"Fire TV and others. Discovery CEO David Laz Love telling CNBC eventually. The service will be on all platforms and it is a big day for us Discovery. Plus, we launch here in the U. S. We've already launched in Europe are not one goal was to be available on every platform in America. And we did a deal with Roco. We've done a deal with Amazon. We're one of one we're way are in the non fiction, real life entertainment space. And people spend about 45% of the time watching scripted series of scripted movies in the last 20 years, but they spend 50 or 55% of their time watching our stuff. That's why we waded over 1000 hours of originals. We picked up history and a any and lifetime content with Oprah and Chip and Joe and we've put it all together, and we believed Dead. Fake 5G-coronavirus conspiracy theory leads to real abuse and damage

"It's easy enough to laugh off fake conspiracy theories that seemingly five g. with the spread of the coronavirus. But there are some serious real world consequences I'm Roger Chang, and this is your daily charge. With me is Katie Collins or senior European correspondent. Thanks for joining me Katie thank you for having me. I'm very excited to be here a while we're excited to have you. So. You've got a great story that really puts a human face on the end result of these conspiracy theories. But before we get into it, let's recap things for our listeners. What exactly is being said about five G. Well, a variety things really. I mean it's all started off from the fact that that being conspiracy theories around network technology for as long as it's existed almost, and but at the beginning of this year, we saw a new spate conspiracy theories appearing online that basically said that five G. was causing or it was at linked to the spread of corona virus. So either some people have been saying that it's directly responsible for transmitting the virus, which is scientifically impossible. An other people have been suggesting that fifty. The radiation through five eleventh, your immune system makes you more likely to catch grin virus and basic these things. CATEGORICALLY NOT TRUE Yeah and I've actually I've watched a couple of videos they've been shared to me by a couple of acquaintances on facebook asking if if these are legit and. After watching them like I can see why can easily be fooled because they sound legitimate they've got. Cut a British sounding voice. Speaking with a bit of authority usually someone who says I used to work for Vodafone rates to work for ee at let me tell you these copies noted stage and like if you if you don't know enough about five G. Technology, you'll you'll miss out little inaccuracies that are thrown out there and so I can see why why the folks are buying into this but. To your point. Conspiracy theories around networking and seller technology been around for a long time. Two G. Three. G.. There's constantly a debate over whether or not the radiation from these. Technology is actually harmful and and that's still kind of. Up in the air right within really. Conclusively proved lower the other but. This is the first time that people are acting out on these conspiracy theories this thinking. So why is that why? Why are people taking action now? Yeah it's really interesting because as he say in this is kind of we started to I'm friends and family sharing these conspiracy set before us to be kind of. Just be popular among the kind of each group on the Internet. And I think that the reason that this is really become if not mainstream than. More broadly popular is the fact that. I spoke to professor at the University of Oxford he's been researching. The spread of conspiracy theories throughout the coronavirus outbreak and he said that you know it's really created the FIA at that people feeding generally. everything's unstable right. Now, the fact that people have come that trust in people in charges is really in doubt move at the hospital before is created this kind of perfect conditions full. Theories to really spread because you just that. That doubt really that we have in everything and is is making perhaps more open to to also of new ideas that we hadn't considered before for sure I mean we've seen this in politics obviously the the pizza gate conspiracy theory ended up resulting in someone actually taking action in shooting up a pizza parlor in DC so. Clearly, people are acting more more of these. You've spoken to some of the folks who have endured the harassment to these telecom workers. Tell me that. Yes. So We've seen across the we've seen a variety of and. In which people being acting out from people, attacking masts to people approaching telecom work in the streets, and they've just been going about their daily jobs. Most of the time trying to fix people's broadbands. Chance, to resolve. Problems with telephone lines, the kind of usual day today stuff, and they have people perching them and being mainly verbally abusive to them some some of them have been. Victims of more serious assaults as well, but the people I've spoken to largely. Fussy they went and they didn't have anything to do with five G. Anyway a misconception and you know they had members of the public approaching them and swearing it them Telling them that kids Wigan to get sick because they heads. Because they were working on five G.. Being quite threatening in a threatening to. Interfere with the equipment they were installing. Ole Maintaining In some cases to kind of get make a quick getaway, an other cases they were. Mania cable I think the one common theme that I that I discovered when I spoke to these people who is the fact that they all really in a in the past just felt totally safe doing their jobs that quite to talking to members of the public and very happy to do. So that's just kind of being out in about consternation meeting New People. That's just. That work and now they feel this real trepidation an they feel very wary about meeting people what might happen to them when they're just out during the jobs.

Mobile World Congress is canceled.

"So the world's largest mobile show is not happening this year. It was originally scheduled to run from the twenty four th to the twenty seventh of this month the GSA the organization that makes the event happened announced 'EM WC is cancelled the CEO of the said the global concern regarding the corona virus outbreak travel concern and other circumstances make it impossible for GSA May to hold the event now prior to being cancelled a number of companies announced they will not be the event L. G. Nokia HMD AT and T. facebook Cisco Intel nvidia Sony Sprint Vodafone and others were already not going to WC. So what happened. The Corona virus also known as Cova de one thousand nine hundred that name is by the World Health Organization Brazil. Did you make of this? This is fascinating because you never hear something like this really happening. He had two thousand or so companies planning to attend. And now there's all these questions of okay. The big companies they can have their own press events. They can have their own meetings but what happens to all the little guys what what happens when you know people who wanted to show off the powers of five. G. And make these deals you know how will that shape for the rest of twenty twenty This is a place where if twenty twenty was supposed to be the year for five G. and deals and conversations will be made to shape that will that mean that. You won't get a cool phone. That tha that makes you want to buy something new. That isn't from apple or Samsung. That you would think personally decked out with five G. coverage in the area so that people could demo mall these amazing new phones. All these other products that would be available. But with the wireless carriers not coming and then you don't have phone companies coming and then you have. Nobody coming deals will still be made but lake. We are holding onto our phones longer than ever before we need incentive to see what's new and cool so yeah a place like MDC is where the new and cool happens and the weird thing is like the past couple of years since we've been on lt even finally getting five G. and a much wider way. This would have been the year where we would see like really great phone. So I've been waiting and holding off on phones for a while because I'm waiting for five G. I don't WanNa get stuck in the middle but it's such a unfortunate time for this stuff to happen. I know it's really cool to have these kinds of tech in one place but you know what we do have the Internet and we do have phones and skype and everything. Do you think these conferences are even necessary anymore? Yeah Harlow Five G. Demo in places where there is five G. from people around and teleconference it in you know like is it necessary. It's a question everyone is asking There's worries that if you cancel something like this companies will reevaluate their budgets and go next year. Do I even need to go? And will that mean w? Mdc isn't as big or as important as it has been in the past. Think of all the money that has been poured into these companies especially the smaller ones who may be overspending outside their budgets to plan for it and have a presence there. And then like Oh. It's like a week and it's canceled so some of even said they're still going anyways to have some side meetings because they already had the plane tickets and hotel rooms and whatnot. That sounds pretty crazy. That people who are willing to keep going like forget it. There's conference going to go to starbucks and showing you what we got instead of just going ahead with the conference now. We'll talk a little bit about the corona virus for a second. Please do your research before freaking out. We'll have links to the CDC and the Mayo Clinic for information.

Facebook's digital currency initiative

"Is gonna go head to head with a lot of banks under the payments companies with its new venture libra, Nick tell us exactly what's going on here. Yes. So we've been hearing but some pieces tripping our Facebook for the last couple of months. And finally got the full details on Tuesday. I'm emerges that is not just Facebook. They've taken the lead, but a working with different backers from venture capital firms to Uber and Vodafone visa, and several of a big companies to create this global digital currency in practice. This kind of three parts to this at the top, there's a supervisory body called the Lieber association. That's one of those of backers of joined, and they'll be supervising, how things work in the technology on also managing reserve of real world assets like treasuries, and currencies the second part of this, which is the libra crypto currency is the record and blockchain style network, the in theory of the firms. Will be able to build on top of. So they say it'll be scalable, and it will be able to deal with money laundering risks and you'd be able to build more complex contracts on top of that should allow for new types of financial products. The third bit is the actual Facebook owned piece, which is co co libra a not is going to be the first wallet. That is built on top of this network at a basic function. It's going to be a way to let people pay their friends through what's up or Facebook messenger, but the idea is to build up and into big payments products where you might be buying things through Instagram. Or if you are might work sending money back home, getting into the remittance industry, which is not she shoot around the world. And then Lunga time they're hoping to build into more of a full-on challenge towards banks in a sense, if there are hundreds of millions of people around the world on millions even just in the UK and US people who don't have proper Banca caps, and I think this could be an area, not just like say a pay power. You only use it for making purchases something about, you could be storing your. And savings. Well, the impact here could be huge. Good need? Facebook is spinning it that way? I suspect one of their lines would be they have the power to end the issue of people being disenfranchised from the financial system. Bring those masses as you say, there's millions of people in to access to cash access to financial services from a impact point of view on the established players in the industry. This is also potentially massive because Facebook has the kind of reach with his billions of users that no other financial institution would who is set to lose from this. So this is all contingent on working is quite a big f, but if it does a lot of different people almost every link in the current payments chain, stuns lose to a lesser extent. The blockchain network itself on which these products be built that gets into the backyard of people like visa and MasterCard who provide the existing infrastructure that powers, the back end of transactions, and then at the mall, consumer face. Inside. Right. Kaliba is saying that's why pod issue was generally banks. But also people apple who'd be moving into the space recently and pay Paul and the acquirers, who appear at willed pay who link customers cards with matches on this Mexico networks, AOL stunned to lose as well. Banks could out doubly. So if it does genuinely become a place where people stole Monet, not just spend it even the libra association, which is managing a big reserve of assets and supervising currency, he's not stepping on the toes of central banks, which leads into the big f of whether they cannot she get approval for all of this stuff. Yeah. Absolutely. It's really shaking up that space of central banking regulation, of course, which goes to the heart of how much control central authorities have over the payment system and the money creation system. So Caroline, what on the thirties saying, well, not Khani the governor of the Bank of England was asked about this on cheese day while he was out. The central Bank in conference in Portugal, and essentially, he said that he is keeping an open mind about Facebook's plans. But obviously they are going to be subject to scrutiny, particularly if they reached that systemic level where many people are using libra to essentially buy goods and services. So I think what the beer we has said, is that certainly it should be studied as a global level, rather than country by country, which I think is broadly sensible, so that would probably be the Financial Stability Board, which is something Mr. Connie Easter char as well as the G seven IMF those kind of bodies. I think there are obvious policy and regulatory concerns are thrown out by Facebook's rather ambitious plans. And they range from the very kind of existential questions. Sasha's is libra, actually money is a token is indeed, a financing instrument, which would ring Tabatabai, the Robert. Securities laws in the United States in Europe. Three two, very present questions about data protection and indeed money laundering, and whether this could be used to facilitate financial crime and these are things that regulators and policymakers really are only beginning to grapple with now that they've seen the detail of the white paper

Google's sales swing and miss (The 3:59, Ep. 552)

"The. Welcome to distribute tonight Chiang, I'm offering Google's parent alphabet reported first-quarter revenue. The missed expectations earnings were hit by one point seven billion dollar e you find for practices. Amid all contras of what's interesting here is amid all the controversies around Google right now between their staff between ethics issues. They've always been able to count on their business. But even in this first quarter revenue did miss expectations and got slammed for it. Yeah. I think the big chunk of that are all of these controversies. But I also think it's interesting that no one's paying attention to their push into smart homes like making their own gadgets have their right made by Google branch with the pixel phone. They mentioned that they didn't sell as well as they had expected to either. No, that's a great point. They Samsung also reported last night also felt the same pressure particularly in the premium phone market is you're saying he's expensive phone. They aren't catching on with consumers because I don't think it's the controversies to be honest because Facebook undergoes these same controversies and yet they their earnings were up. Right. Yeah. So I don't think it's it's the controversies. I think it's pushing the hardware that's hurting their pockets. I think you're right. It's a really good point. They did teas. That there'd be more hardware coming for Google next week were expecting at least Michio pixel three phone. So maybe an affordable phone that affordable pixel phone that the consumers would actually wanna buy. Yeah. I mean, that's kind of how they found their hit with the Google home mini. I mean think about how Google home wasn't really doing that. Well, stacked up against the Amazons device for really long time. And then the mini kinda struck out for them. Yup. And keep in mind that before this whole pixel lineup. There was the next phone line franchise and those next phones were much beloved for the fact that they were Ford -able, also like amazing phones. All right next up while ways in the headlines, again, this time Bloomberg reports that Vodafone a back door vulnerabilities in some of his equipment far back as twenty eleven. This comes amid escalating tensions between the US. And while way and the CFO is still incarcerated in Canada awaiting extradition. What do you think? Yeah. So last week, the u k there was another report that the u. Hey would be allowing a way to build non-core parts of its infrastructure, but the officials from the department of homeland security at an event that I was at had mentioned that the still be a risk even though its non-core perhaps the UK government feels like they have found a manageable amount of risk because everything's gonna come with some level of risk. But you know, these reports like this don't really bode well for national security concerns surrounding wall way, a lot of security officials worry that you know, way is to close if the Chinese government and would be able to use that on five G networks to as a back door to spy on other countries. And the reports were interesting that, you know, Vodafone initially found some of those vulnerabilities while ways said, okay, we got this all fix and then they went back and actually look and those lower abilities were still around so deadly calls suspicion to the company. Lastly, can we talk about the sonic the hedgehog trailer? This looks awful. It's unfortunate that this is a podcast, and you can't walk. Watch this trailer as being unless you're on our livestream broilers. But yeah, I hated every single part of this. I mean, there was right down to the music choice gangster's paradise playing when sonic was running around. And it's just it's so weird to me because sonic has such a like conic, you know, low soundtrack. Yeah. Also. Yeah, why go with that song? When there are so many songs from like the sonic like discography honoree mino-, right? Where I say. But like there are two like poke Amonte like detective Pichu used like songs from yoga on the right? Hanukkah minute us like Coolio for this. Yeah. That's I mean. A love this is just contactable looking in. You know, Brian was saying this could be the next. Mario super. Mario brothers disaster. Yeah. I mean, honestly the coolest thing about this whole trailer was Dr robotic played by Jim Carey, right? I felt like they should have went the route of Sony when they did venom. Or I forgot what studios. I don't know if you're using venomous as a prototype as good movie. No. But like my point is is that they should focus on the villain store. Stay as a standalone movie. Joker sort of a background character. Yeah. Yeah. Don't give me live action Sonning doctoral robotic that's a cool. Like like, Jim. Carey looks the coolest. I don't know if there's a market peel for Dr Nick, I mean, look, I don't think song should be made it alive, actually. Yeah. It's just it's just weird. All right. "You haven't found out. I usually have mindset to auto do it. But in certain modes, like if I'm reading at night or from watching video, I will lock the orientation, but even if you have the orientation locked it'll still don't unlock itself. What's? You know, they got rid of buttons on the size, which is a little bit frustrating. They've done this before. So like the muse which is gone and that also act it's kind of a rotation lock. But they got rid of that a while ago, but the mute which is gone. The rotation lock or whatever is gone. And so you have a power button on the top. And then you have the volume buttons on the side, the weird thing with that is okay. So like taking a screen shot you have to press the power button. And then you have to press like volume button to take a screen shot. So that takes a little getting used to as opposed to the old way with the home button. Restarting that sort of thing is is is a little bit more challenging, but but it, but it's good. It feels really good. The screen is gorgeous, though, I really do like how the battles are. They're all even on the same side. I was a little bit worried about losing some of the vessels to be honest. Because even though I like thinner basil free design an ipad is a little bit different Vodafone. And that like you're holding a lot and you don't want your ones on the screen, right? Or you know, how how good is the palm detection going to be in my experience, so far it's been really good face. ID works. Really? Well, I haven't set it up. Actually, the second time. I set my ipad up for I had some internet connectivity. And so issues and so the second time I was setting it up. I actually did it. It was basically dark, and it still was able to pick up my face again. I guess because of the I r on the camera the low light nature it works. Really? Well. So I did not get the keyboard cover. Okay. That's two bags or win to ask you. I know I looked at that. In the store, I'm going to be honest with you. I don't I've never liked the keyboard cases. I mean, not a fan of them, especially when you've got the surface, you've got the surface go. I was really really really guest with like the keyboard covers with it. Is you feel it? So we'll store in. I mean, it feels not significantly better than the first John. I also don't like the the best feature which is like origami design, which is very versatile for this simple to use version of it. The keyboard is my biggest worry because that's why I never typed on my right? Right. Right. So instead what I what I have done is I've paired it with like, a bluetooth keyboard and numerous great, and I'm I'll be interested to see if Logitech or some other companies are able to do something that will work with the sparked connector in some way. In theory. No, smart connector can be better because it doesn't have to do the pairing and that sort of thing but in practice, a bluetooth keyboard works fine. I did get the new apple pencil the new apple pencil as every all the reviews have said is significantly better. Like, this is the way apple should have decided to begin with in my opinion. It feels better on the hand is the same. I guess overall like thickness, but it's now has a flat edge on it that actually feels like a pencil ridge mom, which is good. And when you double tap on that, you can double tap at anywhere. It'll switch to the eraser or if you're an apps and their ups, you can you know, depending on what hap it is set to go to the last will used which is a nice way of switching things. I really appreciate that. They finally got rid of the stupid requirement to you don't have the capped charge it which was my pagan with the old pencil. And then finally it does it attaches to the side. What is a centrally the top of the ipad to hold it. I guess. Horizontally? If you were hold a vertically, it'd be what's what's on its right side. And when you do that at pairs, it automatically it'll come up and kind of tell you. Hey, apple pencil is there..

"If you compare the heart rate graph for the for data from the building sensor data from the external one, it's like the one is a smooth curve with all data points fielding and the apple watch series for while better than before still has gaps between every data point to. So it's bad, but it's the accuracy level that you want from from. It's not the accuracy. It's the frequency of the measurements, the accuracy. I think it's better at least for me because the watch seats better on my wrist. So it doesn't poll for data as frequently as an external sensor does. But when he when he Cup cher's data, I think it's more accurate than before because physically speaking, the new design makes it sit better on my wrist. So yeah, and they may. They may also. Finally, I switched carriers to get seller support on the watch. So good. Goodbye. Tim team, goodbye. Hallo Vodafone. I'm now Vodafone customer. I set up cetera today. I was actually concerned at first because it was not working. I kept getting narrower and then I Google desirer and the were a bunch of people claiming they're going to sue, Vodafone Italy because they, you know, say, wasn't are working for the plan, but I don't care after ten minutes at just worked. I think it was like a temporary problem on the webpage getting set up, right? Like you set it up now on the watch. It just got added to my data plan. I three months or free, then it's five years per month. And you got five gigabytes of data. Should never use that, but what you have to do. Is it the thing anyone anyone that's own to sell it or watch will probably tell you that you will never use it, but it's nice. What's nice is that I think those five gigabytes also count for my phone. Well, it's kind of ridiculous might my new plan consists of fifty gigabytes. To anywheres, which is ridiculous. Anyway, I guess I guess what people do use it for would be to stream. Right. But I feel like as well these days, like a lot of apps over cost and music that cashing on the the watch anyway, see, probably not streaming that much, but like I guess if you're like out running, I can understand that. But that really does feel like the only use case for extensive Salil usage on the watch is like that. You leave the house and go running. Listen to music streaming of like, gave us the mentioning, like, you know, about having. You said this about like, oh, it'd be nice to have to take your phone out when you will dogs, but you're probably not really doing anything. It's just so people can contact you necessary. Like it's an like in the web. I went to the park with dogs, and today we're just my watch. I actually you guys, I called my mom. Oh, that was, what can you see this message. The park. I got a bunch of emails as what was at the park. Great. If this sounds the sounds. Nice and futuristic at first. It was kinda weird that I didn't have the phone with me. I think it's going to be nice for those times who are like, I just need to walk the dogs on the, you know. Just for five minutes or go to the park and not, you know, have my phone or meet distracted. I think it doesn't really work for all the times when either I want to listen to music in my car because the watch cannot connect to the car bluetooth. So I need my phone ultra doesn't work for times when like either with my dogs or in social situations with my friends, I wanna take pictures because of course the watch doesn't have a camera. So I think it would be nice for those few times where either I forget my phone which is not a common thing that I do or maybe I just I just wanna leave my phone behind because it's I can go into for ten minutes. Maybe. I don't know..

"So they're your Athena -cation to the portal, make sense that you would want that to be secure. Whereas someone getting a phone, they're just thinking about their phone. They want the phone to work. They may never even log into. Their portal. So, yeah, I mean, although the the interesting precedent and the worried that this sort of suggests is, are we going to see more of this kind of behavior from from other people besides Vodafone a male traditionally, when a user has lost money due to like their account being hacked because they used monkey as their password and their their, their debit card was was grabbed and they're, they're banking account was emptied as like, oh, too bad. It's on you, right? So when so here we're, we're seeing exactly the same model, but the user is running up a Bill on their account that they're refusing to pay and Vodafone is saying, no. Your account got hacked. You're responsible for the fact that bad guys got a sim which they hooked to your phone number thus to your account and then ran up gambling charges. You know, like the Bill that you've received, but we're going to send debt collectors after you in order to collect it. So I don't know. You know, we've often talked about how weird it is that in software the user accepts all the blame for whatever happens. Even if the system hurts them. It'll be interesting to see what whether you know legislation begins to to take the position of corporations that are that are trying to hold us responsible and at speaking of which. Tesla gets hacking. Exactly, right. They updated their formal product security page and eliminated. All doubt. "Check the markets for you every fifteen minutes here on Bloomberg radio and if we, look at the Asian equity session, the Asia Pacific index is. Up some two tenths of. A percent you're seeing a little bit of a mixed picture across the indices little bit of outperformance on the hang sang Chinese equities at steady if a touch weaker after to the biggest three day gain in about two years after Chinese equities the UN. Study as well of course we saw that drop to its lowest in a year yesterday looking at, the offshore we are still. Past six eight six eighty. Nine is where we trade but we're fairly steady on, that the, Turkish. Lira also studying. Up, we'll talk. About that in just a second with David he actually it is. A touch stronger if anything. Up almost six tenths of a percent after dropping three percent yesterday again. We'll talk more about that injustice Second elsewhere and affects. The Bloomberg dollar index are that is really going nowhere dead flat the AUSSIE dollar is what you want to be focusing on. In this session that weaker after that we can expected CPI. Data David Feherty again is going to talk to Donald. So I just want to mention all the yen Marcus, because that. Is off two tenths of, a percent eighty, two spot thirty two is where we trade but the top forecaster for. This cross that says that if the trade tensions, heat up we could see or the yen dropped to seventy six. Fifty a level that we haven't seen since two thousand sixteen and a number of people have points to this, as a key cross to watch if we talk about trade tensions in the fixed income space of the tenure JJ be. Yield down one and a. Half basis, points really we didn't see anything unusual out of that regular, operation from the b., o. j. but of course, the has been very much in focus this, week the ten year treasury yield meanwhile down a basis point as. Well two point nine four percent is where we trade. So we continue to pull away from. That three percent level and we've got the cash market open for European bonds, as, well we'll bring you those prices And yields as we get the Marcus yeah we're also looking ahead to the European open in terms of equities. The stock six hundred yesterday climbing, zero point nine percent the largest increase in a month this morning however the futures are, pointing lower euro stocks fifty futures off by about a quarter of a percentage point the same goes for Dax futures Footsie-100 futures declining by about a third of one percent futures are performing they are. Little changed as I look at them now of course we've had through a slew of different earnings that we need to take into. Account. In the European equity space including Deutsche Bank LVMH also coming out with a lot. Better than expected, figures in yesterday's or after the session yesterday so, the question is if that, may help out the French index today. When it comes to commodities oil prices pressing higher. After industry data showed a drop in US inventories sixty eight, dollars and seventy two cents higher by three tenths of one percent. That is where WTI is Trading this morning corporate little changed while, other metals such as zinc as. Well as. Aluminium ARA sort of pressing lower all right let's bring you some breaking news just very quickly bring. You. The key lines here first of all I want to tell you. That IT first half revenue is coming at, one point, five nine billion pounds the estimate was one. Point, four nine billion pounds so that is. A beat on the first half revenue for IT of course. You can dig into more of. The details on. The Bloomberg terminal wisdom meanwhile first quarter revenue coming in. At five hundred and fifty three point four million. Euros, the estimate, was five hundred sixty three million euros so that is amiss the wizards beat for itv's first off revenue miss, for wizar- first-quarter. Revenue Marcus you've just gotta line coming out of Vodafone yeah first-quarter organic service revenue growth coming in. At zero point three percent the estimate there was for zero point two percent growth so a little bit better, than expected when it comes to that organic service revenue growth, guidance reiterated as well from Vodafone all right let's get back to the markets. And cross over to Singapore Paul where David Finnerty. From, the markets live team joins. Us so we're seeing some, weakness in. The in this session David a good, day to you..

"I would think subdivision players are coming back i was looking at some of the interesting some of the international lecompte stocks like vodafone that we own got there are a lot of com stocks in europe that are a four percent six percent dividend yield so i think you want to look out senior us might continue to like emerging markets um i think emerging markets are going to continue to do well just because they're growing faster than the us where you want to be and it's market timing yagudin uh i it credit markets in other words of a you see the highyield markets showing off today with our our lisa abramowicz yeah go ahead and i to me i've been worried about the riskier uh parts of the credit market just because they think that the central bank stimulus and there's so much money system so what we've been invited our clients the do legal up in other words all watch the lower zhao you'll do i do higherquality high yield and i do higher quality investment grade does the mixer to change again i undertook took curious about this prediction where hate to see a selloff yet foreseen basis bhd side or port forbes and tell us with the sp 500 up in a sixteen plagued the year did you try to find some way that is a clever way to collar it is our way to sort of say i'll take what this and i'm willing to give us most side if i give away if i don't have to take on the downside our or you just kind of stick with what a uh uh what what's the thing to stick with the the date which braga well i think that i would look at lower volatility sectors and what's always hard to do the right thing abg guy at the time when it seemed the uh the lesson television thing to do so you know people always um by interest rate protected when rates have already run up and that's exactly the wrong time so to your question i would be buying the lower volatility stocks the dividend yield uh uh the multinational uh maybe not some of high flyer multinationals but some of the steady at east that are going to.

"Look up and as a whole lot of money there that's the blessing part the curse part is there's only two flavors of ice cream and a 401 k risk and imani mart n a money market so it's hard to protect what you grown inside vodafone k and i'm gonna tell you a and whether you called a secret inaba but nobody nami nobody knows this about their four when case not even the hr department were you work at when you're fifty nine and a half years of age or older eucontrolled hence for what's in your four one k plan into an ira still continue working still continue making contributions still continued getting matches but you can move the money into an ira and in the ira you have a lot more opportunity to protect it and you also have the opportunities start creating the income that you're going to need in retirement so you can't do it before that age now before and nobody knows that you can do it after everybody thinks you have to leave your employer to do it and that's not true i'll see you can just roll it into an ira rolled into an ira once you 59 if it's not it's a little tricky but we do this all the time we do this at least once or twice wakefield folks this is one of those things that you know your company like you look at things that people just don't normally do i mean i like you have that i don't wanna come loopholes but you're like looking at all this different information that's out there right marion because that's our focus late '50s early 60s it that's what we hone in on that's that those are the folks that need them most tell believer not you're in that age category you have a big loss at that time you are going to be working longer or you're gonna be living lot smaller and and how do you analyse that how do you like when someone comes to you and they say okay i have this much money on what what how do you figure that out figure what out how you figure out like this is you have not.
