T. A.'s training camp games practice we felt like this was the best move for on this team going into the season and you know runs on a really good job from a leadership standpoint from execution standpoint and we feel like that's the best thing you know for this team it continues the trend by the way this is a fun fact a Ryan Fitzpatrick of the the fun fact is that he now becomes the fourth quarterback in NFL history to start a season opener with five different teams I don't know if that's good or bad I can't figure that out like I I get it I I love the fact that he joins Vinny Testaverde Joshua county Kerry Collins so he's now the fourth quarterback to start at for five different teams on an opener alley I'll ask you do you feel like is that a good thing or a bad thing for a quarterback that you started an opener for five different teams bad because it would be one of the themes of captain like like on the one and like all that's kind of cool than the other hand I'm like that's kind of patronizing kind of just kind of his like where were you know I I don't know the other thing that needs to be pointed out and I'll say this on behalf of of fits is everywhere like my last name is just fits rights just chasing fits there's it's up it's anything all right Fitzpatrick got fits magic last year can we just stop that like his last name is Fitzpatrick cannot be Patrick magic I mean that actually has a better role to like fits P. magic of gonna come up with something else but his last name is in fits that people still my last name all the time alley I'm hurt by it you know what I'm just fits I want to be able to like I want to be able to own just fits make everybody else fitz Gerald fits Patrick Fitzsimmons I don't care what the end portion of it is it too much to ask if my last name can be the only one that

"Louis blues are Stanley Cup champions who might have a no their champion tonight to crown the Toronto. Raptors have another chance to close it out in the NBA finals get their first championship in franchise history. I want to say because of everything that we were saying about the Bruins I want to say the same thing with the warriors with the emotion of it being home last game at oracle win one for Katie. That's, that's the trend that I feel like I should be following, however, maybe all that emotion works against them. I think the trend you should be following the fact that the blues won three games in Boston. And Toronto already won two games in Golden State, right? Mid that may be the trend and quiet Leonard's unstoppable. When he takes over a game you just gotta hope Nick, nurses, and call. Okay in opportune time out, yes. There was a story about how they won game three at all. Oracle and Nick nurse said at the end of that gain guys you did we wanted to get one here. We got it and Leonard speak up. A lot said, f that we're getting them both and he went out and did exactly that. And that's quite Leonard, and that's the difference. So whether it be Jordan Bennington or Ryan Riley. You got quite Leonard doing his thing, and Pasco Seok him, who jers been talking about all year long, while the reason why first of all, Jerry credit. I know. Well, I was talking about him because I played them at ton in daily fantasy he was mispronouncing his name. So I called him out for that. And then we had a little back and forth. The talents of pass Kelsey Arkham. I know. But I don't I don't I don't think it's right for us or you in particular taking. Editor Jerry actually saying this guy Siaka are more. Because he kept saying name because he kept coming up in the, the box scores. It's not how it worked. That's okay. All right. Let's go to Steven COMEX TV, what's happening and wanting boys guys doing. All right. What's going on? Hey, man. Boom, I'm a father of a sixteen year old in nineteen year old daughters and thinking about thinking about you with the nuptials of your daughter, just hoping you can keep it together during that speech. Are you gonna cry during the speech? I don't know yet. I, I don't think so. But you never know. Well, good luck with you. Congrats. Kill. I just listen. I know dropping my daughter college, I was crying like a baby. So I can't imagine what you're going to be like at the wedding. But good luck and congrats. So a little bit about K D. Obviously, now the Knicks gonna get K D. That's the Knicks fortune. They were gonna get k- D. Now. We got now we gotta get him. Wait a year. And when he comes back, he's never going to be the same. I unfortunately my Killys five years ago. Obviously, I'm not a world class athlete, and going to have the kind of medical technology at Kevin Durant. But he's never going to be the same ad. And it's just it's just a shame seeing guy like Kevin Durant go down like that. Yes. Steve. You did the thing that Al hates the most the actually tweeted about this prior to your phone call is, it's such a classic WFAN or move to call up and talk about the injury that a athlete had. Instead, you know, I- rehab that seem injury and then try to apply that logic from that person to a guy like Kevin Durant some hosts stood as well. Yeah, I yeah. I haven't heard that so much. But, but yeah, it's it is it. You told me that it by had this achilles injury the year different professional athletes. But no now you know, I pulled my calf muscle plan softball, right? But but you're also now you're out of your now in your fifties. You know what I'm saying? Different story understand that. But I mean, like we're we're all weekend warriors in our own right doing whatever. I mean like look at run down first base. I mean, that isn't a pretty sight. I just if you tear your or given it your all aren't you, I give you everything I got much, but you'll get a job, but we're going to get it, but it's amazing because the audience here at WFAN so vast that if you say if any situation comes up, like if you said, you know, I wonder what it's like to get a piano dropped on your head. We'd have five callers. Oh, Oh, I know. I know that have been dropped on their heads. All right. Let's go to JD and west ice of JD, what's happening. Hey GM boys GM, a fine day to be on the right side of the earth. Boomer. How about reaching out to Vinny Testaverde, who is a victim of an achilles tendon tear, the first game of the ninety nine season. And then the very next year in October came back to what is arguably the Monday night, miracle and beat up on the dolphins. And one that game if falling behind thirty to seven and they ended up winning that game. Forty thirty seven so I was just wondering, perhaps you might wanna get his take on how he dealt with his achilles. You know, I actually did that game broadcast that game game was amazing, but Vinny Testaverde playing quarterback is a lot different than Kevin Durant running up and down a basketball court. Now Vinny Testaverde didn't have to leap thirty eight inches, Vinny Testaverde didn't have to do a crossover but he testaverde's. Wall, a great athlete in his own. Right. Did not really run with the ball a lot. So you're talking about an athlete that is seven foot tall that has to run up and down the basketball cord and try to regain what he was prior to the injury. And we saw glimpses of that in the last game that he played what he went three for three from the three point line was probably feeling pretty indestructible. Yeah. You probably felt like you know, my calf is back. I feel great. I can run although he didn't look all that great. And then all of a sudden think popped on them, it just it just now, now he's gonna have to go to at least at least nine months of rehab, and I wouldn't even play him unless, of course, he came back to the warriors, and the words are in the playoff again next year. And they tell them go out and play. Then you could be a part of a championship team. Why would he even come back for the Knicks next year would be beyond me, then that he's an athlete? And he wants to play. And you wants to do what he does. For a living, and I believe he has the heart of a champion to put the effort in to get himself back to some sort of normalcy. But I just wonder about what the long-term effects potentially are does this lead to other injuries. Why can't this be the first sign of him breaking down in his career wise it to he's gonna come back? It'd be better than ever. I don't know why everybody has that opinion. I mean, the ad calf everybody has that appeal. Cole up have been saying that and I've had the flight at the fight you off until you finally came around on it. I mean it seems like to me that this guy had a calf injury and achilles injury. He has logged a crane on a minutes here, especially this last season. They were playing you know constantly and he's in his thirties now and he's got he's got skinny legs. I mean this might be the first sign of a rash of injuries for a guy was never gonna say, I know though. So when I was talking about, I think the next still sign them that was my heart talking that was me wanting Kevin Durant, where knick uniform. But then after doing further investigation, and talking to people in the know and people who understand these injuries a hell of a lot better than I do. And they are real when they talk about them. These are the things that are that are concerning. And what is really concerning is what this could lead to, you know. Other injuries, right? Knee injuries quad. Injuries back injuries. How do you overcompensate for is going to be able to ever let loose again when he goes on the court look, he probably is going to end up talking to DeMarcus cousins quite a bit about this. Because the Mockus cousins is living proof that you can actually come back from it. Yeah. Yeah. I know he is. You can come back. And he's gonna face heavier right? Which I don't know if that's what is if you had to describe Kevin Durant game. Pre achilles injury. How would you describe it explosive? Right. And what is one of the most explosive tendons in your body? All the Gillies wise is an issue, James on Staten Island tap. James, what guy I was calling about the big Papi story. Chew up now, the backdrop of that store. We all kind of know is in regards to like a female. Well, that's, that's a rumor out there yet. They're saying young. But did you guys hit did you guys see that? He wrote this female and eighty four thousand dollar check. The by new Lexus. I see that. Where'd you see that it's pretty much all over online over? Is it pretty much all over, because I just I just did a it's starting to get all over starting to get all this. I've multi people call me now about this. All right. So, so what, what, what exactly does this thing, that's getting all over say? Well, it said that supposedly supply again, I don't know if this is true or not, but supposedly he was dating this girl, or seeing this girl and her name is well, I'm not gonna say her name, but she's very pretty and supposedly, she was involved with this guy who had him set up. We thought that there would be a motive of something like that behind prediction. Go ahead. He's going to this is true, the next we're going hear is the big Papi divorce. Well, yeah. I mean that's not a crazy thought right there. You know. But that's tough man. You know what you guys watch your murder shows? There's always a motive was always, like money sex. Yeah. What our we saw? Yeah. Exactly. One hundred percents of those are the three things. Yep. Those are the three things. So if that's the case, and I hate to really hate to do this. But that's the case, you know, the wife is giving statement is in the hospital by his side. And then she's got a read this stuff and. That's just that's absolutely brutal. The whole thing could have an open marriage. I'm guessing it's probably unlikely but who knows the possibility to or they not thinking, like, okay, this cameras everywhere, and it's eight thousand dollars. So let me go in and shoot. David Ortiz in a back. We'll never get caught. I mean did they actually get like five hundred feet away getting caught? Well, if the, the head of drug cartel tells you to do that, or I'll kill your family. You're going go do it. Well, that's the other part of it. If in back that, if that part of it is true guys didn't have a choice, probably. Yes, I did. Of course they arrest the guy. And that guy starts singing. He's, he's, he's dead either way. Yeah. There's yeah. Doesn't matter for him. He's teased on that guy's cooked lucky that they didn't kill him out in the street because he spoke. And now you can get the full story they killed them in the street who knows. Maybe everybody would have gotten away Scot free. I'm curious to see though now how the thirties handle this motive thing because they because everybody wants to protect David. Ortiz, and they weren't saying a thing about the mode of yesterday in that press conference, and they were, they were showing off. They showed the gun. They showed the guys they were, they were proud of themselves, but they did not talk about a motive and how many of them are. Yeah. Right. Compromises a nice way to put it eats. You have to Brady is a big quarterback, man. He is not little no, he's not a few of the more. You should see Vinny Testaverde. Oh, hey. Testified. He was so damn big to answer. You guys question. Yes. They were talking about the raiders obviously with the only team with three first round picks. And he went on to say he's impressed with column Orie who might become the shortest quarterback in NFL history. And he went on also say we're looking for guys who can play they come in all shapes sizes and size. That's a good, by the way. Great. I think if you go in there, I'm just looking for the best players. That's a really good starting point. But there's also when I hear what Roger said the shortest quarterback in NFL history. You know, what I'm gonna move on to set it record with that? Record with smallest guy ever in a sport. This Phil Yuki said at the other day, this is a big, man. Big, man. Big man game. I'm not taking the smallest ever. Also, a big man came, and they're still have been enough exceptions to let you know that sometimes if the guy is just that good. He's just that good. The question is is kinda Murray that guy and from the way that he has been playing in college to answer tends to be no right because the style of play may not be that guy. No. I think he I think he could play in the NFL. I said that many you just don't think you should be your first round put I'm not taking my first round pick. He can play on Sundays, and he might go on and be a hall of fame quarterback. But I'll not willing to take that chance with my first round. I'm not taking anybody that has an escape hatch. Like he does. I'm million dollar scape. Hatchet, go play baseball. Not not not there. There's just I'm not gonna have short and bass Paul no top of that, man. "Radio all throughout the day. Greg Cody of the Miami Herald in with us, he is calling it the legitimate Super Bowl, and I actually want to have the conversation. We were off yesterday. I'm sure you were sick yesterday that all of ESPN gathered around in front of a microphone and spent the whole day complaining about the officiating that that's all that happened. Yesterday's everybody. Yelling about the officiating. Can I ask you though, how? Do you fix that? Because I keep watching over and over on my television. What was obviously an egregious blown call. But I also know that every time I'm watching it television slowing it down for me happens in real time. And unless you allow the ability to challenge, I can see how that mistake can be made from the wrong angle. They're slowing it down for us again. And again to show how a grievous it was. But that's not how it happens in real time. And I've seen angles where it seems like they're arriving at the same time. I've seen angles at our optical illusions that make it feel like they're arriving at the same time. So I'm wondering what the hell do you do replay actually made it look less bad real time. Video of that makes it look clear as day as everyone was shouting as it happened, but you fix it with more. He play you fix. It by slowing it down even more. You've gotta give you gotta give the coaches what Bella checks been arguing about for years. Give me the ability to challenge everything, but three challenges still. Oh, whatever our ten challenge. I don't care. What difference? Does it make? If you want to get it. Right. Get a right hundred challenge you want to slow down the game that much though. I don't care if you're if the goal is to get it. Right. It's not looks to God's slow down the game on the wind is Super Bowl or people tuning out on football on those games. It's not about the aesthetics. Do you want to get it, right or not? Yes, or no. Yes. Yes. I want to get it. Right. How about the real obvious ones though about those how about on every single one? But just like from the York is wall and say, hey, guys, we just this one. Let's take a closer look at it. Hold you before about the idea of this all started with Vinny Testaverde on the goal line cell phone communication for a while. There. We became very dependent on it before the technology was right, ES ESPN, and all these outlets televising this stuff with the referees. And the NFL we are learning in real time. The changes that need to be made just like Dez Bryant catch. Not a catch opening to change that we are learning the cellphone towers at the beginning, we became so dependent on it that there were a lot of people that were not getting good reception because we. Didn't have the right satellites and things weren't working correctly. Because we needed something we craved something. But the technology wasn't there yet. Now, we have more technology than we've ever had. But it's not microscopic specific it's not perfect. And I'm sitting here telling you, I still don't know after seeing one hundred replays, if Julian Eshelman touched that football or not, and if we're gonna do it that microscopes quickly, then you've got to be prepared for judgment colds calls by old guys putting the wrong team in the Super Bowl. Like, if you're going to do this ain't the right way to do it. It's better than anything. We've had but it's still incomplete I get human error, but every place should be review -able, and I also get that even slow mauve reviews aren't gonna make every play. But why problem in college football? It doesn't feel like this happens in college football, the refs just go and replace stuff when his questionable does it seem to you like Kentucky versus South Carolina's taking too long.
