Carl bonet announced. He was fired from a new station in michigan's upper peninsula. W ell you see. Tv six after refusing a cove nineteen vaccine bone acts spent thirty three years at the station. The station's parent company great television imposed a vaccine mandate for employees. That went into effect last week. He wrote a farewell post viewers on facebook writing. Today it is with a heavy heart. I announced after over thirty three years. I'm no longer employed at tv six. Hi i'm leaving six. Because the station's corporate owner gray television has mandated vaccination against cove nineteen for anyone entering a property owned by the company. Since i chose not to take one of the shots. I was fired. I have decided against the vaccine option. First and foremost because the manufacturers of these injections have absolutely no liability if injury or death occurs after the shot. I asked myself what i breaks for my vehicle. If the brake company had no liability of the brakes failed no so i will certainly not allow a medicine in my body from a company. That does not take a chance. I'm sorry for from a company that does not stand behind his product. Now if the risk of death from cova would be significant. I might take a chance and get injected however for a normally healthy adult not house in her in a nursing home and not suffering from serious cuomo co morbidity is the chance of surviving covert is well over ninety nine percent. I will take the chance and go without a shot. I choose not to risk serious side effects. The abrogation of our liberty and freedom under the guise of a pandemic is very disturbing to me. Hopefully whether you lean right or left you're concerned about what occurred the last year and a half. I just wanted to go about my business live-and-let-live and keep my mouth shut but this act by the federal government through corporate america has brought me to a crossroads roads our way of life our freedom and liberty is collapsing before our eyes. Many of you have served in the us military or you know friends relatives and family members who have served. It is a strong tradition here in the. Up that's upper peninsula. They have served in some have given their limbs and even their lives to preserve our freedom and liberty. It's time to wake up to. What is occurring here in america across the world. We are being bludgeoned with fear. I believe in an effort to control us. Imminent doctors virologist epidemiologists who post facts contradicting. The official accepted marion. Narrative regarding covert are being censored. Some are losing their jobs. It's time to honor those who served for me. I honor them by saying enough. I have the right to choose. We all do if we do nothing. We lose that right first year of law school you learn that rights are not self protecting and he who sits on them loses them. If you are wrong you must prosecute that case if you enter into a contract with another party and they do not perform and you suffer damages because of it. You're not automatically pay those damages by the offending party. You have to bring a case you have to hire a lawyer and prosecute your case you have to bring your case. Take it to a court and win in court and if you don't then you suffer the loss so every time you suffer the loss and do nothing about it you encourage you embolden those who would do this. You embolden those. Who would do this to you and that is exactly what's happened. New york's governor who replaced andrew. Cuomo has gone full blown lip tart signing a new law effectively outlawing the sale of gas-powered vehicles and thirteen years. How do they get away with this. Well they've already locked people down. They've already forced to mask upon them and they're crying children. They shut down their businesses. You see once. They've overstepped their bounds to that extent. There's no stopping them. There has to be a line in the stand in the sand. And when you don't draw one then you suffer then you suffer a little bit of good news. I've been holding onto this story. Virginia oliver was eight years old when her father taught her. "And despite the recent injury, her doctors saying, Please stay home. She has no intention of stopping, and Max said if he wanted to stop, Mom wouldn't let him. She doesn't think it's that big of a deal. She's been doing it since she was seven or eight, which was before the Great Depression. Oh, my goodness. I saw this story. And it said that this woman what's her name to find her name? Jinya, Virginia, Oliver. Has been lobster fishing for nearly a century, and I'm like, Well, no, I mean she's been alive for a century, which has been lobster fishing and then sure enough, it says she started when she was eight years old. In the late twenties. She has nearly been in a lobster boat in Maine, where it's not exactly the sun and fun of the Pacific Coast. For nearly 100 years. She's been doing the same job in Maine. Cold, windy, blustery, freezing main for nearly a century, doing the same job. I am. I am telling you this right now. If you ever hear me complain about this job, smack me with a glove hit me over the head with a mallet do something, because when I hear about these old people That are still clucking. Still ticket still trucking at 95 98 1 on one. I mean, I'm like, What could I ever have to complain about this woman is out there fighting the elements for a century on a lobster boat. I walk into a studio make fun of what more is eight over the weekend of football Sunday. I couldn't never, ever complain ever, ever, ever ever complained, and it is something that I always bristle at because my grandmother was A cleaning woman at the Empire State Building for her entire life. She worked overnights. So you know she would go there at night work overnight. Obviously, when cleaning people work and then come home and raise four Children, and she never ever complained she retired, and then she would Be, you know, like, raking leaves in our yard and like doing dishes and like painting cabinets and like Grandma, you don't have to work all the time. She loved it, but she was She was from the old school. She was She was an immigrant, and she just was absolutely never complained. Just always work. And so I always bristle when people like in our industry that You know, they got to wake up early. They had to stay late. They got to work on Saturdays. Lego. My God, They're the bosses are driving me crazy like you have no idea what real work actually is, But this this is real. Lobster boat one on one, and she has no plans to retire in Maine. I'm sorry, that's a walk off more as Mike drop right there. She's wonderful. And if my math is correct, which, oftentimes it's wrong, she started this endeavor as a lobster boat, Fisher woman. The around the year Mickey Mantle was born. I just think your idea. Yeah, she's been doing this and you know what? Shame on the sun for even saying she would let him retire. Why should she retired? Why should anybody force her out? If she is one of one and still getting stitches, and she's fine and toughing it out. You know, this is what drives are getting on that boat every day. Good for her. Good for her good for her. This is great. You know if you find something that you love this is so cliche, but it's so true. If you find something you love you never work a day in your life. And she has found something she loves, so she doesn't feel like it's working. It's just what she does and what she loves. She started lobster fishing before television. God bless She's before we ate lobster sport before lobster was a delicacy. She was probably fishing them for prisoners. Yes, Somebody eat these damn things. I'm big Somebody meeting you, though. "And if he's putting up, you know the numbers that I would expect with Hispanics in Texas, plus these big gains in diverse but mostly white suburbs. That should put him in striking distance. Of course, what happened is the flip side. The Poles were right about those Hispanic voters, and they overstated the extent of those suburban gains. So I was very wrong in part because of those stories that I read and told myself, okay. All right. Apology accepted thiss via Nelson. Can you expand on that a little bit a Democrat. Some Democrats on better work was begging Joe Biden to spend time in Texas. And he didn't really agree to do that. And maybe he knew something that the others missed. But I guess Democrats had hoped or at least some Democrats had hoped for Texas. Of course, it didn't turn out that way. Also for Florida, So why is it that these two states are You know, pretty stubbornly conservative, Whereas you have a state like Georgia Also, you know, bright red, but appears to be changing. Well, it's demographic. I've been looking for someone who spent 25 years of her life as a Republican, you know whether it's an attorney or working on election law for Bush's campaign, that center or whatever it wass and screaming at the wind for decades that this day of reckoning was coming about demographics. I think that's where the conversation has to began. Because Texas and Florida, of course, have more Latino populations have African Americans, but What really, I think is is the announcement for the Republicans going forward is, you know we probably are going to top out with black voters and, you know, level of like Jason said 11, 12% and left something dramatically changes. So Latinos is where the growth is. And I think for Biden and then one of the reasons he didn't go to Texas, and I wouldn't have either, frankly. Is because Texas like Virginia, Oliver, Virginia, Virginia, you remember mountain used to be reliably rid. And then it became purple when Obama was president. But it was always a battleground state. Hillary Clinton carried it in 2016, but only by five points with Tim Kaine on the ticket. Who's one of our senators here? So the thing is, it is now a blue state. So it takes time. And I think the Texas and Georgia I think Georgia will become a purple state. Much more quickly. Texas is on its way. I don't know about Florida, Florida's pretty red. And although there seems to be a controversy now over the ballots that didn't get there, the judge Sullivan's upset about you know what the Postal Service to 27,000 about Vera It looks like Florida's still pretty red. Right. So I think that there are movement and some of these states like North Carolina is another one. Nor come on is really purple. Right? And so what's gonna happen is there's more African Americans and more people color in those suburban white women become more dominant. An engagement and running for office, etcetera. That's when you begin to see the winds of change, and I just something Texas there yet, But I think Texas give Texas you know. Two more cycles in Texas is probably there. We'll look at Nevada for a second if you wouldn't mind because that it was AH state that went pretty handily for Hillary Clinton, and now it's very tight between the two between Trump and Biden. And the big Latino population there. So what do you think is happening in Nevada? Well, we lost Sofia. So let me put that question to you, Josh, and then we'll go to break. So I I wanna wait to comment on Nevada because there's a substantial amount of votes that remains to be counted there in Nevada's one of these states where the waves of the votes come in, and they're different from each other. Because Democrats and Republicans vote in different ways. Democrats sent their ballots in earlier this year. In some cases, Republicans were more likely to vote in person on election Day. We're still waiting on the count of some of those mail ballots in Nevada. So I don't think we know yet exactly what Ah Ah, Hilary, And I think one Nevada by two points back in 2016, So I don't think we know Biden's ahead by a point in the count now, but that could grow so I, but this has been one of the big questions. It looks like Arizona. Biden has really big improvement over Clinton, even if the margin in Arizona continues to narrow. Ah, And so that's a heavily Latino state, where Biden has been able to continue making those gains. You didn't see that in Florida. You didn't see that, at least in South Texas. Maybe you saw it in other parts of Texas. So I think part of the question was Would would Nevada behave like Arizona or Nevada? Because it's a state where fewer people have college educations? Because the industry mix is different than it is in Arizona? Is that somewhere where Trump could make some of those sort of pan Working class gains that you saw in other parts of the country because the interesting thing I think about these election results. One interesting thing is the racial polarization of voting in this country has declined significantly under Donald Trump. He did better with black voters. He did better with Hispanic voters. And if Biden is goingto win, which looks like the most likely outcome, it will be because he narrowed trumps advantage with white voters. And so I think that's partly because some of the cultural flashpoints people are voting about are not as much about race anymore. They're about gender and various other things. And it's partly because Trump's message about the economy and people continue to feel good about his handling of the economy. Even as we went into this recession, even as we entered the covert crisis, I think that is a very broadly aimed message that was able to appeal to a lot of groups not so much to two more affluent suburbanites, but to a lot of groups across the different ethnicities in the country. And so that might be a reason. If he did if he did better, and Trump did better in Nevada, relatively to the country. That could be a reason why, Okay, we'll talk about that more coming up. We're going to take a quick break. We're also going to talk about some of the ballot issues. We're going to talk about court issues. We're gonna talk about the Postal Service and what's happening with some ballots that may have not gotten sent to where they should have gotten sent Tio So Jessica and Josh Stick around. We'll have a lot more coming up. Don't go anywhere. Kay Seow. Sponsors include Kim Sing Theatre, a former theater reimagined into.

Why not a lot of bleeping and cursing for sure in grave? I do like that. It's great. I actually like he does a game show that I think is fantastic. But it's a reboot if something isn't it? Yeah. What is it? Jokers jokers might be. Yeah. He's he's hilarious on it. Nobody is crossed over into mainstream quite like, snoop Dogg. Would you have ever thought that fifteen years ago? I remember when I always say this the day that I knew that snoop Dogg had completely sold out was when he was in a video with Katy Perry where it was called California Gurls. Absolutely. She was in the video squirting whipped cream out of her chest. And they were snoop Dogg there in the video. Why wouldn't you want to be in there? Well, I just said is the moment where he was no longer. This was no longer gin and juice. This was no hunger. This was this was pop snoop. Right. This was this was it. You about Landon Collins you remember last year when he was playing injured. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. All right. This is why you'll NFL players like Landon Collins and know, John is gonna make a financial decision here on whether or not they want invest this kind of money into safety. I get all that stuff. But you know, he was on the field when the team was terrible. And he's running around out there injured trying to make place. Right. Yeah. Right. They deem that he wasn't worth eleven million dollars for one year it landed on the line. He also made it very clear he wanted no part of it. Well, of course. Players say that I'm going to hold out until about and told my money starts coming in. He would have come in just like every other player in the same situation if they tagged them, right? So the threat really doesn't mean anything. It's just he would have shown up the training camp when he had to show up the training camp. I don't know. I do a lot of time. See the players side of these things. And I do think that they do not get the best of the CBA for sure especially in the NFL. But Landon Collins is going to be fine. He might want to be a giant might not work out. He's gonna hit the free agent market. He's gonna get plenty of money. Someone's going to pay him a significant amount of money, and he's gonna be all right? And he's still got plenty of years left these young and there's other guys who are debilitating injuries career ending injuries. Who never get two free agency. Don't see a dime. So maybe if you wanted to keep you probably can't keep Landon at that number. If you're gonna keep ally at his number. Right. Yeah. I mean, it's part of what what happens. I don't know really what he's going to get on the open market. But at least they'll have a little bit of security. I think is a million dollars three year deal for your deal something like that. "The good news is I almost have my voice back for the radio show. And for our clients. My wife probably would. Watch prefer if I would have kept my laryngitis going for another couple of weeks. But thankfully, I've been trying to rest it and drink a lot of tea at Honey and hot water. And Honey, we're we're not here to talk about my voice or lack of we are here. We are here to talk about what did you if you have an IRS tax problem week this week of the lovey office? Actually, I have one of the better stories that I can recall on a smaller scale in general, but we're gonna talk about it a second. However, what are the guy who's been around the lovey office for a long time that used to work with the IRS for a very long time is with us once again, Greg, but happy in the house, Greg how did you work at the IRS over thirty two years, and it turned eternity. Maternity know what talk about that happy Valentine's Day because I was telling my wife if feels like just yesterday when we celebrate Valentine's Day on Thursday. And I tell you I really wanna give a shout out to my wife, which I love her to. I love you both by staff we love everybody Levy office is all about trying to be upbeat and perky let's jump in before we go back to Greg for a second. Although let's give out the phone number because I don't keep it out enough. The local phone number is five six one eight six five seventy eight hundred and the toll free eight hundred tax. Levy Levy really is my last day. This is a great story who everybody you really listen up to this one. By the way, if you were driving southbound on ninety five from Palm Beach county into Broward County going let's say from Boca del Rey, down to the airport on the left hand side. You're gonna see a great new billboard Avars. You'll see my face. You'll see the eight hundred number tight of the story the thirteenth which was Wednesday. A gentleman comes into our office on Wednesday. About two thirty to forty five in the afternoon. He left about a half hour. Forty five minutes later we called. There you go a forewarning everyone. If gonna have a couple of cops half hour segment air, we called the IRS it less than an hour from him stepping foot officially I say hiring us. So within an hour of the file being created to the full called made. We were able to call and the IRS was able to abate almost four thousand dollars three thousand nine hundred and change to be specific. Now that's in just under about fifty eight minutes from the start of the file to the IRS agreeing to waive almost four thousand dollars in penalties. I think in the history of our firm that probably one of the fastest penalty abatement that we were able to get I want to be clear. It doesn't always work like that. And actually the settlement he had some unfiled tax returns, but he thought the billboard. So how'd you hear about us on radio online, a TV commercial the billboard a piece of bail? L A referral. How'd you hear about what I like to ask? So I'm publicly saying I really love that. The billboard is working. We like to get the message out there. If you haven't IRS problem, there are solutions there are options that you have a Greg when you were happy I rushed thirty two years. You saw probably a lot of people that needed help. But they didn't have the proper representation is that correct? That's correct. I tried to help them best. I could. But obviously, I was not there Representative right protect the government's interest at the time. But I did try to help them as best. I could well and Greg when you were there there was a lot of times where you would come across. We've talked about this, but power of attorneys CPA's or attorneys that didn't know what they were doing in the tax resolution industry, and they would either not give the client the options that they should be entitled to and you as a IRAs employees, you were really live. Limited. You couldn't advocate for them. You could just do their job. And that's why I think ported in all of our not Virginia Oliver advertising, even in these shows like to make a context driven. So people know that the help exists that'll be a lot of people know that this goes on Greg. Can you shed some light on that that oftentimes you would see power fraternity who the what they were doing? You were a nice guy with a good heart. You were tough. But you were there you were practical, but you were reasonable also is how you approach things, but not all IRS employees take that approach. They're not going to give you the suggestions. Hey, if you're making a voluntary payment and you owe payroll taxes, why not apply that trust fund, not every revenue officer is going to be favorably disposed to the taxpayer to the client. Greg can you elaborate on that a little bit of light from what you've seen out your experience in the private sector? Well, again, we're here to advocate for you. Don't. Expect the IRS to give you a fair. What you consider to be a fair shake every time because she should Irish realize that you don't really know what you're doing. He got into trouble with your taxes. Iris has got a job to do. They got to collect the taxes. Some people are more helpful than others like in a restaurant. Sometimes you get great service. And sometimes you get really crappy service. It all depends upon who's cooking who's serving and what kind of mood everyone's in. What happens that day? Same thing for the IRS. Sometimes you can get great representations. Sometimes you can get really really messed up one. Well, let's let's talk about that you brought about foods. So for Valentine's Day. It was my wife, my son, and my mother-in-law we all went out on Thursday night dinner, and my son orders a Caesar salad at in the Caesar salad. What he got to the end of the Caesar salad that bottom on the plate. There was a very long black hair. So of course, my son who's almost thirteen his dad. Oh my God. I'm so grossed out come on that and. And my wife called over the manager the manager said young man, I'm so sorry. It happens. What could I do? Do you want a piece of chocolate cake? You what what Kremlin? You know? What does what can we do to it will remake the salad? So the dining experience was great right after what was a piece of hair in the food which could have made it a pretty ugly experience come on the end of the world, but the way they handled. It was very nice, very professional. We eat there a lot. Well, surely, go back there a lot and it just happened. So was saying Greg see this, and I'll tell you it's interesting when you first got into the private sector, you probably couldn't fathom you could digest that. There are not people that handle cases. Like you did when you were there at the post to being resolution focused resolution oriented, it's almost as if they're the anti Christ. And they really are in a situation where they don't want to be as helpful as one would take Greg. You come across. That sadly enough now where you have to speak to managers, you have to go to appeal out certain things. In fact, there are the file that we'd like to talk about where a gentleman got assessed trust fund and the revenue officer who Greg you knew it was it was one local to you in Michigan where you work. She had this gentleman about one hundred twenty five thousand dollars trust fund, and he truly wasn't the liable party. He shouldn't have been held liable. And no matter if several people in our office tried to explain this to the revenue officer in a very down worth professional rational boys because we try and take the emotions out of it. Unfortunately, the revenue loss or just did it to listen ended up going to appeals on it. Greg. Can you just explain to everyone listening out there because we've had happened many times over the years where the incorrect person the innocent person gets found liable for what's called trust fund? And it really turns ugly because you have the innocent party that is sometimes tend to. Thousands hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they're not they should be held liable. Claire what of the other former IRS employee that works for me? She had a similar case to this one. And she was able to get that assessment reverse the next week. It was maybe two hundred thousand could've been one hundred thousand but it was up there. I mean, what's the difference? A hundred or two hundred thousand doesn't always work like that. Let's be very clear, but Greg can you explain what happened this situation in this situation? The guy's father was running the business. The guy was an employed there. He was working in the field. He didn't have any of the day to day contact interaction. He was on the signature cards on paper only, but he never actually controlled the finances did anything until one day his father passed away unexpectedly. He was trust into the spotlight. He not taking over the business only to find out the extent of the problems and tax problems that he literally inherited from his father when it came to trust fund taxes. The IRS has the burden of proof to show where your willful and responsible for withholding those taxes. And this case simply because he was an officer. Anything was on the check. Signature cards. They determined that. He was both willful and responsible. We went in and argue that while he might have been responsible on paper. It was paper title only once until the father's passing that he was actually thrust into the spotlight and actually took over the day to day operations of the business. We provided affidavits we'd provided statements. We had two daughter. I and cross RT's and get our ducks in a row, but we did. So and when it came right down to it when the IRS revenue officers still did not want to look at the facts to when we were presenting them, we want to appeal we prevailed in appeals doesn't always happen like that. And like you said, but we fought for in this case, I drove all the way to downtown Detroit and argued face to face with the appeals officer at we prevailed at the end of that day, we won on that issue and the president was abated against that person to him about a quarter of a million dollars. I believe. One forty five or two hundred but it was up there. The point of these stories is to tell people that IRS is not always right? And not only that if you have an IRS tax problem in the civil tax controversy world you have options. So in this case that Greg was explaining this gentleman was assessed. Trust fund, we believe incorrectly that appeal was filed Greg actually physically met face to face appeals office, which by the way, I will tell you that very uncommon most of the IRS that our action that we need to do is via phone via fax. They don't really Email IRS. Does it? The state of Florida goes, by the way, Florida Department of revenue does, but the IRS IRS doesn't typically Email the most of that over the phone. There is a new push just so we can put it out there..
