And I found a really good rhythm is especially when house interesting got put on your line. And what what is he made a veteran presence of steam out there, and you guys have found finding some magic. Please defense weapons we two hundred fetus game. I mean. He's a good player to play with, you know, it's. He he mentioned me something the other day. He was talking about being on the fourth line. And what he's seen to his lot about liners. He's about momentum. If the team has momentum you have to step over the Boers and keep the momentum. If the team needs momentum as a job of the fourth line, get masturbate for sure he's right? I think it's really important especially to. We're not playing really good reason. Nothing like I've got to go out there and just the physical just maybe to get some ozone time just to get momentum. It's been happening. A lately, and it's a good thing. So I hope things. Nice. Stick by Alan knocks it away Colorado holds it in nearside Duranthon. Here's Dr blocked away by so. He's got a short handed it over time. Legally. Louis blues. Bring out. Brian all Riley winner. The blues won their second game in a row as they defeated the Colorado Avalanche in thrilling fashion afford three win the game winning goal. A short handed overtime goal by Ryan O'Reilly. And in the game joy of Italia. We learned a new rule not a new rule, but a rule that I have never seen before in terms of illegally. Oh, yeah. We'll start out last night a very gutsy way by the Saint Louis blues something they've really struggled with this year was putting two wins together. Last one. They did you have the date back to November six when they did it but to wins in a row, and they're slowly climbing out of this whole played a great game last night allow Lee changes it was a physical game. And the blues found themselves in a very similar situation as the avalanche tied the game three three comfort put them on the tying goal there. And then the blues going overtime rhino Riley Tarasenko and break or on the ice cold break a loses. His stick Tarasenko gives him his stick. So not Sarah. Singles without a stick while cope miracles using his stick number ninety one finally has a moment to go. Get cult Morocco. Stick long story short. It becomes a penalty. It's a rule where you cannot pick up another teammate stick. So Tara single ends up picking up Colt break. Oh, stick. It puts the avalanche on a four on three power play in overtime last night, any credible blocked by Robert Bork. Oh that leads to rhino Riley on a breakaway. Override makes no mistake goes back in forehand on an incredible goal on group. Our and that was an OT winter classic last night in Saint Louis lose one tuna roll their back it against the Calgary. "We've played to overtime after a couple of lead changes blues grabbing a one nothing lead early. Colorado scoring twice blues. Equalizing at the end of the first period after we played even through the second the blues with scorn Colton Perico. How it's your seconds after a power play ended Colorado, then would tied at three so into overtime. We went and a bit of a tough break a bizarre sequence in the blue zone zome in three on three hockey where Colton Perico was in a battle along the boards. His stick fell to the ice after a couple of moments. Vladimir Tarasenko gave Colton his stick gladdy went over eventually to pick up Colton stick. And was immediately whistled guys. What have we found out about that? Apparently apparently Chris from up top here. We thought it was an odd. Call we saw the whole blues bench up in arms about it. Mike van Ryan said he didn't know the rule, and apparently we had some people talk to us and some information ten point three in the rule book. The rough got this wrong, they botched this call apparently the rule ten point three it says, and it states saving a follow me on this one. Here a player who has lost or broken his stick may receive a replacement stick by having one handed to him from his own players or by the bench or by having one handed to him by his teammate on the ice or this interesting by picking up his own unbroken stick or that of his teammates. So technically. Vladimir Tarasenko picks up Colton Perico stick the rep thought that was illegal gave him a penalty. But that is complete legal. Okay. Here's here's the question on this is where I'd have to look into we have to look into the case book on this. Because that refers to a player that lost her broke his stick. It doesn't refer to a player who gave his stick to the other player. Like Perico didn't lose his stick or Vladi lose Roderick. Sorry ladimir. Give it up. Vladimir Tarasenko didn't lose or break. His stick Tarasenko gave his stick to Perico. Okay. So at that point the interpretation of the rule, and that's why. So what the NHL does is they take that rulebook, and they used to give these out and haven't seen one in years, but they call them case books, and then in that case book, they they spell out how the different rule is done. So Colton per if they were to sticks on the ice cold to me, at least the way this was called right now, we'll have to just get this confirmed, but Colton Perico would have been the guy based on. How you read that rule that could have gone a picked up a teammate stick or his own steak wasn't broken. I don't know how that applies to bladder MIR Tarasenko who had given his stick away. So does that is that not considered losing it? There's an extra interchange. I do not know that is. So it's a unique one. We'll get an answer for it though. Chris see we can dig up something else there. Yes. So the call happens the blues go on the penalty kill four on three in overtime. And then after stick gate, it's rhino Riley off to the races, very far.

"Craig said the goaltenders need to be better. But you're paying players to create offense. And you know, this was something we talked about in the preseason. I pose the question to curbs about how good this fourth line truly is. And and and they continue to tell us that if you're spending time talking about the fourth line it's a lost season because your top six your top nine should be one of the best in the National Hockey League with the names that you have on paper, but listen to these so Vladimir Tarasenko only nine goals this season, which what are we twenty twenty eight games into the year? Nine goals Craig said it's out early anymore. That's not an excuse. There's no more early on in the season nine goals on the season for Vladimir Tarasenko. He had three goals in a matter of three games. But he has been held pointless in three in the last three games. He only has he went ten games. Without a goal. Let's confusing there. So nine goals on the season for Vladi. He had three and three games held pointless in his last three and he's gone ten games without a goal. That's fluky. And you need you need him, right or Riley who I don't think anybody should be taking shots at at all this season. But two goals and three assists in the last eleven games. He's been held pointless in the last three including tonight. Brayden Schenn four assists in his last ten games was a guy who was one of your best players last season. David Perron who was scratched tonight one point last four games. And that was the assist Friday night against the jets. Patrick maroon who has been scratched this season? He's pointless in his last six games. He only has two points in his last twelve that's a goal and an assist in Tyler bows equity. Don't think people were expecting to be a point producer the season. He's been held pointless in his last eleven games. But a defensive forward is joy vitality mentioned with curves on the mercy postgame breakdown. And I know you have to take plus minus with a grain of salt, but Boesak has been a minus player in five his last eleven games. Now, again, take into consideration the amount of penalties that they've taken take into consideration. How much defensive struggles? There have been not all on Tyler Bosak. But a plus minus player who's sitting up minus and five of his last eleven games. So. You try and break it down as best you can. And and and that's my take away from this one tonight, and you heard from Craig ruby and the frustration that he has and the only thing you can do is hope to see a better performance in the next game and the blue play three more at home and they play Florida. On tuesday. And that's not going to be any easier. Yeah. Florida. Colorado Calgary will preview those coming up as we wrap things up at the blues post game show, Alex Ferrario with you six one final score conducts beat the blues is the Saint Louis, blues hockey. "Even with Vladimir Tarasenko not letting that hand pass not touching the puck. And then you get Filip Forsberg. He goes, and he's like well take the puck bring it back into my own zone. Creates a turnover. And then that's when the blues end up getting a goal. So it's little moments like that that changed the momentum of the game prevent that stopping prevent that face off where everybody gets to reset or even something as little as just finishing. Your check like to have twenty nine hits tonight is huge. I mean, you had thirty three which was the season high against Toronto. And you won that game by a landslide. So like this one just finishing the checks. It creates a difference on the four check it makes board play a lot tougher. And then you start to see guys a little more hesitant with their stick. Because they're preparing for a body to come at them rather than the way that the blues were doing before just trying to get those turnovers and trying to make that extra pass. They're letting their bodies the work. Oh, yes. I mean hitting and fighting and playing with the edge. It's it's just contagious. You know what I mean? So when you see brain Chengdu it. And Pat, maroon do it I saw transient lay out there. I mean that was a huge hit. It was right before he got laid out by Brayden Schenn again, which she never even returned to the game. But when you see things like that, it's contagious and it filters down through the whole group. But also for a player in this league in you ask any player for them to be into a game. It's so important to get physically engaged early when you get physically engage early then you mentally and emotionally getting gays in the game. And that's when you really can take your team to the next level. So for the blues the come out tomorrow night again and just get on the bat earlier just get on these guys and finish your hits. It's the little things finish hit go the net. Stop at the net. You're going to have big buffalo and getting your face getting his facial stare them down. Just get some sort of emotion in the game. You can really get emotional in these games. That's when it can take over physically. And that's from the blues can really start identifying with this identity. I guess you could say they're such a difficult stretch of hockey turns of paying the price for having a couple of stretches of four days off. All right. So you're you're in another kind of three and four nights scenario here. Tomorrow is going to be the fourth. Game of this week. And so you've got to manage that. And so when you're talking about the little things that Amy was just talking about how you manage it. I thought the coaching staff today, and especially getting their lead allowed them to really balance these lines out pretty well. Perico led the team in ice time with just over twenty two minutes. Alex. Angelo is in the twenty one minute range, not not twenty five twenty six you'll editor Terasenko played under sixteen minutes, the forwards were really well balanced as well. And so that I think was a really important aspect of tonight's game. That's going to help you tomorrow night against the Winnipeg Jets. But because you've got some of those that fatigue factor. They can't kick in. That's where the mental part of making the smart plays. And as I think is going to become mantra for this team live to fight another day. Try maybe you don't try to make that play at the blue line. You just get it out and regroup and that'll help you win some more games cycling the puck, but you're also cycling lines out there. So guys aren't playing you know, the last ten minutes of a game. If you're down by one one lines not playing eight minutes compared to the other guys if you're shifting it around and make sure everyone's even out there. At least you're a little more rested going into tomorrow night's game against the Winnipeg Jets. Speaking of the cycling, I cut lost. It might train of thought. I was actually thinking of Riley's goal kind of mid line change when Sammy play and Oscar Sundquist where it's still out there. If you watch before that goal the puck was just moving around the offensive zone and again o'reilly's not with his line. But they were mid line change. They were able to have sustained offense pressure in the offense zone. And then to Joey's point about going to the net and having that just driving to the net that mentality on fabrics goal that to make it five one. You have Chen and fabric going to the net. While Robert Thomas is looping around the back of the net. And there were no predators around them. They were just they they beat everybody there. They beat the defense there. They didn't do any dilly dallying in the offensive zone went straight for the net. And then you have to blues and inadequate goal. Just like that. And it's not only a quick goal. But think of how that goal happen. How the puck ended on Robby fabric. Stick back door open at Robert Thomas actually throws us to them that actually was going to miss not only Hsien but fabric. It didn't hit either of them in actually hit a national predators skate. And then it went through schenn's legs back to Fabri. And it was a very very fortunate bounce. But they were there. That's the point in your job. Dick to keep that national predator player away from tap in and out. It's incredible. Stick down to keep his legs in place. So Fabri would get it. Good things happen. And that's the goal that happened because Vladi didn't touch the puck Forsberg took it in his own. That's where he turned it on the blue line. Exactly. So you still I it's point though, I what we're going to see this is what we keep an eye on like the progression of what's going on. So right. We talked about identity talk about some of those little things the coaching staff is is harping on these players to win the blues beat meeting with the blue lights, whether it be five to eight feet inside or outside win those lines by van Ryan said after the game he felt that we got to the front of the net the opposing team's net better tonight than we've done in quite a while. That's another thing you're gonna wanna see one thing. I'm going to definitely be keeping a close eye on especially tomorrow night's game is the defensive player in front of our own that I still think we're too soft in front of our own net. That's how they scored that power play goal that they got tonight. Guys, getting turned around not being hard enough on sticks. Even if even if you can't you don't get on Benito. And you can't knock him out of there. Just because of the way games are caught. You've gotta somehow walked down on his stick. So he doesn't have is a free range on there. So more bodies in front of the net on the offensive side tougher on the defensive side in front of your own net. And we'll see how that turns over these next. I really felt like though watching. I'm not as in depth of this. But the the strategy style and the defense like it seemed different than what we've seen before. Like, it seemed like guys were were tightening in their own zone. They were they were collapsing in front of Jake rather than before where we saw they were watching this guy out here. They're watching this guy out there. They were making sure that if anybody tried to push themselves into in front of Jake into that hot area, they were pushing them out pretty fast. And I felt like that was the difference at least to me. Yeah. I saw that as well. Tonight. Alex. I also saw a couple of plays in the corners where we want to battle where I think a week ago month ago, we'd see a two to one two were just progress until someone came up with the puck. But tonight, I saw cone actually dive in there and he created three onto outnumber situation for the blues in defensive zone. He's the one actually pulled the puck out. And then he skated the puck the distance all the way to the offensive zone. So I can call that a swarm there's a couple of different names for it. But under Baru be that's the one thing I noticed differently defensively another thing that really stands out defense with. I think they've had a lot of success in not so much Wednesday night. But definitely tonight they cleaned it up a lot. They're coming through the middle of the ice. A lot more. You know, so many teams clogged the strong side wall. You'll have to four checkers hard, and then he had that third guy high. And then you had that pinching offense men is almost four layers of players in order to get up that wall. But the blues tonight, we're very successful using that low sentiment come to the middle and even going to the winger, and then stretching it that weeks ideas in front of the net. The leads to the breakout rubber Thomas is found some some comfortably on the wing for right now. Heck, yeah. Yes. Great close, it might it might have missed it. You were talking to him about that earlier. Yeah. We were talking about. I said, Dr Robert you look great on that wing there Hajjah field night. He goes, oh, I loved it. You know, he's such a such a great kid in the first place to sell such good, energy joy. I love it. I love being out. There said Where'd you love about it? He said, you know at the center position, and I can relate to this. When you're a Centerman, you have a lot of responsibility. You are the quarterback you're not only focused on winning faceoffs being engaged offensively being creative offensively. But more importantly defensively. You have got to help out. Download your third defensemen. You gotta be responsible. I mean, this is a nineteen year old kid who's going against Jaime. Ben allison. Big name guys, and he's just a boy himself. Right. So when you're at that center position it's very stressful at times, and it's a heavy load for a kid to be dealing with a kid who's a rookie into this league. When you move to the wing, you don't take on as much responsibility defensively now. Brayden Schenn takes on that responsibility of veteran who can handle it. He's at the defensive position. He's taken his winger. He's garden his defense. And as they break out he can focus more on the offensive side of the game. And I think that's what we've seen in the last couple of games for him. You know, he told me this morning to that. It was an opportunity to watch and play in a fund that weird like watching somebody play in the middle of a game like you're focusing, but he said to be able to watch Hsien create those opportunities for myself and Fabri it's something you can take away from it. Because obviously playing at the junior levels a lot different than trying to create scoring chances at the NHL level. But to be able to play on a wing and watch and do all of that that you just talked about play defense, but also be able to create offense and in five for the puck and use at aggressive this. I feel like that's going to be something. Huge for Robert Thomas down the road..

"Five fifteen on camel ex let's send it to the Newbold BMW Toyota sports desk, say good evening to Chris. Really good evening. We get ready for hockey blues are in Chicago to take on the Blackhawks first game of a three game road trip. That'll send them to Vegas and then San Jose following their seven game homestand. Chicago is lost eight games in a row. They have not won since they fired their head coach Joel Quenneville Chris Kerber on game day podcast with Tom Ackerman. Cam Janssen available at kmox dot com. Says that everyone needs to be better with Pat maroon joining the lineup again, we're continuing to talk about the fourth flying for the Saint Louis blues. Then we've got some problems. And the reason I say that is because fourth lines are important it adds depth. They can they can get you some goals that they can be momentum changes when you have a game like social club a couple of games ago. Getting two goals. You know that that's a huge factor in helping you win. But the bottom line is these team is going to win. It's going to win because it's best players are the best players and the best players playing on the fourth line. Now, it's winning because of what rhino Riley is doing its winning because of what of what Jaden Schwartz and Brayden Schenn when he gets back in after the injury in Vlad guys like fabric. Vladimir Tarasenko it's winning because of what Alex betraying Gelo a Colt. Perico Joel Edmonson are going to be doing is going to get back in the lineup today. You gotta figure he's going to be motivated not not not easy being a healthy scratch by any means yet. Maroon back in Bom Easter is why you can hear the full Cam likes game day podcast with Cam, Tom and curbs from Chicago at kmoXcom six thirty. I've got the blues pre-game skates. "But now back to Montreal. Hi, chris. Thank you very much flus travel. Montreal Canadian's by a score of two to one being outshot seventeen eleven. Entre clearly adopted under Julian that philosophy of funnel that to the net. And then go get it. They went to draw shot gets blocked. They hover around the park to get back and skating out with it as Cairo still looking for that first NHL goal, you'd drive it in skate around the net to the nearside flipped it up to the blue line. And they hits off the stick of Edmonson comes out of his own. A terrorist. Cinco fans on the back. End the pocket center, Cairo intercepts over the line for O'Reilly that one goes too far Montreal in transition for Gallagher missed him. Edmonson smokes it to the right side. Tarasenko chips at in side freaks a two on one. Comes about I love Alano Riley. He knocked it down with a glove. And it just went wide. Here's montreal. The other way on side in shock goes over the head of Allen to the corner. The new near wing cleared by Bosak back to the Montreal zone. Hausner as it up the middle of the ice. It comes to Byron overdue are Mia. And he'll go to take a shot and it hits the netting up over the glass. Byron gets dropped by Edmund center Mia comes over grabs Evanston. Wow. What a chance there for the blue probably the best chance of the night. It started from a turnover by Vladimir Tarasenko at the offensive blue line makes a nice little Dipsy doodle play between the legs of the Canadians defender and final Riley. And it was tyrod on the two on one a beautiful pass from O'Reilly gets it over to Cairo coming on the right side uses that right game shot tries to put a right over the gloves. Carey price, just smoke suppose. Man, the rebounds, right different. Rod. He couldn't get it out of the year and bring it down to put it in. But great chance there for the blues but cleared around up the right side Stine those over the line, and he slides it into the streets of maroon and their offside. Example, right. There is the blues are coming out with speed. They got Steve Cummings a neutral zone. Pat. Maroon standstill with the blue line because he had to stop because seen isn't progressing the puck. When I'm putting in the offense of don't if we can get the timing down instinctive crossed that red space in the offensive zone. Then you have number seven. He doesn't need to stop thinking. Get in hard on the porch. Bosak on the face of wins. It Steen drops it back to the defense. But it goes all the way down to their own end and done sends it over to smaltz schmaltz through the neutral zone. Dubose? Zach cuts did the middle of the ice. Just missed them the Fletch in from maroon steam throws it on goal price. Steers it to the corner. Chip to the nearside cook any EMMY gets knocked down in a tripping penalty coming up against Pat. Maroon. Canadians ended up with the. Delayed penalty and the blues will touch it up. And Pat, maroon is going to be fired up as he's barking at Eric furloughed. Ruinous fired. I thought it was a solid call, Pat. Maroon goes in on the four check he tries to finish the head. It looks like the defensive in for the Canadian sidesteps a little bit maybe puts his leg out of bed and ship them up and unfortunate call but the right call the blues back to be tested on the penalty. Kill. You need to kill here. Joey, you, you know, you didn't get one last time. This is a big big momentum shift of the game right here. And it starts with the draw. Three forty two to go. The second period. Clear by the blues or the rattler pest control penalty kill. Penalty kill of the hockey game for Montreal fifth penalty when you count the fighting major handed out the maroon early in the first. Reuss slot for the puck. Not enough to clear it. Canadians fired in front to go to the net. And they couldn't get a piece of it. Barbara doesn't clear and they go. Portraying Gelo and the blues finally clear the zone all find block shot there. But again barbershop has the puck on his stick for clear. They don't get clear every failed attempt clear has been leading to a Canadian chance. Here's Montreal on the power play. They dump it down into the blues known. Get to the corner sticking laying there from Hsien and with Perico self Bill cleared out. Ends bring it in. Lose it blues. Get back out Schwartz dimension to the bench. Forty four seconds to go in the penalty. Maroon two twenty three to play Canadians. You're going to dump it in deep Perico gets to it gets the eat it along the wall. But again, the support and speed of the Canadians held it in and now it's broken out. Bosak brings it in short handed shoots. It why do the goal over to the right side. Who don't is there ended up looking at this game. Then another topic might be on net. Absolutely. Those down in the corner. Here's put grandeur hard rim around those act makes the play along the wall. Good penalty killing Tyler Bosak going back to Toronto for Saturday night where he played his first ten seasons in the NHL hockey to go in this one yet grade stick by Alexander Steen. He denied a chance for the Canadians on the rush blues. Clear it out to maroon out of the box read even strength break. Kill in an important one by the Saint Louis blues puck threaded into the middle of the ice. Tarasenko checking down Lekan. Move it up over the line for O'Reilly into the middle down to the goal line. Maroon for Tarasenko they force it to the blue line schmaltz nearside to Riley, and they miss him on the past. This one's cleared by the Canadians. We'll let sends it out. Schmaltz break patients dishes, often Vince done non-euro Riley, making a play over the line Maroney looked back for the trailer leaves it. Well this. Twice. To affliction on the left pad. Save dano for the Canadians debt Gallagher leaves at Ellesmere rips in his own flair. Forty seven seconds to go the blues trying to go fast. Schmaltz leads the rush looking. I support hits the right side. Peron fires it on price. The save with thirty seven seconds to go while thanks certainly picking up here for the blues lightness here here, we had a great chance earlier in that shift and right there Tarasenko doing a great job coming down the lane small perfect job going over the blue line ho such as the curls up, and he his Peron the net on the right side. Gary price makes a great save earlier in that ship. It was simple Vince done at the point options to throw the Tonette hits a Canadian defense skates. Redirects Carey price has to come up extremely big there and drawing on his left pad. But the blues the mortar thrown as a net the mortgage on there. There's traffic there's there's bodies there. That's going to be a key move afford right now, there's not doing enough. Here. The Canadians do the neutral zone a clean face off win and a quick rush into the blue zone. It took them all about seven seconds to get up the ice play off the boards by Schwartz. Got it back to the blues. Hsien drops it back now Edmonson back hands the puck in Chen trying to get in on the four check wish Schwartz onto the puck Jaden Schwartz. Tied up by Gallagher. Jen coming in to help out. He's got it Hsien centers to Edmonson and had sin gets hooked on the play and Edmonson will take shop and then Donohoe's gonna fake down to one knee trying to draw the penalty, and that's going to have the period come close. Vladimir Tarasenko is going over to talk to the referee. He's not really app is going off the ice. Yeah. I think he's upset because Joel Emerson got hooked. There was like he was coming down the slot with six seconds ago in the period for a one timer. Just kind got can opener and gotta stick underneath his elbow. There could have been hooking call, but..

"One timer by Vladimir Tarasenko. We missed out on to opportunities that really are so lethal when you see successful powerplays. It's that one time it's at one time shot. Putting the pressure on the goalie as he sliding. So I think if he can get that under control, I think that makes a power play that much more lethal Armstrong made a really interesting comment yesterday when he said Vlady from fifteen twenty twenty five feet he can beat goaltenders, and you can get thirty five goals that way. But what I want to see this is Doug. He said I want to see them. Get those ten fifteen goals right around the blue paint the dirty goals the goals in the tough areas. And I wonder not just the space created on his line now with O'Reilly and maroon but also that you know, that the top power play unit, and Colton Perico and Vince done potentially bombing it from the blue line if laddy could take that next step and get some of those dirty nasty goals that may be helping turn the corner from scoring style. I think that's what takes him from thirty to thirty five goals scored to a fifty goal scorer. I mean, look red hall just mentioned it in the first segment with Chris Kerber, Joey vitality that you want. Somebody make them regret. You. You shooting the puck. Yeah. Whole said to take a lot, which was awesome. Very true. Very true. But look he made the point that it's like, look if you're going to shoot the puck and guys are going to get in the lane make them pay for it in Vladimir Tarasenko has such a lethal shot that have guys are getting in front of them make them regret doing that. Because that's going to open up lanes four that's gonna create space. The second flinching. Shin guards don't line shots. Unbelievable. If he's that right? Saudis playing on the left flank and I was talking to both Allen. And Chad Johnson about how difficult it is. When you've got a guy taking one timers on his off side. It makes all the difference in the world not just the quickness. But when you have a guy taking one time from his off-side in line as case, it's a right shot on the left Lincoln Vladimir left shot on a right flank. The net opens up there is so much more net for a guy to shoot at if he's shooting a one time from his off side. Then if he's on if it's a lefty taking on the left side, let's take a break come back in here..

"In order to get him unless you're talking about pick some prospects guys that aren't at the nhl level but like kind of a good point who like i think we assume sometimes you know that a guy will go for the most years the most money or the highest bidder but if he looks around and can essentially pick where he's gonna go play would he want a team to have to give up a major piece or pieces to acquire them right and not only that but a player at his level you would think you would want to get back to free agency sooner than later to cash again but the only thing that leads me to believe that it will be a signing trade is i do believe he has some loyalty there as much as i can be overrated i want to get something of the islanders it's been there for a long time the type of guy he seems to be i think he would try to get the island or something on his way out if you were to leave them just to leave a better taste than the whole organization and for the fans there you heard box say in god what a beauty of align this was that he could make beautiful music with vladimir tarasenko and whether he wants to go somewhere right now a team that's ready to go right now or there are a bunch of big time teams that have for the first time in a while high picks will be able to load up cap space and what kind of situations attractive to johnson versus know have you even heard rangers but i really doubt that he would do that to the islanders afraid to arrive they have a ton of picks this year.

"The heck is wrong with this team you try to paul staffing basically throw the white flag to the season then this team goes on a run six game win streak puts themselves back into the playoffs you lose four games you wonder what the heck is going on with this hockey team then you pick up to massive points last night to basic give your team a one nothing lead before this game even start site right you give yourself a little bit of a cushion i know that the focus was on tonight's game even yesterday which is so interesting because it might be the only time i've ever seen it where it seemed like the coaches are the coach was looking a little bit ahead focusing on this date in what was going on with the goaltender here's how you know something's up when chris butler and alex portraying gelo log the exact same time on ice you know something that you know they're looking ahead and had six shifts in the first period vladimir tarasenko had six shifts in the first period spreading the wealth in this one they were like okay boys we can win this game but save your energy for tomorrow night what's interesting is okay did you think about this at all probably excited i'm sure because you have thought about everything so excited about tonight's game it is a playoff but in the back of my mind i keep thinking the blues were eight seconds away from already being in i guess it felt good to get the response against chicago last night you know ending their regular season at home handing them more brutal loss than i feel like what they handed the blues but still this couldn't have even met you could've played villi who so tonight you could have sat portraying gelo now who knows if they would have done that because these are hockey players they probably wouldn't have wanted that anyway but have defenseman they've got a couple of college kids that i'm sure would have loved to get into this final game but i mean it's it all comes down to this like that is the part that still amazes me from what this team has gone through it's it's shades of last season.

"Pressured the rest of that period once they scored that second goal so you feel a lot better going into the third period but look you gotta convert on that power play i mean if you don't if you miss out on that power play you're going to be in for a big big problem in the third period yeah if you're a team as desperate as the blues are you've got to take advantage of every advantage you get and the power play you know hovering below sixteen percent as it's been for a while now they've got to get back to a simplified power play you go back to the power play when they had some success when tarasenko was hurt ironically they simplify it send send a guy to the net sense let's send to the big body but yeah the silver lining is that as you mentioned they can come back they have comeback they they didn't give up when they went down three two one there are three two and they've got a man advantage for the first what minute fifty one going into the third period let's talk about somewhat the blues did well after going down three one the second half of that second patrick bergelin boy is he had an i stretch here late in the season some pressure in the offensive zone all started vladimir tarasenko for check eventually cut it back to one game into the slot the bergelin shot on save is made steed w twos zofar circle ended up for the deflection again on bergelin that one's high here's brasi act the bergelin bergelin shoot only twenty three two games burglaries fourteenth from bronze eac get aboard at.

"The high of the blues to last victories but if you look at the last twelve games and you look at swertz and shannon tarasenko they've put up twenty one points now the three teams the blues chasing three of the team's colorado minnesota dallas their top lines have put up twice that number is this something that the blues need to be concerned about well i i don't know that you need to be concerned about it i think it just needs to be realistic but that's what it is you know this is not a team that's going to be that you should count on averaging three or four goals a game as a matter of fact that they've got to find a way when five four hockey games in their final ten games that's not gonna go for it this is a team has won top line and of course there sink was out of the lineup for the last game a game in two thirds i what i think is you have to accept the reality of what it is it's going to take terrific performances in goal and you wanted to have to play very sound defensive hockey now that doesn't mean the defense that could play sound defensive hockey that means everybody go forward secondplace sound defensive hockey as well and you have to basically go into mentality that we're going to win games want nothing but two to one if if absolutely be but that to me is the style of play with this team's gonna have to have and here's why you have a top line of teams are able to the key on you don't have a lot of stuff behind it so whether it's alexander vladimir tarasenko on that top line you know the news is solid of a line is i think steve conversely could be broad yak is a is a bester third line center as we've seen the last night of the blues your fourth line center and and you know and patrick burke when they are now in the national hockey league so you essentially have a top line and then you have a couple of third blinds and a fourth line or three lines or one third line or two four lines with really even make the experience level and how.
