You Don't Raise Taxes During a Recession, but Joe Manchin Did

"Question they went after Joe Manchin and his family big time. Big time. And it was a complete bait and switch. And Mitch McConnell is reportedly furious. After Joe Manchin promised, Mitch McConnell, he was not going to be on board with this debacle with this albatross around Americans next. Again, you don't raise taxes in a recession. That's why they are so stupidly trying to pretend it's not a recession. We are absolutely in a recession. Inflation is strangling the American consumer. People are struggling. North southeastern west. And Joe Manchin wants to raise taxes on west virginians and the coal industry? Are you kidding me? They got to him. And he caved. And the texture on the pure talk text line is correct. I was wrong. In hoping that and believing that Joe Manchin was going to honor his word and be true to his constituents, Democrats are going to Democrat. You know, hey, pay attention Republicans. This is how they roll.

Sen. Joe Manchin Is Concerned Over Inflation With 'Build Back Better' Bill

"According to statements from senator Joe Manchin he has significant concerns about the bill further driving and inflationary spiral which respected economists identified as a likely outcome if it were to pass Of no the congressional budget offices state of the plan would have $3 trillion to the federal debt over the next ten years Senator Manchin understands that inflation is the cruelest tax And the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce has said that businesses in the state are being crushed by inflation And that yes this would add to inflation No doubt about it The inflation that you and I are dealing with but everybody's dealing with the west virginians are dealing with too So the point being what a lost art for somebody to stand up and say I'm going to do what's best for my state I'm going to do what's best for my people that elected me and sent me to Washington What a lost art that is

West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Strongly Supports Sen. Joe Manchin's Stance

"The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce came out in strong support of senator Joe Manchin's declaration He will not support the build back better act They said recent polling reveals a large majority of West Virginia voters oppose certain aspects of the bill And the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce has identified the plan as a tax regulate and spend plan And they did a town how they did town hall meetings Tell the town halls with thousands of west virginians who had the opportunity to speak and ask questions and they said not one person who spoke Want to build back better to pass not one West Virginia chamber president Steve Roberts said quote senator Manchin has made the best possible decision for our state and nation The bill specifically hurts our West Virginia energy production and pointedly raises taxes on natural gas which is vital to our well-being And it's an important ingredient in many manufacturing processes The Bill favorite out of state auto and truck manufacturers and hurt our own in state producers It seriously undermined our child care services and specifically negatively targeted the church based providers who gave us 53% of our nation's child care services Now I want you to contrast that with what one of the senators from a state of Pennsylvania did The lesser Casey bob Casey which sleepy Casey did and this guy is always asleep Is he supported this bill even though the very things that hurt West Virginia hurt Pennsylvania too I mean think about it The bill this bill build back better hurts West Virginia's energy production raising taxes on natural gas Does the same thing in Pennsylvania and yet Casey was for it Why Because he's not an advocate for Pennsylvania He's an advocate for the Democrats He's an advocate for liberalism progressivism And what his party wants he's not an advocate for his state If he was he'd be

And then this morning's punchbowl news, it's mansion time. I love that. Headline. Jake, do you get credit for that or one of your colleagues get credit for that? Well, I'll take you a little bit behind the scene to you. I wanted to do its manch time. But John bresnahan, my colleagues that we had to say mansion because I guess we're adults, then we can't we can't shortcut somebody's name like that. So anyway, yes. I'll take some, I'll take some credit for it. So it's a joint. Okay, well, it is mansion time. And over your old colleagues at Politico, put out the Remington research group study that shows the build back better act is well known in West Virginia, 63% know a lot 62% know a lot about it. It is strongly opposed by 53% of west virginians. Someone opposed by 6%. It's so unpopular that Joe Manchin take a look at, was this commissioned by Republicans to get Joe Manchin's attention? I haven't seen that, but that doesn't mean anything. I will say, I believe, and so we kind of laid this up this morning, but this is based off of conversations I've had the last 24 hours. There's two competing things, I think. And they're actually in complete conflict with each other. The first is what you just said, which is it seems to me at this point sitting here in December 13th and 7 a.m. that I can't imagine how he votes for this thing. I just can't. He's raised so many oppositions. He has not commented yet on the inflation report, which came out last week, which showed the highest inflation in 40 years. So how the hell could you vote for this? That's number one. The other thing I think is and this is what some people have told me is that he's going to vote for this at some point. He might as well do it now. I don't understand. So I get that. If he's going to vote for this, there's no time better than now. But listen, I completely, I'm completely in the dark here. We're very much looking forward to talk to him today. We will probably talk to him today. And everything it's time for him to figure out whether he could vote for this thing now. And if he can't, humor is going to have to move on, because he's the only thing that

Virginia's Suzanne Youngkin Is Glenn's Secret Weapon

"Virginia is not going the way of California. It did not fall off the blue cliff. Last night is turnout surged across the Commonwealth. I was texting with friends in my old state of California saying please, please please don't become California. And in fact, Lennon, embraced a new model. Be competent, be courageous. Big candid with voters. Be calm. Most of all, be a constitutional conservative. Glenn junkin was and he won. Suzanne junkin is his little known but very effective weapon. I met susanne at my early voting polling place when I went weeks before the election to vote and she was out there working the polls. Here she is last night Suzanne young and the new First Lady elect of Virginia. I love you, like, look at all these women. You all were amazing. Incredible. Incredible. It has been the highest honor to spend these last months, traveling around this Commonwealth. And meeting virginians. You welcomed me in your homes, you welcomed me in your parks, you welcomed me in your houses of worship, you were the most kind hospitable industrious, dedicated, wise, thinking, caring and beautiful people to me and I am forever grateful. I do want to give a shout out to the more than 27 thousand women. That were part of women for Glenn. Incredible. Incredible. You inspired me and sustained me and you girls rock.

"America, the public launch of the Salem news channel. Is underway that Salem news channel is available for download in the App Store and you can watch us. Maybe I'll get Josh crash hour to start skyping in Josh. Well, you do that on a Monday morning at 8 51 in the Washington D.C. area. Yeah, it'd be glad to let the help out. You know, everyone is using Skype these days for TV and stuff. So it's radio and TV are kind of converging, I think. It's all one platform. It's called over the top broadcasting. And now everyone with a studio can also get broadcast quality cameras in there and so people will be watching someone start skyping you next week. Josh, you are a nonpartisan but very accurate political reporter give us your summary that the national journal readers and your followers on Twitter and hotline Josh will be getting about the Virginia good material rates. All you got to do is be on the campaign trail, these final couple of weeks and see the different engagement from both of the parties and both the candidates. I was at Springfield, a very blue part of Northern Virginia over the weekend where there are about 400 people Republicans independents rallying pretty enthusiastically for a young kid campaign event. You don't see that very often. And this neck of the Woods, the fact that glennon was campaigning in Alexandria, which as you know to is one of the bluest parts of the state over the weekend, that shows you that he's feeling confident that they're trying to not just get out Republicans that they think that they can pick up some Democrats. Certainly went over independence pretty pretty by a pretty healthy margin. Macaulay, his campaign events have been more sparsely attended. Enthusiasm that I think my call is expected hasn't been there publicly at least. They're getting a lot of the I think the more traditional liberal turnout in the early vote, but they're very worried about African American that turnout. That's the big concern. It's not showing up in the early vote. They're going to need a big black turnout on election day to really make up the very real enthusiasm on the Republican side. Josh, I'm going to come back to that in a second. I went to the Alexandria rally with my wife because I wanted to see how many people would actually get up at 7 30 in the morning for a Republican candidate in an off year. And there were hundreds and hundreds of people. I expected to be able to go over and say hello to glencoe and no way. I mean, it was just hundreds and hundreds of people in old town at market square. That is the bluest blue dot in Virginia, isn't it? Yeah, 80% of Alexandria voters voted for Joe Biden just last year. So you would not see a Republican show their face and Alexandria recent elections. Because it doesn't make sense unless unless you're really building a coalition that's not just getting Republicans and independents, but even even peeling off some of those moderate Democrats. Let me show you the education. Yeah, they don't even bother to run for mayor. There is no Republican. It's like New York City. And Glenn young can drawing that crowd quite the tell. Let me ask you about education, Josh crash hour because Terry went on with chuck Todd yesterday and chuck did a good job, but Terry is just tone deaf. Let me play for you. Number one cut number 5 on meet the press yesterday. But chuck, we have a great school system in Virginia. Dorothy and I have raised our 5 children. Of course, parents are involved in. Let me play you cut 6. Be left the hands with parents who should be left to the school boards and others who do this every single day and focus on it. They would argue that everybody clapped when I said it. Everybody did not clap when he said what he said, and his children went to private school Josh. Does anyone get fooled by that now? Yeah, I saw them a call with interview with chalk. And the thing that struck me is that mccaul hasn't changed his talking points for months, even though this issue of education and the curriculum standards, school closures last year, clearly have been a major factor in Y one young kid is now got the late momentum in this race. He still same critical race theory, the racist dog whistle. He needs to take a page from the Clinton playbook and say, I feel your pain. I may not agree with you on education with everything, but I understand the parental frustrations that are taking place. And it's not just a Republican thing. It's in a lot of voters independence Democrats too are frustrated with the Josh. I would have to stand by having adaptive messages. It's politically tone down. It's completely turned out. I would have expected him to arrange a sister souljah moment, where he could rebuke the CRT. I would have expected him to come out for Thomas Jefferson high school and maintaining its rigorous entrance standards as opposed to adopting an equity based admissions criteria. Do you think anyone in Virginia isn't aware that CRT is in the water everywhere? Anyone who's been paying attention. I mean, the whatever the sort of word mcauliffe and certainly Democrats are saying, critical race area is not taught in the classroom, but there's been plenty in plenty of evidence reporting being done by all kinds of mainstream and conservative sources showing how the curriculum has changed, showing how teachers are politicizing classrooms and a lot of public schools. It certainly creeping in and parents know, but in Paris, though they're on the front lines, and that's why you see the movement the polling in The Washington Post and Fox polls show parents of K to 12 kids swinging pretty dramatically towards the Republican junk in this race. That's not a coincidence. You know, you're not very dramatic. Well, loud county voted 25 points for Biden in the last year's election. That's the hotbed of the education wars. The young and campaign thinks they can win will happen county. That gives you a sense. These are not just Republican voters. These are Biden voters that are being really dissatisfied about the state of the educational system. I hope the networks are out like you have been out Josh crash hour following the actual turnout. Glenn has rallies across the state today. I don't even know if Terry McCauley's going out on the road. It's so dispiriting, not to have anyone show up. Glenn young came with the momentum. I'll be back tomorrow on election day. Thank you, Josh crash. Thank you, Adam and Ben, thank you generalissimo. Thank you to the new viewers of the Salem news channel. GOP Voters See Youngkin as Chance to Reverse Party Course

"Morning. Good morning, mister young, and good to have you back. Good morning, you. How are you? Good. Your voice, I went down with the fetching misses Hewitt to listen to you on Saturday morning. We were surprised that there are a thousand Republicans and old town period. They all showed up, but I heard your voice and my wife turned to me, said I've heard your voice that way. You've been talking too much. So I gather, you've got crowds everywhere you're going according to The New York Times. Cue the crowds have been huge everywhere we're going. And yes, we've done 50 events in the last ten days. Wow. And I'm not going through adolescence again. But we're working every day to keep everything together. Yeah, Glenn young and if you're finishing with thousands of people at every rally according to The New York Times and poor old Terry mcauliffe, can't get ten people in a room. What's that tell you about this race? Well, we got huge momentum. It's really fun to see everybody come together across Virginia. And here what's been most amazing is it's Republicans, it's Democrats, it's independence. It's folks from all walks of life. I mean, the polls show it, we're winning. We're winning independents by double digits every event we have. I have people streaming in saying glad we're Democrats. We've never voted for a Republican before. We're voting for you. We've been in the Latino vote. We've been endorsed by organizations that have never endorsed Republicans before the Hampton roads black caucus. It is so great to see unity. It's so great to see everybody coming together and the momentum is huge. And you're right, that event announced that Andrea was something else. I thought there'd be 25 or 50 people. We had to code it on. And there were so many people. I thought I was going to say hi to you. Not a chance. There was a CF people and people. This is like the middle of New York City in Virginia. You can't you can't expect the Republican to barnstorm in Alexandria two days before an election. But Glenn young did. Yeah, and we're done. We just finished a big swing through southwest Virginia the crowds were huge. There's a red sign everywhere. It is really, really fun to watch this happen. You know, you it's no longer a campaign. It's a movement. It's a movement being led by parents. It's a movement being led by virginians and on this ballot on one side of it is Terry mcauliffe and his big government control and his desire to have parents separated from their children by government and on the other side as Virginia. In my name, but it's virginians and it is so so awesome to watch this

"And you know we've seen this in a fairfax county the biggest county in Virginia We see this the state Education department just issued much of guidance with some of the most radical authors radical books imaginal You have Terry McCullough saying critical race theory is a racist dog whistle Well that racist dog whistle is coming from a Democrat administration isn't it It is It has been by the way market The bill that carry vetoes That bill which would give parents just full transparency on what's being taught So if there was something unacceptable to a parent they could ask for a replacement That bill was supported by 20 Democrats 18 Democrats 14 of which were part of the Virginia black caucus I mean so Jerry mcauliffe is calling that members of the 5 caucus racist This is how out of bounds he is right now as he watches the sun setting on his 43 year political career and oh by the way the less liberal progressive Democrats see the sun setting on their agenda Government control is being rejected in Virginia and we're doing it not only on behalf of virginians that on behalf of the whole

Virginia Gubernatorial Candidate Glenn Youngkin Isn't Worried About Terry McAuliffe's Smear Campaign

"You know I've noticed you've tried to run and have mostly run a very very positive campaign in your opponent keeps running these negative negative head ads on You're trying to create you into something that you're actually not You think that's going to work No I don't And in fact virginians recognize this clearly At the end of the day Terry mcauliffe versus Glenn young Kim he's not gonna win And so he's doing everything he can to just run against a made up candidate and he's bringing everybody who's ever held office or even ran and lost as a Democrat across America in to try to get the spotlight off of his failed record And the fact is virginians are rejecting his big government control approach I mean he's telling parents he doesn't want them involved in their kids education He's going to try to force everybody to join the union He wants people to get fired for not getting the vaccine and he doesn't want him to collect unemployment I mean this is just absolutely big government control against individual freedom in Virginia right now And what is his tax plan Is tax plans to raise taxes It's what he does I mean look look look what his team is doing I mean he's The Godfather of the modern Democratic Party And look what they're doing they're tax and spend recklessly and he's going to do the same thing in Virginia He's got a plan that will cause Virginia $16 billion 5000 for about Virginia family We're going to bring taxes down in Virginia because we know it belongs to virginians It's not Terry McCauley's money The people's money and I'm going to give it back

Terry McAuliffe Struggles to Shore up Democrat Base

"We've got a couple of minutes here to talk about what's going on in the gubernatorial race in Virginia, where Glen youngkin is going up against former governor Terry mcauliffe and, you know, this is an interesting race. It's remained close. I intending to think I'm a little optimistic about this, but of course, Virginia is a fairly blue state these days. Cam you're a virginian. What's going on there? It does young can have a chance here. Yes, I think you can absolutely have this chance. I think the Democrats are very, very concerned. As you say, Virginia has been trending blue, but this is about as optimal a scenario for Republicans as you can find. Democrats have nominated. I think a pretty unpopular guy and certainly a very uninspiring candidate who is not being helped by Joe Biden is dragging him down. Like all of even said that by design popular in Virginia and yet Biden is going to be coming to campaign with Terry mccoll between now and election day. But, you know, Miguel has also bringing in Barack Obama. He's bringing in Stacey Abrams to campaign for him Ed, which tells me that was less than three weeks now before election day. McCollum is still worried about shoring up his base, he's not even hoping right now to try to attract those moderate or independent voters. He's still trying to get black Democrats in Virginia to show up and vote for him because there's a third party candidate on the ballot for instance blanding. Who is running as deliberation party candidates is the first black female to be on the ballot for governor in Virginia. She is very strongly connected to the social justice movement. She's running to the call of left. And I think the mcauliffe is absolutely terrified that she's been able to peel away three four maybe even 5% of the vote both that would have gone to him. And that may be enough, along with what I think has been a pretty good campaign run by when young that might be enough to put junk in an office.

"Two Virginians and an immigrant walk into a room diametrically opposed foes. They emerge with a compromise having opened doors that were previously closed. This is a huge deal for Hamilton fans, especially the ones like me, who only know the soundtrack. But there's something else I want to ask you about. When this came out, it was so important for black and brown people in this country. It was so vital to see this story told by the cast. That was there and we are in a moment now where we find ourselves as a country discussing the issues of equity and inclusion, and I'm wondering about your thoughts about where you think Hamilton fits in 244 years after the declaration of independence on a month into sustained protest, calling for racial justice Lin Manuel Yeah. I mean, I think that what's weird about this show because it brushes against the origins of this country, And if there's any thesis about it, it's everything that's passed his present. The contradictions that were present in the founding the moment after those words, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness were written and the ways in which we fall short of that are still present. It always feels resident in the time it's in in the Obama era, some felt it was hopeful in the trump era. Some felt it was defiant. And in this moment right now what I'm seeing is the language of revolution everywhere and so the language of Revolution present In this show from 244 years ago, is being felt again in this different way by the black and brown future of this country. Reckoning with what we want the future of this country to be going forward. So those lyrics of this is not a moment. It's the movement. I'm past patiently waiting those hit differently and resonate in a different way as a result on DH, so it's always interesting sort of where it lands. But that's that's where its landing for me there's a There's a moment in a song called Farmer Refuted Where you've Got Someone Who's trying to stop. The protests literally did not the rabble who scream revolution. They have not your interest at art and Hamilton is yelling over him. He'd have you all unravel..

"In may a mass shooting in Virginia beach killed twelve people afterwards governor Ralph nor some a Democrat convened a special session of the state legislature he had hoped to pass gun control measures what he called common sense legislation but Republicans were in control they shelled the bills and ended the special session after just ninety minutes fast forward to this week I have one question for you do you like the color blue I'm here to officially declare today November the fifth two thousand nineteen that Virginia is the first truly broken Democrats will take control of the legislature in January governor north them joins me now from the governor's office in Richmond governor north some welcome back to All Things Considered thanks so much for having me all you when I last spoke shortly after that awful day in Virginia beach on the shooting you introduced eight measures then we don't have time to check through all of them but do they have to do is background checks with Regis lag laws with bands or will you be pushing for that same agenda this time arm or even more absolutely I will start with those eight pieces of what what I call common sense gun legislation they have been proven to to save lives and that's what we want to do in Virginia so we will start with those pieces of legislation I'm sure there will be others that will be introduced I think they will be well that it in both the house and the Senate and you know depending on what gets to my desk I'll certainly consider those and if we feel that they'll make Virginia safer will move forward with them as well is your sense that any Republican minds have been changed on this issue do do you have any hope of by and from Republican lawmakers it's an interesting question and you know we we were inundated with commercials and and mailers during the campaign and so some of the Republicans ran on common sense gun legislation so I look forward to seeing their response I think that they listen to voters I know they do and seeing how this election went on Tuesday I I hope that they'll be at the table they should be there shouldn't be a partisan issue ask about one specific change you advocated before and it sounds like it's on your list an assault weapons ban yes what is your plan for assault weapons currently owned by Virginians that are already out there were you confiscate them no ma'am not at this stage what we're looking at the band in the sales of assault weapons will certainly you know again that these pieces of legislation but that that would be what we would start with a few would propose a ban on sales going forward absolutely okay in terms of push back that you received last time I'm curious about one other thing and whether it has changed there's been a lot of reporting on the entering and their leadership challenges and funding challenges is your sense that there is as much energy and the pro gun rights lobby in your state as there was I don't know back in may or a year ago you know that that certainly the the advocacy is still out there but you know I think that the the you know for Virginians to to experience what happened in our backyard on Memorial Day weekend you're not I think the the influence of the NRA is specially in Virginia has has weekend and yeah yes ma'am and I think we'll continue to see that but their pockets are deep and so is their influence particularly in the southern state like Virginia are you confident that you can overcome the power of that lobby and actually get eight of legislation through the stars I hate him because the you know the Virginian spoke on on Tuesday and that's that's the most powerful thing out there is is their vote and and they did that despite the money that the NRA poured into to Virginia and can you get this done if you don't get any Republican by and are the votes there yes ma'am they are I don't know of any Democrats that that would be opposed to these eight pieces of common sense legislation that we we have proposed in the past and we would do again in January last thing as you speak to voters in Virginia what do they tell you what is your sense of to what extent the gun issue was mobilizing people at the polls this week it was a a large factor and you know I I I saw that the tragedy that we had in in Virginia and then the Republicans response when I brought them back to Richmond to just spend less than ninety minutes talking about common sense gun legislation that that was a a large factor and people have said enough is enough and you know we've been talking about these things but now we have the opportunity to take action and that's what we intend to do in January may I point out you still sound kind of bitter about that less than ninety minutes are you hand over her determined to reach across the aisle and try to get Republicans on board this time around I will not I think probably folks know of my history I I served in the United States Army I took care wounded soldiers I'm also a a pediatrician so I've seen what happens when toddlers pick up loaded farms on the you know on the bedside table so have heard enough well intended people say that our thoughts and prayers are with these families but now it's time for legislators for our leaders to come to Richmond and take votes and pass laws and that's what I expect will happen in in January governor thank you thank you so much for having it's always good talking to you and your that's rough north some he is the governor of Virginia.

"Party demands. That only intensified after the governor bizarrely changed his explanation about that racist photo from his nineteen Eighty-four medical school yearbook page now north insists he's not in the photo. Which depicts someone in black face next to a person dressed in Ku Klux Klan roads. I finally had a chance to sit down and look at the photograph in detail. It's definitely not me. I can tell by looking at it. That was a total contradiction of what north I'm headed midday just hours before when he said he was quote deeply sorry for the decision. I made to appear as I did in this photo unquote, north did reveal yesterday, his vivid memory of wearing black face on a different occasion that year at a dance contest where he dressed as Michael Jackson and colored his face with shoe polish marking the first time in American political history that a politician tempted to explain his innocence regarding one racist black face incidents by pointing to another one that he recalled participating in north and is now asking for the opportunity to earn Virginians forgiveness. Something the states top Democrats, including both senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine former governor wilder and McAuliffe the current state attorney general and the entire democratic caucus. So it was not possible. Joining me now is former Virginia governor. Terry McAuliffe, north and west as Lieutenant governor and governor McAuliffe called for north resignation on Friday, governor north of governor McCall. Thanks so much for joining us north is now saying it's not him in the photo z believe him. It doesn't really matter. What I'd leave or anyone else believes when this first came out Friday afternoon. I in Jake when you invited me on the show. I my wildest dreams never thought you, and I would be having this conversation. So in the photo came out Friday afternoon. What was sent to me? I said there is absolutely no way that Ralph Northam is in this picture and then Friday evening, it came out that Ralph indeed was he said he was in the picture that point for me morally, the only right thing to do. And it was hard. I called Ralph on Friday night. It was one of the hardest things I had to do was mangled tenant governor we were closely together, we did so many great things working together for the candle wealth of Virginia. Once they picture where the black face and the clansman came out. There is no way you can continue to be the governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. We have had a horrible and sorted past. As it relates to race relations. We worked very hard Ralph now over the last five years and move the state forward. If you remember nineteen o to state Senator said that I'm putting a felon disenfranchisement our constitution quote to eliminate the Durkee from being a political factor in Virginia. I was proud to one hundred fourteen years later, give those felons or writes back, but we've worked hard in Virginia. So this is I gotta tell you. It's heartbreaking. It is been more the worst forty eight hours, but rigidities to come out of this stronger. I can't sit here and pretend in the steps of those individuals who had been offended by those photos. Well, let me ask you a can't if it's not him in the photo. Which is what he's saying? Why do you still think he should resign? Well, I he said it was Friday night. And if it wasn't him in the photo, he should have said that on Friday. I have no idea what was going on in the governor's office on Friday. I just if you're not in instinctively, you know, if you put black paint on your face, you know, if you put a hood, and so if it isn't you you come out with mmediately and say, this is not me. So I can't understand what's going on. But I do know this. Ralph is a good moral decent man and may have made mistakes in his past. We all have made mistakes. Ralph will do the right thing for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He will put Virginia. I and I think that will happen relatively soon. He's worked hard thanks to routes efforts. We get Medicaid expansion gun. We have to move on. You cannot be the moral leader. I mean, we are now when crossover in Virginia where the legislation goes from the house and Senate back and forth. I can remember as governor. This is your busiest time right working with your legislators to pass bills kill bills. I mean, you've got to work as one unit to move your Commonwealth forward energy. He's just not going to have that ability to do it. The head of the black caucus yesterday said if he doesn't resign. They'll move to remove themselves from the legislature. So we just need to put this behind us. We need to move forward. So and that's what we have to do. So when you say, you think is going to do the right thing. You mean? He's going to resign. You want him to resign? Do you agree with the head of the Blackhawks that he should be removed from office? If he does not resign. I don't Ralph very well. It will not come to that. And it Ralph is watching us today. I know how much he loves this Commonwealth of Virginia. And you've got to make the right decision. You've got to make the right moral decision. We have to bring people together we've had a horrible history in Virginia. He and I work together. And you know, he chaired the child cabinet than I formed with my wife to feed needy children. He's done so many great things it's not about Ralph anymore. This is about who we are as Virginia's and how we move forward. So he's going to do the right thing. I know in his heart. He's going to do the right thing. I want you to watch a clip from yesterday's press conference a question for governor north them after he admitted that he did wear black face. But not in that photo. He did what he wore black face. As part of a Michael Jackson cost him for a dance competition in San Antonio in nineteen Eighty-four, take a look. My wife says inappropriate.
