"Hi, I'm LeVar Burton, and this is LeVar Burton reads. In every episode, I handpick a different piece of short fiction. And I read it to you. Only thing these stories have in common is that I love them. And I hope you will, too. You know, I strive in my life to be a lucid dreamer. To actually practice attempting to influence what I dream to produce a state of dreaming where I am, in fact, aware that I am dreaming so that I can more control the events of the dream and most importantly, how I behave in the cause of those events. Lucid dreaming is fascinating to me because it allows us to experience things that we could never manifest in real life, like flying, right? It also allows our conscious brains to dictate those experiences, which is cool. And now there's even research being done to figure out if lucid dreaming can help us practice skills, train our brains. Like a surgeon could practice performing an operation, right? But it makes me think, should we intrude on our subconscious on our sleeping brains to exert controller to be productive and yet another aspect of our lives? Is it a good or bad idea? To steer our dreams. In any way, in the world of today's story, dreams can be programmed. The main character works as a dream concierge. Her employer designs and implements dreams for clients. For a fee, of course. Mister dawn, how can you be so cruel? Is the work of the writer violet Allen, and it was originally published in the anthology entitled ignorance, is strength, edited by John Joseph Adams Christian and Hugh howey. Violet lives in Chicago, Illinois, and her stories have appeared in liminal stories and in light speed magazine. Her work is very referential. And funny. And dark. I hope you'll enjoy it. Please check out the written content advisory if you are so inclined and if you're ready, let's take that knee breath. And let's begin.

Filmmaker Allen Wolf Discusses Autism and 'The Sound of Violet'

"20% of autistic people have synesthesia. So explain this again because this is just amazing. When you look us up, it's completely fascinating, but basically what's happening is there's just some wiring in the brain. That's a little different. And people with synesthesia experience it in different ways. He looks at colors. He hears sounds. Other people associate colors with numbers. They see automatic numbers in their heads. Other people can be the opposite. They will, they will confuse colors with feelings. I've talked to friends about this, and I'm not joking. I've always associated the number 8 with green. Why? I don't know why. Maybe it's because the first gift I ever got was an $8 bill. No, that can't be it. Seriously, I don't know why, but I have always, you know, there are these bizarre. I mean, we're talking about we're fearfully and wonderfully made. I mean, crazy stuff. But so the name of the young woman who begins in the story as a prostitute and ends up as a non prostitute, and that's your only spoiler alerts there, but. Well, yeah. Who knows what happens? Who knows? Who knows? Where what do we know? What do we know? Only the father knows. Even Jesus doesn't know only the father. But the title of this movie is the sound of violet and violet is in fact the name of this young woman of her. Exactly. Yes, violet like the color. And you know, I think in some ways, Sean, his character is unconditional love toward her. And in some ways, violet represents all of us, where we're all of us are broken in different ways. We're all looking for love and different ways. And he pursues her with his love, it's transformative. But also her love is transformative to him because he's always had trouble connecting with others, picking up social cues. So for the first time that each finds someone that is actually interested in the other and that relationship is what the film is all about.

Filmmaker Allen Wolf Makes Some Noise About 'The Sound of Violet'

"As you know, a lot of times on this program, I have guests who are dear Friends, this is not one of those occasions, Alan welcome. Dear enemies, maybe that's I've had it with you. I've had it with you. I think this interview is over. You're one of those, you're one of those friends. I can only think of one or two other people offhand who as soon as I am talking to you, I just get stupid and silly and I can't stop joking and laughing. And I want to apologize to my audience in advance because this is a very serious conversation. We're here to talk about your film the sound picture. The motion picture. The motion picture, the sound of violet, you've been on the program to talk about it before, but the headline now is that this film that you wrote and directed, I can't believe it is out in digital Blu-ray, like right? Yeah, everywhere. You can stream it. You can get on Blu-ray DVD. Finally. So for people who don't know about the sound of violet because even I who I'm doing this program forget everything, like all the details because you've been on here. But so tell my audience, what is this film? The sound of why is it called the sound of violet? Great question. It is a romantic comedy about a man who thinks he found his perfect soulmate, but his autism and trusting nature keep him from realizing she's actually a prostitute. What? Yes. And she's just looking for her golden ticket out of her trapped life. Honestly, I just want to say, this is such a brilliant concept. I don't know if I've said that to you in the past, but what a great idea. What a great concept. Because what we call on the spectrum, he doesn't realize that this woman who ends up, of course, being lovely, it's a kind of a whole beautiful story. But that she is only showing him interest because this is what she does for a living. And you manage to make a beautiful romantic comedy out of this that deals with the issue of autism, sex trafficking. People who know you well know you're not that sharp of a cookie. So this has to be God who gave you who can use this idea

A recap of Week 16 of the NFL season

"NFL week 16 roundup. I'm Dave ferry. The Buccaneers remain atop the NFC south after scoring the last 13 points in a 1916 overtime win at Arizona. Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles. I think it was a total effort in the second half, especially the fourth quarter. Defense getting stopped and the offense cashing in timely plays seemed like we play better in the fourth quarter if we can transfer that to the other three, you know, it would be pretty consistent, but it was a hard fork when we needed it. We got it. No matter how pretty it looked or it didn't look pretty. Ryan suck up entered it by hitting a 40 yard field goal and tied it on a 42 yard kick with two 27 left in regulation. The rally began after the Cardinals took a 16 6th lead on James Connors 22 yard scoring run with ten 47 remaining in regulation. Tom Brady threw for 281 yards, one TD and two interceptions. I would play better there in the fourth quarter. We executed pretty well. Hit a bunch of Brooks and tackles, you know, ran hard, a lot of guys made plays in the past games and contested catches. Got to hear as soon as they caught it and came up with it. So defense really stepped up. This was a great way to down ten in the fourth quarter on the road. It's great to find a way to win. Trace mcsorley had 217 passing yards and his first NFL start, but the Cardinals fell to four and 11. The packers playoff hopes are very much alive after they intercepted to a tongue of violet on three consecutive possessions, securing a 26 20 win at Miami. The first pick set up mason Crosby's tie breaking field goal early in the fourth quarter. Tongue of valoa was intercepted with 6 minutes left. And again, around the two minute warning. It was just terrible how everything ended. And like I told the guys, that's on me and I'll definitely get better from that. Aaron Rodgers threw for 238 yards and a touchdown as Green Bay improved to 7 or 8. A half came out of a playoff spot with two games remaining. Considering where we were a few weeks ago, a lot has happened in our favor. All the games that need to go a certain way win a certain way. Now there's obviously much much left. But again, we're going to be we played meaningful games in December. We want all three of those. Now we're playing meaningful games in January. We got to win those. The 8 and 7 dolphins led 20 to ten before losing their fourth in a row. Jaylen waddle and tyreek hill each had over 100 yards receiving. The defending Super Bowl champs finally enjoyed a blowout win. Mark Myers was there. Cam Akers ran for three touchdowns part of the rams 51 to 14 Christmas Day win against the Broncos. I mean, it's a big deal, you know, obviously I helped to contribute to a win today, so that's pretty much the biggest. The biggest highlight of it for me, you know, Christmas Day, we gotta win. Baker Mayfield through two touchdown passes to Tyler higbee and Kobe Durant had an 85 yard pick 6. Denver's Russell Wilson threw one touchdown three interceptions and was sacked 6 times. It was the 5th time Wilson has thrown three interceptions. They're more in a game. Twice against the rams. We feel like we can be better. We feel like we're more capable of being better or feel like we've had some good moments and all that. But nobody wants to put out what we put out today. That was terrible. The Chargers will face the colts on Monday night. Los Angeles will clench an AFC playoff birth with a win. Next week, the bills can clinch the number one seed in the AFC with a victory over the Bengals and a loss by the chiefs against the Broncos. Should the Bengals beat the bills and their ravens fall to Pittsburgh, Cincinnati wins the AFC north. The Jaguars are in control of the AFC south and take on the Texans in Houston. Jacksonville could lose that game and still capture the division by beating the Titans in week 18. The eagles will take the number one seat in the NFC by winning one of their last two games or having the Vikings split their last two games. A victory over the cults will put the Giants in the NFC playoffs. I'm Dave ferry, AP sports.

"Brett, can I tell you? Actually, kind of a funny story. It involves Chris Evans. Sarah and I were on a Zoom call with Chris Evans because he's doing like this dog partnership for dog food for this company called jinx. At the end of the zoom. Like on your podcast or? No, no. It was like a press thing. We were all invited. And of course, every editor went because it was Chris Evans. We don't talk about dog food, clearly. But we all went because one of our Friends was the publicist. And at the end, I'm like, I'm sending him a DM on Zoom. And so I wrote, loved you in gray man, and then that was it. But let it be known for the record that I spelled gray the way you spell gray, the color gray. So I tell Sarah and I sent her a screenshot and she's like, you spelled the color and correct. I'm like, fuck. So anyways, your name has now become synonymous with the color gray for me. That's how I spell gray now. I don't even think of the GRA anymore. You got the right actor in the right movie, though, at least. Yes, I did. I did, because he played the villain in that movie. So at least I wasn't like, completely out of sorts. He's just like, does this know how to spell properly? Like, what's wrong with her? Anyways, so that's my tied to you now. So every time you say gray, it's no longer a color, it's transcended. Yes. Exactly. I feel like it's crazy that it's taken us so long to have you on. And then finally, when we get you on, you're like peace out LA, I'm in New York now. Is your focus LA? It's just glos Angeles, so you know. We love to support our angeleno beauty people. But of course, we talked to everyone around the country in the world to me and to Kirby, you know, violet grey is such a staple anytime someone comes and asks where they can shop for beauty. We always suggest that they stop by. So for us, beyond this Chris Evans connection, you are synonymous with this beauty empire that you've built on Melrose. Well, thank you. Yeah, gray is actually my married name, as you may know. And my maiden name is heisen trite, which probably wouldn't have been as good. And gray Brad, my late husband's mother, Bobby shrimpy. She was married for a second time. Shows gray out of the phonebook because they were Jewish at a time when it was not so advantageous to have a Jewish last name. So gray is a pretty new name chosen by Bobby shumsky. She knew what she was doing. She's like, we're gonna build this umpire, sounds chic. Yes. Okay, we start off the pod by asking you the question we ask everyone, which is, what is on your face, Cassandra? I haven't had Botox and 7 months, I should point out. I can't tell. You know, I usually do it so I could still move my forehead. But this is the longest I've gone for a while. Is that because you moved to New York and you need to find a new person or you're just been so busy? Exactly. It's because I moved to New York and I'm not going to find a new person because I love my person, doctor saunder, that we talked about, right? Did she come on your show? No, but I want her to. So doctor sender. She's plastic surgeon, so she does next. Does everything. But I only trust her with my Botox. The last time I went to LA, I didn't have time to see her, so I'm just suffering over here. So you're going to be a bi coastal Botox, babe. That's when you know you've made it. You're like, I gotta fly back to LA to get my Botox. I think you know you've made it once you have lawsuits. Oh, okay. That's actually more honest. So no Botox happening. What else? Well, you know, I have a world class skin care routine. And I'm wearing makeup today. So I've been using 8th day, which is a brand relaunch last year. I love it. I use the resurfacing tonic, which is, I think, a better version of piece 50. And then I use the 8th day serum. And then I use my other skinless butter cream. Yep, the rich cream. Are you a rich cream girl? You prefer rich versus original? I use the rich at night and their original in the morning. Okay. I'm a rich girl through and through. Yeah, I'm honestly even like the barrier cream. Like I need it to be even richer. Yeah, I like that too. I mean, I can't get enough. And then I love the vet nurse daughter, the oil, but it's pretty strong, even though it's all natural, it's so strong that I can really only use it twice a week, but I love what it does to my skin. And then I've been using there's a new brand that I'm mentoring or helping to build and it's a surfer who could not find a sunscreen that he liked and he's been developing this sunscreen for a couple of years and it's very sexy sunscreen. And I love it. Yes, I've been using that every day. It has like a scent, which I usually don't like a scent, but the scent is very, you know, when you nail a scent where it's sort of universally loved and subtle enough that it doesn't bother people. I think I reached for that one now because of the scent because it's familiar and it does feel sexy. Well, I feel like we talked about this a lot, but the whole thing with sunscreen is consistency, right? Like making sure you're using it regularly. And if you don't like the way it smells, you're probably not going to reach for it, right? You want to make sure you actually enjoy using it. Yeah, that was his thing too. It's not only just you don't like the way it smells, but the way it tastes, because often, you know, if you're active, it's getting into your mouth and it tastes like you can't get the taste out of your mouth for like two days. This is a problem. Like, what is in that? Totally. We'll get into like the violet code and all that later, but I feel like one of sabre's musts for violet coat is like it has to be a sexy brand. Let's talk about the violet code. You don't have any like celebrity founded brands as a part of violet gray, right? Like I'm trying to think of your repertoire of brands in store, thinking of the walls. I mean, I think about all of them as celebrities, these founders. But I think as far as celebrity celebrity, I think Victoria Beckham is probably the biggest one that we have. Like, I don't even consider that celebrity though because of how is because the products are so good, they're so beautiful and they just like stand alone outside of Victoria Beckham. Yes, and she's not Victoria Beckham pop star. She's Victoria Beckham, creator. She's really, very serious about everything she does. And very involved in every detail. So it's very different, I think, than your typical celebrity

"We have 7 stories today. Beakers doesn't. Starting with story number one, Nintendo speaks up about Pokémon scarlet and violet. This is Ryan dinsdale at IGN. Pokémon Scarlett and violet's first post launch patch has arrived alongside a promise from Nintendo to take the game's tech problems seriously. Patch notes released on Nintendo's website for version 1.1. A Pokémon Scarlett and violet say that the broken music during the elite four in top champion battles has now been fixed alongside a vague confirmation that quote other secret bug fixes have been made. The patch available now also kicks off season one of ranked battles. Nintendo also committed to improving the performance of the first open world Pokémon games and apologized to the various issues that are present in the launch versions. Quote, we are aware that players may encounter issues that affect the game's performance, Nintendo said. Quote, our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games. And we apologize for the inconvenience. We take the feedback from players seriously and are working on improvements to the games. And quote, Tim, I'm sure you saw the tweet go out yesterday from Nintendo. Where they said this. And am I crazy in saying that that tweet read with an ominous tone? I don't see an ominous tone as much as I would say that Nintendo speaks up about Pokémon scarlet and violet is an inaccurate headline. While also being entirely accurate. Yes. They did. But also, they didn't. Like really, it's like, cool, we're going to fix a little bit of the music and then the clear problem that everyone saw about with the RNG battle stuff. We're going to fix that. Like we talked about a couple of days ago, blessed on the show where it's like, we expect them to do that. But we're aware that players may encounter issues that they affect the game's performance, our goal. All right, what's that actually going to mean? What are we going to get from that? Because I don't really believe that the problems can be fixed. I feel like some of the things can be, but I feel like a lot of it is just inherent to just how much is in the game and how much it just is not capable of running. I will be utterly shocked if the problems that I have with this game are fixed. I think there's amount of stuff you can do, but also I think you're right in terms of this game is never going to be pristine from a technical level, right? Is game's not going to run at all the frames per second that you wanted to. It's not going to be flawless, right? I don't think by that time, by the time you would get to that point as game freak and Nintendo, you're already releasing the next Pokémon game, right? I think it will take that long to actually get there. But I do think you can polish it up. I do think that you can fix a large handful of bugs that are present in the game right now, right? I think there's stuff you can do there to gain back that goodwill with the audience. I think there's stuff you can do in terms of maybe getting the performance just a little bit better in the frame rate because I think that is one of the very consistent things. I think, of course, they're going to do they're going to fix the battle. The online battle system, especially now that rank battles are kicking off season one, right? Like you'd want that to be up to par by the time that starts. I think there's things you can do. And I think I haven't seen Nintendo saying, hey, we take feedback from players seriously on our working on improvements to the games, right? I think for me, that's enough for an understanding of we're doing something. We're not going to let this slide. This isn't even okay with how we view our own standards of how we put our games. I don't get that vibe, man. I don't know. We'll see, maybe I'm just, I've been beat down for generations when it comes to Nintendo and how they do things and then the Pokémon company. I just, I don't believe that these things are going to actually be fixed. A little bit here a little bit there. These patches, yes, sure. I don't think there's going to be like the one patch to save them all. I do not think the Pokémon scarlet and violet is going to be a no man's sky situation or even a Cyberpunk 2077 situation. I think that it is what it is, and it'll have minor improvements over time, but I will be shocked if this game runs at 30 frames per second, even kind of consistently by the end of the day. Yeah. It's the interesting thing where I don't think it's going to hit the no man's sky level either or in like a cyberpunk level in terms of we fixed all this shit, right? I do think that there is an amount they can do that'll be like, all right, cool. It's good enough, right? I think good enough could be there. Especially for what the experience has been with Pokémon Scarlett and violet, which it's been varied, right? Like my experience playing Pokémon scarlet, Pokémon scarlet and violet. In my review, I pointed out mainly the frame rate and the overall performance in terms of this game just isn't consistent. I didn't really get bugs that much, right? A crash. I got like two crashes. Right, and then I talked to you and you got like 8 crashes in your time by that time of talking to you, right? I look online and it's like, who are all these different bugs that are happening in other people's games that are out there? I think that stuff you can fix, right? I think you can maybe prevent crashes. I think you can fix up bugs. If the end product ends up being like the version of the game that I got lucky enough to have in my 30 something hours playing, which was like, yeah, mainly just just frame me. You know, I think that could be a good place to have that game. A lot of the question for you though, about defining bugs in defining these technical problems. Because again, I love this game. And the more I play, the higher up my game of the year list it goes. Like I am super, super into this thing, and it is giving me so much joy. Despite all of these issues that I feel are just rampant in this game. And I understand where you're coming from, like, oh, it didn't really affect you too much. Honestly, it didn't affect me too much. I enjoyed the hell I, right? But when I say effect, I mostly mean like you getting bugs and you getting like crazy 5 bugs here. So like Pokémon just kind of being half in the ground half out the ground or just randomly floating. Shit like that. You didn't get that? No. I just, I simply can't believe it. The way the camera moves. I got a weird camera shit, but that was mainly like, oh man, I wish I could zoom out the camera more. I wasn't getting stuff. I've seen videos online of people characters stretching out of control, and characters Pokémon being in the ground and shit. I'm like, get that shit, I mainly got bad performance. Yeah, I didn't get too much of like the weird crazy stretch. You're like, oh my God, this is a bug that is the most ridiculous thing ever. It's more like the game majority of the time looks like when you're playing Mario 64 and you're messing around with the camera and you get in an awkward place where you're kind of inside of Mario and there's jaggies everywhere and things are just popping up in ways they shouldn't be. Like that is this game just entirely and I feel like that's unfixable. Like I want to see what your game looks like and like just see that's like the stuff that I categorize more is performance rather than because I want to talk about bugs. I am talking about things behaving the way that they're definitely not supposed to, right? They're not necessarily talking about

"Time for some no. 7 items on the roper report. A big game. Number one. Pokémon scarlet and violet sell over 10 million units in their first three days. This is Adam bankhurst at IGN dot com. Not only has Pokémon scarlet and violet sold an impressive 10 million combined units within the first three days of launch, they also account for the highest global sales level of any software on any Nintendo platform within that time frame. Pokémon scarlet and violent violet launched globally on violent November 18th, 2022 in these sales figures from Nintendo include both packaged and downloadable versions. The newest entries in the legendary Pokémon franchise marked the second outing of the mainline franchise following Pokémon sword and shield. For comparison, sword and shield sold over 6 million units in their first week, which was a record for the fastest selling switch title at the time. The switch has seen plenty of Pokémon titles since 2017, including Pokémon, let's go. Pikachu and let's go Eevee, Pokémon, brilliant, diamond and shining pearl in Pokémon, legends arceus. These sales numbers were reached despite some glaring technical issues. Plaguing Pokémon scarlet and violet. That being said, the game surrounding those bugs appears to be something special. Benji sales had more on Twitter that said, Pokémon scarlet and violet sold an incredible unbelievable, sorry. Ten plus million units in three days, including four plus million units from Japan alone. It is the biggest Pokémon launch ever. Biggest switch launch ever, biggest Nintendo launch ever, and biggest console exclusive launch of all time. Timothy, how do you feel about this? You were on the fence for a long time leading up to this game. Then you went home early to play it on the final day of work that I was here. Where are you at now with Pokémon? Oh, great. You've missed a lot. Yeah. A lot of students. Okay. A lot, a lot a lot has changed. I wouldn't even say I was on the fence. I was more yelling, get the fuck off my yard. Wow. With an AK-47. Damn, okay. I'm not down with this. I am standing against Pokémon. They've gone too far and they need to change. They need to fix some shit or else I'm just out. And that's going to affect you Pokémon company in Nintendo. You'll feel this when I walk away, okay? But then what happened was, and to keep this brief because people have heard the story many times at this point, blessing started playing. He was like, Tim, I don't know. I think this might be it. This one, you know, it runs like shit. It absolutely horrible, technically. But like, dude, this is the Pokémon game we've been waiting for. And now mind you, I don't know if you remember me and blessed were the ones that played brilliant diamond last year. And we were the ones that were like, you know what? No. This is where they're boring, infamous damn with that on the thumbnail. Damn boring, coming out of a poke ball, okay? Yeah. And so him saying that I was like, all right, we've been talking a lot about this on games daily. I know your thoughts here. We seem a little bit like minded about this, so I'm getting a little bit excited, you know? You feeling a little bit and feeling it. And then I heard Andy and he was like, oh man, the tutorial stuff in the beginning. Lasts a long time. I'm like, that's the shit I hate most. I'm out. I don't think I'm not doing it. But did I start playing, Greg? And that one hour turns to two hours, turns three hours, turns it down, one of my favorite Pokémon games of all time. I can't believe it. I can not believe how much I love this game. Easily, easily top three best generations of Pokémon. Debatably higher. I don't know yet where this is finally going to sit. And yes, I don't need to reiterate for the bazillion time. The technical issues and problems this game has. Because how many times does this game crash at me, Greg, ask me? Look me in my eyes and ask me. Tim, how many times has this game crashed on you? At least 15. At least 15. And violet. Okay, I'm I have not run into anything that anybody has been talking about. I've seen some tiny frame drops every once in a while, but I somehow lucked out and I have a great version of this game. Oh, I mean, Jesus Christ. I don't think I've ever seen it hit 30 frames per second. Any bit of it. This is an auto disaster, technically for me. Like, there's no even sugarcoating it or trying to find a way around it. Like, there's some people that, oh, it's not been that bad. I need to see what you're seeing. Because my version is, it's just as close to unplayable as it could possibly be. It is so, so damn bad. Undocked, it's a little bit better, but that's mainly because it doesn't make me as motion sick, seeing how horribly it's running. Are you back? I did see some Internet talk about depending on what kind of SD card you have. If you're saving the game onto an SD and maybe the speed isn't there and stuff like that. I don't know if that really has any effect to it. It felt like a lot of mumbo jumbo, but I tried it all. Bless hit me up with this thing. Transfer it in. I did it all. No, it's just this game is fucking broken. And it doesn't fucking work. And it sucks. It sucks that this is the way things are and it sucks that it will never change. Why won't it change? 10 million copies sold. With a try. They're just going to put out more versions and they're just going to keep going. It is what it is. I was running around Illinois all yet last week. Yeah, has there been any statement from Nintendo or the statement? If you expect the statement, I would be shocked. Just like hey, we're thinking of a boardwalk on a patch. No way. I don't think that's happening. Okay. I don't think a patch could fix this. I think it's fundamentally broken. I think that there's way too ambitious for what they're trying to do. Also running on switch hardware. There's so many factors coming into play here. They're working on the DLC. They're working on a remake of some other generation. They're working on some other shit. They are not. They're light years away from this. They don't care. If we end up getting a patch or something, I would be very surprised. And if we do, I don't think it's going to be, hey, we're fixing the problems. I think it's just going to be here's an update. Yo, here are the problems. You know? But yeah, Greg, real talk. I freaking love this game. I can't believe how high quality the Pokémon experience is in this game. It really is. What does that mean? The most quality of life stuff, getting rid of as much bullshit as possible, easily the best story we've had since gen 5, like for sure. To keep it simple, all the stories add up together. It's fun to just explore. It's faster than a lot of the Pokémon games have been. The gym leaders are interesting. It's not all perfect. Like the challenge before the gyms are inconsistent still, and they need to work on all that stuff. But the level of trainers in this game, the amount of personality so many of them have, the rivals fantastic, the new Pokémon are great. The amount of old Pokémon that are like the classics are there accessible and exciting ways. I have not seen a porygon yet, but like being able to see a flare on in the wild is exciting to me. It's cool.

What's good, everybody, and welcome to another episode of the west good games podcast. Your source for a video game news commentary analysis and funny stuff every Friday. I'm your host Brittany Brown baker alongside Rebecca Valentine reporter. Hi gian. That's me. Hi. We have had you on the show a lot lately. And I love it. I absolutely love it. And of course, I think this is your first time on the show, blessing addio junior hosts and producer from kind of funny. Yeah, I believe it is my first time on the show. I'm very excited to be here. I am so excited. I'm not gonna lie. I was like, I need some people on the show this week who have played Pokémon scarlet and violet. I am clenching with the anticipation. We are gonna talk about that. Oh, bless takes a drink. I heard we can shake on this podcast and I got very excited so it was really funny before we started recording, bless is like, oh, we can have whisky on this show and I'm like, oh, hello, sir. I don't fuck around. And then he comes back with his classy ass. Like, just like the smallest poor, right? Because we're not trying to get too turned on this podcast. And then Britt bumps out the big old bottle. My sash. I don't even have a glass I just drink shape in the bottle. That's how I do. Incredible. I was absolutely incredible, powerful. Powerful. So bless, how is the new studio kind of funny? New studios awesome. It's been great to work in the same space as my coworkers and actually share a space, get to have jokes, get to have in jokes and actually be face to face with roger, who weren't there when I was working in the previous studio. That's been awesome, but I think even more so, the content has been so much more fun doing it in person. The podcasting on Discord, as you know Brit, right? It's a different beast, right? The things you have to take account for in terms of timing and waiting for people to go and possible technical difficulties that can happen to an exponential degree because you're working with your own Internet, somebody else's Internet, like all these different setups. And working in a studio where Barrett is running everything and it is just on me to sit down. Look at Greg. It just talk about whatever and vamp about whatever. It's been such a great difference. Oh man, I love it. And in room chemistry, 'cause I've been able to go inside the studio at what's good, maybe a couple times since 2020. And yeah, when you're in person, you get to make that actual eye contact. Oh my God. I'm not just making eye contact with my Logitech brio right now. I'm not actually looking at your faces and it makes me really sad. But now the studios bomb and bless, I don't know if I've told you, I think you are an incredible host, you do such a good job hosting kind of fun and games daily. I love listening. You're just absolutely rocking it. And Rebecca, I sang your praises a few weeks back, so you don't have to do it. No, no, blessing is extremely cool. I just pointed at you on the camera. No blessing is extremely cool. Are you guys I'm trying to figure out which way to point. I think yeah, I don't know. Imagine I'm pointing at blessing where y'all just playing at each other. Before we get into the show, I want to let you know that this month's Patreon producers are Chewy's godson alexopoulos, Ferris as he had Justin foshee, punked, Maddie Dre, and thank you retro Lake for joining us at Patreon dot com slash what's good games. And thank you to new podcast reviewer, damn. I don't know how to say your name, but as always, thank you for the 5 star review. It does help us in those Apple algorithms. So if you have a few moments and you want to say something nice about us, please do, if you don't have anything nice to say, fuck off. And this week's show is brought to you by factor 75 and honey, but we'll tell you more about that later because we have some news to talk about. So The Game Awards 2022 nominees have been announced, and I feel like this news has been out for a while, so we don't have to rehash everything, but surprising no one God of War ragnarok is leading the industry with ten nominations and the game of the year nominees are a plague tale requiem, God of War ragnarok, elden ring, horizon forbidden west, stray and xenoblade chronicles three. So before we get into some of the other categories, I'd love to hear from you too. What do you think about the game of the year nominees? Immortality got robbed. Thank you. Thank you. Okay, rev me and you are on the same page. I will join that page too. I'm kind of funny, right? When we were doing our live reactions and predictions for the nominees. As we were working our way toward game of the year, right? Because we're saving that for last. In my head, I was just like, please give immortality the props to deserves. Please give the props. And the fact that I got there and best direction, I was like, okay, let's freaking go. I'm all about this. Get to game of the year.

"But then the big problem is, is there any other holiday thing I'm not paying attention to that will have come out around then. And then blessing. When, on God's green fucking earth, are we getting the one the only Callisto protocol? Well, that has a date. I'm pretty sure. We had December. Again, for review code business for us and doing our jobs, right? Because I would right now if you're like Greg, you can get Callisto protocol right now, but we blink Pokémon out of existence. I'd say goodbye Pokémon. And then what I would do is invent Pokémon become a millionaire, but that's just my scheme. Smart. Yeah, so the Callisto protocol comes out on December 2nd, right? Oh man. So that's not the same thing. In the window, buddy. That's Pokémon scarlet and violet in a very different way. What is happening? But again then, even that said, right? Okay, close to a protocol, I review that finish that. Then we're easy December. Traditionally, a pretty slow point for video games. So maybe I'm playing Pokémon Scarlett Pokémon violet then and doing that because of course, as you just saw, my wife delivered coffee if you're a video of your a huge Pokémon fan who plays them all. So her and I will be playing together. And maybe that's the thing. Jen, do you usually, not usually, but you don't catch them all every time, right? But you have caught them all, right? Yes. Yes, she has caught them all, but she does not catch them all all the time. Interesting. Which is the one, though here's the chat, I need the help. Which one, if I, if you get it, your trainer is not your trainer. Your boss, what your coach, I guess, is kit Ellis and which one has the woman? What? Oh, you have these two. Which one is which one? Is the one with the hot man? And there is the one with the woman. Who's also hot, but like, man, it's like really hot. Everybody's everybody's hot. There's so many hot air. You guys don't, how can you guys not ever agree on fucking anything in the chat? How is it that hard? Banderas said violet is the kit game. BL pen entertainment Ellis violet, which is it? Scarlett is the woman. Okay. Violet seems like it's going to be like look at this man. That's not the guy we're talking about. No, but I'm just saying. You're going to have to probably get a side by side from you real quick, but leave that up. That it, no, leave it up, please. I'm sorry. Thank you. That right there is edgy Zach Ryan. If Zach Ryan went through and got twisted up in Pokémon and put into the game that'd be Zach Ryan from Twitch informally of IGN. Real quick what I'm doing, Jen, can you hear me? Yep. I am calling that I will be playing Pokémon scarlet, which means you have to play Pokémon violet. Okay, cool. Wait, wait. Scarlett is the one. Which one are you trying to play? I want to be coached by the woman because the guy looks way too much like kid Ellis. I won't be able to enjoy myself. Oh, okay. I like it, but it's gonna be like, can't give me commands and stuff. I don't want that. That's fair. I'm definitely gonna be a violet boy. I do, I do like the Ellis looking professor, and then also the legendary for violet. So both the legendaries are motorcycles. I don't know if you saw this. Motorcycle Pokémon. One of them fucking scouts on his legs. And the other one actually runs like a motorcycle. I think that's the one I will get because I'm scarlet is what I said yeah, Scarlett, right? Yes. Scarlett was the one that goes on his legs. Yes. That's a turn off to me. But again, I can't have kit from kitten Krista over here. Being like, yeah, I got you some balls or go fight this thing or go back to, no, I can't do it, kid, I'm sorry. Here's the thing. Again, I like it a lot. This is not me saying I don't like it. It would just be like, hey, Nick scarpino was giving you the chore. You know what I mean? Like, I don't want it. I don't want it. Blessing, I will say it before this before seeing these legendaries in motion. I was definitely a scarlet boy because I usually try to pick off of which legendary I think looks cooler. But then seeing it in motion. I look a go. Here it comes. I think I might become a violet boy, honestly. Isaac, the same thing as why does it have the wheels and then it gallops? Yeah, does it make sense? Because he's like the old school Pokémon legendary who has it for aesthetic reasons, but it's not like he hasn't fully evolved where he's like, they're usable, right? Or is this one being more modern? You can use the wheels. Because that was something that it's an interesting point. One of the last Pokémon presents when they were talking about violet and scarlet is that they're going to be two different vibes of more rustic with scarlet and more modern stuff with violet. It's another thing. It's another thing to do. You are where are you right now with Scarlett violet? Are you stoked? Are you in 'cause I'm in? I'm in. Yeah, I was never not in.

Allen Wolf's 'The Sound of Violet' Sounds Like a Joke, But It's Not

"Books I'm talking to the filmmaker Alan wolf, Alan wolf is also my friend and the film is the sound of violet. Okay, for folks just tuning in, Alan, you're the director, the producer you wrote this. It's been a long journey. Give people the 22nd pitch. What is this film about? This film is a romantic comedy about a man who thinks he found his perfect soulmate, but his autism keeps him from realizing that she's actually a prostitute. And she's looking for a ticket out of her trapped life. No seriously. We're on the air, please. Honestly, but because I know you have known you for so long and because of your sense of humor, it sounds like the kind of thing that you would say as a joke. But obviously, this is really, but it's an amazing thing that you were able to pull this off.

Director Allen Wolf Discusses His New Film 'The Sound of Violet'

"They're very few people. That cracked me up instantly. And I hate it because I have no control over myself. I just get like a goofy idiot. Alan wolf, who is my friend, is one of those people. He's a filmmaker. He's got a film coming out this week, Alan wolf, welcome to the program. Thanks for having me, great to be here. I'm gonna try to have a substantive conversation with you and not just get really stupid and jokey because that's what happens. How many years I've known you for like 25 years? Yes. Yes, more than the age of my kids, my marriage, a long time. Well, way before that. Way, way before that. I think I knew you before I was married. Yeah. That's true. So for a quarter of a century and you're a filmmaker and you have a film coming out, this Friday. This Friday, my Friends. I can't believe it. I want everyone to get all these facts. So my friend Alan wolf, tell us the film is the sound of violet. What is this film? This film is a romantic comedy about a man who thinks he found his perfect soulmate, but his autism keeps him from realizing that she's actually a prostitute. Looking for a dead sounds like something you would make up as a joke. But it's actually true. That is the truth. He doesn't realize that she's looking for a ticket out of her chop life, but the movie has an anti trafficking message as part of it as well. It's been called a more serious take on pretty woman, but yeah, it just feels like you allow your crying. Okay, so it's called the sound of violet and no joke folks. This is the premise of it is that the protagonist, what is his name in the sound of violet Shawn? Okay, Sean is what we say on the spectrum, but it's not just Asperger's. He actually has functional autism. Yes, that's correct. Asperger's usually means they're at the high functioning part of the spectrum and that's him. He's high functioning. Okay. So this protagonist because he doesn't pick up like a lot of people if they have autism or aspergers, they don't pick up social clues. So he does not pick up that this woman, this young woman actually is a prostitute.

"violet" Discussed on The Past and the Curious

"When the marvelous Olympic, the first of the sister ships to be completed, set sail, the kind and well liked violet was specifically chosen to join the crew of the incredible craft. And she was aboard, busily doing her job on September 20th, 1911. When the RMS Olympic was making its way through a narrow strait between the Isle of Wight and Great Britain. Traveling near by, and moving in a parallel direction, was a British navy vessel known as HMS hawke. Everything felt normal, aboard both ships. But the captain of the hawk was surprised when the Olympic turned hard to starboard, which is a seafaring way to say, to the right. The hard right left him no time to correct his own course and avoid a collision. Now, the bow or the front end of the hawk was made specifically to ram into other ships. The idea was that a full on ram could damage, bash a hole in, and even sink their adversaries. All while remaining relatively unscathed itself. The problem was that though the Olympic was not an enemy ship, the bow of the hawk still did what it was supposed to do. In a flash, there was a crash. Luckily, no one acted rash, a few people went splash. Violet grabbed her stash, she was evacuated, and still collected. Her cash. At first, violet seems to have thought very little about this accident. It was a marvelous ship and the first of the revolutionary Olympic class boats, but she barely even mentions the event. After the crash, she was taken to shore, she got her paycheck and awaited her next assignment for the white star line, while the Olympic, underwent major repairs. Again, handpicked on account of her stellar record and endearing nature she soon found herself assigned to the maiden voyage of the sister ship. Perhaps you've heard of it, it was called the Titanic. It's a safe bet that most of us know, basically, what happened to the Titanic. If you don't, in a nutshell, it goes like this. The Titanic was the pride and joy of the white star line. It was immense, beautiful, and powerful. And thanks to the great engineering, it was dubbed unsinkable. As the Titanic made its way across the ocean from England to New York with over 2200 people aboard, the captain received reports of icebergs in the path. The information was largely ignored in the boat continued its path to America. On the night of April 14th, 1912, the boat collided with one of those icebergs, which led to the boat sinking. By early the next day, the boat was lost, as were the lives of 1500 people who had been on board. To put it in an even smaller nutshell, it was really nice, really fancy, and people were really proud. No one said it would sink, it sank. Only a third of the people on board survived. One of those people, you guessed it, violet jessup. Two for two. Whoo. When the iceberg hit, violet was asked to help get people to the deck and ready to board lifeboats, which she did. But then, when it became clear that things were making a turn for the worst, everyone was evacuated with much more fervor. Violet was put on a lifeboat with passengers and a few fellow crew members, and one baby, which someone thrust into her arms at the last moment. Despite the cold, harrowing and terrifying night, at least she had something to focus on, a stranger's baby. Violet again, stretching her luck, made it to the morning and was rescued by the carpathia, a ship responding to the distress signal that the Titanic had blasted to the world as it sank. Some one we can only assume to be the baby's mother, stretched her luck too, because on board the carpathia, the baby was suddenly taken from violet's arms by a woman who said nothing to her at all, focused solely on the child. Afterwards, violet was plagued by the horrors that she had seen. But was also a matter of fact in her journals about one great regret. She was saddened that she had left her toothbrush on board. It most certainly sank to the bottom of the ocean with the Titanic. Violet did like having fresh breath. Now, you might think that being in two shipwrecks on the first two Olympic class steamers would be enough to keep a woman like violet on land, or at least off of Olympic class steamers, especially when the most recent one was the infamous and catastrophic wreck of the Titanic. But would you be right? You'd be worse than right. You'd be wrong. Violet couldn't say no to the sea life, nor the paychecks that came with it. And, you know, with those paychecks she could buy any number of new toothbrushes. Of course, there weren't as many white star jobs as their once had been. A couple of accidents significantly impacted their fleet, and fewer boats meant fewer work opportunities for people like violet. The Olympic was eventually repaired, but of course the Titanic remains at the bottom of the ocean still today. So she worked for a few smaller lines over the next relatively uneventful and shipwreck free years, and as she approached her late 20s she began to hear the call to join nursing. When she had been a child sick in a hospital in Argentina, she had desired to be a nurse. And with World War I and full swing, there was a great need for nurses throughout Europe. She trained in hospitals on land and when it came time to head out as a professional, she was assigned to a British ship stationed near Greece. It was a passenger ship that had been converted by the British Army into a hospital ship. And it felt creepily familiar to her. What did you say this ship's name was? The britannic. The britannic? By chance does the britannic have a sister ships? Yes, too. The Olympic and the Titanic. Have you heard of them? Yeah, I've heard of them. The third and final Olympic class ship was originally supposed to head out with passengers in 1915. But the British government thought such a big, safe boat would be better used as a temporary floating hospital to take care of the British soldiers who were wounded in the great war. The britannic was bigger and safer than either of the sister ships, which may or may not have eased violet's mind. It certainly must have felt eerie to walk the halls and staircases that felt nearly identical to those of the sunken Titanic, but violet had a job to focus on. The care of passengers in the water bound hospital. On November 21st, 1916, her focus was broken. As was the hull of the ship, when the britannic hit an underwater mine that the Germans had laid as a trap. Ah, not again. Hope I go three for three. Just in case, a better go get my toothbrush. The evacuation of the Britannica went smoother than that of the Titanic, at least in the number of lives lost, but it was frantic and dangerous, especially since the captain did not turn off the massive propellers as the ship sank. In the melee, violet hit her head, it didn't bother her at first, but after years of headaches, she discovered that her skull had been fractured during the ordeal. Despite everything, despite being on board for the wreck of all three Olympic sister ships, violet still spent more years on the boat. And.

"Dust. It was dust. April 14th is known as black Sunday, and it was the most dramatic event of a years long drought known as the dust bowl. On that day, clouds of dust stretched for miles from the east to the west and towered hundreds of feet high in the air. It was impossible to see your hand in front of your face according to witness and folk singer, Woody Guthrie. Dust found its way into homes, cars, barns, anywhere and everywhere. The dust storm was so bad that days later, some dust particles had made it all the way to the eastern states and the Atlantic Ocean. Okay, and question number three on April 14th, 1912, a boat known as HMS Titanic, ran into what? In the North Atlantic Ocean. It was an iceberg and the collision happened at 1140 p.m. on April 14th, and the boat sank after midnight on the 15th. All three of those things happened on April the 14th. Sounds like a pretty tough day, huh? I actually learned about all three of these things happening on the same day because of a song written by one of my absolute favorite musicians of all time, her name is Gillian Welch. And so yeah, I guess this is dedicated to Gillian Welch. Thanks, Gillian. You know, often, in this day and age, people who board an ocean liner are heading off for an enjoyable trip. One where the leisurely act of floating across the sea is one of the main attractions. But in the early 1900s, most people boarding ocean vessels were making a necessary journey from point a to point B and a slow, often arduous trip across the ocean was the only way to do it. Unless they were holding on to a first class ticket, there was little to enjoy. Yet for other people, like violet, jessup, being on a boat was a job. And while many of the ship's crew members probably didn't enjoy their work very much, violet for the most part did enjoy her time as a stewardess on a number of ocean liners. Of course, there were a few bad days, though. And violet's case, there were three of them. Violet's parents had moved from their native Ireland to Argentina in the 1880s, with the hopes of starting a sheep farm. Not long after she was born in 1887 in the South American country, violet felt ill with tuberculosis. Doctors did not like the odds and told her parents to expect the worst. But the young girl surprised everyone and demonstrated an incredible ability to survive. Soon, healthy and rambunctious in her home near the Andes Mountains, violet was scampering around with a pet armadillo and eagerly welcoming a growing flock of siblings. When tragedy struck again and the family lost their father and violet's teenage years, they all boarded a ship bound for England. It must have felt comfortable or otherwise enticing to violet because in just a few years she'd spent most of her days on similar boats. In the meantime, it was her mother's turn. For the family's early days in Europe, violet became the main caretaker of her siblings, while mama jessup worked aboard an ocean liner. Once she had reached adulthood, violet two found herself sailing the seas as a stewardess among several different ships. Violet was a pleasant person, so pleasant, in fact, that many of the passengers she encountered cared for or otherwise helped, wrote letters to friends and family, specifically mentioning her by name. So today, archivists can find violet mentioned in random letters written at sea, sent to people in Europe and America, and all those letters are now preserved for the sake of history. But it wasn't all about life at sea. When a ship she was working aboard came to port, an excited young violet disembarked for days. She treasured the time that she got to spend exploring the unfamiliar and the thrilling joy of new cities. New York was a favorite. By 1910, violet had worked for a few smaller shipping lines. She had told herself that she did not want to work for the white star line. A British company, with the most famous fleet of ships in the world. She heard that their routes across the North Atlantic were treacherous and plagued with things like bad weather, and icebergs. She also heard the first class passengers on white star liners could be pretty demanding. Despite this, when she found herself with no other options, she came aboard as a white star stewardess, tending to passengers, serving meals, caring for the seasick and helping with anyone who needed helping. The white star line changed the world in the years before violet was born when it debuted a fleet of ships known as the oceanic class. They were large, carrying almost 1200 passengers, and they could make good speed with their combination of sails and steam engine. But by the time violet was on team white star, they were hard at work on an all new type of ship. The biggest, fastest, sturdiest, most powerful, and most beautiful, that anyone had ever seen before. The Olympic class. What? You wanted a big ship. And now we've got the ship for you. At nearly 900 feet long. The Olympic class ships are twice. Twice as long as those puny other ships at sea need to carry a lot of people. Look no further. You can fit so many people in this baby. 2400 passengers, and that's in addition to the crew of 900, needed to operate each of these marvelous machines. Splendid grand staircases and ornate ballrooms that rival the finest hotels and parrots in New York are aboard each of these sister ships. Oh, what's that, you ask? Sister ships, that's right. Each one of these sister ships are truly a miracle of engineering extravagance and human ability. That's why we made not one, not two, but three of these amazing beauty. The first one off the line, the Olympic. Namesake for the class of shell. The other two, not far behind. That would be the Titanic. And the britannic..

"violet" Discussed on Sex With Emily

"In myself to view myself. It's more me trying to be whoever the guy wants me to be instead of just being truthful with myself. So when I was younger with my daddy issues, I was in the relationship on and off for a 7, 8 years of my ex and no matter how long we were together for in the peers were together for every day my legs, my whole body shape, every single day. 'cause I said he wanted that and you thought that's what people wanted. Yes, I would just want to constantly be perfect for this person. It was like my need to be loved, even though obviously the person I picked, I was never enough for them, my hands, daddy issues, until you love yourself, blah, blah. So that's blah, blah, blah. Love yourself. That's gonna term, but I think now people throw that around. They call anything you do. You try to look good on camera. I said the other day, I love men. And I was like, oh, such a pick me vibe. 'cause I said something nice about men, like, come on. We could say nice things about men, but talk to you about the daddy issues really quickly. Like, how does that manifest with your dating? I noticed actually that my dad issues manifest in the way now where I tend to date guys with daddy issues. I like me to list, understand what was similar between all the men I dated and suddenly I looked and it was like daddy issues daddy as she's daddy and I was like holy hell. They were not enough, their dad never supported them, didn't do enough for their day. Yeah. I think maybe I started dating men that I felt like I could save. I would look for quote unquote broken guys or guys with daddy issues and there were parts of them that I thought were so beautiful and they were the parts of the daddy issues or the feeling like they're not enough and that was a part of me that wanted to nurture and to take care of it. And finally, at the time, take a step back and be like, oh, I actually have this part in me, hand daddy issues, but I hate that part about myself. So it's kind of interesting that I want to nurture and heal this part about this person, but I won't do the same with me. So it's kind of like, maybe instead of focusing so much on healing someone who didn't ask for my help, I try to heal that part of me because it's kind of funny, a lifetime when you look for specific things and partners, your favorite thing about partner are things that exist inside of you, the you don't realize that are there, whether good or bad. Yeah, it's like a mirror. Like sort of a mirror. Yeah, how can I love that the most about this person, but hated the most about me? When it's the same trait. It's very insightful. How do we do that? No, it is fascinating. So I think it is true that people are often a mirror often more attracted to things that we want in ourselves that we covet or that things that we don't love about ourselves. And ultimately it just means that we need to learn to heal these parts of ourselves that we feel are so broken and shameful and bringing them out there. And I feel like you're doing that slowly, you're putting it all out there, which I love this about you. Now we decided that you're going to take a break from dating, right? A little bit, yes. So what I want to know, what you're going to do now, because I think some tips for it is you love making lists or intentions or kind of thinking ahead, like doing some things more for yourself. Maybe it's an extra night that you're doing something with friends or doing something for yourself or another therapy session. I feel like I do need to leave my house more often. The pandemic, especially as a person who's more antisocial, it hasn't made me get very used to being home a lot. It's very hard for me to leave my house and I would say that's a bad habit that I've created. So then a lot of times if I feel alone or lonely, it's like, yeah, well, I silly myself all the time. So I think I'm okay with not focusing on dating, which I haven't been anyway. And instead of focusing on kind of leaving my house more often, doing something fun, because all the time, I'm like, well, what's the point? My friend was like, do you want to go to dinner? And I was just like, why would I put on makeup? Get in the car. Get in traffic to get the location where there's people there. And then you have to be around people, and then you have to sit down and you have to order and I can't even eat the way I want to eat because and then I have to take the leftovers, and then again, and then people again, then traffic to get home, then you get home, and you remove your makeup. And it's a lot. Why wouldn't I just order food in my house? It's so much easier and he's like, yeah, but it's the atmosphere being outside. And I'm like, I don't understand. Well, the pandemic made a lot harder for us to leave our House. I literally, yeah, why would you make up the whole thing leaving? But maybe you probably feel good once you go. Yeah, a lot of time. I mean, the other day, while we're with my agent, it was for work, but still. To comedy show. That's funny. Stand up this year. Nice. Yeah. Thanks. Did you laugh? You know, it's weird. I don't laugh as much, but I think it's because I constantly am thinking of jokes. I think it's different for people who I think you'd be great at that. Yeah, I would love to. I can't wait, but that was kind of cool to be out of the house to be in an environment, you know? So moving more of that, you had a theory on queefs. Okay, so obviously, I feel like now you have to have disclaimers and everything, disclaimer, there's nothing wrong with griefing. It's part of the human body. It's cool if you're into it as a girl that has daddy issues and grew up with need to be perfect. I did growing up come up with a way to not weave. And it's basically because I don't care for the sound. I mean, it ruins it for me. Like I literally dry up when I hear it. It's always us caring more than the guy cares. The guy doesn't care. He's so excited to just be invited to the vagina party. Anal party. Like he doesn't care or the mouth party, the boobies party. He's just excited that he's there. But it's for the girls if we get bothered and I get bothered and I feel weird. So the way I've learned is that when I'm switching sides because the air just gets in your hole. It's air. I take a finger. I put in my Vijay J and I push and when I push when there's a finger inside of her JJ, when you push, it doesn't make a noise in the air comes out by itself, and I do a really quickly when I'm switching positions, like we're like, okay, let's switch. And I just put it in and then we switch and it's tight again and there's no air in there and we're all good and there's no keeping. Finger it. All right. But no shaven keeping. Yeah, if you push, if you put the air out, that's how you film make a noise. If you put your finger in there, that's actually also if you have gas. And you don't want anyone to hear. You can actually put your finger up your butt hole really quick. And it won't make a noise. I can't promise it won't smell, so be careful. It's a good workaround, but also we shouldn't care about it. We don't care. You could queef in part. You know who you are as a person. And for you, it bothers you. Bothers you. Then you can try this at home. Okay, real quick, I want to ask you to do 5 questions we ask all our guests or the cookie questions, ready? Okay. Biggest turn on. Passionate. Biggest turn off. Talks a lot. What makes good sex? Them going down on me. Something you would tell your younger self about sex and relationships..

"violet" Discussed on Sex With Emily

"It's sort of a theme that you're going to show up in all the ways to be yourself, you're going to be vulnerable and open like you are with your parents when your parents are like how you are with them and that quirky self is that how you're going to be in all the ways. But you have close friends, like we're all like that, like it's all really hard. I think we all go up and down and listen, I can relate to you. People think they're going to have sex with me and it's going to be like they're going to walk in and there's going to be like the sybian set up, all the toys are going to be charged. There's going to be like handcuffs and things and swinging from the rafters. And it's not always like that. And sometimes I don't even want sex. Sometimes I can't have orgasms. I don't want orgasms. I don't feel like giving them blowjob. I don't want to get naked. We have insects and I'm not, I know what to do. And I know how to communicate it, but it doesn't mean that I always want sex. And that's every sex is always great, but what makes sex great is that I'm real about it. I think with partners now and I've learned this, I went through the same journey as you where I was like, I have to always be on. And I have to always be performing and I have to wear the matching underwear. So I was like, you know what, I just don't feel like having sex tonight. And I feel like the best sex am I having now is when it's just like so fucking real. First of all, no one wants anyone who thinks there are no it all. And the thing about sex and about dating is it's like an art and I could help anyone with sex. I could talk to anyone for two minutes and tell them exactly what they need to do with the next step. But personally, I also see that sex and dating is complicated. Changes in relationships. It's really about being real and being vulnerable and being honest and being able to communicate. What is happening with you in the moment and showing that full spectrum of who you are, which is where I think you're getting right now, which I love this hard reset for you with almost adulting because a huge part of adulting is learning how to communicate your needs and being real and being honest and so I love this for you. Have you been in a relationship longer term relationship with somebody that you feel like that was sort of close or we just sort of starting blank slate right now? I think all my past relationships were in my 20s and one of them being on offer 70 years and that was very toxic because I don't like change. I stay in in it for so long. And then I did try to date as around older but I keep growing as a person so I think every time I keep growing as a person I enter a new chapter and suddenly even the people I like are different. But I have said before that I've never been physically attracted to people. That's not how I'm attracted to people, so that's what's really hard for me. It's more about people's quote unquote vibe and personality and aura and things like that. That's usually what I'm drawn to. So I do find a sometimes harder for me because it's not like I can sit on dating apps in general and just swipe because I'm not attracted to anyone. I can say when someone's handsome but I'm not attracted to that. Yeah, it's super common. It's like a sabio sexual. The attracted to their mind, their brain. You need to have a connection with someone. Yeah. I think that's maturity, too. Yeah, so it's something that I think it's harder for me to find that connection. And then sometimes I've noticed that if there's those people that you're so drawn to, the automatically, you're both like, and that was with the last guy, it was just like, uh oh, this is not gonna end well. Because it's too intense. You feel too much. And both parties have no idea how to handle something like that. It also would be helpful to say, I don't know if you've done this before, but I've done this where I said, I'm taking dating off the table. I'm not even dating for 6 months. I was like, Q four. This was like last year. It was like Q one, I think. And I was like, I'm not even gonna date. And it's a huge relief to say like, I'm actually not dating, I'm taking off the table. I'm just gonna focus on my business, my Friends, my mental health, my physical health. Okay, I'm gonna do that. I'm taking dating off the table. Take it off the table. I used to call it a mandatory. I do it every few years. I just decided to also, I think before I was okay with the entertaining guys that I'm not interested in, or guys that I know I'm not actually gonna date just the texting all that. And now I'm just like, I am, I think, at the point where I'm taking dating off the table where, dude, I know this is not gonna go anywhere why am I even wasting my time or giving attention? I'm good. So I kind of backed off. So that might be good for you. I think just like, what if you're not swiping, you're not looking, and then you can spend time cultivating your friendships or working on whatever else it is that you want to do besides work. What do you do besides work that fills you up? Well, I love puzzles. I do have a bad habit where I start to get into watching a lot of TV, which is really bad from the pandemic. I picked that up. So I try not to do that. I like to play chess. You're such a you're so in your head. You're such a analytical, right? Well, you were also an accountant. Yeah. People get mixed up though. You don't have to be good at mouth to be an accountant. I don't think that. You're very linear. Yeah. I mean, even right now I'm so in my head as I'm answering these questions and I'm just like, I'm acting too perfect right now, like should I calm down? No, you actually have already cried. And talked about being vulnerable. No, I think that you're being real. I'm like, I can't help it because I want now I want to nurture you and I want to shake it up for you..

"violet" Discussed on Sex With Emily

"What are you afraid of? These guys see you in a certain way. Like does it feel like you won't be lovable? No, like I do love myself. I do find myself very lovable. I think I just have a hard time. Showing the other side of me. It's not even on purpose. And I think discussing one of my soul episodes this month, I tried to explain it because I do try to better dissect and understand it and I think it has to do with my whole growing up, I felt invisible and not the cool girl, not the pretty girl, and it took me a long time to kind of get into my looks and get into my confidence. And now I'm finally there. The confident person. So I think I have a hard time to act more vulnerable because it makes me feel like I'm going back to that girl who felt invisible and I don't say you're equating sort of vulnerability and dating with the girl that didn't feel hot growing up. Yeah, the girl that felt invisible, which I know it's on your head because I recall a while back and went out with this guy who I grew up with. And I told them how, when we were growing up, I felt like him and his friends never noticed me. And I was so invisible, and he was just like, we did notice you. V that's in your head. That's how you felt. And it completely agreed because I think a lot of the time, it doesn't matter how you look, how much you work out or the die you're on. If you don't feel good about yourself when you enter a room, then no one else is going to notice you. When you walk into a room and you're confident that everyone notices you. And I've learned that. That's why I try so hard to constantly be this person. And I'm not always that person. So I here's the thing, what I love that you're saying is that you've worked through such great proof here to show that there has been so many ways that you've had success. And you didn't know all about business, but you had to, you had to make it happen. I want to say fake it till you make it, but you had to work really hard. You worked really hard to be confident and walk into the room and have all its success. And so now if I told you that actually being real and vulnerable in a relationship is a practice. So maybe let this show and this new almost adulting, part of that, I think, for you is going to be like, it's okay to say that this is like the turning point. You're not going to date the guys who you know, this guy that you're ending. You're like, I knew he wasn't the one. Let's say that that doesn't happen again. Maybe I'll have another one or two times, but maybe you're looking for the guys that you can say to them, this is new to me. This is something I'm practicing right now. I'm all these things. I'm hot violet. I'm confident this is my home. I fucking bought it. I've got this business. I'm really good at all these things, but relationships is my new edge. Relationships is my new thing. I'm actually want to be vulnerable and I want to commit and I want to be in it, but I'm going to learn. And so I might run away. I might not call you back. I might say things that might turn you off right away, but I'd like you to check in with me and say, when you said that yesterday, did you really? Now this takes maturity in a man. I think so too, because who's going to stick around if you just have a whole layout. Okay, so on Monday, sometimes I get a little scared. And you may not hear from me between two to 5 business days. On Tuesdays, I'm a little quirky, so that's the best time for you to call me. Wednesdays, though. Not the best. So maybe wait a few hours. Wait till evening time to contact me. Thursdays are best to go out with me. Those nights are and I would love that. To me, I would sign up for this right now. Then I won't fuck around calling you on a Monday to Tuesday and wondering why you don't call me. This is the thing. We have all the answers like the violet Benson operations manual. And if you could share that with someone and say, as soon as I wake up in the morning, I do that with my partner too, and I'm like, I might say this, but I don't really mean it. If I say to you, I always calm down. I'm like, listen, last night when I'm all the time I'm doing this. Last night, when I said, I didn't really want to come over. It was more like I wasn't sure that you really needed me to come over or you wanted me to go like, I fucking do that. That's hot. So true, there's so many times I'm like, or even the partner I was with, they would sell me get up to leave. And I'm like, oh, okay, did you want to go and they're like, no, I just assumed, because you said you said I have work after this. I just assumed that was my cue to leave. And I'm like, no, I just meant I've worked in a couple of hours, but we can still hang out. And he's like, oh, okay, sorry, and it's like, we always figure out how easy it is. So easy. And then most of it's with text or messaging and it's all off, so I think that the practice is just saying like, this is going to happen. It might not be that open, I might not be as clear, but I want you to check me on these things. You can say that on the first date. I think that we are trained to think that we're supposed to be perfect in any that would be awkward or weird, but if you do something to the guys like, that's weird, I don't want to what if I want to talk to you in a Monday, not your guy. Because you will find the people that'll be like, oh, I'm so relieved to know that. It's hard for me to show that side, but also last year when I was doing my two try to be crazy podcast, it was so focused on dating relationships, and I was reading so many self help books, so many dating books, so many relationship books, like watching so many ted-talks nonstop because I wanted to be knowledgeable enough to give the dating advice. So I started to feel like a walking dating textbook and it got even harder for me to date and I was also so drained and exhausted from it. I think that's another reason why it's only I felt like I had to be this perfect person when it came to dating because all I did was give advice about it. And that's one of the reasons I suddenly towards the end of last year, I decided to take a break from the podcast and change the whole structure of my podcast right now because I knew that for my own sanity and mental health, I just can't do dating every day because then I struggle. But it's also hard I think when you do what we do for a living, a lot of times people don't realize that it's just like the way they are actors on TV who are playing a role, we are characters as much as we're real, I am in control of what I put out into the world. And I'm a control freak. So there's a specific character of me. Most people see only one side of me unless they dig in and listen to my podcast or see all my sides, they'll see my vulnerable sides. But the point is I would the lifetimes I've noticed sometimes it's hard to date men because they have an idea of me. And sometimes it gets scared that the men who go out with me, they're going out with me because I want to go out with the idea of me, the version of me, the daddy issue girl, that they have in their head versus who I really am. So sometimes I meet someone, even friends, and I'm kind of like, which version of me, did you fall in love with that I need to be right now? I think it's all being all of these things. And I think that we're all all of these things. I think right now, this is what we're talking about..

"Of the hilarious and ever viral Instagram account, daddy issues, violet Benson is the host of the former tutar to be crazy podcast and the forthcoming almost adulting coming soon. Fighter and Twitter and Instagram at daddy issues or at violet Benson on Instagram. We've done a lot of interviews together. We've been together. We talked a lot about sex and relationships and dating. So I texted you when I said, what do you want to talk about? What's going on with violet Benson? I haven't really seen you in person two years. And you said to me, you're done with dating. Number one, I would like to take a break from dating men. Okay. Would you like to date other people? Are you dating in general? I think I want to take a quick break for a second from dating in general. Technically I feel like I'm always dating, but I think I was I'm constantly drawn to people that I know are not right for me or people that I'm looking for probably casual things with them. And then I get upset when they agree to the casual stuff that I'm kind of like, I mean, I wanted it, but why do you want it? Maybe you don't want the casual. So it sounds like, yeah, I think I secretly don't want the casual, but I also have a hard time being vulnerable and getting clothes. It's like the anxious attachment style. Which I am too. Yes. Yes, exactly. And I just think it's hard to be open and to kind of say I might want something more because what if they don't? A, it's hard to find someone you can connect with, I struggle with that. B, I'm very busy and see and this has been recently a conversation that I have with my mother. It didn't work out to me in some guy, which it was never even that serious, but to be honest, I kept him at arm's length, but maybe that's also me blaming myself like he wasn't my person. How do you know he wasn't your person? I mean, I knew I literally was planning it to be very casual this person. I kind of set it up front. I think sometimes I say stupid stuff just to see people's reactions and I think sometimes it's just build up a wall around me and then I just assume people break it down and then they don't. And I think I'll say things and then I get surprised when those other people pull away because it's like, well, the human being. So obviously if I'm like, I don't look at you as someone I can date or this and that, then what do you expect? They're going to that's kind of your pattern. If you know you, you throw things out there that are. Yeah, to see the reactions or how people will handle it. And then when they start to go along with exactly because men are very simple, we forget. So when they start to go along with what you decided, then I can get upset like, well, this and that. And I don't know. Tell us a little about your mom. This is really good. So basically the other night, I started to feel sad and I have a hard time admitting when I'm sad, but my mom has told me that I need to be better with communicating and I've been working on it. So I called my mom and I was just like, it didn't work out with this guy and she was so happy because she did not like him for me anyway. Not to mention it was I kept a very casual. I kept it in arms like, but he decided to go with someone else and then he told me about it out of respect. Basically, I didn't even really like him. So it was silly that I didn't even care about. I was just like, fuck, like, mom. I just feel like I'm so good at everything else. Like I'm so good at figuring out business, getting all these degrees, like buying this home, and I'm like, how can I do everything else, and it's like, no matter what I do, I feel like I always fail. I love and I feel so embarrassed and she was just like, don't feel embarrassed, but she said, can I tell you something about you getting offended? And I said, sure, and she goes, you constantly have a thing where you pretend to be someone else all the time. And if you constantly pretend to be someone else all the time, then you can be upset when you feel like nobody knows who you are. Because I as my biggest problems, I feel like, oh, people don't get me and all that. And I was just like, oh, you're so right. That makes so much sense. And I do have a hard time where I constantly pretend to be perfect. Whether it's with guys, like, oh, what is this guy like? Oh, he likes a girl that's as much as I try not to be a pygmy girl. It's my daddy. She's like, oh, he likes a girl into music. Sadly, I'm so into music, or oh, he likes a girl that's funny and quirky telling him funny and quirky. And my mom was like, you know, how you are around me and dad sometimes. You're just like yourself and your dorky. Or even when you're feeling sad right now or when you fail, like she's like, that's more you and I think people don't see that side of you. So some of it's probably hard for some people to date you or to be around you because it's like this person is so perfect. And like everything she does is a success and she holds herself to such a high regard that's almost hard to compare to it, or whatever. And I was like, you're so right. But I also do that on my podcast too. I can come off overly cocky, 'cause I want everyone else to be confident and I don't always feel confident, but I know that if I keep pretending that I'll eventually feel confident. So.

"Give it a voice. Also, here's the question. Would you rather the Pokémon make your little sounds or would you rather have them say their name? That was that voltorb you did? That was my impression of a GBA or Game Boy, excuse me rather like Pokémon. They're like, I'm gonna look up what voltorb sounds like. I think that was pretty close to voltorb. Okay, listen, I'll do the voice acting Nintendo, you can hire me. So yeah, but you know something interesting is what I've learned with arceus is that I so miss so miss the traditional formula of Pokémon and then oh, it's an ad. Oh, I tried to play it, but sorry. Anyway, what do you miss? I miss just like the traditional formula. I missed the gym leaders. I missed the fucking like, oh my God, we made eye contact. We had to fight now. I just missed the city is in the towns. I really do miss that. I think there are some improvements with arceus that they're going to learn from and implement to their open world, like some of it will probably be great as someone who's only played though four hours of that game. I can't speak too much about it. But I'm sure there are some lessons learned because that game is obviously done with development and they still have many more moons to work on Scarlett violet, so I'm sure lessons learned will be implemented, but anyway, here's the voltorb program. Okay, here we go. That sounded like static. It basically is, yeah. Okay. All right, we need to compare to your Pokémon card. But yes, I think mine looks better. To answer your question, I would much rather them have modern sounding things. Like the lack of voice acting, I pointed this out in my review of legends arceus. The lack of voice acting and the digitized cries that they do from like the Game Boy era sound like they feel like so antiquated in the modern gaming landscape, especially the older versions because they are digitized, right? Like they're not like the modern sounds that they put out for like the gen 7s and gen 8s where they had the technology to make them sound a little bit more like growls or roars from wild animals. Go listen to like Pikachu's sound and like it sounds like oh this is a sound from a Game Boy game. Yeah. Yeah, but one of these days Elizabeth will get our modern Pokémon game, but who could say anyway, that's probably enough about Pokémon for now. Let's be real though, Brian, I could keep going. But I know, right? We could really keep going. But we're going to wrangle it in. I don't think there's a rope Pokémon. Like an escape, grab your escape rope and wrangle it in though. That was really bad. I was just really bad. We're going to recall the Pokémon topic and move on to the next route. We are. But first, I want to let you know that this episode of what's good games is brought to you by me undies. So imagine this, you're shopping and nothing fits right. Listen, we've all been there. And finding your perfect size can be annoying. Things either fit like a glove or you're straight up not having a good time. That's why miy Andes has the softest undies bralettes, loungewear and more that are made to fit just right. Now I've talked about my love for me undies. For quite some time now, but if you're new here, let me just tell you. There's literally nothing softer. There's literally nothing more. I'd rather have touching my nether regions than me undies. They are really that soft and I've got my husband addicted to them. I've gotten my other family members to dictate to them. You just gotta try it. Just trust me on this. Your booty will thank you..

"I. Read all the books. Because i got to kind of kind of the same thing i like. I like the signs are kind of silly. So then 'cause like literally. All max's are not compatible with me. Now that i know zodiac signs up and then i start to look up sir cast because some people wanted me to talk about zodiac sites stuff from my podcast so then i kinda out went along with it and i i kinda got into it and in some way because my brain took in all this information about the different zodiac signs. The doing podcasts. Were and i get really deep into research. I remembered it and then something historic to care and it's only be like i can never leave right up like. Oh what's your sign. I'm like no. We can't date because we're not compatible so then i got kind of intimate so pretty into now honestly i co-signed that libra is really a hard sign for you. I agree i think okay. I can't but i feel feel like i've read the you can date people that like if if someone's a libra but they're venus is a scorpio we can potentially date. Because i'm a scorpio with my venus libra. Well the thing that i would be worried about with a libra sign is that libra is your twelfth house. Which is the area of the chart got is associated with like secrets hidden things invisible stuff psychological things so often times when someone sunshine falls in that area of the chart. We are just generally like very paranoid about the relationship. We end up being sort of like we ended up bugging about things that may not actually be existing but because they are activating and sort of like we are compatible on this psychological non physical like non really tangible level it starts to get a little bit dicey so i try to avoid people from dating in their twelfth house. Because that's usually when people end up like doing secretive dodgy things with each other. however what's interesting. is that your venus in libra in the twelfth house. So it's possible that like you are also drawn to people who fall into that area of your life where secret. Maybe yeah i mean. I'm pretty secretive. So it's i mean. I think that what if we knew exactly the exact degree of the time it would be fabulous but even without that knowing that that libra activates. Your house like libra people are going to make you feel varies. Psychologically intuitively like what's going on. There's more to the story there has to be more. There has to be a reveal like there's something that's being held back. I don't know day. I've never did. Lebron care for them and to be honest usually girls can your team me not like some of them are a lot of times just like what are you up to. Yeah i guess so. What are you doing this going on. It just like always like there's just like they move a lot and they're just still a going east so my usually things you get your data by the people are accurate that you have in yourself. So it's like. I have those characteristics. So maybe i can handle it. Someone else being as outgoing know but like normally like. I don't have libra girlfriends. I also like not surprise that you don't too because that the way that illuminates your chart would not be in a way that would make you feel safe. However aquarius is like very very very good for you. I love various for you. I love aquarius is a sunshine sign. I love someone with an aquarius venus in particular. Because if you're an aquarius moon someone with an aquarius. Venus is going to be like. I'm so attracted to the way that violet needs to take care of herself. That's sweet i. I actually more drawn delay. I a lot of my friends Areas i think you have some acquires friends. Like i'm always drawn to and like. I've leo friends leo guy friends so i'm always drawn i would say like spire. Signs is i- i- resume a lot with my scorpio son and my aries mars. And i feel like that's like both are really strong in my charges in my personality so i definitely resonate with those two signs like a ally and the dating rise. It's hard for me to actually date. Water sides well. Aquarius is an air sign..

"So perseverance. What is it. It is a next upgraded version of curiosity rover. It's built on very much the same hardware plan but as happens when you get a few years. From one designed upgraded the systems and part of upgraded. The systems meant it has a belly full of crazy robotics and electronics. And they're going to use that crazy belly to gather up samples of rock. It also is carrying the first ever microphone on mars which people are far more excited about than i ever dreamed of like me. Well yeah it. It's still caught me by surprise. And they have an experiment for creating oxygen. They have a laser and they are putting rocks. Left and right and then of course. There's little ingenuity helicopter. Alright so then like compare and contrast like if we had perseverance and curiosity side by side and we were looking at them trying to spot the differences there the same size right same size and the roughly built on the same chassis. yes okay. The heads look very similar. It's when you start looking at the arms in the underbelly that everything radically changes. It's when you look at the underbelly. An armed that everything radically changed so arm does not have the little divet scraping machine that they have on curiosity that they've been using to up to rocks and remove a layer of weathered rock to see what's underneath instead. The arm has sherlock which is an ultraviolet violet spectrometer and it has a laser and they are literally zadran rocks and listening to hear how the zap sounds and using that sound getting an assessment of the density and other characters things of the rocks. This this is not something i imagine. This is the moral equivalent of doing science by knocking on wood except thursdays outing rocks.

It zest a very sweet and very thoughtful, touching movie. I think this is going to be the big winner for tonight. You know People love Frances McDormand. I think that this is gonna have a lot of Lot of success at the Golden Globes tonight. It will be up against the trial of the Chicago Seven, which, if Nomad land doesn't win trial of the Chicago Seven is going to win. This is the Aaron Sorkin. For best actors in the drama. The nominees are Riz Um, Ed Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Hopkins. I think the winners are going to be Frances McDormand and I just I don't know how Chadwick Boseman Doesn't win. He's amazing in the movie Ma Rainey's black bottom. But you know the fact that he passed away the young age and nobody knew that he was fighting cancer. I think that probably is going toe play into the Planted the decision making also for best movie, musical or comedy. The nominees are Boer at subsequent movie film Hamilton. When they put together a television version of Hamilton in the put it on Disney. Plus, this got nominated. The motion picture called Music was nominated, as was the comedy with Andy Sandberg, Palm Springs. And the Ryan Murphy directed production. The prom. And, uh, Anya Taylor, Joy dominated for the movie called Emma for best performance by an actor in a motion picture, musical or comedy. How to Care for a String of Pearls Plant

"Says a girl. I work with was throwing out a dying string of pearls plant rescued. It took it home. I cut the dead parts out and started watering it. And it started to come back to life but it's an eight inch pot which now seems way too big for the plant. Should i put it in a smaller pot or just wait for it to fill in. Well no if. I were talking directly with dana. I'd ask her how long or is this. The rim remnants of the original plant. That now looks skimpy in the pop. they can stand being a little bit of rebound now. I don't mean mashed up where those soil in the but but at the same time as a succulent there Capable of doing what she has dealt with Bless her tell her to blessed to levy that threw it out. Because that's a plant that can go on and on and on and what she did was exactly right to cut the debt out And encourage new growth even to the point depending on. How far up do you can bring visit is a penniless plant. You can cut it back up a little bit and cause it to start over again and this is almost an ideal time to do it. Our days are getting longer in terms of outside light coming in. We can always leave lights on more as a succulent. The plant does need water. No question about it and if little pearls don't don't expand. Then you know you're not giving it enough water if they expand nicely than. Don't push me on that. I would guess that in this age pot. She would probably not have to water more than every other week. Now as in watering any potted plant water thoroughly let it run through drain out into a pot of base stand. Whatever it may be men just let it start to dry again because as a succulent you can flat out. Kill them with too much kindness in terms of water Light wise. It's a very interesting plant. It can handle indoors wearing nicely. You only need to four hours of direct sun or let you say nearly direct sun in a given day thrives in house temperature Once the the we've gotten a little past this point maybe maybe a month from now she can and maybe should This plant now. I i always grab what i call the african violet low analysis. I they tell you to use x. Amount per i use half of x. And i will start fertilizing that plant it somewhere in the period of Oh late march early april. Get it going because it takes at least two weeks for fertilizer to catch up with the needs of the plant so even even could be done now if she has a place where she can keep it. Pretty good light Then the next step because it is as Any other plant would be being indoors as being a hanging planet. It can be dutiful all the way around three sixty degrees in unless she does not turn it. Maybe a quarter a third of a turn a week to the well to the window. Nearest in terms of full sun Fertilize every couple of weeks lightly. Clear on into early fall and then clinton and just enjoy the rest of the winter. So tell her. she's a winner. What the plants value is but she came out a winner And and i kinda sorry for the lead gave it up but everybody gets rid of a diet plant from time to time. And i'm glad that dana grabbed this
