, they've been one of the worst secularies in a while and Marlon Humphries, who's a really good player, needs to play in slot, not outside. I think it's going to be fun to watch. And he's out for a while, right? He's going to be out for a month probably. No, they're not going to say, but you don't have an ankle injury and come back and play great corner all of a sudden. I think that's going to be hard. Look, they talk about, all they talk about Baltimore is, you know, they're going to change their offense, change their offense, but they got to run the football. They got to keep that, because when Miami had to throw it on them and people have to throw it on them, if you block them, if you're signing Clowney this late in the summer, that means you're worried about your pass rush. Totally. Yeah, the other thing with Cleveland is just, what do we do with last year's Watson season? Do we toss it away? Is that the guy he is now? We haven't seen him be good in three years. And that's my hesitation with them, because I'm with you. They have a ton of talent. To me, Pittsburgh is the safest bet. I really like Pickett. We've been, there's been a lot of Desmond Ritter propaganda this season about the weapons. And I bet on them a couple of times last year with him. And I just didn't see it. I didn't see any flashes or anything. And Pickett, I mean, Pickett got knocked out in a game. I thought he took some big hits. I thought he got better as the year went along. And I just like him. Yeah, I do too. And you see, the problem is Pittsburgh's offense isn't sexy. Nobody talks about it, they'll throw for, they just win games. They run it, they're effective. Their offensive line is much better this year. Friar month is one of the best tight ends in football. They can block at the end of the line. They just don't, Pickett was effective with the ball. Look, if they don't let the Jets come back on them in that game where Zach Wilson has his finest hour, they're gonna win that game, right? I mean, that was, remember that was- Zach Wilson's finest hour, coming on NFL films next month. I mean, that's a 30 for 30 for you ever. I mean, they win that game, they're in the playoffs and nobody would have won a play, they were too physical. I'm with you. Cleveland has to prove to me that they're mentally and physically tough. I think that's the issue with Cleveland. Well, they're coach too. Are they gonna win a close game? How about Stefanski? I don't know if I trust him at all. I certainly wouldn't put him in the top like half of the coaching circuit. He's probably in the bottom 10 or 12. We just haven't seen it. Well, I mean, I don't know who he's talking to in the box, but when you have fourth in your own inches at your own 25, what do you get out of that? Like what could the analytics tell you that tells you you should go for it? You only get three more downs. You don't get a touchdown. You only get three more downs. Like, why would you do that? Well, that's too logical. Let's take one more break and then we'll go through the other teams here. This episode is brought to you by our friends at State Farm. All right, the kind of can't believe it teams, Green Bay Plus 138. And I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with them. I think they're gonna be good. I'm kind of in on the Packers and especially in that division. And if you just give me the Lions over here and the Packers over here, and you're saying with the Packers, well, they don't have Aaron Rodgers anymore. Okay, he didn't play well last year. They didn't really have Aaron Rodgers last year because he wasn't good. Love's been waiting for this for a couple of years. They have a lot of assets on both sides of the ball it's a team that's succeeded, had been in playoff games. They have a lot of first round picks. I don't know, I just, I could see them go in 10 and seven. The Plus 138, nine and eight might make the playoffs in the NFC, that seems logical. I'm with you, they gave up 34 points to Detroit in two games last year. And if Rodgers would have played half decent in either game because they turned the ball over in the red zone, right? And that killed them. I mean, their defense the last half of the season, I think gave up an average of 17 points a game. I mean, they were really good at the end of the year. They were playing good defense. They were healthy on defense. The front seven's really good. They could rush the passer. I mean, they're good. And they're young. I mean, other than Preston Smith and Devontae Campbell, they're a young defense. They can run around. Alexander can cover anybody in the league. Their offensive line, if Bakari's back, he's good at left tackle. I mean, and they got two young tight ends. Now that'll be, but these young receivers, Dobbs and Watson are really good. I'm with you. All love has to be is good. You know, it's funny Packer fans. He's like, just be like a B minus. And we're good. Be a decent point guard. That's all you can be speeding clocks in a point guard. That's all you gotta do. Just be a decent point guard, right? Of course, we drafted him in the first try. Anyway, anyway, we'll go. No, B.K. Vincent. Just B.K. Vincent. Bring the ball up for some threes. Exactly. So like, think about this, Bill. It's been since Don Majikowski took a snap and they went from Mikowski to Favre. They've had like 11,000 days of having Favre and Rodgers and they've only won two. This Packer fan base has been spoiled. Like you don't need to always have the best quarterback in the league. Like they have had that, right? And they're just gonna have to find a way to win. Now, the problem is I worry about Lafleur. Is he gonna do something that I don't like? And that's what I worry about. But to me, watching him this summer, I think he's running the offense that best suits Love. Their schedule, they play the AFC West. So that gives them Vegas and Denver and then NFC South, which potentially could be favored in every game. Hard games for them this year at Atlanta, at Denver, at Pittsburgh, at Detroit, home Kansas City, at the Giants, at Minnesota. That's really it. So it's sitting there for them. And if they hit their draft, which is always the hardest thing to figure out with this stuff. But people seem to like their draft. I'm with you, I really liked Watson. So anyway, I have them down. We crossed off Carolina. We don't need to talk about Chicago for more than five seconds. Cause I think, here's my thing with Fields and you've gone even further with it, but I just wanna see it. It's like, just let me see it for like five, six games. Let me see games where he goes like, 25 for 36 and throws for 320. I need to see some variants other just when I'm in trouble, I take off and I'm scary that way. I just wanna see it. I'm not ruling it out, but I don't trust it. You're even more dubious. Yeah, I just wanna see him get good. I think we've got carried away that he's this elite thrower. Like just the other night, they're playing against Buffalo. He's two for six. He makes one throw to DJ Moore. It's in the dirt. It's not very accurate. And I wanna see him have rhythm to his game. I wanna see him process. I don't wanna see him like, oh, I don't like it. I'm taking off and running. I admire his athleticism. I'm not disputing that, but I wanna see him play quarterback. And the longer he doesn't play quarterback, the more defenses are gonna force him to play quarterback. The other thing is the Bears are not good on defense. I mean, they're not good on defense. I mean, the Buffalo went right down the field. I mean, Tennessee with their backup, with their starting offensive line and Malik Willis went right down the field this summer autumn. So they have to turn the ball over in Chicago. But I just would like, I think the expectations on fields is too great. Lower them a little bit. Can he get to where he'll throw 30 passes a game? Cause for last year they averaged 22.4 passes a game. But I mean, other than the Miami Dolphins in 72, I don't know how many teams just average 22 passes a game. I heard you talk about this on your pod and I looked it up. And in the 21st century, it's one of the three teams that threw the ball the least that we've had. And they were behind in every game. Well, that's the thing. I did some stat where it was like teams that had five wins or less and the least pass attempts. And you would just think, all right, if you're behind, you're gonna throw the ball more. And they just, they wouldn't throw the ball even when it was like 38 to 10. They were just afraid to do it. They don't want to. They know what they have. I mean, they say all the right things, but they know what they have. And they're gonna do exactly what you should do is manage the quarterback correctly. We have this notion in the NFL that all these quarterbacks are just elite and you just let them out there and play. That's not the case. They all have to be in the right, like Hertz is in the perfect system. I think Richardson will be in the perfect system, right? Like all these quarterbacks, if they get into the right system, they really look special. There is a case for Fields, right? Better weapons this year, another year under his belt. We saw him throw more in college. So I'm definitely not ruling it out. I just, I wouldn't bet on it either. To me, they're a wait and see team. I'm a little, after what they did to the Patriots last year, a little scared of them anyway. But all right, so- But he's not gonna be the MVP. Like that's what I keep guarding me. Like, why are we betting him to the MVP? All right, so the Giants were plus 172. That was the other one. That one I like, because to me, if they hadn't made the playoffs last year, I would even like them more. They kind of snuck in, they were 971. I don't think they were, even they didn't think they were a playoff team. Somehow they win a game. So now it seems like last year was this huge success. And it was like, maybe this was the year, not last year, that they were gonna make the jump. They just took advantage of a weak NFC. They played Minnesota in the playoffs. They have a lot of talent, you know? And they're gonna, they can do specific things. They're incredibly well-prepared. They're really hard to play. They have a really good pass rush. They can cover, like the linebackers are probably the weak part of the team, but I don't know, 10 and seven seems realistic to me with them. I just, I have a hard time betting against day ball. Right, I think if they were in the AFC, we wouldn't have this conversation. I think they would lose out. They would be one of a lot of good teams. But in the NFC, they kind of stand out. I mean, look, when Daniel Jones is running and moving with his feet and using, because he's a good athlete, I think they're a better offense. I think if he's gonna be a pure pocket passer, the game's moving too fast. But when they get his legs involved, like, and he, last year they did it. He was their second leading ball character. I mean, they use elements of the six-back offense in there. And they, and that helps Daniel Jones. And I think with Barkley and him, they're better defensively. They, you know, Waller, if he's, they're using Waller as a receiver, which is what you should do, right? Waller's not a tight end. He's not blocking anybody at the end of the line, but he could, he's really disruptive as a receiver. They're going nuts about him in the off-season. That's what happened with the Raiders too. They went nuts about him too. And then all of a sudden he had a hamstring and he had a contract. So maybe the kid's happy now, you know, that he's there. And we'll see, but he's a weapon, he's good. There's no question. I just think to me, the Giants benefit from not being in a great, the NFC is not great. Let's face it, they're not. I mean, the AFC, other than to me, Houston, I mean, you could make the case for Indy. What team could you not make the case for? You could say, well, the Raiders. Raiders was pretty good this summer and Grappolo wins games. You could say whatever you want about him, but he's a good player. Tell me what team couldn't you make a case for in the AFC, other than Houston? Well, Denver plus 186, which I, Giants I'm on the fence for, so I really have four and a half because I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with that Giants spot. Denver plus 186, I was looking at this hard because as you know, we've talked about this in the past. I love when a team goes from a terrible coach to a good coach. I think that's, and this happened last year with the Giants. It's about once a year when just that coaching upgrade feels like it's not worth like three wins. It's worth like five or six because Urban Meyer with Jacksonville, just not having Urban Meyer anymore and bringing in somebody that was competent was huge. And I really wanted to talk myself into it with Denver and I just can't get there. They've already had a bunch of injuries. People seem split on how Russ looks. I didn't love all the money they spent in free agency. It was like, Peyton's like, I just want an offensive line. I didn't even really love who they got for how much they spent. They're playing in the same division with the chiefs and chargers. Their schedule's pretty hard in general and I just couldn't get there. Where do you stand? I know you have a lot of respect for Sean. Oh, I love Sean, but I think Sean's at the point, I mean, last night Jared Stidham, I mean, they killed the Rams, which, you know, I love the Rams announcers. They're always saying, well, the Rams were playing our backups. The Rams have nothing but backups. Let's just put that out there. So you're playing your team. You're playing your team. You don't have a first team at the Ram. You're just playing, I mean, I think they have, Aaron Donald's the only first round pick on defense. So they destroyed them, but Stidham was good in the game. I think Wilson has not been good before. Oh no, are you going where I think you're going? I'm gonna say if they start slow, I think Wilson's on a really short lease. And I don't think that I know that. He's on a really short lease. Sean didn't go in there with the idea that, oh, we're gonna make Russell work. You gotta fix Russell. Sean went in there saying, you got nothing. You just make the team better, make the team better. So I could see that manifesting itself. Now, look, if he comes out and he plays well, I mean, Sean's gonna do everything to try to make Russell play better, but Russell won't move. Russell doesn't wanna step up in the pocket. Russell doesn't have the same speed and quickness to get away from people that he wants. And those Russ Cook plays are not cooking anymore. So I'm a little doobie. I'm with you. I think there's gonna be improvement in every phase. I just don't trust Russ to be able to turn it back on. I think Seattle was right when they traded him, when he rushed for 172 yards, very low first downs. It was time to move. They knew. Yeah, it's almost like in basketball. And I remember last year we were talking about it on this podcast when like Darren Williams, the point guard, all of a sudden he just wasn't as good anymore. And it didn't make sense because he looked the same. His style was the same, but all of a sudden he just, he couldn't beat guys off the dribble anymore. Something seemed slower about him, but he didn't seem fatter. And that was it. And it was over. And he went from like, he was an NBA player to kind of bouncing around. And I don't know, it seems like Wilson lost some sort of that escapability and athleticism that made him really special. It just doesn't seem like it's there anymore. So then now he's a short guy. Now he's basically the Baker Mayfield syndrome. Exactly. Yeah. And he won't throw with that. It's hard to get him to throw it. How many play actions can you run or all those things he's tried to do it this summer. It's just not happened. Sean's game plan well, he'll run the ball, but I just have a sneaky suspicion. I think there's two quarterbacks to keep an eye on that are going to kind of maybe change the call. I think Kyler Murray, what they're doing in Arizona, I think Kyler Murray's on a very short leash there in terms of their change in their locker room and their culture. And I think Russell, in terms of his talent, even though he's got a guaranteed contract next year, I don't know if that means he's going to be the starter if he doesn't play to the level they expect him to. Whew, my computer almost caught fire. That's a good one. I'm kind of mad. I'm jealous. I'm more jealous right now than anything that I didn't think of. Could it be Jared Stidham time sooner than... Because we saw Belichick do this with Bledsoe and Brady a million years ago. These coaches who are like, I'm Sean Payton, I don't give a fuck. I just want to win games. I don't care who my quarterback, I just want the best one. He's not going to care about past performance. And if he's like, Stidham's better, that's it. We'll sort of be out. I like that. We as fans, we as fans, we don't realize they watch practice. Everybody says, well, Trey Lance didn't get a chance. Well, they watched him in practice. Like he did have a chance. Like they know more than we know. And I think Sean knows what we know. I think Sean knows. Last two Tennessee plus 198.

"He's okay. He hasn't been special. We'll call that a miss. Okay. 2019, the same trade, their third round pick. To the jets, are we still with the same? Because juwan Johnson was a guy, it was Juan Johnson. They took as a wide receiver and converted him to a tight end who now all of a sudden has become I think he was tired or close to the lead the league with touchdowns last year, 7 or 8 touchdowns from the tight end position. That was a guy that was a developmental guy, but go ahead. In 2019, they traded their second round pick. The next year 2020 to use in 2019 to move up in the second round from 62 to 48, so they moved to 14 spots to take center Eric McCoy. Yeah, big time move. Like he's been, now he was hurt, but he's become a Pro Bowl player for them. 2018, the saints traded their first round pick the next year in 2019 to use in 2018. Plus a 5th round pick to move up from 27th in the first round of 14 to take defensive end Marcus Davenport. Really good player. So that works. You become he's become he was a rotational guy first, but guys become a guys become a legit big time player. I mentioned 2017, they traded to move up to take rams check and Trey hendrickson. Great. I mean, great moves. Great with both guys, great players. Alvin Kamara, there you go, enough said there. 2016, the saints traded third and fourth round picks to move up for a second round pick to take safety von bell. Yeah, and von bell is bomb bells not only been good for them, but then he moved on to Cincinnati, he's been he's been a real key cog in that defense that has, you know, what people tend to forget is they did all the offensive movement was all draft picks, defensively they built that team through free agency. Free agent money on defense and they drafted offense. And one more, 2014 saints traded their third round pick to move up from 27 to 20 in the first round and take wide receiver Brandon cooks. What's going on to have a very good career, both with them and some other teams. So when he has targeted a player, it's usually usually worked out pretty good, yeah. Okay, really well. We'll see what they do. Now, in order to do these kind of things, I suppose you could take two third round picks. If you really like somebody to want to move up to the second round to take that player, that's possibility. Or you can start to bring in picks from next year. This is the third round picture like 67 and 68 or something. They're pretty high up in the third round. You could probably go you could probably go all the way up to the very beginning of the third round. If you package those or maybe late second round. Oh, I think you could move up pretty significantly in the second round with these two. I don't know what I don't know what the value chart says on that, but whatever. All right, morning brew is coming up, we'll take a look at the playing games tonight and how they could impact the nuggets. And what our guy, Kendrick Perkins, is saying about the nuggets playoff chances

"The defensive talent, not only this draft, but at least for the next two. Yeah, Dan's absolutely right, especially about that past defense, which finished finished 31st in DVA last year, has been a problem for quite some time with Vegas. I did like a couple of the additions they made in free agency, bringing in market steps, safety, out of Philadelphia, duke Shelley from Minnesota. Smaller sightings, but ones that I think at least add some veteran competence. But in this draft, they need to rebuild that past defense. The secondary, I would say interior pass rush. And then beyond that, I actually think on the other side of the ball, I would look to the interior offensive line, one of the hits from the Mayo era was Colton Miller at left tackle. Jermaine Illinois, they brought back to play on the right side, he's decent as well, but whether you're talking about Jimmy Garoppolo whose performance has dipped under pressure over the years or potentially a rookie quarterback, maybe next year, you need to fix this offensive line on the inside. So that's another area I think the Raiders should look to target in the draft because it is important for that offense to function. You see their picks on the screen right there. That 7th overall pick tempting maybe with this quarterback class and who's going to be available, but don't do it raiders, get some other people, right? Okay, coming up next on NFL live. Glad you're with us here on NFL lives day as we carry on talking about the Cincinnati Bengals and they lost some key pieces in free agency, Jesse Bates and von bells. Those guys not going to be on their team anymore, that defense is going to look a lot different, especially Jesse Bates. You think about the impact that he made down the stretch for them, so they're trying to get back to the Super Bowl, right? They're trying to continue on with form. You also got to think that they're going to have to sign a contract for Joe burrow here relatively soon. We'll get to that later on in the show. You know, what do the Bengals need to do to get back to the Super Bowl this season? Yeah, for me, it's all about young players on the defense stepping up. I'm not worried about this offense. We'll see what happens with Mixon and Jonah Williams. Office is going to be fine. The defense, however, has kind of been the unsung hero of this team over the last two years as they've gone to the championship. I mean, how many times have we talked about their adaptive nature, the bespoke game plans that halftime adjustments they've made and so much of that has been contingent upon the play, the intelligence and experience of Jesse Bates and von bell that safety duo. So now you need Dax hill, who's coming up in a second year to step up, cam Taylor Brit, cornerbacks in his second year, he signed Nick Scott, who was a young safety from the rams, but Lou Anna rumba was really got his work cut out for him this year on the back end, especially to pull off the sort of defensive performances we've associated with him over the last couple of years against the best offenses in the league. I went into this thinking I was going to talk tight ends and maybe them adding Michael Mayer, musgrove, or Dalton kincaid, but to the defensive point that Mina's making. I think one of the more unique things about Cincinnati's defense is how smart their back 7 is. And how much they work in unison, the lying that happens. The landmarks that go on, the verbal and non verbal communications, the cells and the lies in disguise and to mean his point. I think they're one of those really unique defenses that the intellect or the football intelligence is equally, if not more important than the talent. You know what I'm saying? To her point, Lou Anna rumo can't do all those things unless the players are smart because this defense will take a step back if they don't have that. That's just how they're built and if they don't have that and or add it the intelligence is such a big part in this draft process for them, finding those defensive players with the smarts. You also think about how they made a lot of those adjustments in the second half of games. How do young players respond at halftime having to make a quick adjustment? Like, this is what we're doing now to take advantage of our match ups. All right, let's look to the other side of the ball, Adam, because tackle Jonah Williams requested a trade after the Bengals signed Orlando Brown junior, what more can you tell us about that situation? Well, first and foremost damage and tight ends in the Bengals officially announced that they saw an irv Smith junior today to a one year contract. The former Vikings tight end and he's a talented guy that can help that offense. So there's an added tie down. Now the question becomes, as you mentioned, Laura Jonah Williams. And what happens? Ever since they signed Orlando Brown junior Jonah Williams has requested a trade. And he's done that for a couple of reasons. Number one, they obviously are in the last year of the deal with Jonah Williams. They're not going to be able to afford to re sign him. They want him to change positions to move to right tackle when he's played the left tackle position. So there are a whole host of factors. He'd rather just move on and not play there and we'll see whether or not the Bengals trade him. Now, if they lose him after this year, they probably would get a third or fourth round compensatory draft pick in 2025. So they had to come up with an offer this year that would be better, which would be the equivalent of say a fourth 5th, 6th round pick. This year, so as the draft gets closer, you're going to see more and more conversations regarding Jonah Williams and we'll see whether or not they move them, but he doesn't want to be there anymore. He wants to move on and they've signed a replacement in Orlando Brown junior opting to put their resources there. He's got a $12.6 million salary for this year that they could then use for players like Joe burrow and T Higgins if that's what they wanted. A lot of people could use Jonah Williams too. So something to look out for either way. By the way, only Mina kinds have come up with bespoke game plan, which Shan is not similar to your suits that you get from the loss of sound rash. I have no idea what that is. We didn't know it

"Sanders. Yeah, Laura Carolina made a surprising move miles Sanders winds up there. Remember during the season the Panthers traded Christian McCaffrey will here is a Christian McCaffrey like replacement. They take the running back off the NFC champions. He signs a four year deal with $25 million. They lock them in there, longer term deal than most running backs getting free agency. David Montgomery gets a nice deal in Detroit, he essentially replaces Jamal Williams, leaves the Chicago Bears, goes to a division rival, and we know that the lions already have Deandre swift. Now they'll match swift with David Montgomery and that should make that offense fairly dynamic. Speaking of which, Jamal Williams finds himself going to New Orleans on a three year $12 million deal. Let's keep in mind that Alvin Kamara could be facing discipline. Yes. You're still coming season. And so the saints could be leaning even more heavily on Jamal Williams, just as the Lions did, this past season. And yesterday at this time, the Dallas Cowboys made it official releasing Ezekiel Elliott after 7 highly productive seasons in Dallas, Zeke's now a free agent looking for a new home Dallas still would like to bring him back. We'll see what the open market produces for Zeke and whether or not it makes sense for him to return to Dallas, certainly some teams that could use them, but I think Jerry Jones and the cowboys still would like to bring back Zeke if that were at all possible. Oh, interesting. So we'll get to those teams that could use him, but let's talk about the cowboys. They've decided obviously to at least move forward with Tony Pollard as their lead back. It's not hard to see why as you see the numbers. Ezekiel Elliott averaged only 3.9 yards per touch last season, which was the worst mark in the NFL among 50 qualified running backs. On the other hand, Pollard averaged nearly 6 yards per touch, which ranked forth worth remembering that Pollard's coming off the injured leg, but key, where do you think would be the best fit for Zeke? Well, Adam mentioned the Dallas Cowboys, which is obviously a fit if he goes back there. But I think you can start to look at it. You look at buffalo, right? Buffalo wants to try and run the football outside of Josh Allen. I think when you look at Zeke, it wasn't necessarily about his performances. It was about the money. He did have 12 Russian touchdowns on the ground. He averaged on the ground about 3.9 yards in his career. He's averaged over four yards of carry. So he is a gold line red zone nightmare for defenses in Buffalo needs that help the Cincinnati Bengals can use him as well in Adam did mention the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah, when you think about Zika, so much of it to keys point goes back to the money that he made, the money that he was paid. And a lot of people looked at the production and compared it to that money and that's sort of a cautionary tale Mina. So what should the next move for the cowboys be when it comes to the running back position? They need to draft a running back. I've seen them linked with Dijon Robinson. You know I love that might be a little bit rich given some positional need, but there's a lot of really great running backs in this draft. And I think they need to do so. Frankly, to learn from the mistakes of Ezekiel Elliott contract, Tony Pollard, you guys have heard me beat the drone for him forever is fantastic. They tagged him. Perhaps they can get a more reasonable deal done. We're going to talk about miles Sanders and Carolina that I would classify as reasonable. But even bringing Pollard back, you still want a younger running back to compliment him and potentially compete with him in your room. I think going with two veterans would be a mistake for this team. That's a position where they should seek to get younger while breeding Tony Pollard back into the fold this year. And that's the thing about Ezekiel Elliott. He makes Tony Pollard better. He compliments him. They need him not only for the production that he brings, but for the way he helps preserve Tony Pollard and makes him a better back. So me and his exact right, they're going to have to replace that whether it is with Zeke, a back in the draft, back in free agency. It's a soft free agent running back market, perhaps it's a running back out there who hasn't found the type of deal that he wants and would like to go play for Dallas on a cheap deal on a one year deal to be productive next to Tony Pollard and hit free agency again a year from now. Gonna be fascinating to see how bijan Robinson fits into this conversation. It feels like a very Cherry Jones thing to potentially do. They have that 27th pick, which Mina mentioned could be a little rich for running back, but these young Robinson is different. I don't think he'll lash the 27. I don't either. I mean, that's the thing. That's the hard part is he may not still be there. Somebody else will grab him up. He is in an incredible fantastic player. Let's head to Carolina where the Panthers have had a busy off season so far, which began last week when they acquired the first overall pick in the draft from the bears. Yesterday, Carolina agreed to terms with as Adam mentioned, former eagles running back miles Sanders, who was ranked 5th in the NFL and rushing yards last season, and the Panthers also added safety von bell to their talented young defense. Nina, what do you think about the moves that the Panthers have made this off season? Yeah. Well, starting with mild Sanders, I absolutely love this for him. Because we saw last year after the Panthers traded Christian McCaffrey, how productive they're rushing attack continued to be in large part because this offensive line in Carolina has improved so much. It's a very good run blocking group now. So I think for Sanders, who's obviously incredibly productive in Philadelphia to join this team, I expect him to continue that production there. And you know, this is Laura, they're kind of making moves around the margins, bringing in hate in her, stuff like the bond bell signing as well. But we all know that when they do draft a quarterback at number one, they still need to give that quarterback help. This wide receiver group is unfinished. I'm not really gonna make any judgments right now because there's still so much time left in free agency with trades, but that is a group that needs to be augmented to help this young quarterback that they graft. Yeah, in my own Sanders is a good pickup for the Carolina Panthers. You know, 1300 yards on the ground, 11 touchdowns a year ago. We saw what he was able to do in Philadelphia, but when you talk about Frank Reich and Jim Caldwell, who likes to run the football. They're going to be running this offense. They're going to be doing some things and you know you need a running game if you select a young quarterback because you're not asking him to all of a sudden become John Elway with his arm. You just want him to learn how to play professional football. You ease the pain by having a strong running game. So I think it's a I think it's a good signing for him. It's not one that'll just be like, oh my God, wow, they picked up mile Sanders and getting ready to run away with the NFC. Well, they needed offensive playmakers. I mean, it's right. They do need more wide receiving help. But this off season is going to be defined by what this team does with the number one overall pick. They made the bold move last week to trade up to get to number one and now they'll shift through the quarterback options. And I think going into the process of evaluating the quarterbacks, I think that Bryce young is the favorite to become the number one overall pick and they will be really. Yeah, let's live there for just a second if we can because some people have thought maybe Anthony Richardson climbed into that conversation after the combine. BJ struck. CJ Stroud, especially with that offensive line. I think going into the process, I think, let me say it this way. I think Bryce young is to the Panthers what Mac Jones was to the forty-niners when they traded up. They traded up with the idea that they really liked Mac Jones and then they went to the process and wound up on Trey Lance. I think in this particular case, this team moved up with the idea that Bryce young was a guy that they loved. They also really like CJ Stroud. He's definitely got support in the organization and we'll see what transpires during the course of evaluations. But I think at the beginning of the process, it starts out with Bryce young is the favorite. Okay, that's fascinating in the analogy that you use there, of course, the moving up of the forty-niners did at that time, of course, we all thought it was for Mac Jones that seemingly was what they thought too. It's also worth noting Mina that this happened, this trade up happened after they had met with the quarterbacks at the combine, so they're familiar with them as human beings is certainly something to consider. What do you think about what Adam just said, Bryce young being the favorite to be that book by the Panthers?

"In need are there? I would love, I would love to see just a dude that is like a guy that is a sideline sideline, absolute beast. I got a name, yeah, I'll shy here. I love Al shair, he's had issues staying healthy. Okay. And he's, he's been more of an outside player. All right. For them, kind of a Sam or a will. Aziz though can play, man. 25 years old. And dude can run like you wouldn't believe. But an inside guy that can flat move. That would be like, I love, I love singleton. And I said this coming in when we sign him, I go, that's a sneaky good signing. That is a dude that because he doesn't have the prototypical size, maybe the prototypical speed. Everybody tries to make him a backup. Right. And every time he goes somewhere, he just becomes the starter and he just makes a ton of plays. Like I really, I really like him, but I'm talking about a TJ Edwards. Is that who you're thinking of like, you know, because he was cut by Philly, I think. I like TJ Edwards, I do. He's a smart dude. Not necessarily not necessarily the athlete that Levante David. Sure. A guy that can just flag go side and he's been around for a while, but that would be a guy that I would look at and say, oh wow, I mean, that would really intrigue me. Okay, so Alex singleton is a, so he's basically where he's been the last few years. He's a good backup plan if you can't necessarily find an upgrade at cost. I would like to keep him and then add another sideline to sideline dude. Okay. I just think he has got just an unbelievable kind of, again. High motor, but he also just football awareness. She sees things and he reacts to things, he's just an exceptionally to me good player. All right, so that's linebacker safety. Kareem Jackson, are we running it back for yet again? One more year, or you possibly looking to upgrade with a guy like a von bell. Cincinnati. Right. I would, I think Kareem is just one of those unique players that I would have on my team regardless. All right, so you're resigning Korean Jackson. Plus, he's not going to cost you a lot to re sign. Okay. Corner, they just moved on from Ronald Darby to Mari Mathis figures to slide into his spot for next season. I like demar math as I think you need some depth there, but I'm not going to overspend. I think one thing that we looked at again, you look at the Kansas City model. When they got into nickel and dime packages, they had 6 rookies. They were all kids, all of them. Yeah, and so I would just, I would just tell you, you know, you got a guy like tyrique woolen goes to the Pro Bowl as a 5th round draft pick. You've got a bunch of young corners who have played pretty well. You've got a just one of the best players in football and Patrick surtan on one side. I think death there is important, but I'm not going after a $10 million a year guy like Darby like you just got rid of. So you wouldn't think about even trading Patrick surtain? No, that would die. That would not cross my mind. You guys can have that conversation tomorrow. I'm not going to do that one for you today. You can have that one tomorrow. I'm sure Michael have a ton of fun with that one, of course. I'm talking about D max newest piece for Denver sports dot com and go read it hot off the presses, the Broncos, they should trade Patrick Strahan. It's our D Mac, gotta love them. All right, corner, kicker, you're not gonna do anything there. Punter. You do need a new punter this year. That was probably one of the dumber mistakes they made last year, I think. Moving on from Sam Martin to save a $1 million. Yeah. For a guy who's unproven, and corals, I think he had some good games, but there were also some really rough ones. Yeah, you're kicking game. And I think this is endemic of the Broncos in general. You're kicking game, you're coverage game. There has been nothing that has been spectacular about that. Special teams have been rough around here for a while. It really has. And I always, I always kind of look at teams that really have great special teams units to me have usually their young and they're super athletic. And those guys are itching to play and because they don't get to play, that's where that's where they thrive. That's their, that's their realm. And I think that you need to, that needs to, I always look at the athleticism and stuff, and I can tell you a team that has the potential of having a really good defense, usually has a really good special teams unit, coverages, coverage units, because those guys are all itching to get in the games. Yeah. And that's where that's where they thrive. And usually you have a younger, more athletic group, covering kicks and doing those things. You've got a better football team. Okay. All right, so here are the positions of need we have identified for the Broncos this year, both offensively and defensively. On defense. You're looking for a draymond Jones replacement if indeed he walks out the door. If they don't get a deal done with him. Most likely, I don't think they're going to. If I'm going to guess, I don't think that's going to happen. I think they'll probably try and add a value player there. Edge depth looking for another pass rusher. You got a group of largely unproven dudes there in Gregory bonito and browning. They need some help. Let me throw a name. Maybe even two. Samson avocado. Yes. Yeah. Seems like more of an affordable depth option. And Samson, Samson, the thing you have to understand is Samson was an outside linebacker with a rams when he came in and he transitioned to defensive end. Sure. And San Francisco transitioned him there and basically convinced him it was interesting because I had this conversation with D'amico Ryan's. Hey man, how did you what was your selling point? How did you do this? And he goes, hey man, I just said you can either be a rotational rotational piece that is never really going to get paid or you can transition to the edge. And have the potential of being a rotational piece there, but have the potential of growing into kind of a big money player. And it's exactly what it's exactly kind of the sales pitch they gave to ebb and saying, hey man, but what you have to understand is Vance Joseph is running a form of three, four, where he played in San Francisco's kind of four down front in that rotational piece. And so. Can he be a legit three, four D I just don't think he fits. For him, I think he would look at this and go, I don't want to play in that

I want to get your perspective as someone who was in the league for 13 years and just got off the field. Give me and my listeners a little, some thoughts on what you think mahomes will go through, will he be a 100% with the high ankle sprain as a quarterback, how much it will affect him. I mean, to me, that's the number one story as we head into Sunday is mahomes ankle and how much he's affected by that. Tell me as a player what we should expect and what do you think about that? Yeah, I can't imagine him being 100% a high ankle sprain. You typically see as a mop entry. At least four weeks dies are out with that injury and we saw how hard it was for him. Mahomes is a tough dude. He gets hurt and right away. He's like, I'm good. I'm good. And then we're watching him jump on one leg to hand the ball. So I do think it's going to have a huge impact. I mean, even when he came back in the second half against Jacksonville, he didn't make a throw outside the pocket in a second half. I do think though the thing with my whole team is just that good. That he can sit in the pocket and still be able to beat you. I'm fascinated by this game. I went back and watched a film of the Bengals game against the Buffalo Bills. I went back to the Bengals game versus Patton Holmes early this year because with the bangles and Lou Adam Romo defensive coordinate what they've been able to do and stop some of these high powered almonds and some of the best quarterbacks in the league as fascinating to me. And then you couple it with what you just said, mahomes is injury is how do they attack that, watching that first game, they blitzed some, but a lot of it was playing coverage and when they did blitz mahomes was getting the ball out quick or fading back and being able to throw the deep shot. Now with the ankle, do they get a feel for them early on in the game? And they say, you know what? He's not mobile. Less than a house Adam and get up and see if he can hold the ball long enough or fade back on that ankle and be able to make something that throws that he can make. So this one is going to be a lot of fun to me there's no way he's 100% on a vision and being able to have a full week of practice this week, which I don't think he needs. If he can get out there a little bit on Friday, I think that would even be enough that if I'm a Kansas City chief band, I'm totally comfortable. He's Patrick Mahomes. He's proven year after year since he's been in there. What he can do. Yeah. And sticking with chiefs Bengals. If you were if you were on the Bengals right now, would you tell Eli Apple to cut back on the trash talking or you got to let him be who he is? I love Eli Apple. You associated Peter and Shrek, he said that this morning. I mean, you have pat Beverly and the NBA who's kind of that agonist that gets under the skin of people. That's going to do all the trash talking. And they don't have to be the best player on the court on the field and be liable is not claiming to be the best corner in the NFL. But the one thing we can say about Eli Apple is he's been able to somewhat back up his trash talk that he's given. He was in the Super Bowl last year. They wanted against mahomes and Tyree ill. Torched by Cooper Cup, but by the way. But the guys he was talking about trash to get enough do you watch them this past week? And against buffalo, Eli had a good game in that game as a secondary and as a unit, they played really well against Josh Allen Buffalo Bills. And I think Eli he had something to it. Those guys on the team, you can talk to them. I know they're DB culture. I was wondering in Miami. It was just like, yeah, Eli is a crazy dude. We love having them. And I think that's the perception. It's even last year as he was talking trash, whether it was Jesse phase, whether it was von bell, is just like, no, Eli talks that he knows we have his back. So those guys may not be saying it, but they kind of expect that from Eli puffing a cigar and a locker room after winning the division around knowing that there hadn't been he was calling the burrows head stadium after the game. The problem he has is that, I mean, from what I've seen on Twitter the last two days, you don't see players going after other current players going after current players that much. And car and players are going after him. And what they're going after him about is like, you know, you're doing all the trash talking, you're not that good. Travis, Kelsey, or mahomes he's trash talking. It's one thing. Eli Apple, people are like, you mentioned the pat Beverly. I mean, that was such a great tweet by sus Garner. But that's what makes it that's what makes it so much fun that it's coming. That's true. That's true. And it's like everybody. Eli. So it was like, now he's built up his reputation. Well, you're not even playing in the game. He's somebody see them talking about Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen. And now you have randomly adjusted Herbert who gets pissed off and Keenan Allen and they want to jump in. I think that's what makes it so much fun. And I was just strictly now as a fan of the game. You look forward to this Sunday watching the interaction between an Eli Apple and a guy on this side maybe whether it's Julie, whether it's NBS, while they get to Kelsey's space. "Cooper Cup. I mean, you can't say it. I mean, if you're asking me somebody other than Cooper Cup, probably van Jefferson. He's not getting a lot of attention. And, you know, what concerns me is how do the Bengals are how do the rams isolate Eli Apple? Because Eli Apple can get beat over the top. And he has. And that's where I think that's where I think Sean mcvay is going to try to attack this Bengals defense. You're going to see a lot of passes directed towards Eli Apple early in this game. And I'm curious like that. In Boston, we all love Brad marchand. He's a pest, right? But we all love him 'cause he's Brad Marshall. The Bengals fans feel the same way about Eli Apple or they kind of like your Eli Apple maybe go sit in the corner for a little bit. Hot and cold. Look, Eli made, he made a great play in the Tennessee game that helped him win the game. There's no doubt about that. He dropped the pick 6 and over time on mahomes on second down. Everybody remembers the interception that Jesse base tips the ball to von bell and sets up the game winning field goal. The right before that, it was Eli Apple with a chance to intercept Patrick Mahomes easily run it into the end zone games over at that moment. Bengal fans get a little nervous when you talk Eli Apple. It's hot and cold. I'm trying to think of a good patriot comparison to a player in the secondary over the years. I don't know if sante Samuel is a good analogy or not. Because he was never that good, yeah. Yeah. Right. But he is that kind of hot and cold player. Still the woozie has had his struggles. "What he was as a quarterbacks coach. That's a different animal than running the entire program. And Zach Taylor, obviously, I think, has done an incredible job getting helping to get the Bengals to this point so far. So let's go from there. Because last year, I know, I personally wasn't high on Zack Taylor. I know you weren't high on Zach Taylor. I know there's new personnel, but what's the biggest difference between Zack Taylor last year and Zack Taylor this year? Healthy Joe burrow, Jamar chase, he can do the things you guys are very, very familiar with the offense that Zach Taylor wants to run and he has run it to perfection with Brian Callahan with Dan picture who I had a good conversation with earlier in the week via Zoom, he has the kind of people here in place in a third year that's made the difference. And obviously Joe burrow being healthy and not tearing his ACL like he did in 2020. That's a big part of it. But guys, I will tell you the biggest change in this team. 21 2021 from 2020 is the defense. They went out. They spent the much like the Patriots did, spent the money on the defense, difference being, I think the Bengals had enough personnel that they weren't relying entirely on one or two players. I think with the Patriots, maybe, you know, the theory is Matt judon, wore out towards the end of the year, was not as effective as he was in the first half of the year for the Patriots. And with the Bengals, you have younger players, von bells only 25. People forget that, but he's only 25, Jesse Bates is only 24. And then you have Chad obey a woozie and Eli Apple has been reborn here in Cincinnati. Under louanna remote, the defensive coordinator, Troy hendrickson followed up his great year in New Orleans with a career year..

They're going to finish the job and I will be there in person to watch the LA rams win in LA. Yes, I believe the rams are going to win. Does the minus four scare you? It does not. Would you rather have some leg room with some with some parlay stuff? Lead me down. Let's go. Okay. I'm just going to shout out some beds. So we got rams minus four. Thank God that didn't go to minus four and a half for tape in this. It's 1 o'clock now Pacific time. Rams win, the game is under 57 and a half. Minus one ten. Does this game go to 58 points? That seems so high. Seems a lot. Two teams that can't really run the ball. Two quarterbacks you can chuck it, man. Rams minus three first half. Minus one ten. I like that. Figure if the rams win, they're gonna come out. They've come out, come out hot. Like they've come too good first half and then the niners first half not as good. Ram's window Dell scores the TD plus two ten. Rams win. Ram's defensive or special teams touchdown plus 7 O four rams win cup gets 80 plus yards minus one O four. I love that one. Cup's gonna go nuts in this game. I don't see them stopping Cooper Cup in this game. Rams win Odell gets 50 plus yards plus one 16. You can see that too. Cut plus 5 50 for MVP OBJ 25 to one. Any non QB is plus two 30. Oh, I like the Aaron Donald idea. So you go any non QB plus two 30, you get everybody. Yet everybody but Stafford a burrow. Let's do that. We have this on fan already. You can bet this. I've been FanDuel. Same game parley plus 6 72. Rams win Odell TD Odell 70 plus yards cup 80 plus yards. Plus 6 72, almost 7 to one odds. Here's my thinking. I don't think the rams are really going to run the ball that well because we just haven't seen it. I don't think they're going to even try to be honest. Yeah. And it just seems like if they're going to win the game, it's going to be because they threw the ball to cup and Odell. So if that's the case, why wouldn't I put all those bets together in profit from them? I mean, this would take the von bell, Jesse Bates, Eli Apple, Mike hillton, like the same thing I did to mahomes in the second half for an entire four quarters to stop with the rams looking to do. Now they might do that. They might drop the 8 back and they've done it, dare the rams to run. I'll tell you this. Sean mcvay's ready for it. He said two weeks. Look at that film. Rams win Odell scores to TDO gets a hundred plus yards receiving plus 9 41. I like that. I think Odell's gonna go for a hundred and a touchdown. I haven't marked down. Evan McPherson over one and a half field goals minus one 52. He's good. I don't like betting the minus bets, but I thought that was one that jumped out. Stafford three plus touchdowns Odell 75 plus yards is 6 to one. Longest field goal over 47 FDR at Sal and I talked about this earlier. You figure the Bengals to have one, right? Where they're on like the 38 here comes and he just bangs it out. Yeah. So I like that one. Good, good, good setting for a game. There's no weather, I think, yeah. McPherson is good for one of those bombs. So my favorite of all of these is ram's win cup goes for 80 plus yards. Mine too, because they're not going to win if he doesn't go for 80 plus years. Does that sound? I talked about this too. The Bengals we've seen them win without chase going completely off. Yeah, they've figured out other guys step up, whatever. The ramps are not going to win unless at least has a good game. So my favorite bed of all of these bets is rims when cup 80 plus yards minus one O four. It's basically even odds. I don't have to worry about my rams minus four. And I'm betting on a guy who has a chance to have the greatest wide receiver season that we've seen since Jerry Rice from start to finish. If you include regular season playoffs, it's like 1989 Jerry Rice and cup this year. Assuming it plays out the way we think. Yeah, cup has not failed us all season long. He hasn't failed the rams. I think this is not going to be the week where Cooper Cup goes three catches for 80 for 61 yards. This is he'll do he'll get his. All right, so here's what we're doing. Who are the $1 million picks? Turn the camera on Kyle. Let's go, Kyle. Let's go for one last time..

"Two Prius, this is gonna be their 13th game in that building in their own locker room. I think it's the most home games a team is ever going to play in an NFL season with 13 straight games. I'm a 13 games on there. And then here's the deal. You've been to so far, right? Have you been? No, it's Sunday's gonna be my first time. Okay, it is jarring. Like you walk in and that Oculus blow you away, the sound as you and Sal mentioned, the chainsmokers were doing it. It's pounding. It is a sight to behold. Now, on any game, I think that's something to kind of get your adjustment to. Then you add in the Super Bowl piece to it. Then you add in the fact that one Bengal has ever played in a Super Bowl record. And then the rams and the rams were in three years ago and they know the rhythm of it now. They know how long that half time break is and all that stuff that is way longer game they're used to. They are so used to the beats. You've got a coaching staff. That's cooked in it, Rahim is coached in it. Sean mcvay's coached in it. Zach Taylor was a quarterback's coach in it. I think there's a significant difference when you combine the home field, the ticket asks all the situations with all right, but where do we have to go? Oh, we're getting on the buses at this time, traffic. That's the matters. And I think you put that combined with the experience level. I think that at the very least, it's not just a three point difference on the spread. I think it is a significant difference. And I think the rams are going to play to their advantage with that. So you think the Bengals have the families and Norco and San Bernardino? I would say the chatsworth area might be where the hotels are this week. I love that angle. The cheek bagels and finally comes back to haunt them. Yeah, so with the Bengals. I was trying to think if they win, and we'll wrap this up and then we'll go to the ramps in the next segment. But if the Bengals win, here would be the post wind narrative. Oh, I love this. I think they would go down as one of the most improbable Super Bowl champs ever, right? If we're talking oh one paths. 97 giants. But 99 rams, but they were good that whole season. Improbable in August, but not improbable, hitting the playoffs. 2017 eagles losing wince. Yeah. 1990 giants losing Sims. Yep. They would move into whatever group however many teams you want to put in that group. They would immediately move in there. And I think the O one paths would be if they lose, I think they would kind of be more like O three Panthers ish? Sure. Oh yeah, really fun story. Great cardinals? Yeah, another one. More post when narratives for them. Borough would now become the guy. He's the man. He's the face of the NFL. Yeah. It's crazy, right? It's not. Mahomes was like, what happened? Herbert's like, I'm right here. I'm ready, guys. Trouble. Lamar is wondering what happened. We'd have a lot of borough and chase. Is this the next spontaneity rice? This is one of the best duo's ever already. What's the ceiling for that would be two days for good morning football? We'd have a little the Bengals now out of the teams that haven't won the Super Bowl club. There's 12 right now. Oh, good call. So we'd be down to 11. Now, the Super Bowl, it's only been around since 1967. So we have only had 56, but don't count the lines, the browns, and they've won champions. But yeah, yeah. But like the Vikings. Yeah. You know, the browns have one NFL titles, but they would move off whatever the status. And then I think it'd be hilarious if cincy won a Super Bowl before the browns. It would be something. That's just bizarre all the way around. The Brown family, but the brown soda. Any other postwar narratives that you could see? I guess Zack Taylor, the mcvay coaching tree versus the Belichick coaching trip to get some of that. Yeah, and I think there's also something to how they built their team where you draft players in the draft and then you don't have to sign crazy veterans. Instead, you sign economically and fiscally responsible veterans like guys like Mike Hilton or guys like hendrickson hendrickson and reader and these guys, yeah, they got paid, but Bengals did a pretty interesting thing on defense and they didn't go and hit and swing for home runs where they were signing guys for crazy. They weren't hiring Byron Jones for X amount of dollars or Xavier and Howard for everyone. No, they were like, let's stay back in our pocket and make the right signings and Trey hendrickson was a couple days into free agency. He got money eventually by the Bengals. But when you look up and down that defense and it's Eli Apple, it's von bell. It's pretty cool that these aren't the high price guys necessarily when you look at the highest paid players in the sport. And yet they did really clean up on defense and free agency. Now that's really in the weeds. I don't think there's any other story than the Joe burrow story. Well, the other piece would be if they do win if they shut down the rams..

"Does that mean? I don't know, I didn't like it. Let's talk she spangles quickly because I think we're I think we're very toward the same spot on this. Chiefs of one ten of their last 11. Their last 7 games, they've scored 48, 34, 36, 34, 28, 42, 42. You don't even need to say the chiefs are back. Mahomes is at home in the playoff 7 to one. Against the spread 6 and two. You have the Bengals who barely be Vegas. I was never understand what David Carr spiked the ball. Or Derek Carr. Still Derek Carr, David Carr. I think the ball collective car family. They barely beat the tights barely in the Titans were awful. It was as big as the tides were awful. Lang of an egg of an offensive sidewalk because their defense was awesome. Their offense was horrendous, horrendous, couldn't block. So then in my head initially, I'm thinking, oh man, I watched Bengal's chief. That was a slugfest. Week 17, Bengals 34 chiefs 31. Game is in Cincinnati. No McKinnon in that game. No McKinnon no clot Edwards layer, either. No Edwards hilar in that game. Chiefs were up 14, blew it. Blew the lead. Bengals ran for 19 for 60. Chase had the 16th biggest wide receiver game of all time. In the third biggest in the last 5 years, 266 yards and three touchdowns. How often does that happen? He had 11 catches, he had 12 targets. He broke like a bubble screen for like 80, he had another one where they just chucked it and he just made this incredible play. So we have all of these things pointing to, yeah, the chiefs, the chiefs lost by three, but since they had their third and fourth street running backs, they blew a lead and chase had one of the great games of all time. And the Bengals still barely won by three. It's funny because that's the angle I have and I know Bengals fans would say, don't you dare dismiss the chiefs are playing for first. They're a great win. I'm with them with them. There was a play at the end of the first half that tyrek was wide open. They threw him the pass. It was in his hands, von bell, knocks it away, but if they catch that, it's a different deal. There's a play to Travis Kelce. I watched the game this week. There's a plate of this Kelsey. Big third down, he inexplicably drops it. There's a strange third in 27 play call from the chiefs. And then the craziest thing was it was fourth and 6, and they're going back and forth and they're on the Cincinnati 45 and Andy of all people decides to punt it away and then the Bengals came right back and scored. You have to think that, okay, 266 yards and three touchdowns from Jamar chase is what it took to beat us. Let's hold them to 200 this week. Or let's hold them to one 50 and we win this game, especially in arrowhead. I think Joe burrows quote was taken a little bit out of context, but he basically said it's loud and a lot of SEC stadiums. Whether it was whether it was out of context or not because he was showing respect to him. I know those chiefs fans. I know those chiefs message boards, and I know they hear that, and they're like, oh, that's a challenge. Let's do this thing. I could see this one being one of those deals where Cincinnati, awesome miracle season, Joe burrows doing things no quarterback has ever done as far as going right from college to right to an AFC championship game to possibly right to a Super Bowl. But I think this might be too big a hill to climb. And also this is already been an awesome season for them. It's a little reminiscent to the bills getting there. A couple years ago. The browns last year and said, wow, that was great. Congrats, brands. You really, you've really built something for the I just can't see, I can't say them beating the chiefs twice in four weeks. Now, you could say the same about niners rams, but I just think the chiefs, I think last week was the AFC title game. I hate putting it that way because it's not fair to the Bengals, but it might have been the Super Bowl Bill. Those two team. And that's the thing. It's like the chiefs, what's the account? It's like a cockroach, I guess, but like, you knew at 13 seconds, you knew that wasn't over. 13. I lived through with the paths that one year. So you know the 20. What happened? I thought we won the game. We took the lead with 39 seconds left. You know, the reaction the next day was like, what a crazy thing. I'm like, that's the chiefs. And I know everyone wanted to change the overtime rules, but you need to protect against that because it's all he needs. And yes, Leslie Frazier called the wrong defense. And sure they could have done a squib kick. But that's the danger of betting against the chiefs at any point in these playoff games. Mahomes has lost one game at home. It was to Brady. He's lost one other game. It was a Super Bowl in Tampa in Brady's building. He's never lost to a quarterback other than Brady in the playoffs. And we've been betting on him for the last two years. Bill, he's never let us astray. I don't want to jinx him, but moms is never done us wrong. We've been betting on him, and he wins just about every time. Even last week, I was leaning toward the bills. And you came in hot with the chiefs when we talked before the pod. And I was like, yeah, what am I doing? And at that whole game, I was never I never regretted betting on the chiefs. Even when the bills took the lead and it was like, all right, I lost but Josh Allen was just superhuman. I don't regret the bet. Josh Allen was amazing. All right, when we come back, we're going to talk about all the actual bets wagers, angles, and then makes a $1 million picks..

"You know that feeling when you see something crazy on the Internet and then you try to describe it to someone and you sound crazy, you can never do it justice, but it's so great. You have to give it a shot. Perfect example. Have you seen the TikTok with the screaming college student? Basically she wakes her roommate by screaming the Gettysburg address. Why? Nobody knows, and it doesn't matter because it's perfect that's just a sample of the kind of stuff you'll find on TikTok, you just have to see it. Okay, so the big thing we try to figure out for week 7 of the $1 million picks is how do we make money in the Bengals who are minus ten and a half at the jets? They're -500 and normally I would look at this and go, got to figure out a three team T's. Some sort of parlay bet, whatever. The Bengals coming off an awesome win. The jets are starting Mike white who did a great job writing white lotuses. But unfortunately, white lotus see did a great job. No writers room for white lotus, just crank that up. Oh yeah. Talented guy. Not sure he's the quarterback I wanted against the Cincinnati team. It's a perfect storm of I think the jets now realize our destiny is we're now one of the three worst teams in the league. The Zach Wilson, he's gonna be out for four weeks. They can not run the ball at all. Defensively they've had some losses. I don't know if Moseley is mostly coming back this week. I think he wasn't there last week and then sort of said it about 14 times in the first quarter. The Patriots keep running up the gut. Well, we know there is no Moseley. Right. So maybe they throw this game away. So we are targeting the Bengals this week, but give me an empty or Bengals notebook. What do you got for us? So I speak with Zach a lot and I think he's the most anonymous head coach, maybe in the NFL, if he was to walk into an airport, I don't think anyone's stopping him for a photo and yet his whole thing is like we're not surprised at this. This isn't a shock to anyone here because of what they built. It's a very young offense. So it's borough. It's chase. It's tee Higgins. It's mixing. There's a young guys. And pariah, they have a good backup running back. Like they do. They always have somebody in there who can do stuff. And they're a really explosive young offense. That's gonna put voice. But the defense, there's no first or second year players on that defense. And it's a lot of like discarded players from other places. So Adobe ausia was with the cowboys. And now it's like, all right, my second chance here. It's Mike Hilton. It's von bell. And then you go down to Trey hendrickson and it's like this great mix of veteran guys who have been through games and have won games on good teams trying to build something and then young players who are excellent in college and have played in big games at that level all with a very mild mannered coach and an offensive coordinator and Brian Callahan who's bill's son who, I think is going to get head coaching interviews this year because he's unleashing things in these players that right out of the gates. They're able to do. Jamar chase, that's not by accident. That's obviously him as a talent, but it's also the coaching to get him going get him going. Like he has been in year one. I would describe their defense as fast and hungry. That's a good, that's a good way to do it. If you look at, look at their 7, they're 7 games. 24, they gave up 24 to Minnesota ot. As we always say, like week one that you're not really sure yet 20 to Chicago ten to Pittsburgh, 21 in Jacksonville. I think one of those TDs was late. 25° OT, 11 in Detroit, but then 17 against Baltimore. It seems like a defense that arrows pointing up. Wouldn't you say? I think the defense is really good and really smart and disciplined. And last week's game, it was big on the national stage, I think, that they did that to the ravens. And they got their respect. It was also really big in that locker room because they've been talking and preaching that. It's like, holy shit, we just punched them in the mouth who have beaten us 5 straight times and run all over us, but it's like, no, no, we just were bullies to them in their building. And it's not one of these where I think they're going to take the foot off the pedal. It's like, okay, we're not going anywhere. We're ready to go. The last piece of it is burrow, who has been fantastic and has been so confident since he got in the league. And so, so I guess the alpha in that room? Like, I remember the draft. It was over Zoom. So it was tough for these teams to interview the players. And there was no question he wasn't going number one, but another team got to do a zoom with him and I spoke to a coach afterwards who met with with borough met with two met with Herbert, and he's like, you know, two has got a great story. And he's going to be fine and Herbert has these physical gifts. But like borough is that pied piper where borough says I want to go down a dark alley and you know it's not the right thing to do. You're like, I have Joe burrows doing it. Let's go. Like, I want to be a part of that. And oh, it's like Trent Dilfer's car case test. If you had the 5 QBs, it was the draft of 2010. If you have the 5 rookie QBs, you'd throw the car keys to bark Sanchez. Is that what he said? Yeah. And it was like, that's both funny that Mark Sanchez was the answer, but Bernie Sanchez was two AFC title games, but anyway. So they would throw the keys to burrow. But that's the thing and it's like, all right, so then they tears up his knee and all off season..

Live good to see everybody christner and many many others get to see a lot of familiar names. A lot of new names Hello everybody thanks for joining. Thanks for listening and Be department let's roll on hough. Let's roll on just money. Says you need to get mike daniels back on. Yeah we'll try. His representation has been awesome to us by the way. So we will We will try and do what we can on that front continuing on the bengals. Vikings week one News year bengals announced their team captains. This was yesterday as well. Yes it was and they announced the seven players. Job bro tyler boy. Joe mixing a new one. Jessie bates von bell. Sam hubbard kevin huber. Now the to that kind of stand out to me in that. I will make the most comments on would be joe mixing and jessie bates mixing stands out to me. Because think back a handful. And i wanna go back in rehash you know ugly instances in the past from anybody but you know when you think back to joe mixing in the as a prospect coming out of the draft. There was kind of this other story that followed him. And i think we all know the deal. We don't need to go into the details there. you know there were just some off. Field concerns with joe mixing. He has been nothing but essentially a model citizen since entering the nfl and being with the cincinnati bengals has asserted himself as a team leader. So when i saw his name at the captain level unfortunately you know. I did think of an ugly situation years back but it also made me really proud as someone who covers the bangles a fan of the team a really proud of a guy like joe mixing who has really kind of turn things around from that ugly incident and really matured and is now a team captain of the team so kudos to him on being one of the seven captains of the team and then you look at jessie bates. That's an interesting situation because the bengals in he apparently are in a contract stalemates as contracts. Donate at this point in time they have a few days are not They haven't agree to a long term deal. Jessie bates now team captain. He's also been a big part of their marketing endeavors. That they've been really pushing out with new jersey's in everything and so he is a A captain there and you see the ones last year borough. Bell huber were captains along with Sean williams aj green. Geo bernard josh buying so Interesting stuff there but That's those are the seven captains right there. Borough boyd mixing bates bell hubbard and huber. So congratulations to those seven and got is at our In a lot of a lot of different ways. They are deserving of that designation. Unusually quarterback is the the team captain there so speaking of the team captains speaking of joe. Borough there is a a feature. That is going to be aired. I believe it's going to be on sportscenter on sunday so it it's an interview with him Talking with espn. But basically there's more talk of. Hey we have high goals as a team in terms of level of success that we want to attain and then of course the knee injury where he's at mentally where he's at physically with all of that and there were a couple of quotes that he sent out with Was with dan graziano in it was. Espn so this is probably going to be on. The full interview will be on Yes fiene and and i think their you know their website and all all kinds of different outlets but quote. None was the answer when graziano asked him if he had any concerns about his surgically repaired. left knee so quote. It shouldn't affect me at all. Meaning the knee brace. I don't really like wearing it because it's big and bulky but i don't think it'll affect my play. I think he also went on to say that. He doesn't think it's something. He will need for the entirety of his career. At least he doesn't hope so because of those reasons. So that's that's joe bureau on there and then of course you see here. The the goals for the season quote make the playoffs win the division. We really need to get better closing out games. Which is definitely something that has plagued the bengals for a while there quote we had leeds in the fourth quarter of something like seven or eight games last year and we ended up losing all of them. We just need to be better down the stretch. So they host the minnesota vikings and look while this seems like a winnable game for the bengals and they very well could win the game especially at being at home. The vikings are are pretty high quality team. That's probably going to be my. My assumption is that it's probably going to be something that is going to resemble a one score game or something that is relatively close so the bengals very well right away could have a contest in which they will need to be able to get over those hurdles of these one possession games week one last year. I mean. I don't wanna remind everybody would happen there last year but that was a one possession game You know the in subsequent weeks after that. The browns a week to the bengals played played. Catch up there but You know that was a one possession game yet. The tie with the eagles. I mean there are a lot of these situations where the bengals were in. These games had late leads all that kind of stuff and they couldn't close it out so that is a big focus which inevitably will lead to the first two points. Joe borough brought up in terms of being competitive winning the division making the playoffs all of that so that is a lie. Some interesting quotes there from joe borough. Now you've got some more quotes from his buddy on offense demar chase. I guess i should've talked about this after the depth chart. But that's okay we're going to get it anyway. Jomar chase speaks on his pre season drops. I i feel for this kid. Because there's nothing quite like trying to get over a mental hurdle and doing the work that you need to do in order to get.

Three two three mike daniels has been moved back to the bengals. Practice squad. the bengals named captains today. Joe borough joe. Mix and tyler. Boyd sam hubbard. Jessie bates von bell. Kevin huber is your special teams captain. Fc cincinnati did you know alex. There's an mls soccer team in town. I do because. I generally run most of their games out of this studio. That sounds awful. It is now that they've left nipper stadium. I wouldn't mind seeing them do well. Boy they'd better figure it out because they not only are they they. They bad per se but they're not entertaining. There's nothing especially when we get to football right when you get to this climate and you've got options. Why why are you watching. Fc cincinnati right. Now if you have other options because you're a fan. I get it but like they're not playing a fun brand of soccer. they're not playing an exciting style. "And we've talked about the coaching staff on this show. But their offense. I think can keep in games. I would take that young skill group not counting quarterbacks. I guess i'm going like just running back receiver group of young players over any in the nfl. I can't i. I mean dallas would be in the mix i mean there'd be other teams in the mix but i think i would take. Partly because i just love t higgins so much and i'm kind of assuming jomar chases is gonna be awesome but i did notice kind of doing this exercise. The bengals have completely changed their approach of player acquisition. I don't know if it's gonna work. But they were the number one team in terms of draft and development in the nfl year after year they dominated this stat which was just like how many snaps that you have from players. He drafted they would be like far and away ahead of the entire. Nfl now. is that working particularly. It was working. Okay they were. They were making the playoffs. Losing usually under marvin lewis. Now you look at their different. It's all free agents from other places that were mostly letdowns in at least at some points like dj reader ogunjobi hendrickson von bell from dallas. You got trae. Wayne's mike came in just a lotta guys from other places in your county on lou albano to just make it work that i'm usually doesn't work that they are. Everyone says like the middle class of free agency is kinda dead star except for the bengals. They're all about the middle. I'd have to think green bay would be up to too. But i can already see a trend. I can already tell what's gonna happen on this show. If cleveland starts out like one in three or four two and four. It's like here. we are cleveland. I'd one nice season and everyone's over it now. It's like they've been an. It's an offseason whether it being a little overrated now. At this point it's june people are tired of that and it's going to be exhaustion. Sit in you know. The saints can be good for like eighteen years in a row. The packers can be good for twenty-five. But cleveland had their one season. Now let's have the bengals come nipped them in the butt and stuff you know take them from fourth to third third or fourth place and the steelers suddenly are seeming. Like there's so much better than cleveland and we just trust the ravens and the whole you know what that's why have knicks shook. Who is about six foot. Three and built of bricks to start throwing punches. If you guys get to loose on this front you better keep it. Keep your traps closed. I'm a little annoying mark we've been we've been prepared for this. We've been steeled by the year. That was two thousand nineteen. I'll tell you. What the vitriol that i endured online while working for the browns as they went down in a massive ball of flames. It was unlike anything i've ever experienced working here. And and ranking players and upsetting fans. Because they're guys ninth when he should be second in their opinion So people love for the hype machine to go down and crash and burn but even if they did start one in three. It's a long season remember. They got blown out in week one last year. I'm sure you guys will be totally calm on sunday night. Podcast if they're just be. Oh yeah yeah. It's a long season very measured all your points about the sketchy on you for the browns and mark. Those are thursday. Show stuff by then. You'll have calmed down a little bit. I think i'll be too afraid on sunday nights like we know it's all about the is. You gotta see where the before you make any comments at all but there is. There's been a browns fan right now. Yes you have to deal with the expectations but on the plus side like likable draft. Time as an example. It's like everyone is just genuflecting at the altar of the cleveland browns. At everything they do is genius. So if you're going to get that type of positive buzz around the organization. You gotta deal with the expectation heat. That comes with it. It's part of the price. I had this very weird dream. I will not take more than minimum this last night. It's one of those ones where you wake up. And it's like five in the morning. You have no idea who you are. But i was at an airport with you. Dan and we were in this lake insane. Chase to try to find luggage. And i was trying to get kevin's defence. Ke's luggage for him. And i was meant to then take it to the browns complex. But i couldn't find it. And i kept getting lost and it was snowing out and then you were like hey man. I'm good like we were going to a hotel and you're like i found my baggage so are you. Can you figure this out. I guess so. And i'm walking around with this like sort of rather strange colorful bag that belongs to kevin stefanski and then the dream ended. I didn't fulfil the jets on any level. What does that dream. So that you're kevin stefanski is like jockey his bag. I was like the guy that would be like. Hey can you do us a favor. Can you just you know. He's gotta go. Go bring his luggage to the complex. And don't don't forget. Anything and i was like baggage everywhere. People were wearing masks explained. Knicks final day with the cleveland browns. Some sensitive materials coming in from nicaragua. Can you call up to pick it up. that is. that's the dream book would say that. That's mark dealing with distress in weight of carrying the browns bag on the national perspective in dealing with the fire. From you guys and the pressure and it's getting to him and it's getting into his subconscious and the season can't get here all these lower i could. That's well well into that anymore. I have one last one before we If anybody else jumps in go ahead jump in. But you know greg. I don't know listen. We do a lot of stuff together on On television and on this podcast. And so i've heard this a lot and have read this now in your piece of record on the two thousand and twenty one season upcoming project starters. I need receipts on this russell. Wilson league mvp promotion this this theory or this. You advocating for months on sunday night. Football game where it was like. It was a pre game interview and knows all about all the media outlets sane how he's never received an mvp vote. That was all part of it. Yeah but your theory here and correct me. If i'm wrong. That russell wilson spearheaded this media narrative that right. That's what you're saying. You're calling it a promotion that he was running behind the scenes. I mean no. I yeah pretty much that he was. He was contributing to he talked publicly about like what an mvp would mean to him and that he wants to be the greatest in the game and that is what he wants he was asked about it. I'm sure unless you point out her. You bring up enough. That i need proof at this point that he was actually doing this. I don't want to vote more. Importantly i want to win the award. Wilson said september twenty fifth. I mean what are you. What are you asking me here. He is doing it. He's got the pr my stained by. I do like you also ended your seahawks right up with this. Little blurb also popular seahawks fans any shout out to their status as a special breed of humanity more knowledgeable and inexplicable than any other collection of people on earth. What do you do over there rosendo. Yeah what's that about just messing around you. also here. yeah well that. And they didn't think it's all connected. Yeah they didn't like that and they just like the seahawks fans they do have a great twitter presence. They're smart they're weird But they don't like to hear that any other fan base could also have like a smart weird fantasy. Stay with they wanna feel special and once you say like okay. I'm not really feeling them as a super bowl team this year. Then then they come at market down june third. Two thousand twenty one. Greg rosenthal officially became fatigued with seahawks and seahawks twitter. Keep the twelve's weird. The t shirts that read Anybody else before we close out the segment. Which by the way has a title and that title is projected starters..

"Going back in time things that happened on this date in sports history a light docket. In fact, I'm going to start with the birthday. This date. 1963 Happy birthday, Todd Benzinger from Dayton, Kentucky, A happy 58 to the guy who got the final hour of the 1990 World Series played nine major league seasons. He was drafted by the Red Sox out of New Richmond High School in 1981. This day, 1973 the Philadelphia 70 Sixers lose their 20. Their 20th straight game. 1982. The Cardinals complete one of the best trades ever acquiring future Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith from the San Diego Padres for shortstop Garry Templeton. This date 1990. Greatest upset in sports history question. Mark James Buster Douglas knocks out Mike Tyson to win the world heavyweight boxing championship. And this day 2016 the NFL upholds the three game suspension of Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict for his unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting a defenseless Antonio Brown. And their playoff matchup at Paul Brown Stadium. All of that happening on this date in sports history. This date, Mike Tyson was a 40 See, Buster Douglas was a 42 to 1 underdog. Fighting in Tokyo, the Tokyo Dome greatest upset in sports history. No, I think I put it in my top four or five. I've told this story before, but quickly. It's one of those. You never forget where you were moments. I was. I was in a suit and tie ready to walk up onto the set to do the 11 20 sports in South Bend on WSB T on this date 31 years ago, they had just wrapped up the weather. Also vestry through it to commercial they set up next Lance has your sports and as I'm walking up onto the set, I sit down and I put in my eye F b the ear piece in my producer. My good friend Dean Turkle says, Listen to me, listen closely. He was I okay, buddy? I got a story for you. I'm like, Oh, here we go. He says Mike Tyson just got beat. I'm like, what are you talking about? He says Buster Douglas just beat Mike Tyson. He knocked him out in the 10th round. You've got a new lead. So I came out of the break and that was our lead story that night, breaking at the moment 10th round Buster Douglas knocks him down in the iconic scene of Taison, fumbling, grasping mouthpiece out trying to put one hand on the rope to pull himself up, couldn't get up in his ruled out and loses the invincible 37 a no Mike Tyson with 37 knockouts until this state 31 years. Go. I would put I put the Olympics Miracle on ice number one. As the greatest upset in sports. I would put 16 seed Maryland Baltimore County's upset of number one seed Virginia and the NC double a tournament A couple of years ago. 16 seeds had been Oh, For and 1 35 in tournament history. But that too I would put Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson three and I would put no. You know what I'd put Leicester City. Off the Premier Li get number three. They defy 5001 odds to win the Premier League five years ago, And then I put Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson. Those would be my top four. I might put AP State beating Michigan in week one of the college football season about who, how many years ago that would have been around 2007 or so And I would, of course, put the Reds 1990 world Syria's sweep of the Oakland A's talk to put the red door and I got some on Twitter. Who said Villanova upsetting Georgetown. Villanova was, Yeah, they were an eight seed, but they still I mean, they made their way through the tournament that year in 84 to get to the title game. They didn't come out of nowhere just to jump into the championship game. I'll give you a while giving an old school one. This would have been somewhat mid eighties or so. Virginia was number one in the country with Ralph Sampson and they were playing in Hawaii. I think it Christmas or it may be Christmas Eve New Year's Eve, and they played in Hawaii against division to Shaman. Odd and Shaman Odd beat the number one team in the country, and Ralph Sampson, the Virginia Cavaliers. I put that they might make my top 10. There we go. All right back to the phones. We gotta round out this list. We're doing a ring of honor. It looks like according to leaked or accidentally exposed a tweet yesterday that the Bengals a released contemplating a ring of honor, And I said, Well, heck, and let's work on what the initial class of four would look like. Four because forced tough three z z four. You can only do for that stuff because there's some pretty good ones at number 56 and seven on a potential list. How about here in the Sea and Indiana? Andy? What do you got for me? A lamp. A little plate of my signal holds up. Yeah. A communion First girl, Anderson, Ken Riley. From right from them Crumb around the honorable honorable mention. Now, whoever meant yes. Horrible mentioned has to be von Bell for a sit on juju Smith Schuster a couple months ago. Feelers have that that that clearly elevates him in the eyes of a lot of fans in terms of his place in this history that a hit, we will never forget. Yes. What's that? A dozen times? I love it. Hey, thanks for calling. Have a have a great night. I'm looking we we have are clear three. And as as I thought, the splits coming at four. We've got Moon Joo's. We've got Anderson. We've got Paul Brown and then we've got a decent split and a break up. For our fourth spot. Let's go here, Kenny. Welcome to sports talk. And how you doing last? Good. How are you? I'm good. I'll take the first for you. Do you see it? About Isaac Curtis. Oh, yes. I can't believe nobody's mentioned. You're the actress one dimension. Isaac Curtis and they're back at Bob Trumpy Trump. All right, And then there Oh, Hand. Ross Dan Ross getting some love. Okay, that's it. Excellent. You're the man. Thank you. All right, You have a great night and and just off of that call, Let's go. Old school caller mentioned Phil Samp. Last caller mentioned Dan Ross. How about a combo and radio form will go back to throw looks fires into the end zone. Touchdown. The damn Ross Dam Ross, right down the middle again when over the way from William's son. The teammates of his mob in down.

"I mean, as far as in the big picture of your looking every position is up, you know? And so, yeah, that was the one you hoped you could count on. You had some You know, And it's the center is the brain Trussell that senator stuff that people love to say. And so, yeah, that's not great. And I think that that's gonna be another position is not to add to the list. I think you know you have Billy Price here, um, on, you know, first round pick starting center who was going to be on his rookie contract? So you do have that or other options that you can consider whether it be somebody in free agency or whatever, but they had Lisa. At least they haven't entire offseason to plan for. It usually didn't happen in like camp or something like that. You could deal with it a little bit easier at this point, even though you'd rather not deal with it all. For those who don't follow the finer points of the salary cap, at least during the season that the cap number per team is going to come down because of the pandemic. I think we all understand that the bangle spend a ton of money last year. You're a Jay's money's going to come off the books. They're obviously not paying. Carlos Dunlap. We've talked extensively about the decision they have to make with Gino Atkins. But and this this number can evolve and I don't need you to give it to me to the exact scent. But do they have a lot of money to spend in free agency When you You take what they want. It may want to pay the players on other teams and give to guys who are on the 2020 team. Yeah, I mean, I think they do. I think that if you know The thing is, it's comparatively they're going to be in the top 5 to 7 or so in cap room, and they'll be moved to happen. That could even make them. You know, they could put them up higher. We'll see how it all plays out. You know that's going to be an important element this year because with the cap being lower, and so many teams are on the wrong side of it that are, they're all gonna be cutting and not really even have hardly any room to make real moves. I think you'll still see the first wave of free agents should be like it is And I think the Bangles have enough money there to be involved in that. Similarly, as they were last year where you could target one or two big names, I would think Difference is going to be. I think the 2nd and 3rd wave that's gonna happen. Because he was just won't have the money overspend on the middle guy on those guys. I think those numbers they're going to come down and that really benefits that seem like Bangles. The bangle that have roots were now all the sudden like we saw last year with von Bell habit, knowing they didn't expect Bonne Bell to be sitting there in an attainable price at that point in time. There, he Woz because the market kind of fell to them that way. I think there's gonna be a lot of guys doing that this year. Just because of the financial situation. And so you could see, you know, 3 to 4. You know, Bonne Bell types. If you will, that you could pluck after you do that You do your moves at the top, and you get a little bit more bang for your buck because the situation that they're in, so it's compared it more so than anything. But, yes, they will definitely have to have the money to be active within reason. But when you have the last year they didn't really have much. Hubbard Bates extensions are gonna are on deck and you can know to be pretty significant. You have those kind of hovering over you, But you know the ability attack. The offensive line in free agency is wide open for them. And it seems to be the obvious. Number one Stop. You'll be. You'll be lobbying for Sam Hubbard to get every penny, right. I mean, look when you have Bruce Smith. Hey, you know what? He made good. He made very played. Well, maybe he got his hand caught a lot of guys with six trailers. Yes. That was attacked at that point, But you know what? I like Sam Hubbard. I think he's I think he's very good for what he is, is not Smith. But you know what? A comparatively on this team relative to the amount of blood sins of the world Hey, might be All right. One more. I got 30 seconds. I'm going to spend the offseason feverishly like scanning the Internet for, you know, videos of job, Earl walking Joe Burrows standing in line at the cracker barrel places like that morphing into a light. Dog than him, ultimately throwing the football. That's that's how I'm going to spend the next like five or six months when I do, um, I gonna have in the back of my mind that Well, if if Joe can't go, Brandon Allen, I'm not gonna talk myself into Brandon Allen being the guy week one. Or will they engage in the hunt for a backup quarterback? I think Brandon Allen, probably the leader in the clubhouse, but I think it also falls back to similarly where? Hey, you know, we'll see what the market bears out. I mean, for Dallas didn't expect to have Andy Dalton that three million last year or the Saints with Jameis Winston at one, You know, I mean, I think you you could end up with things that you didn't expect to end up with. And I think they'll be very open to that particular depending on where his progress is that I also they saw that kind of brand now and that you feel very they felt very comfortable with him as their number two. I combined the two segments in the one. You're welcome. I'll see you next Tuesday later about that's a Paul dinner. Junior covers the Bangles for the athletic his.
