On 50 westbound, the crash activity through buoys going to be after callington road to right lane should be getting by their river road at last report still blocked westbound by the high standing water after Whittier boulevard in the district rock creek Parkway northbound from the Potomac freeway to K street. You got some delays already building from about blank road headed up towards 17 watch out for those brake lights. Again, only a single lane is gonna get you by through that area. The good news is once you get past 17 through the centerport Parkway area through Stafford and up towards woodbridge, you're gonna be just fine. No delays there. If you're headed southbound on I 95, the delays begin right at about the lorton exit towards one 23. That's because of the work crew only letting by a single lane as well. Watch out for those delays. Westbound side of 66 looks like rush hour here from the bellway over towards nutley street a single lane as well. It looks like eastbound they may be setting up after one 23. I'll give you more info on that one as I find it. In a little bit of the beltway looks good, headed up through Tyson's and up towards the American legion bridge, southbound I two 70 after one O 9. Looks like the work group blocking the far right lane single left lane gets you by there with some delays headed towards clarksburg. I 95 BW Parkway not to worry, no issues there. 97 Georgia avenue between noise drive and spring street. They got the work crew blocking two right lanes tonight, no real delays through that area. Thanks rich the big issue right now is going to be the southbound side of the two 70 spur as of now. The ramp that takes you onto democracy boulevard from the two 70 spur southbound is still blocked. In fact, I'm watching more emergency vehicles pull up right as I'm making this report here. Once again, the ramp from the two 70 spur onto democracy boulevard completely shut down. You are going to have to find an alternate route. I 95, BW Parkway and beltway traffic all looking fantastic. If you're headed into the district, D.C. two 95 is a great choice. So is the suitland Parkway central avenue and New York avenue all routes headed into the city looking fantastic here this early morning. Southeast southwest freeway up to speed as well. And of course, if you're coming inbound from Virginia, go ahead and take your pick of which bridge you want to take because they're all running nicely. If you're headed on the eastbound side of 66, it's very possible that this has cleared, but watch out regardless, the listener said that there was a disabled vehicle on the right lane if you're heading to eastbound after 28 on 66, so in stay to the far left just in case they're still out there. Northbound I 95 looks good. However, as you cross the 14th, you've already got some closures that affect for today's Independence Day parade and fireworks event. The ramp to lower 14th street exit. One is closed as is the ramp to the 12th street expressway, if you're southbound on three 95 as you come out of the third street tun that right exit that takes you toward main avenue, that is shut down main avenues also closed as a result as well as would be aware, constitution and independence avenue already have closures across the mall and keep in mind the crossroads are going to be closed as well. Tigers, an incident in south end on the Baltimore Washington Parkway just before you get down to Maryland 32 again, you're squeezing by single file to write, looks like it was the end of a pursuit and ended with a crash with one overturned in the median strip so again, shout down to get by single file to write for now north on all lanes are open. When the toe arrives on scene to recover unclear what they're gonna have to do, but just be careful. If you headed that way, expect delays, but especially on the southbound sides of lay's begin, just shortly as after you pass one 75, headed down toward route 32. Now, good news down in Calvert county, long-standing crash, cleanup and investigation on route four at saint Leonard road the roadway has been reopened in both directions. It will take a little bit for delays to ease, but again, traffic is now moving in both directions on route four southern Maryland boulevard. Now if you're traveling on the beltway at last check, there are still cleaning up the incident on the analytics that I'll be just after saint Barnabas road. At last check that was still blocking the two right lanes, but you get by pretty much without delay, but be aware there's still out there working. Rest of the beltway through Maryland and Virginia remains in good shape. Looks like any delay that was left from the crash down in Springfield and 95 stop pounds south of 6 44. And so I get buzzed by my secretary, which was I'm like pinching myself. I have a secretary. Are you kidding me? So Aaron buzzes me. She says, you're not gonna believe this. And I said, who's on the phone? She said, Rolling Stone. I'm like, shot the door. Are you kidding me? So I get on the phone with Rolling Stone, and they're like, hey, we finally got a chance to open the things that matter. The project from Vince Gill, and we're doing a roundup story about artists who have moved from one genre of music to another genre music, and we would like to include Vince. I'm like, oh, great. And I'm like talking like a blue streak, and he's an amazing guitar player is amazing. From Oklahoma, I'm not. So the next thing that happens with a guy on the phone says, well, you know we're very political, we'd like to think of ourselves as a political cutting edge magazine and not only do we talk about music, we talk about lifestyle and what's going on. And so just want to upfront tell you that one of the things we're going to talk to Vince about is his alleged homosexuality. And I bad drop the phone. I'm like, well, he's happily married and he's got a little girl or her name is Jennifer and I don't think you have your spacs right. I mean, I'm what am I doing here? Whatever, and all of a sudden, now I'm on the phone for probably 20 minutes, right? I hear this laugh. And it spins. He what do they call that? He punked you. He totally did. And I'm like, I'm going to kill you. Nobody said. Because you really believe in me. I said, I did. I said, do you still? And so to this day, if I see him, I'm like, hey, you've been in Rolling Stone lately. I mean, that was how many years ago. So he was a wonderful sense of humor.

Didn't get to go see them And a year and a half two years ago they announced they were going to do a hotel california tour and linden i said. Hey let's get tickets and we did and the show ended up getting because of all the Pandemic and the tickets that have been sitting there in my ticketmaster q. Finally came on tuesday. September twenty first at american airlines center in dallas texas. So i'm going to talk about the show a little bit. So if you don't care about the live show. You don't care about the eagles Thank you for downloading this one. You can skip it and move on to the next one. The premise is that they were going to do hotel hotel california in its entirety. And we we got there and plenty of time because american airlines had said that they would require proof vaccination or a negative cova test for admittance into the venue So i had both linden. I shot records As we were walking into the building. I there was somebody asking and when i reached for him he weighed me in so i think if someone had just had a piece of paper in their wallet. They would waived him. But oh what am i gonna you know i. I'm doing the right thing. mask were encouraged. It's everywhere there were signs. They asked everyone to keep their mask on. I would say ninety five to ninety eight percent of the people in the audience kept their mask on even while they were in their seats It was good to see you know. Saw few people wandered around a couple of guys that look like they can't be bothered wearing a mask and a couple of Middle aged women mostly. I think that were not Wearing a mask but overall most people had him on We got to into the arena and we sat down and our seats were lower level. straight to the kind of to the. If you're facing the stage we were Stage left i guess and There's a curtain on the stage and they said about seven fifty seven forty five. They said the show will saw promptly at eight. Oh five and then round seven fifty. Five eight o'clock the show will start promptly at eight. Oh five and so were there. Nato five the lights dim and the sky dressed kind of is a in a suit Walked across stage and went to i guess stage left and picked up the hotel. California vinyl showed the album to the audience. Took the album out blue on it. The way you used to do. Put it on a turntable foot. The arm and as you said it down the curtain started rising up and you started hearing the opening chords of hotel california We had hotel california new kid in town life in the fast line wasted time which is one of my favorite favorite Eagle songs They had a the new texas symphony orchestra Playing on it. So they had this whole string orchestra. Everyone was massed Then at the end of that This stages dark and a tall Woman that was in like a black fancy dress with a see through Skirt the skirt when all the way down to her Like our ankles. But it was a see-through and she walked all the way across the stage took the album flipped it over foot. The arm on again and then the orchestra started playing again We heard wasted time again. The reprise victim of love pretty maids all in a row. Try and love again. And then last resort The don henley then came out. You know from he. He took turns either being the drum and singing or being in the front playing itar He thanked us all for being there. he said it was there. Were so happy to do this. And he said we're gonna go take a fifteen minute break and come back and play every song we know And then a little weird is when they came back. They had all changed clothes like they had dressed up. They were in suits for hotel california and then when they started playing the other they were more in jeans. And like you know just flannel shirts or just regular casual garb. They opened with the seconds. I guess the second set Seven bridges road then did take it. Easy one of these nights take to limit lying eyes which you woman. And then joe walston in the city One of the really interesting things is with. Glenn fry no longer with us. They needed someone. And you know. Randomize does not tour with eagles anymore. They needed someone to handle the high vocals so they did that in two ways. One glenn fries son deacon fry toured and he looks just like his father He has his hair down to his shoulders mustache. He looks like he could have been a member of the eagles in the seventies his voice is very close to his dad and the other Really really great thing to see. Was vince gill Doing some of the songs had a wonderful. I just love in skills voice and he was seeing it. So that was great After in the city did. I can't tell you why peaceful easy feeling tequila sunrise. The shoes Then lifespan good already. Gone heartache tonight. And then they went off. Stage came back Three song encore rocky mountain way. Once again joe walsh desperado. With the strings brought back and then they ended with best of my love. Absolutely amazing show A was great. They were filled filled with so much harmony. I i loved hearing them singing Not a lot of talk between songs but Don henley did mention that At one point there was the university of university texas. at arlington's acapella choir was singing background and he made the joke and their grandparents are big fans of ours He talked about the twenty years ago. The eagles was the first band that played at the american airlines center. When it opened here in dallas So linen i had a great time. the show lasted about three hours. From when you figure including you know running clock so even when they took the break between hotel california and the others keeping the clock running It was a school night. So i am a little bit tired today but overall To here last resort and wasted time formed live with an orchestra is something i never would have thought i'd seen and it definitely checks off a list to me of of a band that i loved and i'm now glad i got to see so if you've gone and seen a ban that you love and you it's been a while like you've always wanted to see them.
